->'''Canon:''' ''Franchise/StarWars''\
'''Canon Point:''' Post ''Film/TheEmpireStrikesBack''\
'''Code Name:''' NA\
'''Powers:''' Force sensitive

The hero of the Rebel Alliance, Luke started his life as a humble farmboy. That all changed as he discovered his destiny as a Jedi and began to learn the ways of the Force. He was dragged into the world of Mask or Menace at the point where he learned of his family history, and was struggling with accepting it as his new reality. Considering he was followed by his father and found himself surrounded by other Dark Side followers, coupled with Han being ''Han'', it's a wonder he hasn't completely lost his mind yet.
----
* {{Archetype}}: Just because he's in a different reality, doesn't mean he isn't still a textbook hero.
* ArtificialLimbs: It's obvious he's missing his real right hand, as the placement of the imPort tattoo ends up higher up on his arm than normal.
* BadassAdorable: He's usually sweet and kind to the people around him. Threaten him and his friends, however...
* CoolSword: Luke was in the middle of building his own lightsaber before he arrived in Mask or Menace. He's since completed it.
%%* DeadpanSnarker: Han draws this out of Luke more often than not.
%%* DorkKnight: Slowly starting to work away from this, but he still has his moments.
* GoodIsNotSoft: Shows this every time someone presses his buttons.
* HeroesPreferSwords: While Luke could have easily gotten a weapon from Han, or just about anyone, he decided against it in favor of completing his lightsaber.
* HeroicBSOD:
** Experienced this when he realized that not only was his father in the world, but also that he was from the point before he became the hulking monstrosity that is the Darth Vader he knew.
** Experienced this again when Kylo Ren revealed that he was his nephew, because of Leia's marriage to Han, and that he turned to the Dark Side because of a failure in Luke's teachings.
* HeroicWillpower: Displays this constantly, especially when it comes to Han's 3 AM texts.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Han, to the point where many native fans [[HoYay drop off the Heterosexual part]].
* HumbleHero: The only time he mentions his accomplishment against the Death Star is to reassure the Rogue One cast that their mission was successful.
* IncompletelyTrained: His canon Jedi training was lacking, to the point that when he found out how Jedi used to be raised and trained, he wondered if that was deliberate.
* LastOfHisKind: Subverted in game, but also that he doesn't feel comfortable calling himself a Jedi yet.
%%* MoralityPet: Slips into this often when he's around his father, not that he realizes it.
* NiceGuy: Definitely one of the nicest guys in canon, and possibly in Mask or Menace as well.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: He may be small, but he has the potential to be one of the more powerful characters in game.
* RageAgainstTheMentor: Discovering how Jedi used to be raised and trained makes Luke question Obi-Wan and Yoda's teachings, to the point where he wonders if they were just teaching him to be a weapon to destroy the mistakes they made with Anakin.
%%* SympathyForTheDevil: Toward both Anakin Skywalker and Kylo Ren.
* TellMeAboutMyFather: Once he became more comfortable talking to him, Luke was more than anxious to learn about his father straight from his own mouth.
* WhatTheHellHero: Calls Han out often, though mostly over his penchant for texting him at three in the morning. This happened again when Han was painting his house eye-searing colors.

[[quoteright:280:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tvtropes_han_solo.png]]

->'''Canon:''' ''Franchise/StarWars''\
'''Canon Point:''' ''Film/ReturnOfTheJedi'', before being freed from the carbonite\
'''Code Name:''' NA\
'''Powers:''' Talk Shit Get Hit, Millennium Falconization, Carbon Freezing

The smuggler turned rebel and now inadvertent imPort hero, Han was initially dragged into the world of Mask or Menace after being frozen in carbonite by Darth Vader, and was very quickly followed by what, to him, might just be half the galaxy from all over the timeline. [[BlatantLies He's completely fine, though. Totally.]] It's not like the revelations of the future have hit him hard or anything, and he definitely is adjusting to being planet-bound ''really well''.
----
%%* BadassDriver: And is proud of it.
* BadassNormal: Considering that two of his powers are completely useless in combat and the last one is not something he likes to use often, he still counts.
* CanonImmigrant: While mainly from the new timeline, because the Han Solo movie hasn't been released by the time of his app, much of Han's backstory (what little of it isn't vaguely handwaved) has been lifted from the Legends timeline. Notably, the events of Literature/DeathTroopers is treated as canon.
* CombatPragmatist: Carries a gun and rams zombies with his taxi.
%%* DeadpanSnarker
* TheFerryman: Has a job as a taxi driver.
* TheGadfly: Once painted his house eye-searingly orange for kicks.
* GoodIsNotNice: While he's softened up, he's still a smuggler and a more pragmatic person than other heroes.
* HeroicBSOD: Hit one after Kylo Ren's revelation of his parentage, and is still feeling the repercussions from it.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Luke and Lando. The fans have taken notice of the former [[HoYay and taken off the heterosexual part]], much to their shared disbelief.
* HoldYourHippogriffs: The way he uses words like ''kriff'' and ''kark'' make it very clear what he's substituting them for.
* KnightInSourArmor: He's far more heroic now than he was in ''Film/ANewHope'', but he still retains a cynical outlook on things.
* OddFriendship: Has struck up a few, notably with [[VideoGame/{{Uncharted}} Elena Fisher]] and [[Film/WonderWoman2017 Steve Trevor]], his roommates, and [[Series/GameOfThrones Jon Snow]].
* ProperlyParanoid: Didn't trust Heaven Scent when they started asking for samples from imPorts. Some time later, guess who's responsible for clones going berserk?
* RammingAlwaysWorks: Resorts to this during a zombie crisis in De Chima, ramming hordes of zombies with his taxi.
-->[[ShoutOut Get in]] [[Franchise/{{Terminator}} if you wanna live!]]
* SeenItAll: After getting dragged to another world and meeting people from the past and the future, as well as the chaos of the Swear-Ins and the game in general, there's not much left that can truly faze Han.
* SympathyForTheDevil: Shares Luke's sympathy for Kylo Ren, mostly because of the revelation that Kylo Ren is his future son. Not so sympathetic towards Anakin Skywalker.
* TimeyWimeyBall: He's starting to get a headache from his castmates coming in from varying points in the timeline. Time will only tell how he'll react if anyone from [[Franchise/StarWarsLegends the Legends timeline]] shows up and throws it all into question again.
* TookALevelInKindness: Not wholly at the level of [[Film/TheForceAwakens himself thirty years on]] just yet, but he makes an effort to be kind to new arrivals, and has been known to take people out for drinks.
* WhatAPieceOfJunk: His Millennium Falconization ability essentially ensures that every car he steps into is this trope.

->'''Canon:''' [[Theatre/{{Heathers}} Heathers the Musical]]\
'''Canon Point:''' Post-Dead Girl Walking (Reprise), pre-I Am Damaged\
'''Code Name:''' Dead Girl Walking\
'''Powers:''' Slurpee Generation, Voice Mimicry, See the Me Inside of Me

A young girl from a small town in Ohio who got inadvertently caught up in a series of pranks GoneHorriblyWrong. Veronica was dragged into the game just as she'd [[HeroicSacrifice lugged a bomb out to her school's football field]] to spare everyone in her school from an explosive death, and since then has been trying her best to pretend to be a normal teenager, albeit one with superpowers and a status as a minor celebrity. Time will only tell if this will succeed.
----
* AmbiguouslyBi: Starts exploring during a WildTeenParty.
* TheAtoner: Not that she'll ''talk'' about what she's atoning for.
%%* ClusterFBomb: Fond of these.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Underneath the eighties aesthetic and snark is a truly horrifying amount of emotional damage. Incidentally, an ability of Veronica's allows her to see the DarkAndTroubledPast of others, at the cost of showing them hers. The worst part is, this power is tied directly into her emotions, so if she's too upset or angry she's liable to start seeing things. So far, she's only told Jyn about any of it.
%%* DeadpanSnarker: Much like in canon.
* DeadPersonConversation: Hallucinates [[AlphaBitch Heather Chandler]], [[JerkJock Kurt and Ram]] regularly, but has gotten good at not talking to them out loud.
* DeathSeeker: Displays a total disregard for her own life when big superhero battles are happening, rushing into danger with little to no care about herself.
* DrivenToSuicide: ''Thinks'' she died this way. She's not actually dead.
* TheEighties: Hails from 1989 and dresses that way.
* GoodColorsEvilColors: In a homage to her canon, during the clone plot, [[ReplacementGoldfish Veronica's clone Vee]] wears bright red as a contrast to Veronica's blue.
* GuileHero: While the "hero" part is debatable, and [[HeroicSelfDeprecation Veronica would certainly say she isn't]], she manages to bluff her way into the backstage area of [[ComicBook/TheWickedAndTheDivine Persephone's]] concert with a fake press ID.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Veronica's attitude towards her life in canon.
* HeroicBSOD: Landed in the game in the middle of one, and is still feeling the aftershocks.
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: Blames herself to some degree for the deaths of three of her classmates. To some degree, she isn't entirely wrong.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Is desperately trying to keep a lid on her DarkSecret and just be normal—not even a superhero.
* AnIcePerson: Sort of. She can generate slushies from her hands, but is much friendlier and more open.
%%* LovableAlphaBitch: Displays shades of this.
* OddFriendship: Develops a close one with her housemates [[Film/RogueOne Kaytoo, Jyn, and Cassian]], especially with Kaytoo, having taught him to swear. Outside of them, she's also pulling together a small group of friends her age, which includes [[Anime/RevolutionaryGirlUtena Utena]], [[Film/{{Brick}} Brendan Frye]] and [[Series/{{Riverdale}} Archie Andrews]], among others.
* OneSteveLimit: Averted when she crosses paths with [[Series/{{Riverdale}} Veronica Lodge]]. Ironically, Veronica ''Sawyer'' is no stranger to people with the same names, and even notes in her internal narration that they'd just need one more Veronica.
* ReplacementGoldfish: Had a clone during the clone plot that went by Vee, whose AlphaBitch tendencies were much, much worse than Veronica's.
* SanitySlippage: The player has noted that Veronica's ghosts, for ease of playing her, are hallucinatory.
%%* SecretKeeper: For her housemates.
* SignatureLaugh: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDLSfvBc-y4 Behold.]] It's adorably awkward.
%%* StepfordSmiler: The Depressed type.
* StepfordSnarker: There's an implication in some of her snider comments that she's hiding something.
* TrueBlueFemininity: Her signature color is blue. That being said, while she is trying, she's not exactly the gentlest person.

[[folder:Cinders]]

[[caption-width-right:206:"I knew this night would change everything… but I had no idea things would change this much."]]
->'''Canon:''' ''VisualNovel/{{Cinders}}''\
'''Canon Point:''' After the Grand Ball\
'''Code Name:''' Cinders\
'''Powers:''' Before Midnight, Fire Affinity

The protagonist of ''VisualNovel/{{Cinders}}''. Despite being from yet another Cinderella story, she doesn't often act the part of a fairy tale maiden. She ended up in Mask or Menace right after the night that was destined to change her life forever. Although jarred by the change, she adjusted quickly. After a brief time working for [[Comicbook/{{Lucifer}} Lucifer Morningstar]] (yes, '' that'' one), she ended up inheriting his bar, Revīvēscere. Although violence frightens her, she's not above using her abilities to protect herself or others.
----
* AmbiguouslyBi: Hit it off with the prince in her world, but also flirts with Persephone on occasion.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Empathetic and sweet, she is nonetheless fully capable of hurting people with her powers.
%%* BigDamnHeroes: Saves Charles Xavier when he's kidnapped.
%%* DeadpanSnarker: Oh, ''yes''.
* {{Deconstruction}}: She tends to do this to fairy tales in general, pointing out that the girls in them aren't very proactive.
* DeliberateValuesDissonance: She ''really'' doesn't understand modern drinking laws, and considers sixteen to be a reasonable drinking age (although she'll turn a blind eye to folks younger than that if she likes them).
* ElementalHairColors: Of the "fire wielding redhead" variety.
* EveryoneLooksSexierIfFrench: Her "real" name (which was invented for the setting), Gabrielle Lancret, implies her to be the medieval fantasy version of this.
* FieryRedhead: [[IncrediblyLamePun Har har.]] Jokes about her powers aside, however, she's an aversion, being more calculating and deadpan than the trope name.
* FracturedFairytale: She's from one, with her "fairy godmother" being the town witch.
* GenreSavvy: Knows very well what is expected of fairy tale maidens like her.
* GorgeousGarmentGeneration: One of her abilities allows her to switch between her standard rags and her ballgown.
* GracefulLadiesLikePurple: She prefers wearing purple over other colors.
* MsFanservice: Her ballgown is rather revealing, and her usual wardrobe often emphasizes her waist, neck, and chest.
* PlayingWithFire: Her abilities allow her to control, generate, and manipulate flames. She's also immune to fire.
* PluckyGirl: She directly asked ''the Devil'' for a job. It worked out well for her.
* SignificantGreenEyedRedhead: She's a version of Cinderella, and is not the usual blonde-haired, blue-eyed variety.
* SympathyForTheDevil: The literal version, but she also pities Inanna after what they did.

!!Anti-Hero Characters
This section is for characters that are [[GreyAndGrayMorality morally ambiguous]] or are good guys that [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold don't act the part]].

[[folder:Tohru Adachi]]
[[quoteright:206:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ad0_base0_8.png]]
[[caption-width-right:206:''Oh right. Tohru Adachi is a murderer of women.'']]
->'''Canon:''' ''VideoGame/Persona4''\
'''Canon Point:''' Post [[VideoGame/Persona4ArenaUltimax Ultimax]]\
'''Code Name:''' Uranus (in the Constellation)\
'''Powers:''' Persona, sharpshooting, enhanced endurance

A side character turned antagonist turned questionable protagonist in his canon, Adachi arrived in the world of Mask or Menace in 2015, and has been struggling to find his place in the world ever since. He's voiced no desire to return to his own world (for the obvious reasons), and does his best to serve others, working as a Private Investigator whose clientele largely consists of natives. He still struggles with this, however, as his ability to socialize and understand social situations is terrible at best. He has also been struggling to find who he is as a person, and struggles often to understand how he feels about his own personality.
----
* AccidentalMurder: He's admitted that his first murder of Mayumi Yamano was this, though also that he intentionally killed Saki Konishi after the fact.
* TheAloner: Many of his threads start out with him being by himself, or working on his own, and other characters interrupt him.
* TheAtoner: He stuck with a role in law enforcement, even though he was working for himself, for the soul purpose of him fulfilling his promise that there would be no more murders.
* BadassInANiceSuit: He came in with his canon work suit. [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] when it was revealed it was the ''only'' suit he owned, and he had to be forced to buy another one.
* BeneathSuspicion: While characters suspected that Adachi wasn't exactly the most morally straight character, ''no one'' suspected the depth of his crimes until they were revealed by Goro Akechi.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: This often comes out more in network posts, where no one can punch him for being himself. Where he's usually a nice person on the outside, his jerkass personality comes out every now and then.
* BrilliantButLazy: It comes up often that he's pretty smart, but he has almost zero motivation, mostly when it comes to taking care of himself.
%%* ButtMonkey: Other members of the Constellation often treat him as this.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: When he first arrived, it was his intention to try and make sure Johnathan Crane was more properly punished for his crimes by getting close to him and outing the depth of his misdeeds. That ended up shifting to Dooku and his Constellation when he realized it was a much greater threat.
* DeathSeeker: His sense of self preservation has eroded over the years, causing a few characters to call him out on being a little too eager to throw himself into situations where it's very likely he could die.
%%* DissonantSerenity: Often slips into this when he hits the limit of his tolerance for bullshit.
* TheDitz: More true than not, as he's relaxed more into his goofy personality as his real personality. [[ObfuscatingStupidity He still plays at it to push suspicion off of him]].
* EntitledBastard: He's admitted that he had it pounded into his head that his hard work in his past lead him to having an entitlement complex. He's struggling past this, but it still happens.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: He has a ''very'' difficult time processing it when someone is nice to him, often believing people have an ulterior motive for their kindness.
* EvilCounterpart: Shares a lot of similar traits with Yuuri Katsuki, including a fondness for Viktor Nikiforov that drives him crazy because he doesn't understand it.
* EvilIsPetty: Has admitted that his motives for murder were petty as hell.
* GlassCannon: Adachi's powers are really strong and useful, but he's really easy to take down when you get past them.
* ItsAllAboutMe: He has a lot of trouble understanding how people are affected by his actions, and instead [[AttentionWhore focuses on how it makes him feel]].
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: 90% of his interactions usually lead him to being a massive jerk at some point, but his intentions are usually kind.
%%* LargeHam: He gets along with Viktor a little ''too'' easily sometimes...
* MoralSociopathy: He works as a Private Investigator to make up for what he did not out of a sense of right and wrong, but because it was the best way to follow through with the rules he set up for himself in canon.
* OhCrap: After he was outed for his past deeds.
* ShockAndAwe: His new Persona dropped the wind attacks, but kept the lightning attacks.
%%* ShooTheDog: Does this often to Viktor. It never works.
* SmugSnake: That overconfidence didn't disappear entirely.
%%* StalkerWithACrush: To Viktor and Yuuri.
* SupernaturalGoldEyes: Adachi would still slip into this when he lost control of his powers, usually due to his emotions running high.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Unofficial, but a good way to describe his relationship with the ''VideoGame/Persona5'' team.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Subverted, as cabbage isn't actually his favorite food. He still eats like he's on a budget, however, often leading to [[LampshadeHanging lampshading]] by other characters.
* UnreliableNarrator: The story from his point of view doesn't exactly paint him as much of a monster as he was; only one person got the whole story.
* VillainHasAPoint: Sums up his relationship with Dooku, who often echos Adachi's feelings from canon. It doesn't mean he likes what he has to say, though.
* VomitingCop: Has admitted he still has trouble around violent crime scenes and has been sick in the past.
