Bad Rubber is a single-issue furry parody of the movie Film/BladeRunner written and drawn in 1983 by Creator/SteveGallacci in the same first prototype issue of ComicBook/AlbedoErmaFelnaEDF, his also famous debut work, albeit it's not related to Albedo in any way and It also has the honor to be the first professional comic book story written by him.

The story is very similar to that of the movie the comic book riffs to: A cop, an anthropomorphic duck named Rick Duckert, which is a reference to Rick Deckard from the same movie, has the mission to retire some androids called "Rubbers" (a parody of the Replicants) while going through many quite crazy adventures. The story follows in a abridged way the plot of the film with lots of Pun lame puns and shout-outs from both Film/BladeRunner and other works.

You can read the original comic for free in Gallacci's personal homepage right here.

NOTE: Since the comic uses in an abridged way the original plot of the movie, there are many spoilers of the original film here.

----
!!Bad Rubber provides examples of:

* Artificial Anthro: Averted. Unlike the Replicants, the Rubbers are completely mechanical inside, and they bleed oil.
* BlackBlood: Justified here, because the Rubbers bleed oil rather than blood.
* Parody: Of Film/BladeRunner, albeit with furries.
* PunnyName: The name "Rubber" (the in-universe parodies of Film/BladeRunners Replicants) is also a slang for "condom".
* SettingUpdate: While the original film took place in Los Angeles, in the comic the action take place in Tacoma, WA, a fact lampshaded in the comic. As an additional note, the author is originally from the state of Washington.
