Apart from the human world we are all familiar with, in ''Manga/TheWorldGodOnlyKnows'' there are two other planes of existence: The worlds of Heaven and Hell. Contrary to general assumptions, neither one is supposed to be either good or bad but rather the destination for souls that are in need of cleansing from their past lives and then reincarnation.

In the present, the New Devils are largely concerned with capturing the renegade members of their race known as the Weiss. The gods, on the other hand, have made less appearances and are confined to six known goddesses.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nora_floriann_leoria.png]]
->Voiced by: Creator/MegumiToyoguchi (JP), Creator/MaggieFlecknoe (EN)

A powerful senior demon who does not get along very well with Elsea and Haqua. Rather than letting her human partner do most of the work, like Elsea and Keima, she prefers to take matters into her own hands, sometimes with lethal means. Her results are impressive, though she often makes mistakes due to her impulsive nature. Her second appearance has her promoted to District Chief of Area 30-2, in essence becoming Elsea's boss. Her human partner is Ryou.
----
* AloofAlly: During the Goddesses arc, Nora acts like she's only helping Keima out of self-interest and she claims that she's going to side with the group more likely to win, but still stays more consistently in the good guy camp.
* AntiHero: Despite her questionable methods she seems to have good intentions. She has little regards for the rules and is perfectly okay with killing or cheating in order to do what she thinks is the right thing.
* ArcVillain: Nora is the antagonist of Tenri's introduction arc where she targets Keima.
* ArentYouGoingToRavishMe: At first, she's understandably creeped out when Keima says he wants to grope her and begins chasing her, but then she gets legitimately pissed when she finds out it was just an act to bait [[spoiler:the spy Fiore.]]
* BlueBlood: Her horns signify that she is descended from an important family and are a mark of great prestige. This is something she is ''very'' [[TheProudElite proud of]].
* BuxomBeautyStandard: She has an impressive bust that tends to generate jealousy from [[ACupAngst Haqua]].
* CuteMonsterGirl: Because of her horn, she has more monstrous features than other demon girls, but she's one of the most attractive ones, especially thanks to her large bosom.
* FantasticRacism: She only refrains from killing humans when it would be particularly convenient if a devil would also be caught up in it.
* HornedHumanoid: She has one horn on the right side of her head.
* IHaveBoobsYouMustObey: Her human partner Ryou only follows her and does whatever she says because she has large breasts.
* IWasJustPassingThrough: [[spoiler:When helping in the fight against Vintage, she still tells the heroes she just can't stand to let Vintage do as they please in her district, so they better don't take it as her being their ally.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: In general, Nora is selfish and whimsical, but she does mean well when she keeps her temper and arrogance in check.
* KnightTemplar: She's willing to kill or break the rules to get Runaway Spirits out. Compounding the issue is the fact that she's fairly reckless and impulsive.
* LovableAlphaBitch: As bitchy and superior as she can be, she's also shown herself to be more thoughtful than she lets on, and has occasionally gone out of her way to help others despite her self-serving facade. [[spoiler:And she indirectly saves Keima's life by sending Ryou to activate the goddess sensor's roll-call feature when she figures that Vintage will be looking into the disappearance of one of their agents]].
* MindProbe: Her senior demon powers let her delve into people's hearts. It backfired hard when she used it on Keima.
* MurderIsTheBestSolution: If her target's been hurt by someone, she'll give them revenge up to and including killing the one who hurt them.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: [[spoiler:Plays dumb while pretending to abandon Haqua and Kanon out of self-interest, but uses it as an opportunity to confirm whether or not Fiore is actually TheMole for Vintage]].
* PetTheDog: Although her regard for ''human'' life is low, she's very hesitant to do anything that could lead to a fellow New Hell Devil dying. [[spoiler:Twice now, when it is pointed out her actions may result in Elsie's death, she reconsiders her actions. Unless she's angry]].
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Ten years older than Elsie and Haqua, who are about three hundred years old.
* SignificantWhiteHairDarkSkin: Her white hair and dark skin mark her as a demon from a prestigious lineage, as well as a senior to Elsie and Haqua.
* WallOfWeapons: Had a whole pile laid out on the ground when she wanted to kill Keima.
* WhatTheHellHero: [[spoiler:Goes and tells Shalya that she knows ''exactly'' how Shalya betrayed Haqua and the suffering Haqua is going to go through because of her. Nora being Nora, she rubs it in quite a bit]].
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: She's a white-haired AntiHero with questionable methods.
* WildCard: She claims to be playing both sides at once due to being unsure for how things will work out. Either way she can count herself a winner. [[spoiler:She claims to join Vintage and mocks Haqua about it, only to get Keima out of a dire situation regarding Vintage.]] In the end, however, she stays as an AloofAlly in Keima's side.

[[quoteright:284:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/01_Sharia_1148.jpg]]

A friend of Haqua, she was the former District Chief of Area 30-2 and Elsie's former superior. She was reassigned to be the District Chief of Area 30-4.
----
* AdaptedOut: She doesn't appear in the third anime season.
* AlternateCharacterReading / MeaningfulName: Her first name in kanji could alternately be read as "Sharia" which could mean "way" or "path" in Arabic; it usually refers to religious law.
* GenderBlenderName / NamedAfterSomebodyFamous / ReligiousAndMythologicalThemeNaming: Her name comes from traditionally male figures from different religions.
** Her first name is probably from [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shalya King Shalya]] from the Literature/{{Mahabharata}}.
** Her middle name is probably from [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freyr Freyr]], which is alternately spelled as Frey, from Myth/NorseMythology.
** Her last name is probably from [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_demons_in_the_Ars_Goetia#Marquis_Amon Marquis Amon]] from the Literature/ArsGoetia.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: She's about three hundred years old, like Elsie and Haqua.
* TheStoolPigeon: [[spoiler:Of the Betrayer Belinda variety. She tells the public safety department that Haqua has been leaving her post a lot lately so that Vintage can have an excuse to replace Haqua with one of their agents as opposed to herself. The information she was selling appears to have been more valuable than she expected, however, leading Haqua to not only be stripped of her position but also to be arrested for treason. It is later reveled that she was working with Rimyuel on Chief Dorkuro's plan to expose and stop Vintage, Satyr and other anti-Hell members.]]

----
* AdaptedOut: Their brief appearance in the Goddesses arc got removed from the anime and their role was given to Ryou.
* BlueBlood: As indicated by their horns.
* HornedHumanoid: They both have two horns.
* MeaningfulName: Cresta's name means "crest" in Spanish while Camry is the phonetic of "kanmuri" which means "crown" in Japanese.
* ThoseTwoGirls: They always appear together as Nora's lackeys. They get offended when it turns out that nobody in the main cast actually knows their names.
* VehicularThemeNaming: They share their names with two models of Toyota cars. Cresta is also a name for a Vauxhall car model.

She is the Hell counter-measures branch Chief who sent Keima the contract email. She was a hero during the Almagemachina, the war that sealed the Old Devils 300 years before the start of the series.
----
* BigGood: She was one of the greatest heroes of the war that created New Hell and she is in charge of the Runaway Spirit Squad. [[spoiler:The current plan to save the world was of her own making, and her AlternateSelf was created to end the conflict with Old Hell entirely]].
* DaChief: The chief of the Runaway Spirit Squad.
* DemBones: Her body was left as a living skeleton after the Almagimachina.
* DoubleAgent: [[spoiler:She is obligated to work with Vintage, but helps Haqua escape and tells her neither good nor evil will win the coming war. They need strength]].
* FanDisservice: Keima and [[spoiler:Dokuro's other self]] accidentally contact her when she is naked and in the middle of changing. She acts embarrassed, but since she's a miniature skeleton, there isn't much to look at.
* HauntedTechnology: She is basically a demon ghost controlling a robotic body.
* InconvenientSummons: Keima and [[spoiler:Dokuro's other self]] happen to contact her when she is in the middle of changing clothes.
* IWasQuiteALooker: {{Subverted|Trope}}. She claims to have had a "young and dashing" body in the past, but her flashback still shows her as a skeleton, just with normal proportions instead of her current miniature form.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:This incarnation of her is assassinated by New Hell's corrupt police force on the orders of Satyr, though a human {{Reincarnation}} continues to live]].
* TheManBehindTheMan: [[spoiler:Allegedly was the leader of Vintage. Haqua doesn't believe it]].
* MiniatureSeniorCitizens: She's one of the oldest demons alive, but her current body is an artificial skeleton that's no more than a couple of feet tall.
* PunchClockVillain: [[spoiler:Works for Vintage more for political reasons than out of any actual loyalty to their cause]].
* RepetitiveName: Both her first and last names are "Skull", except one is spelled in Japanese and the other in English.
* TheScapegoat: [[spoiler:Touted by the Directors as the leader of Vintage, she was removed from her position and apparently executed]].
* WildCard: She appears to feel that ''something'' needs to be done to help New Hell, but doesn't entirely approve of what Vintage is doing. [[spoiler:Thus, in the space of just a few short chapters, she first strips Haqua of command and brands her a criminal, then lets her escape. If Haqua can find a better solution to the problems New Hell is facing, well, so much the better.]]

The rulers of New Hell.
----
* AncientConspiracy: [[spoiler:At least four of them are part of Satyr, a secret society made of select few Devils from distinguished families that have been around since Old Hell.]]
* BigBadDuumvirate: [[spoiler:At least four of them are the puppet masters behind much of the plot. They plan to capture the Jupiter Sisters under the guise of "protection" and [[CapturedSuperEntity use them as a weapon of war]]]].
* CorruptPolitician: [[spoiler:At least four of them are part of Satyr, they have enormous political power and unwavering love for Old Hell]]
* TheFaceless: Each of them is represented by a screen with a different symbol on it.
* HiddenVillain: They are revealed late into the manga.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: [[spoiler:Satyr was planning to resurrect a LostSuperweapon to wage a terrible war upon the three realms. But said superweapon, Elsie, had already been co-opted by Dokuro. As a result, Elsie uses DivineIntervention to prevent Lune from causing a TimeCrash, allowing Dokuro's plan to pull through and sabotage their own plans]].
* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler:At the end of the Manga, Satyr's plans are foiled, but they are able to use one of their own as TheScapegoat, enabling the rest of them to get away scot free.]]
* TheManBehindTheMan: [[spoiler:Some of the directors are the ''actual'' leaders of Vintage.]]
* NoNameGiven: There's a total of ten directors yet we only know the names of four of them; these being Gare of North America, Gorogoro of Central Africa, Roudret of Europe and Anoa of Antarctica.
* TheOmniscientCouncilOfVagueness: They're always portrayed as nothing more then tablets and we know nothing even remotely about them other than the fact that [[spoiler:at least four of them are part of Satyr and are trying to resurrect old Hell.]]
* PowersThatBe: They are the mysterious rulers of New Hell.
* RunningBothSides: [[spoiler:[[UnwittingPawn They run the Runaway Spirit Squad and at least four of them run Vintage as well]]. 145[[folder:Fiore Loderia Lavigneri]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fiore_loderia_lavigneri.png]]

A traitorous New Devil who resents the changes to Devil society and wishes to bring back Old Hell. Works for an organization called Vintage. A former classmate of Elsea and Haqua's.
----
* AdaptedOut: In the third anime season, her role of [[spoiler:stabbing Kanon/Apollo]] is covered by Lune in episode one, and her [[spoiler:attack on Keima's house, with Fiore ending up imprisoned in a lost spirit bottle]], was skipped over as of episode four. In the end, all of her ''Goddess'' arc appearances were cut from the adaptation.
* AlwaysSecondBest: Back in the demon academy, Fiore always ranked second to Haqua. She has always held a grudge over that.
* BigBadWannabe: Fiore accelerates the development of Hinoki's Runaway Spirit, tries to kill a goddess [[spoiler:by stabbing Apollo]], and captures both Haqua and Nora so she can take control of their districts by using magic body doubles. However, Keima is able to easily outsmart her and traps her inside a bottle twice, leaving her as a powerless and pathetic excuse of a villain.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Fiore pretends to be a good and polite girl around Haqua and Nora, so much so that Haqua doesn't want to believe Fiore is a member of Vintage after Keima manages to capture her. Once she tricks Haqua into freeing her, Fiore reveals her evil and petty nature.
* BlackCloak: When acting as a member of Vintage, Fiore wears a black cloak that makes her look mysterious and menacing.
* BlueBlood: The horn on her head shows that she's from a noble family.
* BookSmart: Fiore got some of the highest grades in devil magic school.
* BreakThemByTalking: Fiore verbally abuses Hinoki in Kusunoki's form in order to utterly break Hinoki by making her think her younger sister hates her, resulting in Hinoki's Runaway Spirit almost completely possessing her.
* CardCarryingVillain: When asked for an explanation of her motives they boil down to 'I'm a demon. Demons are supposed to do bad things, not this crap.'
* CuteClumsyGirl: Keima labels her as a "clumsy {{moe}} character" because she's so incompetent and careless.
* DrivenByEnvy: Haqua beat her for first place in their school in spite of coming from a lower class family. Wiping the smile off of her face is one of Fiore's major motivations.
* EngineeredPublicConfession: [[spoiler:Keima gets Fiore to blab about Vintage's plans to trap the goddesses... in front of a Vulcanus-possessed Luna. Needless to say, Vulcanus is ''not'' happy]].
* EvilIsPetty: [[spoiler:After overpowering Nora and Haqua, replacing them with hagoromo-made doppelgangers, she immediately starts gloating and re-names the doubles "[[BuxomBeautyStandard Just-Tits]]" and "[[{{Bookworm}} Pencil]]", respectively]].
* FourEyesZeroSoul: She's a bespectacled CardCarryingVillain.
* HornedHumanoid: She has one horn on the right side of her head.
* IJustWantToBeBadass: Part of the reason why she wants to [[spoiler:kill a goddess]] is so she can be accepted by the higher-ups of her group.
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: Even though she's responsible for [[spoiler:Hinoki's and Kanon/Apollo]]'s plights, Fiore is simply not that much of a threat when going directly against [[GuileHero Keima]], who can ruin her schemes with so much ease that he doesn't take her seriously as a villain at all. After being captured, she spends her time whining about how she wants something to eat.
* KnightOfCerebus: She's responsible for the giant, nasty incident involving Hinoki and most of the other problems that start going wrong from the Yui arc onwards.
* TheMole: She is part of Vintage and uses her position as a member of the Runaway Spirit Squad to do their biding on Earth.
* TheNicknamer: After revealing her real petty personality, he calls Nora "Just Tits" and Haqua "Pencil".
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: She's around three hundred years old, but looks like a teenage girl, much like Haqua and Elsie.
* ScaryShinyGlasses: Her glasses stood out from her hood when she was spying on Kanon.
* ShamefulStrip: After being defeated [[spoiler:by Vulcanus]], Fiore is trapped inside a bottle once more, but now fully naked just to make it even more humiliating for her.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: {{Subverted|Trope}}. She wears glasses and is said to have been a top student. However, she isn't that smart when compared to Keima and he makes her look like a fool time and time again.
* VillainDecay: During her early appearances, she was rather effective as a threat. Later on, she's just the [[ButtMonkey butt of a lot of jokes]] and Keima doesn't take her seriously.

An executive of Vintage who oversees all agents in the area. Her primary task is to hunt down the Goddesses who hid themselves within certain human females.
----
* BadassLongcoat: She wears a white coat over her school uniform.
* BlueBlood: She has tiny horns and is most likely nobility like Nora and Fiore.
* BrainsAndBondage: Despite her masochist tendencies, she's intelligent; [[spoiler:shown by her plan, which she derived from information on Haqua's hagoromo, to capture all Keima's conquered girls. Luckily Tenri/Diana is listed as Nora's capture]].
* CapeSnag: [[spoiler:Attempts this on Haqua's new cape, forcing her to discard it]].
* CombatSadomasochist: Between her frenzied stabbing, gasps of pleasure at getting cut, and [[LaughingMad insane laughter]], this becomes extremely evident during [[spoiler:her battle with Haqua]].
* CompositeCharacter: In the anime, she replaces Fiore [[spoiler:as Kanon/Apollo's assassin]].
* DarkActionGirl: She's quite brutal and ruthless, as seen during [[spoiler:her battle with Haqua]].
* GreenAndMean: She's an evil demon with green hair.
* HardHead: She received no less than eight blows to the back of her head with a metal pole. The fact that she went on to have a very nasty fight with Dokurou right after that makes her resilience stand out even more.
* TheHeavy: While all of Vintage is evil, Lune takes the most active role in becoming a direct threat to Keima and his capture targets [[spoiler:as she figures out the goddesses hosts are among Keima's capture targets and sets out to kidnap them all]].
* HimeCut: Her hairstyle and horns imply she's from a noble family like Nora and Fiore.
* HornedHumanoid: She has two short horns on the sides of her head.
* ImpaledPalm: She uses her cutter knife to stab her own hand repeatedly, for no reason other than her being a kinky psycho.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Via the top spike of the orb switch table inside the Akanemaru, right after Dokurou disabled the room's magic barrier. [[spoiler:She's still breathing though.]]
* {{Joshikousei}}: While a demon, she looks like a schoolgirl wearing a SailorFuku.
* LaughingMad: She does while either inflicting or receiving pain.
* LuminescentBlush: When she stabs herself, she blushes heavily, indicating that [[TooKinkyToTorture she's enjoying it]].
* MoodSwinger: She switches between a {{stoic}} to LaughingMad and back again pretty much instantaneously.
* MurderIsTheBestSolution: While watching over [[spoiler:the captured girls,]] she muses the easiest way to end the Goddess threat would be to kill all of Keima's captures.
* PsychoKnifeNut: Her weapon is a cutter knife and she sure looks deranged when she uses it to stab herself or other people.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: The anime portrays her with red eyes to warn the viewers that she's the main villain of the season.
* SelfHarm: Like all New Devils, she is forbidden from killing humans and instead harms herself to divert her frustration at not killing.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Her name can be "Lune" or "Rune" since there's no difference between the L and R in Japanese.
* StellarName: Lune's name means "moon" in French.
* SweetTooth: She's often seen snacking on something sweet.
* VilerNewVillain: Lune is a much more menacing and vile villain than Fiore, who becomes utterly incompetent after getting defeated and hit with VillainDecay.
* WhyDontYouJustShootHim: Lune has no idea why they should take potential threats like [[spoiler:the goddesses]] captive instead of just killing them.
* YouWillBeSpared: [[spoiler:Comes close to defeating Haqua, but chooses not to finish the battle due to other concerns and the fact that she considers Haqua a WorthyOpponent]].

She reappears in the third memory fragment of the ''Heart of Jupiter'' arc as the Vintage member tasked to force Runaway Spirits into the female students of Maijima East Elementary School.
----
* BlueBlood: As indicated by her horns, she belongs to a high-ranking demon family.
* EliteMook: Despite her small role; she is a named Vintage member with a unique character design, which at least puts her above the many FacelessGoons of Vintage.
* HornedHumanoid: She has two short pointy horns.
* MeaningfulName: Her name means "tour" or "circuit" in Spanish.
* ThirdEye: Unlike most devils we have seen so far, she has three eyes.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: An evil New Devil with white hair.

!!The Jupiter Sisters

[[folder:Jupiter Sisters as a group]]
Centuries ago, the Jupiter Sisters, goddesses from Heaven, managed to seal away the Runaway Spirits by making a collective HeroicSacrifice, trapping themselves alongside their prisoners. When the spirits finally managed to escape, the sisters were released as well. They ended up in the spirits' human hosts, resting dormant until they could regain their strength. Unlike the spirits, however, the goddesses draw strength from love and affection.

----
* {{Barrier Maiden}}s: They were this when they made their HeroicSacrifice to seal away the Weiss 300 years before the story. That is until the Great Runaway Spirit Escape 10 years before the story.
* ChekhovsGunman: Five of the goddesses are inside Keima's previous capture targets.
* EyeColourChange: Whenever a goddess is in control of her host's body, the host's eye color changes to golden red.
* FamousAncestor: Jupiter, king of the [[Myth/ClassicalMythology Roman gods]], from whom the sisters take their collective name.
* GenderBlenderName: 4 of the 6 goddesses are named after male gods from the Roman pantheon.
* LevelUpAtIntimacy5: The more affection the hosts have, the more power the goddesses can unleash. Their rough progression: TheMirrorShowsYourTrueSelf -> WillingChanneler -> HolyHalo -> PowerGivesYouWings.
* MarkOfTheSupernatural: A goddess' possession tends to cause her host to gain unusual features, such as a change in hair color and/or the addition of FacialMarkings.
* TheMirrorShowsYourTrueSelf: Once they've regained enough strength, the goddesses can appear in their hosts' reflections and shadows.
* OurGodsAreDifferent: What the sisters were capable of at full power is unclear, but they weren't omnipotent. As they regain their strength, they become able to switch places with their hosts, manifesting SuperStrength and SuperSpeed, and have a measure of resistance to spells.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: Much of the Jupiter Sisters' power is derived from the bond they share. If they lose even one of their number, they must all be replaced with a new set of Jupiter Sisters immediately.
* ThePowerOfLove: Weiss feed on misery while goddesses grow with love.
* ReligiousAndMythologicalThemeNaming: [[NamedAfterSomebodyFamous Each named for one of their relatives]] in the [[Myth/ClassicalMythology Roman pantheon]].
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: [[spoiler:When they send Keima's mind back to when he was a child ten years in the past, they acknowledge they are screwing with time and the laws of Cause and Effect, but it is a necessary action for Keima to save them all]].
* SealedInsideAPersonShapedCan: The sisters were originally sealed alongside the Weiss, but due to something breaking the seal most of them unconsciously gravitated towards a young girl. Not intentional, but the same end result.
* SharingABody: The goddesses share a body with their hosts and either person can grab control at any time. However, seeing as the goddesses are decent people and are hitchhiking, they rarely do so when it's not important.
* ShipperWithAnAgenda: Each goddess supports Keima's relationship with her respective host, mainly because they need their host's love for him to stay strong in order to recover their powers. However, they are not happy about the fact he is technically six timing their hosts.
* SiblingTriangle: Of sorts. Because the goddesses' power comes from love, all six of them have a vested interest in making sure Keima remains true to ''their'' host. And that's not counting the feelings of the goddesses themselves.
* SplitPersonalityMakeover: When the goddesses are in control of their hosts' bodies, their hair or other features change to indicate it.
* SuperPoweredAlterEgo: When the goddesses control their hosts' bodies, they can use their godly powers to protect themselves and their hosts.
* SymbioticPossession: All the goddesses are shown to get along with their hosts pretty well. The hosts are at best good friends with them and at worst bemused but generally accepting of the Goddesses.

After a certain incident with Keima 10 years ago, Tenri became possessed by Diana, the first Jupiter Sister seen in the series. Compared to Tenri, Diana is assertive and strong-willed, and is able to temporarily take full control of Tenri's body at times.

She is the third oldest of the Jupiter Sisters.
----
* ClingyJealousGirl: She tends to get very aggressive when Keima pursues or shows interest in anyone not named Tenri.
* CoolBigSis: Diana acts as a supportive older sister figure for Tenri.
* GoodIsNotNice: Diana can be rather cold and inconsiderate some of the time, but she's still a goddess who represents a force of good.
* InconvenientAttraction: Diana eventually realizes she has fallen in love with Keima, something that she finds horrible since she's supposed to be encouraging Tenri's love for him and she doesn't want to be in love with a "scum" like Keima.
* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: Beneath Diana's not-inconsiderable ego, she believes she's caused trouble for Tenri, herself, and her sisters.
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: [[spoiler:Diana finally admits she loves Keima, but she would rather have him love Tenri more and feels guilty about even being in love with Keima to begin with.]]
* LightningBruiser: She's supposed to be the strategist of the group, but is able to grant Tenri superstrength and superspeed.
* MatchmakerCrush: She tries to push Tenri towards Keima, but due to Tenri's extreme shyness, Diana ends up interacting with Keima so much that she falls in love with him herself.
* MirrorCharacter: Like Haqua, Diana is a {{Tsundere}} ClingyJealousGirl who frequently beats Keima because of his SelectiveObliviousness towards her feelings for him. In many scenes, Diana's actions and expressions around Keima perfectly synchronize with Haqua's.
* MundaneObjectAmazement: Diana is really impressed with Tenri's magic tricks even though she herself used to split the sea and control the weather.
* PsychosomaticSuperpowerOutage: Diana comes to the conclusion that the reason her wings haven't appeared yet, even though they should have grown by that point, is that her guilt over having developed a MatchmakerCrush on Keima is getting in the way. Tenri somehow manages to bring out Diana's wings later.
* SacredFirstKiss: She isn't happy about the fact that Keima took her first kiss when he kissed Tenri.
-->'''Diana:''' A kiss is something... that is done only with the person you spend the rest of your life with. I'll make you take responsibility for it!
* TheSmartGirl: She was the tactician of the six sisters, though not necessarily the most intelligent.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: At first, she acts cool-headed and aloof, but very caring towards Tenri. After she starts developing feelings for Keima on her own, she starts to act more like a {{Tsundere}}.
* SuperSpeed: Even when Tenri was a little girl and Diana didn't have much power, she was capable of lifting Keima and sprinting so quickly that she got away from all the Runaway Spirits under the town in moments.
* SuperStrength: She can block Nora's full force giant mace attacks, though not easily. Presumably she'd be able to do better than this now that more of her power has been restored.
* {{Tsundere}}: Diana vehemently denies to have any interest in Keima herself and claims she's only trying to get close to him to help Tenri get the man she loves. Still, Diana is a little too prone to blushing around Keima and frets over Keima taking her SacredFirstKiss when he kissed Tenri.
* TsurimeEyes: Her harsh and sharp eyes contrast Tenri's gentler TaremeEyes.
* YouNeverDidThatForMe: Diana's complaint to Keima asking if he exchanged some S-P-E-C-I-A-L kind of love with [[spoiler:Vulcanus and]] Tsukiyo.
-->'''Diana:''' [[MadnessMantra Didn't do it for Tenri. Didn't do it for Tenri. Didn't do it for Tenri. Didn't do it for Tenri..]].

A somewhat ditzy goddess who refers to herself as a muse, she is also the healer of the sisters. Apart from this, she also appears to be effective in warding off disasters for a time.

She is the second oldest of the Jupiter Sisters.
----
* AntiquatedLinguistics: Speaks in ancient Japanese.
* ChekhovsGun: Keima looks back and remembers [[spoiler:Kanon]] trying to contact him during tests. However, there's actually an even earlier hint that she still has her memories: The omake chapters of her host.
* CheshireCatGrin: Sported one of these during the TeamShot in FLAG 265.
* TheDitz: Apollo cheerfully owns up to being an idiot. Muses aren't supposed to be good at thinking, apparently.
* FacialMarkings: She has arrow-like markings under her eyes, a mark in the middle of her forehead, and eyeliner.
* MagicMusic: When she sang, she could change the landscape. [[spoiler:Kanon is horrified at this and clearly never, ever wishes to sing with her.]]
* TheMedic: Apollo's an expert in the healing arts, according to Diana and Vulcanus. [[spoiler:Which is a bit of a problem when ''she's'' the one in a coma]].
* MovingTheGoalposts: Possibly justified depending on how you look at it. [[spoiler:She was stabbed by Fiore and cursed. They judge the curse will take about a week to kill her unless they can remove the knife (apparently just having a dagger in your intestines for a week is okay) and get to work. When they finally do, it turns out that she's still not going to wake up because she changed the form of her body to make the curse take longer to affect her. So she's still in a coma and Keima has to go look for Mercurius now as well because she knows lots of weird spells and might be able to remove it. Eventually subverted in that Apollo is aware of what's going on, but is choosing not to wake up so she can continue to stave off a disaster she sees coming in the future. This means that finding Mercurius is actually unnecessary to helping her]].
* WifeHusbandry: [[spoiler:Vulcanus warns the other goddesses that Keima's past and present mind have been swapped, and they must be careful with the younger Keima lest they accidentally affect the present Keima, preferably keeping him asleep. Apollo however takes this as a suggestion and tries to imprint the young Keima's mind on Kanon]].

The first goddess uncovered by Keima, Vulcanus is nearly blind, deaf and immobile. However, she possesses the ability to bring objects to life and control them, more than making up for this.

She is the eldest Jupiter Sister.
----
* ACupAngst: Vulcanus is clearly upset by [[spoiler:Tsukiyo]] being the most flat-chested of the hosts, as she reproaches Mars for using [[spoiler:Yui]]'s larger breast size to persuade Keima that she's a superior potential lover.
* BerserkButton: Vulcanus will not tolerate ''any'' threats to [[spoiler:Tsukiyo]]'s purity.
* CallBack: Vulcanus insists that Keima carry her around, similar to the time he had to carry [[spoiler:Tsukiyo]] around during her capture arc.
* CurbStompBattle: [[spoiler:Vulcanus delivers one to Fiore by destroying her dolls and converting the material for her own use]].
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: While in possession of [[spoiler:Tsukiyo]], she turns her host's eyes and hair rose pink.
* DeclarationOfProtection: She has sworn to protect her host.
* DisabilitySuperpower: She may be blind, deaf, and immobile, but her powers more then make up for it by using [[spoiler:Luna]] as her eyes and ears... and ''[[KitchenSinkIncluded everything else]]'' as her fists.
* DisabledDeity: She's a goddess, but almost completely blind, deaf and unable to walk.
* EyesAlwaysShut: Because of her poor eyesight, she rarely opens her eyes when in control of [[spoiler:Tsukiyo]]'s body.
* FieryRedhead: While the redheaded Vulcanus possesses an aura of a noblewoman, she can be very fiery when she is protecting her host or finds Keima being unfaithful.
* {{Foil}}: Vulcanus is expressive about her feelings whilst [[spoiler:Tsukiyo]] remains stoic. Both still retain an aura of a noblewoman.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: [[spoiler:If you look at the image of Tsukiyo, you can see Luna already standing up and holding onto the sofa. The omake pages for the two are even less subtle]].
* HandicappedBadass: According to Vulcanus, she has bad hearing and eyesight, and can't walk (similar to her namesake). Her power over objects ''more'' than compensates for this, though.
* IfYouEverDoAnythingToHurtHer: Vulcanus has made it clear to Keima that she will never forgive him if he ever hurts [[spoiler:Tsukiyo]].
* KnightTemplarBigSister: Vulcanus acts like an older sister figure to her host [[spoiler:Tsukiyo]], and is fiercely protective of her. She goes as far as trying to drive Keima away from her host until the latter decides to trust Keima again.
* MindOverMatter: Vulcanus' main power is making objects move and float in the air.
* OneeSama: Being the eldest of the Jupiter Sisters, Vulcanus is highly respected and admired by her younger sisters.
* PerversePuppet: Vulcanus is able to possess [[spoiler:Tsukiyo]]'s doll and make it move on its own. She mainly uses it to attack Keima when he's being unfaithful.
* RemoteBody: Vulcanus can possess her host's body, but is still unble to move with it. Instead, she uses a doll as a substitute body.
* ScrewDestiny: She and her host [[LampshadeHanging call Keima out]] on his BecauseDestinySaysSo pickup line.
* {{Scrub}}: InUniverse: when Mars shows off her host's breasts. "Don't fight with weapons [[spoiler:Tsukiyo]] doesn't have!"
* SquishyWizard: She has excellent telekinetic powers, but not only is she physically weak, she's actually crippled and nearly deaf and blind.
* WhatDoesSheSeeInHim: Vulcanus doesn't understand how such a pure and beautiful girl like her host could have fallen in love with someone like Keima.

The next goddess found after Vulcan, Mars appears to be the most physically powerful, as befits her name. Mars seems serious and businesslike to the point where she seems completely inexperienced when it comes to love and romance. However, she agrees to help her host capture the target of her affections in return for assistance in finding her sisters.

She is the third youngest of the Jupiter Sisters.
----
* ActionGirl: Comes with her position as the Goddess of Battle. [[spoiler:She's the only one who put up a notable fight against Vintage, though Lune still beat her fairly easily]].
* BraidsOfAction: When Mars takes over, her host's hair is braided.
* CaptainMorganPose: Before heading out to hand the colossal Weiss their collective asses in FLAG 265.
* DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnMale: States that her host will assert her feelings, even if she has to force herself on Keima.
* {{Foil}}: Mars thinks only about fighting while her host thinks only about romance. Both demonstrate masculine characteristics, though.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: While in possession of [[spoiler:Yui]]'s body, she turns her host's hair gold. Add the fact that she's more physical in standing up for justice, compared to her older sister Vulcanus.
* KnightInShiningArmor: [[spoiler:Yui and Mars play this to Keima's DistressedDude in the horror house]].
* LadyOfWar: Her manners aren't particularly exceptional, but her appearance is quite refined, she uses a RoyalRapier and she's in a position akin to royalty. She looks it too.
* LightningBruiser: Fast, powerful and durable.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Apart from the change in hair color, she also turns [[spoiler:Yui]]'s eyes red. Plus, she's the Goddess of War.
* RoyalRapier: Her host [[spoiler:Yui Goidou]] uses a prop one during her date with Keima, but Mars wields it expertly against the "evil agent of Vintage."
* RunningGag: A small one: [[spoiler: Confusing Yui for a guy]].
* SacrificedBasicSkillForAwesomeTraining: Mars is a WarGoddess and has always been on the front lines of battle, which has apparently left her with little of a social life.
* SlipknotPonytail: When Mars takes over to fend off the 'Evil Vintage agent,' AKA [[spoiler: Haqua]].
* SuperStrength: To her host's surprise, a light push from Mars is enough to send a punk flying backwards.
* TomboyishPonytail: Just like her host she has long hair tied up at the back, except she has even more of it.
* TsurimeEyes: Her sharp eyes contrast her host's TaremeEyes.
* WarGoddess: Mars is named after the Roman god of war and appears to be the most physically powerful goddess of the Jupiter Sisters.

The fifth goddess, she is unique in that during the recapture arc she is in fact seen separate from her host. Her personality appears quite similar to her host, as does her appearance, though Minerva looks far younger.

She is the second youngest of the Jupiter Sisters.
----
* AdaptationDyeJob: Minerva has light blue hair in the manga's colored illustrations. On the other hand, the anime gives her hair a purplish tint.
* AstralProjection: She is able to manifest herself in a ghostly form outside her host's body.
* BarrierWarrior: Minerva can manifest force-fields to protect herself or others.
* CuteBookworm: [[spoiler:Like her host Shiori]], Minerva is definitely the bookish type and is spotted around the library several times before her capture.
* CuteOversizedSleeves: Minerva's possession causes her host's body to get much smaller. As a result, her host's clothes look big in her and her arms are covered by oversized sleeves. Combined with her status as TokenMiniMoe, Minerva looks really adorable.
* TheCutie: Minerva is small, childlike and very shy, all which are traits that make her absolutely cute.
* JustAKid: Her childish figure is mocked by Apollo: "Minerva can't kidnap a man yet! Not with this!". [[GenreSavvy Mars]] is more cautious in her judgement, admitting that [[PaedoHunt some men]] are into this, and Katsuragi might be.
* MagicalBarefooter: Minerva is a goddess who appears as a barefoot child version of her host.
* NoSocialSkills: She's awkward, quiet and naive. Even after she was able to manifest an AstralProjection, it took her a while to even try to speak to her host and introduce herself.
* OlderAlterEgo: {{Inverted|Trope}}. Minerva's appearance is much younger than her host's. When Minerva is in control of the body, her host goes from being a teenager to a little child.
* PowerDyesYourHair: While in possession of [[spoiler:Shiori]]'s body, she turns her host's hair light bluish purple.
* PowerMakesYourHairGrow: Minerva's possession makes her host's hair grow notably longer.
* TheQuietOne: She rarely speaks up.
* ShrinkingViolet: Not only does she almost never talk, she tends not to finish her thoughts before getting too nervous and quitting.
* ShyBlueHairedGirl: Minerva is a very shy and quiet goddess with light blue hair.
* SupportPartyMember: Minerva is adept at support magic. She can construct impenetrable force fields and magnify the powers of her sisters.
* TaremeEyes: Minerva has large and round eyes like her host's, and shares the latter's shy personality.
* TokenMiniMoe: She's the smallest and most childlike of the Jupiter Sisters, though not actually the youngest.
* TwiceShy: A platonic version with [[spoiler:Shiori]]. Minerva and her host are both incredibly shy and quiet, so they never talked to each other until Minerva got her wings.
* VisibleSilence: Her most common line is '...'

The final goddess and the one Keima has of course been trying to find the whole time, Mercurius is considered to be something of an oddball. While the other sisters all have a particular strength, Mercurius appears to have more interest in learning weird spells. For her capture, Keima is unsure of her host and thus has to pursue more than one girl at once.

She is the youngest Jupiter Sister.
----
* BigLittleSister: To Minerva. While Minerva is the second youngest of the Jupiter Sisters and Mercurius the youngest, Mercurius is much taller than Minerva.
* DrearyHalfLiddedEyes: Unlike her host, Mercurius is drawn with half-lidded eyes, making her look tired and sleepy all the time.
* FacialMarkings: She has some small stripes beneath her eyes.
* {{Foil}}: While [[spoiler:Ayumi]] is a GenkiGirl who loves running, Mercurius is a lazy {{Sleepyhead}}.
* HidingBehindYourBangs: When she takes over her host's body, one of her eyes is covered by her long bangs. In contrast to her host, who is a GenkiGirl, Mercurius is rather apathetic and dozy, as she rarely speaks to her host about important matters and prefers to sleep most of the time.
* MacGuffinSuperPerson: Keima sets out to find the goddesses' hosts because he needs Mercurius' power to save [[spoiler:Kanon/Apollo]].
* MysticalWhiteHair: Her hair is white and her sisters say she's the specialist with regards to unfamiliar/bizarre spells.
* SignificantWhiteHairDarkSkin: Out of the goddesses, Mercurius' silver hair and dark skin give her the most unique look. According to her sisters, Mercurius is the specialist with regards to unfamiliar and bizarre spells.
* {{Sleepyhead}}: She always appears drowsy and spent most of her capture asleep while her host ran about. [[spoiler:Afterward, she slept through the party the goddesses held and just woke up at the end to announce that their arguing was pointless since Ayumi and Keima just got [[MetaphoricalMarriage "married"]].]]
* SuperSpeed: While her namesake's known for his speed, Mercurius' own abilities in this regard are unclear, though she has used it. Minerva thinks Mercurius would be the fastest absent the use of powers, and indeed she wins a race between the goddesses with that handicap in place, even though she was asleep at the starting line. (To be fair, though, the other goddesses ''did'' eat [[LethalChef Elsie's cooking]] along the way...)

A New Devil that appears in the Kanon spin-off. She used to work as an idol prior to getting stuck as a child and aims to TakeOverTheWorld.
----
* CastingAShadow: She envelopes an entire city with darkness, since Devils come from a realm of darkness and can withstand darkness and cold much better than humans. She would have liked to do the same thing to the ''entire'' human world, but fortunately doesn't have anywhere near that sort of power.
* CombatPragmatist: She takes full advantage of the fact that devils can handle the cold much better than humans in her musical duel with Kanon.
%% * DarkMagicalGirl
* {{Familiar}}: She has a Stray Spirit that takes the form of a demonic owl to serve her.
* FountainOfYouth: Just like Kanon, she is stuck with the body of a child, except when she uses [[ThePowerOfRock The Power of Song]] to transform into a DarkMagicalGirl.
* HeelFaceTurn: Implied to have made one by the final chapter. We just don't know when.
* MagicIdolSinger: Just like Kanon, she uses a combination of Hellian magic and [[ThePowerOfRock The Power of Song]] to transform into one.
* PunyEarthlings: She makes sure to emphasize just how inferior humans are to her kind.
* TheRival: To Kanon.
* TakeOverTheWorld: Her ultimate goal, not that it's anything to be taken seriously.
