----
[[foldercontrol]]
!'''The Carrangers'''
[[folder:In General]]
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: To the [[Series/KousokuSentaiTurboranger Turborangers]] as automobile-themed Sentai teams. The key difference between them is while the Turborangers are high-school "teenagers with attitude", the Carrangers are a group of unremarkable car shop employees. The Turborangers are mentored by a human professor and a fairy, while the Carrangers are mentored by an alien kid. And lastly, the Turborangers have a Black Ranger, while the Carrangers have a Green Ranger. Even their respective Giant Robos contrast each other: the Turborangers' first Giant Robo utilizes an energy sword attack to finish off its opponents, while the Carrangers' first Giant Robo kills them with a SpinAttack. Additionally, the Turborangers' second Giant Robo is a TransformingMecha spacecraft that can combine with the first one for a Super Gattai formation, while the Carrangers' second Giant Robo is a CombiningMecha made up of five transformable Giant Robos and its limbs are interchangable with the first one.
* CoolCar: As with the Turborangers, they're themed after cars, but much more prevalent here.
* FatalFlaw: The Carrangers have three: 1) They don't have a definite leader (at least until Episode 32), 2) their increasing overconfidence, and 3) they can be irresponsible at times.
* {{Magitek}}: They're an automobile-themed Sentai team who possess the Kuru-Magic Power.

[[folder:Kyousuke Jinnai/Red Racer]]
!!Kyousuke Jinnai/[[red:Red Racer]] | [-Actor: Creator/YujiKishi-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/red_racer_kyosuke.jpg]]
A 23-year-old test driver for Pegasus Auto Garage. Though he is quite the massive idiot, he got the fiery spirit of a Sentai Red.
----
* BerserkButton: If you know what's good for you, don't hurt Dappu or his friends.
* ComesGreatResponsibility: He really only wanted to drive his boss's cool car, but eventually wises up to his responsibilities.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Kyousuke comes off as a bigger dimwit than his spiritual predecessor [[Series/KousokuSentaiTurboranger Riki Honoo]] in terms of being the Red Ranger of their respective vehicle-themed Sentai teams. Unlike Riki, who despite his hyperactive disorder tendencies, he has a good leadership skills as a StandardizedLeader from the beginning compared to Kyousuke, who takes time to become a proper one once his CharacterDevelopment kicks in.
* CoolSword: Fender Sword, so named because it makes up the front end of the Giga Formula.
* DatingCatwoman: [[spoiler: Beauty Zonnette is madly in love with his Red Racer persona. He at first rejects her because it comes out of nowhere for him, but he eventually decides he wants to start out as just friends with her.. Though unlike in the cases of both [[Series/HikariSentaiMaskman Takeru]] and [[Series/ChoujinSentaiJetman Ryu]], this is mostly parodied.]]
* IdiotHero: Safe to say that the trend of the Red Ranger being this started with him. Although, he wasn't the only idiot of the team (it takes [[Series/DenjiSentaiMegaranger the next team]] for the Red to be the sole IdiotHero)
* LawOfChromaticSuperiority: One time, he successfully fought a Gorotsuki unhenshined, with just a sword, just to prove his love for Zonnette.
* TheLeader: Red Ranger, duh. It isn't until after VRV Master talks some sense into him that he actually starts ''acting'' like one though.
* StarCrossedLovers: [[spoiler: With Zonnette... sort of.]]
* TookALevelInBadass: When he finally starts acting like a leader. (As with everything else, it's initially ''the greatest parody of LawOfChromaticSuperiority you will ever see''.)
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Naoki Domon/Blue Racer]]
!!Naoki Domon/[[blue:Blue Racer]] | [-Actor: Yoshihiro Masujima-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blue_racer_naoki.jpg]]
The youngest member of the Pegasus Auto Garage who works as a car designer.
----
%%* KidAppealCharacter
* FriendToAllLivingThings: The only guy to find the alien creature Beager cute. Beyond that, when he was young, he brought many animals to his parents, wanting to keep them.
* GunsAkimbo: Muffler Guns, which come in a pair and make up the rear spoiler of the Giga Formula.
* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy: Feminine Boy to Natsumi's Masculine Girl. Funny enough, Natsumi also wants him as a little brother.
* TheSmartGuy: He's the car designer at Pegasus.
* YamatoNadeshiko: Despite being male, he has the feminine politeness thing going for him and, because he's a racer, he has the iron will associated with the trope.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Minoru Uesugi/Green Racer]]
!!Minoru Uesugi/[[green:Green Racer]] | [-Actor: Yoshihiro Fukuda-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/green_racer_minoru.jpg]]
A guy from Osaka who specializes in sales.
----
* TheBigGuy: He's the muscle of the Carrangers.
* HandCannon: Engine Cannon, which makes up the main body of the Giga Formula and Formula Nova.
* TheIdiotFromOsaka: A bumbling car salesman from Osaka to be precise. He even sent the Giga Booster to the wrong address ''by complete and utter accident!''
* SmallNameBigEgo: A mild case. He a badass as a Carranger, yet his habit of trying to project does cause trouble (Him thinking the Carrangers should do kids homework, nearly blurting out there secret identity at time, etc).
* SuperSentaiStance: In one episode, he loses his Accel Changer key while practicing this trope.
* WasItAllALie: Has this reaction towards OO Batton when the latter turns out to have been faking his attempts at turning good and befriending him, as he felt that Batton deep down truly appreciated their friendship despite it starting as a mere deception, when Batton seems to listen to him but ultimately relents from turning good out of fear of Exhaus' retribution, Minoru tearfully leads RV Robo with VRV Robo's limbs to strike him down.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: He is terrified of lightning, as he was struck by lightning when he was kid while fishing. He gets over it by eating electric eels.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Natsumi Shinohara/Yellow Racer]]
!!Natsumi Shinohara/[[gold:Yellow Racer]] | [-Actor: Yuka Motohashi-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yellow_racer_natsumi_1.jpg]]
A tough-as-nails woman who works as a fixer, she has a special wrench. Also may be the only Carranger with some common sense.
----
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Both Natsumi and [[Series/KousokuSentaiTurboranger Shunsuke Hino]] are the Yellow Rangers who were lancers of their respective vehicle-themed Sentai team. While Shunsuke is the least straighlaced of his group due to his childish personality, Natsumi is the more level-headed of her group.
* TheLancer: Is actually quite competent at her unmorphed job, contrasting with Kyousuke being a useless twit. Also the closest one to OnlySaneMan, since she's pretty much the one who objects the [[DatingCatwoman Kyousuke/Zonnette relation]].
* HeroicBSOD: After MM Shuurisukii stole her legendary wrench in Episode 44, though Dragon Cruiser snaps her out of it.
* MagicFeather: Her legendary wrench, which she later discovered she didn't really need.
* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy: Masculine Girl to Naoki's Feminine Boy.
* PowerFist: Side Knuckles, which make up the bottom sides of the Giga Formula and Formula Nova, and effectively work as very large brass knuckles with a taser function.
* SheCleansUpNicely: In a swimsuit, anyway.
* [[TheSmartGuy The Smart Girl]]: She's the mechanic at Pegasus.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Tomboy to Youko's Girly Girl.
* WrenchWench: Really skilled at it, it's actually an integral part of her backstory.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Youko Yagami/Pink Racer]]
!!Youko Yagami/[[pink:Pink Racer]] | [-Actress: Atsuko Kurusu-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pink_racer_yoko.jpg]]
A young woman with a romantic-driven personality who wishes to marry a handsome and rich man.
----
* BerserkButton: Since she loves eating sweets and is conscious of her weight, she gets furious whenever someone calls her "heavy" or messed up her weight and beats up the Gorotsuki PP Rappa for it.
* BigEater: She ends up thinking that she's gained too much weight sometimes as a result of this.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Mild case compare to some.
* GirlyGirl: She has a very girly personality, ranging from reading fortune-telling magazine articles to having dreams of being an IdolSinger and marrying a rich husband.
* NoSenseOfDirection: Part of the reason why she helps make the Car Navick.
* PinkMeansFeminine: Outside her Carranger suit, she's usually seen wearing a pink coat.
* TheStraightAndArrowPath: Bumper Bow, which makes up the front bumper of the Giga Formula.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Girly Girl to Natsumi's Tomboy.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: The only reason she was the first to pass the first leg of the big test in ''vs. Ohranger'' was because one bug frightened her.
[[/folder]]
!'''Allies'''
[[folder:Dappu]]
!!'''Dappu''' | [-Voice Actress: Mari Maruta-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dappu.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote:Dappu in Earth clothes]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dappu_in_earth_clothes.jpg[[/labelnote]]]]
The last survivor of Planet Hazard, which was blown up by the Bowzock, he seeks out the Carmagic constellations and uses them to bring the Carrangers to reality. He serves as the team's mentor, as despite his young age, the team he handles aren't the paragons of intellect or chivalry most heroes are.
----
* BreakingOldTrends: The first mentor of a ''Sentai'' series to be a child after previous series always had them being older than the team.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: To [[Characters/DengekiSentaiChangeman Commander Yui Ibuki]] as both are aliens who lost their worlds to the antagonists and mentor a Super Sentai team to fight them. While Ibuki posed as a human with his identity only revealed to the Change in the final episodes, Dappu's true nature is known to the Carrangers from the get-go while concealing his existence from the public until the final episodes.
* KidHero: Previous Sentai mentors with child-like voices are robots. Dappu on the other hand, is an alien kid instead.
* TheMentor: And the first one who is a child instead of a CoolOldGuy, an adult, or a robot.
* MentorOccupationalHazard: Parodied and subverted. In the first episode he is unable at first to get his chosen people to be the Carrangers to actually transform and decides to duel Zelmoda by himself and gets killed, with his final words he motivates the Carrangers to fight and defeat the Bowzock. The team is fully convinced and gets ready to fight by transforming, after which Dappu gets up and reveals he faked his death so the team would actually fight, the others are understandably annoyed that he played them like that.
* MoralityPet: For Kyosuke.
* OnlySaneMan: He's not without his own quirks, but his mentor status makes him more well-adjusted and sane compared to the Carrangers for most of the series.
* SignificantWardrobeShift: After being shot by OO Oopa's [[TheNudifier Nuninuni Beam Gun]], Dappu misplaced his robes and is forced to wear Earth clothes for the rest of the series. He also wears a black jacket after his hibernation.
* VerbalTic: As with the majority of aliens in this show, he ends his sentences with [[PokemonSpeak his own name]] [[SelfDemonstratingArticle -dappu]]. ''Even when writing a note.''
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Signalman]]
!![[blue:Signalman Polis Kobaan]] | [-Voice Actor: Creator/HochuOtsuka-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/signalman_2.jpg]]
A headstrong space policeman from Planet Polis, who comes to Earth to fight the Bowzock threat. He dislikes the Carrangers but since he doesn't know their civilian identities, does think highly of the "unremarkable civilians" of Pegasus Car Garagge.
----
* ActionDad: Butt-kicking police officer, with a wife and son back on his home planet.
* AloofAlly: Despite being on the same side, he prefers to work independently from the gang. This is largely because the Carrangers' identities are kept secret until the very end, and they are essentially vigilantes whereas Signalman himself is a police officer. Signalman is otherwise on reasonably friendly terms with the Pegasus Motors staff.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Temporarily believes that the Carrangers' Kuru-Magic caused severe environmental effects on Planet Polis, and attacks them.
* CharacterDevelopment: Becomes more open to the Rangers as the series goes on, and ultimately accepts them as his allies while working in sync to beat one of the Gorotsuki.
* {{Deconstruction}}: Of ''Series/MetalHeroes'' characters, notably the Space Sheriffs that started the franchise. Being sent alone to "Earf" means he is eventually forced to leave Earth temporarily because he has a family back on Planet Polis that he misses, and cannot take direct action with Bowzock until they commiting criminal actions that warrent his involvement. He is also unique in the franchise for being an alien/non-human hero who doesn't transform or enlarge (by choice -- Imocho's Imo-youkan presumably works on him), and this limits his effectiveness in a series running on Carmagic (though he does have Sirender to help even the playing field when the monsters grow).
** {{Reconstruction}}: He is also shown to be ''very'' effective at his job as he single-handedily arested numerous Bowzock before being sent to Earth. Even when the show's parodic nature is actively working against him, being a professional means he's largely had the IdiotHero trained out of him.
* {{Expy}}: Of ''Series/MetalHeroes'' characters.
* GenreRefugee: He'd be great as a ''Metal Heroes'' protagonist; sadly, he's stuck in an AffectionateParody of ''Super Sentai''.
* HumongousMecha: The Sirender, which starts as a massive police car, and transforms into a humanoid fighter.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He might be brash and a pain in the ass for the Carrangers to cross path with, but he is a genuine hero underneath that and is perfectly willing to let them be to deal with the bigger threat at hand.
* {{Kneecapping}}: Shoots his opponents in the kneecaps.
* ItsPersonal: The pollution on Planet Polis affected his son, and Signalman himself attacks the Carrangers under this [[spoiler:because he inhaled it too and it instead brainwashed him to believe the Carrangers unleashed it, when the true culprit was Exhaus (not that anyone knew)]].
* IWorkAlone: At first. It causes him no small amount of stress.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Only Dappu seems to look into what his Evil Signalman freakout means, naturally.
* PutOnABus: Leaves at the end of episode 28 to spend some time with his family. (Story-wise, this gets him out of the way so the VRV Master arc can happen.)
** TheBusCameBack: Comes back to Earth ''furious and evil'' in episode 35.
* RunningGag: His is his recurring way of referring to the Carrangers' untransformed identities as "unremarkable civilians" while treating them much more nicely than their alter-egos. He also shoots Wumpers in the kneecaps.
* SixthRanger: At least in terms of the show's merchandising, as he's explicitly not a member of Carranger. He checks most of the same boxes anyway like being a badass ally to the usual group of five heroes, and having his own giant mecha.
* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Of a sort. When he's ''not'' acting in his capacity as a law-abiding police officer, we see that he's fully capable of beating down the Carrangers on his own. Notably when brainwashed by the bad guys.
* SwissArmyWeapon: The Signizer, with three modes:
** CarryABigStick: Police Baton mode. It is a stun baton.
** {{Handguns}}: Gun Mode. Has three modes of fire: Cold Beam, Smash Beam, and Heat Beam - blue, yellow, and red respectively. Smash Beam, despite its name, is a "stun" shot that Signalman uses mostly to shoot kneecaps. Heat Beam is also non-indicative, as it seems to just be a full-power shot.
** ImprobableWeaponUser: Badge/Recording Device mode, which comes in handy on the rare occasion he needs to take a deposition or something.
* ToBeLawfulOrGood: {{Downplayed}} as he is a force of unambiguous good the whole time but in regards to his relationship with the Carrangers he deals with this dilemma as the series progresses, grappling with whether or not to keep their enmity up over his dislike of their reckless attitude or stop doing so and join their fight despite them being vigilantes; he chooses the latter.
** At times, he starts heading into LawfulStupid territory because he can't do anything about the Bowzocks until they actually start breaking traffic laws; going the other way it can also hinder his efforts to stop them, as demonstrated when he waited at a crosswalk and let the Bowzocks escape because the "don't walk" sign was lit.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:VRV Master]]
!!VRV Master | [-Voice Actor: Creator/KiyoshiKobayashi-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vrv_master.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote:VRV Master unmasked]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vrv_master_unmasked.jpg[[/labelnote]]]]

[[Series/TopGearUK Some say he's the]] SixthRanger [[Series/TopGearUK in all but name]]. Some say there's nothing under that suit and he's given up his fleshly body to become one with the power of Carmagic. All we know is, he's called VRV Master. However, his helmet hides quite a shocking truth.
----
* BadassInDistress: Gets briefly kidnapped by Ritchiritchihiker in episode 31, forcing the Carrangers to save him.
* BatmanGambit: While giving the Carrangers their new mecha, he secretly built an emergancy shelter in their base should it be discovered and destroyed.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: To his identity as [[spoiler:Dappu's father.]]
** Dappu brings up that his parents are dead but [[spoiler:we only see his mother die onscreen in flashbacks]] and he later admits that father was off-world at the time.
** Among the advice Dappu gave the Carrangers was to distrust most aliens as they could be evil, but if they carried fruit drops they were good guys for sure as they were used as sign of trustworthiness in Hazard, with him noting that [[spoiler:they carried a reminder of his parents with their smell.]]
** While Dappu is hibernating in episode 31, VRV Master looks over him affectionately with his helmet taken off and puts it back when the Carrangers enter the room.
** Right before his reveal he is able to tell Exhaus' fake invitations to a Hazardian refugee gathering as the ploy they are and takes matters into his own hands to rescue Dappu.
* HeroicSacrifice: When [[spoiler:Exhaus attempts to recapture Dappu after VRV Master frees him, the latter leaves his son on the stolen Bowzock car headed towards Earth to distract the Emperor by ramming himself into Exhaus; he survives though and sends a letter to Dappu to let him know.]]
* HumongousMecha: Provided the Carrangers with the VRV Machines, which can combine into VRV Robo. VRV Master himself briefly commands the Victrailer, which carries the VRV Machines, until he has to leave the planet for a while.
* LargeHam: In a franchise populated by these, VRV Master really sticks out.
* LukeIAmYourFather: [[spoiler:He's Dappu's father who the latter thought had died in the destruction of Planet Hazard. He only reveals himself to Dappu near the end of the series.]]
* MysteriousProtector: Loves playing up this angle.
* NonActionGuy: Despite having a suit he rarely fights, only doing so to [[spoiler:rescue Dappu, [[PapaWolf his son]], from Exhaus' grip.]]
* ReportsOfMyDeathWereGreatlyExaggerated: A variation of the trope's usual example. [[spoiler:He was believed to be dead for a good time of the series as his identity as Dappu's father, while VRV Master was known to be alive upon his introduction and comebacks. Dappu only finds out that his father is alive near the finale when VRV Master reveals his identity to him.]]
* SixthRanger: Though not in terms of merchandising (that was Signalman's purpose), he was much closer and helpful to the team than Signalman tended to be. [[spoiler:And he has a familial connection to the team's mentor, too.]]
* SpottingTheThread: Is able to tell a disguised Ritchiritchiker isn't his usual stylist because of his more unfriendly manners and behavior.
* TeamDad: In contrast to Dappu who acts as the Carrangers little brother, he takes a more fatherly role towards them in his brief time as the mentor, guiding him directly to victory with cryptic guidance and outright teaching them to work as a team with stern authority. This is especially pronounced since [[spoiler:Dappu is his son]].
* WalkingTheEarth: At the end of the series [[spoiler:he chooses to go on a universe-wide trip with his son to make up for lost time, while his son wants to go back to Earth.]]
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Radietta Fanbelt/White Racer]]
!!Radietta Fanbelt/[[gray:White Racer]] | [-Actress: Megumi Hamamatsu (Episode 25) & Misaki Sudo (Episodes 34, 45 & 48)-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/radietta.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote:Radietta's next appearance]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/radietta_2nd_appearance.jpg[[/labelnote]]]]
A fangirl of the Carrangers from Planet Fanbelt who wishes to join them. Despite her seemingly unassuming nature, she has quite some truths to tell and reveal with her presence.
----
* AwesomeButImpractical: Upon arriving on Earth a second time, her titular car can become a battle mecha: Radicar Robo... for one minute. It subverts this in her return, when she upgrades it to grow giant and allows it to stay transformed for longer without fatigue.
* BadassAdorable: A girl with a cutesy and ditzy attitude that nonetheless proves to be a force to be reckoned with in all her appearances.
* BadassInDistress: After being rejected as a team member by Red Racer and running off the Zokurangers kidnap her and hold her as a hostage to lure the Carrangers to their doom. However she ends up freeing herself through a crafty scheme that also ensures the Carrangers finally defeat their twisted copies.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: A wannabe Carranger with a cat-themed mecha is the last person you'd expect to actually be dangerous in combat. Many Gorotsuki learn this the hard way.
* BigDamnHeroes: Her superhero persona debut has her saving the defeated Carrangers from being finished off by the Zokurangers after the latter gained the upper hand.
* ImageSong: "Love! Love! Dream of Radietta"
* IncrediblyObviousBomb: Uses one against the Zokurangers during her debut appearance. They just stand there waiting for it to detonate (although of course, she said the bomb would only explode if they didn't get her riddle right... and they had no idea what the answer was).[[note]](for more context, it was the old Japanese punny joke: "Q:Which fruit does Daddy hate? A:Papaya ''(papa-iya)''"[[/note]]
* LoonyFan: She's not what you'd call insane or deranged, but the fact that she's attracted to the Carrangers because they are childish and irresponsible says a lot (she even runs off crying when Red Racer tries to act mature to her).
* LukeYouAreMyFather: [[spoiler:She's Zonnette's younger sister and reveals this in her second appearance, after she'd studied the crystal of her sister she got in her first appearance.]]
* MagicalGirl: A parody of one. She hits all the notes. Even her transformation is through magic.
* SailorEarth: {{Downplayed}}. She is not truly a Carranger, but deliberately modeled her costume and arsenal after them making her a sort-of seventh ranger.
* SixthRanger: Although she's technically not a Carranger. Just a big fan who uses similar powers she deliberately modeled after the team.
[[/folder]]

!'''Space Bosozoku Bowzock'''
[[folder:In General]]
* ArmyOfThievesAndWhores: They are made up entirely of assorted bandits that Gynamo recruited to his cause, and have no regard for traffic safety, ransacked planets they invaded, and blow them up like fireworks. [[spoiler:Exhaus is to blame for all of this behavior.]]
* BadGuyBar: The Baribarian's BB Saloon is where the core Bowzock members and sometimes the Gorotsuki hanged out.
* UsefulNotes/{{Bosozoku}}: As their name suggests, the Bowzock is this, though only Zelmoda and Elekinta (who isn't really a Bowzock member) have motorcycles: the rest of them drive pimped-out cars instead (or in LL Onene's case, a bicycle).
* BreakingTheFellowship: [[spoiler:After Exhaus is killed off, the Bowzock formally disbands, not wanting to associate with him any further and having seen the error of their ways.]]
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist:
** To the [[Series/KousokuSentaiTurboranger Boma Tribe]]. Despite being the main opponents of their respective automobile-themed Sentai teams, the Bowzock and the Boma Tribe have different backgrounds and themes: The Boma are supernatural demonic beings who resurfaced due to the increasing pollution and decline of fairies, while the Bowzock is a seemingly harmless alien biker gang who went bad [[spoiler:as a result of Gynamo's first meeting with a disguised Exhaus]]. The Boma are mostly serious and threatening, while the Bowzock are a group of mostly incompetent buffoons. The Boma have magic at disposal and can enlarge their monsters with magical tornadoes, while the Bowzock can grow by eating Earth food (hand-made imo-yokan) and has Giant Robos at their disposal. [[spoiler:And finally, the core members of the Boma Tribe were slain and their extra members were spared, while the core members of the Bowzock were spared and their extra members were slain.]]
** To the [[Series/ChourikiSentaiOhranger Baranoia Machine Empire]]. Both groups are invaders from space who reside in a far-off planetoid who attack Earth due to it being directly in a line of planets they conquered/destroyed. However, the Baranoia were dead-serious for the most part (even after ''Ohranger''[='=]s abandonment of its darker themes) and were led by a royal family, with a major leadership shakeup in the endgame that led to the faction getting much deadlier until they had a temporary win. The Bowzock are instead little more than a gang of bikers led by a self-made leader and whose leadership shakeup lasts only a few episodes (discounting Exhaus' manipulations) and ultimately become lamer and more easily beatable villains who only see success when Exhaus aids them. Finally, the Baranoia were for the most part destroyed and only four members, Acha, Kocha, Buldont Jr. and Bara Mobile survived the finale (and even then Bara Mobile was eventually killed in ''Carranger vs. Ohranger'') [[spoiler:while the majority of Bowzock's core and recurring members survive (outside of JJ Jetton).]]
* EasilyForgiven: [[spoiler:The surviving members are quite quickly forgiven despite causing universal-wide destruction, including destroying Dappu's homeworld, it does help they aided against Exhaus and were as much of victims of the Emperor as everyone else.]]
* FaceHeelTurn: While they have always been a biker gang with zero respect for the rules of the road, they used to be a harmless group that does fun things together. Then came a mysterious fortune teller...
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: After being reminded by Zonnette (as Vanity Mirror) about Exhaus' treachery, the surviving core Bowzock members form an EnemyMine with the Carrangers to bring him down, in the finale it's compounded when President Gynamo gets the last laugh by weakening Exhaus with the expired imo-yokan as he was about to kill the Carrangers and made peace with them once the real enemy was defeated for good.]]
* LaughablyEvil: Villainous as they may be, but the Bowzock are just as dumb and funny as the Carrangers. The only true exception to this trope is Exhaus, who is not a direct member himself.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: They were never harmless to begin with (since they ''did'' blow up planets before), but most of the Bowzock's members are just a bunch of adorable losers who wanted to blow up Earth but never came up with a practical plan and were often easily thwarted. [[spoiler:Then they TookALevelInBadass first when Ritchiritchihiker takes over and later when Exhaus showed up to personally aid them.]]
* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler:In the grand scheme of things, the Bowzock are just expendables in Exhaus' [[EvilPlan Greatest Evil Space Highway Plan]]. He tries to get rid of them lethally once he's done using them.]]

[[folder:Reckless Dash Emperor Exhaus '''(UNMARKED SPOILERS)''']]
!!Reckless Dash Emperor Exhaus | [-Voice Actor: Osamu Kobayashi-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/exhaus.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote:Exhaus Super-Strong]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/exhaus_super_stong.jpg[[/labelnote]]]]
----
* BadBoss: He zaps the Bowzock members for failing him or disappointing him and in the finale, he intends to get any surviving Bowzock killed by crashing the Baribarian on Earth to make way for his highway.
* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: Damn near drove the Beager race extinct due to enslaving and overworking them to work on his Highway Plan, personally killing any that tried to escaped. He intended to have the last Beager used by Bowzock to multiply it and create an endless supply to abuse and overwork until he got his way.
* BigBad: He is the real mastermind who has been manipulating the Bowzock into blowing up planets for his Highway Plan and is behind their attempts to destroy Earth.
* BroughtDownToNormal: After being fed expired Imo-Youkan while in Super Strong form, Exhaus shrinks down while forced back to his usual form.
* CallingCard: Exhaus' emblem, designed after the Evil Constellation, appears on the giant robots and weapons he provides the Bowzock.
* ColonyDrop: His last attempt to blow up Earth through Bowzock involved him setting the Baribarian on fire with the members inside then fling the planet towards Earth as a make-shift meteor, filling it beforehand with trash bags of his work to fuel the fire.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist:
** He can be seen as one to [[Series/DengekiSentaiChangeman Bazoo]] and [[Series/ChikyuuSentaiFiveman Vulgyre]], having the former's human-like appearance with the latter's manipulative personality in using others to do his dirty work. But he is more [[EvilIsPetty petty]] than either of them.
** He is this to [[Series/KousokuSentaiTurboranger Laghorn]] in being an OrcusOnHisThrone with an "ItsAllAboutMe" mentality and a more combat-ready OneWingedAngel form.
* EvilCounterpart: To the Carrangers as a whole. While the Carrangers' powers are derived from the Car Constellations, Exhaus's powers are derived from the Evil Constellation.
* EvilPlan: His has the Bowzock blow up planets so he can create an intergalactic highway for travel across the Milky Way, removing all speed limits so criminals can cause as many accidents as they wish on the road. Earth is the last planet he needs destoryed to compete his plan.
* DeathByIrony:
** Is almost killed in his normal state when the Carrangers fling back the Baribarian at him, as he'd previously tried to use it to blow up Earth.
** Is defeated and killed by the Carrangers after being fed with outdated imo-youkan, forcing him back to his normal state.
* GreaterScopeVillain: Bowzock's villainy began when Exhaus dressed himself as a fortuneteller and met Gynamo at some point, telling him that destroying planets would increase his fortune.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Exhaus was about to kill the Carrangers with what appears to be a BreathWeapon finishing attack when Gynamo threw the expired imo-youkan into his mouth. To further the point, the growing properties of Imocho's imo-youkan (and shrinking properties of improper consumption) were only discovered because he guided the Bowzock to Earth for his plan, making it a double case of Exhaus' evil actions biting him in the ass.
* InvincibleVillain: His Super-Strong form is so powerful, not even the Carrangers' {{Humongous Mecha}}s do any damage to him. Well, OK, the RV Robo blows a hole in him, but he simply regenerates. Beyond that, he causes VRV Robo to explode, and wrecks RV Robo so badly it can no longer move. It seems like he's truly impossible to defeat... but [[NotSoInvincibleAfterAll that doesn't mean he's invulnerable to the expired imo-youkan's effects]].
* ItsAllAboutMe: Screw the many planets he got destroyed or even the Bowzock themselves. His highway project is his top priority and he will ensure it's completion at everyone else's expense.
* KnightOfCerebus: His debut episode involves the Carrangers having gotten complacent from always winning, but having that idea pummeled out of them by a mecha he gives the Bowzock. The show doesn't stop being silly, but Exhaus' leadership makes the Bowzock a more clear and present danger instead of just when it's time to introduce a new weapon for the rangers.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Loses his formidable Super Strong form to expired imo-youkan, which the Bowzock only ever accessed thanks to him guiding them to Earth.
* ManipulativeBastard: Exhaus is behind all the tragedies of the series and is the one who ensured the Bowzock's rise from a mediocre and harmless biker gang into a still mediocre but definitely not harmless gang who blew up planets for his "Evil Space Highway" Plan. He also made sure to guide them to planets that hosted the Carmagic that could thwart him and timed his plans to ensure he could seal it away if things hadn't gone as he planned beforehand.
* NoOntologicalInertia: When he's destroyed, his unfinished space highway promptly disintegrates too.
* NotSoInvincibleAfterAll: As with the Bowzock, feeding him with outdated imo-youkan can weaken and/or shrink the consumer, and Gynamo took advantage of that to weaken him enough for the Carrangers to defeat.
* SdrawkcabAlias: Took on the name of Suzogue (which is "Exhaus"'s name spelled backwards in katakana: エグゾス (E-Gu-Zo-Su) - > スゾグエ (Su-Zo-Gu-E) to pose as a fortune teller and get the Bowzock to start blowing up planets for his plan.
* TheSociopath: Exhaus is good at playing the Bowzock for fools (even using an alternate disguise to push their StartOfDarkness), but in truth cares for nothing other than creating his Universal Highway Project and will discard those he no longer needs like garbage, metaphorically and literally.
* ToCreateAPlaygroundForEvil: His ultimate goal is creating a colossal intergalactic highway devoid of speed limits where criminals can cause as much mayhem as they want. He needs various planets gone for that purpose and Earth is the last.
* TrueFinalBoss: The Carrangers and Bowzock came to the conclusion that all of the major conflicts happened throughout the entire series is Exhaus' fault. This is why they decide to join forces against him, rendering him as the final threat of the show.
* WalkingSpoiler: His influence is the main source of the Bowzock's actions.
* WorfHadTheFlu: He was quickly killed off by the Carrangers because the expired imo-youkan's effects hampered his fighting performance.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: Pulled this on the Bowzock after sealing away the Carrangers' Carmagic Power and having them trash their base, calling them "trash" that isn't useful anymore and trying to get them killed at the same time he destroyed Earth by setting the trash-filled Baribarian on fire with them inside and hurling the planetoid towards Earth.

[[folder:President Gynamo]]
!!President Gynamo | [-Voice Actor: Hiroshi Otake-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gynamo_3.jpg]]
The buffoonish oaf in charge of Bowzock, eager to increase his luck he blows up planet after planet but meets his match when the Carrangers show up on Earth. He is in love with Zonnette and will do anything to get her to reciprocate.
----
* AlasPoorVillain: His heartbreak over [[spoiler:Zonnette's departure shows him in a surprisingly sympathetic light as he drowns his sorrows over the woman he loved leaving his side. It takes Exhaus pressuring him to get Gynamo back in action, and only for a little while.]]
* BigBad: He's the founder and "president" of Bowzock, [[spoiler:though Exhaus has been pulling the strings the whole time and Gynamo is quietly pushed to the wayside as Exhaus takes over narratively]].
* BigBadWannabe: Gets it ''twice'' in the same series, poor guy.
** First Ritchihiker easily overthrows him after becoming Ritchiritchihiker and reduces him to sulking and complaining on Earth along with the similarly exiled Zonnette. [[spoiler:Gynamo only takes back his position as the main baddie in the end because Ritchiritchiker is killed by the Carrangers]].
** [[spoiler:And overall he believed that he was absolutely the only one behind the Bowzock's plan to destroy Earth and other planets, while being the UnwittingPawn of Exhaus who as Suzogue set him on the path of planetary destruction to begin with. For his defense, everyone genuinely believed that he was the one behind the Bowzock's plot to destroy the planet before they learned of Exhaus' manipulations.]].
* BigDamnHeroes: [[spoiler:In the series finale with RV Robo utterly wrecked and rendered helpless against Emperor Exhaus Super Strong, the Reckless Dash Emperor was about to finish the Carrangers off... Until Gynamo threw the expired imo-youkan right into his gaping maw, weakening the Emperor in time to let the heroes recover and defeat him.]]
* DidNotGetTheGirl: Unfortunately for Gynamo Zonnette never loved him the way he loved her. [[spoiler:Regardless he does get a kiss from her in gratitude for saving the Carrangers, allowing him to at least have some degree of affection from her in the end.]]
* DiscOneFinalBoss: [[spoiler:Near the finale of the show, following Zonnette's departure, Gynamo along with Grotch and Zelmoda was sent by Exhaus in the Ultimate Bowzock Robot: Norishiron Extra, to defeat the Carrangers with whatever they got as all but the most loyal of Bowzock had abandoned his side, they are quickly beaten but survive and with Exhaus' aid trash the Carrangers' base, but as their battle rages later on, Zonnette/Vanity Mirror returns and convinces them to stand down and join the heroes against Exhaus to get back at the Emperor for his manipulations.]]
* EarnYourHappyEnding: [[spoiler:At the end of the series he does not get together with Zonnette as he'd wished, but regardless she comes to truly respect him and gives him a thankful kiss for saving the Carrangers, then befriends all the heroes and makes peace with them, getting to live a happy peaceful life on Earth. He then disbands the Bowzock, gets to be a successful chef with the help of his closest friends, with ''Megaranger vs. Carranger'' even showing that his business has thrived.]]
* EtTuBrute: First he is distraught when Zelmoda and Grotch betray him when Ritchihiker buys their loyalty from him as part of a HostileTakeover of the Bowzock, [[spoiler:and later on when he is reminded by Vanity Mirror about how Emperor Exhaus betrayed and tried to have him killed when he'd served his purpose in the Emperor's plan]].
* TheHeavy: ExaggeratedTrope. He's the one driving the plot by attacking earth and a TopHeavyGuy who is also lacking in brains. [[spoiler:He's however subservient to Exhaus once the Emperor shows up.]]
* HollywoodMidLifeCrisis: After resuming command, he appears to go through one in reinventing the Bowzock brand on a weekly basis before Exhaus appears.
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Despite Zonnette warning him, Gyunamo didn't see Ritchihiker's treachery until it was too late.
* MadLove: Attempted to woo Zonnette whenever he had the chance. She never loved him in that way, [[spoiler:but by the end of the series, she admits she underestimated him after he saves the Carrangers and weakens Exhaus [[ThrowTheDogABone and kisses him]] to his delight]].
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: [[spoiler:After Zonnette/Vanity Mirror leaves, Gynamo is emotionally devastated and is too depressed to even muster up genuine hatred for the Carrangers and is completely resigned to just mope around in the Baribarian and drown his sorrows until Exhaus more or less forces and manipulates him to fight.]]
* ShaggyDogStory: Gynamo was privately funding his wedding to Zonette, only to learn that Ritchiritchihiker discovered the funds and used most of it in commissioning the creation of Braking. It gets worst as Ritchiritchihiker had some money left over to bribe Gynamo's top underlings to help him stage a coup.
* ThrowTheDogABone: [[spoiler:Zonnette gives him a kiss in the finale as a thanks for saving the Carrangers and proving his worth. He is more than happy about it]].
* TopHeavyGuy: Is built this way, fitting for a Bosozoku boss.

[[folder:Beauty Zonnette]]
!!Beauty Zonnette /[[spoiler:Vanity-Mirror Fanbelt]] | [-Actress: Rika Nanase-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zonnette.jpg]]
A sexy villainess who hangs around the Baribaria as the Bowzock's pretty girl, with her natural beauty and seductive attitude she easily manipulates Gynamo to do her favors.
----
* BuxomBeautyStandard: Her profile is described as this: a "buxom" member of the Bowzocks who [[TheVamp uses her feminine wiles]], and Gynamo's crush on her, for her own selfish pleasures.
* DatingCatwoman: She is the Catwoman in this scenario. [[spoiler:On her first personal mission to Earth, she notes that Red Racer is, to her own standards, attractive. But she weirdly finds his human form, Kyosuke, unattractive. However, she works past this when Kyosuke defends her from EE Misubinofu with nothing but a sword.]]
* TheHeavy: In a way, a lot of Gynamo's schemes are based less around destroying Earth and more around pleasing Zonnette whatever way he can. The Bowzock's arrival on Earth was also partly influenced by Zonnette wishing to see that planet be blown up.
* TheHedonist: Uses the Bowzock as her personal lounge and uses Gynamo's infatuation with her to get her way and any petty desires she wants at the moment.
* HighHeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:After the Matchmaking Gorotsuki, EE Musubinofu, attempts to use his love arrows to force her to marry Gynamo and subsequently learning of her home planet of Fanbelt being in danger from Exhaus' plans, she renounces the Bowzock and her "Beauty Zonnette" identity to return to her duties as Princess Vanity Mirror Fanbelt. While she was never truly evil to begin with this moment is where she went back to a straight path in her life.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Outwardly rude, mean and selfish yet deep down truly cares about those she sees as her friends and is a good person beneath her Bowzock persona. [[spoiler:In the finale she even goes as far as motivating the Bowzock to find redemption and join the Carrangers and their allies against Exhaus, despite her last interaction with them having a Gorotsuki almost brainwash her.]]
* KingIncognito: [[spoiler:She's actually the elder princess of planet Fanbelt, and Radietta's big sister. She grew tired of unwanted suitors and fled from home, becoming a Bowzock when she met Gynamo and his crew]].
* LeitMotif: "Dream of Zonnette".
%% * MsFanservice
* RebelliousPrincess: [[spoiler:She only joined the Bowzock to get away from potential suitors on her home planet. Once she gets a more legitimate reason to stick around her planet (saving it from Exhaus) she abandons this aspect]].
* StarCrossedLovers: [[spoiler:With Kyosuke.]]
* TokenGoodTeammate: Zonnette is rather uncooperative with the Bowzock outside of suggesting things to Gynamo, doesn't like fighting that much, hardly ever schemes (and her schemes aren't particularly impressive even next to the already wacky Bowzock schemes), [[spoiler:and has a thing for Kyosuke (granted she at first only loves his "Red Racer" transformation, but does grow to love him as a whole in the end)]]. Ultimately justified due to [[spoiler:being the elder princess of Planet Fanbelt and thus not evil to begin with]].
* TheVamp: She uses her good looks to seduce men into doing her favors, though Gynamo is her main target as the president is utterly infatuated with her.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Deputy Leader Zelmoda]]
!!Deputy Leader Zelmoda | [-Voice Actor: Kyosei Tsukui-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zelmoda.jpg]]
----
* TheBrute: The enforcer and DumbMuscle of the Bowzock.
* TheDragon: The "deputy leader" of Bowzock and Gynamo's right-hand man. He commands the Combatant Wumpers, which he keeps in a floating jar. He briefly becomes Ritchiritchiker's Dragon when the latter takes over but it doesn't last.
* DumbMuscle: Zigzagged. He's competent and ruthless in battle, but is also an insane buffoon like the rest.
* FearOfThunder: Has Astraphobia, as seen in Episode 14. His friends end up being supportive about helping him overcome it.
* HeroKiller:
** Subverted in the first episode. Dappu engages him in direct combat when the Carrangers prove uncooperative during the first Bowzock attack and Zelmoda quickly defeats and kills the last Hazardian to his own surprise, Dappu in his final moments gives the team the will to fight with his death as a motivation. But then Dappu gets up after they transforms as reveals he just faked his death.
** [[spoiler:Then it happens for real when he winds up killing Speed King Max... albeit by mistake. He was trying to kill Dappu.]]
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Wields a sword made up of ''playing cards''.
* KidsAreCruel: He's been a delinquent since childhood.
* VillainousFriendship: With Gynamo, the two once were rivals but upon winning a fight against other rivals of theirs they realized they worked better as a team and founded the Bowzock together. Their friendship is strong enough that it manages to survive [[spoiler:even Zelmoda's willing betrayal of Gynamo during [=RitchRitchihiker=]'s takeover]].
* UndyingLoyalty: Subverted. Zelmonda refuses to betray Gynamo when [=RitchRitchihiker=] bribes him, only to accept a suitcase of money to throw away the sense of pride that fueled that resolve.
* WorthyOpponent: To Red Racer ever since seeing him in action in the first episode.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Inventor Grotch]]
!!Inventor Grotch | [-Voice Actor: Creator/TakashiNagasako-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/grotch.jpg]]
----
* AffablyEvil: Has no problems casually buying imo-youkan from Imocho like a regular customer and when he first goes to Earth, he politely asks Ichitaro to tell him about delicious food to eat on Earth and despite taking the child hostage, only does so to get Ichitaro's mother (who was a bit rude to Grotch) to buy him the food, not bothering to keep the child hostage when she runs off to get him his meal.
* BigEater: In episode 4, he eats 4 plates of Takoyaki, Fried Chicken, Inarizushi and Imocho's Imo-Youkan all in quick succession. Ichitaro and his mother are both fascinated by his great appetite.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist:
** He's the complete opposite of {{Jerkass}} DirtyCoward [[Series/KousokuSentaiTurboranger Zulten]]
** Also to [[Series/ChourikiSentaiOhranger Acha and Kocha]] in being the one who enlarges the monsters, without their NoRespectGuy status.
* DitzyGenius: He's a multidisciplinary scientist who has come up with some really advanced creations and machines yet is as goofy and lacking in common sense as the rest of Bowzock.
* DoubleStandardViolenceChildOnAdult: He gets attacked by Ichitaro when they first met, later taking the boy hostage to force his parents to bring him food.
* EvilGenius: Provides Bowzock with weapons such as the [[PopGoesTheHuman "Fattening Spray"]], [[{{Brainwashed}} "Forgetfulness Water Gun"]], [[TheNudifier "Nuninuni Beam Gun"]] and [[PsychoSerum "Gekibaka"]]. But while he's a great inventor, he can sometimes succeed in being a buffoon.
* FatBastard: By the virtue of working for Bowzock. Otherwise, he's anything but a bastard.
* GiantEqualsInvincible: In the fourth episode he grows giant after eating Imo-Youkan (albeit he didn't know that would happen at the time) and proves invulnerable to everything the human-sized Carrangers throw at him. He shrinks back when the effects expire before he could prove this invincibility against RV Robo, though.
* IgnoredEpiphany: In episode 6, he questioned sending KK Kyutan on a mission that resulted in his death. But forgets it after being offered booze by Zelmonda.
* ThePigPen: He openly admitted to the giant MM Mogu, that he never bothered to clean himself (his navel in particular) for ''ten years'' as a means of cheering him up about his insecurities regarding his own dirty navel.

!!Instructor Ritchihiker | [-Voice Actor: Nobuo Tanaka-]

[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote:[=RitchRitchihiker=]]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ritchritchhiker.jpg[[/labelnote]]]]

A con-artist whom the Bowzock hired upon seeing his ad as an Evil Consultant.
----
* ArchEnemy: Of the UnknownRival variety to Signalman, who barely remembered arresting him for fraud. But Ritchihiker despises him all the same.
* ArcVillain: Of the VRV Master arc midway through the series, as his takeover as the main antagonist pushes the plot forward both in the Carrangers trying to find a way to stop him and his attempts to straighten out the Bowzock to be more effective.
* BadBoss: He shows himself to be a nasty boss to work for upon taking over as he berates, punishes and even ''kills'' (like a poor unfortunate Wumper soldier had the misfortune of finding out) any Bowzock member who slacks off instead of studying.
* BigBadWannabe: Tries to take control of the Bowzock and succeeds with ease before proving himself to be more formidable than Gynamo ever could be. [[spoiler:But unknown to him, the true BigBad all alone was Exhaus, meaning that in the long run he was ultimately a pretender to the position]].
* CardCarryingVillain: Once he drops the charade of being a Bowzock reformer he shows himself to be very dedicated to his image as an evil alien, up to actually carrying a calling card. VRV Master mocks him for it, claiming that the worse the guy is, the likelier they will carry a card.
* CoDragons: One of the Bowzocks two lieutenants alongside Zelmoda.
* TheComicallySerious: Once he takes over Bowzock he's dead-serious on disciplining them to be more effective soldiers of evil, but his idea to do that is to go to Earth with Braking to steal some dictionaries and books in a scheme befitting of the usual comedic Bowzock antics.
* ConMan: His overall profession and criminal M.O.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: He briefly becomes leader of the Bowzock, and his defeat [[spoiler: and death]] advances the plot further, [[spoiler: straight into the endgame with Exhaus.]]
* DragonWithAnAgenda: While he ''was'' loyal to Gynamo at first, he tries to overthrow him after his SanitySlippage. It works... [[spoiler:[[ShortLivedLeadership temporarily]]]].
* EvilGenius: Kinda. He's TheStrategist of the bad guys.
* EveryManHasHisPrice: He buys off Zelmonda and Grotch into helping him take the Bowzock reigns from Gynamo, haggling their loyalty away.
* TheHeavy: He's the leader of the villains after his HostileTakeover during the second arc. [[spoiler:However he falls before Gynamo and Exhaus.]]
* HumongousMecha: After becoming [=RitchRitchihiker=], he purchased a reptilian behemoth of a mecha called Braking through Gynamo's secret savings. When it is blasted back to Baribarian, he upgrades it. [[spoiler: He is then killed when VRV Robo, in its debut fight, obliterates Rebuilt Braking with the Victory Twister, with [=RitchRitchihiker=] still inside the cockpit.]]
* KnightOfCerebus: The story becomes (''slightly'') more serious with his debut.
* OneWingedAngel: Downplayed. Being struck by a MadeOfEvil lightning during Bowzock's festival only boosted his intelligence and gave him a gold PaletteSwap as [=RitchRitchihiker=] .
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Where it not for his need to get rid of Signalman, his first attempt to kill the Carrangers would had suceeded.
* RightForTheWrongReasons: In episode 21, he covers up his failures by making up a story about the Bowzock being haunted by an "Evil Space God" that brings them misfortune. [[spoiler: He turns out to be unintentionally right about the existence of an evil entity overlooking the Bowzock: Emperor Exhaus (albeit the latter was hoping they'd succeeded for his own ends).]]
* SanitySlippage: Though more intelligent, his [=RitchRitchihiker=] form made him more delusional in trying to make the Bowzock into a more legitimate evil organization.
* ShortLivedLeadership: Lasts only a few weeks at most as the Bowzock's leader before [[spoiler:VRV Robo takes him out for good.]]
* SignatureLaugh: ''Ritchichichichichi!''
* SixthRanger: Briefly hired by Gynamo as Bowzock's "evil consultant".
* SixthRangerTraitor: Betrays and overthrows Gynamo after his SanitySlippage.
* TheStarscream: He was somewhat loyal to the Bowzock when he was normal, perfectly content with assisting them in their plans. But after becoming [=RitchRitchihiker=], he literally '''bought''' out the Bowzock and kicked out Gynamo and Zonnette.
* TheStrategist: The evil consultant of Gynamo, at first.
* TookALevelInBadass: His transformation into [=RitchRitchihiker=] improved his thinking skills.
* TokenEvilTeammate: He's the only other villain besides Exhaus who isn't stupid and doesn't pull a HeelFaceTurn like the rest of the Bowzock.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Gorotsuki]]
!!In General
* {{Gonk}}: Most of the Gorotsuki have either creepy, cartoonish, or hilariously exaggerated faces.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: By eating imo-yokan, the Gorotsuki are capable of enlarging, though it must be hand-made from Imocho for the enlargement process to work because the ones without the Imocho brand would shrink them instead.
** The expired imo-yokan (also from Imocho) has the same properties as the fresh ones, though the duration is much shorter and the consumer would suffer a stomachache after shrinking back to their original size. [[spoiler:Later revealed to be a ChekhovsGun when Gynamo used them to weaken Exhaus in the finale.]]
* MeaningfulName: Gorotsuki means "thug" in Japanese.
* MonsterOfTheWeek: They're alien citizens of the Baribarian hired by the Bowzock to serve as the Carrangers' opponents.
* ThemeNaming: Their names are written in two same latters, then followed by their real name.
* VerbalTic: They usually end their sentences with their names a ''lot''.
* WorldsBestCharacter: Each Gorotsuki has a talent they're good at.

!!BB Donpa | [-Voice Actor: Kazumi Tanaka-]
A zombie themed Gorotsuki and Bowzock's best music conductor. He was sent to Earth to cause a racket loud enough for [=UFOs=] to blow the planet up.
----
* BadassBiker: Has a customized motorcycle. Not bad for a StarterVillain.
* DeathByIrony: BB Donpa caused a ruckus on Earth by levitating cars and make them honk loud noises. After being blasted back to the Baribarian by the Carrangers' Formula Nova, a UFO shows up and vaporizes him because his arm-mounted horn is too noisy.
* ElvisImpersonator: He ''is'' the best musician of Bowzock with a pompadour to match.
* MeaningfulName: His name refers to B.B. King and the Japanese onomatopeia "Donpa".
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: He's themed after a zombie despite being an alien.
* RedBaron: The Beethoven of Space.
* ShoutOut: Greatly resembles [[Music/MichaelJackson MJ in his]] [[Music/{{Thriller}} Thriller getup]] [[Music/ElvisPresley with Elvis' hairdo]] thrown into it.
* StarterVillain: The first Gorotsuki the Carrangers fought.

!!RR Rii | [-Voice Actor: Osamu Hosoi-]
Bowzock's best spiritualist.
----
* AffablyEvil: Sort of. He's actually courteous towards a random woman he came across and understandably thinks she only ran away because of his hideous looks.
* AndThenJohnWasAZombie: Anyone who gets hit by his stamp hammer would turn into psychotic maniacs. He can also turn inanimate objects into aggressive sentient beings after accdentally hitting a vacuum cleaner.
* {{Irony}}: Spiritualists are known for communicating with the dead or helping other people find inner peace. RR Rii is ''anything'' but spiritualistic.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: RR Rii hitting the car Kyosuke was test driving is a ''really'' a bad idea.

!!MM Mogu | [-Voice Actor: Hiroyuki Kawamoto-]
A red eyed tree frog themed Gorotsuki and Bowzock's best eater.
----
* AmphibianAssault: He's themed after a red-eyed tree frog.
* ExtremeOmnivore: True to his reputation as Bowzock's best food taster, MM Mogu can eat anything, and that includes ''buildings''.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Wields a giant fork and knife as weapons.
* HiddenDepths: Despite being a Gorotsuki, MM Mogu doesn't like his navel exposed, implying that he's a NeatFreak.
* MeaningfulName: The word "mogu" is the Japanese onomatopeia for chewing.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: He's quite goofy, but that doesn't mean he's harmless.
* WorfHadTheFlu: MM Mogu was too busy eating a city when RV Robo arrives to finish him off.

!!QQ Kyutan | [-Voice Actor: Creator/SeizoKato-]

* {{Delinquents}}: JJ Jetton is the very definition of a classic delinquent character, albeit with a dash of TheBully for good measure.
* DumbMuscle: He's all brawns but no brains, even more so than UU Wurin. This is also the reason why Ritchihiker used him for the "poisoned drink" scheme.
* HeelFaceTurn: Subverted. He pretends to be quitting the Bowzock and getting an education as part of Ritchihiker's plan.
* LuredIntoATrap: Ritchihiker's first order of business is to pose both himself and JJ Jetton as a teacher and student of the "Bowzock rehab" school respectively to trick the Carrangers into drinking poisoned wine. Thanks to Ritchihiker attempting to kill off Signalman, the plan backfired.

----
* EvilOldFolks: AA Abanba looks and talks like a raspy old man.

* GreenThumb: Beffitting for a gardener, BB Koiya can throw seeds that can grow into flowered vines to ensnare his opponents, allowing his Space Bees to kill them with bee stings.
* ICallItVera: He refers to his pet Space Bees as his "babies".
* {{Irony}}: BB Koiya is the complete opposite of the steroetypical gardener, being a macho tough guy and a FatBastard instead.

!!PP Chiipuri | [-Voice Actor: Creator/ShozoIizuka-]
Bowzock's best make-up artist. He was tasked with making the owner of Imocho younger so the latter could keep making his store's imo-youkan.
----
* BadassNormal: PP Chiipuri doesn't have any special powers besides his youth cream but his glamourous looks aren't just for show.
* TheBadGuyWins: Despite being killed by VRV Robo, reverting everyone affected by his youth cream back to their original age in the process, Imocho is still open for business as usual as the experiences convinced him to not retire despite his age. Also, through lying of his intent, he kept the Carrangers from learning of Imocho being the Bowzock's imo-youkan provider.
* FountainOfYouth: PP Chiipuri's youth cream (provided by Exhaus) can turn anyone young again, or in Norishiron 12's case, turn back into its pre-built form.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He accidentally took out Norishiron 12 from the fight by firing his youth cream on its face when VRV Robo haggled him around, causing the otherwise borderline invincible robot to be returned to its kit form and blown up.
* MeaningfulName: His name is a pun on the English word "pretty".
* SissyVillain: PP Chiipuri has a ''very'' unmanly personality, judging by his namesake and demonstrated by his effeminate behavior and mannerisms. This is somewhat justified due to being a make-up artist.

!!SS Sutatanzo | [-Voice Actor: Creator/YasuhiroTakato-]
Bowzock's best gas station attendant. Exhaus sent him to Earth to make the Bowzock's cars fly using a special gasoline.
----
* ButtMonkey: The guy gets beaten up a lot through the film, from being defeated by the Carrangers four times, to getting fried by Exhaus for failing him, to losing his gas pipe mid-fight in giant form and being punched in the face by VRV Robo.
* CreepyGasStationAttendant: SS Sutatanzo is a Gorotsuki to the core and themed after a gas station attendant.
* GagNose: Has a comically large nose.
* EvilPlan: Exhaus' plan is actually a variant of BB Donpa's "flying cars" scheme, as he had SS Sutatanzo use three special gas tanks to make cars fly to the Barbarian so the Bowzock could turn them into demolition cars.
* SpannerInTheWorks: He unintentionally managed to send [=OhRed=] to the Barbarian by pouring Bowzock's special gasoline on his Red Jetter, forcing the Carrangers to rescue him after receiving TrainingFromHell from Chief Miura.

!!CC Patchoone | [-Voice Actor: Creator/HidekatsuShibata-]
Bowzock's best animal trainer. He was sent to capture the Beagle and train it.
----
* TheBeastmaster: He's themed after an animal trainer. Exhaus hired him to capture the Beagle and train it into destroying roads and highways by eating concrete.
* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: His treatment of the Beagle is extremely rough and cruel.
* EyeBeams: CC Patchoone's monocle can shoot beams.
* ShockAndAwe: CC Patchoone utilizes electric attacks with his whip.
* WhipOfDominance: He has an [[TheBeastmaster animal tamer gimmick]] and appropriately wields a LightningLash as their weapon. It was tasked with retrieving and taming the Beager beast that was under the protection of the rangers.

!!OO Batton | [-Voice Actor: Creator/KazukiYao-]
Bowzock's best prankster who faked being friends with Minoru so he could lure the Carrengers into a trap.
----
* BatOutOfHell: OO Batton has a vampire bat theme.
* BecomingTheMask: His friendship with Minoru is genuine, but he had to keep up the bad guy act because he has no other choice lest Exhaus killed him.
* ManipulativeBastard: Him befriending the Carrangers is all part of Bowzock's trap. Minoru is not happy about this. It's later shown that he ''genuinely'' befriended Minoru but his fear of Exhaus keeps him from turning good over it.
* ThePrankster: He's the best prankster of Bowzock, able to deceive the Carrangers into thinking he's gone rogue.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: OO Batton's presence in the story would later reveal Bowzock's origins and Exhaus' true nature in later episodes.
* ThisIsADrill: His hammer has a drill as the end of its handle.
* TheWorfEffect: OO Batton is easily finished off by Scramble Intersection Robo after he'd been overwhelming VRV and RV Robo.

!!MM Shuurisukii | [-Voice Actor: Ritsuo Sawa-]
Bowzock's best mechanic who searched for a magic wrench.
----
* CoolCar: Exhaus provided Bowzock with the prototype Exhaustar car and MM Shuurisukii becomes its main driver.
* CurbstompBattle: He manages to deal serious damage to the Carrangers' vehicles thanks to the Exhaustar being modified by the wrench he previously stole from Natsumi.
* TheEngineer: He's a mechanic-themed Gorotsuki who is capable to tinkering cars and after stealing Natsumi's wrench, turning them into weaponized vehicles.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: As Bowzock's best mechanic, MM Shuurisukii wields a pair of spanners.

!!EE Musubinofu | [-Voice Actor: Creator/MitsuakiMadono-]
Bowzock's marriage master who was tasked with forcing Zonnette into marrying Gynamo.
----
* ArrangedMarriage: Zelmoda hired EE Musubinofu to cheer up Gynamo by forcing Zonnette into marrying him.
* DemonicPossession: EE Musubunofu is capable of possessing people by assuming obi form. He does this to Zonnette so she'll kill Kyousuke with her own hands.
* FallenCupid: He's a love letter-themed Gorotsuki whose arrows are capable of making his targets fall in love with the intended partner. He was hired by Zelmoda to make Zonette fall in love with Gynamo so as to make her get married with the president and motivate him to work harder.
* MeaningfulName: EE Musubinofu's name is a mix of the Japanese word "musubi", which is translated as "union" in English, and the obi sash.
* TheStraightAndArrowPath: He's armed with a bow and arrow.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Bowzock Vehicles & Mecha]]
!!Reckless Driving Fire Engine
A sentient firetruck created by Gynamo during Bowzock's first attack on Earth.
----
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: Gets no characterization after Gynamo brought it to life through a fire engine. Justified due to being a vehicle.
* SentientVehicle: It's a giant monster who took the form of a fire engine.
* StarterVillain: It's the Carrangers' first overall opponent.

!!Barricars
Bowzock's race cars.
----
* AnimalMotifs: Each Barricar has an animal theme and are named after animal sounds.
* CoolCar: They're giant demolition cars with animal features.

!!Braking
Ritchiritchihiker's personal mecha that he had built using Gynamo's wedding money.
----
* AssShove: On the receiving end of this when V-Rescue shoved a giant syringe on its ass.
* BasedOnADream: During his transition to his Ritchiritchihiker form, he has a vision of Braking that inspires him to have the robot created and make his dream into a reality.
* ChestBlaster: As Rebuilt Braking, its chest is equipped with a cannon that can shoot "smiley face" cannonballs.
* CurbstompBattle: It manages to defeat and steal RV Robo, only to end up being overwhelmed by the VRV Machines. Even after Ritchihiker upgraded it to the more powerful Rebuilt Braking, it ''still'' doesn't do well against them (as VRV Fighters), especially after VRV Robo is formed.
* HowDidYouGetIt: When asked how he got the funds to make Braking, Ritchiritchihiker reveals he used Gynamo's private fund for the payment with some left over for bribing purposes.
* MeaningfulName: Braking's name is similar to the term "breaking", which refers to automobiles coming to a complete stop.
* PowerUpLetdown: Ritchiritchihiker upgrades it into Rebuilt Braking after its first humiliating defeat and it ''still'' gets utterly trounced by the VRV Machines, only giving them some slight trouble before they more or less curb-stomp it.
* ShoutOut: The Sentai equivalent of [[Franchise/{{Godzilla}} Mechagodzilla]] and its roar is taken from various Toho {{Kaiju}}. Its Rebuilt upgrade closely resembles Gigan with elements of Series/{{Ultraseven}}.
* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Zonnette lampshades that the construction of a giant robot is ridiculously expensive, Ritchiritchihiker revealing that he stole money from Gynamo's private funds to make the needed payments.
* TheWorfEffect:
** The original model of Braking overwhelms and captures RV Robo with ease yet is quickly beaten when the Carrangers bring out the VRV Machines and gets knocked back into Baribarian.
** In its rebuilt form it overwhelms the VRV Machines at first but winds up overwhelmed by the newly debuting VRV Fighters mode and finished off by the newly formed VRV Robo.

!!Norishiron Series Robots
!!!In General
* CardboardPal: They're cardboard punchouts from the Space Land magazine brought to life by Exhaus (who also publishes them).
* EvilCounterpart: The Norishirons are, in many ways, the Bowzock's answer to the Carrangers' Giant Robos. Even the Final variant has its own version of VRV Robo's Victory Twister finishing attack.
* MeaningfulName: Their names are derived from the Japanese word "Norishiro", which is translated as "overlap" if translated to English.

!!!Norishiron 12
The first of the Norishiron Series Robots to appear. It served as Zelmondo's personal mecha.
----
* CurbstompBattle: Norishiron 12 manages to flatten VRV Robo and Sirender in its debut fight with ease, and would've won if it weren't for its right arm falling off because Grotch forgot to put an important pin on it.
* UndignifiedDeath: Noroshiron 12 was turned back into cardboard punchouts and exploded after being hit in the face by PP Chiipuri's youth cream.

!!!Norishiron Extra
A special edition of the Norishiron Series Robots to appear. It was sent to help SS Sutatanzo and Bara Mobile fight the Carrangers and Ohrangers.
----
* WeHardlyKnewYe: The Extra variant appears for the last few minutes of ''Carranger vs. Ohranger'' where it manages to turn the tide of Statanzo's and Bara Mobile's fight against the heroes before the timely arrival of Sirender who blew it to scrap quickly.

!!!Norishiron Final
The final version of the Norishiron Series Robots to appear. Exhaus gave it to Zelmoda, Grotch, and Gynamo to fight the Carrengers.
----
* FakeUltimateMook: Due to Gynamo becoming less competent as a result of his heartbreak and the Bowzock's own failings in improving as the Carrangers got better, Norishiron Final didn't live up to its name as the "ultimate robot", with VRV Robo taking little effort to defeat it.
* WorldsStrongestMan: The Final variant is referred to as the Bowzock's "ultimate robot" by Exhaus.

!!Akumagic Mecha
A trio of animal themed mecha used as part of a scheme to capture Dappu and strip the Carrengers of their Carmagic.
----
* AnimalMotifs: As with the Barricars, each Akumagic Mecha has an animal theme: NobleBirdOfPrey for Sky Gigune, ThreateningShark for Marine Zaboon, and KingOfBeasts for Land Zuzoon all referencing ''Sun Vulcan''.
* BattleBoomerang: Marine Zaboon can detatch its fin and throws it like a boomerang.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: They were defeated and blown to scrap by the Carrangers' Giant Robos after Dappu overloaded them with too much Kuru-Magic Power.
* LandSeaSky: Sky Gigune represents air, Marine Zaboon represents the ocean, and Land Zuzoon represents land.
* ManaDrain: By capturing Dappu, the Akumagic Mecha can convert Kuru-Magic Power into Akumagic Power while weakening the Carrangers' Giant Robos.
* ShoutOut:
** They're the evil HumongousMecha parody of ''Series/TaiyouSentaiSunVulcan''.
** Land Zuzoon's signature BattleBoomerang attack is a reference to the [[Series/{{Ultraseven}} Eye Slugger]].
* ThisIsADrill: Marine Zaboon has one on its left arm.
* WolverineClaws: Land Zuzoon has a pair of claws.
[[/folder]]

!!Others

[[folder:Bara Mobile]]
A car/tanuki-themed robot monster and the final Baranoia Empire [[Series/ChourikiSentaiOhranger Bara Machine]], with his faction long defeated he plans to restart it by fusing humans to cars to create human/car hybrids which to rule over as their new emperor. He teams up with Bowzock after an initial misunderstanding.
----
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Downplayed and parodied. Bara Mobile barely tries to hide his true intentions and gets Kyousuke and the other Carrangers to protect him at first by pretending to be an injured victim of the Ohranger's cruel attacks and persecution. He drops the act once Red Racer wises up.
* DirtyCoward: Spends most of his screentime running away from everything that threatens him and cowering behind Red Racer to protect him from the Ohrangers and the Bowzock (when he believed they wanted to harm him).
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Unlike the other Baranoia members, he can enlarge himself on his own with a wheel mechanism on his head.
* ObviouslyEvil: He looks evil enough as he is and barely even attempts to not seem evil; Kyousuke only falls for his pretenses because he isn't particularly bright and isn't aware of Baranoia. After he reveals his true plans, Kyousuke and Dappu pretty much rationalize that they should've realized he was a bad guy from looks alone.
* PoorCommunicationKills: Could've joined forces with Bowzock from the start if he had made his true intentions clear. On their side he believed they wanted to enslave/harm him due to their aggressive approach to recruiting him.
* TheRemnant: With the infant and innocent Buldont Jr. and the reformed Acha and Kocha being the only other Baranoia members left, Bara Mobile is the only Baranoia member left who's out to continue his faction's legacy in some way.
* VillainTeamUp: After clearing up the misunderstandings between himself and the Bowzock and being kidnapped and taken to Baribarian to talk, he teams up with them and Zonnette even treats him as the new boss, to Gynamo's dismay.
