Sigmund 'Sig' Von Bek (Played by: Agtheo/Ag)
-> Race: Human
-> Class: Fighter

After being cast out from the Von Bek family for a likely alcohol-related shame, Sigmund found employ as the Man-at-Arms in the great family of Arbello, carrying their crest to this day. When tragedy struck again in the form of a troglodyte invasion he was adopted into PATHCO as a much-needed tank and has battled alongside them since.
----
* AlcoholInducedStupidity: Sometimes. He makes a bit of a fool of himself the evening Cassandra turns up and has told the occasional tale implying it’s happened frequently in the past. The worst (and currently unspecified) incident apparently necessitated him having to leave home and join the army as a young man.
* AllWebbedUp: The rest of the party first met Sigmund in this manner as he (and one of his troglodyte captors) had been ambushed by a giant spider and stored for food.
* BerserkButton: The existence of troglodytes. The mere sight of one in Scumport sends him into a barely-contained fit of rage (and it was only barely-contained because the creature was important to their quest).
* TheBigGuy: By far the tankiest member of PATHCO – and while he’s not a complete moron he’s not the brightest bulb in the box either.
* DeathOfAChild: In Sigmund’s backstory he has mentioned two of the children he was training at Arbello Castle dying as a result of the troglodyte invasion.
* DespairEventHorizon: Judging from NPC chatter, Sigmund was slipping closer and closer to it over the course of Return to Arbello. The rest of the party narrowly saved him from falling over the edge.
* IdiotBall: Was clutching onto it for dear life when he decided to abandon the rest of PATHCO to lead a potentially suicidal charge against the troglodytes living in Arbello Castle.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: A shield specialist, Sigmund tends to run headlong into danger hoping that this trope will come true. Usually he is correct.
* MightyGlacier: You wouldn’t be able to run very fast if you were carrying that much armour either.
* ShieldBash: A frequent user of this technique, especially now he has shield spikes installed and is better at dual wielding.
* SurvivorGuilt: Sigmund was the only known survivor of the troglodyte invasion of Arbello castle. It doesn’t come up often due to his generally jovial and rakish demeanor but sometimes after a few drinks Sigmund displays certain signs.
* TokenHuman: He's the only even slightly human character in PATHCO, keeping company with an elf, a halfling and two dwarves. A lot of the [=NPCs=] are human, however, as the group mainly operates in human settlements.
* YouCantGoHomeAgain: Poor Sig has experienced this not once but twice. First when he was kicked out of the Von Bek family for reasons still unknown, and again when his adoptive family-slash-employers were slaughtered by troglodytes and their home castle overrun.

David 'Dave' Barrowhill (Played by: [=EggplantWitch=]/Egg)
->Race: Halfling
->Class: Bard

Born and raised on the Halfling isle of Scir, Dave was told many incredible stories by his retired Barbarian Great Aunt Tilda. Seeing the same passion for adventure Tilda saw in herself she encouraged him to pursue his love of music and become a bard. When he turned eighteen, he set out into the world armed with his lute and some of his aunt's dragon gold to look for something more.
----
* BadassAdorable: With a Strength stat of 4 he can't physically kick much ass, but he can still cast some pretty strong spells to do the job for him. He is also, by far, the most adorable member of PATHCO.
* CheerfulChild: He’s more of a teenager than a child, but since he’s not an adult and he’s half the age of the second youngest member of the party he still counts. He’s very chipper.
* CrazyPrepared: A lesser example than some, but the feat Well Prepared means that once a day Dave can find a mundane item of relative usefulness upon his person specific to the context it’s needed in.
* FragileSpeedster: He’s fast and very light on his feet but he’s ridiculously puny, even more than the average Halfling.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Well, to all living things which aren’t trying to kill him. He loves animals, and may even break his normal code of conduct in order to help or be with one.
* GuileHero: He’s fairly useless at combat, even with a ranged weapon like a crossbow, but he’s good at pretty much everything else, especially talking.
* TheHeart: While Thyra and possibly Sigmund are both good guys too, Dave is the least violent and least cynical of the whole party. He’s also the one restraining Apollyon most of the time, while Thyra and Sigmund tend to be the ones egging him on.
* MakeMeWannaShout: One of Dave's favoured spells, Ear Piercing Scream, involves shrieking at a pitch so deafening and so painful to the target that they're too dazed to move afterwards.
* MiddleChildSyndrome: Being the middle of five, the only boy, and the only one uninterested in traditional Halfling life meant he was often overlooked by his parents. It’s one of the reasons he gets along with his Great Aunt so well.
* MusicalAssassin: From the point of view of his enemies Dave counts. He uses his music to empower his friends, sure, but he can also turn it into deadly shards of pure sonic energy or a wave of rolling drums to shake the earth.
* WanderingMinstrel: Partaking in the act of wandering when he ran into the rest of the party in Riverton. Doesn’t wander as much anymore due to his ties to Riverton and the others.

Apollyon 'Polly' Buckheart (Played by: Monsieur Le Battlier/Mon)
->Race: Elf
->Class: Sorcerer/Oracle

One of the three living members of the Buckheart family, a long and esteemed line of undead necromancers, Apollyon set out to try and develop a source of power divorced from that the rest of his family survive on. It was to be a quest that led him on many misadventurers and hijinks for decades before he finally ran into PATHCO and settled with them, seeing an opportunity for safety in which to practice his dark magic.
----
* BlackSheep: One of only three members of his family who’s alive, the only one we know of who has left the Buckheart homeland of Ossenheim and the only one who wants out. This could make him more of a WhiteSheep depending on how one wants to interpret it.
* CantGetAwayWithNuthin: Almost every unfortunate event that has happened to Polly has been because of something inadivsable that he did - the most prominent example of which being he stole a book from Kate Fishwhiskers that then branded him with a creepy arcane sigil for life.
* EldritchAbomination: Can casually turn his face into one when he fancies.
* GlassCannon: Now that his spells are steadily becoming more likely to actually work, he's turning into one of these. Fireball in particular can dish out a lot of damage, but he's just as squishy as ever.
* HiddenDepths: He’s a Necromancer, like most of his family… because he wants to find a way of not turning out like them, and to have power of his own. Also, he’s a surprisingly good cook.
* MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: Family rather than species, but Polly wants nothing to do with the Orcus-worshipping undead shenanigans the rest of his family are engaged in.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Technically he’s Neutral rather than Evil, but this still applies. He’s the only one who will go out of his way to do cruel things ForTheEvulz, as well as the only one who’s tried to steal anything. Oh, he’s also a Necromancer.
* ScrewDestiny: The ultimate goal for Polly, who would really rather not become an undying zombie no matter what any malicious cosmic forces have to say about it, thank you very much.
* SquishyWizard: As is typical for a spellcaster, he has the smallest max HP of the entire party. This does not stop him from being right in the middle of a fight using touch attacks as if he were actually a KungFuWizard.
* TookALevelInKindness: He's keeping it subtle but Polly has started to show signs that he actually cares about the rest of the party, going out of his way to revive Thyra when she's knocked down and actually listening to Dave and Glanvar. Sometimes.
* WeaksauceWeakness: He can never come into contact with a potato for the rest of his life, after swearing as such to one of his undead immortal ancestors in a fit of potato-related rage.

Brother '[=BroGlan=]' Glanvar (Played by: Heggers)
->Race: Dwarf
->Class: Monk

Once a bandit in the days of his youth, Glanvar emerged from the tough confines of dwarf prison a changed man. Taking up his bow and little else he eventually came to Riverton, where he became one of PATHCO's founding members. He's been with them ever since, watching their backs, keeping out of trouble and, perhaps, atoning for his actions in the past.
----
* AloofArcher: Unusually he’s a stout, grumpy male dwarf but he is definitely still an archer.
* TheAtoner: He was a bandit until he was caught and jailed – now he’s a monk trying to make up for the crimes he’s committed.
* OnlySaneMan: While Dave can occasionally fill the role, Glanvar is the only member of the team who constantly keeps a level head and has never rushed into anything without thinking it through.
* QuirkyMinibossSquad: Implied by WordOfGod to be the case with Glanvar's old gang, depending on how many have survived/eluded the law.
* TheSneakyGuy: While a Monk and not a Rogue, Glanvar is by far the stealthiest and most perceptive of the party, and they usually rely on him to spot hidden or distant dangers and to watch their backs from afar with his bow when in combat.
* TheStoic: Brother Glanvar is a dwarf of few words.
* TheTeetotaler: Following a previous life of banditry, Glanvar has sworn off alcohol, despite the rest of the party consuming more than their fair share.

Thyra Bergfalk (Played by: Jakku/Jack)
->Race: Dwarf
->Class: Cleric

After being kicked out of the Church of Thor for instigating one too many fights with other clergymen, Thyra literally pitched up on PATHCO's doorstep insisting she be allowed to join, having heard of their recent adventures. While a skilled healer, Thyra's dedication to her god is best seen on the battlefield, where she wields a hammer and all the lightning spells she can as befitting a Cleric of Thor.
----
* AngstWhatAngst: Something unpleasant clearly happened to her back at the Temple of Thor but she’s cheery and helpful (or at least makes attempts to be) pretty much constantly.
* BadassPreacher: She is a qualified cleric, and does praise Thor mid-battle, and even mid-attack.
* BootsOfToughness: Thanks to Barry, necromantic shoemaker, Thyra gains some badass heels of swamp-striding during Return to Arbello. They are stylish yet practical thanks to their enchantment and remarkably useful during RTA: the core of which involved some pretty lengthy swamp shenanigans.
* BrutallyHonest: Thyra has little to no verbal filter, which makes her consistent attempts at diplomacy nail-bitingly frustrating for Dave.
* FieryRedhead: A classic example. She's loud, boisterous and enthusiastic at all times, with the ginger hair to match.
* HaveIMentionedIAmADwarfToday: She's fanatically proud of her race and/or religion, far more than anyone else in the party is of theirs.
* HotBlooded: Much like her patron deity, and as is befitting of someone of her hair colour.
* ICallItVera: Thyra names all of her weapons, with glee. Her favoured hammer is called 'Sun Bringer'.
* OurDwarvesAreAllTheSame: Well, she does satisfy a lot of the cliches of dwarves… (although averted by Brother Glanvar)
* SirSwearsALot: Spends a lot of her time swearing about one thing or another.

Apollyon's flesh golem, initially created with a leg of pork, a large fish, the heart of an Elf and a helmet he got off a random guy. Gillhelm now serves as Polly's faithful companion, backup tank and unmanned drone, despite the fact that necromancy is banned pretty much everywhere and many hoops must be jumped through in order to take him through civilised societies.
----
* EvolutionPowerUp: After Polly infuses him with a small pile of dead Bogwiggles he .
* FleshGolem: A perfect example, with a bit of HybridMonster thrown in for good measure.
* PetMonstrosity: He’s half pig, half fish, with the helmet of a mercenary instead of a face, armoured internal organs and the heart of a dead elf. His skin is vile to the touch and he makes some pretty weird noises. But he's the TeamPet anyway.
* PunnyName: He has gills and a helm, get it? And it’s a play on words of ‘Wilhelm’! (It was never considered a good pun).
* TeamPet: Dave tries half-heartedly to pass him off for a dog at one point, and when the golem gets captured by crows the party diverts from their quest in order to save him.

!!B-Team

Deltitia 'Delta' Viatore (Played by [=EggplantWitch=]/Egg)
->Race: Half-Elf
->Class: Paladin

The youngest daughter of a wealthy trading family, Delta studied literature and embroidery as befitting a lady of her status - until she joined the Tide Knights as a teenager, learning how to battle monsters and villains with her great-axe. She joined the Pathfinder Society looking for greater opportunitues to do Good, and might learn that Good is somewhat more nuanced than she first thought.
----
* BruiserWithASoftCentre: While aggressive in combat and abrasive in conversation, she does enjoy some of the more ladylike hobbies she was raised with like embroidery and reading. She also suffers from CutenessProximity from time to time.
* TheComicallySerious: She takes her work as a Paladin very seriously and her heavy-handed delivery of certain statements sometimes comes across as sarcastic or amusing even if she meant it completely seriously.
* CulturedBadass: Naturally considering her dual upbringing of 'refined young lady from wealthy family' and 'defender of the coast from horrifying sea creatures'. See GeniusBruiser below.
* GeniusBruiser: Fits the trope to a T. She’s over six feet tall and built like a tank, easily hefting a two-handed great axe and charging around in a suit of plte mail. However, she also greatly enjoys reading and the study of literature, spending most of her free time either with a book or discussing them with like-minded people.
* GoodIsNotNice: Unlike Dave, who's genuinely charming, Delta is pretty abrupt and condescending towards anyone who isn't a direct superior (and even then she pushes the boundaries). She's still firmly on the side of Good, being a Paladin, but don't expect it to be immediately obvious.
* LanternJawOfJustice: A rare female example.
* MightyGlacier: Like most Paladins, really. She’s strong and smart but she’s certainly not fast or agile, so expect her to be lagging behind a few feet when it comes to running or climbing.
* TokenNonHuman: She's half-human, but looks a lot more Elven than she does Human and that's still 50% more inhuman than everyone else in her party anyway.
* TomboyishPonytail: Her blonde hair is almost always tied up in a ponytail, albeit not one as luscious and flowing as Sigmund’s. She’s debated cutting it off for something even more practical but her feminine upbringing can’t stomach the idea.
* WhenYouComingHomeDad: Her father was and still is a travelling mercenary, who stayed with her and her mother until she was seven and then returned to his job full-time, staying away for longer and longer periods of time until one day he just didn’t come back at all. He still writes from time to time, but it’s clear that he’s had enough of trying to be a family man.

Beatrice 'Bea' von Bek (Played by: Agtheo/Ag)
->Race: Human
->Class: Investigator

Niece of the estranged Sigmund von Bek, Beatrice has always dreamed of being part of the Pathfinder Society's legendary heritage. With a sword-cane in one hand a bag of alchemical ingredients in the other, she's doing her best to follow the code-book and keep a hold of her values as she faces the reality of what the Society has become.
----
* BadassBookworm: By far the best example in all of PATHCO. She's bookish and relies on alchemical forumulae she made herself when in battle, but she does still go into battle despite her clear aversion to it.
* BewareTheQuietOnes: She's normally quiet, stammering and polite but frustrate her far enough and she will get very, very loud, and very, very vulgar. God forbid she pulls out one of her nastier potions.
* BrokenPedestal: Poor Bea has pretty much no idols left who aren't one of these. Her uncle Sigmund was disgraced and cast out from the family, the old Pathfinder Society heroes have become cynical and unkind, and the very society itself is heading rapidly in the same direction.
* GeekPhysiques: Of the tall skinny variety, with NerdGlasses to complete the look.
* TheKnightsWhoSaySquee: Acts as such, at least until those pedestals get broken. Her fangirlish admiration of Jeff Angel, however, has remained intact, especially after winning the sandcastle competition he was judging.
* NerdGlasses: The 'unflatteringly large' kind, big and round and barely balanced on her nose.
* SanitySlippage: With her deeper and deeper delves into alchemical knowledge and without much reason to try and be 'Good', Bea seems to be losing her grip on both reality and her morals. She hasn't gone too far off the deep end. Yet.

Rokou (Played by: Monsieur Le Battlier/Mon)
->Race: Human
->Class: Slayer

A mysterious masked follower of Shankil, who has travelled continents to join the Pathfinder Society in search of a holy artefact. She may have misunderstood the Society's purpose.
----
* FishOutOfWater: Rokou is a very, very long way away from her homeland and is frequently confused by the unfamiliar customs present on the continent of Pathko. She tends not to be hostile, however, asking for explanations instead.
* TheQuietOne: While not completely silent, Rokou doesn't run her mouth like Bea or dominate conversation like Delta. It might have something to do with the fact the language they're all speaking isn't her first.
* WalkingArmory: While her main weapon is a longsword, Rokou also carries throwing axes, multiple daggers and more that have yet to be discovered.

Niellen 'Nyx' Xian (Played by: Heggers)
->Race: Human
->Class: Soulknife

A unique magic-caster who can project weapons from his mind and use them in battle. Rarely seen, and gives the impression that he's far too competent to be a Pathfinder Society Intern.
----
* BlackCloak: Wears one that conceals his face most of the time. Despite how ominous this makes him sound, he's never acted threateningly to any of his fellow interns.
* DarkIsNotEvil: As noted above, Nyx wears a black cloak and dark clothes, but while he's not exactly friendly he's courteous and helpful enough to the rest of the team, and doesn't show any shady ambitions when it comes to the higher-ups either.

Myra Navratilova (Played by: Jakku/Jack)
->Race: Human
->:Class: Cavalier

Plucky and enthusiastic, Myra just wants to be useful to her friends, make her family proud, and get a lot of horses. One of the more recent recruits into the Pathfinder Society's Intern ranks.
----
* AccentUponTheWrongSyllable: Bea spends a significant amount of time trying to explain the difference between a 'fucking room' and a 'fucking room' to her, to no avail.
* IntellectualAnimal: Myra chose to spend her first downtime between sessions teaching Mimi, her horse, maths. spoiler: This was originally deemed to be her clopping her hoof in response to maths questions, but then revealed by a cunning Perception check from Bea to actually be her noting when people would be most surprised by her ceasing clopping, and stopping clopping then
* PluckyGirl: Out of all the girls in B-Team she fits the description the most. She's courageous and upbeat, much calmer and more patient than Delta or Bea and not quite as much of a FishOutOfWater as Rokou.

!!Non Player Characters

A half-orc bartender who doubles as Riverton's mayor due to the small and politically unconcerned nature of the town. Gave PATHCO their very first quest.
----
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: He has no problems dealing with drunken idiots in his bar, but he also has a very cute pet bird which appears to be very well-taken care of. He adopts one of the three birds rescued from Cassandra's tower too.
* NoNameGiven: Only ever referred to as ‘the Mayortender’.
* ObsessiveCompulsiveBarkeeping: Always wiping literally the same glass.
* PutOnABus: Hasn’t been seen in-game for a while, though one can assume he’s still at the bar in Riverton.
* SharpDressedMan: A snazzy bowtie always adorns his collar.

Riverton's one and only courier; if there's news to be delivered around town he's the one delivering it (as much as he clearly wishes he was at the bar instead).
----
* ButtMonkey: He’s constantly teased both to his face and behind his back. To be fair, he’s annoying enough to deserve it most of the time.
* DumbBlonde: A rare male example, being bright golden blond and one of the dumbest [=NPCs=] PATHCO have met.
* NoNameGiven: Like his friend(?) the Mayortender, his name has never been revealed.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: He is not a popular man.
* WhatTheHellIsThatAccent: He’s got a supposedly Cockney accent, but with an added hoarse shriek added in that makes him sound like no other human on the planet.

A Halfling Wizard who set up shop in Riverton once the undead were cleared out, and now lives with Madette in their tower.
----
* HeterosexualLifePartners: Seems to be good friends with Madette, who moved in with her following the events of The Warped Tower.
* HiddenDepths: A sweet, rosie-cheeked Halfling wizard who also keeps tomes terrifying enough and evil enough to give Apollyon sinister powers and brand him for the rest of his life (probably).

Cassandra's former assistant, whose tower she had to be rescued from by PATHCO. She now lives in Riverton with Kate Fishwhiskers, helping to keep the store running smoothly.
----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: In the form of the Courier, though whether she knows it or not has yet to be seen.
* DeadpanSnarker: She’s dry and sardonic a lot of the time, but never quite to the point of cruelty.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With her friend and towermate Kate Fishwhiskers.
* MistreatmentInducedBetrayal: It’s implied Cassandra didn’t treat her very well when she was working as her assistant, which is one reason why Madette might have turned against her and .

Dave's eccentric Great Aunt, whose tales of being a Barbarian in her youth inspired him to become an adventurer himself. Came out of retirement and acquired a ship at some point after Dave joined PATHCO.
----
* BlackSheep: Moreso than Dave, being much more violent and chaotic than the other Barrowhills.
* BoisterousBruiser: While less than half the size and the wrong gender compared to most typical examples, Tilda fits the bill. She’s loud and jovial and loves to fight, for all sorts of reasons.
* Cool Aunt: Technically a Great Aunt but the coolest of them all to Dave. Even his more boring sisters come to enjoy Tilda’s visits and the stuff she brings with her.
* CoolOldLady: Pretty much everything Dave knows about monsters and dungeons comes from the stories she told him as a child, and she used some of her hoarde of plundered dragon gold to fund his first steps into the outside world. She’s also now out of retirement and Barbarian-ing again, despite being the Halfling equivalent of about sixty.
* DualWielding: While she does have a traditional Halfling slingshot staff, her preferred weapon is a scimitar - one in each hand.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: She's short even by Halfling standards, standing somewhere just above 2 and a half feet tall, but she's still a Barbarian and a pretty old one at that - and you don't live to be an old Barbarian unless you're very good at it.
* She’s Back: Went into retirement around the time Dave was born, stayed retired for a couple of decades, and then came out of it when his letters home reminded her of how much fun adventuring was.

The troglodyte gladiator Tilda chose to sponsor in order to raise funds to get her ship out of the impound.
----
* CreepyCute: He’s a lizardman with a lizard tongue and lizard eyes, but he’s quite sweet and friendly in his demeanour.
* CuteMute: While not technically mute, as a troglodyte the only noises he can make are hisses so he writes on a chalkboard to communicate in Common.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Probably one of the most beloved [=NPCs=] to date.

The overworked and apathetic secretary at the Pathfinder Society Lodge the B-Team are resident in.
----
* BeleagueredAssistant: She clearly has way, way more work on her plate than one person should reasonably have.
* HyperCompetentSidekick: To the Lodge's leader. It's clear she's the one who's actually keeping the place standing.
