* BigScrewedUpFamily: Even before the Tragedy of Sablier, their required LawfulNeutral position led them to do some pretty messed up things for the sake of [[WellIntentionedExtremist keeping the world balanced and orderly]], including locking up and killing their own family members because an [[HumanoidAbomination old lady]] who lived in their basement told them to.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. They subscribe pretty heavily to MyMasterRightOrWrong, ritually execute beloved family who "threaten the world with their existence," and form contracts with the creatures dwelling in the EldritchLocation they guard.
* TheChosenMany: The reason why they're Baskervilles is not because of blood ties, but rather because of being chosen by the lights of the Abyss, later revealed to be sent by the Jury.
* DarkIsNotEvil: The Baskervilles are strongly associated with [[EldritchLocation the Abyss]], which is populated by [[HumanoidAbomination vari]][[AnimalisticAbomination ous]] [[EldritchAbomination abominations]]. However, they -as a whole- aren't a malicious organization, and actually try to protect the world from the dangers of the Abyss. They aren't precisely ''good'' people, but they're far from evil.
* HeroAntagonist: Zigzagged. They start out the story as menacing assassins, but their actions are given more sympathetic explanations halfway through the story. However, despite their initially noble cause, they're willing to do some seriously shady things to get what they want and don't often care for the human lives it will cost. This becomes important in the climax, where when choosing between Jack's and Oswald's options of how to deal with TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt, the protagonists' TakeAThirdOption, as both Jack's and Oswald's are equally unacceptable to them.
* HeroWithBadPublicity: At first. But they lose their moral high ground pretty quickly in the current era, slipping into WellIntentionedExtremist.
* ItSucksToBeTheChosenOne: Their connection to the Abyss means they distort the world around them, and this is all the more true for those chosen to be Glen Baskerville's vessel. There's a lot of downsides about it not even Baskervilles knew of, too, like the fact that they weren't actually chosen by the Abyss, but by the Juries to act as their personal enforcement squad to kill anything the Jury couldn't control, including members of their own families.
* KickTheDog: After Glen left for Sablier, all of the Baskervilles besides Lottie and Doug [[KickThemWhileTheyAreDown began to beat the captive Break, and even Sharon]].
* SuperToughness: Being more Chain than human, the only powers related to the Abyss can mortally wound them.

!!Glen Baskerville / Oswald Baskerville
->Voiced by: Creator/KisshoTaniyama
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/72072_2152.jpg]]

The enigmatic leader of the Baskervilles and the one who caused the Tragedy of Sabliér. [[SilentScapegoat Or so we thought]]. Based on the Red King from Through the Looking-Glass.

* AloofBigBrother: By circumstance instead of choice. Oswald was a good brother to Lacie when they were kids, but soon after they became Baskervilles, Oswald distanced himself from Lacie both because of his role as Glen's successor and Lacie being ostracized from the clan because of her status as a Child of Ill Omen. While the two never stopped caring about each other, Oswald did nothing to protect Lacie from her fate decided by the Jury and threw her into the Abyss himself. Near the end, Oswald recognizes he had the option of asking Jack to run away with Lacie, but chose against it.
* AmbiguouslyGay: Levi states that he is [[CluelessChickMagnet quite popular with women, but he is either completely unaware of this or doesn't care]]. This is particularly jarring with regards to Lottie's affections, which are rather obvious--once again, he is either completely unaware of her feelings for him or simply doesn't care. Cold, distant Oswald was also unusually attached to Jack, whose friendship he treasured and held on to against his better judgment, and whose betrayal [[JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope pushes him off the slippery slope]]. Lottie herself enviously noted that the only person who could make him smile (other than his sister) was Jack.
* TheAtoner: He attempted to atone for killing Lacie by taking care of her daughter, Alice.
* AwesomeByAnalysis: It was his job to dig up dirt on everyone and anyone before he became Glen. Jack is understandably shocked when Oswald deconstructs and explains his existence to Levi when they first meet.
%%* BadassLongRobe
* BattleButler: To Levi, the previous Glen.
* BigBad: It was assumed that he was the one behind the Tragedy of Sablier until it was revealed Jack was the one who did it, and Glen wasn't all that bad.
* BigBrotherInstinct: He cared a lot about his sister Lacie. Later subverted when he plans to go back to the past and kill her in order to prevent the Tragedy of Sabliér and then DoubleSubverted since at the end he realizes he can't bring himself to kill Lacie.
* ColorCodedEyes: His eyes are violet, which denoted his supernatural status as the head of the Baskervilles.
* TheComicallySerious: Consider how often he keeps his poker face in otherwise hilarious scenes.
* CoolUncle: While he didn't get along with White Alice, Black Alice adored him so much that she named her beloved stuffed rabbit after him.
* CruelMercy: During the Tragedy of Sablier, Miranda was the only non-Baskerville whose life he spared because he deemed that such an evil woman didn't deserve to enter the reincarnation cycle. By leaving her alive when Sablier fell down to the Abyss, Miranda mutated into a Chain.
* CynicismCatalyst: The events of the Tragedy of Sablier, particularly Jack's betrayal, left his spirit extremely hateful. He curses himself for his past naivety in choosing to keep Jack close even though it was clear that man was insane. After he takes full control of Leo's body, Oswald is solely focused on trying to change the past and erase his own mistake.
* DeathOfPersonality: As the consequence of possessing Leo's body, Oswald's consciousness is erased from Glen Baskerville's collective soul.
* DisappearsIntoLight: He dissolves into motes of light after his consciousness is erased from Glen Baskerville's soul.
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: {{Subverted|Trope}}. Glen is initially presented as an ominous and shady man who is supposedly responsible for the Tragedy of Sablier, thus making his black hair and pale skin part of the somber image he's meant to give. Once we finally see how he ''really'' was like in life, Oswald is shown to be a {{stoic}}, but goodhearted and [[EndearinglyDorky dorky]] man.
* EtTuBrute:
** Jack, who he genuinely viewed as his closest friend, betrayed his trust by trying to destroy the world and Oswald got killed by Jack while trying to stop him. Oswald became consumed by hatred of Jack for his betrayal and himself for failing to see said betrayal coming despite the evidence that Jack was untrustworthy.
** Oswald looks very displeased when his servant Gilbert chooses to continue protecting Oz over serving Oswald like in the past. Soon afterwards, Oswald orders the Baskervilles to have Gilbert killed along with Oz.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: After he gives up on trying to kill Lacie in the past, Oswald's consciousness disappears from Leo's body. He quietly accepts his fate and once Lottie promises the Baskervilles will continue to loyally serve Leo, Oswald leaves with a smile.
* TheFaceless: His face is obscured in flashbacks for the majority of the first half of the series. His face is finally revealed in Retrace XXXVII.
* FeatherMotif: Black feathers, like the Five Black-Feathered Chains he controls.
* GrandTheftMe: As of Retrace LXXVIII, Glen's consciousness has fully taken over Leo, now that all Sealing Stones are destroyed. Glen has also remarked that Leo doesn't even have the strength to fight against his influence.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: He becomes disturbingly similar to Jack in his obsession with setting right what Jack did wrong.
* HeroWithBadPublicity: While calling him a 'hero' is stretching it a bit, Oswald wasn't responsible for Sablier falling into the Abyss as everyone believes; Jack was. The truth is Oswald used his five Chains to save the world after Jack severed the Chains that separate the real world from the Abyss. However, the distortion Jack created was so big that Oswald had no option but to concentrate the energy from the Abyss in Sablier and let it fall into the Abyss. He ordered the Baskervilles to massacre all the citizens of Sablier to spare them the FateWorseThanDeath they would have faced if they fell into the Abyss alive and transformed into Chains.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Levi, seemingly, as Oswald was Levi's attendant before the former became Glen. Oswald also seem to feed Levi information pertaining to nobles that attended Baskerville banquets and balls. As the Glen candidate, he was always by Levi's side.
* HiddenDepths: His expressions have now extended to THREE ranges: the poker face, the shocked face and the 'I've just totally lost it' face. We even get a tiny smile now and then. Plus, he genuinely cares for Alice and Gilbert. When he realizes that Sablier will be thrown into the Abyss, he immediately thinks about what he can do to save as many people as possible. Glen has clearly asserted himself as a very different character as opposed to the individual he was first introduced as.
* {{Immortality}}: A mix of BodySurf, LegacyImmortality and FromASingleCell, though the latter doesn't work with Abyss-related powers. Interrupting the ceremony also triggered ResurrectiveImmortality, and subsequently, GrandTheftMe on Leo.
* InTheHood: When he first met Jack, Oswald's face was hidden by a hooded cloak.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Since Lacie was frustrated about always losing at chess, Oswald let her win once just to see Lacie happy. Instead, Lacie felt so insulted when she noticed Oswald went easy on her that she ran away from the Baskerville mansion and refused to go back until Oswald apologized to her.
* IntelligenceEqualsIsolation: Never directly stated, but very much implied. Levi describes him as popular, but Jack says that Glen was often found in solidarity. He composes his own melodies and it appears as though Gilbert often found him in his study whenever he couldn't sleep. Brainy but lonely, our Glen is.
* ItsAllMyFault: He blames himself for Lacie being born a Child of Ill Omen because the successors of Glen Baskerville tend to have Children of Ill Omen as their close relatives.
* ItSucksToBeTheChosenOne: Being the leader of the powerful Baskervilles isn't as great as it sounds. On top of distorting the world around him even more than usual for a Baskerville, poor Oswald was unlucky enough to end up making his sister Lacie a [[ApocalypseMaiden Child of Ill Omen.]] Of course, with the revelation that the Baskervilles were created to kill [[SpannerInTheWorks spanners]] like the Children of Ill Omen, it may well be the other way around.
* LoveMakesYouEvil: It is believed he caused the Tragedy of Sabliér when he lost his love Lacie to the Abyss. Subverted as it turns out that everything that happened to "him" actually happened to ''Jack'' instead.
* MeaningfulName: Think of how it's pronounced: '''Oz'''wald. [[WeNamedTheMonkeyJack It turns out Oz was named after him.]] Plus, Oswald, broken down into its two elements, means 'os' (god) and wald (rule). Oswald has been described as king of the emissaries of the Abyss on occasion and his character is based upon the Red King from Alice in Wonderland.
* MercyKill: Ordered the massacre at Sabliér in a last, desperate attempt to save the citizens from being pulled into the Abyss. If he couldn't save them from the Tragedy, he'd at least save their souls from being cut off from the 100 year cycle of rebirth.
* MistakenForGay: Mentions that he finds Jack fascinating. An amused Levi thought he meant this in a romantic sense.
* MyGreatestFailure: He feels responsible for the Tragedy of Sablier, believing it was "undoubtedly caused by his naivete." There's truth in that since he let Jack regularly interact with the Intention of the Abyss who possessed Alice's body and this allowed Jack to manipulate the Intention into giving him Oz the B-Rabbit so he could make the world fall into the Abyss. Even though Oswald had already noticed there was something dangerously twisted about Jack, he couldn't help but want to maintain their friendship only for it to end up in betrayal. While Oswald claims he wants to kill Lacie in the past to save the world from the damage Jack caused, he's really trying to undo his mistakes and erase his own guilt.
* MySisterIsOffLimits: He knocks Jack out seconds after the latter reunites with and embraces Lacie. In the Pandora Hearts Volume 22 Drama CD, he disapproves of Levi being in love with Lacie.
* NotSoStoic: When he realized Jack was the one attempting to plunge the world into the Abyss, he began screaming at Jack to stop and ''crying.''
* ObliviousToLove: Oswald is completely clueless about the affections of Lottie and Miranda Barma. While the latter may be excusable since she was obsessed with [[CollectorOfTheStrange collecting her]] [[NightmareFetishist love interests' heads]] and only moved in the shadows so as to secretly secure her prey, the former was [[LuminescentBlush extremely obvious.]]
* OffWithHisHead: He was beheaded by Oz who was controlled by Jack shortly before Sablier fell into the Abyss.
* ParentalSubstitute: He played the role of guardian to his niece Alice. He also acted fatherly towards his young servant and successor Gilbert.
* PromotionToParent: He and Lacie apparently lost their parents at a young age, so Oswald was the one who looked after sister at least until they were taken in by the Baskervilles.
* RavenHairIvorySkin: Black-haired, pale-skinned and noted to be very handsome.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Has this effect with the red Baskerville robe and his black outfit. Then it's subverted, since he wasn't a villain in the true backstory and during his time as an antagonist in the modern era he wears only black.
* RedHerring: The narrative leads the reader to assume that Oswald had an obsession with a woman named Lacie and was driven insane after she was made into a HumanSacrifice to the Abyss, which motivated him to cause the Tragedy of Sablier. Turns out the one who was crazy for Lacie and tried to destroy the world for her was Jack, not Oswald.
* SanitySlippage: The Tragedy of Sablier ''screwed him up.'' Unlike other survivors, though, he dealt with it by getting hung up over revenge.
* TheScapegoat: He is believed to be the evil mastermind that sent Sablier into the Abyss and was stopped by the hero Jack. Then it's revealed ''Jack'' was the one who tried to send the world into the Abyss and Oswald was merely framed for it after the Tragedy.
* SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong: After possessing Leo, he sets his goal as travelling back to the past and killing Lacie in order to prevent the Tragedy from ever happening. He is also very willing to kill Oz (and subsequently, Jack) to stop them from interfering. Subverted, though, as Rufus points out that he's only ''claiming'' to be trying to right wrongs, and in reality is motivated by revenge. In the end, he manages to go back in time, but can't bring himself to kill his sister.
* ShipTease: He and Lottie were broached as a possible pairing. Then Miranda muscled in on the plot and that ship burned before it left the harbor.
* ShootTheDog: Upon becoming the next Glen Baskerville, he was forced to send his sister Lacie into the Abyss. And to prevent the next tragedy, he tries to execute Oz, someone he admitted earlier was just an unfortunate, pitiful existence.
* SiblingMurder:
** During the succession ceremony where he became Glen Baskerville, Oswald used the power of his Chains to throw his sister Lacie into the darkness of the Abyss, which destroyed her body and soul, because her existence as a Child of Ill Omen was considered a threat to the order of the world.
** He plans to kill Lacie again, this time in the past, because she was the catalyst of the Tragedy of Sablier. In the end, he doesn't go through with it.
* SoProudOfYou: He and Gil have a moment that messes up your grey cells. Gil has just shot Oz on Oswald's orders, seems to be down with a severe case of PTSD and Oswald ends up patting him on the shoulder and saying that he's happy Gil is still his servant.
* SpiritAdvisor: Along with the previous Glens, he was this towards Leo, though, the latter didn't really appreciate the help, considering how the voices established his status as "the weird one", and eventually was able to get them blocked out. At least for the time being.
* TheStoic: His facial expression was permanently locked in a distant, melancholic gaze. The only one who successfully got emotional reactions out of him was Jack.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: As stoic and aloof as he might be, he had a minor soft spot for Gilbert back when they were master and servant, not to mention a very clear soft spot for his dear sister Lacie. Unfortunately, he had a soft spot for Jack, who ''was'' his best friend, as well. That last example didn't end well for him.
* TallDarkAndHandsome: He's tall, black-haired and immensely gorgeous.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Despite him viewing Lacie as the catalyst of the Tragedy of Sablier, Oswald was directly responsible for Lacie meeting Jack in the first place. The entire reason why Lacie had run away from the Baskerville mansion on that fateful snowy day was because she got angry at Oswald after he let her win at chess for once.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: Oswald and Jack enjoyed each other's company to the point Oswald wanted to be friends with Jack even though he noticed there was something seriously wrong with him. Jack also admitted that a part of him really thought of Oswald as his best friend, but that didn't stop him from betraying his trust by trying to destroy the world and then killing Oswald when he got in the way. In the present, Oswald thinks of his decision to befriend Jack as the biggest mistake he ever made.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: He was this in the past but ultimately subverts the "well-intentioned" part in the present. He managed to avert the end of the world all those years ago, (even if averting it involved [[MercyKill murdering everyone in the city]]), but despite his initially noble intentions for this horrible act, it's revealed his actions in the modern era (having [[DevotedToYou Gilbert]] shoot Oz during his HeroicBSOD, slaughtering scores of people for saying Jack's name, going back in time to stop Jack from meeting Lacie by killing his sister) are motivated by revenge.
* WhenHeSmiles: Lottie was both perplexed and happy to see Oswald smile in the presence of Jack.

!!Levi Baskerville / Glen Baskerville
->Voiced by: Creator/TakahiroSakurai (Drama CD)
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/levi1_8582.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:225: ''"This really is too hilarious a tale!"'']]

The former Glen Baskerville, preceding Oswald. He impregnated Lacie as part of an experiment and is the father of both Alice and the Intention of the Abyss. When he died, he became the chain Humpty Dumpty.

* ColorCodedEyes: A purple-eyed man who controls ''five'' incredibly powerful Chains and is in charge of protecting the Abyss.
* DisappearedDad: He died shortly after the birth of his daughters, the Alice twins.
* DissonantSerenity
** He frequently does this, such as when warning Jack Vessalius that he could have him killed and nobody would notice.
** Another example is when he explains to a young Lacie about [[DeaderThanDead her]] [[YourDaysAreNumbered fate]] without having the smile on his face waver.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: He has slitted pupils and towards the end of his human life, the sclerae of his eyes became violet like his iris. The mangaka drew Levi's eyes like this so that readers would find him creepy.
* FamilyEyeResemblance: The Alice twins inherited their purple eye color from him.
* ForScience: He impregnated Lacie as part of an experiment: to see if her child could become a host for the Core of the Abyss and how this factor would affect the immortal Baskervilles.
* GreaterScopeVillain: Jack is the main villain of the story that nearly destroyed the world twice using Oz's power, but Levi was the one who created the path that enabled Jack to do so. Levi impregnated Lacie before she was thrown into the darkness of the Abyss, which resulted in the birth of the Intention of the Abyss who then got manipulated by Jack into giving him a Chain with the power to send the entire world into the Abyss.
* HellishPupils: He has snake-like slit pupils that hint at his unscrupulous nature.
%%* {{Immortality}}
* ItAmusedMe: He tells Leo he doesn't care about the consequences his actions have as long as they keep him entertained.
* TheJailBaitWait: When Lacie was a little kid, Levi made a secret agreement with her that he would get her pregnant as part of an experiment that would give the Core of the Abyss a human host. However, they had to wait until Lacie's brother Oswald came of age and was made the new Glen Baskerville before they started their experiment. Lacie was already an adult woman by the time she was thrown into the Abyss with Levi's daughters in her womb.
* LongHairedPrettyBoy: A young-looking man with fine facial features and long silver hair tied back in a ponytail.
* LukeIAmYourFather: Was the father of the Alice twins.
* MysticalWhiteHair: He had silvery white hair, which was inherited by the Intention of the Abyss. Before Oswald, Levi was the head and most powerful of the Baskervilles, who are humans granted longevity and right to make contracts with Chains by the Abyss.
* OnlyOneWhoLikesSpam: He was the only one who actually liked to drink Oswald's disgusting tea.
* ParentalSubstitute: He was the closest thing Oswald and Lacie had to an adoptive father.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: He gives one to Leo, berating him for letting his spirit be broken by the death of his best friend Elliot, which allowed Oswald to take control of his body.
* SpiritAdvisor: Subverted. Like Oswald, Levi's soul merged with that of the past Glens and now resides inside Leo's body. However, rather than advising, Levi merely sees things play out as he's amused by it all.
* VillainsLoveEntertainment: When Leo confronts Levi about his responsibility in the mess created by Jack, Levi expresses no guilt nor remorse because he's content as long as he's entertained, even if that entertainment involves TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt.
* WalkingSpoiler: His existence is an indication of the fact that Glen Baskerville is not a normal human.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: He has silver hair and while not exactly evil, he's definitely not portrayed as a nice person.
* WifeHusbandry: Though, without the marriage. He and Lacie had a father-daughter relationship that eventually grew to something that resembled a relationship between two lovers. It is stated in the Volume 18.5 Evidence Guidebook that he "liked Lacie as a mature woman" and claims to be in love with Lacie in the Volume 22 Drama CD, though Lacie doesn't believe him and claims it was a joke to see how Oswald would react to the confession.

Echo's psychotic and murderous SplitPersonality. Unlike Echo, she's obsessed with Vincent. She's later revealed to be the original owner of the body and she became insane as a result of the influence of her Chain Duldee.

* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: She was initially unable to control her Chain, Duldee, forcing the Chain to create a SplitPersonality just to keep her sane. This made her an aberration in the eyes of her fellow Baskervilles, who then confined her in a cell.
* AxCrazy: Duldee's influence has made her batshit insane.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: She loves Vincent because he was the only one who got close to her and didn't treat her like a freak because of her SplitPersonality.
* BigSisterInstinct: Shortly before dying, Noise finally remembers what she ''really'' wanted was to protect Vincent and be there for him as a big sister.
* BrokenBird: When Vincent met her, Noise was a sad and lonely girl who was forced to live in a cell due to being unable to control her Chain and developing a SplitPersonality as a result.
* ClingyJealousGirl: Noise kidnapped and seems to have being stabbing Ada for start being so close to Vincent.
* CommonalityConnection: With Vincent. They sympathized with each other because both were treated like aberrations by other Baskervilles. Noise came to share Vincent's idea that if two "weird" people are together, then they wouldn't be "weird" anymore.
* CoolBigSis: What the original Noise was for Vincent. She wanted to care for him and protect him as a big sister. Duldee's influence, however, turned those feelings into a twisted obsession and Noise became the {{Yandere}} she's now.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: When the Baskervilles realized she couldn't control her Chain, instead of breaking her contract, they locked her up and threw away the key. In all likelihood, this probably made things worse. She's only out now because the Abyss swallowed Sablier and everything in it, and the Baskervilles need her too much to lock her away again.
* DemonicPossession: The real Noise is actually possessed by Duldee. Echo frees Noise from Duldee shortly before both die.
* DyingAsYourself: Echo finally releases Noise from Duldee's control and she gets to remember her original wish to protect Vincent. Almost immediately afterwards, Noise's body disintegrates.
* ExpositoryPronoun: Noise uses the male pronoun ''[[UsefulNotes/JapanesePronouns boku]]'' to refer to herself, in order to imitate Vincent. In her final moments, she uses ''watashi'', like she did before she went insane, once she remembers her true wish was to protect Vincent.
%%* HellishPupils
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Being a Baskerville made her different from normal humans, yet she still needed to be isolated in the Baskerville household because of her lack of control over her Chain. It was their mutual yearning for normalcy what draw her and Vincent together.
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: When Echo severs Duldee's influence over her, Noise realizes that she only ever wanted to protect Vincent as a sister, but failed. She sees Ada comforting him and sees he's finally found someone who can help him be happy, allowing Noise to pass on in peace.
* IfICantHaveYou: Due to Duldee's influence, Noise tries to kill Vincent so he can't belong to anyone else. Fortunately, Echo stops her and releases her from Duldee's control.
* InTheHood: She keeps her hood over her head at all times the first times she appears. This is meant to conceal the fact that she and Echo share the same body.
* MadLove: She's obsessed with Vincent and will do anything to have him for herself. Vincent, for his part, doesn't seem to care that much about Noise and takes advantage of her feelings to manipulate her.
* MeaningfulName: Noise, a sound louder than an echo, meaning that she's the dominant one. Also, her alias "Zwei" means "two" in German, signifying that more than one personality inhibits her body. Interestingly enough, she was the first personality, so logically Echo should be "Zwei" instead. However, since Echo is still a less warped version of the original Noise than the current Noise is...
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: She can't remember her real name. "Noise" is the name Vincent chose for her as her other personality was named Echo.
* PowerIncontinence: Noise was unable to control her Chain Duldee, and was often possessed by her and forced to go off on violent rampages. This resulted in Noise's confinement from the outside world prior to the Tragedy of Sablier and Duldee creating the artificial personality Duldum/Echo to keep Noise sane.
* PreInsanityReveal: Noise wasn't always a murderous maniac. Before the Tragedy of Sablier, she was just a meek and fragile girl who was scared of completely losing her mind because of the influence of her Chain.
%%* PsychoForHire
* RedOniBlueOni: The Red Oni to Echo's Blue Oni. Noise is loud, outspoken and bloodthirsty, while Echo is quiet, submissive and stoic. This is reflected by their clothes; Noise wears a blood-red cape and Echo wears a blue dress.
* {{Sadist}}: Her favourite thing is the pain of other people.
* SlasherSmile: She usually sports a psychotic, bloodthirsty grin on her face.
* SplitPersonalityMakeover: Echo has dead eyes, free flowing hair, dresses in uniform, has a calm/stale posture and a voice that is generally gentle/weak, though devoid of emotion. When turning into Noise her eyes go wild with ecstasy, she braids her hair with an ornament, strips of all clothing (dressing up in a nightgown and blood-red cape), moves as if she was the star of a play and shouts/screams her words.
* SplitPersonalityTakeOver: Retrace LXXXV shows Noise throwing Echo into the depths of her mind. Although Retrace LXXXIX reveals that Echo is in fact the split personality while Noise is the original owner of the body. So until Vincent ordered her to swap with Noise, ''Echo'' was the one taking over.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Long ago, she was a meek and lonely girl who wanted to protect her OnlyFriend Vincent as a big sister. Then Duldee corrupted her mind and Noise turned into the batshit crazy {{Yandere}} we know.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Unlike Echo, Noise is violent, sadistic and psychotic. Then it gets subverted when it's revealed Noise is merely under Duldee's influence.
* WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity: Unlike other Baskervilles, Noise has very little control over her Chain Duldee, which has taken a toll on her sanity and turned her into a {{Yandere}} crazy for Vincent.
* {{Yandere}}: She will kill anyone who gets in her way of having Vincent to herself, be it Ada or Vincent himself. Subverted because Noise was only acting like that because of Duldee's influence.

Known mostly as Lottie. A Baskerville who first appears to interrogate Oz with Fang and Doug. The two previously mentioned Baskervilles, as well as Lily Baskerville, seem to follow her lead. Lottie is placed very high in the Baskervilles' internal hierarchy, but she's also a bit [[AxCrazy unhinged]].

* AffablyEvil: After a good bit of character development.
* AntiVillain: She holds herself to certain standards and has good intentions, like all Baskervilles.
* AxCrazy: Especially in her first appearance. [[CharacterDevelopment Even though she gets better]], there's still something a little out of whack when it comes to her and violence
* BodyguardCrush: On [[TheStoic her master Glen]]. See StalkerWithACrush.
* BrainsAndBondage: She's scarily intelligent when she isn't acting like a sex-crazed maniac.
* CatchPhrase: She refers to herself as "big sister". She also tends to refer to men younger than her, such as Oz, Vincent, and Elliot, as "my boy" or "little boy."
* CharacterDevelopment: Before the series began, she went from being a charming and shy control-freak of a girl to being a peppy, psychotic wreck. Once again, it all comes down to The Tragedy of Sablier. In the series proper, she's gone from being a FauxAffablyEvil [[AxCrazy psycho]] who only cared about finding Glen and who enjoyed inflicting pain to [[EvenEvilhasStandards being someone who expresses distaste for unnecessary cruelty]], and then to being an AntiVillain who genuinely feels sorry for Oz because he lost his two best friends and is willing to [[LoopholeAbuse reinterpret]] [[ExactWords her orders]] for the sake of others.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Compare her personality during her first major appearance (FauxAffablyEvil AxCrazy psychopath who sadistically toyed with Oz) with her personality during her second major appearance (she had calmed down considerably and was visibly disgusted when Vincent vented his frustration by beating Echo, who had nothing to do with his mood).
* ControlFreak: She had elements of this to her personality before the Tragedy of Sablier.
* CoolBigSis: To Lily. She also refers to herself as 'big sister'. See ThirdPersonPerson below.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: A downplayed example in that she has light pink hair and dark pink eyes.
* CuteAndPsycho: At first, at least. While she's [[CharacterDevelopment calmed down some]], in her first appearance she was an attractive young woman who acted a bit ditzy... and who also enjoyed tormenting Oz.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: She is devoted to her master Glen and cares about her Baskerville comrades. She's also like a [[CoolBigSis nurturing older sister]] to Lily, and she was shocked and saddened by Fang's death.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Though like all Baskervilles, it's hard to really call her "evil," she was rather pissed with Vincent when she found him beating up Echo for no real reason. Later, she was clearly horrified and appalled when the recently resurrected Glen executed a wounded and defeated member of Pandora by stabbing him through the mouth (and presumably [[TongueTrauma tongue) just for speaking Jack's name in front of him.]]
* FauxAffablyEvil: When she's first introduced. She later [[CharacterDevelopment shifts toward]] AffablyEvil.
* GenkiGirl: A subdued example, but throughout the entire series, she's remained constantly lively and full of energy.
%%* HellishPupils
* ImpossiblyLowNeckline: Just look at it.
* InLoveWithTheMark: Not necessarily in love, but she and Break have been getting friendly as of late, despite them being enemies by obligation.
* KickingAssInAllHerFinery: She wore an elegant gown when the Baskervilles infiltrated Isla Yura's manor, and she continued to kick ass.
* KissOfDeath: She gives Ada poison through mouth-to-mouth.
* LovableSexManiac: Although she's not sleeping with anyone we know of, she sure as hell acts like she is with several characters.
* MsFanservice: She's a beautiful woman with a large chest and a penchant for low cut tops.
* MysteriousPast: Nothing of her life before she joined the Baskervilles has been revealed.
* NobleDemon: Post-CharacterDevelopment. See EvenEvilHasStandards.
* NothingUpMySleeve: Where she kept her knives in the past. She might keep them there in the present as well (when she's wearing an outfit that has sleeves, that is), but we've never seen where she pulls her knives from.
* OfCorsetsSexy: Her favorite outfit.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: After Jack started calling her Lottie, everyone else did too.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: In Retrace LXXXVI, Break, Sharon, Sheryl, and other members of Pandora are at the Baskervilles' mercy. Instead of taking pride in the Baskervilles' victory and being the peppy borderline GenkiGirl that she usually is, she is instead shown brooding quietly with a frown on her face.
* SheCleansUpNicely: Even though she's attractive anyway, she looked quite fetching during the Isla Yura arc when she wore a nifty ballgown and had her hair tied up.
* SilkHidingSteel: She is introduced as an alluring deranged lady. And ''then'' the Chain comes out, she shows off her combat skills and she has high authority within the Baskervilles. She may look like a prostitute, but watch out.
* StalkerWithACrush: She had a tendency to hide behind trees and spy on [[ObliviousToLove Glen]] back in Sablier. Taken to extremes in the {{Omake}}, but it's always PlayedForLaughs.
* {{Stripperific}}: She typically wears [[OfCorsetsSexy a corset]], a miniskirt, and her Baskerville Cloak. That's about it.
* ThanksForTheMammary: That awkward moment in Retrace XLI when Break came dangerously close to dropping a piece of candy into her cleavage.
* ThirdPersonPerson: When referring to herself as 'big sister'.
* WorthyOpponent: Lottie has the utmost respect for Xerxes Break. After the latter's death, she regrets never being able to fight alongside him instead of against him, and she promises to watch over Oz on his behalf.
---> '''Lottie:''' "In the end...we didn't get the chance to fight side by side. I will watch over that boy on your behalf...until the very end...so that you can rest in peace. May your soul...return to this earth, once it has completed its hundred-year-cycle."

[[folder:Fang Baskerville]]
!!Fang Baskerville
[[quoteright:164:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fang_baskerville.jpg]]

A skilled Baskerville who works for Lottie. Something of a TokenGoodTeammate and, when we actually see him, a tactician of sorts.

* AffablyEvil: The most polite and level-headed of the group.
* AntiVillain: On top of being the most polite and level-headed, he's the least inclined to kill, considering how he questioned Glen for the order to slaughter the people of Sablier. Then again, killings aside, it has already been established that the Baskervilles aren't really villains to begin with.
* {{BFS}}: His weapon of choice.
* BigBrotherInstinct: Towards Lottie and Lily. His HeroicSacrifice was to protect them and buy them time to get away.
* EyesAlwaysShut: He opens them exactly once: when he's dying.
* FacialMarkings: He tattooed the left side of his face to copy Lily.
* GentleGiant: He's one of the taller characters, but is quite gentlemanly. He was notably bothered by Lottie's treatment towards Oz.
* GoOutWithASmile: When he sees his own body crumbling away, Fang smiles in relief at realizing that the Baskervilles aren't truly immortals after all.
* SorryThatImDying: He apologizes to Lottie as his body gets ReducedToDust.
* TakingTheBullet: When Break is about to kill Lily with Mad Hatter, Fang pushes her out of the way and takes the blade instead. Unfortunately, it costs him his life, [[{{Tearjerker}} and Lily and Lottie are devastated.]]
* TerribleArtist: According to a recap.
* WhoWantsToLiveForever: When Break manages to kill him, Fang actually feels happy at knowing that he can still die despite being a Baskerville.
* WorthyOpponent: Seems to consider Break this.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Doug Baskerville]]
!!Doug Baskerville
[[quoteright:220:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doug_baskerville.png]]

A stoic giant who seems to be Lottie's bodyguard. Despite his size, [[LightningBruiser he's quite fast]] and an extremely skilled fighter.

%%* TheBigGuy
* CarryABigStick: His weapon of choice is a massive morning star (spiked mace).
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Doug really cares for Lottie, Fang, and Lily, and he is more than willing to [[TakingTheBullet take the bullet]] for any one of them. Case in point, when Sheryl used Owl to blind and deafen everyone, including Break and the Baskervilles he was fighting, Doug's first instinct was to grab Lottie and Lily and shield them with his body.
* FacialMarkings: Doug has a tattoo identical to Fang's and Lily's on the right side of his face.
* GeniusBruiser: He doesn't talk much so we don't know ''exactly'' how smart he is, but Doug is not stupid. In fact, he and Vincent were once seen playing chess together, and though Vince beat Doug quite easily, the fact that such a skilled player would want to play against Doug should say something. He is also one of the most perceptive characters in the series.
* HellishPupils: He has snake-like pupils, making him the most sinister-looking of the Baskervilles.
* HiddenDepths: A recap shows that he can actually draw well.
* InTheHood: He's the only one of the named Baskervilles who seems to insist on always wearing his hood.
* LightningBruiser: The dude is massive and hits like a tank with his weapon of choice: [[CarryABigStick a massive spiked mace]]. He's also ridiculously fast; Lottie and Lily often use him as a means of quick transport, and he was nimble enough to keep up with Break in a fight. ''And'' he was tough enough to take a hit from the Mad Hatter and survive.
* NobleDemon: [[MyMasterRightOrWrong He'll follow orders to the letter]], but he himself is not at all evil. Case in point: aside from Lottie, he was the only Baskerville who didn't beat Break in retaliation for killing Baskervilles earlier.
* PapaWolf: Towards Fang, Lottie, and Lily.
* TheQuietOne: Doug rarely says a word, preferring to let Fang or Lottie talk for him, and when he does speak, it's usually only a word at a time.
* TheStoic: One wonders if he even has emotions.

[[folder:Lily Baskerville]]
!!Lily Baskerville
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lily_baskerville_2.jpg]]

A young girl taken in by the Baskervilles after surviving severe abuse from her family, of whom believed she was a product of the devil. Quite cheery most of the time and appears strikingly innocent compared to the rest of the Baskervilles, but can get [[BewareTheNiceOnes extremely sinister.]]

* AffablyEvil: She will gladly murder people if that's her mission as a Baskerville, but she's very cheerful and friendly to the other Baskervilles. She also treats Reim very nicely despite him being her enemy when they meet.
* AvengingTheVillain: She's after Break's blood to avenge Fang's death. However, Break dies before she can take her revenge on him. Lily still demanded Sharon to give her Break's corpse so she could rip it apart, but fortunately, Reim convinced her otherwise.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: She considers the Baskervilles her true family because they were the only people who accepted her and treated her kindly.
* BlemishedBeauty: She's very cute despite having her face branded with the red mark of the devil because the people of her hometown believed she brought bad luck. When Lily joined the Baskerville clan, Fang and Doug thought Lily's face tattoo looked cool and gave themselves the same tattoo, which made her feel better about it.
* CharacterDevelopment: Maybe less so than many of the other characters, but she hated Break with a violent passion after he killed Fang. Later, she decides to stay with Sharon and Reim to help protect his body from Chains.
* CheerfulChild: She's constantly smiling and full of energy.
* ChildrenForcedToKill: She was forced to participate in the massacre of the Tragedy of Sablier at the age of ''12''.
* CreepyChild: She's a cheery young girl who's far too comfortable with violence.
* CuteAndPsycho: She's a cute little girl who cheerfully orders her Chain to maul and kill people.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: She was the smallest and weakest out her many siblings. Bad things happened whenever she was around, so the people of her village drove her out. When she thought she was going to die alone in the forest she was chosen as a Baskerville and went to their castle, where she was immediately welcomed.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Her most humanizing trait is her familial love for the other Baskervilles who accepted her after she was thrown out of her village.
* TheExile: She was cast out from her hometown because the villagers accused her of attracting bad luck.
* FacialMarkings: She has a red tattoo on her left cheek, which represents the brand of the devil.
* FriendlyEnemy: Despite Leim being a member of Pandora, Lily decides to not hurt Reim because his Chain has no combat abilities and she makes an honest attempt to befriend him. Even after Reim shoots her in the head, she doesn't seriously try to kill him and looks genuinely happy when he shows up alive after his FauxDeath.
* GirlsLoveChocolate: [[AllThereInTheManual She has been noted to like chocolate]].
* IntergenerationalFriendship: Attempts to establish one with Reim. However, Reim tries to kill her for being a Baskerville. Later, Reim understands the Baskervilles aren't as evil as he thought and after achieving peace between the two groups, Reim accepts to be Lily's friend.
* ItsPersonal: She despises Break and wanted nothing more than to hurt him in as many ways as possible since he killed Fang.
* KidWithTheLeash: She controls a chain called Bandersnatch whose killing tendencies she is sometimes unable to control. Bonus points for the chain actually being a [[SavageWolves montrous-looking dog]].
* MarkOfShame: The people of her village labeled her a bringer of disaster and tattooed the mark of the devil on her face.
* ProneToTears: Because of her young age, Lily is very emotional and cries easily.
* TagalongKid: The only Baskerville to be a young child.
* TokenMiniMoe: She's a cute little girl in a clan of semi-immortal superhumans who apparently don't age past twenty.

[[folder:Lacie Baskerville]]
!!Lacie Baskerville
->Voiced by: Creator/AyakoKawasumi (Drama CD)
[[quoteright:225:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lacie2_156.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:225: ''"I despise common sense. If you listen to what everyone tells you without question, you'll lose the ability to think."'']]

A Child of Ill Omen of the Baskerville Household. She was believed to be Glen/Oswald's lost love and the reason he went mad and caused the Tragedy of Sablier. In actuality she was Oswald's little sister, as well as the mother of the Alice twins. ''Jack'' was the one who was obsessed with her and caused the Tragedy of Sablier out of his twisted devotion for her. Based on the Red Queen from Through the Looking-Glass.

* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: Because she was a Child of Ill Omen, she was forced to live in a tower isolated from everyone.
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: To Oswald during their teen years, it seems. Whenever they had fights, Lacie would run away from home and would only come back after Oswald apologized to her. She mellowed out as an adult.
* BabiesMakeEverythingBetter: The only reason she seemed to agree with Levi's "experiment" was so that, through her child becoming the vessel for the Core of the Abyss, the Core of the Abyss wouldn't have to be alone anymore.
* BarefootLoon: When she first meets Jack, Lacie is walking barefoot outside even though it's the middle of winter. This is one of the many things that establish how much of an oddball she is.
* {{Bloodlust}}: She purposely cut Jack's ear to lick his blood. She also thought it was beautiful to make rain blood by killing people.
* BrokenBird: Subverted. She seemed to have a practical and bitter outlook on life due being told from a young age that she would die young, but Retrace LXXII reveals that she genuinely loved the world because she was able to see its darkness as well as its beauty.
* CessationOfExistence: Her fate in the Abyss. Lacie's body and soul immediately were torn apart by the darkness of the Abyss.
* ChosenConceptionPartner: Levi asked Lacie to become pregnant with his child shortly before she was thrown into the Abyss because he wanted to see what would happen if the Core of the Abyss took over a human body. Lacie, for her part, didn't care about Levi's experiment, but she consented nonetheless only because she hoped the Core and her child would become friends.
* CuteAndPsycho: She's cute, cheerful and enjoys dancing in the raining blood of the men she killed. She grows out of it as an adult.
* DissonantLaughter: She cheerfully laughs after killing the two men that had attacked Jack and her.
* DoomMagnet: Children of Ill Omen like Lacie were said to attract catastrophe because their direct connection to the Core of the Abyss disturbed the order of the world.
* EtherealWhiteDress: When she meets Jack, she's wearing a white sundress and her imminent death is a central theme of her character.
* ExposedToTheElements: When she meets Jack, Lacie is wearing a summer dress and no shoes on a snowy day. She even tells Jack he should be asking her why she's so underdressed for cold weather. Years later, Lacie explains that she did this because she wanted Oswald to feel guilty if she caught a cold.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: When the time finally came for Oswald to kill her by tossing her into the darkness of the Abyss, Lacie serenely accepts her own death with a smile. After all, she had been preparing herself to die since she was a little girl.
* TheFatalist: She was told at a young age that her fate as a Child of Ill Omen was to be thrown into the darkness of the Abyss by her own brother and nothing would be left of her body and soul. Lacie never once tried to change her tragic destiny, even though she had the option of running away with Jack, and accepted her death with a serene smile.
* GenkiGirl: In her early life, she's depicted as an energetic girl who dances and sings around the city. This wears away as she gets older, her loneliness and [[YourDaysAreNumbered imminent fate]] catching up to her. It's worth noting that although she certainly did have an energetic attitude during her younger days, she was also disturbing and oddly philosophical at the time.
* GetItOverWith: When Oswald hesitated during the ritual that sent her down to the Abyss, Lacie told him to get it over with once and for all. This motivated Oswald to fulfill his duty as Glen to kill the Child of Ill Omen.
* GracefulLadiesLikePurple: Her usual outfit is a purple dress, but it's subverted in that she's quite eccentric for a noblewoman.
* HairColorDissonance: Her black hair is colored purple in some artworks.
* HandOnWomb: She places her hand on her belly during her final conversation with the Core of the Abyss and shortly before Oswald throws her into the Abyss, a sign that she was already pregnant with the Alice twins.
* HiddenDepths: Lacie was more than just a LostLenore. She put a lot of thought into conventional morality, openly questioning why some things are considered "wrong" and never resented her inevitable fate.
* ILoveYouBecauseICantControlYou: Lacie had intended to push Jack away if he got too aggressive. To her surprise, Jack never tried to pursue anything with her and was perfectly satisfied with simply being near her. He never made a pass at her even when she gave him the chance. Lacie felt confused by the way Jack could be so single-mindedly obsessed with her and yet never make her feel desired. Before she realized, her confusion turned into attraction.
* LivingEmotionalCrutch:
** She was this to Jack, in a twisted way. She's the one thing that gave Jack the will to live on and being with Lacie is the only way he can feel alive. However, his feelings for Lacie don't come from love, but from pure obsessive hatred and resentment; he has grown to hate her so much that he needs her by his side to live and know who he is.
** She was also this to the Core of the Abyss. Lacie was its only friend and when she died, the Core became more lonely than ever and tried to take care of the body Lacie left for it (the Intention).
* TheLostLenore: To Jack. Losing her finally drove him over the edge and he caused the Tragedy of Sablier in an attempt to bring the world she loved to her in the Abyss. Later subverted in that his feelings for Lacie are not romantic.
* LukeIAmYourFather: She's revealed to be the mother of the Alice twins.
* ManicPixieDreamGirl: Deconstructed. Lacie brought light to Jack's life with her charm and quirkiness. Jack wanted to live so he could see Lacie again, but over the years it took him to find her, Jack grew to hate her and resent her for tying him down with the desire to meet her again and making him so dependant of her.
* MasterOfTheMixedMessage: Her feelings for Jack were as ambiguous as his feelings for her. She claimed that she only saw him as a toy, but there were hints that she cared about him as more than that. When Jack gets to see the fragment of her final feelings and memories, it's confirmed she did have some feelings for him, but she could also tell that what Jack felt for her wasn't love which made her distance herself from him.
* MeetCute: With Jack.
* MissingMom: She died in the Abyss while pregnant with the Alice twins. Therefore her daughters were born in the Abyss and never met her.
* MoralityChain: To Jack. When she died, he didn't care about anything anymore and decided to throw the world into the Abyss, believing it would make Lacie happy.
* MySecretPregnancy: No one knew of her "experiment" with Levi while she was alive. Jack only learned about it through Levi.
* TheNotLoveInterest: Lacie fulfills nearly perfectly the role of a dead love interest for Jack, but the truth is he isn't in love with her. In the final volume, Jack reveals the chilling fact that his obsession with Lacie comes from [[TheResenter absolute hatred]] rather than compassion, because [[LossOfIdentity he has long lost any sense of identity]] and [[TheSociopath his hatred for her is so strong it's the only thing that can remind him who he is and make him feel the slightest bit alive.]]
* OnlyFriend: To the Core of the Abyss. To try to alleviate this, she had Levi sew the two rabbits that would become Oz, and left both him and her children to the Core to keep it company after her death. [[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom It didn't work out well]].
* PeerlessLoveInterest: Subverted. The readers are given the impression that Jack must love Lacie, but idolizes her to such an extreme that he doesn't dare to push their relationship even when she gives him the opportunity to do so, being satisfied with just being by her side. However, it's eventually made clear that the reason was that Jack never loved Lacie, but her existence represented the only thing that gave him peace of mind.
* PlotTriggeringDeath: Her death was the trigger for the events that started the entire main plot.
* PosthumousCharacter: She was cast into the Abyss because she was a Child of Ill Omen and died long before the start of the series. We only get to know her through flashbacks.
* RavenHairIvorySkin: She was a beautiful young woman with dark hair and fair skin.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: As a Child of Ill Omen, Lacie has red eyes.
* TheRunaway: She meets Jack after running away from the Baskervilles. It is implied that that wasn't the first time she's done that.
* SignificantAnagram: Lacie is an anagram of [[AliceAllusion Alice]].
* SmallRoleBigImpact: The setting of ''Pandora Hearts'' would've been different had she not met Jack Vessalius and had not given birth to twins within the Abyss.
* TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth: Played with. She was a young woman doomed to die from a young age, but she didn't resent her fate. She loved the world immensely, the good and the bad, and was thankful she had the chance to experience it. She cared for the Core and made sure it wouldn't be alone after her death. She also liked killing those slavers a bit too much and had a [[BlueAndOrangeMorality strange world view]].
* UnseenNoMore: Lacie is repeatedly mentioned by Jack and Oswald in early flashbacks, but the reader doesn't find out what she looked like until her first official appearance in Retrace LXVI.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: As Glen pointed out, she was really the cause of the whole Tragedy of Sablier; she met Jack and he went crazy for her, she gave to the core of Abyss the stuffed rabbits which became Oz the B-Rabbit, she's the mother of Alice, the instrument Jack used to orchestrate the tragedy, and the poor girl was just trying to live her short life at her fullest and do something to make some people happy.
* UptownGirl: She was a member of the high-ranked Baskerville family, while Jack was the bastard son of a noble man who grew up in the streets. Jack had to climb the social ranks in order to meet her again. It's subverted when it's revealed Jack isn't in love with her.
* WalkingSpoiler: Knowing too much about Lacie gives away very big reveals involving Jack and Glen/Oswald, as well as the fact that she's the mother of the Alice twins.
* YourDaysAreNumbered: Since she was a child, she was told she must be cast to the Abyss by the black-feathered chains and be killed DeaderThanDead.
