!Sky People
Sky People, or Skaikru (in Trigedasleng) is a term used by the Grounders to describe a person who came from the Ark. They are also commonly known as Arkers. The Sky People alive today are descendants of humans who were on space stations during the nuclear apocalypse 97 years before the show. The first Sky People to arrive on the ground are known as the 100, referring to the group of teenage criminals considered expendable by the Ark government who were sent down to Earth to prove it was habitable (as the Ark was running out of oxygen). Much of the first season focuses on their attempts to survive the ground when most of their communication with the Ark is destroyed.

The main members of the Sky People are Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia, Murphy, Monty, Jasper, and formerly Wells and Finn from the 100, later joined by Raven in Season 1. Abby, Jaha, and Kane were the main members of the Ark before arriving on Earth, Abby and Kane at the end of Season 1 and Jaha in the beginning of Season 2. Clarke and Bellamy serve as the leaders of the 100 and Abby and Kane as the leaders of the Sky People as a whole though arguably Clarke is the main leader of the Sky People in Seasons 2 and 3 onward.

Miller was a thief on the Ark and became one of Bellamy's inner circle on the ground.
----
* AmbiguouslyGay: The only male out of the 100 other than Monty to not show any interest in women. In fact, the only person he's shown even the slightest bit of interest toward ''is'' Monty. Stops being ambiguous and is confirmed by Season 3, where we meet his boyfriend.
* AscendedExtra: Starts off as just one of Bellamy's goons before becoming more prominent later.
* BerserkButton: Messing with his dad doesn't sit well with him.
* TheBigGuy: Particularly for the 47 who are trapped in Mt. Weather. He is one of the biggest and most physically capable members of the group and puts his strength to good use when bashing a wall in with a sledgehammer to expose the communications lines.
* BrutalHonesty: Even if the other characters don't like it.
* CharacterDevelopment: In Season 1, he has a clear disdain of Grounders and antagonizes a chained and vulnerable Lincoln. By Season 3, he's Pro-Grounder, helping Lincoln and his people and working with Kane and Octavia to keep the Grounders safe.
* TheCobblersChildrenHaveNoShoes: Discussed with Monty. His dad was chief guard, while he was jailed for petty thievery.
-->'''Miller:''' He sure loved having a thief for a kid.
* DeadpanSnarker: He has his moments.
--> '''Jasper''' ''(To Clarke):'' We're guests here, not prisoners. And what would you do with a guest who kept calling you a liar, and generally acted like an ungrateful ass?\
'''Miller:''' Kick the ungrateful ass out.
* {{Foil}}: To Jasper in Season 2.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble: He easily fits the Choleric label with Monty (Melancholic), Jasper (Sanguine) and Harper (Phlegmatic).
* FreudianTrio: Miller (Superego), Monty (Ego) and Jasper (Id).
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He can be a jackass, but his main focus is keeping his friends safe. He was also one of the people who volunteered to inform parents on the Ark if their child died on the ground.
* LastNameBasis: Most people just call him Miller.
* NumberTwo: Steps into this after Murphy is exiled. Discussed with Bellamy and Clarke. In season 5, becomes this to [[spoiler: Octavia in the bunker]].
-->'''Clarke:''' You left Miller in charge of the Grounder. You must trust him.\
'''Bellamy:''' You should keep him close. The others listen to him.
* OnlySaneMan: He and Monty initially in Mt. Weather. Jasper and the others come around eventually.
* OffscreenRomance: After some ShipTease in Season 4 Miller and Jackson are revealed to have gotten together at some point during the six year TimeSkip and become a OfficialCouple for the rest of the series.
* RedOniBlueOni: Blue to Jasper's Red. And Red to Monty's Blue.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: Joins Kane's resistance against Pike, despite the threat of treason.
* TheStoic: Hardly shows any emotion. He's smiled maybe twice on the show.
* StraightGay: According to Season 3, he had a boyfriend back on the Ark and the boyfriend is introduced in the second episode as part of the Farm Station survivors.
%%TallDarkAndHandsome
%%TallDarkAndSnarky
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Initially with Maya in Mt. Weather. He did not trust her and thought she might be a spy. He's not particularly fond of Jasper either.
* WhenHeSmiles: Monty gets him to crack his first genuine smile onscreen in Season 2. It’s a pleasant sight.

!!Harper Mcintyre
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_100_chelsey_reist_lrg.jpg]]
->'''Played by:''' Chelsey Reist

A gunner in the militia that Bellamy creates to defend the delinquents. She is among the 48 captured by the Mountain Men.
----
* ActionGirl: Was a gunner in Bellamy's militia and has since proven herself more than capable with a shock-lash.
* AscendedExtra: Originally just another member of the titular 100, but has risen in prominence alongside Miller with each season. In Season 4, she [[spoiler: becomes one of the seven who journeys to space to return to the Ark for five years.]]
* ButtMonkey: As if having ''Jasper'' of all people turn down her offer of sex and then later being regulated to watch duty in Mount Weather wasn't bad enough, she was the first member of the 47 taken by the Mountain Men to have bone marrow forcibly extracted from her, which leaves her in very bad shape.
* CharacterDeath: [[spoiler:Her father's genetic condition kills her several decades after she and Monty put everybody else in cryosleep.]]
* FourTemperamentEnsemble: She generally fits the Phlegmatic label with Jasper (Sanguine), Monty (Melancholic), and Miller (Choleric).
* RelationshipUpgrade: In Season 3 seduces and sleeps with her friend Monty, becoming an OfficialCouple in Season 4.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: She is very eager to get some payback against the Mountain Men after they forcibly removed her bone marrow for several days.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: Joins Kane's resistance against Pike, despite it being treason.
* ScreamingWoman: Chelsey Reist's distinctively piercing scream has been put to good use at several points.
* ShipTease:
** In Season 2, Harper and Monty become close friends in Mount Weather and are one of the few to survive the bone marrow experiments. He takes care of her after the first round and she is one of the first people he hugs after the irradiation. In "Red Sky At Morning" she sleeps with him and they become an OfficialCouple at the end of the season.
** In Season 1, she had this with Jasper as she attempted to flirt with him when he became popular for shooting at the Grounders though he showed no interest in her as he had a crush on Octavia at the time. But just like with Monty they become closer friends in Mount Weather and he ends up showing interest in Maya.
* TookALevelInBadass:
** Got better with a gun in Season 1 and even shoots some guards in Mount Weather in Season 2.
** She got more training during the three months after Mount Weather which included Lincoln teaching her and the others hand-to-hand combat. She is also implied to have gotten more weapons training.
* TookALevelInCynic: In Season 4. This is because when the deadly Black Rain came, she saw someone fall down, but she ran instead of helping him. This act haunts her greatly, and she goes along with Jasper's plans rather than try and survive. Ultimately, [[spoiler:Monty manages to talk her out of it at the last minute.]]

->'''Played by:''' Katie Stuart

A member of the militia that Bellamy creates to defend the delinquents. She was one of the few not taken by the Mountain Men.
----
* AnnoyingArrows: Averted: after being hit in the leg with an arrow while helping to rescue Mel, Monroe has to be taken back to Camp Jaha to recover from the wound.
* AmbiguouslyGay/ AmbiguouslyBi: [[WordOfGay According to her actress she wasn't straight.]] But it wasn't clarified whether or not she was bisexual or a lesbian.
** On the show itself she is shown to be a tomboy but was never shown to be in a romantic relationship or show romantic interest in anybody, but she did have a close friendship with Sterling and she was shown to be friends with Harper.
* CharacterDeath: [[spoiler:She dies from inhaling poison gas.]]
* BraidsOfAction: Wears her hair tied back into three braids, one in the middle and two along the side of her head.
* DiesWideOpen: [[spoiler: She died gasping for breath while staring at Bellamy, after being poisoned by acid fog.]]
* CowardlyLion: She is among the more nervous and frightened fighters in the 100, but has stepped up a couple of times despite her fears to help the others.
* MauveShirt: She's made several appearances as a supporting character and gained a first name [[spoiler:before promptly dying]].
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Sterling in Season 2, until Sterling dies.
* TookALevelInBadass: During the Grounders attack on the dropship, she ran away after running out of ammo instead of fighting, and it is later hinted that she and Sterling fled the battle when the Grounders began to overrun the camp, which is why they avoided being captured by Mt. Weather. She gets braver after psyching herself and Sterling up in order to rescue Bellamy and Finn from Tristan, and later provides covering fire by herself for the others while they rescue Mel.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Fox]]
!!Fox
->'''Played by:''' Creator/GenevieveBuechner

A member of the 100. She is among the 48 captured by the Mountain Men.
----
* AloofDarkHairedGirl: Was closer to this trope in Season 1, when she could often be seen standing in the background with her arms crossed and looking irritated, but less so in later episodes.
* AnimalMotif: She's one of a handful of characters from the Ark named after an animal that can be found on the ground. (Or could have, prior to nuclear annihilation.)
* BloodFromTheMouth: When Murphy brings the sickness back to camp, she throws up blood right in another delinquent's face before fainting, leading the whole camp to panic.
* DamselInDistress: She is captured by the Mountain Men when they attempt to raid the 47 after they hold up on Level 5, but is rescued by Bellamy before they can begin extracting bone marrow from her. However, she ends up getting harvested and dies anyway.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: She and the other unnamed delinquents that were harvested for bone marrow.
* ForgottenFallenFriend: Jasper was extremely broken up and angry over her being taken in Resurrection, but he never questions about her welfare after learning Bellamy saves her; or even comments on her real death to the point of where you have to wonder if he's even aware of it. Surely he would have mentioned her death when he was chipped by A.L.I.E and listing off the killed delinquents, and yet he never did. She had minor interactions with various main characters, but after her death Fox was never again mentioned by anyone.
* KilledOffscreen: Her mutilated body is unceremoniously dumped down a chute into a cart in the reaper tunnels in the Season 2 finale, discovered by Octavia after being harvested by the Mountain Men. Her death is spoiled in a clip before the episode even airs.
* MauveShirt: Has a name and more lines than most background delinquents, but was never able to rise beyond minor character status, unlike characters such as Harper and Miller, due to her death in the finale of Season 2.
* NotQuiteSavedEnough: Earlier in the season, Bellamy saves her from bone marrow harvesting, not once, but TWICE; come the finale and she has the same fate she'd been spared of just a few episodes prior.
* NominalImportance: She's a minor character with a handful of appearances, but unlike most of the background delinquents seen, she actually has a name and a small effect on Jasper's storyline during the Mount Weather arc.
* RecurringExtra: She has been around since the pilot but has only had a handful of lines and her name is not even said onscreen until her eighth appearance.
* ScreamingWoman: When she's captured by the Mountain Men. This trend continues into the flashback in Join or Die where she's the first to run to the door and scream for help when Pike begins to beat on Murphy.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Sterling]]
!!Sterling
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2e45a059cb8da5f4c9418bc5b682b3c1.jpg]]
->'''Played by:''' Keenan Tracy

A member of the militia that Bellamy creates to defend the delinquents. He was one of the few delinquents not taken by the Mountain Men.
----
* CharacterDeath: Plummets to his death after the rope he was lowered down on to rescue Mel unties under his weight.
* MauveShirt: He makes several appearances as a supporting character before dying.
* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: His attempt to rescue Mel leads to his death.
* RecklessGunUsage: Falls asleep with his finger on his rifle's trigger while on guard duty in ''We Are Grounders, Part 1'' and accidentally fires off a shot, which leads to Bellamy chewing him out for his stupidity.
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Monroe in Season 2, until his death.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Atom]]
!!Atom
->'''Played by:''' Rhys Ward

One of Bellamy's inner circle.
----
* MercyKill: After being horribly burn and blinded by the acid fog, Atom begs for death. After Bellamy can't go through with it, Clarke does.
* NiceGuy: Unlike most of the 100 who initially follow Bellamy, Atom is a pretty decent guy.
* TemporaryLoveInterest: To Octavia. He initially sees her as a brat and a terrible assignment, but they grow closer. It's cut short when he's {{Mercy Kill}}ed by Clarke.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Of Bellamy's followers, he's the only decent one.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Roma]]
!!Roma Bragg
->'''Played by:''' Celia Reid

A member of the 100 who entered into a relationship with Bellamy.
----
* BloodFromTheMouth: When she's speared by the grounders.
* DeadpanSnarker: Of the few lines she's had, most of them qualify as this.
* DeathGlare: On occasion.
* DeathWail: Does this after coming face to face with Diggs freshly impaled body.
* DiesWideOpen: Bellamy shuts them.
* FullyClothedNudity: Acts like this when Clarke and Finn walk in on her.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: She is killed when a Grounder hurls a spear which impales her to a tree.
* ScreamingWoman: Once the grounders started chasing them she becomes very panicked.
* SkewedPriorities: When Raven's drop pod is seen coming down, Roma hopes that the Arc is sending them shampoo instead of something actually useful for survival.
* TemporaryLoveInterest: For Bellamy. She was one of two girls seen sleeping in his tent, and he was the hardest hit by her death, noting that she had only gone looking for Octavia because of him.
* ThisIsForEmphasisBitch:
--> '''Roma:''' Ever hear of knocking, ''bitch?''
* UnreliableNarrator: Did Roma really only go looking for Octavia because of Bellamy? We never hear it from her, so it isn't certain if it's just Bellamy's grief and guilt talking, or if Roma actually had another reason.

->'''Played by:''' Creator/IzabelaVidovic

One of the youngest delinquents. Her parents were killed on Jaha's orders.
----
* ApologeticAttacker: Charlotte apologizes before stabbing Wells and, as he dies, tearfully explains that she has to "slay her demons" to stop her nightmares of his father having her parents executed.
* ChildrenAreInnocent: Zig-zagged. She murders Wells in cold blood but seems to have very little understanding of the consequences of what she has done.
* DrivenToSuicide: Eventually jumps off a cliff due to the guilt caused by her murder of Wells and the uproar this causes in the camp.
* MoralityPet: One of the few people Bellamy shows a softer side to early on; he gives her advice on moving past her trauma. It...doesn't quite work. Even after she admits to killing Wells, he still attempts to protect her.
* PlaguedByNightmares: Confesses to Wells that she has bad dreams every night, and believes they will stop if she kills Wells.
* SacrificialLamb: Her death proves that not even children are safe from death in this show.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Saw murdering Wells as a legitimate way to get over her parents' deaths. She does eventually feel bad about it.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Myles]]
!!Myles
->'''Played by:''' Brendan Meyer

A member of the 100 who goes hunting on Bellamy's order.
----
* BaitTheDog: Played with. He's ''allegedly'' the one who tied the knot to hang Murphy, but Murphy is an unreliable source at best.
* BreakTheCutie: Gets shot with arrows, left for dead, and then killed by Murphy.
* MauveShirt: Gets a name, a bit of personality, and the opportunity to lampshade the trope when he mentions that he and the main cast don't really hang out that much before getting offed.
* NiceGuy: He has a clear crush on Clarke, but invites Finn for the hunt without seeing him as competition for her affections. He seems to care more about chatting with friends.
* SacrificialLamb: His death is used to make Murphy's treachery apparent to the remaining 100.
[[/folder]]

!!Arkadia
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arkadia_sign_3x01.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:Arkadia]]
Arkadia, formerly known as Camp Jaha, is the home-base of the Sky People. The camp is built around the crashed Alpha Station after it was brought down to Earth along with the other stations of The Ark. Arkadia is called home to the remaining Sky People who came to Earth in Alpha Station, Mecha Station, Factory Station, Farm Station, and the Delinquents' drop ship.

[[folder:Eric Jackson]]
!!Eric Jackson
->'''Played by:''' Sachin Sahel

A medical officer and assistant to Abby on the Ark.
----
* BewareTheNiceOnes: In season 7, [[spoiler: Jackson lashes out at people he holds responsible for Abby's death.]]
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler: Becomes a member of the City of Light after Jaha's return.]]
* GrewASpine: After six years in the bunker, [[spoiler: Jackson is no longer afraid to stand up for what he believes in, standing up to both Indra and Abby, with varying amounts of success.]]
* IDidWhatIHadToDo: While other members of Wonkru suffer from varying levels of PTSD due to what happened in the bunker, Jackson accepts what they had to do to survive and doesn't continue to dwell on it.
* LastNameBasis: Like many other characters, Jackson is only ever referred to by his last name.
* OffscreenRomance: After some ShipTease in Season 4 Jackson is revealed to have hooked up with Miller during the six year TimeSkip in Season 5 and the two are now an OfficialCouple.
* RageAgainstTheMentor: [[spoiler: His interactions with Abby in season 6.]]
* SatelliteCharacter: Everything he does revolves around his role as Abby's medical assistant and friend. Subverted in later seasons.
* ShipTease: With Miller in Season 4, since the two are regularly seen spending time together. The two actors are very close, as seen in social media, and have definitely played up the ship. By Season 5 it's no longer teasing and the two are a straight up couple.
* UndyingLoyalty: Jackson is extremely devoted to Abby. He's a dependable assistant and confidant. [[spoiler: Subverted and zig-zagged after season 5.]]

->'''Played by:''' Chris Shields

A chief guard on the Ark and father of Nathan Miller.
----
* OutOfFocus: He appeared only when it had to do with getting his son out of Mount Weather and he tends to disappear for a few episodes especially in Season 3 where his only speaking part is to give Kane a message about Indra and he's not seen again for the rest of the season.
* PapaWolf:
** He will do anything to protect his son, and even tries to convince Abby to let him stay behind at Camp Jaha when it looks like they are going to evacuate because he refuses to abandon Nathan in Mount Weather.
** When Skaikru holds a lottery to see [[spoiler: who will have a place in the bunker,]] he puts his son's name in in place of his own. [[spoiler: Nate's name is drawn, and David dies.]]
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: Helps Abby in letting Bellamy, Finn, Murphy, Sterling, and Monroe leave Camp Jaha to find the other delinquints as well as arming them.

->'''Played by:''' Creator/AlessandroJuliani

The Chief Engineer on the Ark. On Earth, he helped supervise the construction of Camp Jaha and continued to serve as engineer.
----
* TheEngineer: He was responsible for keeping the Ark together and running smoothly. After arriving on Earth, Sinclair oversees the construction of Camp Jaha and its defenses. He also brings equipment and men to help recovery operations in Tondc after it is hit by a missile from Mount Weather.
* HelpfulHallucination: When Raven has resigned to her fate of [[spoiler: dying as a consequence of the brain damage caused by A.L.I.E.'s chip]], he appears to her as a representation of her will to fight and ultimately helps her to [[spoiler: figure out a way to fix her brain]].
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: [[spoiler: Gutted by Emerson as part of his revenge plot against Clarke]].
* LastNameBasis: Sinclair is always referred to by his last name.
* MentorOccupationalHazard: One of the nicest Ark characters and a mentor figure to Raven. [[spoiler: Clearly, he stood no chance against Emerson's revenge.]]
* OnlySaneMan: He is the only major leader on the Ark who stays out of the power struggles and simply tries to do his job.
* ParentalSubstitute: Acts as one for Raven since she had a deadbeat mother. Lindsey Morgan (Raven's actress) has speculated that Sinclair could be her estranged father who encouraged her to pursue engineering from a young age, but it's never been addressed on the show.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Easily the most reasonable and friendly leader on the Ark, and he even cleared Raven for spacewalks after she was initially denied permission due to a minor heart condition because he recognized her talents.
* TheSmartGuy: Of the Ark's leadership, being in charge of running simulations and running the engineering departments.

->'''Played by:''' Creator/LeahGibson

A survivor from the Ark. She is in a romantic relationship with Bellamy following the time jump between Seasons 2 and 3.
----
* DeadpanSnarker: Probably her most defining trait.
* DisposableWoman: [[spoiler: Her death early in season 3, her third episode, spurs Bellamy on to support Pike.]]
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: [[spoiler: How she dies by the assassin in Mount Weather.]]
* NiceGirl: She brings Bellamy a book his mother used to read him from one of her scavenging runs.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Bellamy apparently knew her on the Ark. She was never mentioned before her relationship with Bellamy, though the reason for this could be that she barely arrived when the Ark crashed on Earth and that the survivors where spread out in different locations so she probably wasn't around during the events of Season 2 or she was just in the background and Bellamy was also in Mount Weather most of Season 2 so he probably didn't run into her until after.
* TemporaryLoveInterest: To Bellamy.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: [[spoiler: She dies in her third episode.]]

->'''Played by:''' Steve Talley

One of the engineer/mechanics on the Ark.
----
* AbortedArc: Talley was fired after making horrifically racist statements on Twitter, so Season 3 opens with Raven having broken up with him offscreen during a TimeSkip, never to be mentioned again.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: According to Sinclair, he's goofy and likes to poke fun but comes up with brilliant ideas.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: He gets one mention in Season 3 before never being mentioned again.
* TheEngineer: Works with the Ark's technology. Keeps this up when they land on the ground.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: In "Human Trials" he briefly shuts off the power to the electric fence around Camp Jaha so that Clarke, Bellamy, and Octavia could sneak out to find Finn and Murphy.
* SecondLove: He's heavily implied to have it bad for Raven, as shown when he specifically asks her to work with him on a radio beacon. He even designed a brace for her leg. They slowly grow closer in the latter half of Season 2.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: He is not shown in Season 3 and is only mentioned to have broken up with Raven before the start of the season. This is because of his actor getting fired but it is unknown whether or not he lives or dies during the events of the season.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Byrne]]
!!Major Byrne
->'''Played by''' Kendall Cross

Leader of the Ark's guard on Earth.
----
* AnArmAndALeg: A fatal version. She dies from getting her arm torn off by a radiated gorilla.
* EasilyForgiven: Abby never mentions or begrudges her for that time Byrne whipped her in front of everyone.
* ToxicFriendInfluence: Encourages Kane to take more brutal measures to enforce law and order.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Her harsh rules lead to the death of Anya and further escalation of the war between Grounders and Sky People.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Her goal is largely to maintain a sense of law in an environment like [[CrapsackWorld Earth]].
[[/folder]]

!!Farm Station Survivors
The Agro Station (also known as "Farm Station") which was the Ark's agricultural facility. It was where edible plants and vegetables were grown, used as food by the inhabitants. It was also known for moonshine and medicinal herbs. Agro was one of three stations evacuated after losing power during the Unity Day mutiny. During the exodus, it survived the descending to Earth and crashed deep into Ice Nation territory somewhere to the northwest from Alpha Station with approx 200 survivors.

Miller's boyfriend from the Ark, and one of the survivors from Farm Station.
----
* ConflictingLoyalty: His loyalty to Farm Station and Pike begins to come between his loyalty to Miller.
* FantasticRacism: He hates the Grounders.
* HeelRealization: After betraying Miller's trust by planting a bug on him, he begins to wonder if what he, Monty and Bellamy are doing is really right.
* IDidWhatIHadToDo: Despite his loyalty to Pike, he only ends up betraying him to save Miller.
* LoveInterestTraitor: When he plants the bug on Miller to spy on him for Pike.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Miller never mentioned having a boyfriend before Bryan's introduction in Season 3, although this may be because Miller himself is TheQuietOne.
* RevengeBeforeReason: Participates in Pike's Anti-Grounder movement.
* SatelliteLoveInterest: His character is based around being Miller's boyfriend. Though this is subverted with his loyalty to Pike which ends up causing him to plant a bug on Miller under his orders and Miller and Bryan end up having an argument about it when Miller finds out and tells him that if he going to be on Pike's side then they can't be in a relationship anymore.
* StraightGay: Like his boyfriend Miller he doesn't have any stereotypical gay mannerisms.

Leader of the Farm Station survivors formerly was the Earth Skills teacher on the Ark.
----
* AntiVillain: As stated in WellIntentionedExtremist below, his goal is to protect his people from more attacks by the Grounders. But his actions in doing so could have gotten everybody wiped out and his actions even turn him against some of his own people who want to stop his plans.
* BadassTeacher: His knowledge in Earth Skills, the subject he taught students on the Ark, allowed him to adjust to the ground quickly and made him leader of the Farm Station survivors. He was also able to lead his people and helped them to successfully defend themselves from the Ice Nation grounders for months. He is also shown to be a capable fighter in the last episodes of the season.
* BlackAndWhiteInsanity: He believes that all Grounders are the enemy and refuses to accept peace with them.
* CantKillYouStillNeedYou:
** Kane stops Octavia from killing him in Season 3. He points out that the Grounders have to be the ones to kill Pike with their brand of justice so that the Sky People can renew peace with them.
** In late Season 3, Indra spares his life because Murphy points out to her that they'll need him in the fight against A.L.I.E.. Indra also tries to pull this for Pike on Octavia, who has a harder time with it because of him killing Lincoln. [[spoiler:She still kills him the moment A.L.I.E. is defeated.]]
* CharacterDeath: [[spoiler:Killed by Octavia as revenge for killing Lincoln.]]
* CruelToBeKind: In flashbacks, he provokes Murphy and beats him up in front of the rest of the class to get them to fight back because it was the last day he could teach them anything before they are sent to the ground and he needed to see if they have what it takes to survive.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: His actions nearly get Arkadia wiped out, until he's turned over to the Grounders. Afterward, A.L.I.E. takes over as the main villain.
* DidNotThinkThisThrough:
** The problem with his plan to fight a war with the Grounders is that even though the Sky People have guns and other advanced weaponry, the Grounders still greatly outnumber them and are hardened fighters besides that.
** Another problem that was brought up is that being at war with the Grounders will make it harder for the Sky People to gather resources. This is why Pike makes the decision to attack the nearby grounder village to farm the land to grow food.
* DoUntoOthersBeforeTheyDoUntoUs: His rationalization for the Grounder massacre was to attack them before they could attack Arkadia. He generally saw the Grounder/Sky People conflict starting again as inevitable and wanted his people to be the ones who strike first.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: He is introduced along with Farm Station disguised as Grounders and along with his people they cheer when they hear that Bellamy and the others killed some Ice Nation scouts earlier and they call them "Grounder killers" as a compliment. He also refuses to shake Indra's hand when Kane introduces her to him and tells him that she is an ally with Pike responding with a "well I guess I'll have to take your word for it" remark to Kane about it.
* EnemyMine: Indra and Murphy team up with him to [[spoiler: take on A.L.I.E.]]. He later is teamed up with Octavia, who still wants to kill him.
* FantasticRacism: [[JustifiedTrope His experiences with the Ice Nation and limited knowledge of the Trikru]] (the only things he knows about are the Sky People's repeated conflicts with them) have left him distrustful of ''all'' Grounders, and he refuses to believe that there can ever be peace between them and his people despite what Kane, Clarke and some of the others think.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: Pike is shown on a couple of occasions to not be afraid to die.
** He refuses to take A.L.I.E's chip and while he is being dragged to the cell he tells them that if they're going to kill him, get it over with.
** He doesn't beg for his life when Indra starts killing him with the [[DeathOfAThousandCuts traditional Grounder execution]] and even tells her to get on with it. {{Subverted}} when Murphy convinces her to spare his life.
** Implied by the [[spoiler:little nod he gives Octavia before she stabs him.]]
* {{Foil}}: To Kane because his attitude towards grounders counters Kane's desire to make peace with them. His devotion to his plan mirrors Kane wanting to kill 300 people on the Ark to save air and life support in Season 1.
* GetItOverWith: Tells A.L.I.E's people to go ahead and kill him in his refusal to ever take the chip. He also says this to Indra when she is torturing him.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: Fighting the Ice Nation has made him [[FantasticRacism hate and distrust all Grounders]] which leads him to unnecessarily massacre the Grounder army sent to protect Arkadia because he thought that they were planning to attack.
* HeelFaceDoorSlam: Despite signs of a redemption arc in late Season 3, [[spoiler:Octavia abruptly kills him in the finale as revenge.]]
* IDidWhatIHadToDo: He sees the [[spoiler:massacre of the Tree People Grounder army sent to protect Arkadia]] as attacking them before they could attack Arkadia and he wanted to strike first to show strength against the Grounders. He also decides to [[spoiler:attack a village]] afterwards because he wanted to farm the land for food as most of Arkadia's food supply was lost in the Mount Weather attack. It is shown that he still has this belief in the Season 3 finale.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: [[spoiler: Octavia stabs him with her sword]].
* KickTheDog:
** He is respectful to Lincoln but that doesn't stop him from [[spoiler:pulling the trigger for no reason other than to punish him for the others escaping.]]
** The [[spoiler:Grounder massacre. Not only do he and his men kill everyone in their sleep but also killed the wounded and children.]]
* TheLeader: He was the leader of the farm station survivors and became the leader of Arkadia when he was elected chancellor.
* MadeOfIron: In the last episodes of Season 3, he is able to fight and do other things despite heavy wounds and injuries.
* PetTheDog:
** Before executing [[spoiler:Lincoln]], Pike tells him that while he won't let his people go he will make sure they are properly taken care of.
** He tells Murphy that his father would be proud of him. This seems to be his way of apologizing for the things he said about his parents when he was provoking Murphy to fight him when they were in the classroom on the Ark.
** He saves Octavia's life during the final fight.
** His flashback story showed that he cared for his students and was willing to go with the 100 to the ground.
* PragmaticVillain:
** His pragmatism and his distrust for Grounders turn him into a villain when he [[spoiler:massacres a Trikru army]] out of the belief that war was inevitable.
** He later helps the others to [[spoiler:fight A.L.I.E.]] because she was a problem for everybody, which included setting aside his hatred for Grounders to work with Indra.
* RememberTheNewGuy: He was apparently important on the Ark but he was not mentioned by name or introduced until Season 3.
* RevengeBeforeReason: His hatred for Grounders leads to him rejecting the membership in the Coalition and starting a war when [[spoiler:he massacres a Trikru army who were sent by Lexa to protect Arkadia after the attack]].
* RevengeByProxy: Goes after the Trikru just for being Grounders like the Ice Nation who killed several of his people.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: To Season 1 Bellamy. Pike had to become a leader and defend his people from Grounder attacks. They both also believed that ViolenceIsTheOnlyOption in dealing with the Grounders.
* TyrantTakesTheHelm: [[spoiler: Becomes the new Chancellor in "Watch the Thrones" and proceeds to launch a war with the Grounders. He will also imprison, and if he must execute, those who help Grounders, or even refuse to accept his leadership or his rules.]]
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: His decisions led to [[spoiler:A.L.I.E taking over Arkadia as he was the one who allowed Jaha to stay there and he didn't pay attention to what he was doing as he was busy dealing with his war against the Grounders. He is also unintentionally responsible for Lexa's death as her decision not to wipe out the Sky People in response to his actions because of advice from Clarke lead to Titus accidentally killing her when he was trying to kill Clarke who he believed made Lexa weak.]]
* VillainHasAPoint: He's right that the Sky People's truce with the Grounders is very fragile. The Sky People having to be cautious with all their decisions under the threat that they could be wiped out if they make the wrong one and the Grounders' culture and traditions sometimes make it hard to reason with them.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: The motivation for his actions is to prevent any more attacks on his people by Grounders but his distrust of Grounders is almost irrational and his actions almost start a war that the Sky People cannot win.

Mother to Monty, and survivor of Farm Station.
----
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler: Takes one of the City of Light chips offscreen. A.L.I.E. sends her out to look for the escaped group by making it look like she's seeking asylum, running into Monty. Fortunately, Monty is pretty clever, but he is forced to put her down to save Octavia.]]
* CharacterDeath: [[spoiler:Monty is forced to kill her when she's about to kill Octavia while brainwashed by A.L.I.E.]]
* ConflictingLoyalty: Between her son Monty and Pike. [[spoiler:Ultimately, when [[VoiceWithAnInternetConnection Monty]] ends up revealing he is loyal to his friends (who at the time were escaping the Ark to avoid execution), she lies to Pike that they were screwing around with the communications system rather than Monty giving them information on how to escape. Though that gets sort of downplayed when she tells him to leave camp to find the others, under the pretense that Pike found out, only for it to turn out that this was a [[BatmanGambit gambit played by Pike]] so that he could lead them to the other traitors.]]
* FantasticRacism: Much like Pike, she ''despises'' Grounders. Unlike Pike, she goes as far to throw not-so-subtle insults at Lincoln as well, doubting his loyalty where Pike is more lenient. [[WouldHurtAChild She is even willing to kill their children.]]
* {{Jerkass}}: From what we've seen of her, she hasn't been a very sympathetic character.
* PetTheDog: Subverted because [[spoiler:though she doesn't rat Monty out about helping his friends escape and makes an excuse for him and later helps him escape from Arkadia, she does eventually tell Pike and the helping him escape was just part of a plan to set a trap for his friends.]]
* KickTheDog:[[spoiler:When she attempted to kill that Grounder child and off-screen betraying her own son Monty to Pike.]]
* MercyKill: [[spoiler:Monty is forced to kill her while she's brainwashed, but later on, when he hacks into the City of Light code system, he deletes Hannah's code.]]
* MissingMom: In the first two seasons.
* RevengeBeforeReason: Her disdain for Grounders stem from Farm Station's history with Ice Nation who killed her husband and stands alongside Pike in his Anti-Grounder movement after the Mount Weather attack by them and she also participates in the Trikru massacre.
* RevengeByProxy: Willing to go after all Grounders just for having association with the Ice Nation who killed her husband.
* UndyingLoyalty: She is loyal to Pike for keeping her and their group alive during their time in the Ice Nation territory and leads to the conflicting loyalty between him and her son but [[spoiler:she ends up betraying Monty by helping him escape just so that Pike could set a trap for him and his friends.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Just like Pike she is motivated to protect her people from the Grounders but the problem is she is also motivated by hatred and revenge for what the Ice Nation did to her husband.
* WouldHurtAChild: She and Gilmer hunt down a Grounder kid because [[HeKnowsTooMuch he's seen too much]].

[[folder:Diana Sydney]]
!!Diana Sydney
->'''Played by:''' Creator/KateVernon

Ex-chancellor who talks her way into a council position.
----
* BigBad: Serves as this for the Season 1 Ark story line as she is the one who orchestrated Jaha's assassination attempt, attacked the Unity Day celebration, and stole one of the dropships which resulted in The Ark loosing power and air thus forcing the Sky People to come to the ground.
* KarmicDeath: Extremely eager to get her people and some of the working class off the Ark, everyone else be damned. The ship then crashes into the ground and explodes due to its systems being jammed by the Mountain Men.
* TheManBehindTheMan: Diana was the one behind the head guard orchestrating Jaha's murder.
* ManipulativeBitch: She was a very charismatic politician who knew how to turn people over to her side. Too bad her "side" involved launching the Exodus ship and crippling the Ark.
* NeverFoundTheBody: She's killed when the Exodus ship explodes, and her body is never found.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: If her and her people didn't steal that ship it would have been the other Ark members who died in the crash.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: In comparison to Jaha Diana is very popular with the working class of The Ark and she uses said popularity in order to gain her own loyal supporters and attempt to steal the dropship herself.

[[folder:Shumway]]
!!Commander Shumway
->'''Played by:''' Creator/TerryChen

A high-ranking officer of the Ark's guard, Shumway was part of Diana's plot to hijack the dropship and leave the Ark with a select group of loyalists. To that end, he arranged for Bellamy to attempt the assassination of Chancellor Jaha.
----
* AssholeVictim: Nobody gave a crap that he was killed.
* CorruptCop: Some members of the Ark guard justify brutal actions for the greater good or as part of survival with a limited air supply. Shumway's just an asshole.
* {{Jerkass}}: Actively supports killing off a portion of the Ark's population in secret in order to conserve oxygen, manipulates teenagers into committing murder, and plots with Diana to steal the dropship with people loyal to them only and leave the rest of the Ark's population to die in space. Suffice to say, Shumway is not a very nice guy.
* ManipulativeBastard: Gets Bellamy to assassinate Jaha in exchange for getting to go with The 100 to the surface and protect his sister. Shumway also convinces Dax to kill Bellamy in exchange for ensuring his mother gets to be on the dropship to Earth.
* NeverSuicide: Sydney has him killed and makes his death look like a suicide.
* SmugSnake: He's far more confident in his position than he should be.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: After Shumway is arrested, Diana arranges for his murder in order to cover up their dealings.

->'''Played by:''' Creator/ChrisBrowning

Father to Clarke and husband to Abby, Jake was an engineer on the Ark. He discovered a flaw in the oxygen systems that eventually led to his execution.
----
* DisappearedDad: To Clarke, who loved him dearly. His death is the reason for her tense relationship with Wells, then with her mother.
* HeKnowsTooMuch: He was executed because someone ratted him out before he was going to reveal the truth about the life support systems, which would have caused mass panic.
* NiceGuy: From what we know of him, he was idealistic, honest, loyal and devoted to his family, and thought that everyone on the Ark should have a fair shot at life.
* PosthumousCharacter: He was executed before he could go public with the failure of the life support systems.
* ThrownOutTheAirlock: He's executed this way.

->'''Played by:''' Monique Ganderton

Mother to Bellamy and Octavia, who was floated once her second child was discovered.
----
* MissingMom: To Bellamy and Octavia, who were both close to her. In "His Sister's Keeper" it's suggested that both of them blame each other for her death in some way.
* PosthumousCharacter: She was killed once Octavia was discovered.
* SexForServices: Heavily implied to have done this in order to know when to hide Octavia and to get Bellamy a spot on the guard.
* ThrownOutTheAirlock: She's executed this way.
