This is the Character Page for characters that appear on the ''[[VideoGame/YuGiOhTagForceSeries Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force]]'' series of games.

(Note: Only characters that are original to the games shall be put here. Characters from ''Anime/YuGiOhGX'' and ''Anime/YuGiOh5Ds'', from which the games are based off, can be found [[Characters/YuGiOhGX here]] and [[Characters/YuGiOh5Ds here]].)

[[folder:Player Character]]
----
* TheAce: It obviously depends on the player's skillset and luck in duels, but as far as the games' story is concerned, the PC is ''bar none'' the best duelist around. How else would he be able to deal with each series' respective {{Big Bad}}s with the protagonists?
* BackToBackBadasses: With whoever he partners with in the ''Tag Force'' games.
* BigEater: Yuma’s story in ''Tag Force Special'' reveals him to be one. Taken to ExtremeOmnivore levels in the first 3 ''Tag Force'' games where it is hinted that he is the only other person besides Jaden who likes ''[[LethalChef Banner's cooking]]''.
* CanonName: Downplayed. In ''Duel Links'', he's referred to as "The Vagabond".
* TheCasanova: He can partner up with practically ''anyone'' in the game, with some having faint romantic undertones.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: He once tried to put on a shirt while still wearing his hat.
* ContinuityCameo: A PaletteSwap version of him [[http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mahaan7erm1qkhymjo1_1280.jpg makes a brief appearance]] in one of the special episodes of the ''[[Anime/YuGiOhZexal ZEXAL]]'' anime, along with a few other ''Tag Force'' only characters.
* CoolDownHug: Gives one to [[spoiler:Haruto in Kaito’s storyline]] in ''Tag Force Special''.
* {{Expy}}: Of [[VideoGame/PokemonRed Red]]. He actually bears a striking resemblance to the older Red depicted in many fan arts.
* EyeObscuringHat: His eyes are always obscured by the brim of his hat. Whenever he is illustrated at an angle where we’d see under his hat, he is shown also to have bangs.
* FaceHeelTurn: In storylines where the partner is an antagonist or an evil version of certain characters, such as Aki from her Duel Academy days (where she's unhinged) or Dark Signer Misty. In case you're wondering, some characters [[WhatTheHellHero will call you out on this]].
* FeaturelessProtagonist: Downplayed. He has brown hair, but the upper half of his face is constantly obscured by the brim of his signature red hat.
* GenderBender: In ''Tag Force 3'', the player has a female counterpart that can be seen in Bastion Misawa's ending picture. None of the other games share this female protagonist, but she essentially looks exactly like her male counterpart, but with long hair that reaches her lower back.
* GogglesDoNothing: His redesign for ''Tag Force Special'' features goggles on his cap.
* HelloInsertNameHere: Because of a lack of canon name, the PC's name is of the player's choice.
* HeroicMime: Played with. Other characters indicate that he ''does'' speak; we just don’t see/hear it, or that the game doesn't show his speaking dialogues outside of the "Talk - Numbers" option when interacting with the characters, making him a variation of a SilentBob.
* LevelUpAtIntimacy5: Level-Up At 2nd Heart: He can start editing his current partner's Deck after completing this point.
* MakingASplash: Starts out with a Water deck in the first game and ''Tag Force 4''.
* MoralityPet: {{Downplayed}}. In storylines where the PC allies with the antagonists, their behavior is more or less the same. The only difference is that they treat the PC as a friend at best or view him with respect at worst.
* NotADate: This happens a lot, especially with Aki, with whom this has transpired multiple times. Happens with Ruka as well. Girls just like to go shopping with him apparently.
** In ''Tag Force Special'', Yuzu also asks him to go shopping with her but she words it in a way that makes it seem like she’s asking him out on a date. He misunderstands and she [[LuminescentBlush blushingly]] clarifies that, yes, she just wants him to go shopping with her.
* NotAMorningPerson: Some conversations in ''Tag Force 2'' imply that he's even worse than '''Jaden''' when it comes to waking up early in the morning.
* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: It's never seen in-game, but ''Tag Force 3'' (which is a sort of ContinuationFic for ''GX'' Season 4[[note]]Which was not only rushed but never dubbed in America[[/note]]) implies the PC [[spoiler:dueled Jaden during his stint as the Supreme King and '''won''']].
* RoboticReveal: In Primo's story line in ''Tag Force 5'', he's actually a duel robot from the future that Primo brought with him but lost his memories in the process.
* SeriesMascot: He has more or less become this to Yu-Gi-Oh video games as a whole. Outside of the ''Tag Force'' series, he is also the player character in ''Zexal World Duel Carnival'' and while he isn’t necessarily the player character in the ''World Championship'' series, his outfit can be [[AndYourRewardIsClothes unlocked]] with HundredPercentCompletion in ''Reverse of Arcadia'' and ''Over the Nexus''.
** Going further back, both ''[[VideoGame/YuGiOhTheSacredCards Sacred Cards]]'' and ''[[VideoGame/YuGiOhReshefOfDestruction Reshef of Destruction]]'' featured a silent, hat-wearing protagonist. However, in these games, his hat was blue instead of the iconic red (and you can see his face, albeit as a tiny 32-bit sprite).
** And comes to an end on ''VideoGame/YuGiOhDuelLinks'' where (given your avatars are the original anime characters) he appears as an absurdly powerful NPC that gives extra experience when you defeat him.
** The default profile icon in VideoGame/YuGiOhMasterDuel clearly resembles him, complete with the goggles from his redesign for ''Tag Force Special''.
* TheStoic: Comes with being a HeroicMime. Although he does apparently speak, he displays no personality otherwise and always follows his partners’ lead in the story, giving this impression. Interestingly, he is also a PerpetualSmiler.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: Sometimes the characters in stories give him this treatment. Of course he always proves them wrong.
* UndyingLoyalty: It doesn't matter who his partner is, they ''will'' stick with them to the bitter end. The most poignant example is the storyline with Jaden in ''Tag Force 3''. [[spoiler:By this point, Jaden is hated by pretty much almost the whole academy. The sole exception is the PC, who is implied to have stuck by Jaden and even dueled the hell out of him during his time as the Supreme King.]]

* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: In her introduction in ''Tag Force 4'', she was fairly plain-looking with pale hair and a straight cut for her bangs. 161!!Yasuhiko Tanaka ''(Simon)''
----
* CasanovaWannabe: In ''Tag Force 5'', Sherry notes that his ruse of being a ladies' man is a sham and he's actually quite a manipulative jerk.
* LetsGetDangerous: His deck in ''Tag Force 5'' is a Cy-Caliber deck which relies on a simple beatdown strategy using those monsters, but his spell and trap lineup are both efficient and as simple as a Gadget deck's lineup and thus can easily dismantle a player from either row.

!!Yuki Kato ''(Anca)''
----
* CripplingOverspecialization: Uses an anti-meta deck.
