[[folder:Team Triple Threat]]
!!Lotto (Jang-Gun)
A member (often considered to be a leader) of the team Triple Threat and the main character of the story. In the real world he acts as a diligent student always reading (or pretending to) some learning material and claiming that he doesn't know much about virtual games since he barely even watches TV. In Lost Saga his personality is a complete opposite of that image where he is loud, violent and selfish to the extreme.
------
* AccidentalPervert: His first meeting with Yureka's creator consisted of time by walking in on her...taking a yearly body scan. [[DontExplainTheJoke (Which is to say, naked)]].
* AGodAmI: After adjusting Yureka personality with a modified berserk spell during tournament states himself that he loves playing God. It bite him in the ass HARD when, after the match is over, the still blood-thirsty Yureka sensed his hostility and splattered him on the ring.
* [[spoiler: AlwaysSaveTheGirl: In the latest story arc. By his own admission, he has nothing to gain and can't possibly salvage their relationship or be forgiven, yet he risks everything (including his own life) in a gambit to save Yureka.]]
* AntiHero: Pretty morally ambiguous.
** He once tortured an enemy with a pair of nail clippers. But, they were trying to murder him...and it won't damage them in real life...and he was trying to help someone...so it's okay, right? ...But they could really feel it...and Lotto seemed to be [[SlasherSmile enjoying it]]...
** During the Tournament battle with Rapha, he started taunting her by burning her clothing off bit by bit, in front of '''almost all the players in Lost Saga'''. All because she called him a little runt.
--->'''Lotto''': Hey, it looks like they're starting a fan club for you! You wouldn't want to disappoint them, would you?
--->'''Rapha''': You can't do this!
--->'''Lotto''': Watch me. Or close your eyes. Makes no difference.
* TheAtoner: His motivation for helping Mirenne after what he feels was cowardice dealing with [[spoiler: Jaeha]].
* AwesomeByAnalysis: Prefers to keep things simple and blow up or fry his opponent with overwhelming force, but when facing someone stronger he is very adept at analyzing the situation, figuring out possible solutions and trying them out in a pattern that is most likely to bring him ultimate victory.
* BattleCouple: With Yureka.
* BerserkButton: Reacts poorly to comments regarding his [[TheNapoleon height]].
%%* BrattyHalfPint
* BrilliantButLazy: His life before the events of the story consisted of ''appearing'' to be incredibly studious while actually devoting all his time to {{MMORPG}}s and acing his classes with sheer talent.
%%* DisappearedDad
* DisguisedInDrag: Regularly conceals his identity on Lost Saga and comparative parts of the Net by logging in as Yureka. Not actually played up at all after the first instance.
* DisproportionateRetribution: Beating people up for interrupting his train of thoughts, setting them on fire for the slightest insult (intentional or otherwise), or writing their name with their own blood (by using their body as a brush) for playing a prank on him. His personal life philosophy is the main page quote.
* TheFace: For Team Triple Threat. God help them.
* FairWeatherMentor: To Jijon Jang when he decides to take him under his extremely dubious wing as "Yureka".
* FlamingSword: His weapon of choice is an exploding one with the ability to repair itself.
* FourPhilosophyEnsemble: The Cynic
* {{GIRL}}: When he's playing as Yureka.
* HairTriggerTemper: It really does not take much to set him off.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Revels in acting like a jerk, but fails to act completely immoral 100% of the time, rather to his own disappointment.
* MagicKnight: As a master-level mage whose secondary class is swordfighting.
* ManIFeelLikeAWoman: Implied. On Yureka's first appearance she is controlled by Lotto. Later, he attempts to "prove" that Yureka isn't an NPC by pointing out that she has a mole on her thigh.
-->'''Yureka:''' "Say, Lotto, how did you know I had that mole there? I was wearing pants."
* ManipulativeBastard: In universe embodiment of this trope.
%%* TheNapoleon:
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: He really shouldn't have put so much effort into breaking the seal under the Demon King palace.
* ObliviousToLove: It took him a ''really'' long time to learn the reason behind Jaeha's actions.
* ParentalNeglect: Jang-Gun's mom is pretty hands-off.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: One of the strongest players in the game. And one of the shortest players in the game.
* PlayingWithFire: Lotto has a variety of spells at his disposal but fire magic is his clear specialty and usually the first thing used whenever someone pisses him off.
%%* PyroManiac: Emphasis on "maniac" is sometimes necessary. Usually when he's directing the mania at his ''allies''.
* RagingStiffie: He suffered from this after he walked on naked Jaeha, it caused him some trouble since the state of his body rendered the result of the body scan he took afterwards too embarrassing to use.
* ScaryShinyGlasses: When he's ClarkKenting these are sometimes used to enforce emotional distance in Jang Gun.
* SuperDrowningSkills: Panicked embarrassingly in chest-high water during the Ark arc. [[RememberedICouldFly Until he remembered he could levitate.]]

!!Yureka[[note]]Despite being created by Jaeha and sharing her looks, Yureka is (for most of the story) a completely separate person. At a certain point of the story, she is absorbed by Jaeha. From then, they become one, with Jaeha being the one in control but with Yureka's personality taking over most of her behavior.[[/note]]
An advanced AI created by [[spoiler:Jaeha as a copy of her own personality]] in order to serve as her double when she is on a missions. After [[SatchelSwitcheroo mistakenly falling into Jang-Gun's hands]] and becoming used by him in the Lost Saga she was revealed to be a self-aware, fully sentient entity capable of feelings. Yureka's personality is somewhat childish, naive, curious and airheaded but at the same time kind and compassionate. She is very attached to Lotto and prefers to remain by his side, as well as her appearance in the game being exclusively attached to his (unless it is Lotto himself who uses her appearance).
------
%%* ActionGirl
* AIIsACrapshoot: a complete subversion, Yureka is actually one of the most compassionate and kind characters in the series often caring for others more than they do for themselves (due to the fact that player characters can't really die or feel pain in the game while Yureka do and is afraid of it). In fact in comparison to her many other players come out as HumansAreBastards
* BadassAdorable: Physically more mature than most this trope is associated with but her innocent nature and cheerful attitude make her really cute.
%%* BattleCouple: With Lotto
* TheBerserker: For a short time during the tournament thanks to Lotto messing up her brain with a berserk spell.
%%* BewareTheNiceOnes
* BitchInSheepsClothing:
** Yureka herself is as far from being this as possible but Lotto occasional take-overs of her body (without changing his way of acting) has convinced some players to suspect Yureka of being this and only playing innocent when around Lotto.
** Jaeha in game appearances, either in her own body or by hijacking Yureka's, makes this impression even stronger and darker.
** It is possible however that after [[FusionDance they began sharing one body]] Yureka was this to Jaeha maintaining her own innocent image in front of Lotto while at the same tame trying to make Jaeha look bad to him and preventing her from coming out as much as she could.
* BladeSpam: Her SuperSpeed can make her attacks look like this
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Spends most of the time walking her own separate path while the reality of the current events walks on another.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: She is a [[TheDitz Ditzy]] harmless GenkiGirl 90% of the time but if proper buttons are pushed she can [[CurbStompBattle wipe the floor with almost anyone and anything in the game]] thanks to her program's MegaManning abilities and maxed out stats.
%%* TheDitz: Seriously.
* DualWielding: Her preffered weapons are dual daggers/shortswords though if need be she can manage almost as well with her bare hands
* FashionableAsymmetry: In both of her outfits. Most notable are the asymmetrical heights of her boots. On the ZettaiRyouiki scale, the right is an F, and the left is an A.
%%* FourPhilosophyEnsemble: The Optimist
%%* FusionDance: [[spoiler:With Jaeha and Ijoyen.]]
%%* GeniusDitz
%%* GenkiGirl
* MamaBear: No one hurts Lotto on her watch and gets away with it.
* MegaManning: Yureka has the ability to copy techniques from other characters, instantly mastering any ability she sees to the point of performing tricks better than players who worked up to being able to use them effectively on her first try. Though she mostly does this with moves that are related to her class, if she tries hard enough she can learn skills that should be completely unobtainable for a swordmaster.
* RobotGirl: Cute as anything and totally digital. Deepens the story's theme questioning the nature of humanity and AIs ''and'' Lotto gets to show off his tall blonde escort.
* SplitPersonality:
** Lotto's occasional usage of her body without changing his own way of acting may give this impression.
** [[spoiler:Yureka herself is created from a fragment of Jaeha's personality; the comatose Jaeha and Neogia can commandeer her visage the same way Lotto does, either taking over the body or cooperating in it together. Given that Yureka herself is not a human, it can be debated whether this condition is closer to being one part of a split personaliy or a MindHive.]]
%%* SuperSpeed
* UnskilledButStrong: Yureka is very inexperienced as a player and often doesn't even understand what other characters are doing, all of her stats however are hacked and boosted to the absolute maximum making her faster, stronger, tougher and more agile than any player character (and most of the monsters) can hope to be
--> '''John''': ''Mountain trolls don't hit that hard.''

!!Ah-Dol (Woon-Suk)
* BadassLongRobe: Combines with AllEncompassingMantle and InTheHood for an innocuous traveller-mage effect. [[FlungClothing Discards it as soon as there's a real fight.]]
%%* BarefistedMonk
* BerserkButton: Seems relatively calm until his brother shows up.
* DeathGlare: Sports a killer one. [[EyesAlwaysShut When his eyes are open]], that is.
* EyesAlwaysShut: But when he does open them, look out.
* FourPhilosophyEnsemble: The Realist
* MisterExposition: Especially in the early chapters.
* TheStoic: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] perhaps 10% of the time by HairTriggerTemper.

!!Boromir (Kwan-Su)
* CasanovaWannabe: To get on hot girl good side he will do anything - including instant betrayal of his friends - despite that (or rather because of that) said girl would avoid him as much as possible
* ChivalrousPervert: The panty watcher. If it's chivalrous that he'll ditch his teammates in battle if they're fighting a cute girl, that is.
* CombatMedic: Though he's more of a bruiser than a healer.
* DirtyCoward: Boromir's scampering from a fight can go beyond pathetic sometimes. Never judge him as a man not willing to use his allies as a meat shield!
* FourPhilosophyEnsemble: The Apathetic or The Conflicted
* LovableCoward: When he's not being its [[DirtyCoward inverse]]. It's not infrequently that he's been known to hide behind a rock during a fight, but with team members [[DisproportionateRetribution like]] [[OneManArmy his]] you can hardly blame him.
* MightyGlacier: His master level hammer's weight makes it glacially slow, but once it connects it can either deliver a massive damage to a single target or deal a wide area of damage.
* OnlySaneMan: Of Team Triple Threat when the other two original members fall into...uh...[[UnstoppableRage unstoppable killing rage]]. His natural cowardice means he's only middlingly effective. Party dynamics mean things often go much like this bit from chapter one:
-->'''Lotto''': ''(ensconced in a pillar of fire)'' '''HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! DESTROY EVERYTHING!'''
-->'''Boromir''': What!? That punk Gun is at it again! Tell him to stop, Woon-Suk!
-->'''Adol''': ''(mauling something to death with his bare hands)'' '''''Shut up, I'm busy right now.'''''
* PrinceCharmingWannabe: All the way.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Other Mainland Players]]
!!Rapha (Da-Bin)
A companion and owner of John who she has a deep crush on, Rapha strongest characteristic is her complete devotion and protectivness towards her guardian, aside from that she is an emotional girl and is easy to provoke or burst into tears.
------
%%* ACupAngst
* CameBackWrong: Resurrected as a Phantom - courtesy of Ilban who did it ForTheEvulz
* StatusBuff: speciality of the Cleric class
* {{Yandere}}:Usually only deredere for John but God help you if you ever happen to kill her beloved or hold his life in your hands, Rapha will do ANYTHING to protect him and in the event this failed she would curse you for the rest of your life and made sure to remind you of it Every. Single. Day.

!!Lowe (Jun-suk)
* AscendedExtra: Shows up in the first chapter when the trio begrudgingly lets him tag along on a dungeon crawl, basically to play outsider point-of-view to the IAmNotLeftHanded FirstEpisodeTwist. It's pretty surprising when he not only returns, but becomes ''important.''
%%* [[spoiler:BlindWeaponmaster]]
* [[spoiler:DisabilitySuperpower]]: Discovered that remaining blinded for a long period of time[[labelnote:*]]Normally, a player would heal such an injury by logging out and back in at their nearest convenience, but the currently ongoing event blocked players from logging back in if they logged out[[/labelnote]] allows the player to enhance their other senses to the point where they allow his perception to surpass sight in certain areas (while still remaining handicapped in others).
* TheMagnificent: You may call me Lowe the Mighty!
* SupportingLeader: During the invasion arc.
* TookALevelInBadass: Twice. The first when he went from ButtMonkey to SupportingLeader, second when [[spoiler:he levels up to Master level during the actual fighting]].
* YouShallNotPass: When during the [[HoldTheLine defense of the Normal City]] United Guild Forces were annihilated and scattered he was pulling this off against the whole Demon Invasion Army until his example inspired other players to join him.

!!Aradon
%%* BountyHunter
* CoolSword: Gladiat - Sword of Light
* EvilCounterpart: Introduced as such to Lotto. Ironic in that he's probably [[GreyAndGreyMorality more moral]].
* MagicKnight: He's a double master mage/swordsman.
* TheRival: To Lotto and the feeling is mutual
* ShockAndAwe: As a sorcerer he specializes in lightning magic. And is very good with it.

!!Jijon Jang
A younger ice mage who is introduced as a {{Jerkass}} using [[LoopholeAbuse game loopholes]] to frame, rob, kill, and extort other players (with a particular grudge toward the ones that became famous during the city defense in the Demon War) in order to get money for his gaming fees.
------
* AnIcePerson: As a mage Jijon Jang specializes in using ice magic.
* BrattyHalfPint: Moreso in both respects than the protagonist.
* CharacterDevelopment: Initially thanks to tutelage from Lotto of all people, and later due to an extremely traumatic (and near fatal) confrontation with Jaeha that almost made him stop playing. Somewhat gets over his fears thanks to Phuan, who partnered with him (bullying him into it a little) and even pays for part of his gaming expenses.
* CouldntFindAPen: On at least one occasion Yureka given Jang a Game Over by [[http://ja.gram.pl/upl/blogi/98610/img_wpisy/2012_46/CouldntFindAPen.jpg writing on a wall with his crushed body.]]
* EvilCounterpart: If Aradon is Lotto's [[TheRival Rival]], Jijon Jang is the personification of most immoral traits.
* ForTheEvulz: The kid doesn't need an excuse to be a jerk.
* HeelRealization: Has a minor one.
-->'''Jang:''' "''Does this mean all my [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder backstabbing]], scams of all kinds, [[PlayerKilling player killings]] and more importantly, my [[SerialKillerKiller PK-hunting]], all this [[ThisIsUnforgivable won't be forgiven]]?''"
* JerkAss: Compared to him Lotto comes out as a saint, at the moment of his introduction (and for a long time after that) he acts on nothing but ambition, greed and jealousy.
* KarmaHoudini: Subverted. While he ends up as a somewhat likeable character despite all the evil things he has done he almost died before it by having a close encounter with an evil far greater than his own petty {{Jerkass}}ery.
* LoopholeAbuse: Was very fond of using them to frame and kill other players.
* MarshmallowHell: Due to his small height and running without looking in front of him unintentionally given himself this with both Lotto-controlled Yureka and real-life Phuan, they both didn't thought much of it but he still was PK-ed by Yukera and mugged (and later kidnapped into teaming with her) by Phuan.
* RunningGag: Whenever he talks back to Yureka (controlled by Lotto) a "- NOW LOADING -" screen appears informing us that he was just killed (again).
* {{Schemer}}: More this than Lotto's [[TheChessmaster Chessmaster]]/[[GuileHero Guile Hero]]/ManipulativeBastard.
* SerialKillerKiller: [=PKkills=] for profit and [[ForTheEvulz the lulz]].

!!Mirenne (Jinyoung)
[[quoteright:325:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mirenne_9018.jpg]]
* BitchInSheepsClothing: During her travels with Jang and Crunade she was acting [[TheDitz Ditzy]] and politely however once Jaeha kidnapped Jang and it was up to Mirenne to stall the pursuit she started acting like a brutal, foulmouthed backstabber.
* GenderReveal: While on the net Mirenne talks like a girl and looks very much like one it turns out that in real life she is actually a guy who learned how to hack his character data to make it look like a girl that he couldn't become in real life.
* KickTheDog: Was almost killed by the person s/he admired and trusted the most for no other reason than "I just have to kill someone and you are here"
* OneHitKill: Her schtick is a low attack power countered by a high chance of striking a critical hit.
* PlayfulHacker: Mirenne developed hacking skills so she could [[spoiler:change her character to be female]], a pretty big contrast to [[TheCracker the other major hacking characters]]. Her exploring the limits of the Net is exemplified by things like her making Jang-Gun's avatar taller for the bar negotiation without him asking. (Up to interpretation whether it was a favor, just to screw with him, or both.)
* TheMedic: She is a priest so she can heal others. At least if they have enough time to wait for her low skill to do the job
* [[spoiler:TheMole]]: [[spoiler: Mirenne was Jaeha's plant in Lotto's makeshift ([[UnwittingPawn though not as thrown-together as he thought]]) group in the contest between her an Elca.]]

!!Crunade
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crunade_1702.jpg]]
* BigEater: Is eating something practically at all times.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: A mild example - on the surface he appears as rather slow thinker but while it may or may not be true that he is not very fast he keeps thinking about the problem until he figures it out. He also apparently memorized tons of information in order to already have it on hand if the time is too short for him to figure it out by himself.
* TheMole: [[spoiler: More or less. Though not acting as a villain, he was supposed to be a [[InnocentBystander random player]] in Lotto's party but was instead revealed to be an agent of Elca, sent to help Lotto.]]
* MrExposition: Some key words (usually names of people or places) may prompt him into delivering a quick encyclopedia-like explanation about the topic at hand (whether the question was directed at him or even whether it was a question at all doesn't seem to be much of a factor in causing him to do this). This habit is at odds with his [[TheQuietOne non-vocal behavior]] and sometimes makes other people surprised or even shocked.
* NoSocialSkills: Is not very good at communicating with other peaople and usually prefers to follow someone else orders rather than participate in making a group decisions.
* StoneWall: His defense is so strong that it takes a lot of blows just to hurt him. His attack power, however, is very weak.
* TheQuietOne: [[TheVoiceless Didn't speak]] for chapters after his introduction.

!!Alpha / Beta / Delta / Gamma / Omega (Wunha)
Ah-Dol's older brother and an acquaintance of Jang-Gun. He runs a Net cafe.
------
* AloofBigBrother: Alpha ''attempts'' to be unable to care less about his younger brother's actions, and when not drawn into bickering, threat exchanges and throat-tearing, succeeds admirably. Enough to irritate Adol, at least. He's been known to throw fights that were a matter of pride to Adol, much to the latter's shame and chagrin.
%%* BarefistedMonk
* BunnyEarsLawyer: He sure is quirky, (and gets hung up on being a ninja,) but that's part of why he's one of the most powerful players in the game.
* ConfusionFu: His original primary fighting technique.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: His in-game traits that stands out the most are his ridiculous behavior and non-existent naming ability which instantly blows his cover whenever he tries to pretend he is someone else (which is most of the time), despite that his knowledge of in-game mechanics is second only to the people from gaming companies (and not all of them) while his hacking abilities come close to those of a virtual killers. Similar in real life at first glance he is a cheerful cyber-cafee clerk who is often unable to control situation in his own shop but his knowledge of things ranging from inner workings of large companies to the existence of cyber-assassins is downright frightening and makes one wonder how and why is he amassing such wast amounts of information about things that normal people shouldn't know about at all...
* JackOfAllTrades / RenaissanceMan: This is his approach to Lost Saga, earning him the custom class "Ranger."
* MasterOfNone: His diverse skill-gaining has prevented him from achieving master level in any single category.
* {{Ranger}}: Wun-ha masters the intermediate skills of many classes, leaving him effectively master-level several times over without having reached this distinction in any class. There being no category for this, Il-Ban, the oldest player in the game (no, he hasn't been playing the longest...he's just [[CoolOldGuy old]]) and master-level anti-priest, dubs him member of a new class, ''Alpha the Ranger''. Wun-ha is put out by this (he wanted to be a {{Ninja}} and sticks to one class at a time (mostly) thereafter.

!The Fallen Angels / The Lovely Angels
In real life a pair of pop singers called the Lovely Angels, the Lee sisters are master-level thieves who use the Net as an escape, where they style themselves the treasure-hunting pair the Fallen Angels. Introduced as casual victims seeking revenge on the original Team Triple Threat, they are now uneasy allies with Lost Saga's other powerful players.
Tropes common to the Angels:
------
* AdventurerArchaeologist: They attempt to invoke this by using their class for treasure hunting.
* ClarkKenting: No makeup = no fanboys.
* FragileSpeedster: Thieves by class, the Fallen Angels are quick and quite tricky but can't take too many hits. Too many hits ''for master-level players'', that is, which is still a lot of hits.
* IdolSinger: In real life.
* LovableRogue: In the game.
%%* SiblingTeam

!!Julie (Jin-Ah)
* TheFace: For the Fallen Angels, slightly.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Her weapon uses:
** RazorFloss techniques to turn a
** BattleBoomerang into a
** PrecisionGuidedBoomerang.
*** She ''also'' uses PoisonedWeapons.

!!K.C. (Jin-Mee)
* CharacterDevelopment: In regards to her ExtremeDoormat entry.
* ExtremeDoormat: According to Slayan, anyway, in regards to making decisions without her sister. One way or another she has taken it to heart, and is going ahead with more of her own decisions.
* InvisibilityCloak: Or to be precise scarf, it is her master level item that allows the wearer to become completely invisible

!!Muria, a.k.a. "Medusa" (Munsuk)
A player working as a game moderator for Dexon. Has an old rivalry with Team Triple Threat. For...[[NoodleIncident some reason]].
------
* TheBeastmaster: As a player outside of her capacity in her job for Dexon.
* BerserkButton: Doesn't like the nickname "Medusa" that Team Triple Threat gave to her.
%%* {{GMPC}}
* NoodleIncident: Whenever Muria met Team Triple Threat, either she would get irritated by their presence or they would run away calling her "Medusa" fearing for their lives. [[spoiler:In the Demon King Arc she remembers that before she was a GMPC TTT randomly found and destroyed the stable she kept full of beloved monsters for the EXP. Said incident gave her a HeroicRROD until she decided to try and get revenge on them for it.]]
* PunchClockVillain: Her role in the Demon arc.
* {{Stripperific}}: Her demon outfit was supposed to make her look like a threatening badass but some male players [[FanService saw it differently]].

!!Olios
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/050_3905.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:250:[[SeanConneryIsAboutToShootYou Olios is about to shoot you.]]]]
->'''Demon King:''' (''of Olios'') "That one's a real pain in the...[[GotMeDoingIt whatchamacallit]]."

The party's semi-frequent sometimes-useful always-hilarious addition.

Introduced as a mysterious [[ColdSniper formidable sniper]] who played against Lotto in Force Recon, he [[WorthyOpponent impressed Lotto by nailing him with an improbable headshot and was impressed]] ''[[WorthyOpponent by]]'' [[WorthyOpponent Lotto]] [[XanatosSpeedChess when he won the game anyway]]. An acquaintance of Wun-Ha via the Net Cafe, he later encountered the protagonists in Lost Saga, where he's basically a sniper with a bow. He's since joined the loosely connected ranks of strong players, and sometimes forms a party with Aradon and Hata.
------
* AbnormalAmmo: His arrows are described as being not so much arrows as spears.
* AnnoyingArrows: This effect still arises when the boss is too NighInvulnerable.
* FriendlySniper: Strikes up conversation with even the most formidable opponents in a style which is practically OddFriendship.
* GroinAttack: Hell bent on testing it out on the Demon King, who was unwilling to play along.
* ImpossiblyCoolWeapon: By the real laws of physics, Ollie's bow is probably completely impossible. Fortunately it runs on [[RuleOfCool game mechanics]].
* {{Multishot}}: Known to load several arrows at once.
%%* PluckyComicRelief
* TheSquad: Filled the shooter role in Force Recon.
* UnusualEuphemism: Ollie: please stop yelling "Whatchamacallit!" whenever you [[GroinAttack try to shoot the Demon King in the crotch]]. It's [[BallsOfSteel not really]] his weakness anyway.

!!Basara
* {{BFS}}: His gigantic two-bladed sword is easily the largest sword in the game, and one might ask [[RuleOfCool how]] he can lift it even with those bodybuilder's muscles.
* BloodKnight: He's in the game just to kill the strong bosses.
* CurbstompBattle: Pretty much a walking one. Nobody has managed to stand up to him in a fair fight [[spoiler: without hacking]].
* CompanionCube: Some of his behaviour may seem like this to normal players [[spoiler:who can't see the spirit of his sword and thus assume he is talking to the sword itself]].
* {{Determinator}}: Appears to run on raw determination. Once he sets something as his goal he will keep pursuing it no matter the obstacles, odds or whether or not outcome of succeding is something a sane person would want. He will achieve his goal or die trying and it does not matter how little sense it makes to others.
* EmpathicWeapon: Reacts to whether he remains undefeated.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: Very little example with himself and [[spoiler:Faerlina]].
* [[NamedWeapons Named Weapon]]: Ego Sword which also doubles as a {{BFS}}
* NoSocialSkills: Making a conversation wth this guy is as engaging as talking with a computer controlled monster. On second thought, some of said monsters are definitely more talkative than him.
--> '''Demon King''': ''Obviously conversation with this guy is not happening''
* OneManArmy: Entire armies of players are generally required to face dragons. [[spoiler: Basara defeated the strongest dragon by himself.]]
* ProudWarriorRaceGuy: His entire way of virtual life is built around this.
* [[spoiler:{{Robosexual}}]]: [[spoiler:Before his defeat his raison d'etre was to fight strong oponents. After, the only thing that kept him playing the game was his desire to again meet and protect Faerlina - the {{Stripperific}} ArtificialIntelligence spirit of his sword.]]
* ThatManIsDead: After suffering defeat, Basara attempts to return things to the way they were before admitting that the character he embodied, "Basara," died with defeat, and begins referring to him in the third person.
-->"Basara is dead and he should stay that way..."
* WorldsStrongestMan: Widely acknowledged as the strongest player in Lost Saga. [[spoiler:Later proves that this is incorrect and that he is fact the strongest ''being'' in Lost Saga, by winning a one-on-one battle with the setting's FinalBoss.]]

* BerserkButton: Piri values politeness very highly! Especially in regards to her shop.
* [[spoiler:BrainUploading]]: [[spoiler:Not an NPC after all, Piri either an AI based on or the semi-aware expression of a woman in a coma.]]
%%* [[spoiler:BreakTheCutie]]
* DeconstructorFleet: Personally used to deconstruct NonPlayerCharacter tropes as they apply to a person, i.e. NPCAmnesia and the inability to leave her programmed location in the game.
* [[spoiler:DespairEventHorizon]]: After the change from Lost Saga to Lost Saga II.
* GenkiGirl: Permanently cheerful and willing to weaponize it.
* GrewBeyondTheirProgramming: She's considered to have a surprising amount of personality for an NPC, and sparked off ''Yureka'''s consideration of WhatMeasureIsANonHuman.
* [[spoiler:LivingMemory]]: [[spoiler:VirtualGhost variety.]]
* NonPlayerCharacter: The most standard example in the series -- besides the CityGuards.
* NPCAmnesia: Whenever the game resets, so does Piri's memory of all non day-to-day events and players she's met. Actually culminates into something quite tragic, causing her to [[HeroicSafeMode break down]] the second time it happens.
* MauveShirt: Partially an in-universe example, as Lotto energetically protect her (which is to say he bullies Rowe into doing it--though Rowe warms to the cause--with Alpha stepping in now and then) from her unfairly hazardous surroundings (thanks to the game's programming, she can't leave her shop, even if it's burning around her ears) during population-wiping events after being acquainted with her outstanding personality.
* PassiveAggressiveKombat: Proved to be a master in the flashback of her and Lotto's first meeting.
* [[spoiler:PromotedToPlayable]]: She appears in currently untranslated chapters after her [[spoiler:DespairEventHorizon in a capacity in which she appears to be acting as a player in the Lost Saga/Cyber Quest player tournament]].
* RedShirt: ''Designed'' to be one in any big Event. Players decide this is somewhat unfair.
* WeBuyAnything: Averted: her shop is for low-level loot and she doesn't have the resources to buy the odd InfinityPlusOneSword.

!!John Chaisor
A guardian AI used by Rapha. He is silent, strong and fiercely loyal to his mistress to the point of being completely willing to die for her (to Rapha own horror), thanks to their cooperation and Rapha protective attachment to him he reached 94 level (which is almost unheard of for AI guardians that cannot respawn after death) and when buffed by his mistress he is more that a match for all but the strongest of players and monsters. Aside from being her assassin class companion in the game John also serves as her electronic assistant in the real world.
------
%%* ArtificialIntelligence
* GrewBeyondTheirProgramming: Another example of an AI who functions outside of his programmed capacity
* KilledOffForReal: Rapha greatest fear that many times brought her to a brink of emotional breakdown. Luckily so far due to his skills and her buffs, sacrifices and occasional intimidation of others he survived everything they went through

!!Neogia/Ijoyen
An NPC first introduced during the Demon War where he served as one of the Four Devas of the Demon King. Later, he reappears with different name as a player who took the top position in the Dragon Lands. [[spoiler:It is revealed at some point that he, just like Yureka, is an advanced self-aware A.I. created by Jaeha.]]
------
* NonPlayerCharacter: Used as one in the Demon War event.
* PerfectPlayAI: The main reason why he was basically unbeatable during the Demon King arc and the Dragon Lands arc was that he could read a player's movement and counteract accordingly. Unfortunately, [[WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity El]][[CombatSadomasochist ca]] found a way around this.

* CurbStompBattle: What he delivers to any and all that dare to fight back (not that he would spare them if they surrendered).
* DeaderThanDead: What happens to anything that is killed by any of his attacks (save from spells reflected from him), not only resurrection doesn't workj but even the data of the killed characters and NPC is erased from servers.
* GreaterScopeVillain
* HopelessBossFight: All attacks, both physical and magical, directed at him either do not do any damage or worse are reflected back where they came from, in turn his attacks are unblocable and can inflict damage even on targets that are supposed to be immortal and this damage cannot be healed or regenerated in any way, also anything killed by him is out of the game for good without the possiblity of ressurrection or respawn.
* OneHitPolykill: His breath attacks can penetrate '''mountains'''
* TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt: Accomplishing this is apparently his goal for the world of Lost Saga
* TheJuggernaut: As unstopable as they come
* SealedEvilInACan: One that Lotto REALLY shouldn't open

General tropes associated with most characters from Dragonlands:
------
%%* BloodKnight
* EvenEvilHasStandards: They fall into a disreputable category, but have strong standards about their own conventions.
* PlayerKilling: (Self-) ostracized because they make it a lifestyle.
* ProudWarriorRaceGuy: The players from the Dragon Lands tend to be like this, which is odd since theirs is an in-game, adopted lifestyle, not a [[RealLife real]] culture: They're just really into it.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: A gaming convention turns the eyes of PKers red to distinguish their status.

!!Il-ban
A master-level anti-priest and the oldest player of Lost Saga.

* HairTriggerTemper: Riled up pretty easily.
%%* NoSocialSkills
* PintSizedPowerhouse: He looks like (and probably is) a kid in his early teens at most but despite that holds second rank among all the PKers of Dragon Land and in terms of mastery of magic is stronger than either Lotto or Aradon.

------
%%* ActionGirl somwhere betwen this and DarkActionGirl
%%* AmbiguouslyBrown
* BloodKnight: Her in-game persona
--> '''Lotto''': ''I don't kniow if she has a hot headed temperament or what... but she thinks only about fighting''
%%* CuteLittleFangs
* EnemyMine: This is her reason for making a team with Jijon Jang. He doesn't share her vievs (i.e. his terror of Jaeha far outweights any desire for revenge) but does not have enough courage to say "No" loud enough.
* {{Expy}}: A unique example - Phuan is apparently modelled after the character the author of the manhwa plays as in ''VideoGame/{{Mabinogi}}''
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: A mild example, Phuan comes out as more of a BloodKnight (in-game) and a delinquent bully (in reeal life) than an actual jerk but when analysed deeper she is a straightforward person that likes to fight but is not above helping others (going as far as to pay for part of Jijon Jang gaming expenses even though she barely knows him)
* [[SpiderSense Animal Instinct]]: Even unconcsious she sensed "a terrible chill" that allowed her to sent Boromir flying before he got his chance to do a mouth-to-mouth on her.
* SuperDrowningSkills: Unlike Lotto she isn't lucky ebough to know any way around that problem.
%%* {{Tomboy}}

------
* BadassBystander: Unlike most of the rest Dragon Land ihabitants he doesn't have a habit of picking fights with others and prefers to sit things out, this behaviour sometimes makes one forget that if dragged into conflict he can [[CurbStompBattle Curb Stomp]] any out of about 99.99% other players.
* BattleCouple: with Remy
* DeadpanSnarker: Act as one mostly towards Remy which often gets him into trouble.
* TheStoic: Aside from occasional threats from his wife, very little fazes him.

!!Remy
Ranked 7th among the Dragon Land PK-ers
------
* BattleCouple: With Kazbar
* BreastPlate: Without a doubt chosen purposefully to emphasise her assets
* BuxomBeautyStandard: Remy certainly believes so and that is why she enhanced her own virtual bust size and selected BreastPlate as her armor of choice.
* CuteBruiser: A cute [[OlderThanTheyLook young-looking]] woman who wields a two-handed battleaxe as if it was a [[OneHandedZweihander dagger]]
* CuteLittleFangs: Sports occasionally.
* EyesAlwaysShut: Though according to her husband they are just too small to be visible.
* MuggingTheMonster: When she returned to the mainland after spending months (or years) as one of the most powerful and infamous Dragon Land PK-ers a trio of [[TooDumbToLive small-time villains]] (that did not recognize her because they were several tiers lower on the [[JustForFun/SuperWeight Power Weitht scale]]) conned her into getting PK status so that they could kill her without consequences. Needless to say it was a really poor move on their part since they [[HalfTheManHeUsedToBe hardly even saw what hit them]] once she decided to drop the nice girl act [[CurbStompBattle and started rolling]].
* OlderThanTheyLook: Spent a lot of (her husband's) money to create character not only bustier but also younger than she is in real life
* OneHandedZweihander: How she usually wields her Two-Handed Battleaxe.

!!Sydus (Ji-Hoon)
[=PKer=] from the Dragon Lands ranked 8th from the top; has a unrequited crush on Phuan, with whom he formerly partnered. He is a skilled programmer and developed and spread his own hack called "Checker," which allows its users to detect hacks used by other players. (His own version of that program also includes some other special anti-hacker functions.) Has a deep dislike of those who use hacks to cheat in game.
------
* AscendedExtra: When he initially appeared he did not look like someone who will have any importance beyond current arc but then he started reappearung both in-game and in real world becoming more of a genuine supporting character
* BlackAndWhiteMorality: Heavily implied: he is a White Hat Hacker who hacks only for the benefit of players; Jang-Gun talks him into full support in a dangerous real life matter by saying that abandoning the project would be "against his beliefs," which Ji-Hoon ruefully concedes.
* ColdSniper / FriendlySniper
* CurbStompBattle: Notable in getting the ball rolling by being completely defeated when Slayan decided to work his way up through the Dragon Lands. A CurbStompBattle heralding a string of {{Curb Stomp Battle}}s, you could say.
* {{Foil}}: As a Net presence to TheCracker.

->'''Tablen''': "I barely believe 50% of what you say."

A Witch who act as an unofficial jury for ranking Dragon Lands Pkers
------
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: While surprisingly a lot of the inhabitatns of the land of murderers adheer to a code of honor of some sort or another Iruhan is in the game just for the money and will sell out and betray anyone and everyone if it will be to her benefit
* ConsummateLiar: Her well-earned reputation.
* FlyingBroomstick: Uses a MagicStaff as one.
%%* HotWitch: Certainly.
* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: Habitually got off scot-free leading the players of the Dragon Lands through quite a dance, but eventually ran out of luck with a nwe situation.
* LetsYouAndHimFight: Her m.o. in manipulating others is putting them in situations where they'll fight each other, as when she led Tablen into fighting Muria.
* [[ManipulativeBastard Manipulative Bitch]]: Has it turned up all the way all the time.
%%* OjouRinglets / RegalRinglets
* SayItWithHearts ♥: Always placed for maximum irony.
-->'''Remy''': [-"[[LampshadeHanging Can't you take the heart away?]]"-]
* XanatosGambit: The outcomes of the fights she arranges are often win-win for her, as are the triumphs or losses of the people she leaks information to.

!!Three Black Stars: Daia, Omega, Goshu
Three PK-ers from Dragon Lands, each of them by himself counts as a rank A bounty but since they are always acting as a team of three the can be counted as a rank S bounty worth a total of 18,000,000 gold.
------
* {{Butt Monkey}}s: They are actualy pretty strong and as a team could be ranked in the Top 20 of the Dragon Lands, unfortunately for them each time we see them they have a run-in with someone so out of their league that s/he doesn't even thinks of them as a worthwhile prey after mopping the floor with them..

!!Dunhil & Raison
Two PK'ers from Dragon Lands that sit on the beach waiting for any inexperienced newcomers to kill. While this appears to be a fairly succesful routine pretty much the only screentime they've got are the moments when they are trying their stunt on people they really shouldn't mess with (like Alpha, Yureka or Ah-Dol and Boromir) or just being handed the short end of the stick by a far more powerful PK-er (like Phuan) steamrolling over them.
------
* CurbStompBattle: They expected their fights with Yureka, Ah-Dol and Borimr, and earlier Aplpha to be short, while they were right about the lenght of the battle they were very wrong about who will be the one standing at the end.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Is it Raison or Reason?

[[folder:Real World]]
!!Yureka's Creator [[spoiler:(Jaeha)]]
Yureka's creator, from who the AI derives her appearance [[spoiler:and personality]]. After her first appearance in the early chapters, she [[TheGhost was a complete mystery for hundreds of chapters]], so [[WalkingSpoiler her every trait is a spoiler.]] [[spoiler:A hacking prodigy, Jaeha created both Yureka and Ijoyen with a BrainUploading method she developed, revolutionary technology which has turned all involved into targets]], making her personally responsible for ''Yureka'''s MythArc.
------
* AxCrazy: This never really was a part of her personality but she tried very hard to become this in order to earn Elca's approval. It did not end well.
* BecomingTheMask: Impersonating her unexpectedly prevalent AI has left her with some identity issues.
* BerserkButton: Calling her "Yureka" is a good way of pissing her off, calling her "Fake Yureka" is a good way of getting killed.
* BrokenBird: Her becoming a hacker, Hunter and a Killer in training was a result of her DarkAndTroubledPast
* ConfusionFu: Ban utterly dominated both Yureka and Ijoyen with his superior ability of predicting their moves by reading their minds (sort of, it was a little more comlicated than that) but the second Jaeha took over her movements became completely unreadable for him. Whether it was due to her superior knowledge of his ability (she was the one who originaly invented and programmed it) or the fact that [[InsanityImmunity her mind was too warped for him to comprehend]] was never explained.
* DarkActionGirl: when working in-game.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: When Jaeha was still a child her family was driven into bankruptcy by a man who profited from crushing those weaker than him. Her parents, seeing no way out committed suicide, in which they tried to include Jaeha.
* DespairEventHorizon: Was most likely balancing on its edge since the moment of her parents suicide but was ultimately pushed over it when in short succession she was rejected by the boy she loved because he liked her double more than anyone ever liked Jaeha, then was pushed by her bet with Elca to go over the MoralEventHorizon and finally faced the choice of either killing Lotto or giving up on becoming a Killer, her only goal in life. In the aftermath of this event Jaeha ended up half-comatose pretending even for herself that she is Yureka.
* FreudianTrio: With her two artificial offshoots. Jaeha is the ego, Ijoyen is the very clearheaded superego (remember that Jaeha's conscious goal for a while was to quash her emotions), and Yureka is the impulsively friendly id.
* FriendlessBackground: For a very long time the only person she was close with was Elca but they were both too broken to openly form a frienship (and almost ended up killing each other despite being aware of how important the other one is to them), then she met Lotto and ended up being fascinated with him only to be informed that he not only is not interested in her but also doesn't want to see her ever again [[note]]though in his defense it should be mentioned that he had no idea that the one he was taliking to was a real person desperately trying to connect with him and not a freshly created A.I. trying to take Yureka place without having any previous relationshipn with him whatsoever[[/note]]. When Elca lead Jang-Gun into Jaeha apartment she commented that he is probably the first guest ever to come there.
* FusionDance: With Yureka and Ijoyen. Fusion variety.
* HeroicSacrifice: Switched places with Lotto and [[TakingTheBullet took Elca's hand through her heart]] to save him.
* MoralEventHorizon: Attempted to cross one in order to prove herself to Elca but it destroyed her both emotionaly and mentally along with almost getting her killed.
* NakedFirstImpression: The first time Jang-Gun met her he walked into the room where she was taking her scan in the nude, surprisingly enough it was Jaeha who seemed amused by this while Jang-Gun was the one really embarassed.
* NoNameGiven
* NotGoodWithRejection: She was something of a StalkerWithACrush '''before''' she was rejected, afterwards things gotten much, much worse.
* RedemptionEqualsDeath: How she tried to make up for the killing spree she started.
* ReplacementGoldfish: Tried to become this to Lotto by pretending she is a rebooted version of Yureka (after she destroyed the original) but Lotto rejected her because he was only interested in Yureka and not her look-alike.
* SplitPersonality: Once Lotto connected with comatose Jaeha's consciousness he discovered that after going through DespairEventHorizon and passing MoralEventHorizon Jaeha started not just acting like Yureka but also actually beliving that she is Yureka and attempts at making her realise and admit who she really is are only making her withdraw even deeper to the point where she shuts herself off completely. To make things even more confusing supressing Yureka did not make Jaeha want to come out of her mental shell but instead revealed that there is a third personality - Ijoyen. At this point it is difficult to say whether the connection to the net caused both of the A.I. created by Jaeha from parts of her own personality to return their experiences to her and causing this dissorder artificialy or whether those are actual parts of Jaeha own personality [[note]]which were initially used as a base for creating Yureka and Ijoyen[[/note]] that manifest themselves while she is unable to cope with her own identity.
** It may be worth mentioning that Lotto pointed out that all thre of those personalites are importnant parts of a single whole, however even though Lotto started to come to terms with it and was ready to accept Jaeha with all of her personalities "Jaeha" herself is unwilling to accept his feelings if they are directed at both her and her "Yureka" persona at the same time and the feeling is mutual on "Yureka" part (no one seems to care about Ijoyen).
* StalkerWithACrush: Depending on how you interpret her actions she may be eiher a very tragic BrokenBird whom only hope of salvation from the darkness comes from unrequited love or a very creepy stalker [[note]]Lets's see, her interest in Lotto started with watching him play with Yureaka and it appears that Jaeha was recording their journeys so even if she was busy with something else she could enjoy watching every in-game moment later on, then she effectively killed Yureka, attemoted to take her place and finally when she realised that Lotto was interested only in Yureka and not her she intended to kill Lotto friends but spare him and give him Yureka program as a reward for his "inaction" in order to make him delete her himself out of the sense of guilt[[/note]]
* TeenGenius: As a first (and possibly the only so far) person in the world she invented a method to create True A.I. and she done it all by herself.
* WalkingSpoiler: We just haven't marked them all yet.

!!Elca (Seol Hee)
* AxCrazy: In her battle mode literaly crazy and to a frightening degree.
* AxCrazy: When she's using her Killer Tool. It [[TooKinkyToTorture eliminates]] the threat of pain, but completely saps her self control as a side effect.
** She uses her Killer Tool to change which area of the brain is affected by an injury and [[CombatSadomasochist feels pleasure instead]]. If you combine this with the fact that only pain can affect her actual body this makes her not only completely AxCrazy but also, to an extent, immortal.
* BreakTheCutie: Once Jaeha started to recover some of her cheerfulnes by watching Lotto Elca gave her several pushes that sent her friend down the slippery slope right into the jaws of DespairEventHorizon. (Granted, this was [[NiceJobBreakingItHero the last thing Elca wanted]] but the fact remains that once events were done with her Jaeha was in a coma, convinced that she became a mass murderer and was using her SplitPersonality to hide herself from everyone thinking that no one would accept her now).
* CombatSadomasochist: Her Killer Tool converts pain, meant to deter killers, into pleasure, so much so that it functions like a drug.
* DeathGlare: Once she becomes serious she often throws one around, also it seems that Lotto is very adept at earning this (and worse) by unintentionaly pushing her [[BerserkButton Berserk Buttons]].
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Elca put Jaeha to a [[MoralEventHorizon Cross the Moral Event Horizon]] test in order to make her realize that the job of a Killer really isn't for her, unfortunately while she guessed her friend emotional vulnerability right she misjudged her equally strong desperation to become one and as a result Jaeha became completely unhinged and went on a random killing spree only to realize the gravity of her deeds and choose HeroicSacrifice (sorta) option imediatly afterwards.
* NighInvulnerability: To kill someone for real in virtual reality you need to use hack that makes them feel pain and then inflict enough of it to make their body die from trauma. Whenever Elca suffers an injury in her battle mode she feels pleasure instead...
* ProfessionalKillers: She is one of the hackers known (to those few that are aware of their existance) as Killers and Hunters - Killers are people who perform their kills by attacking victims in virtual reality (and making real body die from hypnotic suggestion or enough pain induced trauma), Hunters are those who act as bodyguards and avengers against killers (and use the same methods to fight). Both basically do the same and so whether one is at any given point of time a Hunter or a Killer depends mostly on who is paying them and for what.
* TheTease: After she invited Jang-Gun to Jaeha house she stripped herself and taken a shower, though it's hard to tell whether she has done that in order to make Jang-Gun squirm or simply because she had not cared about the situation (In which case it could be counted more as [[NoSocialSkills her lacking in social skills]]).
