!!Absalom (Stand: Satanic Coupler)
A mercenary hired by DIO to attack the Crusaders. His Stand is Satanic Coupler, a hellish and incredibly durable train.

* CoolTrain: His Stand takes the form of one. Of note is the fact that it can be seen by normal people despite not being a bound Stand. It's just that powerful.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: He cares for his sister Michal.
* EvilLuddite: He hates civilization and wants to kill the Stardust Crusaders for being part of it.
* FreudianExcuse: When he was a kid, he was fascinated by civilization, especially trains. His parents took him to the city, and were hit by a train and killed, causing him to resent civilization.

!!Michal (Stand: Dark Mirage)
Absalom's sister. Her Stand is Dark Mirage, which can create mirages and make them real.
----
* TheSpeechless: Is mute due to throat wounds she sustained in a train accident.

!!The Scribe Ani (Stand: Ptah)
A mummy-like immortal servant to DIO. His stand is Ptah, also known as The Book of Genesis or The Genesis of Universe. Ptah is a history book, and can turn its contents into reality, whether it be historical or legend.
----

![=GioGio=]'s Bizarre Adventure 2: Golden Heart, Golden Ring

!!Coniglio (Stand: The Cure)
A 17-year old Italian girl who has issues controlling her stand, The Cure. Named after Music/Band, it is a rabbit that can heal physical wounds, illness and emotional distress, growing bigger as it does so. If it absorbs too much pain it goes berserk, and grows stronger the more it is damaged.
----
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: Was ostracized by her peers in junior high for healing her best friend's scratched knee.
* HealingHands: The Cure's ability, only instead of just physical wounds it can even heal emotional wounds.
* MeaningfulName: "Coniglio" means "Rabbit" in italian.

!!Rigatoni (Stand: Public Image Limited)
A Passione hitman whose existence is known by only a few in the organization. He specializes in assassinating stand users and is known as the "Stand Killer." He is retired by the start of the story, but accepts a job from Sogliola so he can face off against Mista.
\
\
His stand is Public Image Limited (named after Music/PublicImageLtd), which he integrates with a sniper rifle bullet. Once the bullet hits a Stand user, it absorbs energy on contact. The more successful shots, the more energy it can store, allowing Rigatoni to possibly quadruple its speed and increase its damage and penetration.
----
* CastFromHitPoints: Enhancing a bullet consumes Rigatoni's Stand power, meaning that using his powers can potentially kill him. To counteract this, his Stand also has the ability to absorb energy from other Stand users.
* ColdSniper: Part of being an assassin.
* EdibleThemeNaming: "Rigatoni" is a kind of pasta.
* MageKiller: His Public Image Limited is the perfect weapon to hunt down other Stand Users.
* MeaningfulName: Rigatoni pasta has a tube-like shape to it. This can make it resemble the long, tube-like shape of a spent sniper bullet shell, which his Stand takes the form of.

!!Sogliola Lopez (Stand: Joy Division)
A Passione capo who is ordered by Diavolo to execute Bucciarati's group. His Stand is Joy Division (named after Music/JoyDivision), which can swap objects he touches with his right and left hands.
----
* TheChessmaster: Flawlessly executes an intricate plan that nearly kills the gang.
* EdibleThemeNaming: "Sogliola" is Italian for "sole fish".
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: On paper, being able to swap items from one hand to the other doesn't sound powerful, even being able to swap them through time. But Lopez makes impressive use of it regardless.

!Literature/JoJosBizarreAdventureFourthAnotherDay

!!Takuma Hasumi (Stand: The Book)
A high school student seeking revenge against his father. His Stand is The Book, a book that contains all of his memories.
----
* ArchnemesisDad: Takuma deeply hates his biological father Teruhiko for letting his mother Akari to die between two buildings, so he spends several years plotting his revenge against him.
* BestServedCold: Takuma's revenge against Teruhiko and his accomplice Hanae takes years of investigation and seduction of Chiho to come to fruition. Takuma has planned his every moves so it hurts Teruhiko as much as possible.
* BirthmarkOfDestiny: Takuma and his father Teruhiko share a horse-shaped mark on their shoulders, and Takuma's mark is a birthmark.
* BrotherSisterIncest: Knowingly seduced his half-sister, Chiho, so he could hurt his father, even though he was disgusted with himself.
* CursedWithAwesome: Takuma has an eidetic memory, but that doesn't mean he's a genius. It means that he cannot forget any bad blood between him and his former friends, and he cannot concentrate on anything because of a constant flow of memories resurfacing. It was so bad Takuma attempted suicide several times and only the apparition of The Book calmed his mind.
* DrivenToSuicide: Several times Takuma attempts suicide, first because of his eidetic memory which The Book thankfully permitted to control, and finally after Josuke defeats him and he doesn't have anything to live for anymore.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Once again, a seemingly harmless Stand is used with imagination to surprising and lethal effects. The Book is a record of Takuma's life and can make people relive Takuma's memories. However, he can use it on himself to learn any skill like knife throwing at an accelerated pace, and then Takuma can make people relive the time he was hit by a car or when he fell from several stories, without the memory of him being treated by doctors, then he can even kill them in one move. Case in point, Takuma manages to beat Okuyasu and nearly defeats Josuke despite his Stand being a simple book.
* PhotographicMemory: His Stand's ability in a nutshell. It might not seem like much, but he can use it to force his opponents to experience his memories with your mind making any injuries you experience real.
* TheUnfettered: Willing to do anything in pursuit of revenge, from murder to manipulating his half-sister into a relationship with him. He does feel some guilt for his actions though.
* VillainProtagonist: Takuma is the protagonist of the story, but also its villain, whom Josuke and co. are trying to catch.
* WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove: Takuma finds himself unable to truly love his half-sister (if not in the romantic sense, at least in a familial sense), at most having some affection for her.
* YourMindMakesItReal: The Book is able to make people relive one of Takuma's memories, and the body is fooled to the point it will change to reflect the memory. It can be very dangerous if your body begins to think it has been hit by a speeding car.

!!Chiho Futaba
An aspiring novelist researching Morioh's landmarks for ideas. She lives with her father, Teruhiko, who spoils her. She also falls in love with Takuma Hasumi, who unbeknownst to her is her half-brother.
----
* Bookworm: Loves reading and writing. Children's books are her favorite.
* BrotherSisterIncest: Takuma and Chiho develop a relationship, and Chiho even becomes pregnant with Takuma's child. However, Chiho didn't know their blood relation until she was pregnant, and Takuma was purposefully seducing her despite his disgust, all to take his revenge.
* BabiesEverAfter: In the epilogue, Chiho reveals that she is pregnant with Takuma's child, whom she is planning to give birth to.
* RescueRomance: Chiho was saved by an unknown student from a mugger several years before the events of the book and her savior became her idol. Chiho develops a friendship and then a romance with Takuma because she learns that Takuma is her savior. What she doesn't know is that it was a ploy from Takuma himself made to make her fall in love with him.
* SomeoneToRememberHimBy: Even after finding out the Takuma is her half-brother, she decides to keep her baby so that Takuma wouldn't have entirely wasted his life.

!!Akari Hirai
Takuma's biological mother.
----
* AndIMustScream: Akari Hirai is trapped in the space between two buildings, which is so narrow she can't even stretch her arms out. Because of a fence and another building blocking the sides, plus Teruhiko's Stand making everyone not notice Akari, she spends several months in here with nothing to do and the only thing that kept her sanity intact was the hope of escaping it.
* HopeSpot: During her imprisonment, Akari sees a cat and manages to tie a paper to it, hoping that someone would find her location. However it's revealed that the cat's owner is Teruhiko's accomplice, and that Teruhiko used the cat precisely to make Akari hope for something and not go mad from despair.

!!Teruhiko Futaba (Stand: Memory Of Jet)
A corrupt architect who's swindled millions of yen. His Stand is Memory Of Jet, which can wipe a target from people's perception.
----
* BitchInSheepsClothing: When Akari had met Teruhiko, he looked like a genuinely good-natured architect who wanted to help Morioh develop. Soon after, Akari discovers that Teruhiko has swindled millions of yens from his projects, and was murdered for this discovery.
* DotingParent: To his daughter, Chiho.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Teruhiko is a horrible person, but he genuinely adores his daughter Chiho. Takuma targets her precisely because it will hurt Teruhiko the most.

!Literature/PurpleHazeFeedback

* MusicalThemeNaming: Following in the footsteps of Fugo's Stand being named after a Music/JimiHendrix song, every new Stand introduced in this light novel is likewise named for a song Hendrix wrote (or covered, in the case of Cannolo's All Along Watchtower, named after Music/BobDylan's song "All Along the Watchtower").

!!Sheila E (Stand: Voodoo Child)

caption-width-right:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/newdoo.png

One of Giorno's personal bodyguards after he takes over Passione. She is sent to assist Fugo with taking out Passione's former narcotics team.
\
\
Her Stand is Voodoo Child, which can place lips on locations it punches. These lips repeat whatever was said near those locations. If Voodoo Child punches someone, then the lips will repeat that person's deepest secret, causing emotional damage and possibly death depending on the target's mental strength.
----
* ActionGirl: She essentially has Moody Blues's power, if it was able to actually fight and had its recording functions limited to audio only.
* BodyguardingABadass: She is the personal bodyguard of Giorno, who has one of the most powerful Stands in the entire series.
* Kiai: Notable for being the only spin-off novel character who has a Stand cry, which is "Erierierierieri...!"
* LethalHarmlessPowers: Voodoo Child can make lips grow into any surface it touches. It is surprisingly lethal because if Voodoo Child hits someone, the appearing lips will repeat the victim's darkest secrets, causing a fatal psychic shock.
* Revenge: Her initial reason for joining Passione was to avenge the death of her sister by Illuso's hands, but she's calmed down ever since Giorno told her that Fugo was the one to take him out.
* Stripperific: She's about as modestly dressed as Trish is.
* YouKilledMyFather: Illuso of La Squadra killed her sister, and Sheila joined Passione to get to and kill him from the inside...but Fugo beat her to it.
* YouRemindMeOfX: The resolve in her eyes reminds Fugo of Narancia.

!!Cannolo Murolo (Stand: All Along Watchtower)

caption-width-right:300: https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/all_along_watch_tower.jpg

The Passione Data Analysis Team Supervisor. He is part of the team sent after Passione's former narcotics team.
\
\
His Stand is All Along Watchtower, an animate deck of cards that divines information.
----
* DeathDealer: Downplayed. While All Along Watchtower manifests as a deck of cards, they have an uncharacteristically low offensive capability compared to other swarm Stands.
* EdibleThemeNaming: The only one in Purple Haze Feedback to be named after food; Cannoli (plural of cannolo) are rolled-up pastries that are deep-fried and filled with ricotta, a type of cheese.
* GrumpyOldMan: Even though he's thirty.
* HiddenDepths: He was a petty ManipulativeBastard only out for himself but meeting Giorno made him ashamed of his former self, although he doesn't show this to anyone.
* KnowledgeBroker: Information is power, and finding out what that information is is a key skill that All Along Watchtower provides. [[spoiler:The enormous range of this Stand allows Murolo to spy on anyone and anything, allowing him to easily track down the Narcotics Team and find out normally restricted information; his confidence in his knowledgeable status has lead to him growing overconfident and amoral in his place in Passione's hierarchy in the past.]]
* NoSell: Thanks to how his Stand splits into 53 cards, Murolo can tank almost any attack induced by a Stand as the damage is split in one fifty-third. It allows him to walk unscathed despite Night Bird Flying inflicting the symptoms of withdrawal into him and absorb the damage reflection of Dolly Dagger.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: All Along Watchtower looks like a set of playing cards who simply divine information in an obscure and unreliable way; Hermit Purple, the "weakest Stand" of Part 3 had faster and less cryptic divination, in addition to being shown to perform tasks outside this specialization like functioning as rope. spoiler:However, it is revealed they are simpler and more efficient than thought. Since they are cards, they can hide anywhere and simply spy for Murolo by hiding near subjects of interest. Murolo simply pretends they divine information to throw off enemies.
* PersonalityPowers: He suggests that Colony-type Stands -- Bad Company, Harvest, Metallica, and his own All Along Watchtower -- are produced as a result of being TheUnfettered.
* TheParanoiac: Murolo is overly suspicious of everything, because he is wary of traitors and backstabbers and he himself fears being pinned as one by the new management.
* ShoutOut: His haircut and eye markings make him resemble Alex DeLarge.

!!Massimo Volpe (Stand: Manic Depression)

caption-width-right:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/manic_depression.jpg

Formerly the lead developer of Passione's narcotics team, he joined the gang after his family's debt increased significantly.
\
\
His Stand is Manic Depression, which can manipulate an organism's biological functions when it pierces it with its thorns. It can also convert any kind of powder-like substance into a powerful opiate, which eventually reverts to its original form after two weeks.
----
* AdaptationOriginConnection: Tonio Trussardi is his big brother, who changed his name and ran off overseas to cook against the wishes of their father, leaving Massimo behind.
* ArchEnemy: To Fugo.
* BadPowersBadPeople: Manic Depression's powers are practically the exact opposite of his brother's Pearl Jam. Pearl Jam can empower food to relieve illnesses and make those who consume its food healthier; Manic Depression can temporarily increase the biological powers of any living organism, but at a severe cost afterwards.
* BigBad: Is the primary villain of Purple Haze Feedback.
* BioManipulation: Massimo's Manic Depression revolves around manipulating organic matter, to synthesize high-grade narcotics and also manipulate the body's functions. Massimo can also heal others, power his physical might to the point he can stop a speeding car and lift it, or make the heart beat to fast it explodes.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Has a Purple Haze capsule burst directly onto his face; needless to say, his death followed shortly afterwards.
* DragonTheirFeet: In the narcotics team, he essentially plays second-in-command to the capo Vladimir, but the latter sacrifices himself to delay Fugo's team so that his subordinates can escape.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: He's fond of Angelica, and uses his Stand to relieve the symptoms of her illness.
* FantasticDrug: The drugs that Manic Depression can create from salt. It can also essentially function as a Fantastic Steroid as well, drastically intensifying the bodily functions of a desired target but with long-term side effects.
* HateAtFirstSight: Massimo mentions hating Fugo as soon as he first laid eyes on him despite his general apathy. It is because he thinks they were not so different as two teenagers not caring about others but Fugo pretending to care enraged him.
* HumanoidAbomination: Manic Depression looks awful. It's about the size and shape of a fetus, but all of its body is either disproportionately sized, covered in boils like it's in the process of melting, skeletal, or leaking some sort of vomit-like ooze.
* WhenHeSmiles: Massimo is noted by Angelica to be beautiful when he smiles, although he's usually keeping a neutral face.
* VillainousBreakdown: Angelica's untimely death in front of Massimo makes the latter snap and go on a rampage to kill Fugo.

!!Angelica Attanasio (Stand: Night Bird Flying)

caption-width-right:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/night_bird_flying.jpg

A member of Passione's old narcotics team, Angelica is a sickly drug addict, but is still rather chipper.
\
\
Her Stand is Night Bird Flying, a bird that can inflict fatal drug addiction onto targets so long as they are in range.
----
* CloudCuckoolander: Absent-minded and spacey.
* FunctionalAddict: Downplayed. Manic Depression's drugs numb the pain of her illness, but she's gotten hooked on them as a result; she's still happier that she has them, even though she is kind of crazy.
* MassHypnosis: Night Bird Flying can create mass delusion and make people fall under Angelica's control as part of its power of recreating the symptoms of drug withdrawal.

!!Vladimir Kocaqi (Stand: Rainy Day, Dream Away)

caption-width-right:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rainy_day_dream_away.jpg

The capo of the Passione narcotics team. Raised during the second world war, he grew up to become a proud Sicilian, steeled by his past and living a life free of regret.
\
\
His Stand is Rainy Day, Dream Away, and it takes the form of light rain. If someone is feeling a certain emotion within Rainy Day, Dream Away, Vladimir can "lock" it so they can only feel that emotion.
----
* BattleInTheRain: Enforced by his Stand, which is the rain.
* CoolOldGuy: He may be a gangster, but he's gentle and wise and cares deeply for his team, spending time giving them sound counsels. His TheReasonYouSuckSpeech tips Fugo toward his CharacterDevelopment, Giorno respects him despite being the one who called for his death to start with, and Rainy Day, Dream Away was created and initially used because he wanted to give his dying sister the illusion that she survived and lived to old age.
* EmotionControl: Kocaqi's Rainy Day Dream Away can lock an emotion or thought a victim is currently having while inside its rain. For instance, if you ever feel out of balance, Vladimir will make it so you'll always be or inversely if you feel joy, Vladimir can trick you into thinking you've led a happy life until your death. It is so powerful even Diavolo didn't dare to cross Kocaqi and his team.
* LotusEaterMachine: Vladimir used Rainy Day Dream Away to give his dying little sister a semblance of happiness just as she was dying from a bullet wound. Later, he uses it to trap Fugo in a dream where he's with his old team, and all of them are alive and happy. It almost works, until Fugo notices Mista take the fourth slice of cake.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Vladimir delivers one to Fugo, pointing out each of his flaws to his face and Fugo unconsciously takes it at heart.
* TheScream: Look closely at Rainy Day, Dream Away; each one of the raindrops is detailed with a screaming face.

!!Vittorio Cataldi (Stand: Dolly Dagger)

caption-width-right:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dolly_dagger.png

A member of the Passione narcotics team, and a crazy, masochistic thug.
\
\
His Stand is Dolly Dagger, a dagger that can reflect 70% of the damage its user takes onto the person reflected in its blade, while Vittorio himself takes the remaining 30%.
----
* AttackReflector: Dolly Dagger reflects 70% of any damage into someone reflected by the blade. Vittorio uses it to lethal effects against Sale, but this ability falls flat against Murolo.
* CallBack: Dolly Dagger is basically an improved version of Highway to Hell from Stone Ocean.
* GoodScarsEvilScars: Covered from tip to toe in knife wounds, presumably self-inflicted by Dolly Dagger.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Vittorio can inflict this on others as Dolly Dagger reflects 70% of all damage done to him. It backfires against Murolo though since his decentralized Stand means he and his cards each only take 1.3% of damage from each stab wound.
* RequiredSecondaryPowers: Zigzagged and downplayed. While Vittorio doesn't have any means of recovery from his wounds, he doesn't suffer the full brunt of them either. It would be more useful if he didn't suffer them at all, but considering the fact that he's a masochist who believes that pain can fill the emptiness in his life, Dolly Dagger suits him.
* WhenAllYouHaveIsAHammer: Dolly Dagger is extremely useful in reflecting attacks back, but that is literally all it can do. Even when Murolo demonstrated how it barely affected him, all Vittorio could do was continue to stab himself over and over.

!Literature/JorgeJoestar

!!Joji Joestar

A 15-year old detective from a parallel Earth. He goes to Morioh to investigate a murder, and gets tangled in a bizarre adventure.
----
* AlternateSelf: Of [[spoiler:Tsukumojuku Kato, of all people. Lacking the unnatural beauty of his counterpart in the Universe 37, he was adopted into the Joestar family instead of Kato. Because this broke EternalRecurrence of events major time, the entire universe has gone OffTheRails, resulting in the events of the book. Alternatively, he may be a counterpart of the Detective God Tsukumo Juku from the original JDC canon. Those two books are weird like that]].
* TheChosenOne: Was chosen by the Beyond to be protagonist of this story, along with the Jorge Joestar.
* ImmuneToFate: By the virtue of not being Joestar by blood and being a Singularity, he is not the subject to the predestined flow of events, which allows him to ruin the plans of Dio Brando.
* KidDetective: At 15 years old.
* MeaningfulName: "Jōji" is one of the names for the kanji iteration mark (々), which signalizes repeating the previous character while not in itself being / looking like the same character.
* OddFriendship: With Kars, of all people.
* RealityWarper: By the nature of being chosen by the Beyond , he can do anything and make anything happen, as long as he finds a plausible reason(s) for why it could or should happen.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Since he is adopted and does not share the blood of Joestars, he is not a subject to the divination power of "The Passion", which allows him to massively derail Dio's plans by virtue of not being accounted for in Dio's future predictions.

!!Tsukumojuku Kato
Jorge Joestar'sGeorge Joestar II from the original universe best friend. Originating from the Otaro's earlier novel "Tsukumojuku", he somehow travels to Joji's dimension.
----

* BerserkButton: Her hair style was just as much a tribute to a beloved figure in her past as Josuke's was, so Josuke himself making fun of her hair gets her enraged enough to slap him.
* HereditaryHairstyle: Like her cousin, she sports a long lock of hair in front of her face. Invoked on Ryoko's part, as she styled her hair in memory of him.

caption-width-right:320:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/parrotstand.png

A parrot formerly belonging to Pet Shop's original owner, who was murdered after trying to escape from DIO. Hol Horse is tasked with returning it to the owner's mother. Being trained alongside Pet Shop, it had awakened to its Stand, which can manifest punch card strips that take over its target, forcing them to act according to previous events it has observed by emitting sounds or voices associated with the event.
\
\
Pet Sounds is named after Music/TheBeachBoys album, Music/PetSounds.
----
* AnimalStereotypes: The parrot's Stand uses sound to make its victims repeat old memories, much like parrots repeat heard dialogue.
* AreaOfEffect: Pet Sounds's Stand can manipulate multiple people at a time, such as when it used the memories of women who gave themselves up as food for DIO to control a group of chefs to attack Hol Horse.
* BlindWeaponmaster: Pet Sounds wears a falconer hood covering its eyes, but it doesn't seem to slow the parrot down nor lower its capability to be a Stand user.
* BondCreatures: spoiler:Because it's still an animal, Pet Sounds's willpower is limited and to record all of the events requires all of its mind, thus limiting its actual usage to manifest its Stand. As such, Karaiya links himself to Pet Sounds to be able to use its Stand to full effect.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Invoked by Pet Sounds's Stand. It attacks people from afar by forcing them to listen to certain voices (sometimes by stuffing their bodies with punch cards), which then control them to reenact memories (usually of DIO) against their will. The victims are fully aware of what's happening, but they are powerless to stop themselves.
* ClipItsWings: spoiler:After attacking a subway full of people using its Stand, Hol Horse had no choice but to shoot Pet Sounds down to avoid further casualties, lopping off one of its wings with Emperor's bullet. However, it was later revealed that Pet Sounds was completely fine.
* CompellingVoice: A variant. When someone hears a voice made by Pet Sounds, they'll be forced to relive a past event, and has to do according to the actions in the event.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: To Pet Shop. While the latter willingly committed acts of villainy, Pet Sounds has no real will of its own and only does what is commanded of it. It was even docile during the ten years since Stardust Crusaders until the BigBad found it.
* FamilyThemeNaming: Like its "brother" Pet Shop, Pet Sounds has the word "pet" in its name.
* FightingDownMemoryLane: The parrot's punch cards MindRape their host into living out a past event which Pet Sounds has observed (usually a memory of DIO). When used on Hol Horse, it makes him live out the moment he was about to shoot DIO. Some more details:
** A person can be forced to relive a past event even if they're not involved in it, such as Inspector Hiraoka being forced to relive Wilson Phillips running over pedestrians.
** Pet Sounds can also control when to stop its victim from reliving an event, causing their actions to diverge from the event in question. When Hol Horse was forced to reenact his memory of him attempting to shoot DIO, Pet Sounds stops mimicking DIO's voice just before the moment where Hol Horse would have stopped pulling the trigger in the memory; thus, Hol Horse's finger kept moving to shoot.
** The effect of its Stand can be broken by remembering another more vivid memory (such as when Hol Horse remembering himself witnessing Kakyoin's final Emerald Splash), or experiencing a strong emotion (such as Josuke running to attack Kiyohara in rage).
* InconsistentSpelling: The Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak manga writes Pet Sounds's name without an interpunct (i.e. ペットサウンズ Petsounds), while the novelization writes it with (i.e. ペット・サウンズ Pet Sounds).
* LogicalWeakness:
** Since Pet Sounds's Stand's Ability forces the victim's mind to relive a past event, a surefire way to break free from it is to render yourself unconscious; in Chapter 11, Josuke manages to break himself and Boingo free from Pet Sounds's influence by strangling their own necks with ropes.
** Its ability also requires Pet Sounds to
* LotusEaterMachine: This is its Stand's effect, trapping people into previously-experienced events. Anything that happens via the relived memories feels real, but things such as actual wounds will fail to manifest. The villains who want to take advantage of Pet Sounds will need to finish off their targets with some other method, such as Kiyohara sniping subway goers with a crossbow, or .
* MeaningfulName: Pet Sounds was a pet parrot owned by the same person who trained Pet Shop, and it uses sounds to activate its Stand and control people.
* MindControlEyes: Anyone caught under the influence of Pet Sounds's Stand will have their eyes gain a dimpled texture like punch cards, similar to the eyes of the Stand Moody Blues.
* MythologyGag:
** Pet Sounds is likely a reference to the unnamed parrot seen with DIO early in the original Stardust Crusaders manga, which never showed up again and was fully replaced with Pet Shop in the anime.
** If anyone is controlled by Pet Sounds's Stand, their eyes will turn blank and gain a circular dimpled texture, similar to the eyes of Moody Blues from Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureGoldenWind. Much like Moody Blues, Pet Sounds's Stand's ability involves replaying past events.
* NoNameGiven: Pet Sounds's Stand is not given a name, in both the Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak manga and its novelization.
* PersonalityPowers: Pet Sounds is a parrot, one of the few birds that can learn and mimic human speech, so, naturally, its Stand can make its victims repeat old memories.
* SiblingYinYang: Pet Shop was the sadistic and persistent bird of the two, while Pet Sounds is far more rulebound.
* UnexplainedRecovery:
* VoiceChangeling: Pet Sounds can mimic just about any voice, from human speech to the sound of a helicopter flying. Hol Horse theorizes that Pet Sounds has memorized voices from at least 10 years prior.

* AxCrazy: He gets a thrill out of killing, starting with him shooting innocent animals. When Pet Sounds infects the entire subway station, he uses this as an excuse to fire at people indiscriminately.
* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: Ryohei reveals at the start of Chapter 8 that Kiyohara kept a collection of videos featuring him shooting animals to death. The subway crisis was him "graduating".
* HuntingTheMostDangerousGame: After Pet Sounds's attack in the subway is averted, he recalls that hunting down humans gave him more thrills than animals. He would have treated Josuke's hunt in the same manner, had Josuke not snuck up from behind and beat the crap out of him.

The BigBad of the story. A police officer at Morioh's local precinct, he secretly holds a deep-seated hatred for humanity and wants to transcend them, inspired by his vampiric grandfather's devotion to Kars. He's been secretly enabling Pet Sounds and Kiyohara to attack civilians out of believing them to be useful, and sees Thoth as his ticket to controlling the future.
----
* AlliterativeName: Kazuki Karaiya.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Josuke grants Karaiya his wish of "being above everyone" by knocking him into a tarp, wires, and a blowtorch. The tarp's cords and torch's tubing wrap around him while the latter turns on, lifting Karaiya high above the town in a makeshift hot air balloon.
* BreakTheHaughty: In Chapter 13, Karaiya is shocked when Josuke uses Crazy Diamond to clock him in the face after seeing through his lie, effectively shattering the arrogance he had for the first time in his life.
* DirtyCop: Karaiya is revealed to be this in Chapter 8, allowing criminals like Kiyohara to roam the streets so long as they're "useful".
* Foil: To Hol Horse. Karaiya and Hol Horse are both servants of a BigBad, with Hol Horse serving DIO and Karaiya posthumously serving Kars. However, while Hol Horse wasn't loyal to DIO and tries his hardest to sever his ties with him, Karaiya sees Kars as an inspiration to become all-powerful and transcend humanity itself.
* FreudianExcuse: Karaiya's grandfather was one of the many vampires made by Kars in Part 2. After witnessing Kars become the Ultimate Lifeform, he revered the Pillar Man and strived to be on top of the world like him. Decades later, he put his dreams into Karaiya; he urged his grandson to never open his heart to other humans and become better than all of them. He even gave him a piece of his vampire essence so they could stand on top of the world together one day.
* InTheBack: Karaiya tried to attack Josuke from behind after he managed to break out of Pet Sounds's illusion. It doesn't work and Karaiya gets clocked in the face by Crazy Diamond.
* Jerkass: At first glance, he looks like a kind and respectful police officer, but in reality, Karaiya has an ego the size of Jupiter. He's a sadistic, smug, misanthropic asshole who sees himself above people and only gives a rat's ass about others when he needs them for his plans.
* NotSoStoic: Karaiya's arrogance and stoicism break when Josuke clocks him in the face with Crazy Diamond in Chapter 13.
* PaperTiger: While he has access to Pet Sounds's Stand, he's almost impossible to confront directly. However, after Josuke finds out his WeaksauceWeakness and uses Crazy Diamond to extract Karaiya's earlobe out of Pet Sounds, he becomes little more than a helpless man in a Stand user's presence.
* TheSocialDarwinist: Following in the example of his personal god, Kars, he sees humanity as inherently repulsive and desires to transcend the social ladder, with him only seeing interest in those he considers "useful".
* SoftSpokenSadist: When interrogating Boingo about Thoth, he doesn't raise his voice, but still uses dirty tactics to try and get information out of him.
* TheStoic: At least, he pretends to be. When he's working with Ryohei Higashikata at the precinct, he doesn't show any signs of emotion and just makes off-handed comments on their situations. However, when he's alone, he drops the façade and goes full-blown ham over his rants.
* VillainousBreakdown: After Josuke incapacitates Pet Sounds and removes the piece of his ear inside the bird, Karaiya panics as he's left at Josuke's mercy and screams at him to stay away.

----
* AintTooProudToBeg: When Joseph is about to destroy his stand, he begs him to stop as his twisted hobby is everything to him.
* BadassBoast: Claims that not even DIO would be able to resist falling under Strange Relation's power.
* EmptyShell: Without his stand, he forgets the meaning of his existence and becomes unable to walk. All he does afterward is think back to when he was a baby.
* EvilOldFolks: He's 89 years old and uses his stand on other stand users for fun.
* ForTheEvulz: He's not working for DIO, though he is aware of him, he's just attacking the Crusaders for kicks. Once he has them under his control, he sends them out to attack people and things for his own amusement.
* MindControlMusic: Strange Relation's main ability is to play music that can control people, though only stand users can hear the melody.
* MusicalAssassin: His stand can defend itself through low-frequency sound waves.
* NoNameGiven: He's never referred to by name, and even he refers to himself only as the 'Strange Old Man'.

An original character introduced in the Manga/StoneOcean one-shot spinoff Fujiko's Bizarre Worldly Wisdom -- Whitesnake's Miscalculation. She is a Japanese-born inmate at Green Dolphin Street Prison who sells erotica art to other inmates. Upon noticing her talent, Whitesnake granted her the Stand disc of Bad Romance by Whitesnake, which allows her to control the mental state of those who she gives a drawing to.
\
\
Bad Romance is named after the Music/LadyGaga song, "Bad Romance".
----
* AlliterativeName: Her name is "Fujiko Fujiyama".
* AmbiguouslyGay: Her interest with Jolyne was a trait given to her by Whitesnake's discs, but Pucci clearly did not intend for her to become so immediately obsessed with her, nor for that obsession to then verge into worship as she starts drawing Jolyne as various religious figures, hinting at some form of attraction.
* ArtAttacker: Like Rohan, her stand is connected to her art. In order to be able to use it, someone needs to get a drawing from her to form a connection, and from them on, she can influence the person emotional status as she draws.
* BerserkButton: According to Pucci, stopping her from drawing. She's in prison because she stabbed her landlord to death after he (in good faith) told her to quit drawing and go to a university.
* Power-Powered: Pucci steals back Bad Romance from her when he realizes she is more likely to help and worship Jolyne than to stop her. Well, that and because she was drawing Jolyne as religious figures. Which did not please the priest.
* GoneHorriblyRight: Well, with Jolyne being influenced by her power, Pucci could find a way to advance his plan while Jolyne was incapacitated -- exactly what he intended Fujiko to do with her Stand and her perverted tastes. Instead, Fujiko's mood was so inspired by Jolyne's positive feedback that she started to portray her in religious artwork, which is blasphemous to Pucci, a priest.
* IDidntMeanToTurnYouOn: This is what her power was doing to Jolyne. It's unclear whether Fujiko herself knew this happening.
* NearVillainVictory: Or something... If anything else, Jolyne was completely at her mercy and there was nothing she could have done to stop her from... making her aroused and then temporarily granting her enlightenment in the middle of a yoga session. She was only stopped by Pucci himself when he realized she was making religious drawings of Jolyne.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: She ran her finger over Jolyne's lip, neck, and breast upon meeting her. Jolyne was not amused.
* Synchronization: A unique variation is the basis of her stand ability, Bad Romance. When drawing a target, they will be influenced by how the Stand User draws them. Pucci was hoping that Fujiko's perverted art of Jolyne would incapacitate her as she would be too... bothered to focus on getting Jotaro's Stand Disc. Unfortunately, Bad Romance also works in the other direction, as seen when Jolyne started to reach spiritual enlightenment once Fujiko slipped into drawing religious art of her.
* UnusualEyebrows: Her eyebrows are small and round, and upon close inspection, it's noticeable that they're shaped like speech bubbles.
* VillainousCrush: Unintentionally invoked by Pucci, who wrote her disc to have an interest in Jolyne. By which he meant she’d take interest as a Shunga artist. One compliment from Jolyne on a sketch Fujiko made of her, and Fujiko started blushing. The she went on a drawing frenzy making multiple portraits for Jolyne.
