[[folder:Dr. Henry Jekyll]]

Though distant and obsessed with his work, he cares deeply for his friends and servants. He's dedicated his life to those less fortunate, but part of it is to satisfy his personal pride. Stubborn and arrogant, he has only opened up to Al and Molly. And despite seeing Al as his good friend, he's always been jealous of him...

* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Is on the receiving end of one from Hyde. [[spoiler: ''Who is really guilty?'']]
* BlindWithoutEm: Jekyll is very near-sighted and can't see a thing without his glasses. Hyde has no such issues.
* BreakTheCutie: His backstory has ''not'' done him any favors. Hyde seems to be trying to intentionally cause this, guilt-tripping him to remain in control.
* EnemyWithin: Hyde is not a pleasant person to be sharing head space with.
* FatalFlaw: Jekyll's pride is noted to be a major flaw, as is his habit of selective memory, intentionally forgetting or repressing his darker urges.
* ImportantHaircut: Henry cut off his ponytail after feeling betrayed by Utterson, keeping his hair short from then on.
* JekyllAndHyde: Jekyll originally created the serum to figure out what humans did with the 70% of their brain not in use. He gained an evil split personality that began as a voice in his head.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Aloysius "Al" Utterson]]

The child of an unfortunate affair, Al is the bastard of an aristocrat from the Utterson family. Most of his early childhood was spent with his half-sister and mother until her death. He and Henry became good friends during his time as his valet, but when he left the household, Al returned the same cold attitude Henry gave him. Despite his bitter front, he has his own ways of showing kindness...

* HeroicBastard
* LockedOutOfTheFight: In the morgue, is [[spoiler: knocked out very quickly, while Hyde takes off after the attacker alone. Not that Hyde ''needed'' the help, as the ensuing bloodbath proved.]]
* TheStoic: His expressions and reactions are generally a muted reflection of other characters', and he rarely smiles.
* WorthyOpponent: At least in Hyde's opinion. [[spoiler: Although it's hard to say if Hyde genuinely considers this, or is just making excuses over Henry not letting him hurt Al]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Molly Poole]]

Spending most of her early childhood on the streets with her half-brother Al, the two were eventually taken in by Jekyll. Her kind heart and bright personality have always made her the big sister sort of character among the other servants. When Al left the household, she stayed behind, as one of the few people Henry still trusted.
* CameBackWrong: [[spoiler:Somehow has been resurrected by Lanyon, but with no personality or memories. Chapter 25 reveals Jekyll's [=HJ7=] drug is responsible.]]
* DeadlyHug: Hugs an upset Henry in chapter two. Unfortunately, Hyde takes control again in the middle of it and his weapon of choice happens to be at arm's length. Henry and Molly don't realize what's happened until she's already dead.
* KillTheCutie: Gets killed in chapter 2. [[spoiler:Much later, she's brought back as a zombie]].
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: On Hyde's cane sword, no less.
* TheIngenue: Sees the good in every situation. It ends up getting her killed.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Edward Hyde]]

The alter ego who surfaced after the many experiments Jekyll performed on himself. Though he first appeared as a voice in Jekyll's mind, he became fully capable of controlling Jekyll's body. Cunning and prone to mischief, his intentions and motives are unknown.

* CaneFu: When Hyde isn't using the sword part of his cane, he's beating people to death with it.
* ClusterFBomb: Has his moments.
* EvilFeelsGood: Feels an adrenaline rush after first murdering someone, decides he likes it, and sets out to do more.
* FacePalmOfDoom: Delivers one to one of his victims. Subverted, in that it's only fatal because Hyde ''slammed the victim's head through a fence picket.''
* HearingVoices: Unlike most adaptations, Hyde first appeared as a voice in Henry's head.
* HoYay: Invoked; he flirts with Al considerably more than necessary. Jury's still out on what exactly his intentions are. [[spoiler: But considering the events in chapter 18, it's safe to say his interest is sexual.]]
* HydePlaysJekyll: Literally in the first half of chapter 10. Fortunately, Al notices the small differences and quickly calls him out on it.
* ItAmusedMe: Hyde's reasoning for a lot of his actions? He thought it'd be fun.
* JekyllAndHyde: Hyde is Jekyll's evil split personality that began as a voice in his head.
* LaughingMad: Cackles hysterically after killing his first victim.
* NervesOfSteel: His only response after being whipped is to mockingly ask if it was supposed to hurt.
* ReasonYouSuckSpeech: Delivers a fairly devastating one to Henry, and later to Al.
* SlasherSmile: Tends to give these when killing people or relishing in the memory of doing so.
* SoreLoser: Refuses to give in to [[spoiler:Lanyon's demands]] and let Jekyll take over simply because he hates to lose.
* TheUnfettered: Lives according to his whims and no one else's, caring nothing for the law.
* VillainousCrush: His constant flirting and occasional advances really make Al confused and uncomfortable.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Oswald Carew]]

One of the biggest names in Scotland Yard, he is one of the officials that Utterson has to report to directly. Prior to the current case, however, the two have been fairly close partners. A sharp marksman and a reasonably figure of the law, he rarely cuts corners for those who commit crimes.

* AbusiveParents: [[spoiler: The scars on his hand are just the tip of the iceberg.]]
* SamusIsAGirl: [[spoiler: Although he doesn't care for his gender identity anymore, Carew was born a girl, but took his twin brother's name after he fell ill, on the insistence of their parents. His original name was Emma.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Randall Lanyon]]

His and Jekyll's families have been friends since they were children, so they frequently played together. He took over the family business in running the morgues that the Lanyon's own across London. Ironically, his deep fear of death and all things related means that he is only the figurehead of the company, and does next to no true work in the mortuary.

* AbusiveParents: On an emotional level, Randall had no voice in the matter of inheriting the family business.
* AffablyEvil: [[spoiler:His dark side, when he isn't just [[FauxAffablyEvil pretending]]]].
* [[spoiler:BigBadFriend]]: [[spoiler:Is associated with the Masked Society]].
* CrypticConversation: Lanyon has things to discuss with Jekyll, but the comic often cuts away without revealing what his business is. Chapter 25 finally reveals what he wants.
* DirtyCoward: What Hyde accuses him of being.
* {{Fainting}}: Lanyon blacks out after being attacked, [[spoiler:letting ''his'' other personality awaken]].
* HelplessGoodSide: [[spoiler:But only because he gave up on his own]].
* ManipulativeBastard: [[spoiler:His dark side used his pain and fear to let him get the control]].
* NervousWreck: Is a mortician who's terrified of blood and death.
* SafetyInIndifference: [[spoiler:Why he let his dark side take over]], [[spoiler:Randall is deeply affected that he and Henry have grown apart over the years, and being "asleep" in his subconscious while his dark side runs things is his way to cope with the pain]].
-->'''Randall''': He gave me the option of to just disappear from it all- be in place with no responsibilities... No false promises. You wouldn't understand how peaceful that is.
* SmokingIsCool: [[spoiler:Especially when your dark side does it]].
* TheSocialDarwinist: [[spoiler:His dark side believes that Henry's drug will help determine who is fit to live in the world he envisions.]]
* TheSociopath: Apparently, [[spoiler: his evil side doesn't feel ''anything''. It likely has something to do with the fact that Lanyon is overridden by fear and is unable to break free of it. His evil side's coolness and absolute calm reflect his desire for a life where he wouldn't be always terrified of death]].
* SplitPersonalityTakeOver: [[spoiler:Randall seems to be getting along fairly well with Lanyon, to the point of willingly giving him control. At any rate, their situation is better than Jekyll and Hyde's.]]
* WalkingSpoiler: [[spoiler:He has a split personality just like Jekyll and is in league with the Masked Society]].

[[folder:Annmarie Sing]]

Nicknamed the "Red Butterfly" at the Violet Seaside Bar, she is considered one of the most popular girls at the establishment. She has even been frequently visited by Hyde, who seems to have a deep interest in her. Aside from her occupation, however, not much is known about her life. But like anyone else on the streets, she's willing to break laws and morals to stay alive.

* BrokenBird: Seems to be implied. Especially considering [[spoiler: the brutal murder of her sister by Hyde a month before the start of the comic]].
* TheOldestProfession: How she met Hyde in the first place.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Delilah 'Daisy' Bonnay]]

A blind opera singer. She appears flighty and airheaded but is smarter than she lets on. She has a crush on Carew after he saved her from an attack.

* BlindBlackGuy
* GenkiGirl: She's very hyperactive.
