42	* DefrostingIceKing: It's widely believed that because of James, Isolt's husband, telling William after the Pukwudgie had saved his whole family that he was glad that he had named one of the houses of Ilvermorny Pukwudgie after William, William's heart had softened as he decided to move his Pukwudgie family to live in Ilvermorny and become the school's private security/maintenance service.
43	* IOweYouMyLife: He becomes indebted to Isolt after she saves his life from a Hidebehind.
44	* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He's reluctant to help out humans but is fond of Isolt and even comes to her rescue.
45	* OneSteveLimit: Averted. Isolt gives him her father's name of William when he refused to give her his real name. It actually becomes a plot point during Gormlaith's attack. Thinking all to be lost, Isolt cried out, hardly knowing what she was saying, for her father for help. The Pukwudgie instead came to Isolt and her family's rescue believing that Isolt had called for him.
46	* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: William is not his real name. However, Isolt calls him this because he refuses to give his true name as part of Pukwudgie tradition.
47	* {{Tsundere}}: Even though he and his fellow Pukwudgies claim to despise their jobs at Ilvermorny, they willingly come back every school year without being asked. William even visits Isolt's grave every year and yet vehemently denies being the same William that befriended her.
