He begins the series wandering around the ruins near his home, and after awakening a sleeping Organoid which he names "Zeke" (after his father's prized Command Wolf Zoid) and a MysteriousWaif who identifies herself as "Fiona", heads off on a journey to find "Zoid Eve" and restore Fiona's lost memories. Then later on, said man he saved stole a Zoid from a Republican base, and attacked the capital which caused some casualties to innocents.

184	A new member to the group, Thomas is an Imperial soldier who joins up with the Guardian Force to help peacekeep Zi as part of a joint operation with the Helic Republic, and is thus assigned as Van's partner as the Empire's representative. Thomas is also the younger brother of Colonel Karl L. Schubaltz, someone that Van and the Helic Republic fought against in the previous war. It takes awhile for Thomas to warm up to Van due to their contrasting personalities and due to his own crush on Fiona and his insecurities in trying to confess his feelings, however eventually the two form an effective friendship and work better as a team.

186	Thomas pilots a Dibison and uses a personal AI that he built called BEEK to assist him in combat. Interestingly enough, Thoma is the only character on the team who never gets a new Zoid, sticking with the Dibison throughout the course of the show.
