!! Player Characters According to Guild
* Many characters in the Floating Castle have split into Guilds, while other players work as solo operatives. The nature of the Roleplay allows for all possible combinations.

[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:The Church]]
!!Konrad "Kurt" Schweinorg
* BadassPreacher: Although he's [[spoiler: probably not actually in the Church anymore, the disguise has served him well throughout his time here]]. He also once blessed an entire waterfall in order to wipe out a horde of the undead.
* KnightInSourArmor: Yeah, he'll help you, and complain about your incompetence the entire time.
* TurbulentPriest

[[/folder]]
[[folder:Heroes Unlimited]]
!!Salvantas Longdium / Mr. Blanks
* BadassBookworm: Nerd by day, Vigilante by night.
* BadassLongcoat
* BloodKnight: This mostly extends to Mr. Blanks' side of the personality.
* KarmaHoudini: Nice or not, Salvantas ''is'' letting Mr. Blank get away with literal murder in the name of a greater good.
* SplitPersonality: Salvantas is an idealist with a heart of gold, Mr. Blanks is the more pragmatic of the pair, dealing with the more difficult assignments.
** [[spoiler: After recent events, Salvantas has developed another personality, Jadas, who manages to make Mr. Blanks like one of the good guys.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Salvantas really does want to help. He's just going about it in a different way. This is even more true of Blank.

!!Likovya
* CircusBrat: Her former home was a travelling circus.
* JumpedAtTheCall: She has taken a liking to being in the castle and [[spoiler: fighting anti-guild members]].
-->"...It’s a good thing I’m starting to like saving them [Storm and Drive] so much."

[[/folder]]
[[folder:The Lore Knights]]
!!Lori [[spoiler:(Lorelei Rhine Swift)]]
* BadassBookworm
* {{Bookworm}}
* Jerkass: She most definitely has her moments.
* SecretIdentity: No one must ever know of her former identity as [[spoiler: an extremely powerful and famous sage]].
* SecretKeeper: For [[spoiler: Julius and Anjali while they're hiding out in the library]].
* UnscrupulousHero

!!Lovia Tevinter

!!Fern
* GreenThumb: Mandora, one of his Summons is a ambulatory plant-creature.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Fern isn't his real name, due to his magic having some true-name roots.
* ThePerfectionist: If he's going to do something, hell or high water, he's going to do it ''right''.
* PlayingWithFire: Nethis, one of his Summons is a fire-bird.
* SummonMagic: His main form of spellcasting, via SummoningRitual.
* WizardingSchool: Where he studied prior to making his way into the Castle.

[[/folder]]
[[folder:Phantom Thieves Anonymous]]
!!Giselle

* BottomlessMagazines: Averted. her first mission in the game involves her running ''out'' of arrows and having to acquire new ones.

!!Seire "Kaitou" Valefar
* AbsurdlySharpBlade: Manages to stab a heavily built man down to the collarbone and cut easily through magical ice with just a pair of scissors, without even mentioning some of his [[ImplausibleFencingPowers feats of swordsmanship.]]
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: Such that Seire was evidently capable of [[TaughtByExperience teaching himself swordsmanship solely through fighting more experienced combatants and perfectly copying and countering all of their styles.]]
* BadassBoast: Shows no hesitation in reminding others of exactly how awesome he is, oftentimes in the third person.
* BadassLongcoat: Wears one proudly, and is very, very fond of it.
* BloodKnight: He's been shown to find fighting tremendously enjoyable.
* BoisterousBruiser
* CatchPhrase: "Seire Valefar, the Legendary Phantom Thief!"
** "Courage, fortitude, and a man's burning heart! These are the things that shall determine what will be!" and variants thereof also seem to be becoming one.
* CombatPragmatist
* TheChessmaster: If his many [[BatmanGambit capers]] are any indication...
* DarkAndTroubledPast: From what we've been shown, Seire's childhood was spent alternatively locked within a tiny box or toiling away as a slave in a mining pit.
* DeadpanSnarker: He gets in his fair share of sarcastic quips.
* DualWielding: [[KatanasAreJustBetter Some sort of katana/saber mashup]] and a pair of scissors.
* EvilLaugh: Seems rather fond of these for when things go JustAsPlanned.
* TheGadfly
* GentlemanThief
* GuileHero: Oh so very much.
* HonorAmongThieves: Perhaps his most defining trope.
* HotBlooded: Reasonably so at most times, but taken up to eleven in his interactions with his guildmates.
* IJustWantToBeFree: His driving motivation as a child.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Seire finds more uses for a completely ordinary pair of scissors than most people could for a Swiss Army Knife, most of which involve stabbing.
* InformedAttribute: You wouldn't guess that he had a nickname if it wasn't listed right there. Well, unless his CatchPhrase counts. For that matter, you also wouldn't guess that he was apparently well acquainted with Kurt.
** His [[GuileHero guile heroics]] aren't exactly too prominent in the mission to secure the floor 3 entrance; for the majority of the story, his only tactic can be summed up as "hit it with my sword until something good happens".
* JustLikeRobinHood
* KleptomaniacHero: Of epic proportions.
* LargeHam: Possibly the most over-the-top character in the entire castle.
* LoveableRogue: Leader of a ThievesGuild, and a massive troll, but actually one of the [[NiceGuy nicer]] characters in the tower.
* MadeASlave: See DarkAndTroubledPast.
* MagneticHero: Knows he's one, and isn't afraid to use that fact to his advantage. Almost every one of his quests ends with him recruiting his adversaries to join his guild.
* MeaningfulName: Both his first and last name are the names of patron demons of thievery. Considering that he was [[NoNameGiven never given an official name]] in his backstory, this was probably intentional.
** On that note, his former name of [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin "Null"]] also counts, since it signified his obvious lack of an actual name.
* TheParagon: His stated goal is to become one.
* PhantomThief: Refers to himself as such quite frequently.
* RedBaron: Well known by the sobriquet of "The King of Thieves." [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin A more literal title than most,]] in that his guild is literally so large as to have become a micro-nation.
* ThePiratesWhoDontDoAnything: Seire largely enforces this sort of attitude in relation to his guild, keeping his thieves in check so as not to "cause any major incidents." Completely averted, however, in regards to himself. See KleptomaniacHero.
* UnspokenPlanGuarantee: Loves using this to reveal his [[ThePlan plans.]][[/folder]]

[[folder:Severed Storm]]

!! Tropes Covering the Entire Guild

* BreakingTheFellowship: Has taken place since the beginning of [[spoiler: the civil war, with [[TheLancer Julius]] going missing, [[TheLeader Anjali]] losing her identity, Eliziya going kind of nuts and Tamar choosing to aid Hector in defeating Luca and Asha rather than ascending to the next floor. Only Marcus is really working to bring the team back together]]. It remains to be seen whether or not the split will remain permenant.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: perhaps more so than any other guild, with the roster consisting of a former Street Rat turned Guild Leader, an exiled royal guard, a [[spoiler: kidnapped]] healer with a speech impediment, a runaway [[spoiler: member of royalty]], a Doctor with parental issues and... Morionem.

!!Anjali Torvantine
* AmnesiacsAreInnocent: Without her memories, Anji is far less outgoing, snarky and energetic than she was beforehand and has a pretty bad reaction to any recollections of her past. Thank goodness Ben got to her before anyone else could.
* TheArtfulDodger: Grew up in the slums and was a well-known thief before she met Eliziya.
* TheChainsOfCommanding: Comes from running one of the most prominent guilds in the castle.
* DeadpanSnarker: She is one of the more sarcastic people on the castle, her attitude is nearly as sharp as her knives.
* {{Determinator}}: Is definitely developing shades of this degree of stubbornness.
* FieryRedhead: Definitely fits the trope.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She's not always the most patient or kind person in the castle, but she'll always lend a hand if necessary.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: After she was returned from being stone and healed... she had no idea who Julius was.
* TheNicknamer: generally gives slightly mocking, affectionate nicknames to people, especially Hector. Has also taken to calling Tamar 'Your Majesty'.
* TheWorfEffect: She and Julius were the first to encounter Kavros's shadow, and were easily beaten.

!!Ben
* ArbitrarySkepticism: Despite living in a world where magic is obviously possible, she had no faith in Kurt's ability to accomplish anything with his blessings.
* BreakTheHaughty: While overall a good, unselfish person Ben's FatalFlaw is Pride, and her experience with Kravos is a ''huge'' blow for her usual self confidence, [[NightmareFuel with good reason.]] Kevin then calls her out on holds herself up to an impossible high standard to which she wouldn't hold anyone else.
* EmbarrassingFirstName: Ben is short for [[spoiler: Belinda]].
* TheFettered: She has a strict moral code, and on top of that can't do anything that puts either of the two countries she represents in a bad light.
* FieryRedhead
* ILikeSwords: She's trained to proficiency in a number of martial art forms, but her weapon of choice is always her broadsword.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: [[spoiler: Julius]] is the only one who knows her as anything but Ben.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething

!!Darren
* CowardlyLion
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: After getting paired with Curtiss on a quest, the latter initially considered his teammate to be dead weight. Then they met up with a homicidal wizard with a penchant for large amounts of [[ShockAndAwe electrified]] [[NoKillLikeOverkill overkill]], and Darren's strategy to get him to stop was to run up to him and [[TalkingTheMonsterToDeath talk him down]], dodging extra-strength lightning bolts with every step. [[CallBack It even earned him a favorable mention from Curtiss during his next mission.]]
* NotHimself: Thanks to the effects of the rage spell.

!!Eliziya Torvantine[[spoiler:/Bellestin]]
* BewareTheNiceOnes
* HealingHands: An unusual contrast with her fire based abilities.
* TheMedic
* MysteriousPast
* MoralityPet: For [[spoiler: Asha]], which is supposedly part of the reason why [[spoiler: Asha saves Tamar's life after he is stabbed by Tragedy]].
* PlayingWithFire
* SanitySlippage: Has really been showing up ever since she got her hands on one of the Rage Amulets, but turns out her mental illness is hereditary,
* ShipperOnDeck
* ShrinkingViolet
* SpeechImpediment: Has Echolalia, causing her to repeat the last thing somebody says to her.
* TookALevelInBadass: Her adventures as Asha's body mean that Asha apparently left a huge repository of power in Eliziya after she died. This power has shown that it as the potential to kill her: rather than freaking out, though, Eliziya comes across as being completely in control of the situation, pulling off spectacular new magical tricks, and while she still has nerves around some others, she is now completely comfortable with Tamar and others she's close to.

!!Hector Erastus
* BloodKnight: His love for fighting is perhaps his most obvious trait.
-->'''Tamar''': I think all your ideas of fun involve stabbing things.
* TheBigGuy: He is easily one of the tallest and physically muscular characters in the Castle.
* BookDumb
* [[spoiler: BrokenPedestal:]] [[spoiler: To Tamar, [[RebuiltPedestal briefly]]]].
* {{BFS}}: His weapon of choice is a massive claymore he lovingly refers to as Ivory. It is quite unwieldy even in Hector's hands, and he seems more effective with his hands or lighter weapons, even with his immense strength helping him. Regardless, it is his primary weapon.
** WreckedWeapon: That is, until it was shattered by a castle guardian.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: It seems to have followed him too as two individuals from his past, Luca and Asha, have also appeared in the Floating Castle.
* {{Determinator}}: Whether it is some kind of magic he doesn't understand, a more powerful foe, or physical disabilities, Hector has found a way to overcome them all.
* [[spoiler: EyeScream]]: [[spoiler: Had his left eye completely destroyed when a rioter cut a knife through it]]
** GoodScarsEvilScars
* TheFettered: His moral code specifically forbids him from killing humans, which is a problem when some of those humans have no qualms about killing ''him''. Please note this was [[BloodKnight not always the case]].
* HeroicVow: Vowed to never kill another human.
* [[ICallItVera I call it Ivory]].
** CargoShip: Ivory is the "Love of his life," according to Hector
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: Was known as The Jade Devil before he arrived in the Floating Castle.
* MultiMeleeMaster: Prides himself on his knowledge and uses of various weapons and techniques associated with them. His current fighting style involves using a hand axe, his fists, and his massive sword, Ivory. Sometimes [[GrievousHarmWithABody his own opponents]].
* MilesToGoBeforeISleep
* ObliviousToLove: Has about as much romantic awareness as a turnip would. [[spoiler: Though Ivory, named after his master Olivia, has been referred to as the love of his life by him]]. It's likely that he understands or recognizes romance, and just has no interest in it.
* TaughtByExperience: Implied; He has no true discernible fighting style that would have come with direct training, but is clearly one of the most skilled and knowledgeable fighters in battle.
* TechnicalPacifist: While he loves to fight and battle ever challenging foes, he seems completely unwilling to take the life of any human opponent he faces and has even shown hesitation on his ever increasing encounters and battles with non-human opponents.
* {{Mentor}}: To Tamar.
** TricksterMentor: Zigzagged. He is straight forward in most of his lessons to Tamar, but he enjoys the more trickster side of things when he believes Tamar should figure things out on his own. He shows more signs of this when he somehow tricks Anji into learning basic swordplay as well.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: How Hector viewed his relationship with Asha and Luca, individuals who now clearly hate him.

!!Marcus Oracon
* AssassinOutclassin: Killed two members of the Assassin's guild before they started targeting him. He has since been responsible for the deaths of three other members
* CarryABigStick: Currently wields a flanged mace he took from the opponent who broke his last weapon
* GeniusBruiser: A capable combatant in his own right who usually comes up with the plan when working with someone else. Also has some proficiency with herbs and medicine due to his backstory.
* MultiMeleeMaster: Has been shown to be competent with spears and maces, as well as a competent hand-to-hand combatant.

!!Morionem

* CloudCuckoolander
* HealingHands
* IdiotHero: A nice guy who means well, but doesn't always get it right.
* ShieldBash: seeing as this was his first real weapon.
* ShockAndAwe
* TookALevelInBadass: [[http://forum.watchthefootage.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=1081&p=51292#p50944 In his quest with Fern. ]] Morionem has definitely been practising.

!!Tamar Delaney[[spoiler:/Erebus Castor]]
* TheApprentice: To Hector.
* AnIcePerson
* BadLiar
* BigScrewedUpFamily: These are a family who, in Anjali's words, "liked to burn street rats for fun", and they didn't treat Tamar any better.
* ButIReadABookAboutIt: Most of his understanding of swordplay initially comes from books. Needless to say this doesn't work.
* EmotionalPowers: However it inverts PersonalityPowers. His positive emotions are linked to fire, while anger and pain are linked to ice. And he seems to have trouble shaking off the latters after effects...
* FlamingSword: Appears to be developing fire powers but unlike most mages, he can only use it by channelling the power through his sword.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Probably as a result of having no idea how to talk to people.
--> ''"I'm glad it didn't kill you, that would've sucked."''
* NoSocialSkills: Occasionally veering into CloudCuckoolander territory. Even after he reaches the point of being able to take on an entity such as Asha, he still has trouble [[CannotSpitItOut telling Eliziya he loves her.]]
* PlayingWithFire
* TheRunaway: If you knew his family, you'd see why.
* SecondHourSuperpower: His latent magical ability manifests at ''just'' the right moment to defeat the Vermin Lord, although there was a little Foreshadowing.
* ShrinkingViolet: Who is trying to be a swordsman...
* TookALevelInBadass: After a great deal of training and having to take on Asha entirely on his own, Tamar's experiences were either going to amount in this or death. Fortunately, it was the former.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Unaligned Characters]]
!!Alexander Curtiss
* ArrogantKungFuGuy: He's extremely proud of his skills, and he won't hesitate to remind you. [[InformedAbility He doesn't always get to use them, though.]]
* BadassBoast: "I kept my cool being chased by a [[CameBackWrong half-summoned]] [[EldritchAbomination behemoth]] [[CallBack in the underground]]; I can deal with [[MightyGlacier some]] [[NighInvulnerable random]] [[DishingOutDirt rock]] [[RockMonster monster]]."
* CombatPragmatist: And a rather violent one at that. Lightning-spamming wizard on the loose? Hide in a tree and toss a knife into his spine. Vampire mage leading a summoning ritual for some unknown but likely dangerous creature? [[StrictlyFormula Hide behind a wall and toss a knife into her face.]] Nigh-invulnerable golem? [[RuleOfThree Hide behind a wall and toss a bomb at it.]] Teammates about to get skewered? Distract the golem by [[HoistByHisOwnPetard looting a crystal spike from one of its earlier attacks]] and ''[[EyeScream stabbing it in the eye]]''. Trapped by a wall of stalagmites? Use said crystal spike to cut down the stalagmites, [[HoistByHisOwnPetard causing them to fall on the golem's head]].
* ComicallySerious: "The granola has failed me."
* DeathGlare: To emphasize how ''extremely annoying'' he finds Seire's shenanigans.
* DistressBall: He's good at running around and scouting, yeah, but [[FragileSpeedster significantly worse at melee combat]], leading to him getting incapacitated in his team's fight with a group of rakes ''seconds after the fight began''. Lampshaded; when he shows up later, [[TalkingTheMonsterToDeath having talked his way out of captivity]], he's quick to complain about how "This sort of thing doesn't happen to me, ''ever''."
* FireForgedFriends: Well, not quite ''friends'', but his first mission ended with he and his partner on significantly better terms than when they'd set out, due in part to Darren's [[CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass rather surprising show of skill]] at the climax.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Looted a couple of crystal spikes from a golem [[HoistByHisOwnPetard that used them as its primary method of attack]].
* [[InHarmsWay In Harm's Way]]: It's implied he agreed to help Giselle map the underground because he was bored of his usual duties and heard there was some excitement to be had in the lower levels. [[WordOfGod According to his creator]], it's also why he became a scout in the first place- there are few things he enjoys more than exploring uncharted territory, sneaking just under enemy radar or simply [[SceneryPorn marveling at the view]].
* [[JerkAss Jerkass]]: [[WordOfGod According to his creator]], his defining character trait. Showed up fairly prominently at the start of his first mission, wherein he spent most of his spare time muttering to himself about being saddled with a partner who evidently was completely incapable of defending himself- within earshot of said partner.
* {{Keet}}: On occasion, albeit minus the part about being small. For example, there was that one time he decided to snack on some drugged granola and ended up ridiculously hyper.
* KleptomaniacHero: Not to a major extent, but he occasionally loots stuff he finds on missions [[ItAmusedMe for no real reason]]. [[ChekhovsGun They usually turn up as quest rewards later on.]]
* LeeroyJenkins: His trip to the underground had a few instances where he'd run into a tunnel on his own or snipe an enemy with one of his knives, only to promptly end up chased out by an entire horde of opponents. He got better about it by the time he took on his mission to secure the entrance to the third floor, even chiding one of his allies on multiple occasions for charging into battle without a plan.
* MurderIsTheBestSolution: He's joked about it, at least. "Did you try throwing a knife at him?"
* ShoutOut: [[Series/DoctorWho LOOK AT ME I'M A TARGET]]
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: With anyone he gets paired up with, really, but ''especially'' Seire, whose ability to [[MagneticHero charm others into working with him]] is overshadowed by how much everything he does irritates Curtiss to no end.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Seems to enjoy the company of Likovya of Heroes Unlimited, despite their frequent disagreements.

!!Genevieve Hunter
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Jenny is kind and dislikes harming living beings, including non-humans, but will step up to the bat whenever it's needed of her and certainly knows what she's doing with a weapon.
* TheBlacksmith: Along with Ben, does some work at Tad's smith.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname

!!Mirae
* ShockAndAwe: Mirae's main powers are electricity based.
* TheStoic: Is generally very controlled and calm in demeanour, even considering her very first mission involved chasing a lot of cows around the town.
* WalkingTheEarth: Appeared to have been doing this before coming to the castle.

!!Nokir

!!Pan, aka Timpani Aria Saterne

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Threatening her forest home will probably result in some serious pain for the culprits.
* ForestRanger.
* MagicStaff: her primary weapon. The staff is used to channel magical, however, and has been used by all magical members of her family in the past.
* MeaningfulName, her last name, 'Saterne', is a variation on Saturn because her character's staff was once drawn in the shape of the Symbol for Saturn.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname
* SuperpowerfulGenetics: Played with, Pan is the first in her family to have magic in a few generations, but other members ''have'' been mages within her living memory.

!!Riffe

!!Victor[[/folder]]

[[folder:Non Player Characters]]
!!Adam (The Princeling)
* TheCharmer
* SpoiledBrat: How he started out
* TookALevelInKindness: Adam starts out a spiteful child organizing riots to cause trouble in the newly inhabited city, before Julius taught him some manners. After several encounters with monsters, a somewhat lss violent meeting with a rather nice goblin, and some actual CharacterDevelopment, Adam returned to the city and is now Legias' second in command.

!!Arthur, The Late King

!!Aydin
!!Black Zess
!!Elric
* TheScrooge: a self-admitted miser
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Refused to abandon Marcus when he heard his employee had become the target of the Assassin's guild

!!Gindred Vaulk
!!Gwrtheyrn
!!Hara
* TheFaceless: She has kept her face hidden under a hood in every appearance. Taken to ridiculous levels when her hood fell off...and she was wearing a mask and clot wraps to keep her face concealed.
* PsychoForHire: She shows little patience for small talk but excitement at the prospect of murdering someone

!!Kevin Aqaba
!!Legias
* ActionGirl
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: can be blunt, suspicious and tough, but in general she only wants the best for the Castle's inhabitants.

!!The Prophet
!!Tam Ayers
* BerserkButton: For the love of ''god'', don't mistreat your weaponry.
* TheBlacksmith: The primary Blacksmith in the Floating castle, he runs the main forge in town.
* StoutStrength: For reasons mentioned above.
!!Yester the Goblin

!!Master Cloth
* HiddenVillain
* SamusIsAGirl

!! Comedy and Tragedy
* AlasPoorVillain: Okay so they fatally stabbed a PC and knocked out the other after mind controlling a bunch of missing people, but they're obviously just extremely messed up kids who have little concept of the morality of what they're doing.
* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: Considering she spends most of the time insulting him, Comedy reacts VERY badly when Tragedy is wounded.
* BerserkButton: Don't hurt Comedy's brother. Seriously.
* [[spoiler: BodyHorror]]: A possible reaction to when [[spoiler:they fuse in one being.]]
* [[CreepyChild Creepy Children]]: Oh so very much.
* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy
* RedOniBlueOni: Comedy being the former, Tragedy the latter.

!! The Assassin Guildmaster
* TheFaceless: Much like his apprentice Hara
* PsychicPowers: So far has displayed telepathy and telekinesis, along with possible teleportation and/or illusions

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Villains]]
These are enemies specifically related to the main story. Player controlled Villains do not go here.
!!Shardreach
* GeniusLoci: For the entire Castle. The guardians of each floor are connected to him, as he is to them. Until they die or abdicate, that is.
* TheDragon: To the King.

!!The King
* SheIsTheKing
* {{Telepathy}}: Her usual way of speaking.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Deceased Characters (spoilers)]]
!!Asha, The "Onyx Raven"
* AlasPoorVillain: She had a pretty sucky life, and it didn't end happily.
* BadassLongRobe
* DeathSeeker: Did not ''start out'' this way, but by the end of their story arc it's clear she's gotten in over her head and just wants everything over with.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: The moment where she truly falls out of line with Luca's policies is the moment when he allows Eliziya to offer Asha control of her body, essentially killing her.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: In a stark contrast to Luca. Asha's death allows her to retain whatever humanity she was left with after years of sacrificing everything for the sake of power.
* CoolMask: Her most iconic feature is the large white mask that covers her entire face.
* TheFaceless: She has never been seen without her mask on.
* KilledOffForReal: Though remnants of her spirit remain within both Tamar and Zi.
* LadyOfBlackMagic: Has accomplished magical abilities no other character has been capable of, such as making a labyrinth of mirrors, conjuring high-leveled shadow creatures, to vaporizing a squad of soldiers, even healing fatal wounds of others on several occasions.
* PetTheDog: Saving Tamar's life, and taking care of Zi.
* TheDragon: To Luca
* RedemptionEqualsDeath: Tamar destroying the personification of her magic allows her to finally die, returning control of Eliziya's body to her in the process.
* TheSpeechless: For most of her appearances she never actually spoke a line of dialogue.
** This is because she doesn't [[NightmareFuel have a mouth.]] Or a head, or a body for that matter. By the point in the story she is introduced, she is essentially a spirit.
* SuicideByCop: Turns out, this is what she was playing at with Tamar: recognizing his magical ability as innately different to her own, her saving him and following him around was her own twisted way of ''training'' him to the point where he could finally [[DeathSeeker kill her]].
* TheUnintelligible: Somehow, this did not seem to affect Luca's ability to communicate/understand her. As seen with her encounters with Zi and Tamar, she can speak with other characters through the projection of memories and emotions. This is also a two way tunnel, as she was able to see Tamar's memories when he saw hers.
* WouldHurtAChild: Had no hesitation in restraining Eliyiza while Luca was threatening to chop off her ears. Though future stories and side stories seem to make it clear that there was never an intention to hurt Eliyiza, at least on Asha's part.
* YouCanNotGraspTheTrueForm: In that, there literally is no form to grasp underneath those masks and robes. The Personification of her magic Tamar battles may also count.
!!Luca Maeori, "The Crimson Hound."
* BadassLongcoat: Sports a a dark blue one.
* BattleAura: Luca receives a fiery red one while under the magical effects of Ba'al
* BloodKnight
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Subverted. Found the tactic of Kidnapping Eliziya to be despicable, but went through with it anyway.
* EvilRedhead
* FlawExploitation: Used this when he tossed Hector to the rioters, giving him a knife to defend himself knowing that Hector's code would not allow for him to kill his attackers. Even though this almost assured Hector's death, he was visibly upset that he would not break his vow.
* HeroicRROD: A villainous inversion, after Luca [[spoiler: finds the source of the rage spell.
* ICallItVera: Luca names the sword he forged from the Minotaur's horn Ba'al, following the same ritual Hector does.
** TranquilFury: can activate this on command thanks to the magic within Ba'al, and also because he's trained his willpower to avoid the negative effects of the rage spell.
* KickTheDog: Kidnapping Eliyza and throwing Hector to his death, obviously but also Mortally wounding Legias in battle.
* KilledOffForReal
* MagicKnight: Accomplishes this by using magical talismans that give temporary knowledge of casting spells from the ether.
* [[CityGuards City Guard:]] Holds an officer position in the City Guard, and was even one of the original people to encourage Legias to start the city guard. However, as with his unfettered tendency, this was mostly to advance towards his own goals. Until he finally unfolded with his plan to start a civil war in the middle of the city, and abdicated his position.
* TheBerserker: Has essentially become this by weaponizing the TranquilFury of Ba'al.
* TheManBehindTheMan: To Soren's ArcVillain status.
* OnlyTheChosenMayWield: A dark version. Turns out his sword Ba'al was created as a projection of the source of the rage spell. It considered Luca a worthy wielder of it's power... until he gives in to his [[VillainousBreakdown own anger]]. Upon revealing himself unworthy, Ba'al withdraws it's power and is shattered. The lack of a good channelling system then leads directly to Luca's death.
* TheUnfettered
* WouldHurtAChild: His threat to Anji upon kidnapping Eliziya, should she have failed to follow his request. Whether he would have actually carried it out, however, may be up to debate
.
!!Julius Valerian
* BeleagueredAssistant: [[spoiler: Lori]] insists he has to be her personal assistant in order to [[spoiler: preserve TheMasquerade that Julius and Anji are dead]].
* CombatPragmatist: Julius is careful about entering confrontations, and always attempts to understand the situation before drawing his swords. But whenever he does, he fights with every bit of his skill at all times.
-->''“Don’t talk in the middle of a fight. It’ll mess up your breathing.”''
* {{Determinator}}
* DualWielding: He acquired a second sword from his EvilCounterpart and now wields it along with his own sword.
* FlamingSword: In the fight against the Minotaur idol.
* KilledOffForReal
* MadeOfIron: His list of injures include broken ribs, concussions, several cuts and bruises and he even got his left arm broken once. [[{{Determinator}} He just keeps fighting]].
* ObfuscatingStupidity: His Fade persona.
* ShoutOut: Both his last name and skills are a reference to [[{{Literature/CodexAlera}} Codex Alera]].
* TheWorfEffect: He and Anji were the first to encounter Kavros's shadow, and were easily beaten.
** Again, this time against Shardreach.
!!Soren Kavros
* ArcVillain: As the current leader of the Anti-Guild Army.
** BaitAndSwitchBoss: While presented as the leader of the anti-guild army, he was quickly replaced with a far more ruthless and powerful LivingShadow of himself.
* BigBadWannabe: Until he was killed and replaced by a shadow doppelganger.
* {{BFS}}: His shadow's main weapon while fighting.
* KickTheDog: His thrashing of Julius and giving Anji a fatal wound [[spoiler: even if the 'fatal' part didn't pan out]]
* KilledOffForReal
* EvilDoppelganger: While Kavros was always an asshole, his "shadow" self is just ruthless.
