One of the leading Fallen Houses, the Devils are primarily centered in the Cosmodrome of Old Russia. The loss of Solkis, the Devil's Kell, in the aftermath of the Battle of Twilight Gap weakened the Devils. Now they scavenge the Cosmodrome for buried secrets in an effort to gain an edge over humanity and the other houses.

[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:In General]]
* FallenHero: Lore snippets introduced in ''Season of the Plunder'' imply that the House of Devils was originally the House of Dancers, who were known for for their generosity. The tumultuous hardships of the Whirlwind caused them to become bitter and pragmatic, only offering aid to those they could not overpower. By the time they reached Earth, they were so twisted by hardship that they didn't hesitate to carry out atrocities at the Battle of London.
* {{Foil}}: To the House of Wolves - both are antagonistic groups of Fallen who act as the {{Arc Villain}}s of ''Destiny'''s DLC - the Wolves for ''House of Wolves'' and the Devils for ''Rise of Iron''. Both were also involved in the Battle of the Twilight Gap, making them some of the more personal enemies of the Last City. That is where the similarities end, though - the House of Devils have red armor while the Wolves have shades of blue, [[RedOniBlueOni and have the temperaments to match]]. The Devils and Wolves both lost their Kell’s, but while the Devils still haven't obtained a new Kell by the time the Young Wolf rises, Stolas eventually takes the mantle of Kell of Wolves. Additionally, the House of Wolves only has a token few appearances in ''Destiny'' until their DLC, while the House of Devils are the primary Fallen force in the Cosmodrome. Lastly, the House of Wolves is totally destroyed in ''Destiny 2'' after the Scorn destroy all of their servitors, while the Devils manage to survive long enough to fold into the House of Dusk, with one of their number eventually becoming the founder of the House of Salvation.
* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: The events surrounding them in the first ''Destiny'' hit the House of Devils ''hard''. Going from one of the most infamous Houses the Last City and the Guardians ever had to deal with, to being virtually nonexistent by the time of the Red War with many of its surviving members joining the House of Dusk and later on, House of Salvation.
* RedIsViolent: Their main colors are red and white, and they are one of the most aggressive Fallen Houses.
* TheUsualAdversaries: The House of Devils tends to be the default faction of Fallen the player will face -- besides being the first enemies fought on Earth, they are also the ones to release SIVA. Even after the House is dispensed in the sequel, their presence is still felt -- Eramis, the ArcVillain of "Beyond Light", was one of them.

[[folder:Riksis]]
!!Riksis, Devil Archon
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/riksis_archon.jpg]]

The Archon of the House of Devils, and the first boss the player encounters.
----
* BadassPreacher: As an Archon, he kicks copious amounts of ass.
* BattleTrophy: He is noted to collect the skulls of dead Guardians, but whether he keeps them for himself or presents them to a Prime is unknown.
* KingMook: A super Captain, and twice ''your'' size.
* MinorMajorCharacter: As the Archon of the Devils, he plays a critical role in the leadership and functioning of the House, but is eliminated by a recently rezzed Guardian who was still trying to understand their situation.
* WarmUpBoss: The first proper boss the player faces.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Sepiks Prime]]
!!Sepiks Prime / Sepiks Perfected
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sepkis_prime.jpg]]
->''"I never believed a machine could know hatred."''

The boss of the Devil's Lair Strike, the exalted Servitor of the Fallen House of Devils, a crucial strategic target to break the will of the Fallen who most directly threaten the City. After the House of Devils discover SIVA, Sepiks is returned to life and leads the Devils in assaulting Felweinter's Peak.
----
* ArtifactMook: Artifact boss, but Sepiks Prime is one of two bosses backported into ''Destiny 2'' when the Cosmodrome was added as a patrol zone. His raid, The Devils' Lair, is almost a carbon copy of its original version, barring all fallen opponents now being members of the House of Dusk and the addition of Brigs and new shank variants to the roster.
* AutobotsRockOut: Its reprised form in ''Destiny 2'' features a rock version of its theme from the original.
* BackFromTheDead: The House of Devils use SIVA to return Sepiks Prime to life and stronger than before as Sepiks Perfected.
* BarrierWarrior: Becomes this as Sepiks Perfected, as periodically through the fight, it gains an elemental shield that can only be damaged by a scorch cannon of the matching element.
* FlunkyBoss: Not as bad as the other bosses in the game, as it only summons them in a small wave, being usually 5-7 enemies at once, with the waves having long pauses in between.
* KeystoneArmy: The keystone for the House of Devils, as it manages their entire supply of life-giving Ether.
* KingMook: A gigantic and extremely durable version of the normal Sevitors. Compared to other Servitors, it can do a powerful drain that can quickly kill a Guardian, and shoots bigger and more damaging versions of a regular Servitor's Void Cannon.
* SinisterGeometry: Like all Servitors, Sepiks Prime is an enormous black sphere covered in purple lightning. Unlike most Servitors, it is ''extremely'' powerful. And spiky.

!!S.A.B.E.R.-2
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fallen_saber.jpg]]

A Shank modified to be able to crack the Warmind Rasputin's defenses and the boss of the "Fallen S.A.B.E.R." Strike.
----
* BadassAutomaton: Let us repeat: this is a machine that can bypass Rasputin's network and make the entire bunker its playground.
* KingMook: It's a gigantic Shank. [[LethalJokeCharacter Yes, you read that right.]]
* {{Pun}}: A shank is a sort of makeshift knife. Naturally, their super-sized, armed-to-the-teeth cousin is named after a big sword.
* SuperPrototype: Multiple Heavy Shanks have appeared in Destiny and its sequel, including S.A.B.E.R.-6, but none of them have been as powerful.
* TransformingMecha: At several health thresholds, the boss changes its configuration, starting out with a Solar cannon akin to a Vandal wire rifle, then alternating between it and two more modes; a Void-based chassis with dual miniguns and an Arc-based close-range taser.
* WeakButSkilled: The S.A.B.E.R.-2 by itself is fairly average as far as bosses go, its health dropping easily from high-end content weapons and possessing few powerful weapons despite multiple configurations. However, on top of summoning multiple flunkies to hinder you, it abuses the hell out of the boss arena, setting out multiple lightning traps.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Iliksis]]
!!Iliksis, Light Stalker

A Devils captain who leads an assault on Bannerfall in an attempt to breach the walls of the Last City.
----
* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere: His sudden appearance turns a peaceful investigation mission into an extremely difficult fight that threatens the safety of the Last City. There were no mentions of him or his forces in any missions or lore prior to his assault, making his appearance completely unexpected.
* KingMook: He is a giant Fallen Captain, and is easily one of the largest enemies in the game.

[[folder:Kethiks]]
!!Kethiks, the Yet-Proven

A Devils Captain with a close connection to Commander Zavala, as we learn during ''Season of the Haunted''. [[spoiler: During the Dark Age, when Zavala all but gave up his Light to be with his Lightless wife Safiyah and adopted son Hakim, Kethiks tracked him down to kill him. Hakim tried to fight him, and was killed.]]
----
* ArcVillain: Kethiks, or rather a Nightmare of him, is this for Zavala's Sever missions during ''Season of the Haunted.''
* FlunkyBoss: Kethiks' Nightmare will keep summoning Fallen to the fight, especially when shielding himself.
* GlorySeeker: He seeks to kill Zavala in order to make a name for himself amongst the Devils, as Zavala has gained a reputation as a fierce Lightbearer who had killed many Fallen.
* ItsPersonal: Another reason he went after Zavala is because he had lost many friends, including his predecessor as Captain, to him. It quickly becomes flipped the other way and the reason the Nightmare of Kethiks is conjured is because he [[spoiler:murdered Zavala's son in his own quest for revenge and glory]]. His sobriquet [[spoiler:"Grief Unforgiven"]] even speaks to why he's haunting Zavala.
* JustToyingWithThem: His fight with [[spoiler:Hakim]], which Kethiks keeps going with a few half-hearted thrusts that still throws his opponent off their footing before ending it with his spear.
* KilledMidSentence: Implied from the Hollow Denial lore tab, which had him turning to face Zavala only for the entry to abruptly cut off.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: His story and background are only one part of the ''Season of the Haunted'' story arc, but Kethiks' actions are why Zavala returned to the path of a Guardian and eventually rose to become Vanguard Commander.
* YouAreInCommandNow: He became the captain of his crew after the previous one was killed in battle by Zavala, with Kethiks first task as Captain being to settle the death debt owed to Zavala for his transgressions against the Devils.

!!The Devil Splicers
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/grimoire_devil_splicers.jpg]]

The Devil Splicers are Fallen Splicers of the House of Devils who uncovered SIVA and began using it to augment their bodies.
----
* BodyHorror: Most of their forces sport [[ArtificialLimbs cobbled-together prosthetics]]. The Dregs in particular now walk on peg legs instead of their normal legs, and what appears to be a Kell is almost completely mechanical.
* BulletProofVest: Splicer Vandals wear a helmet that renders them resistant headshots. To score critical hits, you have to aim for the throat instead.
* DeusEstMachina: While the Fallen were already known for their worship of technology, the Devil Splicers take it further with their use of SIVA, allowing them to become the machine gods they so worship, with no regard to how much it changes them.
* GodhoodSeeker: The discovery of SIVA caused an ideological split among the House of Devils Splicers. While the more traditional Splicers saw SIVA as another technology to be worshipped, a radical faction, lead by Aksis, thought that SIVA was a means to become "machine-gods". Eventually, Aksis' Devil Splicers won the split and not only took over the Splicers, but took over the leadership of the House of Devils itself.
* NinjaPirateRobotZombie: Mutant Cyborg Space Pirates, to be exact.
* MadScientist: Described as "body hackers and bioengineers who fuse metal and flesh". And with how they willingly apply prosthetics onto themselves, it's clear they're incredibly fanatical, even for the Fallen.
* MoreDakka: Unlike their less insane brothers, Devil Splicers favor sheer volume of fire over accuracy. Their Shock Rifles trade away homing rounds for faster automatic fire, Shock Pistols move in a zigzag pattern, Wire Rifles fire in bursts, and Servitors go for a full-on onslaught of erratic crimson plasma. Anymore, and they'll quickly turn Destiny in to the FPS equivalent of a BulletHell game.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Though their clothes are white, their armor and fur extensions are black and crimson respectively.
* TakingYouWithMe: Nearly all Splicers killed via headshot have a chance to release a cloud of SIVA drones that'll seek you out, similar to a Taken Centurion's Axion Dart.
* TurnsRed: Vandals who take a beating will gain a "berserk" state similar to Hive Knights, recovering some health and charging you with melee.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Aksis]]
!!Aksis, Archon Prime
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aksis.jpg]]

Once a disgraced Splicer, Aksis is the leader of the radical faction of the Devil Splicers and has proclaimed himself Archon of the House of Devils. Having fused himself with SIVA, he is now more machine than Eliksni.
----
* ArcVillain: He's the ones pulling the Devil Splicers strings from the shadows, causing them to stir trouble in the Plaguelands during ''Rise of Iron''. Unlike Oryx and Skolas, he doesn't appear in the expansion's main story (indeed, he doesn't even get mentioned until after you beat it), and you get to off him in a climactic raid that ends the expansion's story.
* AscendToAHigherPlaneOfExistence: The Grimoire compares his SIVA-ification as something of an uplifted state, being the greatest result of the Devil Splicers' research.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: By the events of ''Rise of Iron'', Aksis rallied most of the House of Devils under his command in order to further the researches on SIVA technology, and ends up transforming himself into the single most powerful Fallen in the present setting with the help of SIVA.
* BattleThemeMusic: Aksis's second and final encounter uses parts of "Eyes Up", [[MickeyMousing swapping themes depending on the phase of the fight]]. It's a grand orchestral piece not unlike Oryx, which in turn ups the epicness of the encounter.
* DamageSpongeBoss: Sports well over 10 million HP, though the boss fight provides you with a variety of tools to deal considerable damage to him (elemental cannons and the opportunity to recharge your super abilities instantly come to mind).
* DeathOrGloryAttack: Once he drops to 10% of his health, he'll teleport back to his default position and try to cause a TotalPartyWipe on you by blowing himself up.
* FinalBoss: All expansions considered [[note]]"The Dark Below", "House of Wolves", "The Taken King" and "Rise of Iron"[[/note]], Aksis is the last antagonist fought in ''VideoGame/{{Destiny}}'', and is found at the end of the "Wrath of the Machine" raid; the final raid introduced in the game. [[note]]The Age of Triumph 2017 Spring update revamps the previous expansions' raids, but the "Wrath of the Machine" is still chronologically the last one.[[/note]]
* FromNobodyToNightmare: Originally a disgraced Splicer in the House of Devils, he managed to lead a radical faction to overtake not only the Splicers, but the entire House of Devils.
* HighPriest: As Archon, he's the leader of the House of Devils priesthood.
* MageMarksman: The Magic Gunman variety, as Aksis wields a massive SIVA-fueled cannon to bombard enemy Guardians with, while also being able to oversaturate the SIVA in his boss area, creating a large explosion that causes a TotalPartyWipe unless standing on a safe platform. He executes the latter technique by holding his hand in the air, reminiscent of a magic incantation.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: While he is the leader of the Fallen faction that provokes the SIVA crisis seen in ''Rise of Iron'', Aksis stays put in the deepest reaches of the Plaguelands, awaiting for offerings from other Fallen like the machine god he's become.
* PuzzleBoss: Much like the other raid bosses, Aksis is not easily dispatched like Strike bosses, and needs a considerable amount of coordination to beat. Disabling his invincibility barrier to directly damage him is only possible by throwing bombs that are dropped by Servitors that are vulnerable to a given elemental cannon, which are in turn carried by Splicer Captains that will mercilessly bombard you with them. Making Aksis vulnerable is one thing, but then you have to pin him down as he tries to teleport around to recover his barrier. That, and the ability to stun him is given randomly to your fireteam, ensuring that everyone needs to pull their weight in the fight.
* SpiderLimbs: Rather than regular legs like most Splicers, Aksis connects his upper body to massive spider legs which he walks around on.
* TeleportSpam: During the beginning of his final phase, he blinks from one side of the area to another, before returning to the centre, all while bombarding Guardians with his cannon and SIVA swarms. As soon as his barrier gets damaged by SIVA charges, he will try to teleport around the four corners of the boss arena, and will need to be stunned to prevent him from releasing SIVA mites which cause a TotalPartyWipe.

[[folder:Vosik]]
!!Vosik, the Archpriest
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vosik.jpg]]

Aksis' lieutenant, and the first boss of the Wrath of the Machine raid.
----
* ArmCannon: Taking a cue from Taniks, one of Vosik's arms has been replaced with a Scorch Cannon.
* TheDragon: Explicitly referred to as "Aksis' second-in-command" in his Grimoire card.
* DynamicEntry: He starts attacking you as early as the ''very beginning'' of the raid, even before officially entering the Splicers' lair. He can also kill you if you so much stand on the spot he spawns in both encounters.
* PuzzleBoss: Both of his encounters qualify.
** The very beginning of the raid requires your fireteam to charge up three foundries that will eventually produce SIVA charges to throw at Vosik and deplete his shield, rendering him vulnerable to damage until he flees from the battlefield.
** The second encounter plays similar to the first one, except you will need to throw SIVA charges simultaneously to maximize damage on his shield, and shoot at one TV panel to avoid a TotalPartyWipe.
* SinisterMinister: As a Splicer, his job is a combination of priest and scientist.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Kovik]]
!!Kovik, Splicer Priest
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kovik.jpg]]

A Splicer high priest responsible for much of the Devil Splicers' [=SIVA=] upgrades. Now he is collecting Hive specimens for even more nefarious purposes.
----
* BeamSpam: As a result of his experiments, his weapon is now a full-on beam cannon that's powerful enough to melt players in seconds even without an elemental damage modifier.
* EyeScream: [[spoiler: Has ripped out an ogre's eye and is using it as a weapon.]]
* FlunkyBoss: A special case, in that he's accompanied by the ogre he's been experimenting on. Throughout the fight, it'll try to encroach upon your team and smash them. Oh, and [[NighInvulnerability it's invincible to all damage]], so the best you can do is just keep its attention while your team handles Kovik.
* MadScientist: Par for the course for a Splicer, but Shiro-4 notes that even for them Kovik is an extreme lunatic due to his experiments on the Hive with [=SIVA=].
* SinisterMinister: As a Splicer, he is a combination of priest and scientist. It was his research and teachings that led the Devil Splicers into upgrading themselves with [=SIVA=].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Meksis]]
!!Meksis, Siege Engineer

A Splicer Captain overseeing the Siege Engine in Wrath of the Machine.
----
* BossInMookClothing: A regular Splicer Captain.
* TheEngineer: If his title of "Siege Engineer" didn't already tell you.
