[[foldercontrol]]

!!Main Characters
[[folder:Cale Tomlik]]

The eponymous Bounty Hunter.
----
* {{Acrofatic}}: Downplayed. For someone as heavyset as Cale is, he rarely lets his weight slow him down. That being said, it's highly unlikely he would've caught [[FragileSpeedster Milz Dillvor]] after she tried to escape if he hadn't handcuffed her and shot her in the leg first.
* AntiHero: Cale is not a nice person, and isn't shy about letting others know this. He doesn't care about breaking the law, he's willing to accept collateral damage--even if he's directly involved--and he'll do anything he can to catch his targets.
* ArtificialLimbs: His right arm isn't real. It's composed entirely of metallic components with fake flesh and fur hiding it to match the rest of his fur color.
* BigBeautifulMan: Cale is noticeably chubby, something [[ChubbyChaser Shannon]], Wyatt, and (less humorously) Gobor point out and find very attractive in Cale.
* BountyHunter: Obviously.
* CatchPhrase: "Specify."
* CatsAreMean: Downplayed. Cale is a lion and he isn't the nicest of anthros, but he still cares for his partner Stollar, and he tries to help those in need whenever he can.
* CharacterDevelopment: Started out relatively stoic, cold-hearted, and reckless in the first few chapters. Gradually softened up and grew more emotionally-attached to Stollar, and he TookALevelInKindness and learned from his mistakes to minimize collateral damage.
* EyeScream: His left eye is cybernetic. This is revealed towards the end of chapter 2 where he casually removes it from his eye socket with his bare fingers.
* {{Gasshole}}: Downplayed. Cale doesn't wander around farting and/or burping all of the time, but there are multiple points in the story where he shamelessly passes gas in public.
* GoodIsNotNice: Cale doesn't mind putting innocents in harm's way, as demonstrated when he takes Shannon hostage. He's also fine with abusing criminals even when they've already surrendered and doesn't even try to save people if he knows he can't, as shown in chapter 8.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Cale is somewhat anti-social and has a [[GallowsHumor depraved sense of humor]]. Nevertheless, he's still the hero of the story and he does shown concern for the people close to him.
* MadeOfIron: Cale should've died ''years ago''. Throughout the story, he's beaten up, assaulted, shot, loses teeth, lacerated, and at one point, [[spoiler:gets raped by Gobor Grizzer]]. Somehow he still manages to mostly function like every other anthro and continues to hunt down criminals. This is all on top of the fact that he's been slowly deteriorating thanks to a pathogen that's destroying his insides.
* ManlyGay: Cale is a very strong, muscular, chubby lion who's also openly homosexual.
* ManlyTears: He starts sobbing at the end of chapter 17 while he and Stollar are lamenting about writing an autobiography before Cale passes away.
* NotSoStoic: He spends most of the story with a straight face, but he does show emotion whenever his buttons are pushed and sometimes gets teary-eyed whenever he thinks about his former lover.
* PottyFailure: He suffers from incontinence, and spends a chunk of the story wearing (and using) adult diapers. Chapter 6 has him crapping his shorts onscreen while he's chasing after Milz Dillvor.
* RudeHeroNiceSidekick: Cale is very blunt and doesn't mind putting innocents or criminals in danger so long as he'll accomplish his missions in the long run. Stollar, meanwhile, is much kinder and tries to avoid civilian casualties, and repeatedly chews out Cale whenever civilians are harmed under his watch.
* SleevesAreForWimps: Cale always wears open vests with no shirt underneath. The only time he doesn't is when he's in gym attire, and even then, he's wearing a tank-top.
* StoutStrength: Definitely. While Cale does look chubby, he's also very muscular. This is shown in full glory in chapter 12 when he's fighting Gobor Grizzer and he manages to lift him off his footpaws and slam him to the floor like a wrestler.
* {{Troll}}: Despite his dry humor, Cale sometimes acts childish to his foes. After capturing Milz, who is a rabbit, the food he offers for her to eat is a carrot. And after he captures Dr. Oblingor, he lets him play with a puppet--and then crushes it in front of him. There's also a point where Cale hides in a lawyer's bathroom and holds him at gunpoint ''while he's on the toilet''.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Stollar. Cale always teases Stollar to try and get him angry for his amusement, but he still cares deeply about his feelings.
* YouNeedABreathMint: Multiple characters tell Cale that he's got bad breath. Justified though, because the pathogen Cale was exposed to is rotting his body's insides, including his gums.
* YourDaysAreNumbered: Cale is slowly dying from a pathogen that's causing his organs to fail.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Stollar]]

Cale Tomlik's partner.
----
* BadassBookworm: Stollar isn't as combat skilled as Stollar, but he's still smart enough to use his knowledge to get out of perilous situations. Chapter 11 shows him [[spoiler:escaping from an interrogation room by subduing an anthro using nothing but a chair, a table, and a precise kick to the gut. ''While he's handcuffed'']].
* BlackEyesOfCrazy: Averted. His pupils are red and his sclerae are black, but he's perfectly sane and is one of the protagonists.
* BringMyBrownPants: [[spoiler:In chapter 16, Stollar gets involved in a massive gunfight while chasing after a spaceship and riding a motorcycle. ''All at the same time''. He's so pumped on adrenaline that he shits himself from the stress of the situation, and doesn't even notice until Styx points it out]].
* CharacterDevelopment: Started out as nothing but Cale's lackey who spent his time sitting out on missions and frequently criticizing Cale for his bad decisions. He gradually TookALevelInBadass and joined Cale on his ground missions, and he grew closer to Cale and became his best friend after the two of them spent more personal time together.
* FragileSpeedster: Stollar is very swift and is smart enough to fight off someone like [[TheBrute Gobor]] [[MightyGlacier Grizzer]] without immediately dying in chapter 12. But due to his small body, all of Gobor's attacks that do land severely damage Stollar.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Cale. He cares very deeply about him--both as a partner and on a personal level. Even Cale, despite actually being gay, doesn't see Stollar as a love interest, just a friend he can confide in.
* MissionControl: Initially started out as this in the first few chapters, providing Cale with information about his targets while he was on the ground. He joins Cale in his missions as of chapter 10.
* MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily: Stollar has no less than fifty teeth in his mouth--all of which are shown whenever he grins. It's mentioned that alopids can grow upwards of ''eighty'' teeth.
* OnlySaneMan: Stollar is usually the only person to repeatedly point out how insane or poorly-planned some of Cale's tactics are. He's also the one person who ''thinks'' before he acts, and tries to analyze situations before confronting them blindly.
* RudeHeroNiceSidekick: Stollar is much nicer and more optimistic than Cale is. He also isn't okay with sacrificing civilians and tries to save anyone in danger, regardless of the circumstances.
* TookALevelInBadass: Started off as nothing more than Cale's MissionControl. Gradually joined Cale on his missions in the field and personally helped him gun down hostiles. He was even the one who [[spoiler:destroyed a spaceship carrying several canisters of chemical gas, and he had no one to help him except for Styx]].
* TheToothHurts: [[spoiler:Several of his teeth are pulled out with pliers in chapter 11]].
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Cale. The two of them constantly banter back and forth, but genuinely care for one another.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: He never once wears a shirt throughout the story.

[[/folder]]

!!Quintuple Cartel Leaders
[[folder:The Baron]]

The leader of the cartel. [[spoiler:His real name is Olly Kurrmor]].
----
* AintTooProudToBeg: [[spoiler:He tearfully begs Douglas Kevro to spare him when the shark enters his prison cell and is about to kill him. He doesn't]].
* BadBoss: In chapter 18, [[spoiler:the Baron destroys all of his personal bases of operations with explosives, killing dozens of his loyal and competent minions]].
* BigBad: He runs the cartel and oversees most of what the other four heads do. He's also responsible for ordering the heads around and keeping his organization in line.
* DeathByIrony: [[spoiler:The Baron was a major leader of a criminal organization who tended to kill anyone who outlived their usefulness. He's killed by Douglas Kevro--another leader of a criminal organization--because he saw that the Baron outlived his usefulness]].
* EnfantTerrible: The Baron showed his sociopathic behavior even as a pup. He murdered another cub just because he wouldn't share a popsicle with him.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: The Baron doesn't understand why Cale and Stollar care about morals, because he personally considers them to be shackles restraining people from doing what they wanna do or taking what they want to take.
* EvilIsPetty:
** As a pup, he killed a cub by pushing him into the middle of a busy street just so he could steal a popsicle from him.
** In chapter 18, [[spoiler:he blows up many of his establishments and has dozens of his own employees slaughtered just so he could get arrested knowing that Cale and the IGPA wouldn't be able to destroy his "empire" before he could on his own]].
--> '''The Baron''': "Can't burn ashes, can you?"
* FaceDeathWithDignity: [[spoiler:DoubleSubversion. When the Baron realizes Douglas Kevro is about to kill him, he starts begging for his life. But when he understands that nothing he says will spare his life, he calmly tells Doug to go ahead and kill him]].
* ManlyTears: He sheds a few tears at the beginning of chapter 18 while he's suffering an existential crisis and knows he's already lost.
* AMillionIsAStatistic: How he justifies trying to destroy a whole moon. There's ''trillions'' of souls in the galaxy, so he has no reason to care if hundreds of millions of people on some unnamed planet are killed.
* NoNameGiven: His real name is never revealed in the story. [[spoiler:Until chapter 19. It's Olly Kurrmor]].
* NonActionBigBad: Subverted. Despite spending most of the story having his minions do his dirty work, chapter 18 shows him killing several highly-trained IGPA agents with little trouble. He even holds his own against Cale in a knife fight and nearly kills him.
* NotSoStoic: He spends most of the story with a calm demeanor, but when he gradually loses control of his plans, he becomes visibly angrier and more unhinged.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: He spends a majority of the story giving out orders and conducting business deals inside of his offices in his tower.
* [[SharpDressedMan Sharp Dressed Fox]]: He's always wearing a clean and formal white suit. [[spoiler:Except in the final chapter when he's in prison]].
* SlashedThroat: [[spoiler:How Douglas kills him]].
* SmugSnake: The Baron is smart and resourceful, definitely, but he's incapable of adjusting his plans whenever anything goes wrong and expects for any missteps to naturally correct themselves. When they don't, the Baron unsurprisingly has a fit and blames everyone ''but'' himself, never owning up to his own incompetence.
* TheSociopath: He sees everyone in the cartel as mere business partners, not allies or friends. Even after Milz and Dr. Oblingor are taken into custody, he's only concerned about making sure his plans aren't going awry, and even refers to Milz as being an "asset."
* SoftSpokenSadist: He rarely seems to raise his voice, even when he's frustrated over events not going his way. He also has no problem with allowing hundreds of millions of innocents die just to satisfy his employer's demands.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: The Baron treats everyone as an asset. If they become a liability, he doesn't hesitate to have them killed. [[spoiler:This bites him in the ass in the final chapter, where Douglas Kevro kills him because he allowed his entire organization to fall]].

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Kolson Arcornoc]]

Also known as "The Mule," Kolson runs the Cartel's smuggling operations.
----
* AffablyEvil: Kolson is one of the kindest Cartel leaders in the organization and treats his cronies well, despite him being a big-time smuggler. [[spoiler:Even after he's caught by Cale, he holds no ill-will towards the anthro and fully understands his situation]].
* BenevolentBoss: He's rather calm and friendly to his associates, even when they're not taking their jobs seriously. He even allows one of his men to retire peacefully.
* TheDragon: He seems to be the one member the Baron trusts with his operations the most. He's also paramount to the schemes within the story, since Kolson and his crew have to safely smuggle the chemical weapons off Drorix and to their target.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Kolson seems to hate human and/or anthro trafficking. When Gobor delivers nearly two dozens wounded teenagers to his base, Kolson immediately tells one of his guards to take them to a hospital, as opposed to "selling their asses on the streets."
* FameThroughInfamy: Kolson started off as nothing more than a typical courier who shipped drugs around for drug lords. Various criminals were so impressed with his work that they started hiring him for their operations, and even gave him his own crew. Eventually, the Baron found him, and he evolved into one of the biggest smugglers in the galaxy.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: Initially, Kolson had a normal job selling produce in a grocery store. After he quit his job and got involved in the drug business, he later joined the Quintuple Cartel and turned into a galactic arms and drugs smuggler.
* GracefulLoser: [[spoiler:While Kolson is upset that Cale killed his entire entourage, he accepts his defeat without hesitation once Cale has him cornered]].
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: [[spoiler:After Cale kills his personal bodyguard and gets him to toss his weapons away, he surrenders and is taken into Cale's custody, and he doesn't try to put up another fight since he knows he's already lost]].
* MirrorCharacter: Kolson is no different from Cale Tomlik. Both of them care about their associates. Both of them are just doing their jobs the best they can. Both of them have committed horribly atrocities in their past. Even Cale doesn't see Kolson as a "bad person." He just sees Kolson as a reflection of himself.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Gobor Grizzer]]

Also known as "The Terrorist," Gobor is the Chief of Police in Knochen City, and conducts various terrorist attacks for the cartel--or on his own.
----
* AlliterativeName: '''G'''obor '''G'''rizzer.
* BadBoss: In chapter 11, he [[spoiler:orders one of his men to set off a chemical weapon inside of a basketball stadium, while he's still inside. He's indifferent when he starts dying from the chemical's effects]]. Not long after, he shoots one of his own officers in the head just so he'll have a better chance at shooting Cale.
* BringMyRedJacket: He wears a red vest and red trousers, and ends up getting seriously wounded in chapter 12. Gobor was fully aware of this when he found himself applying pressure to a bullet wound using his vest.
--> '''Gobor, after rolling his eyes''': "[[LampshadeHanging Of course.]]"
* TheBrute: The strongest and most malicious member of the cartel. Gobor has no problem raping anyone he finds attractive and enjoys causing terror in Knochen City for his own amusement.
* CripplingCastration: [[spoiler:Cale shoots him in the groin in chapter 12, resulting in him losing his penis and his testicles becoming useless]].
* DepravedHomosexual: He's a proud homosexual, and he's also a SerialRapist who targets anyone he fancies.
* DirtyCop: He's the Chief of Police in Knochen City, and is also involved in the Cartel's schemes.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Gobor is stunned when Stollar tells him that, despite all the secrets he's kept from him, he ''still'' trusts Cale Tomlik. When Gobor angrily asks him why, Stollar calmly tells him that Cale has ''shown'' him that he's trustworthy, while all Gobor has done was show him that he's a repulsive rapist and doesn't deserve to be a member of the police force.
* HateSink: He's a childish, loud-mouthed, disgusting DirtyCop who rapes anyone he wants to and is incredibly petty. It's evident he was written this way on purpose.
* IronicHell: [[spoiler:Gobor spent his life raping people while maintaining his authority as a police officer. As of chapter 12, he's going back to the same prison he came from, and he'll no longer be able to rape a single person ever again because his penis was shot off. The final chapter shows him being sodomized by another rapist while he pathetically moans and cries the whole time]].
* LaserGuidedKarma: In chapter 11, Gobor forced Cale to eat his feces and shortly afterwards, [[spoiler:he raped Cale]]. In the final chapter, [[spoiler:a canine prisoner named Larry Wentworth takes a shit in front of Gobor and tells him to eat it. He does, and then Larry rapes Gobor afterwards]].
* MightyGlacier: He's a burly dog who can take a fierce beating, as shown in chapter 12. Even after the tremendous beatdown Stollar and Cale unleash upon Gobor, he ''still'' manages to beat both of them to the ground, to the point where [[spoiler:Cale would've died if Stollar hadn't slid his gun towards him when Gobor had his back turned]].
* SerialRapist: As a teenager, Gobor raped his entire football team. When he became Chief of Police in Knochen City, he started raping ''anyone'' he wanted to since he had the power and authority to do so.
* SirSwearsALot: It's rare for Gobor to go more than two sentences without saying "fuck" or some other swear word.
* SleevesAreForWimps: Gobor seems to enjoy wearing vests with no shirt underneath.
* SmellyFeetGag: Apparently he's got nasty foot odor, as noted when he puts his footpaws up on a table in chapter 4.
--> '''Gobor''': "Hey, Doc! Give 'em a whiff for me! Show Baron that them shits don’t stank!"
--> '''Dr. Oblingor''': "I don't need to; I can smell them very well from here."
* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler:In the final chapter, Gobor gets sodomized in prison and his previous sadistic demeanor devolves into him sobbing and finally realizing that he's lost everything and he'll end up being someone else's "bitch."]]
* YouNeedABreathMint: In chapter 4, Milz snidely tells Gobor that he's scheduling for him to go see a dentist, because she's tired of smelling "a garbage truck or rotten potatoes" whenever he talks. Gobor himself later admits he doesn't bother brushing his teeth.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dr. Vogar Oblingor]]

Also known as "The Chemist," Dr. Oblingor runs his own secret laboratory in Demyl Swamp, where he conducts several illegal experiments and creates chemical weapons.
----
* BodyHorror: [[spoiler:When he transforms in chapter 8, his scales shed and reveals a blobby brown exterior dripping fluids everywhere. His claws break off, his bony spinal plates fall off, he grows itchy boils that pop and leak pus, and then his ''teeth and eyes fall out'']].
* TheEvilGenius: He's the smartest member of the cartel and usually handles all of the scientific experimentation the Baron needs from him.
* EyeScream: [[spoiler:In chapter 8, Vogar's eyes detach from their optic nerves and roll out of the sockets onto the floor]].
* FanDisservice: Vogar is so fat that most of the shirts he wears end up showing off part of his belly, and he rarely bothers tucking them in.
* FatBastard: The doctor's a very plump cronok who can't wear his regular clothing without his gut showing. He's also a diabolical scientist who thinks everyone is a puppet he can use for his own means.
* FateWorseThanDeath: [[spoiler:He's transformed into an eyeless, molting creature too weak to even talk or walk properly, and Cale tells him he's going to be sent to a laboratory no different from the one he ran where he'll be painfully experimented on. The final chapter confirms this]].
* HateSink: He's a very, very smug MadScientist who talks to ''everyone'' in a condescending tone and acts like he's better than all those around him.
* MadScientist: Double subversion. He likes experimenting on anthros for nefarious reasons, but he hates science. Chapter 8 reveals Vogar wanted to be a puppeteer, but no one found interest in it. Instead, he decided to create his own kind of "puppets" in the form of SuperSoldier anthros he could sell as living weapons.
* PainfulTransformation: See BodyHorror listed above.
* ThePigPen: He has an odor problem and admits to one of his subordinates that hygiene is a waste of time.
* SmugSnake: Exaggerated. Because Vogar is much smarter than most, he ''thinks'' he's better than everyone in every single aspect, and ''loves'' to rub it into people's faces. It's no surprise that this behavior results in his downfall when he underestimates Cale.
* TongueTrauma: [[spoiler:In the final chapter, his tongue is ripped out while he's being experimented on]].
* TheToothHurts: [[spoiler:In chapter 8, his teeth loosen and fall out during his transformation sequence]].
* YouNeedABreathMint: A couple characters have noted that the doctor's breath is "deplorable." Being ThePigPen probably doesn't help.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Milz Dillvor]]

Also known as "The Assassin," Milz Dillvor lives her life like any ordinary anthro in order to cover up that she's really one of the Cartel's best assassins.
----
* DarkActionGirl: Subverted. She's a villaions character, sure, but she's not a sociopath, nor is she heartless.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Her FatalFlaw. The only reason why Cale catches her is because she willingly surrenders herself to him after he takes her best friend, Shannon, hostage. Also, the first thing she does after getting caught is tearfully call her parents and tell them to go into hiding so the Cartel won't find and kill them.
* FragileSpeedster: Milz is the weakest member of the Cartel, but she's also the most agile thanks to her LeParkour skills.
* KickTheSonOfABitch: In chapter 1, Milz was hired by a widow to murder a bull named Boris Trovmar. It's later revealed that Trovmar sexually harassed her best friend and was involved in embezzlement, so she was more than happy to kill him.
* LeParkour: She's very agile and speedy, and she uses these skills to climb up buildings and sprint across [=LynKaster=] City to reach her targets in a matter of minutes.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She's the only female member of the five heads of the Cartel, and she's quite proud of her profession.
* TheyLookJustLikeEveryoneElse: There's nothing sinister or eye-popping about Milz. She's just an ordinary anthro who hangs out with her friends and exercises at the gym like many other anthros in [=LynKaster=] City.
* WorfHadTheFlu: In chapter 6, she's caught by Cale quite easily, despite having impressive parkour skills. This was mostly because she had been handcuffed and shot in the leg, thereby limiting how well she could run.

[[/folder]]

!!Other Cartel Associates
[[folder:Ekkli]]

One of Gobor's police officers.
----
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Stollar stomps on his throat twice and crushes his windpipe. He then waits as Ekkli suffocates and chokes to death very slowly.
* MauveShirt: He has a bit more characterization and lines compared to everyone else in Gobor's crew. But he still dies fairly early on after his introduction.
* ReptilesAreAbhorrent: He's a monitor lizard, and one of Gobor's more immoral officers.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Corrvin]]

Another member within Gobor's police force.
----
* BoomHeadshot: Gets shot in the head by his own boss.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Corrvin is visibly disgusted when Gobor forces Cale to eat his excrement, and he worryingly points out that Gobor endangered and presumably killed [[spoiler:several of his own officers when he deployed the chemical weapon inside the basketball stadium]].
* MauveShirt: Like Ekkli, he's got more characterization compared to the rest of his officers, but he doesn't last long.
* PigMan: He's a giant anthropomorphic boar.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Torvo & Harris]]

Two couriers who work with Kolson's smuggling ring.
----
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: Both of them are killed in a matter of seconds by Carlos and Cale. They're never brought up again afterwards.
* {{Gasshole}}: While he doesn't fart onscreen, it's noted that Torvo suffers from chronic flatulence due to his diet.
* MauveShirt: They get a few more lines than Kolson's other couriers, but they're still killed very easily like any normal RedShirt would be.
* ThePigPen: Harris has an odor problem and doesn't like to shower, which Torvo and Kolson repeatedly joke about.
* PunchClockVillain: Like all of Kolson's minions, they're not outwardly malicious or sadistic. They're just doing their jobs.
* ThoseTwoGuys: Both of them are always seen working alongside each other.
* VitriolicBestBuds: They're always arguing with one another, even though they don't mind working with each other at all times.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Gustave Lekkil]]

One of the secretaries working for the Baron.
----
* AmbiguouslyEvil: It's never confirmed if Gustave was directly involved in the Baron's illegal activities or if he was only involved with the Baron's legal assets.
* BoomHeadshot: The Baron blows Gustave's brains out after shooting him in the mouth.
* MauveShirt: He's one of the nicer minions in the Cartel organization and he's ignorant in terms of his knowledge about humans. Not much else is known about him.
* NiceGuy: A very friendly beaver who cares about his boss's well-being.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Invoked. The Baron asks Gustave to tell him about his life, and ''then'' he kills him, just to prove that Gustave's life doesn't matter and that he'll ultimately have no impact on the universe. [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall Admittedly, he's not all that wrong]].

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Franz]]

A former member of the Cartel who retired from Kolson's services.
----
* AlcoholInducedStupidity: Franz never would've betrayed Kolson or anyone within the Cartel...while sober. So Rellis gets him drunk, and then entices him by having sex with him, which results in him giving up the location of Kolson's warehouse.
* ChekhovsGunman: He has a brief scene in chapter 1, then never shows up again, despite being mentioned multiple times afterwards. When Cale and Stollar need to find Kolson's warehouse, guess who gives up its location?
* KarmaHoudini: He's the only notable member within the Cartel who avoided death or incarceration.
* PunchClockVillain: He's no different from the rest of Kolson's minions, all of whom are just working for him like they would any other job.
* {{Retirony}}: Subverted. He isn't killed or caught by the police after he leaves Kolson's crew.
* StraightGay: It's never openly confirmed, but Franz is homosexual. He used to have "relations" with Rellis Rottili, and in chapter 15, Rellis got Franz to give up the location of Kolson's warehouse by getting him drunk and having sex with him off-screen.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Gaines]]

The liaison for the Quintuple Cartel.
----
* KilledOffScreen: He's killed at some point after chapter 6 by some of Gobor's minions. Stollar doesn't even find out he died up until chapter 9.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Gaines doesn't have a huge role in the story, but he was the one who gave up Gobor, Milz, and Kolson's identities, and informed Cale that Dr. Oblingor was in Demyl Swamp.
* UndignifiedDeath: He's raped in the showers while in prison, and then stabbed repeatedly in the back. ''Off-screen''.
* WouldRatherSuffer: When Cale takes Gaines to Rellis Rottili, the rat grosses out Gaines by flaunting his fat ass about, and showing off his ''smegma-coated penis''. Gaines wastes no time giving up information about the Cartel, despite knowing he'll end up in prison or dead.

[[/folder]]

!!Markilia Defense Services
[[folder:Carlos]]

Leader of a small unit of private military contractors in Markilia.
----
* CatsAreMean: He's a white tiger, and he doesn't care about anyone's emotions or personal lives, just about completing his missions.
* CreepyMonotone: Everytime he speaks, his voice carries the same deadpan tone, even when he's agitated.
* {{Foil}}: To Cale Tomlik. Both of them are felines, and both of them are basically working for the highest bidder--but that's where their similarities end. Carlos is a sociopath who doesn't care about his partner Wyatt--or anyone else, while Cale cares very deeply for Stollar and his former lover Keevonu. Carlos doesn't care who he has to harm or kill so long as he'll complete his missions, whereas Cale at least tries to avoid collateral damage unless he knows it's unavoidable. Carlos is emotionless and has no sense of humor, while Cale is a {{Troll}} who thoroughly enjoys DarkComedy, and he isn't afraid to occasionally show his true feelings.
* LackOfEmpathy: Doesn't seem to value his allies' emotions. When Cale explains to him that he ''needs'' to capture Kolson after going into his backstory, he disregards him completely and still thinks he's a liability. And when [[spoiler:Geoff, Caleb and Tony are all killed]], he shrugs off their deaths, and even forgets one of their names.
* ThePigPen: A few characters mention that Carlos has an odor problem. Carlos admits he doesn't have time to bathe, brush his teeth, or even change his clothes "unless the mission calls for it."
* SociopathicHero: He and his unit assist Cale and Stollar with assaulting Kolson's compound. Nevertheless, Carlos is only in it for the money, and even threatens to kill Cale should he screw up and become a liability in the field.
* TheStoic: He shows no emotion, except for when he's shouting orders during gunfights.
* TheUnfettered: Carlos' top priority? Accomplishing his missions. He doesn't care what he has to do or who he has to kill in order to finish them.
* YouNeedABreathMint: Stollar ''immediately'' recoils when he catches wind of his breath when they first meet, and asks Cale if he noticed it. He noticed, and Wyatt in particular jokes that Carlos can knock out the enemy just by opening his mouth.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Wyatt]]

Carlos' partner.
----
* BigBeautifulMan: He's not as fat as Cale, but is still noticeable overweight. After he and Cale have sex with each other, Cale tells Wyatt not to lose any weight, because he likes how chubby he is.
* FriendsWithBenefits: With Cale. After they have sex, they both agree that they can't be lovers because of their careers and because Cale will be dead in a year or two anyway. But they still wanna befriend one another and have sex when they have spare time.
* ManlyGay: He's a chubby, muscular, homosexual Saint Bernard who's also a mercenary.
* MirrorCharacter: He's very similar to Cale Tomlik. Both of them work as freelancers. Both of them have a vague DarkAndTroubledPast. Both of them have a partner who behave the exact opposite way they do. And both of them are ManlyGay.
* NoSocialSkills: He's socially awkward, especially when it comes to talking about personal issues. Even when he asks Cale for his phone number so they could go on a date in the future, he stutters repeatedly.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Geoff]]

A hare within Carlos' unit.
----
* ForgottenFallenFriend: [[spoiler:Carlos forgets Geoff's name when he tells Cale that he lost three of his men. When Cale calls him out on this, Carlos just shrugs and ignores him]].
* MauveShirt: He's very deadpan and is shown to be skilled with electronics. Besides that, he doesn't have much characterization, and [[spoiler:he dies in the second chapter he's in]].
* TheStoic: He's as emotionless as Carlos is.
* SurprisinglySuddenDeath: [[spoiler:Dies with very little warning in chapter 16]].
* YourHeadASplode: [[spoiler:His skull is turned to mulch by laser fire after someone shoots him in the head with a railgun]].

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Caleb & Tony]]

Two other mercenaries in Carlos' unit.
----
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: Both of them die off-screen, and their deaths are glossed over completely.
* KilledOffscreen: During the shootout at Kolson's warehouse, both of them are alive and well. When all the chaos ends, Carlos mentions that both of them perished at some point.
* RedShirt: Neither of them has a single line in the story and they're only mentioned a couple times. They're later killed with little fanfare.
* ThoseTwoGuys: They're always mentioned working alongside each other.

[[/folder]]

!!Other Characters
[[folder:Drake Keevonu]]

Cale Tomlik's former lover, and a former member of the Cephalopodan Strikers.
----
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: Prior to their breakup, all Drake cared about was ensuring Cale lived a happy life with him.
* ManlyGay: Similar to Cale, he's a muscular former mercenary who is also homosexual.
* ManlyTears: He starts crying after he discovers that Cale got infected with a lethal pathogen that has no known cure.
* NiceGuy: Arguably the nicest character in the whole story. He cared deeply for Cale Tomlik and helped him start his career in bounty hunting.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Drake only appears in flashbacks scattered throughout the story. But if it hadn't been for him, Cale never would've become a bounty hunter, and he wouldn't be taking on the Quintuple Cartel in the present.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Rellis Rottili]]

One of the three leaders of the Rottili Mafia criminal organization.
----
* AffablyEvil: He's a jolly, understanding, forgiving person to talk to, despite being one of the three heads of the Rottili Mafia.
* AlliterativeName: '''R'''ellis '''R'''otilli. He just so happens to be a '''r'''at as well.
* CigarChomper: He's rarely seen without a fat cigar in his mouth.
* DepravedHomosexual: Subverted. Rellis initially ''appears'' to be this in his opening chapter, with how he allegedly threatened to rape Cale and Gaines by showing off his ass and penis. Turns out [[{{Troll}} he was trying to gross them out]] and had no intention of raping either of them.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Rellis despises rapists, especially people like Gobor Grizzer, since they do nothing but reinforce the DepravedHomosexual stereotype he's sick and tired of being labelled as, even though he never once raped anyone. When he finds out Cale and Stollar arrested Gobor, he's absolutely enthusiastic over what they did to him.
* FatBastard: Noted for how obese he is, as well as for his prominent role when it comes to arms dealing for the mafia.
* {{Gayngster}}: He's openly homosexual and a well-known, fearsome gangster.
* LargeHam: Enjoys being the center of attention whenever he's the one in the room talking.
* ThePigPen: In chapter 3, Cale ''smells'' him before he sees him, and the narration repeatedly mentions that the rat cares little for personal hygiene.
* {{Troll}}: He knows he's ugly and disgusting and is proud of it. So he intentionally grosses out people by showing off his fat body--or even his copulatory organs--just to amuse himself by their reactions.
* YouDirtyRat: He's a filthy rat who's also a high-ranking member of a mafia organization.
* YouNeedABreathMint: Cale and Stollar both tell Rellis to his face that he's got bad breath. [[InsultBackfire Not that he seems to care]].

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Styxxaccer "Styx" Saxxmaxinmax]]

A chirop who helps Cale, Stollar, and Carlos' unit assault Kolson's compound.
----
* AcidAttack: Styx has the ability to vomit up acid powerful enough to dissolve armor.
* AlliterativeName: '''S'''tyxxaccer '''S'''axxmaxinmax.
* BatOutOfHell: Styx is a massive, bat-like alien who has the ability to vomit up acid and enjoys tearing people to shreds. Thankfully, he's working ''with'' the protagonists, not against them.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: He's a rowdy bat still in his teenage years who enjoys fooling around and acting like a party animal. He's also a deadly fighter more than capable of taking care of himself and killing his foes when need be.
* HeroicComedicSociopath: Downplayed. Styx treats Cale, Stollar, and Carlos' allies kindly for the most part--short of a snarky remark here and there. But when it comes to Kolson's minions, he has no trouble brutally murdering and mutilating them, and he typically does so in a darkly comical or audacious way.
* ImAHumanitarian: In chapter 16, Styx kills some chirops off-screen and, while chewing on chirop flesh, asks Stollar if cannibalism means eating ''dead'' flesh of the same species as you. Stollar says yes. [[RefugeInAudacity And then Styx keeps eating]].
* LargeHam: Very, ''very'' noisy and obnoxious, and he enjoys letting everyone know whenever he enters a room.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Yordin Mannil]]

A crocodile who lives deep within Demyl Swamp, and one of the scientists working for Dr. Vogar Oblingor.
----
* BrutalHonesty: Yordin freely shares whatever is on his mind and expresses whatever opinion he has on others, regardless if other people want to hear them or not.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Despite Yordin's crass and blunt attitude, he's not hostile or a sociopath, and he hates how so many people around universe harm and kill others just because they don't share the same viewpoints on divisive topics.
* TheHermit: He lives in the middle of Demyl Swamp, away from the public.
* {{Jerkass}}: He's openly homophobic, transphobic, and he doesn't care about anyone else's feelings besides his own.
* JerkassHasAPoint: Yordin hates how society constantly keeps secrets and how most people aren't capable of telling the truth. Given that BitchInSheepsClothing is a thing, and that some of the people he's worked with turned out to be who they said they weren't, he's got every reason to feel this way.
* RetiredBadass: He used to be a sergeant in the army.
* SoleSurvivor: He's the only one of over ''seven hundred'' of Dr. Oblingor's associates who wasn't killed or turned into a mindless anthro by the cronok's experiments.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: Yordin and Dr. Vogar Oblingor used to actually enjoy each other's mannerisms, to the point where the doctor hired Yordin ''because'' he never lied about how he felt. But when Yordin realized Dr. Oblingor was killing dozens of innocent civilians, their friendship ended, and he teamed up with Cale to bring him to justice.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dr. Goode]]

Cale Tomlik's doctor.
----
* DrJerk: Dr. Goode always speaks to Cale in a smug, condescending tone and only seems to care about his own career. He even tries swindle more money from Cale by holding his pills hostage in an attempt to get triple the pills' value.
* PetTheDog: Dr. Goode sounds genuinely upset and tries to comfort Cale after he tells him that [[spoiler:it's too late for him to cure his illness]].
* SmugSnake: Thinks he knows how to negotiate and bargain with people like Cale so he can get more money than he deserves. In reality he's a weasel who's just trying to earn more money illegally.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Shannon Guleen]]

Milz Dillvor's best friend.
----
* ChubbyChaser: She likes her men thick, and tells Cale that people of his girth are cute.
* GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak: Compared to Milz, she's a lot more feminine and likes spending her free time watching movies and admiring chubby, thick men. She also enjoys jogging and exercising at the gym with her best friend.
* NiceGirl: She's very friendly, and doesn't even get mad at Cale when he intentionally bumps into her and spills tea on her clothes.
* SheepInSheepsClothing: Cale immediately assumes she's working with the Cartel just like Milz is. As it turns out, no. She really ''is'' just a regular nice anthro who just so happens to be best friends with an assassin.
* SpeakIllOfTheDead: When Cale reveals that Milz killed Boris Trovmar, she's indifferent over his death, and says that he got what he deserved.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Baross Kullwin]]

An agent working within the IGPA, and Cale and Stollar's handler.
----
* BoomHeadshot: [[spoiler:The Baron shoots him in the head immediately after he wanders into his office]].
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: [[spoiler:Dies very unceremoniously in chapter 18. Even Cale emotionlessly glosses over his death]].
* FailedASpotCheck: [[spoiler:When Baross enters the Baron's office, he doesn't look ''behind'' the door--and completely misses the Baron, who shoots him in the back of the head]].
* {{Hypocrite}}: Baross chews out Cale and Stollar whenever they do anything illegal, yet he never acknowledges whenever ''he'' does something illegal or morally shady to get the results he wants.
* KilledMidSentence: [[spoiler:He's shot while he's verbally pondering where the Baron is]].
* ALighterShadeOfGray: Baross isn't above having people like Cale do his dirty work, and he even hires a group of mercenaries to help Cale kill all of Kolson's minions. Nevertheless, he's still a law enforcement officer whose job is to uphold the law.
* SmugSnake: He thinks he's better than Cale and Stollar and always talks to them in a condescending way, which usually leads to the two of them reminding Baross that he needs them so the IGPA can capture people like the Cartel leaders "legally."
