----
!The Go-ongers
They are seven humans of the Human World (Earth), one of eleven Braneworlds in the universe, chosen by the Engines of Engine World to combat the Gaiark forces. Three were initially picked to be the first three members of the team, with two more people who stumbled across their battles against Gaiark's forces joining them later on. These five people who are partnered with land-based Engines are later joined by the Go-On Wings, the Suto siblings, who were chosen by aerial Engines.
[[folder:Sosuke Esumi/Go-on Red]]
!!Sosuke Esumi/[[red:Go-on Red]] | [-Actor: Yasuhisa Furuhara-]
A confident and unyielding race car driver who constantly believes in miracles. He becomes Go-on Red when the race track is attacked by a platoon of Ugatz, crossing paths with Saki and Renn before he is chosen by Bomper and Engine Speedor for his valor.
----
* AnimeHair: His hair is brown and styled in such a way that it's wild and messy.
* CatchPhrase: "Mach ______" (most frequently "Mach Speed")
* ComedicUnderwearExposure: Poor guy goes through this a lot, the most notable time being in [=GP15=].
* CoolSword: The Road Saber, a sword fashioned after a street with lane markers. It can still pack a punch despite the cool features.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Is he dimwitted? Maybe. Does that stop him from smacking the daylights of the [[MonsterOfTheWeek Banki of the week]]? Absolutely not.
* DisneyDeath: [[spoiler:In GP 35-36 where he's turned into basically a rusted statue. He thankfully gets better by the end of GP 36.]]
* DubNameChange: "Maha" in the Korean dub.
* FreakyFridayFlip: In GP 12, with Hatsuden (Generator) Banki.
* FriendToAllChildren: For a HotBlooded guy, he's very easy on the little kids, showing affection and even wanting to protect them.
* HotBlooded: Very boisterous, enthusiastic and sometimes reckless.
* IdiotHero: Compared to the rest of the team he is by far the most dimwitted.
* InvincibleHero: Averted in GP 8 as an {{Aesop}}. While helping Speedor recover from a bad rust, Sosuke kept believing that a miracle will happen, since they're the heroes; nothing happened. In the end, he decided to make miracles happen, rather than waiting for them.
* LawOfChromaticSuperiority: As per Super Sentai tradition, gets the Kankan Bar and the Ancient Engines.
* TheLeader: As usual with every Super Sentai installments.
* TheMcCoy: [[HotBlooded Highly emotional]] and [[IdiotHero not very bright]].
* MrFanservice: Oddly enough. Throughout the season he appears in various states of undress, most of them PlayedForLaughs given the nature of the show.
** On the flip side, his actor, Yasuhisa Furuhara, starred in an idol DVD that plays with this trope a lot more seriously than in ''Go-onger'' itself.
* RedOniBlueOni: The red to Hiroto's blue.
** During ''Shinkenger vs. Go-Onger'', he's the red oni to Takeru's blue oni.
* SeriousBusiness: Though not to the extent of some other Rangers, since he does it mainly as a parody of 60s' Japanese daytime dramas.
* ShipTease: An early episode hinted that he might have romantic interest in Saki when he became worried about her spending time with a man outside the group (who, it turns out, she was asking for advice on how to defeat the MonsterOfTheWeek). He eventually gets heavy BelligerentSexualTension with Miu.
* SignatureMove: ''Saber Straight''
** KiManipulation: ''Doru Doru Dan'', when he unlocked his inner [[Series/JukenSentaiGekiranger Geki]].
** SuperMode: Hyper Go-on Red, when he combined his Mantan Gun with the [[Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger Kyoryu Disk]].
* TakenForGranite: A variant where [[spoiler:he was turned into a Bronze statue in GP 35-36. He gets better though.]]
* WinkDing: Does this in ''Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger VS Go-Onger'' [[http://i53.tinypic.com/ohmzxz.gif right after introducing himself to the Shinkengers]].
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Renn Kosaka/Go-on Blue]]
!!Renn Kosaka/[[blue:Go-on Blue]] | [-Actor: Shinwa Kataoka-]

----
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Ren may be sweet but is not to be trifled with, as seen during GP 25 when he defends a Gaiark that he had believed for years was a sacred family statue, and in GP 35-36 following [[spoiler: Sosuke's DisneyDeath]]
* TheBigGuy: Very skilled in combat and is among the tallest of his team.
* BlueMeansSmartOne: He's a knowledgeable bus driver who serves as the team's brains and Blue Ranger. His team uniform even has the word "Encyclopedia" to describe him.

* GeniusBruiser: A smart guy with lots of knowledge who's not afraid to throw some punches against the Gaiark.
* HandCannon: Garage Launcher
* KiManipulation: ''On On Dan'', during the events of ''Go-onger vs. Gekiranger''.
* MissingMom: GP 25 reveals that Ren's mother was terminally ill and died when he was a very young child.
* OneNoteChef: Despite being the one assigned to cook the team's meals, he is almost always shown to make omelettes every time.
* SignatureMove: ''Launcher Starter''

[[/folder]]
[[folder:Saki Royama/Go-on Yellow]]
!!Saki Royama/[[gold:Go-on Yellow]] | [-Actor: Rina Aizawa-]
A race track concession vendor with a positive and bubbly outlook on life. She was one of the three people who fought against the Gaiark when a platoon of Ugatz attacked a race track, earning Bomper's approval to becoming a Go-Onger. [=BearRV=] became her partner after that.
----
* BadassAdorable: She's probably the most cheerful and bubbly of the team but like any Go-onger, she's able to kick ass.
* BadassInDistress: [[spoiler:Was [[{{Brainwashed}} implanted with a brainwashing chip]] by Noizoon, and then [[DamselInDistress imprisoned inside by 001]] after the aforementioned chip is removed. The Go-ongers bailed her [[EnemyMine with Kegalesia's help]] in end, however.]]
* CatchPhrase: "Smile Smile!"
* DubNameChange: "Seoni" in the Korean dub
* GenkiGirl: Energetic, optimistic and fun-loving.
* TheHeart: The most sociable of the team who tries to stop any form of infighting among the team, such as trying to restrain Sosuke when he gets his back up from the Suto siblings' snark.
* IdolSinger: GP 11 shows that this is a secret dream of hers. In GP 31, she forms an idol group (G3 Princesses) with Miu and Kegareshia in order to defeat a MOTW that functions on sound waves.
* ImageSong: "Smile Smile"
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Racing Bullet

* MeaningfulName: "Saki" means "blooming" in Japanese, which relates to her title, "Smile Blooming."
* OneNoteChef: She's good at making sweets and cakes, but not much else...
* ThePollyanna: She's utterly positive, even when the situation looks grim. Not even [[spoiler:losing her comrades]] racks her for long.
* {{Shorttank}}: Despite having an affinity for girly things, she can be a little tomboyish and her outfit, comprising of a denim skirt with the Go-Onger's yellow uniform for her, even shows it.
* SiblingYinYang: In GP 34, with her sister, who turns out to be the polar opposite of Saki.
* SignatureMove: ''Bullet Crash''
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She was the only girl in the Go-onger team until GP 17, where Miu is introduced.
* SweetTooth: Enjoys sweet treats and even was a concessions vendor before becoming Go-On Yellow. [[spoiler:She even gets to work in a cake shop in the final episode.]]
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Hant Jo/Go-on Green]]
!!Hant Jo/[[green:Go-on Green]] | [-Actor: Masahiro Usui-]
A former pizza deliveryman with a joyful, but rather childish personality. He comes across Saki, Renn, and Sosuke's heroic exploits as the Go-ongers, meeting Gunpei along the way and eventually becoming a Go-onger himself. His Engine partner is Birca.
----
* ButtMonkey: Constantly ends up on the receiving end of jokes and/or unfortunate events, physical or otherwise.
* CatchPhrase: "Doki Doki"
* ChivalrousPervert: Tends to get attracted to beautiful women he comes across and tries to protect them.
* CloudCuckooLander: Rather childish in his personality and can be lost in immaturity at times to focus on the real world.
* DubNameChange: "Jyo" in the Korean dub.
* DumbIsGood: He's rather dimwitted (though not to Sosuke's extent and he's one of the Go-Ongers.
* {{Keet}}: Like Saki, he has a joyful mood.
* KiManipulation: ''Baru Baru Dan'', during the events of ''Go-onger vs. Gekiranger''.
* KidAppealCharacter: It's his childish, immature tendencies that make him quite a likeable dork among the kids watching him, especially when he's on the receiving end of comedy.
* NewJobAsThePlotDemands: Frequently seen taking various part-time jobs, with his commitment to being a Go-Onger affects his job security.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: Sensitive Guy to Gunpei's Manly Man.
* ShipTease: It's occasionally hinted that Hant has a crush on Kegareshia (in GP 14 he falls for her while she is disguised as "Rena", and in other episodes he seems to find her attractive even in her usual form).
* SignatureMove: ''Axe Touring''
* WholesomeCrossdresser: In at least two episodes. Later, in GP 47 Gunpei wants Hant to dress as a girl and pose for fake wedding photos to deceive Gunpei's mother, despite the presence of two actual women on the team.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Gunpei Ishihara/Go-on Black]]
!!Gunpei Ishihara/Go-on Black | [-Actor: Kenji Ebisawa-]
A former cop with a serious personality to his situations and an expert marksman. He is awed by the Go-ongers' heroism to the point where he stole the Engine Casts, but eventually returns them to Bomper and becomes a Go-onger himself, alongside Hant. His Engine partner is Gunpherd.
----
* BadassLongcoat: Subverted For Laughs. Donning a trenchcoat led him to be mistaken for a drug dealer.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: While he's become a lot more crazy as the series goes on, he's a very efficient detective and cop, even teaching self-defense to some of the other members.
* ButtMonkey: Eventually took the role from out of Hant's hands.
* ByTheBookCop: He was a police officer with excellent marksmanship. He only left his work because the police considered the Gaiark was beyond their jurisdiction.
* CloudCuckoolander: Somewhere down the road, a few brain cells dropped dead. By ''Shinkenger vs. Go-onger'', any sanity he might have had left was apparently on vacation.
* DubNameChange: "Alex" in the Korean dub.
* JumpedAtTheCall: Desperate to become a Go-onger to the point of stealing the Engine Casts. It's only when he agrees to hand them back that Bomper decides Gunpei has a strong sense of justice, and allows him and Hant to become Go-on Black and Green.
* KiManipulation: ''Ganga Ganga Dan'', during the events of ''Go-onger vs. Gekiranger''.
* TheLancer: Very capable of combat next to Sosuke, if not better, and is far less HotBlooded than him.
* RealMenHateSugar: Subverted; after having a taste of a cake that Saki made (after Sosuke declared it to be delicious), he eagerly took a piece, saying, "I don't like sweets, but I'll have this."
** In the finale, he tells Saki that he looks forward to the day when she opens her own cake shop. YMMV whether he has developed an appreciation for Saki's cakes and sweets, or if he is merely being a supportive friend.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: Manly Man to Hant's Sensitive Guy.
* SeriousBusiness: When he starts ''interrogating'' the employees at Ren's inn [[spoiler:to learn about his past with the petrified Banki shrine]], you know a line is being crossed.
* TerribleArtist: He is ''terrible'' at drawing. In GP 16, we see his drawing of a penguin, which looks like anything but.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Hiroto Suto/Go-on Gold]]
!!Hiroto Suto/[[gold:Go-on Gold]] | [-Actor: Hidenori Tokuyama-]
A cold, heavily philosophical guy with the ability to sense danger and one of two members of the Go-on Wings. He is professional in fighting, having learnt multiple fighting styles and initially deemed the five Go-Ongers to be "pathetic" due to their supposed inexperience, having undergone professional training under the Wings Race, but eventually warms up to them. His Engine partner is Toripter.
----
* TheAce: One episode has a bunch of Hiroto's groupies saying he could master anything if he wasn't devoting his time to fighting Gaiark.
* AloofAlly: Initially, he considers the five Go-Ongers to be too inexperienced to tackle the Gaiark. He mellows out eventually.
* BigBrotherInstinct: Put his little sister in danger and he'll drop his cool exterior before going after you.
* TheComicallySerious: Even when fully joining the rest of the team, he still tries to distance himself from their sillier antics.
* DangerDeadpan: Drops in a hefty amount of comically serious remarks when danger arises.
* DeadpanSnarker: Most notably when he tells the original five to stand down while they take care of Hiramechides, with his speech carrying a great deal of serious and comical snide. He also tends to do this when duty calls in the form of the Gaiark rearing its ugly head time and time again.
* DubNameChange: "Hiro" in the Korean dub.
* GeniusBruiser: Very knowledgable in Western philosophy and also knows how to beat the daylights out of Gaiark's forces. The fact that he knows boxing and kickboxing also helps with the "bruiser" part.
* InsufferableGenius: Has extensive knowledge about Western philosophy and combat experience...but he'll make sure to rub it on Sosuke and his friends.
* IWorkAlone: Initially, he tells the Go-ongers to leave all the work against Gaiark to him and his sister. He later warms up to the rest of the team, but he and Miu live separately from the Go-ongers.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: {{Pun}} aside, his attitude doesn't prevent him from aiding his sister and friends.
* MeaningfulName: "Hiroto" uses the characters for "big wings", relating to his theme as a Go-on Wing.
* MistakenForTerrorist: In the ''10 Years Grand Prix'' movie, [[spoiler:the remaining Go-ongers believe he attempted to assassinate Noizumi in a suicide bombing and was killed.]] He was actually [[spoiler: trying to publicly talk Noizumi out of raising the Isolation Barrier, only to be caught up in an explosion when [=BearRV=] crash-landed to earth, and ended up on Junk World; then couldn't get back, due to the barrier having been raised.]]
* RedOniBlueOni: The blue to Sosuke's red.
* TheRival: To Sosuke, especially since he told him to stand down in the fight against the Gaiark after defeating the Banki of the week.
* SignatureMove: ''[[PlayingWithFire Burning]] Dagger''
* SixthRanger: Along with Miu.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: He and Miu got a lot of screentime for just two people. [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] because the Wings function as a separate unit from the Go-ongers.
* TheStoic: but NotSoStoic if Miu is in danger and if ghost are present.
* TallDarkAndSnarky: He's competing with Renn as the tallest guy in the team, has the shadiest skin tone and (initially) landed in multiple serious sarcastic remarks.
* TeamDad: His overall heroism causes his team to consider him their father to compliment Renn's mother-figure, which is only enhanced after an incident with a monster from the Sound World. Unlike Renn, he's not too pleased with this relegation.
* {{Tsundere}}: See JerkWithAHeartOfGold. Cold and aloof outside, heroic and warm to his friends inside.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Ghosts are what he is scared of. This was foreshadowed in the Urameshimedes episode, and confirmed as canon down the line.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:Miu Suto/Go-on Silver]]
!!Miu Suto/[[gray:Go-on Silver]] | [-Actor: Yumi Sugimoto-]
Hiroto's slightly more amiable sister and the other member of the Go-on Wings, also having gone through the Wings Race's training. She also has the ability to sense danger through the flowers she waters, but tends to try to improve her comrades in their style and fighting. Her Engine partner is Jetras.
----
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: While Sosuke is brainwashed in the Straw Banki episode, he begins acting like a gangster/Yakuza and offers Miu a stolen ring, which makes her happy. Later, after he has returned to normal, she admits that she preferred him brainwashed.
* AloofAlly: At first like her brother, but she warms up to the Go-ongers much faster than Hiroto does.
* BigBrotherWorship: Admires and depends on her brother ''a lot''. If calling him "Ani" isn't ample evidence of this trait, we don't know what is.
* BelligerentSexualTension: With Sosuke.
%%* TheDitz:
* ImageSong: "Dream Wings"
* MeaningfulName: "Miu" uses the characters for "beautiful wings", relating to her theme as a Go-on Wing.
* NoblewomansLaugh: Her laugh is rather rich and she's basically an aristocrat like her brother.
* NotSoAboveItAll: While Hiroto still tries to maintain a serious attitude, Miu will gladly join the rest of the Go-ongers' antics despite her initial reactions.
* ShipTease: With Sosuke.
* SignatureMove: ''[[HumanPopsicle Free]][[AnIcePerson zing]] Dagger''
* SixthRanger: Along with Hiroto.
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: Dark (aloof,mysterious) to Saki's light (easy-going, bubbly).
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: Knows how to smash Banki but is also going along with Saki's antics as well.
* {{Tsundere}}: She was initially an AloofAlly to the Go-Ongers with her snark and all. Over time, she warms up to them, showing her more affectionate side.
* WeaknessTurnsHerOn: Her bad habit of correcting others' weaknesses has the other teammates to suspect her for being this as of GP 42, especially when some of them believed that her infatuation to Sosuke is partly from this, though [[ObliviousToLove not that he actually aware of]].
* WellExcuseMePrincess: See WeaknessTurnsHerOn, though it's less romantic and more team-building purposes. She often calls out people on their weaknesses and deems them to be rather pathetic compared to her.
[[/folder]]

!The Engines
[[folder:In General]]
The partners of the Go-Ongers, hailing from the Engine World. In order to survive on Earth they need to separate into Engine Casts, miniature versions of their true Engine forms, and Engine Souls, which are cartridge-shaped objects that store the soul of an Engine. When the Engine Casts are reunited with the Engine Souls, the Engines are brought back to full size for ten minutes, after which they risk rusting.
----
* AnimalMecha / AnimalVehicleHybrid: Mixed with CoolCar (for Speedor, Bus-on, [=BearRV=], Gunpherd, and Carrigator), CoolBike (Birca), CoolPlane (Toripter, Jetras, and Jumbowhale), or CoolTrain (Prehistoric Engines).
%%* HourOfPower: Every time a new combination is brought up, they will use everything they have to ensure its success.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: Their [[FunSize chibi]] holographic projections.
* RogerRabbitEffect: Even as holograms, their cartoony forms clash against the live action environment.
* SentientVehicle: Their true forms are giant-sized.
* SleepModeSize: The Engine Casts are them being about the size of toy vehicles, which is smaller than their true forms.
* SoulJar: Their Engine Souls contain their personalities. When Hant mixes them up in Grand Prix 14, their personalities end up having to match the cast they're in.
* VerbalTic: Either a syllable of their respective names or an associated onomatopoeia. Even the non-speaking Prehistoric Engines have their roars counted as these by their verses in the ending.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:[=#1=] Speedor]]
!![[red:Speedor]] | [-Voice actor: Creator/DaisukeNamikawa-]
[[quoteright:180:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/esgo_speedorcartoon.jpg]]
Sosuke's partner, an Engine based on a condor and a sports car. Like Sosuke, he's very courageous and fast, and is equally loyal to his partner.
----
* FlyingCar: Accel Full Throttle has him spread out his foldable wings to take out any airborne enemies.
* NobleBirdOfPrey: He's based on a condor and is one of the heroes of the story.
* ShoutOut: He's a [[Music/DeepPurple Highway Star]].
* VerbalTic: [[SpellMyNameWithAnS Dor/Drrr!]][[note]]The former spelling would match his name; the latter would be his onomatopoeia. The latter is also spelled out on the back of Sosuke's jacket.[[/note]]
[[/folder]]
[[folder:[=#2=] Bus-on]]
!![[blue:Bus-on]] | [-Voice actor: Creator/HisaoEgawa-]

[[quoteright:175:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/esgo_bearrvcartoon.jpg]]
Saki's partner, an Engine based on a bear and an RV. Like Saki, she has a bubbly personality, but isn't afraid to get her wheels dirty saving the day.
----
* BearyFriendly: Averted if you're a Gaiark cohort or ticked off, but otherwise played straight since she's one of the heroes based off a bear.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The only female Engine to have a major role in the series.
* VerbalTic: V!

----
* NeverSmileAtACrocodile: Unless you're his ally.
* StealthPun: Carrigator is pronounced "kari-geta", a reference to his role as the "shoes" of [=EngineOh=] formations from G6 and up.
* TheBigGuy: Even among the Engines, he's part of the Gian Race.
* VerbalTic: Geta!
[[/folder]]

[[quoteright:185:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/esgo_kishamothcartoon.jpg]]
One of the three Prehistoric Engines, who's based on a steam locomotive and a mammoth. He is a peaceful Engine who tries to avoid resorting to force and once fought to defend the dinosaurs with his companions, eventually becoming Sosuke's partner after being moved by his determination. He also seems to have something against one of Gaiark's monsters.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: He gets more characterization on his minute-long ending verse than on the show proper.
* AnIcePerson: Can freeze enemies.
* CoolTrain: It's a steam locomotive.
* MythologyGag: A mammoth-based mecha grouped with dinosaurs and able to snort freezing breath through its trunk. It's [[Series/KyoryuSentaiZyuranger certainly not the first]].
* TheSpeechless: Does not speak, along with T-Line and K-Line.
* VerbalTic: For lack of any, his ending counts his trumpeting as "pao!".

!![[gray:T-Line]]
[[quoteright:180:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/esgo_tlinecartoon.jpg]]
The second of the three Prehistoric Engines, who's based on a bullet train and a Tyrannosaurus. He's brutal in his personality, but is very heroic, especially when he fought alongside his companions to defend the dinosaurs. He also seems to have something against one of Gaiark's monsters.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: Same as Kishamoth during the show's episodic end credits which shows more of his characterisation than the show, owing to his lack of Japanese communication.
* CoolTrain: A bullet train.
* DumbMuscle: Implied through said AllThereInTheManual, where he's described as being the most primitive.
* ManBitesMan: He has teeth, obviously, that can bite foes.
* SatelliteCharacter: Justified since it is one of Kishamoth's cars.
* TheSpeechless: Does not speak, along with Kishamoth and K-Line.
* VerbalTic: For lack of any, his ending counts his roaring as "gao!".

The last of the three Prehistoric engines, who's based on a Triceratops and a bullet train. He's very determined and fought alongside his companions to defend the dinosaurs, but seems to have beef against one of Gaiark's monsters.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: Just like his buddies.
* CoolTrain: Like T-Line, a bullet train.
* ManBitesMan: Or "Engine Bites Enemies", in this case, though it only happened once as a double attack with T-line.
* NatureLover: Implied through the ending.
* SatelliteCharacter: Justified since it is one of Kishamoth's cars.
* TheSpeechless: Does not speak, along with Kishamoth and T-Line.
* VerbalTic: For lack of any, his ending counts his roaring as "gyao!".

!Barbaric Machine Clan Gaiark
The main antagonists of the series who intend to make Earth their new home by polluting its land, seas and air. Three bosses are initially put in charge of realising this goal, but who their leader actually is may be more than meets the eye...
[[folder:Earth Pollution Minister Yogostein]]
!!Earth Pollution Minister Yogostein | [-Voice actor: Creator/KiyoyukiYanada-]
Full name Baron Yogorex de Stein, he a gold, robotic general who leads the charge to pollute Earth, assisted by his accompanying generals.
----

* AlasPoorVillain: At least on the villains side, there was a large funeral where even the mooks mourn Yogostein. Then it turns out his own father doesn't give a crap about him.
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:He was later rebuilt sometime following his misadventures in the Sanzu River and Makuu Space.]]
* BenevolentBoss: Unlike most Sentai villains and [[spoiler:his father, Yogoshimacritein]], he actually treats his subordinates rather well. In fact, he expresses utter devastation to Hiramechimedes dying and decides to honor him.
* BigBad: The ''de facto'' leader of the three Ministers and the one who usually formulates the EvilPlan.
* DeathEqualsRedemption: Unlike the two other ministers, he died before he could turn good, but his spirit does so when he reappears in Shinkengeer vs Go-Onger and Gokaiger vs. Gavan, where he has renounced villainy as well.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: [[spoiler:He gets killed about two thirds of the way through. He is later replaced by Kireizky and finally, his father, Yogoshimacritein.]]
* CharacterDeath: [[spoiler:Gets killed at the end of GP 36]]. [[BackFromTheDead He came back]] in ''Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger vs. Go-Onger'', however.
* TheDragon: [[spoiler:Yogostein was reporting to his father all along.]]
* EvenEvilHasStandards: He (along with the rest of the Gaiark) make every attempt to stop the MOTW in GP 31.
* InSeriesNickname: "Yogostein" is his nickname. His full name is Baron Yogorex de Stein.
* ALighterShadeOfBlack: Yogostein turns out to be this once [[TheSociopath his]] [[AbusiveParent father]] comes along.
* MeaningfulName: His name is derived from "''Yogosu''", meaning "Pollute".
* MissingMom: He's another example of being a Sentai villain with a known father who later appears but without any knowledge about his mother. Given what we will later learn of said father however...
* OneWingedAngel: [[spoiler:Uses Horonderthal to upgrade himself in GP 35 and 36.]]
* VerbalTic: ''"-Nari"''
* VillainousFriendship: His interactions with the other ministers have him act more like a long time friend of theirs than a boss with two employees. Even when they drop the villainous part, he still retains the friendship part.

[[folder:Earth Pollution Vice-Minister Hiramechimedes]]
!!Earth Pollution Vice-Minister Hiramechimedes | [-Voice actor: Creator/KazuyaNakai-]
Yogostein's right-hand man, who worked as Gaiark's inventor. He initially plotted to eliminate Yogostein to become its new leader, but abandoned his plot when his would-be target promoted him.
----
* AccidentalMisnaming: Ren is the only Go-onger able to remember Hiramechimedes' name correctly.
* AlasPoorVillain: Yogostein mourned this guy for days.
* BeatThemAtTheirOwnGame: Hiramechimedes concluded that intelligence is not enough to defeat the Go-Ongers, [[spoiler:so he snuck back to Hellgailes Palace and filled [[PsychoSerum a large amount of Bikkurium]] (which is enough for ''100 Barbaric Machine Beasts'') onto himself to gain more power [[SanitySlippage at the cost of what's left of his sanity]]]].
* CatchPhrase: ''"Pok-pok-ping!"''
* DeaderThanDead: [[spoiler:Gets exorcised as a ghost.]]
* {{Determinator}}: He just won't give up, [[spoiler:even after death]].
* TheDragon: As Land Pollution Vice-Minister, he is Yogostein's right hand man in their campaign to pollute Earth.
* TheDreaded: He is feared by the Engines (or at least the ones without wings) due to him besting them in every single battle when he was in Machine World. Their reencounter with him made them terrified to the point of running back into the van until their partners give them encouragement.
* EvilGenius: He's both TheStrategist and the inventor of the Gaiark.
* FourEyesZeroSoul: For some reason he wears glasses anytime he's outdoors. Either way, he's still very villainous inside out.
* IdeaBulb: Literally. He actually ''has'' a trio of lightbulbs built into his head that light up whenever he has an idea.
* InsufferableGenius: Feels disrespected whenever people don't acknowledge his brilliance.
* MeaningfulName: A combination of "''Hirameki''" = "Flash" ie. an idea, and Archimedes, tying him to his mathematics and strategy themes.
** [[spoiler:Urameshimedes is "''Urameshiya''" = literally an expression of envy, but the connotations are essentially the same as shouting "Boo!" + Archimedes.]]
* OneWingedAngel: [[spoiler:Overloads himself with PsychoSerum to overpower the Go-Ongers in GP 23]]
* OnlyMostlyDead: [[spoiler:His grudge against the Go-ongers enables him to return as a ''yurei''[[note]]vengeful spirit[[/note]], the undead Urameshimedes]]
* OverlyLongName: Hilariously, it’s even difficult to pronounce.
* TheStarscream: Originally plotted to assassinate Yogostein and take his position, but later swore loyalty to him and abandoned his plot after he offered him a position as his second-in-command.
* UndyingLoyalty: Pledged complete loyalty to Yogostein after he named him his Vice-Minister. He'll even risk his own sanity with PsychoSerum to please him.
* YesMan: To Yogostein, but he's a sincere version.

----
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:She was later rebuilt sometime following her misadventures in the Sanzu River and Makuu Space.]]
* EnemyMine:
** Teams up with the Go-onger girls during GP 31 to stop a monster from crushing Earth, though she makes it clear they will be enemies again next time.
** [[spoiler:Happens again in ''10 Years Grand Prix'' when she agreed to become "Kega Yellow" (her own version of Go-on Yellow) as part of the Go-onger's plan to drag Saki out of 001.]]
* HighPressureEmotion: When she feels frustration, she literally leaks steam.
* ImageSong: Taoyuan aka "[[AlternateCharacterReading Utopia]]"
* INeedAFreakingDrink: She is most often at the bar area mixing herself drinks.
* LightningLash: Her primary weapon, the Kegastick, can be used as a whip. She can also imbue her whip with electricity to make the attacks ''really'' hurt.
* MeaningfulName: "''Kegare''" = "Impurity"
* PaperThinDisguise: Is somehow able to successfully pass as a human despite the giant tap on her head.
* RobotGirl: She resembles a human, but is artificial like the rest of the Gaiark.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Zigzagged. A handful of episodes feature other female Bankis, but she is the only female Gaiark with a major role.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Although hardly the same level as [[Series/SeijuuSentaiGingaman Shelinda]].
* SuperPowersForADay: [[spoiler:When Saki is taken hostage by the Zontark in ''10 Years Grand Prix'', the Go-Ongers are forced to enlist Kegalesia as her temporary replacement.]]

----
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:He was later rebuilt sometime following his misadventures in the Sanzu River and Makuu Space.]]
* MeaningfulName: "''Kitanai''" = "Foul"
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Of particular note during GP 31, where he (along with his Gaiark colleagues) attempts to stop the MOTW. He gets special mention for explaining that they only want to dirty the world, not destroy it.
* OutOfFocus: In later episodes, he's appeared less times than the others.
* VerbalTic: ''"-zoyo"''

* DiscOneFinalBoss: [[spoiler: Or "Disc ''Two'' Final Boss in this case. He's only the penultimate enemy of the series the Go-Ongers must confront...]]
* FillerVillain: [[spoiler:His only important impacts on the plot are being revealed to have the ability to "clean" Braneworlds and having the Infinite Wastebin.]]
* KnightOfCerebus: [[spoiler:His arrival signals the start of when the show gets serious. Less so than Yogoshimacritein, but still much darker and formidable than the main three ministers.]]

* BadBoss: [[spoiler:In contrast to his son, Yogoshimacritein showed no care towards his minions and even fired the two remaining Pollution Ministers to hit the Go-ongers.]]
* BigBad: [[spoiler:Following the deaths of his son and Kireizky, Yogoshimacritein steps in and becomes the ultimate foe of the Go-ongers.]]
* EvilChancellor: [[spoiler:His title is "Prime Minister", implying he fills this role within the overall Gaiark hierarchy.]]
* GreaterScopeVillain: [[spoiler:Despite being the ultimate foe of the series, he remains distant from the main plot until after Kireizky's death..]]
* HateSink: He is obviously meant to be despised by everyone and to subvert the redeeming qualities his son and the other Pollution Ministers had.
* KnightOfCerebus: [[spoiler:He is ''significantly'' more serious and dangerous than the other often goofy villains in a rather lighthearted show. Even the members that were taken more seriously couldn't hold a candle to him.]]
* TheManBehindTheMan: [[spoiler:Yogostein and Kireizky were working for him all along.]]
* MultiversalConqueror: His end goal is to take over all the Braneworlds, though he's not above destroying some if it suits him.
* TheSociopath: [[spoiler:He admonishes his son as a failure after his death and treats his followers as dispensable. He truly cares for no one but himself and is highly cruel even using the last two remaining pollution ministers as human shields to defend himself.]]
* VerbalTic: [[spoiler:''"-Narina"'']]
* VileVillainSaccharineShow: [[spoiler:Well, this show is '' noticeably'' LighterAndSofter than the rest of the franchise, this isn't true of Yogoshimacritein who stands as a dark villain willing to level the human world.]]
* VilerNewVillain: In contrast to Yogostein being a BenevolentBoss with standards and some goofy moments who eventually becomes good, enter his father who is an irredeemable BadBoss who is completely serious and will do whatever he wants to rule all the remaining Braneworlds, followers and son be damned.

* NiceJobFixingItVillain: [[spoiler:Backstabbing the Gaiark Ministers after building [[TheDragon Grayzky]] is a dumb move on his part, resulting in the Go-ongers enlisting the aid of Kegalesia as part of an EnemyMine.]]
