[[folder:Boba Fett VS Samus Aran (2010)]]

* BountyHunter: Samus and Fett are bounty hunters by trade and are very good at their jobs.
* PoweredArmor:
** Fett's Mandalorian armor is made of indestructable Duraplast and contains a micro-energy field for dispersing impacts and a number of other weapons.
** Samus's Power Suit is a suit of advanced armor designed and given to Samus by the Chozo. It also comes with an ArmCannon that can fire different types of beams.
!![[Franchise/StarWars Boba Fett]]
--->'''Darth Vader''': ''"No disintegrations."''\
'''Boba Fett''': ''"As you wish."''\
\
''The Most Feared Bounty Hunter in The Galaxy''

* BackpackCannon: His iconic Mitrinomon Z-6 Jetpack, complete with an anti-vehicle homing rocket... that has a 1/4 chance of hitting human-sized targets.
* BountyHunter: He's known for killing criminals and politicians alike. At the start of the battle, he attacks Samus' ship, presumably for this reason.
* CompanionCube: He cradles his EE-3 Carbine Rifle like it's his baby.
* CoolStarship: The Slave I, which he uses to blast Samus out of space.
* ChildProdigy: Even as a kid, he was a capable bounty hunter. When Fett was 12 years old, he even battled Mace Windu to a draw.
* EpicFail: Wizard outright states Boba Fett's biggest flaw is that, every so often, he will ''totally '''blow it'''''; Noting that he's fallen into the Sarlacc Pit ''[[{{RuleOfThree}} three times]]''.
-->'''Boomstick''': Three Times! How do you even do that ''once''? It's a '''giant hole''' in the ground with '''''teeth'''''! And he's got a jetpack!
* FireBreathingWeapon: He wields a flamethrower in his gauntlets, which Samus accidentally jumps into at the beginning of the fight.
* HumanPopsicle: Gets frozen by Samus's Ice Beam leaving him helpless against her finishing him off.
* JetPack: His Mitrinomon Z-6 Jetpack. It also contains an anti-vehicle homing rocket. He uses it to flee Samus in the fight, but her Screw Attack ability brings him back down to Earth.
* {{Leitmotif}}: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rXr2aFOvA4vThe ''Death Star - The Stormstoopers'']] plays during his analysis.
* PoweredArmor: His Mandalorian armor is extremely durable, made of Duraplast that could resist a bomb blowing up in his face. It isn't invincible, however, and one of Samus's Power Bombs sets her up to finish him off.
* SwissArmyWeapon: His Wrist Gauntlets contain tools such as a flamethrower, a Fibercord Whip, and missiles.
* OffWithHisHead: His head gets blasted clean off by a fully charged attack, courtesy of Samus.
* WalkingArmory: He has a lot of tools to help him get the job done.
* WouldHitAGirl: With blasters and rockets, etc.

--->'''Samus Aran''': ''"Time to go."''\
\
''So Badass, Whole Planets Explode When She's Done with Them''

* ArmCannon: This is her primary and iconic weapon. With it, Samus can shoot a variety of missiles and laser beams.
* BagOfSpilling: The hosts note that her biggest flaw is her inability to hold onto power-ups between missions.
* BeTheBall: Morph Ball makes her temporarily invulnerable and faster than normal.
* BioAugmentation: Her Chozo DNA increased her athletic capabilities.
* BountyHunter: She was on her way somewhere when she was attacked by Boba Fett.
* CoolStarship: She has her personal Starship to fly around in her games. At the beginning of the battle, it gets shot down by Fett's Slave I.
* KillItWithIce: With her Ice Beam. She uses it to finish off Fett.
* LEGOGenetics: Infused with Chozo DNA / "Bird DNA".
* {{Leitmotif}}: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pogkiSPJPX4 ''Lower Norfair (Ridley's Lair)'']] plays during her analysis.
* NotQuiteFlight: She can pretty much soar through the air with her Screw Attack.
* PoweredArmor: Her iconic Power Suit protects her from the environment of foreign planets, but it's also unrestrictive and allows her to move freely.
* PreMortemOneLiner: ''"You're mine."''
* SamusIsAGirl: Boomstick notes her armor makes her look like a guy.
* SphereOfDestruction: The aftermath of her Power Bombs destroy everything on-screen.
* StarterEquipment: The Power Beam she starts with is weak compared to her other weapons. She starts off the fight by shooting a Power Beam at Fett, but his rifle phases through it easily.
* SuperSpeed: Because of said Chozo DNA.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Akuma VS Shang Tsung]]

* FinalBoss: Shang Tsung was the final boss in the first ''Mortal Kombat'' game. Akuma was the final boss of Evil Ryu's storyline in ''Street Fighter Alpha 3''.
* WarriorVersusSorcerer: Akuma uses his brute strength and martial arts skills against Shang Tsung's powerful magic and shapeshifting abilities.

!![[Franchise/StreetFighter Akuma]]
--->'''Akuma''': ''"I am Akuma, and I will teach you the meaning of pain."''\
\
''The Ultimate Badass of Martial Arts''

* BadassBoast: "I am Akuma, and I will teach you the meaning of '''pain.'''"
* BloodKnight: He calls off an attack when Shang Tsung displays his shapeshifting ability because of this; he wants to see if the new form will put up a better fight.
* ChallengeSeeker: Fighting is all he lives for and travels the world day and night searching for worthy opponents.
* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: The Shun Goku Satsu, which, as Shang Tsung can tell you, is fatal to the opponent if Akuma uses its full power.
* DealWithTheDevil: In a non-canon source, Akuma sold his soul to a demon to defeat Gouken in battle.
* DubNameChange: In Japan, his name is Gouki.
* GlassCannon: He takes far fewer hits, but deals a world of hurt on Shang.
* GroundPunch: The Kongou Kokuretsu Zan, which he used to ''shatter a mountain just by punching it.''
* INeedYouStronger: What makes him an antagonistic force in ''Street Fighter'' is how he tries to make Ryu be overcome with the Satsui no Hadou. It makes the user bloodlusted and gives them a desire to fight worthy opponents to the death.
* KamehameHadouken: Uses the later part of the TropeNamer and some variants.
* {{Leitmotif}}: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5c4GdP2PUw ''Old Temple'']] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2f7qY8c_Rfg ''Volcanic Rim (Orchestral Version)'']] play during his analysis.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: His glowing, red eyes show just how dangerous and bloodlusted he can be.
* SiblingMurder: At first, it was stated that he killed his brother Gouken in a battle to the death. Later games retconned this, as mentioned in Ryu vs Scorpion.
* {{Shotoclone}}: One of the first, and started the overpowered Akuma trend. As such, he knows the {{Shoryuken}} and [[HurricaneKick Tatsumaki Zankukyaku]].
* TeleportSpam: His Ashura Senku acts like this, allowing him to dodge attacks.

!![[Franchise/MortalKombat Shang Tsung]]
--->'''Shang Tsung''': ''"You... will... die!"''\
\
''The Sorcerous Vanguard of Doom''

* CoolSword: His Straight Sword, though he prefers fists and magic over it.
* DittoFighter: Tsung can transform into different fighters, gaining their movesets. He transforms into Scorpion and Akuma in the fight.
* TheDragon: What makes him a central Antagonist in the Mortal Kombat series is that he's the right-hand man of the BigBad, Shao Kahn.
* EnergyAbsorption: He can heal when taking his opponent's souls. He heals a bit while absorbing Akuma's soul in the fight
* FlamingSkulls: He uses them as a projectile attack. They're even named "Flaming Skulls."
* KungFuWizard: He relies on magic, but isn't helpless in a fistfight either.
* {{Leitmotif}}: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILCwpyORUW8&list=PLC0B0D74294479B37&index=41 ''The Temple (Classic)'']] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nYgu35Qcto&index=39&list=PLC0B0D74294479B37 ''The Soul Chamber (Classic)'']] play during his analysis.
* MirrorMatch: After absorbing a portion of Akuma's soul, Shang Tsung gains the ability to transform into Akuma himself, resulting in this trope as the final scene of their battle.
* NumberTwo: Tsung is Shao Kahn's right-hand man, but he's not exactly [[TheStarscream loyal]].
* PlayingWithFire: Flaming skulls that he pulls out of HammerSpace, and he creates a portal of flames when using Hot Escape.
* PreAsskickingOneLiner: "You... will... '''die!'''"
* PrepareToDie: The aforementioned PreAssKickingOneLiner.
* PunctuatedForEmphasis: The aforementioned PreAssKickingOneLiner.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: He's over 1000 years old.
* {{Unishment}}: Lampshaded by Boomstick that his punishment from the Elder Gods that forced him to devour souls to avoid rapidly ageing allowed him to use it to stay alive for hundreds of years, so it really became his greatest strength.
-->'''Boomstick''': Some punishment, Elder Gods.
* VoluntaryShapeShifter: To other Mortal Kombat fighters and ultimately Akuma himself.
* TeleportSpam: With Hot Escape.
* YourSoulIsMine: Said exactly in the preview for this episode. He tries to steal Akuma's soul after grabbing him, but he beaks the sorcerer's grasp on him.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Rogue VS Wonder Woman]]
* FlyingBrick:
** Wonder Woman possesses superhuman strength, speed, durability and flight courtesy of the Greek gods.
** Rogue's flying brick powers are a result of her absorbing the powers from Carol Danvers.
* MsFanservice:
** Wonder Woman wears a very revealing outfit and has a buxom figure.
** Rogue's outfit shows much less skin than Diana's but it doesn't disguise her curves at all.
!![[Franchise/MarvelUniverse Rogue (Anna Marie LaBeau)]]
--->'''Rogue''': ''"Ain't that enough?"''\
\
''Anna Marie, the Rogue''

* FlyingBrick: She became this thanks to a special drain on Ms. Marvel. It's not her original superpower. She couldn't take on Wonder Woman in a fight but was durable enough to last until WW touches her face. Once that happened, she was a match for Wondy without and was ultimately able to take her down.
* IdiotBall: Wiz and Boomstick note that despite having a seventh sense, she lost a few fights in the X-Men cartoon for plot convince.
* KissOfDeath: She's shown giving one to [[Franchise/StreetFighter Cammy]] in the introductory sequence. In the actual Death Battle, this is how she wins.
* {{Leitmotif}}: Her analysis themes are ''The X-Jet'' and ''X-Men Original Theme - Hard Rock Remix''.
* MsFanservice: Her costume's pretty skin tight, and Boomstick doesn't hesitate to perv on her.
* NighInvulnerability: As a result of absorbing Ms. Marvel's superpowers.
* PowerCopying: The only superpower that can she can call her own. Wonder Woman was cleaning her clock until Rogue copied her powers and skills.
* PowerHigh: This can sometimes be an unseen side effect of when she copies powers. Wizard specifically brings up an instance in ''X-Men Legacy''.
* SouthernBelle: Described as this by Boomstick.
* SpiderSense: Her seventh sense. Not as strong as Spidey's but good enough to outmaneuver Wonder Woman to finish her.
* SuperSpeed: She obtained this from holding onto Ms. Marvel for an extended period of time.
* SuperStrength: She also got this power from Ms. Marvel. In the fight, her contact with Wonder Woman adds Diana's herculean strength.
* TouchOfDeath: If she holds on to someone too long.

!![[Franchise/TheDCU Wonder Woman (Princess Diana of Themyscira)]]
--->'''Wonder Woman''': ''"Let's see you smile now."''\
\
''Diana Prince, the Wonder Woman''

* ArtificialFamilyMember: Wonder Woman wasn't born, but rather crafted from clay by the Goddess Hippolyta.
* AttackItsWeakPoint: This works ''against'' her, thus making this an {{inverted}} trope. Wondy has been trained to strike the weak points of the human body, including the face, which is the only part of Rogue that isn't covered up. This results in Rogue absorbing some of Wonder Woman's power and stunning her for a moment, giving Rogue more time to absorb even more of her power.
* CoolCrown: Her tiara, which is sharp enough to be used as a weapon.
* CoolPlane: Even though she can fly, she drops in on Rogue on her Invisible Plane.
* CurbStompBattle: She walked all over Rogue; the X-Woman didn't have a chance to fight back. This changes in the second half of the battle when she hits Rogue's face. This allows Rogue to absorb her powers and even the odds.
* FlyingBrick: Unlike Rogue, her strength, flight and durability are gifts from gods.
* {{Leitmotif}}: Her analysis themes are the Ending Theme from WesternAnimation/WonderWoman2009 and the Main Theme from WesternAnimation/JusticeLeague.
* KnowsTheRopes: Her main weapon of choice is the Lasso of [[LivingLieDetector Truth]].
* MadeOfIndestructium: Both her Lasso of Truth and Bracelets of Submission are indestructible.
* {{Stripperific}}: Her iconic outfit, which Boomstick wastes no time in noting. It's a deciding factor in the fight. She attacks with bare fists so it was only a matter of time before she hit Rogue's bare skin and mistakenly gives her some of her power. The costume also gives Rogue no shortage of skin to grab.
* SuperSpeed: Hermes granted her the power to move at hypersonic speeds. She uses it frequently to catch Rogue off guard in the battle.
* SuperStrength: Gifted to her by Demeter.
* TrainingFromHell: Trained from childhood to be the best of the Amazons.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Goomba VS Koopa]]
* TheGoomba: The two most iconic examples in video games, with one being the TropeNamer.
* GrowingWings: Both become their Para forms during the fight.

!![[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Goomba]]
--->'''Boomstick''': ''"Goombas are fuckin' morons."''\
\
''A Walking Brown Mushroom with Fangs''

* AirborneMook: As a Para-Goomba.
* CuteLittleFangs: Which as pointed are purely cosmetic.
* CollisionDamage: Their main method of attack.
* TheDogBitesBack: They betrayed their homeland, the Mushroom Kingdom, after being oppressed due to their lack of intellect and small build.
* DumbMuscle: Has a one-track mind towards offense. This gets him killed because he doesn't see where the Koopa is actually going.
* FearlessFool: They don't back down from a fight, which can lead to their downfall. Many a Goomba has carelessly fallen into a bottomless pit, and the Goomba in this fight suffers the same fate.
* {{Flight}}: ''Barely'' sustained flight as a Paragoomba.
* GoombaStomp: Can use its own version using the Goomba's Shoe.
* GrowingWings: To become paragoomba.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He tries to knock Koopa into a lava pit. However the gap was too small, so the Koopa shell passes over it, bounces off a block, and bowls the Goombas into lava.
* {{Leitmotif}}: "Melty Molten Galaxy" from ''VideoGame/SuperMarioGalaxy''.
* {{Mooks}}: The backbone of Bowser's army.
* MiniMook: Drops annoying little Micro-Goombas while airborne.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Fell in lava, likely fulfilling this trope.
* PsychicPowers: For some reason, he can play baseball despite not having any hands.
* ShrunkenOrgan: According to Wiz, their brains are smaller than an acorn.
* TooDumbToLive: Sees a shell coming and doesn't move out of the way.

!![[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Koopa Troopa]]
--->'''Wizard''': ''"The Koopas are cowards, afraid to face a dangerous foe."''\
\
''That Stupid Turtle Who Always Gets Himself Killed''

* CollisionDamage: Like Goombas, walking towards their enemies is their typical strategy.
* DirtyCoward / LovableCoward: Depending on your point of view. Not coming out when he can gets him tossed into lava.
* {{Flight}}: The Parakoopa's wings create sustained flight, in contrast to the Paragoomba. However, one stomp is all that's needed to clip their wings.
* GrowingWings: To become Parakoopa.
* {{Mooks}}: They are enough of these guys in Bowser's army for him to name the whole thing after them.
* {{Leitmotif}}: "Castle Theme" from ''VideoGame/NewSuperMarioBrosWii''.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Fell in lava, but after a moment emerges out of it, now as a Dry Bones... who then sinks back into the lava.
* SuperToughness: Its Shell can withstand 200 pounds of pressure can destroy almost anything in its way, lava being a major exception.
* TooDumbToLive: He doesn't come out of his shell and falls into lava.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Haggar VS Zangief]]
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: Both are pro-wrestlers, (formerly in Haggar's case) after all.
* WrestlerOfBeasts: Both have preformed wrestling moves on animals before, sharks for Haggar and bears for Zangief.

--->'''Announcer''': ''"Mike Haggar; the candidate who puts people first."''\
\
''The Mayor-Elect of Whoopass''

* RankScalesWithAsskicking: He's the mayor of Metro City and beats down on criminals.
* {{Ambadassador}}: His solution to clean up the crime in Metro City? Beat the crap out of every gang member in the city.
* AnimalNemesis: Sharks. To be specific he trains by piledriving bull sharks.
* AuthorAppeal: Wiz and Boomstick ''LOVE'' this guy, Unfortunately for them, he still dies.
* BadassInANiceSuit: He is seen in one at the beginning of the fight. Before he fights, he rips it off.
* BoisterousBruiser: In the old days, he was a pro-wrestler
* BraveScot: He's of Scottish ancestry and proud of it.
* CharlesAtlasSuperpower: The man pile-drives five hundred pound bull sharks for training.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Mike Haggar'' from VideoGame/SaturdayNightSlamMasters.
* PipePain: His preferred weapon of choice is his trusty lead pipe.
* RetiredBadass: Haggar was still a badass as a mayor, but he had to focus more on politics when his pro-wrestler days were over. This is a major point as to why Zangief beat him.
* TheRival: While he and Zangief never met in person[[labelnote:*]]As of their Death Battle debut[[/labelnote]], their movesets are noted to be similar, with both wrestlers having "stolen" a grapple from the other.
* SpinAttack: He spins around his arms wide with his Spinning Clothesline Lariat. Since he created the technique, it's stronger than Zangief's copy.
* SpinningPiledriver: After Zangief borrowed his lariat, Haggar took his piledriver as his own.
* TestosteronePoisoning: Pretty much manliness personified.
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: He's the page image, and almost all of his attacks he uses on Zangief are wrestling moves. This is fitting since he is a former wrestler.

!![[Franchise/StreetFighter Zangief]]
--->'''Zangief''': ''"Me, Zangief, broke you!"''\
\
''Russia's Red Cyclone''

* AnimalNemesis: Bears are to Zangief as sharks are to Haggar. His favorite training exercise is to wrestle them. Wiz speculates that he actually wrestles Ussuri Brown Bears, which are ''twice the size of Grizzly Bears.''
* BoisterousBruiser: A 7-foot tall wrestler who specializes in Sambo.
* CarpetOfVirility: Not only on his chest but also his shins!
* CharlesAtlasSuperpower: Wrestles ton-and-a-half bears for a hobby. One reason for his victory; pile driving bears that are at least three times as heavy as a bull shark indicates he's much stronger than Haggar.
* CoveredWithScars: From years of wrestling bears.
* DumbMuscle: Not the smartest guy around, but a total threat to anyone who stands in his way.
* DestinationDefenestration: Hurls both Haggar ''and'' himself out a window of a several-story building, transitioning to the final scene of their fight.
* HuskyRusskie: Zangief is a magnificently swole Russian wrestler, and he ultimately proves to be stronger than Haggar.
* KiManipulation: Those projectiles the other Street Fighters have are a major headache for 'Gief, so he created the Banishing Flat. He channels his ki into his hand to smack his foes, or use his ki-powered hand to dissolve projectiles.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Street Fighter 2 Zangief Theme (Atomic Fusion remix)''
* PatrioticFervor: Fights solely for his country of Russia, never for himself.
* SpinAttack: Gets in closed with a move he borrowed from Haggar, the Double Lariat.
* SpinningPiledriver: His signature move is the Spinning "Screw" Piledriver, which he taught himself when he was caught in a cyclone while piledriving a bear.
* TestosteronePoisoning: Just as manly as Haggar.
* TrouserSpace: Grabs (and downs) a beer from his trunks before the fight.
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: Sambo, his fighting style, is a combination of both wrestling and martial arts.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Battle Royale]]
!![[Franchise/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael]]
--->'''Leonardo''': ''"Quit clowning, you guys. This is serious!"''\
'''Donatello''': ''"Eh, I'm making this up as I go!"''\
'''Michelangelo''': ''"Ho-ho, someone's cranky!"''\
'''Raphael''': ''"Damn!"''

* AnArmAndALeg: Michelangelo gets his arm sliced off by Leonardo right before losing his head.
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: Mikey isn't as disciplined as his brothers and likes to spend his time goofing off. This earns him Wizard's disdain.
* AwesomeYetImpractical: Wiz notes that, as cool as the nunchucks look, one would get the same effect from a [[BatterUp baseball bat]] but with much less trouble.
* AxCrazy: Raphael is by far the most aggressive and short-tempered of the team. Boomstick classifies him as "borderline psycho". He also unleashes an overkill on Donatello. This is the most vicious kill delivered in the fight.
* BadassFamily: Their greatest strength is their family unity. The point of this battle is to determine which of them is the best individually.
* BadassBookworm: Donatello. He kicks Raphael's ass and holds his own against Leonardo. Then it's revealed the entire fight was a BatmanGambit by Leonardo.
* BatmanGambit: Unlike other Death Battles, Leonardo goes into battle knowing all his opponent's skills and weaknesses. He goes after Michelangelo knowing that with his lack of discipline and blunt weapons he won't be able to do much, and in the meantime Donatello wears Raphael down with the superior range of his weapon. By the time Leonardo fights Raphael, whose weapons counter Leo's, the latter is in far worse shape which gives Leonardo the edge in their final conflict.
* BigBrotherBully: Raphael can be this at his worst, getting into conflicts with his younger brothers. During the battle, he overkills Donatello.
* BloodKnight: Raphael is always eager for a fight.
* ButtMonkey: Michelangelo isn't viewed fondly by either host. Wiz in particular calls him 'the retard of the group' and questions why he was given the pair of nunchaku, which would take the most training to master; Boomstick assumes that he's on drugs ("Strange eating habits, inability to pay attention, incoherent phrases..."). They also hope that he doesn't win. Leo goes for him as soon as the fight starts and Michelangelo only lasts about 11 seconds.
* TheChessmaster: Leonardo planed out his victory before the fight started.
* CompositeCharacter: The Turtles are based on their appearances from the 1987 and 2003 cartoon series, and 90's and 2007 movies.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: In the 2003 series, Leonardo was the one who killed the Necro Monster, an {{Expy}} of Cthulhu.
* GadgeteerGenius: Donatello is noted to spend less time training than his brothers because of the time he spends tinkering with machines. Wiz is amazed and suspicious that he became so skilled without formal education or a budget.
* HairTriggerTemper: Raph is described as, "borderline psychotic" by Boomstick and easily given to losing control of his rage.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice:
** Donatello gets stabbed to death by Raphael's Sais, [[NoKillLikeOverkill repeatedly... 24 times to be exact.]]
** Raphael himself gets stabbed fatally in the throat by one of Leonardo's broken swords.
** Leonardo is also impaled by Raphael, but he's wasn't as badly hurt, and Wiz notes that Leonardo has survived being stabbed multiple times and that turtles have proportionally smaller organs compared to humans, so Raphael's sais likely missed his vital areas.
* ImprobablyHighIQ: Donatello is stated to have an IQ of 637.
* IncompletelyTrained: Donatello, as the Brains of the group, devotes more of his time tinkering with machines than training compared to the other turtles. His lack of training comes back to haunt him when he gets ambushed by Raphael.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: While Leonardo's weapon of choice is said to be katanas, the hosts note that they are straight like ninjakin blades, rather than curved like katanas. Regardless, they make mincemeat out of Michelangelo and nunchucks.
* KickThemWhileTheyAreDown: When Donatello gets knocked off a stack of boxes by Raphael, he's on his back and left vulnerable Raphael doesn't waste time taking advantage of this opening.
* LazyBum: Michelangelo is portrayed like this in his analysis, preferring to relax and eat pizza overtraining.
* LeeroyJenkins: In contrast to Leonardo, Raphael never has a plan. He simply jumps in and overpowers his opponent.
* {{Leitmotif}}: For Leonardo, it's ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles [MARCH REMIX]'' and ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Theme (Rock/Metal Cover)''. Donnie uses ''Cowabunga'' from Film/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesIITheSecretOfTheOoze, Mikey's is ''Big Apple, 3 AM'' from VideoGame/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesTurtlesInTime, and Raph's analysis uses ''I Beam Fight'' from WesternAnimation/{{TMNT}}.
* MartialArtsStaff: Donatello's bo staff gives him greater reach than any of his brothers. He fares best against Raphael, who has the shortest weapons, thanks to this. Then he's distracted by Leonardo and Raph gets his revenge.
* MasterSwordsman: Leonardo is described as such with his twin swords.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Leonardo's face at the end of the battle says it all...
* OffWithHisHead: Michelangelo gets his head sliced off by Leonardo's Ninjaken swords.
* RedOniBlueOni: Michelangelo and Donatello, Raphael and Leonardo. the latter are the last two standing, but the BlueOni is victorious in the end.
* StandardizedLeader: Depending on the series, Leonardo is a straightforward, no-nonsense leader. Wizard introduces Leo as a leader with a sense of honor, but Boomstick interjects: "Too bad he traded his sense of humor for that sense of honor!"
* StockNinjaWeaponry:
** Raphael uses two sais. They are the greatest threat to Leonardo since they're primarily a tool for controlling opponents' weapons, they're strong enough to downright ''snap'' Leo's swords, and are the deadliest weapons besides Leonardo's on top of that.
** Michelangelo of the Ninja Turtles wields a nunchaku. Wiz wonders why Splinter gave the most complicated weapon to his least intelligent student.
* TheStoner: Boomstick jokes Michelangelo is this, even saying his weapon of choice is a bong.
* TheStrategist: Leonardo is TheLeader because he is one with ThePlan. This is one of the main reasons for both of his victories, as he knows the strengths and weaknesses of his brothers.
* TechnoBabble: Donatello is fluent in it.

* TheLeader: He's the team leader of the Battletoads.
* LeeroyJenkins: Prefers to charge in and beat anything in his way.
* NerdActionHero: He's really a nerdy teenager named Morgan Zieglar.
* TheSmartGuy: Even though he acts on instinct, he's still the strategist out of the three Battletoads, and the most likely one to be a match-up against Leonardo.
* SuperStrength: Any regular enemy he smashes goes flying across the screen.
* TeenageMutantSamuraiWombats: The Battletoads were one of the many copycats trying to cash in on Turtlemania in the 90s.
* UnskilledButStrong: His pre-fight breakdown shows he has little formal training and all his skills come from combat experience. Compared to his opponent, he is (almost literally) a steamroller. Still, his skills are all geared to a straight-up fight. This gets him killed when Leo takes out his stealth skills.

* HeroesPreferSwords: A heroic crimefighting ninja turtle who wields a [[DualWielding pair of Ninjaken]].

* WeakButSkilled: He's this compared to his opponent as while Zitz is more than a match for Leo in a straight up brawl, the mutant turtle's ninja skills and training as well as having better environmental awareness allowed him to stealthily assassinate the Battletoad and take the win.

* {{Leitmotif}}: "Riptor Theme" from ''VideoGame/KillerInstinct''.
* LegoGenetics: Has human and raptor DNA to make her an unstoppable killing machine.
* MoreDeadlyThanTheMale: Definitely more nasty and dangerous looking than [[RidiculouslyCuteCritter Yoshi]]. Averted, as Yoshi is the one who beats her.
* SamusIsAGirl: She's erroneously referred to as a male in her analysis, though it is justified. Nothing in her appearance suggests she's female, and her biography in the first Killer Instinct refers to her as an "it". The only indicators were the eggs she laid in her ending. She's referred to as a female in the recent Killer Instinct, three years after the episode premiered.

* FriendToAllLivingThings: Like Felicia, she's a benevolent person who finds it easy to make friends, and alongside her fellow catgirl tries to play with the butterfly. Keyword is [[AccidentalMurder "tries"]].
* FinishingMove: Her Astral Heat "Attack Meow Pow!" Tao catches an opponent and bounces them all around the arena. 458* AnnoyingArrows: All of Kratos' shots from the Bow of Apollo fail to harm Spawn.
* AntiHero: He's the protagonist of the ''God of War'' series, but he has little to no regard for the lives he takes on his quest for revenge.
* {{BFS}}: The Blade of Olympus. Which Wiz and Boomstick note is probably his only weapon that can hurt Spawn because the others were made with earthly materials (and the Blade explicitly contains all of his divine powers as the God of War), which fits the bill of a weapon that can kill Spawn.
* BlockingStopsAllDamage: The Golden Fleece can protect him from powerful attacks.
* ChainedByFashion: The Blades of Exile have chains that are sealed to his skin.
* DualWielding: His main weapon, the Blades of Exile are two short swords wrapped in chains.
* {{Flight}}: With the Wings of Icarus, which he ripped off of Icarus's back.
* HyperspaceArsenal: Not brought as a character trait, but still applies given that he more or less pulls his weapons out of thin air, including the Blade Of Olympus, which is five feet long and two feet wide.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Subverted, Spawn uses the flames from the Bow of Apollo to set Kratos on fire, but all it does is slow him down.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: He is impaled through the head by Spawn's handspike, ending the match.
* {{Leitmotif}}: The songs during his analysis are ''Brothers of Blood'' and ''Rage of Sparda'' from ''VideoGame/GodOfWarIII'',
* MarkOfShame: His pale-white skin is actually his family's ashes clinging to him. This is one of the reasons he lost; Spawn doesn't have to worry about running out of stamina or magic fuel when his opponent is literally covered in negativity.
* MultiMeleeMaster: Has a multitude of weapons at his disposal: [[NamedWeapons the Blades of Exile, the Nemean Cestus, the Claws of Hades, the Bow of Apollo and the Blade of Olympus]] are all at his disposal.
* OneManArmy: He slaughtered numerous gods in his time, he was Sparta's greatest warrior, after all.
* PlayingWithFire: The Blades of Exile can emit fire and The Bow of Apollo can charge up deadly fire arrows.
* PowerFist: The Nemean Cestus are gauntlets originally used by Hercules that can topple even the sturdiest of foes.
* RageAgainstTheHeavens: Ares tricked him into killing his family. Kratos [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge set out and killed every single Olympian god.]] (Except for [[MsFanservice Aphrodite]])
* SemiDivine: Kratos is a demigod, and is the son of Zeus.
* SoulPower: The Claws of Hades can rip the souls out of anyone who stands in Kratos' way.
* SuperSpeed: With the Boots of Hermes.
* SuperStrength: Strong enough to counter the might of a Titan or Hercules.
* TragicMistake: He made a deal with the God of War, Ares, to protect Sparta. Unfortunately, Ares tricked him into killing his wife and daughter, leading to his violent downfall.
* WrongGenreSavvy: Impales Spawn since usually, that kills his opponent. While he does slow Spawn down, this leads to his doom.

* AchillesHeel: His major weaknesses are necroplasm and [[HolyBurnsEvil holy weapons]].
* AlienBlood: Whenever he's cut by Kratos's blades, he bleeds an inhuman green.
* AntiHero: His quest has lead to clashes with forces from Heaven, Hell, and anything in between.
* BadassCape: It can even be used to trap enemies.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: His suit can create weapons anywhere on his body thanks to Leetha. Spawn kills Kratos by grabbing him and piercing a blade through his head.
* ChainPain: Leetha can create chains to attack foes.
* CombatPragmatist: Doesn't fight much head on, relies on plenty of ambush tricks and uses any advantage he can get.
* ComboPlatterPowers: Noted by Wiz and Boomstick; he has super regenerative powers, magic that can do almost anything he wants, fire manipulation that he uses to turn Kratos's flaming arrows against him, and is an EmotionEater that feeds off evil. It's one of the main reasons he wins because all the evil surrounding Kratos gives him a never-ending supply of energy.
* DealWithTheDevil: He made a deal with Malebogia, a demon lord of Hell, that he would see his family again if he served as the captain of Hell's army. However, he was reborn as an inhuman Hellspawn and discovered his wife remarried, so he swore revenge against the demon.
* ElementalPowers: It's mentioned in his analysis that he uses large bursts of fire and water to defeat packs of enemies. He specifically manipulates Kratos's fire arrow and ignites him in the fight.
* EvilLaugh: Belts out a cold cackle as he attacks Kratos a safe distance in the air.
* FightsLikeANormal: Despite his wide array of supernatural powers, Spawn prefers using firearms due to his years of experience with them. He opens up the fight with them but quickly drops them after it becomes apparent they aren’t doing anything to Kratos.
* HealingFactor: By using his own ectoplasm or feeding off the evils or sins of his opponents, Spawn can quickly regenerate from almost any injury. However, using too much of his own ectoplasm can weaken him and leave him vulnerable. Luckily, Kratos literally being covered in the ashes of his past sins means Spawn had no shortage of evil energy to feast off of to fuel his regeneration.
* ImaginationBasedSuperpower: His parasitic suit is limited only by Spawn's imagination. It can transform into a variety of weapons, such as chains, spikes, or a battle axe.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: He gets run through with the Blade of Olympus but it doesn't work.
* {{Leitmotif}}: The songs in his analysis are ''Opening Sequence'' from ''Spawn: In the Demon's Hand'' and ''Track 6'' from ''Spawn: The Eternal''.
* LivingWeapon: Spawn's suit, Leetha of the 7th House of K.
* MilitarySuperhero: He was a powerful soldier and assassin when he was alive. Even with his otherworldly powers as Spawn, he prefers to use his guns.
* NoSell: Weapons that were ''not'' entirely forged on another plane of existence such as heaven can not harm him. This is the other main reason for his victory since even though Kratos' weapons are magic, except for the Blade of Olympus (which houses all of his divine powers as the God of War), they're composed of earthly materials. This means that unless Spawn is decapitated, any injuries they do to him are nothing but flesh wounds.
* OffWithHisHead: It's noted by Boomstick that he can only be permanently killed if he's decapitated. Fortunately for Spawn, Kratos doesn't know this.
* PhysicalGod: He was this once after being granted unlimited power by the Mother of All Things. However, after banishing God and Satan from the world and rebuilding it anew, he gave it up and returned to his Hellspawn form.
* RaceAgainstTheClock: Spawn and his suit Leetha rely on Spawn's supply of ectoplasm (which composes his body) in a fight, and everything from regeneration to using his magic drains it and Leetha herself feeds on his energy constantly. If too much is drained without being replenished, Spawn will weaken and eventually be DraggedOffToHell if it gets too low. Luckily, they can feast on the evil and sins of others to replenish it or replace it entirely for being consumed and Kratos is the perfect enemy to face for such a feast.
* ScaryBlackMan: He was black when he was alive, and Leetha's covering certainly keeps the impression.
* StoneWall: Spawn's immortality allows him to endure many violent battles and lethal injuries, and like Kratos, Spawn has attempted suicide multiple times with very little effect on him. Kratos' impressive arsenal of weapons could not overwhelm Spawn's regenerative powers, allowing Spawn the victory.
* TheSymbiote: Spawn's costume is actually a demonic entity called Leetha of the 7th House of K or K7-Leetha.
* TeleportSpam: He teleports frequently in the fight, leaving Kratos open to attack.
* ToHellAndBack: Was dragged to Hell upon his death, and struck a deal with Malebogia.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: A victim of this. He was killed by [[CorruptCorporateExecutive his boss, Jason Wynn,]] when Spawn began to question the ethics of the missions he received.

* BigBulkyBomb: His strongest bombs are the Super Bombs, which set off a huge explosion. He does use it to destroy Dig Dug's terrain before he makes it to the surface, though Dig Dug still finds an opening to blow it up in White Bomber's face.

* TerrainSculpting: His bombs allow him to clear apart the land for more maneuverability
* ThrowDownTheBomblette: Bombs are, obviously, his weapon of choice. Different Power-Ups can also change their properties: Bomb Up gives him more bombs, Explosion Expander increases their explosion's range, and he can move the bombs themselves with Bomb Kick or Power Glove.

* OneHitPointWonder: Like many retro game heroes, he dies if he touches an enemy. Subverted in the battle itself, where he takes a few hits from Rooey.
* TheParalyzer: By pumping his enemies full of air twice, he can stun them for a few seconds. He stuns Bomberman by doing this, making Bomberman accidentally blow himself up with a Super Bomb.
* TerrainSculpting: His digging skills allow him to use the terrain to his advantage, from giving him quick maneuverability to granting him access to attack enemies by surprise.
* TunnelKing: His expertise with this trope plays a major factor in his victory. By controlling the terrain in which the two of them fight, he can control the flow of battle.

\
''Prince of the Saiyans and Rival to Goku''

* NinetiesAntiHero: Vegeta was introduced as a member of Frieza's army and a much more aggressive counterpart to Goku. While he did become a valuable ally, his vigor never died out.
* AntiHero: Started as a villain before becoming one of Goku's allies. He's now one of the earth's strongest protectors, but he is more serious, cocky, and aggressive than TheHero, Goku.
* BackFromTheDead: As of Vegeta vs Shadow's debut, he's died at least twice in the Dragon Ball series but always came back.
* BatmanCanBreatheInSpace: Shadow using Chaos Control to send him into space doesn't affect him even though there's no air. Vegeta has been in space before without protection, so it's justified.
* BloodKnight: Vegeta loves fighting powerful opponents, going so far as to risk his life-fighting warriors stronger than he is.
* TheCameo: Shows up at the beginning of Superman vs. Goku, offhandedly mentioning how he killed that "weird transforming hedgehog".
* ColonyDrop: Intended to kill Shadow by '''PUNCHING THE MOON TOWARDS EARTH.'''
* DeadpanSnarker: Most of his dialogue towards Shadow such as the 'rip off' line about Super Shadow.
* DyingRace: Vegeta is one of the last Saiyans, something that he is very proud of.
* ExBigBad: Originally began the series as a powerful villain, he later became the leader of the Z-Fighters and started a family with Bulma.
* {{Flight}}: Has the ability to fly, and usually keeps airborne in the fight.
* HypocriticalHumor: Mocks Shadows' claim of being "The Ultimate Lifeform" because he's too short. Shadow immediately calls him out on this and he wasn't pleased.
-->'''Vegeta:''' Word of advice freak, You're a little on the short side to try to be threatening.\
'''Shadow:''' Funny, I was going to say the same thing about you.\
'''Vegeta:''' [[TranquilFury ...You've just sealed your fate, fool.]]
* KamehameHadouken: Galick Gun, Big Bang Attack, and Final Flash. He is from the series responsible for the first half of this [[TropeNamers tropes' name]] after all.
* KiManipulation: He can use his inner Ki to unleash powerful energy base attacks, from the rapid firing Energy Bullet Volley to a large burst of energy called the Final Flash.
* LargeHam: Lanipator proving he's just as hammy here as he is in ''WebVideo/DragonBallZAbridged''.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Vegeta's Theme'' and ''Vegeta Powers Up'' from ''Anime/DragonBallZ''.
* LightningBruiser: Can move fast, can destroy planets, and can take one ''hell'' of a beating.
* MadeOfIron: Boomstick notes that even if Vegeta is outmatched he can take an incredible amount of abuse, which meant he could easily survive against [[SuperMode Super Shadow.]]
* OneHitKill: Once Shadow's super form runs out on him, it only takes Vegeta one energy blast to vaporize the hedgehog.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: This one of the main cast in ''Anime/DragonBallZ'' we're talking about. During the fight, he tries killing Shadow by pushing the moon onto him.
* RedOniBlueOni: The red oni to Shadow's blue because he's hammier.
* RocketlessReentry: He once survived a fall from orbit to earth at a rate of 20,000 miles per hour.
* StandardPowerupPose: His is the TropeCodifier.
* SuperMode: Super Saiyan, levels 1 and 2, though he only uses the former. He achieved Super Saiyan 4 in the GT continuity that was later confirmed acceptable for citing in a Death Battle but only with outside help which isn't gonna fly here.
* VictoryByEndurance: He's by no means weaker than Shadow, but his Super Saiyan form relies entirely on his own battle strength while Super Shadow needs an external power source (rings). All Vegeta needs to do is outlast Super Shadow, and given the ridiculous endurance he's shown in his home series, that proves not to be an issue.
* WarriorPrince: He's a pure-blooded Saiyan and proud of his ancestry.

'''Voiced by:''' Curtis Arnott\
\
''The Ultimate Lifeform and Rival to Sonic''

* AntiHero: He originally wanted to destroy earth after the death of his creator's granddaughter Maria, but eventually helped the heroes in the end. Still, he's not going to pull any punches if Sonic's in the way of his goals.
* BadassBoast: "That's not all... I'm full of surprises."
* BadassFingerSnap: How he activates some of his powers.
* BatmanCanBreatheInSpace: Like Vegeta, he can survive in the outer atmosphere of space.
* {{Expy}}: The Super Shadow form is awful similar to DBZ's Super Saiyans. Vegeta lampshades this.
* {{Flight}}: One of his abilities as Super Shadow.
* HeartbrokenBadass: After Maria was accidentally shot and killed by a G.U.N. soldier. Enraged, Shadow swore revenge, at least until he remembered that he promised Maria that he protect humanity.
* HourOfPower: His Super Form has a time limit; without rings, he cannot sustain it for a full minute. Because the only power that allows him to fight Vegeta on even footing has a time limit and Vegeta can fight for prolonged times even against beings that outmatch him, he can't kill him in time.
* HumanWeapon: He was [[ArtificialHuman created by Professor Gerald Robotnik to be the]] UltimateLifeForm. One of his created purposes was to be used as a weapon for the Government agency G.U.N., but his main purpose was to cure the deathly ill with his genes, with Gerald's beloved granddaughter Maria in mind.
* KiManipulation: He has a natural connection to the Chaos Force, allowing him to use the energy in attacks such as Chaos Spear or [[SphereOfDestruction Chaos Blast]].
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Throw it All Away (Instrumental)'' from ''VideoGame/SonicAdventure2'' and ''[[VideoGame/ShadowTheHedgehog All Hail Shadow]]'' by Yannick Jason.
* LightningBruiser: He can run at hypersonic speeds, survive a fall from orbit, and can destroy entire armadas by himself. He's not the same extent of this trope as Vegeta is, however, outside of being Super Shadow, who has a very strict time limit of use.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Turned into mere smoke after Vegeta blasts him.
* PowerLimiter: His rings restrict his connection to the Chaos Force. Without them, he's vastly more powerful but exhausts fast.
* RedOniBlueOni: The blue oni to Vegeta's red because he's more stoic.
* StandardPowerupPose: As per his series' tradition.
* SphereOfDestruction: His strongest attack is Chaos Blast, a burst of Chaos energy. He uses it at the end of the fight, but that accidentally causes his Super form to run out of energy, giving Vegeta a fatal opening.
* SuperMode: With the 7 Chaos Emeralds, he can transform into Super Shadow, a golden-haired super form that increases his strength and makes him invincible... [[HourOfPower so long as he has enough rings to keep him sustained]].
-->'''Vegeta:''' "Wow... what a ripoff."
* SuperSpeed: Hypersonic in regular form, but his super form is said to be able to move near the speed of light.
-->'''Boomstick:''' But, considering his super-speed, a short time to him is a ''long'' time to his opponent.
* TeleportSpam: With Chaos Control. In the battle, however, this is inverted, he kept teleporting ''Vegeta'' to various destinations, much to his annoyance.
* UltimateLifeForm: TropeNamer. Loses to Vegeta nonetheless.
* YouHaveNoIdeaWhoYoureDealingWith: Says it word-for-word to Vegeta before going [[SuperMode Super Shadow]].
* YoureInsane: Doesn't say this to Vegeta directly, but his reaction to Vegeta punching the moon towards him is, "IS HE INSANE?!"

--->'''Mario''': ''"It's-a-me, Mario!"''\
\
''The Whimsical Italian Plumber''

* AttackAttackAttack: Wizard states that Mario is largely impulsive in a fight and not much of a strategist.
* {{Acrofatic}}: He's a bit on the pudgy side, but can run and jump throughout the Mushroom Kingdom without breaking a sweat.
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: He turns gigantic with the Mega Mushroom, bulldozing over smaller enemies with ease.
* TheChosenOne: Mario was one of the seven Star Children, a group of 7 individuals born with immense power and destined for greatness.
* ChromeChampion: The Metal Cap turns Mario into heavy, indestructible steel and increases his power.
* {{Fireballs}} / PlayingWithFire: With the Fire Flower.
* {{Flight}}: They settled on the Feather Cape.
* GracefulInTheirElement: The Frog Suit makes him a stronger swimmer. On land, however, he's much slower but can jump higher.
* GroundPound: Uses this as Frog Mario to destroy Sonic's Bubble Shield.
* TheHero: The protagonist of the series who protects the Mushroom Kingdom and rescues Princess Peach from Bowser.
* HourOfPower: His Starman, Metal Cap, and Mega Mushroom have a short duration. He has an OhCrap moment when the Mega Mushroom wears off.
* InASingleBound: It's Mario, formerly known as, "jumpman'.
* InvincibilityPowerUp: Mario becomes invincible with the Starman. It also increases his speed.
* JackOfAllStats: He's the former {{trope namer}}. He loses because he lacks any notable ability to beat Sonic's speed without power-ups.
* {{Leitmotif}}: "Buoy Base Galaxy" from ''VideoGame/SuperMarioGalaxy'' and "Bowser's Lava Lair" from ''VideoGame/SuperMarioGalaxy2''.
* MagicMushroom: Boomstick cracks about his Mega Mushroom.
* MutualDisadvantage: Both his and Sonic's invincibility power-ups render each other useless since means neither of them can hurt the other. However, Sonic's has the added effect of [[HeroicSecondWind healing his injuries after transforming, whilst Mario's don't]].
* OhCrap: Reacts like this when the Mega Mushroom wears off.
* PrimaryColorChampion: The most famous video game hero, dressed in red and blue.
* TheRival: Nintendo's plumber and Sega's Blue Blur had one of the most bitter rivalries in video game history.
* SizeShifter: Can become a giant with a Mega Mushroom.
* SuperMode:
** Starman qualifies as this. When combined with the Metal Box, he was able to harm ''Super Sonic''.
** His Mega Mushroom power-up makes him so huge Sonic has to run away.
* SuperSpeed: Sort of. With the Mega Mushroom activated, he's much faster than normal, but still nowhere near as fast as Sonic. This, in addition to all the previous damage he had taken beforehand, seems to have tired him out, leaving him open for a [[HeroicSecondWind rejuvenated Sonic to finish him.]]
* SuperStrength: The analysis sections shows him busting solid brick without effort.
* UselessSuperpowers: The tanooki suits' secondary "Statue Mario" ability; it just wasted time.

\
''The Hyperactive Hedgehog''

* AlwaysAccurateAttack: His Homing Attack locks onto opponents and can allow Sonic to rebound off them multiple times.
* BeTheBall: Most of his attacks, like his Spin Attack and Spin Dash, involve him curling up into a ball and spinning at incredibly fast speeds, becoming a living buzz saw.
* BlueIsHeroic: He's a blue hedgehog and the main character of his franchise.
* DeflectorShields: Uses his elemental shields from VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles. Only [[PlayingWithFire the first one]] is particularly effective.
* ElementalBarrier: [[PlayingWithFire Fire]], [[ShockAndAwe Lightning]], and [[BouncingBattler Water]]. [[SingleUseShield They will disintegrate after blocking a deadly blow, however.]]
* FastestThingAlive: It's one of his nicknames, and he has been known to have an average running speed of 765 miles per hour.
* FragileSpeedster: Sonic is not known for his endurance, but clearly makes up for it with his supersonic speed. Mario has few options to defend against Sonic's speed without resorting to powerups, while Sonic can easily dodge many of Mario's most powerful attacks and abilities.
* TheHero: Protects the land's critters from Dr. Eggman's robotic creations.
* HeroicSecondWind: Exiting [[SuperMode Super Sonic]] mode leaves him, with few exceptions, at peak physical condition regardless of whatever it was before transforming. Due to using Super Sonic near the climax, he was more or less back to full strength while Mario still had all of his accumulated damage, giving Sonic the opening he needed to win.
* HourOfPower: His Super Form. Doesn't prove a deciding edge as Mario has power-ups that make him invincible. However, it does heal him back to full strength, whilst Mario's power-ups don't.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He hates evil and always looks out for others, but can be cocky and arrogant.
* LaResistance: In the Archie Comics, Sonic is a member of the Freedom Fighters, a group of rebels fighting against Eggman's tyranny.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Robotnik Theme'' from ''VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles'', ''Final Boss Theme'' from Sonic 3, and "Solaris Phase 2" from ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2006''.
* LightningBruiser: Super Sonic can near (or even above) the speed of light, is invincible and is strong enough to destroy entire armadas. Mario needed the Starman, Metal Cap, and finally, the Mega Mushroom to even the odds.
* MascotWithAttitude: His dialogue is full of sass to Mario.
* PlayingWithFire: He uses his Fire Shield to counter Fire Mario.
* RedOniBlueOni: Red, despite his blue appearance, to Mario's Blue because of his speed and sass.
* TheRival: Unlike the 2018 version, Sonic acknowledges the rivalry between the two.
-->'''Sonic:''' "Alright, chubby. Let's settle this!"
* StandardPowerupPose: As per his series' tradition.
* SuperDrowningSkills: Without his bubble shield he is useless underwater.
* SuperMode: Super Sonic. It increases his strength, allows him to fly, and makes him completely invincible [[HourofPower as long as he has enough rings]]. It's enough to counter Mario's Metal, Super, and Mega forms, but it wears off before the fight's over.
* SuperSpeed: It's the clincher in the fight when both of their power-ups are done. At the end of the day, his baseline is too fast for Mario to catch or evade.
* TooSlow: He's "the fastest thing alive"; ''Everyone'' is too slow, even Mario.

''The Young Pop Sensation''

* AccidentalDiscovery: Marketing executive Scooter Braun came across his Website/YouTube videos by complete accident. This lead to the discovery of one of the biggest pop stars of the late 2000s / early 2010s.
* CashCowFranchise: In-Universe. Wizard discusses the many licensed products with his name on them. A lock of his hair was even sold for over forty-thousand dollars!
* {{Determinator}}: Even with all the crap he puts up with, he still goes out on stage to perform.
* HairTriggerTemper: Fans, haters, paparazzi, doesn't matter. If you piss him off, he ''will'' use force.
* HateSink: The worst aspects of his public persona are put together for his Death Battle incarnation- his manufactured popstar image, annoying fanbase, and occasional aggressive outbursts are parodied to create a boorish character.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Uses his "Someday" perfume as a pepper spray against Black.
* JokeCharacter: He's here to be made fun of.
* {{Leitmotif}}: One of the songs in his analysis is the instrumental version of his song ''Never Let You Go''.
* LoonyFan: His most passionate fans get their own analysis section in the video, specifically highlighting events when their overexcitement caused harm to Bieber or others.
* MegatonPunch: Punches Black far three times.
* NoNonsenseNemesis: Against Black, he went for any weapon he could find to kill her.
* SpoiledBrat: Is portrayed as this in Death Battle.
* TeenIdol: As shown by his fans.
* TroubledButCute: He gets into fights with others often, but he doesn't have tons of fangirls for nothing. He's even called "too famous for his own good" in his analysis.
* TheUnexpected: Death Battle just had fictional characters in its episodes. A teen pop star wasn't even considered by the show's fans.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: He's afraid of thrown objects, which Rebecca Black takes advantage of at one point to keep him at a distance.
* WouldHitAGirl: With whatever weapons he can get his hands on.

''The Girl Who Took [=YouTube=] by Storm''

* ActionGirl: Somehow Wiz and Boomstick were able to turn her into one.
* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: The hosts claim that she has "extreme ADHD" since she got distracted from going to school in ''Friday''.
* BrokenPedestal: She's a Belieber, a huge fan of Justin Bieber, so they had to think of some way to make these two fight. In the battle, she's super excited to see Justin, but he makes her back off with his perfume. This disappointed her.
** There's also her mentor, "Fat Usher" in her backstory. He tried to make Website/YouTube users pay to see the Friday video, so Black submitted a copyright claim to prevent him from making money off the video.
* CarFu: Her (possibly too young to drive) friend uses his car to slam Bieber against a brick wall, killing Bieber, Black, and himself all at once.
* CompositeCharacter: Since Rebecca was just starting when this episode premiered, her analysis is based on her appearances in the Friday and Last Friday Night music videos, rather than real-life events.
* TheDitherer: Notorious for her indecisiveness, especially regarding which seat to take in a car ride. This is part of why she died; had she taken advantage of the opportunities offered here, she might have defeated Bieber before her friend showed up in his car.
* FanGirl: Of her opponent Justin Bieber; yeah, seriously.
* GroinAttack: Tries this on Bieber... it doesn't work.
* HateSink: Her Death Battle character is more of a parody of her appearance in ''Friday'', "the worst song ever made".
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Throws a bowl of cereal and a water bottle at Bieber.
* JokeCharacter: She's also here to be made fun of.
* KickChick: Most of her physical attacks consisted of her kicking Bieber.
* LifeOfTheParty: Her life seems to be centered around parties.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Friday'', of course, plays throughout her analysis.
* LoonyFan: She is parodied as this in Death Battle.
* ManipulativeEditing: The quote above makes it seem likes she's saying this to someone, but it's actually what people said about ''her'', just because she sang Friday.
* PunchedAcrossTheRoom: Bieber punches her across the arena three times.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: She's gotta have her bowl, gotta have cereal!
* TooDumbToLive: Many of her attacks against Bieber do not affect him. Other times, instead of attacking him, she just stands there. Finally, she stands up in the back of a car when moving at highway speeds. This gets her killed as she proves too indecisive to take advantage of any openings on Bieber and stands in the back of a moving car heading to a wall.
* TheUnexpected: More so than Bieber, since she's basically a one-hit-wonder.

* TheApprentice: His mastery of the Force was taught to him by his wise, old mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi and later on, Yoda.
* AttackItsWeakPoint: Thanks to his shatterpoint ability, Luke finds a weakness on Harry Potter, the iconic scar, which he proceeds to rip open like a Christmas present.
* BarrierWarrior: Uses the force to nullify some of Harry's spells.
* ChokeHolds: With Force Choke. Harry manages to break out of it, though.
* CombatPragmatist: Starts off the fight by using his attacks that end it the most quickly, though they don't work.
* DeceptiveLegacy: His aunt and uncle lied about the fate of his father to protect him.
* FantasticFightingStyle: Luke uses the Djem So fighting style. It specializes in pressuring an opponent.
* FeelNoPain: He can resist pain until he can heal himself with Flashburn. When Harry cuts Luke's hand off, he's able to shake off the pain after Harry's death.
* JediMindTrick: Force Persuasion doesn't work on Harry Potter because of his training in Occulmency.
* LaserBlade: His Lightsaber and shoto-saber, which can cut through most objects.
* {{Leitmotif}}: "Mission Complete" from ''[[VideoGame/RogueSquadron Star Wars Rogue Squadron III]]'' and "Sail Barge Assault" from ''[[Film/ANewHope Star Wars: Episode IV]]'' play during his analysis.
* MartialPacifist: He doesn't like using violence, but isn't a push-over if forced into a fight.
* ParentalIssues: Boomstick considers his "daddy issues" one of his few major flaws.
* ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks: Throws his iconic Lightsaber and it is destroyed by one of Harry's magic projectiles. After distracting him with shatterpoint, Luke tries again with his Shoto-Saber and force-drives it right into Harry's chest, killing him.
* MagicKnight: Uses both lightsaber skills and force powers; often augmenting his body's strength to use the force.
* MindOverMatter: Can use telekinetic abilities with the Force. In particular, he uses it to bring Harry back down to Earth as he blasts Luke from afar on his broomstick.
* PsychicRadar: Force sense assists Luke in predicting, blocking, and avoiding Harrys' attacks as well as alerting him to Harry's current position when he is using the [[InvisibilityCloak Cloak of Invisibility.]]

* AbsurdCuttingPower: Sectumsempra is a powerful slashing spell. Luke gets a deep cut from this in the fight.
* AchillesHeel: His scar. Once Luke finds this out via shatterpoint, he exploits it for the win.
* TheApprentice: His mastery of wizardry was taught to him by his wise, old mentor, Albus Dumbledore.
-->'''Boomstick''': "Now why does that sound familiar?"
* BeamSpam: He rapidly fires non-verbal spells at Luke, though they are all disintegrated by Luke's lightsaber.
* BlastingItOutOfTheirHands: His favorite charm to use, Expelliarmus, does this. If it hits a target, it will knock whatever they're holding out of their hands. It can also blast opponents through the air.
* CharmPerson: Confundus can trick an opponent's mind. He uses it in the fight to misdirect one of Luke's lightsaber attacks.
* DeceptiveLegacy: His aunt and uncle refused to acknowledge his magic heritage, though it was out of fear of being attacked, not out of love.
* FlyingBroomstick: He uses the Firebolt for flight.
* GrossUpCloseUp: We're treated to a lovely extreme close-up of his iconic scar getting slowly ripped open via Shatterpoint.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Luke Skywalker finishes him off by throwing his shoto-saber into Harry's chest.
* ImmuneToMindControl: Harry's Occlumency protects him from mind control, and in the fights, he uses it to resist Luke's Force Persuasion.
* InvisibilityCloak: Along with the firebolt, this is another tool in his bag of tricks.
* {{Leitmotif}}: "Hedwig's Theme" from ''Film/HarryPotterAndThePhilosophersStone'' and "Fireworks" from ''Film/HarryPotterAndTheHalfBloodPrince'' play during his analysis.
* MagicWand: This is the wizard's answer to the lightsaber; a small tool for using magic.
* OneHitKill: Avada Kedavra, the infamous killing spell.
* TheParalyzer: The Stupefy charm stuns foes.
* ProtectiveCharm: Protego, a charm that protects the user from harm. Harry uses it to deflect a lightsaber flung at him.
* TragicDropout: He never finished his seventh year at Hogwarts, since he was in his final battle with [[BigBad Voldemort]].
* TeleportSpam: He can avaperate at will. He frequently teleports in the fight.
* SoulFragment: When Voldemort tried to kill Harry as a baby, he accidentally made Harry into a [[SoulJar Horcrux]], allowing Harry to possesses Voldemort's powers.
* SummonToHand: Accio brings an item back to Harry's hand when he calls.
* UnblockableAttack: Wiz claims Avada Kedavra is this trope but Boomstick quickly disproves this.

* TheApprentice: She was trained by an old friend of her father's, Gen. Unlike most MentorArchetype examples, he left her after her father's death.
* BadassInDistress: Despite being more than capable in battle, she has been rescued by Guile multiple times.
* TheGunslinger: She ''could'' be an awesome gunslinger, as she placed sixth in an international shooting competition, but she doesn't normally carry around a gun.
* HurricaneKick: Her Spinning Bird Kick, where she turns upside-down and spins around, twirling her legs to strike an opponent. It manages to make Mai dizzy, but she seizes an opening and gets the upper hand on Chun-Li.
* KiManipulation: Her Kikouken and Kikosho moves.
* KickChick: She's the page picture and her legs are noted by Wiz to be her greatest asset. Boomstick agreed but for a different reason.
* ILetYouWin: She rescued one of her students from Urien, but he let her win to test her abilities.

* GirlyBruiser: She's quite feminine, but is a very strong fighter.
* JapanesePoliteness: Notably gives Chun-Li a polite bow before their fight.

* KillItWithFire: Manipulates her pyrokinesis to burn Chun-Li to a crisp.
* {{Leitmotif}}: "Flame Dragon God" from ''Fatal Fury Special'', "Trash Head (Goenitz Theme)" from ''[[VideoGame/TheKingOfFighters King of Fighters 2002]]'', and "Esaka (Japan Team Theme)" from ''King of Fighters '96'' play during her analysis.
* LightningBruiser: She moves fast and focuses on single powerful strikes to overpower foes. Her speed thanks to her ninja training helped overwhelm Chun-Li in this regard.
* MsFanservice: Her skimpy kunoichi outfit doesn't hide much.
* {{Ninja}}: Trained as a Shiranui ninja. Her unorthodox abilities allow her to win against Chun's superior conditioning.
* PlayingWithFire: She has pyrotechnics in her arsenal, and can use it to ignite her clothes or fans.
* RescueRomance: If she's ever in trouble, Andy's usually there to save her, to her pleasure.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: [[InvokedTrope Invoked]]. She deliberately wears skimpy clothing to distract opponents. Wiz mistakenly refers to this skill as "Kunoichi", but that is actually the name for a female ninja. They just use it a lot.
* VictoriasSecretCompartment: Where she keeps her fans. Boomstick makes a joke about that before being told this really is the case.
* WallJump: Even engages in fight with Chun-Li while they both jump between trees.

[[folder:Starscream VS Rainbow Dash]]

* {{Foil}}: Part of the reasoning behind why these two characters were paired up against each other is how their personalities contrast: Starscream is the TropeNamer for [[TheStarscream villains who betray their superior]], while Rainbow Dash is [[UndyingLoyalty the embodiment of loyalty itself]].

-->'''Starscream:''' GYAAAAAAAAGGGGH! ''[Transforms into his F-15 mode and flies after her]''
* ButtMonkey: It's highlighted in his intro, particularly the incident in the "Kiss Players" manga where he takes over a cybernetic girl while she's on the toilet, and proceeds to leave without pulling up her underpants.
* BigBadWannabe: Always tries to take over leadership of the Decepticons, but always fails.
* BodySurf: How Starscream keeps coming back from having his body destroyed and being reduced to his [[OurSoulsAreDifferent spark]] (a Transformer's 'soul'), something unique to Starscream. Even though he's technically immortal and one of the few characters to survive losing a ''Death Battle'', his loss still counted because the only known mechanical object he could body surf into in Equestria was a sewing machine, so he's as good as harmless.
* CardCarryingVillain: His heads-up displays list one of his objectives as "Destroy Happiness."
* CoolPlane: Can transform into an [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonnell_Douglas_F-15_Eagle F-15 Eagle]] jet fighter.
* CombatPragmatist: He feigns submission to trick Rainbow Dash into lowering her guard so he can aim all his missiles at her. He still loses.
* ConsummateLiar: It's stated that his greatest skill is his silver tongue. He uses this to feign wanting to stop fighting and "join the herd" to distract Rainbow Dash whilst he arms a [[MacrossMissileMassacre whole series of missiles to fire at her]].
* DavidVersusGoliath: The Goliath to Rainbow Dash's David. This turns out to be a bad thing, as Rainbow is significantly smaller and quicker, meaning he had little chance of landing a killing blow.
* DirtyCoward: It's noted in his profile: "Starscream is a coward."
* TheDragon: The Air Commander of the Decepticons.
* EvilLaugh: Bursts into arrogant laughter as soon as he sees what he's up against.
* GatlingGood: From an [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M61_Vulcan M61 Vulcan]] Gatling Cannon. Unfortunately, his aim is terrible.
* HarmlessVillain: [[PaperTiger He and his weapons might look menacing at first glance]], but the video points out that he's a moron and a dreadful marksman and strategist, so fans tend to accept that most of the other combatants could beat him up.
* HighAltitudeBattle: Can aim at his foes from the skies in his jet form
* HumongousMecha: His robot form is humanoid, and gives him access to bombs, missiles, and lasers.
* ImperialStormtrooperMarksmanshipAcademy: One of the reasons behind his defeat, and is stated to be a worse shot than a Stormtrooper that struggles to hit a 20-foot robot, much less a 4-foot pony. He only gets a shot off on Rainbow Dash "once", and it's when she's standing a few feet away from him and since it's his null ray, it has very little effect.
* InTheBack: He uses cheap tactics in a fight, striking opponents when they're not looking.
* JawDrop: His reaction to Rainbow performing the Sonic Rainboom.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Attack on the Shuttle'' from Transformers: The movie plays during his analysis.
* MacrossMissileMassacre: Attempts this against Rainbow Dash, only for her to turn it against him.
* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy: To some extent, the Feminine Boy to Dash's Masculine Girl. Screamer's an IneffectualSympatheticVillain who likes to whine a lot, while Rainbow Dash is a strong-willed and confident {{Tomboy}} who likes challenges.
* OurSoulsAreDifferent: His mutant indestructible spark. Interestingly, it makes him one of the only characters to have survived a ''Death Battle'' loss, but it still counts due to the destruction of his body.
* PlethoraOfMistakes: Whenever he tries to take over the Decepticons, his plans usually fail. In particular, Death Battle points out the time he was killed 20 seconds after being crowned king of the Decepticons, to becoming a laughing stock in his robot-school-girl-incident mentioned above.
* PreMortemOneLiner: Attempts one as he fires all his remaining missiles at Rainbow Dash while she's distracted, but it doesn't stick.
-->'''Rainbow Dash:''' ''[Starscream locks the homing missiles onto her]'' Wait, what's that?
-->'''Starscream:''' ''[Activates his missile pods]'' '''DIE!'''
* QuirkyWork: In-Universe. Starscream's [[ComedicUnderwearExposure failed possession]] of a robotic school girl in the ''Kiss Players'' manga is given a brief mention by Wizard.
* SuperSpeed: His jet form's top speed is 2,100 MPH, almost three times faster than the speed of sound. Still, it's not quick enough to keep up with Rainbow.
* TransformingMecha: But of course; he uses it to chase Rainbow Dash into a cloud.
* WoundedGazelleGambit: Pulls this to distract Rainbow Dash whilst he arms his remaining missiles, but it's ultimately [[HoistByHisOwnPetard turned against him when she flies up and leads them all back to him]].
%% Do not add The Starscream here. It's not relevant because he's not trying to overthrow anyone.

* BadassAdorable: In Boomstick's own words,
-->This is a pony. A baby girl horse toy. Why is it so Awesome?
* BlowYouAway: Can create and control powerful tornadoes by rapidly flying in a circle. She sucks Starscream in one and it breaks off one of his wings.
* BorrowedCatchphrase: After Starscream attacks her, Rainbow says "[[PunctuatedForEmphasis It. Is. On!]]" This phrase is frequently used by Rainbow's friend, [[TheFashionista Rarity]].
* CompetitionFreak: A minor example, she's loyal to a fault, but occasionally cheats to try to win.
* DavidVersusGoliath: The David to Starscreams' Goliath. This turns out to be a good thing, as Starscream is a terrible shot, even when shooting at robots his own size.
* EatingTheEnemy: After destroying his body, Rainbow Dash eats his Spark to end the fight.
* FlyingBrick: She's a strong and durable pegasus.
* GoalInLife: She wants to become a member of the aerial stunt performance group, the Wonderbolts.
* HighAltitudeBattle: Her Mach 5 flying speeds and WeatherManipulation allow her to run circles around Starscream when the battle takes to the skies.
* ImprobablePilotingSkills: Can perform a move called the [[SignatureMove Buccaneer Blaze]], which is apparently so awesome that it can't be shown on-screen.
* IShallTauntYou: After jet-mode Starscream follows her into the clouds, she repeatedly pops up in front of him and makes faces, purely for the lulz.
* {{Leitmotif}}: "Sonic Rainboom (Just An Old Mare's Tale)" by iamnotacleverpony and ''Iron Pony'' from WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic play during her analysis.
* LethalJokeCharacter: She's a little blue pegasus up against a heavily armed giant robot that can turn into a jet. Part of the reason her Death Battle was made was because of an anti-brony faction wanting to see a colorful pony go up against a giant death robot and get smashed. And then the creators did their research and found out that, with her great speed, weather control, and Sonic Rainboom, she actually ''[[BadassAdorable did]]'' stand a chance against a giant robot. More than just a chance; she won handily!
** Boomstick quickly admits that she's awesome after seeing her powers and how easily she wins.
* MadeOfIron: She's sturdier than she looks, being able to crash into trees and rocks and get back up.
* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy: Yes, as ironic as that sounds. Screamer's an IneffectualSympatheticVillain who likes to whine a lot, while Rainbow Dash is strong-willed and confident.
* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: It's not shown what the Buccaneer Blaze ''does'', other than creating a huge blue explosion, but it's enough to destroy Starscream.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Reconstructed. While her bucking had little effect on Starscream, she has other abilities that can do significant damage.
* ShockAndAwe: By kicking storm clouds, she can release bolts of lightning from them, or simply agitate the electricity inside.
* SuperSpeed: Can fly at Mach 5 normally, meaning she covers a little over a mile in a second. When performing the [[SignatureMove Sonic Rainboom]], she can break the sound barrier and speed up to Mach 10.
* ToonPhysics: One of the listed advantages she has against Starscream, she can take anything he threw at her due to her cartoony durability.
* UndyingLoyalty: According to Ben's Road to 100 blogs, this is one of the reasons she was paired with Starscream. Whereas Starscream is willing to backstab anyone to achieve his goals, Rainbow always backs up her friends, to the point where her Element of Harmony is loyalty.
* YouFightLikeACow: Keeps up the quips when fighting Starscream throughout.
-->'''Rainbow Dash:''' ''[Sitting on top of Starscream's F-15 mode cockpit in mid-air]'' You're not very good at this game, are you?
* YouTalkTooMuch: Bluntly states "You talk a lot." to Starscream after he announces that he'll destroy her.
* YourSoulIsMine: She eats Starscream's Spark.
* WeatherManipulation: She's Ponyville's Weather Manager and can psychically move clouds. She bucks them with her legs or bounces on them to create rain or thunderstorms.
* WingdingEyes: Gets a pair of swirly eyes after getting hit by Starscream's Null Ray.

* ArmorIsUseless: Averted. His titanium armor means that most of Doomguy's weapons, which use regular small arms ammo, can't punch through to Master Chief himself.
* BeatingADeadPlayer: Teabagging variety.
* BeeHiveBarrier: His Bubble Shield protects the user from anything, though people and vehicles can still pass through it.
* BioAugmentation: Went under this as a child, increasing his strength, speed, and reflexes.
* BornLucky: A canon trait of his, and the best possible explanation for how Chief can find weapons so easily.
-->'''Boomstick:''' "He can find weapons on the ground more often than you can find change on a sidewalk."
* CatchAndReturn: Grabs one of Doomguy's rockets and chucks it back at him.
* ChildSoldiers: Trained to be a super-soldier when he was six years old and received his superhuman augmentation at fourteen.
* CoolSword: Chief's Energy Sword. While he has the least experience with it, [[ParryingBullets the blades can block bullets,]] [[GameplayAndStorySegregation something that can't actually be done in gameplay]].
* DeflectorShields: Can create these with his MJOLNIR armor.
* {{Invisibility}}: With the active camouflage, he can conceal himself in light-bending energy, making it seem like he's invisible.
* LaserBlade: Energy sword.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Brothers in Arms'' from Halo, ''Last of the Brave'' from Halo 3, and ''Leonidas'' from Halo 2 play during his analysis.
* LimitedLoadout: He can only carry two weapons at once. In the fight, he exchanges weapons he finds on the ground when he needs them.
* ParryingBullets: Using the Energy Sword, he blocks some of Doomguy's chaingun bullets.
* PlasmaCannon: Master Chief's organization united and traded weaponry, giving John access to the Sangheili Plasma Pistols and Rifles.
* PowerArmor: His MJOLNIR armor further enhances his strength and speed, has a DiegeticInterface, and is equipped with DeflectorShields. The armor proves to one of his main edges as only Doomguy's heavier weapons can punch through it.
* RocketlessReentry: He was only holding onto a piece of metal when he fell from space back to Earth. Despite this, he was still able to continue fighting.
* SpaceMarine: A futuristic one.
* TheStrategist: Being in so many wars, he's an expert battle strategist.
* StickyBomb: The Plasma Grenades attach to enemies before blowing up. Master Chief tosses one from his Bubble Shield and it does Doomguy in.
* SuperSoldier: As of his Death Battle debut, he defeated 3 armies multiple times, defeated an entire space armada single-handedly, and saved the world twice.
* SuperSpeed: Can run 50 MPH.
* SuperStrength: Enough to toss a Warthog easily.

* AttackAttackAttack: His preferred way of taking down groups of enemies is going in, guns blazing.
* BagOfHolding: He carries a backpack that holds all his weapons using experimental warp technology. This allows him to switch weapons on the fly.
* {{BFG}}: He wields the TropeNamer. The ultra-powerful "gun" fire huge blasts of plasma and the resulting explosion can kill anyone near. However, Master Chief gets out without a scratch after unleashing his Bubble Shield.
* BioAugmentation: With the various serums and powerups he's used over the years, he's become stronger and faster than a normal human.
* BottomlessMagazines: Boomstick theorizes that his pistol uses the same warp technology used to hold all of Doomguy's weapons.
* ChainsawGood: One of his weapons; oddly enough, it's never used during the actual fight.
* DiscOneNuke: His strongest gun is the Unmaker, which tears through even the mightiest demon-like paper. The keyword is "demons" though, as it feeds off of evil energy. Since it would be useless against Master Chief, he doesn't use it in the fight.
* GatlingGood: His chaingun, though it isn't very effective to use against body armor.
* HammerSpace: [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] in that he's using experimental warp technology to store every last one of his weapons until needed for action.
* HumiliationConga: Think getting [[GroinAttack hit in the nads]] and later caught off-guard and gibbed by a plasma grenade isn't bad enough? Too bad, teabagging time!
* InvincibilityPowerUp: With the [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Invincibility]] powerup. He's able to resist Chief's Rocket Launcher and Sniper Rifle.
* {{Invisibility}}: Can become invisible with the Partial Invisibility powerup.
* HyperSpaceArsenal: Literally has one, allowing him to carry a massive amount of weapons and ammo.
* IDontPayYouToThink: His Sargent's attitude when Doomguy was appalled upon witnessing him kill innocent bystanders. In response, Doomguy killed him.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Main Theme'', ''E2M2 - The Demons from Adrians Pen (Orchestral Mix)'', and ''E1M2 - The Imps Song'' from Doom play during his analysis.
* LudicrousGibs: Becomes one with the chunky salsa by one of Master Chiefs' plasma grenades.
* OhCrap: His reaction right before he's gibbed by a plasma grenade.
* OneManArmy: Singlehandedly foots the armies of hell three times.
* PlasmaCannon: Carries a quick-firing Plasma Gun.
* PowerArmor: He wears the Megaarmor, which is two times stronger than security armor and can shake off plasmablasts.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Deliberately went back to Hell to avenge his pet rabbit, [[RidiculouslyCuteCritter Daisy]], after she was killed by demons.
* StandardFPSGuns: Aside from the mentioned in their own tropes, he also carries a rocket launcher that holds up to 50 rockets.
* SeeTheInvisible: Can see invisible enemies, which is why Chief's active camouflage couldn't work on him.
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: Not only is it powerful, but the range of his Shotgun is so vast, it's almost like he doesn't have to aim. The Super Shotgun one-ups this by firing 20 pellets compared to the normal one's 7.
* SpaceMarine: A closer to contemporary than Master Chief.
* SuperSpeed: He can outrun his own rockets but isn't a SuperSoldier like Master Chief.
* ToHellAndBack: After killing his Superior, he was transferred to a mission on planet Mars which contained a portal to Hell. He was the only hope of keeping Hell's demons at bay.
* UnstoppableRage: When using the Berserk powerup, his strength increases.
* WalkingArmory: Carries a multitude of weapons all at once.

* AirborneMook: Buzz Bombers are bee-like robots that can shoot from their thorax while hovering in the air.
* ArtificialStupidity: The Shadow Androids have complex A.I. that over-analyzes enemies in close combat situations, causing them to misfire.
* BitchSlap: Beta [[ParryingBullets deflects projectiles]] this way. He uses it more traditionally against a group of Bladers.
* CameraAbuse: E-101 Beta knocks a Blader into the camera.
* ChestBlaster: Metal Sonic uses his chest laser to blow up Napalm Man's body.
* CombinationAttack: Mecha and Silver Sonic destroy two Hotheads with a double Spin Dash attack.
* CompositeCharacter: Silver Sonic combines attributes of two different Sonic robots seen in VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2 and it's [[VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog28Bit 8-bit counterpart]]. The sprites used for it were taken from the former game, while it being powered by a Chaos Emerald comes from the latter game.
* CurbStompBattle: Metal Overlord utterly destroys the remaining fighters.
* CyberCyclops: Beta is this, having only one eye.
* EliteMooks: The Badniks, EggRobo, Silver Sonic, Mecha Sonic, Mecha Knuckles, E-101 Beta MKII, and Shadow Android, are stronger than your average robots.
* EvilGenius: Eggman makes all these robots for his EvilPlan.
* EvilKnockoff: Eggman created various robots based on Sonic (and one on Knuckles). Metal Sonic even copied Sonic's speed, [[RollingAttack Spindash,]] and [[AlwaysAccurateAttack Homing Attack]].
* DarkHorseVictory: Wiz and Boomstick were perplexed trying to determine a winner, so they just went with Metal Sonic/Metal Overlord as the victor.
* DeathFromAbove: EggRobo drops a bomb to destroy some Mets.
* DeflectorShields: Metal Sonic's Black Shield. He got more than one power from the Robot Masters by first blocking their attack with it, then copy it in the process.
* TheDragon: Hyper Metal Sonic, Eggman's ultimate creation that was created to exceed Sonic's abilities.
* EpicFlail: One of Egg Mobile's weapons is a giant wrecking ball-like flail. Bass easily breaks it off.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Metal Sonic's PowerCopying abilities essentially makes him an evil [[VideoGame/MegaManClassic Mega Man]] if he went Maverick. Guess what he does to every robot character along with the [[ThreeLawsCompliant doctors]] once he's hit with [[TheVirus Roboenza]].
* FragileSpeedster: Motobugs are quick, but being Sonic's answer to TheGoomba, they can be easily disposed of.
* GlassCannon: SWAT Bots have are well-rounded, but are very fragile.
* GoldfishPoopGang: Scratch and Grounder may be Badniks, but they're your typical Saturday morning cartoon villains. They try to catch Sheep Man in a BigBallofViolence, but he escapes and kills them.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Metal Overlord kills Eggman in the end and he also kills Wily.
* HomingProjectile: Mecha Knuckles and Beta have rockets and missiles that have this property.
* HumongousMecha: He went into battle with his Death Egg Robot, which specializes in its [[RocketPunch Rocket Arm]] attack.
* TheJuggernaut: Metal Overlord. Bass tries and fails to stop him, and when he's full-formed the first thing he does is vaporize Bass. Then he goes for Eggman and Wily.
* JokeCharacter: Scratch and Grounder are here for laughs.
* KamehameHadoken: Beta can fire laser beams that cover a wide range, and fires multiple in the fights to take out Wily's lesser mooks.
* KillerRobot: All of Eggman's robots, but Metal Sonic, in particular, was designed with taking Sonic down in mind.
* {{Leitmotif}}: "Dr. Robotnik's Theme" from ''WesternAnimation/SonicTheHedgehogSatAM'', "Robotnik's Theme" from ''Sonic 3'', and remix of the boss theme and his theme from ''Sonic 3'' play for his analysis. Metal Sonic gets his own theme during the rundown as well, "Final Boss" from ''Sonic CD''.
* LethallyStupid: The Egg Pawns aren't the brightest crayon in the box. One of them even accidentally blows up another Egg Pawn in the fight.
* LivingBattery: He uses living animals to [[PowerSource power his robots.]]
* MadScientist: The hosts note that Eggman's personality has ranged from comically mad to dangerously psychotic.
* MechaMooks: The infantry used in battle are Moto Bugs, Caterkillers, Buzz Bombers, Egg Pawns, and SWAT Bots.
* MightyGlacier: Silver Sonic is this unless it has its Chaos Emerald.
** Mecha Sonic is slower than Silver Sonic but is stronger. Eggman designed him to focus on firepower.
* MorallyAmbiguousDoctorate: The analysis mentions that his [=PhD=] is unknown and probably fake.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Everyone thanks to Metal Overlord's Roboenza-fueled rampage.
* NoSell: Metal Sonic's Black Shield is completely impenetrable and protects him from anything.
* OffWithHisHead: Scratch and Grounder's heads are blown off thanks to Sheep Man's electric powers. The heads land on the opposite bodies (Scratch's head on Grounders' body, and vice-versa).
* OmnicidalManiac: Metal Overlord kills all the remaining fighters, and quite possibly the rest of the world.
* OneWingedAngel: Metal Sonic turns into Metal Overlord and uses the new power to kill everyone.
* {{OverDrive}}: Metal Sonic can overload his systems to use his Maximum Overdrive attack. This creates an energy force around his body that can break through anything.
* PlayingWithFire: The immobile Hotheads attack by throwing fire.
* PowerSource: Many of Eggman's robots are powered by living animals.
** Silver Sonic's power comes from a Chaos Emerald.
* PowerCopying: Metal Sonic's deadliest power. Since each Robot Master is vulnerable to another's weapon, a few scans and a Chaos Emerald were all Metal needed to bulldoze every Master who got in his way, even Bass.
* PreMortemOneLiner: Neo Metal Sonic right before going Overlord.
-->'''Neo Metal Sonic:''' Kneel before your master.
* RobotMe: Metal Sonic, Mecha Sonic, Silver Sonic, Mecha Knuckles, Shadow Androids, and to a lesser extent, Egg-Robo. Metal Sonic in particular succeeds in being faster than the original.
* RocketBoots: Metal Sonic uses these to fly.
* RuleOfThree: Shadow Androids attack in groups of three.
* SequentialBoss: Metal Sonic takes Silver Sonic's Chaos Emerald to turn into Neo Metal Sonic. Under the effects of Roboenza, he then absorbs the Egg Fleet and turns into Metal Overlord.
* SignatureTeamTransport: His Egg Mobile is an antagonistic example. It's his main mode of transport and can connect with almost all of his machines.
* SplitPersonality: Wizard considers [[WesternAnimation/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehog Eggman's]] [[WesternAnimation/SonicTheHedgehogSatAM different]] [[Anime/SonicTheHedgehogTheMovie personalities]] over the years to be the result of a personality disorder.
* TheStarscream: There has been multiple times where Metal Sonic overthrows Eggman to kill Sonic. This happens when Metal Sonic is infected with Roboenza, going made and destroying everyone else.
* SuperMode:
** Metal Sonic < Neo Metal Sonic < Metal Overlord. The last of which trumps even Super Bass and every other fighter on the field.
** Mecha Sonic also has a golden Super form but it's never seen in the fight.
* SuperSpeed: Metal Sonic, who can easily reach up to Mach 5 speeds in his regular form alone.
* TakeOverTheWorld: Being a typical villain, he wants to turn Sonic's world into a global empire.
* {{Teleportation}}: Beta appears on the battlefield by teleporting.
* WalkingArmory: Despite their stupidity, Egg Pawns have a wide arsenal, wielding [[ShieldBearingMook shields]], [[JoustingLance lances]], and [[RayGun laser guns]].
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Mecha Knuckles only lasts a few seconds after he appears in the fight, being promptly destroyed by Guts Man.

* AlwaysSecondBest: His colleague, Dr. Light, was always revered for his inventions, while Wily was left in the dust. [[ThenLetMeBeEvil Because of this, Wily used his robotics to achieve power and be acknowledged for his abilities.]]
* AnimalMotifs: Sheep Man was created to herd sheep.
* ArmCannon: Similar to Mega Man, Bass's main weapon is the Bass Buster.
* BackToBackBadasses: Metal Man and Slash Man when they first appear; they take out 6 of Eggmans mooks together.
* BlobMonster: The Yellow Devil
* BloodKnight: Bass expresses ''excitement'' at the sight of Metal Sonic absorbing a Chaos Emerald. Neo Metal Sonic and Metal Overlord quickly show him how misplaced that feeling was.
* BowledOver: A Paozo does this to knock over a group of Motobugs.
* TheBrute: Wily reprogrammed Guts Man to be the muscle of his army.
* CurbStompBattle: His Mooks make quick work of Eggman's, who then calls out his [[EliteMooks Badniks]] who are then curb-stomped by Wily's Robot Masters, but then Metal Sonic shows up!
* DeadlyDisc: Metal Man's saw blades. Metal Sonic kills him with them [[HoistByHisOwnPetard after he copies the attack when Metal Man tried it on him]].
* DenialOfDiagonalAttack: Metal Man's Metal Blades avert this, he's able to through them in any direction.
* TheDragon: Wily's greatest creation is a robot named Bass, who was created to be an imitation of Mega Man.
* EliteMooks: Wily's Robot Masters, Guts Man, Metal Man, Slash Man, Magnet Man, Sheep Man, Napalm Man, and Pharaoh Man.
* EvilGenius: Wily makes all these robots and he also created a disease that affects only robots.
* FusionDance: Using the Super Adaptor, Bass and Treble can combine to create Super Bass.
* GoForTheEye: Yellow Devil's weak point is his eye. Metal Sonic drops one of Napalm Man's bombs on it to do him in.
* GrievousHarmWithABody: Guts Man throws a Moto Bug at Mecha Knuckles, destroying him.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard:
** After infecting Metal Sonic with his Roboenza virus, Metal goes rogue and kills everyone, including Wily himself.
** Metal Man is destroyed with his Metal Blades hurled back by Metal Sonic.
* HomingProjectile: Magnet Man's Magnet Missiles home in on opponents.
* HumongousMecha: Wily uses the Wily Machine 8. It gets destroyed by Metal Sonic, but after it was revealed to be piloted by a dummy, Wily then shows up in VideoGame/MegaMan9's dinosaur version of the Wily Machine.
* {{Leitmotif}}: The arranged version of ''Castle of Evil'' and ''Wily Machine'' from Mega Man 9, plays for Wily's analysis. The Robot Masters get ''Gutsman'' from Mega Man Iwao Arranged and Bass gets his theme from Mega Man 7.
* LethalJokeCharacter: Sheep Man does some damage to [[JokeCharacter Scratch and Grounder]] since he has offensive capabilities.
* LogicalWeakness: Wily's Robot Masters are weak to certain attacks, though his army is designed for flexibility and to cover their bases.
* LongRangeFighter: Wily's robots attack while keeping their enemies at bay.
* LoyalAnimalCompanion: Bass's loyal robot dog, Treble, always fights by his side. They can even [[FusionDance fuse together]] to create Bass's stronger form, Super Bass.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: Pharaoh Man can protect himself from Mecha Sonic using his Eye Shield.
* MadBomber: Napalm Man ''loves'' explosions. He once created his own weapons museum, just to blow it up.
* MadScientist: Unlike Eggman, Wily has the same level of mad sanity though-out his appearances but it's driven by his rivalry with Dr.Light.
* MechaMooks: Mets, Sniper Joes, Bladers, Hotheads, and Paozos make up the backbone of the army.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Everyone thanks to Metal Overlords' Roboenza fueled rampage.
* NoSell: The Mets' hard helmets protect them from any attack.
* PowerCopying: Bass can copy the abilities of those he defeats.
* {{Pride}}: Bass is one of Wily's most powerful creations, but he is arrogant about his abilities. He seeks out [[BloodKnight strong opponents]] and will disobey Wily if he thinks Wily's orders hold him back.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Boomstick says you can tell Metal Man was created to kill things because of his red eyes.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Wily tries to bail when he sees Metal Sonic go on a rampage. Keyword "tries".
* ShieldBearingMook: Sniper Joes carry shields that they can hide behind before shooting.
* SignatureTeamTransport: Wily uses the Wily Capsule, hidden away in the Wily Machines. It makes a screeching sound, much to Boomstick's annoyance.
* ShockAndAwe: Sheep Man has lightning powers.
* SuperMode: Bass and [[CanineCompanion Treble]] can perform a FusionDance to become Super Bass. While it might have stood a chance against [[SuperMode Neo Metal Sonic]], he couldn't even scratch [[OneWingedAngel Metal Overlord]], who kills him without batting an eye.
* SuperStrength: Guts Man can lift over two tons.
* VictoriousLoser: He might have ended up dying and 'losing' to Eggman in this battle, but Zero, his ultimate creation, ultimately avenges him by handily defeating Metal Sonic in their battle.
* TakeOverTheWorld: Wily's ambition is to use his robots to control the world.
* TeleportSpam: Pharaoh Man has this ability.
* {{Unobtainium}}: Bass is powered by Bassnium a powerful energy source.
* VacuumMouth: Paozos can suck up large balls with their trunks before launching them.
* TheVirus: Roboenza turns Metal Sonic into a maverick. Before it can infect anyone else, Metal Sonic kills everyone.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Yellow Devil can morph and take its body apart as a weapon.
* WalkingArmory: Napalm Man is armed to the teeth with bombs and missiles.
* WeaponsThatSuck: Magnet Man's [[DeflectorShields Magnet Shield]] can draw enemies in.
* WolverineClaws: Slash Man.
* WorthyOpponent: Bass sees Metal Sonic as such. When they actually come to blows, Metal proves ''more'' than worthy, curb stomping him almost as easily as the other Robot Masters in his Neo Metal Sonic form, and Metal Overlord destroys Super Bass without so much as batting an eye.

* ActionGirl: She often helps Link defeat Ganon and can hold her own in a fight.
* BarrierWarrior: The spell 'Nayru's Love' protects her from harm. [[AttackReflector She uses it to reflect Peach's projectiles at her.]]
* CatFight: Starts a slap fight with Peach.
* CompositeCharacter: She is all the previous Zeldas.
* CosmicKeystone: Zelda possesses the Triforce of Wisdom, giving her powerful magic to eliminate evil.
* CripplingOverspecialization: She's very powerful magically but the majority is either not for direct combat or for defeating evil. Against another heroine, she loses much of her arsenal.
* DamselInDistress: Particularly in the early Zelda games. On the plus side, it does help convince Link to aid her.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Subverted, she has little experience using blades and prefers to use her bow and arrow.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Zelda's Lullaby (Orchestrated)'' from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and ''Ballad of the Goddess'' from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Swordplay during her analysis.
* LightEmUp: She uses Light-based magic. She also has Light Arrows which are only really effective against evil, so it does not affect Peach
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: The ninja Sheik and the pirate Tetra are disguises for the spell-casting princess Zelda and so all of their skills are available to her as a princess. However, she doesn't use any of these in her fight against Peach, which is a dramatization. The skills are still included in the result.
* OffWithHisHead: Her head is pulverized by Peach's Megastrike.
* PlayingWithFire and {{Fireballs}}: Din's Fire, which she frequently spams in the fight.
* PraetorianGuard: Zelda is powerful, but she usually avoids physical confrontation, relying on her guards, Link, or Impa to do most of the "dirty work".
* PrettyPrincessPowerhouse: Her high degree of magical power is tied to her status as a princess and [[KickingAssInAllHerFinery she fights in her royal dress]].
* PrincessesRule: Hyrule does have a king, but she's the one who makes all the royal decisions.
-->'''Boomstick:''' "Talk about a control freak. And why do they let her get away with it? I mean she's lost her kingdom to the forces of evil more times than I can count!"
* RescueSex: Subverted, obviously. That's going to be the last thing on Nintendo's mind, after all. The fact that Link doesn't get a "reward" disappoints Boomstick.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: She ruled her kingdom all her life, [[{{Reincarnation}} (or lives, rather)]] but has experience fighting with different weapons and had fought alongside Link in multiple final battles.
* SecretIdentity: In Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker, she used her magic to disguise herself as the ninja Sheik and the pirate captain Tetra.
* SilkHidingSteel: An elegant woman, but she is still determined to protect her kingdom, whether it be on the battlefield or commanding from afar.
* SquishyWizard: Not totally un-athletic, but her physical abilities are easily outclassed by her magic and she doesn't play as many sports as Peach.
* TeleportSpam: Her magic spell Farore's Wind, allows her to get around the battlefield quickly.
* YourHeadASplode: It was kicked by an Empress Peach Megastrike

* ActionGirl: She is playable in 39 of her 57 games and the hosts note she has more combat experience than Zelda.
* AssKicksYou: One of her moves is striking with her rear end. Boomstick is amazed that something explodes when she does it.
* AttackReflector: After Zelda reflects her Sleepy Time sheep at her, Peach uses her parasol to knock it in the air.
* BarrierMaiden: Her ability to dispel evil magic is the actual reason why Bowser kidnaps her.
* BondOneLiner: Mockingly asks "Did I ''win?''" after [[LudicrousGibs pulverizing Zelda's head.]]
* CatFight: She engages in Zelda's slap fight, but uses her Heart Power to get an opening.
* ChekhovsSkill: The Sleepy Time sheep gets knocked into the air and seemingly forgotten about. However, it crashes down on Zelda later in the fight, giving Peach the opening she needed to win the fight.
* ConfusionFu: Has a really quirky moveset; One minute she tossing turnips at you, the next she's hurting you by having a giant hissy fit.
* DamselInDistress: One of the most well-known in gaming, being kidnapped over a dozen times.
* DestinationDefenestration: Her first appearance is being thrown out a window. She is apparently fine from that.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Was thrown out a window during Zangief and Haggar's fight; fifteen episodes later she becomes a combatant.
* EmotionalPowers: She was given the ability to use emotion-based powers after touching the [[VideoGame/SuperPrincessPeach Vibe Scepter]]. She increases her speed and makes puddles of tears when sad or can make an invulnerable fire shield when angry.
* ForcedSleep: Her magic spell Sleepy Time creates a non-sentient sheep that causes enemies that touch it to fall asleep. It lands on Zelda near the end of the fight, leaving her open to Peach's Megastrike: Empress Peach kick.
* FryingPanOfDoom: She's pretty experienced in putting a frying pan to good use.
* GreenThumb: Can pick up turnips wherever she is standing.
* HeartBeatDown: With her Heart Power, she can use her emotions to manifest power and this includes a heart wave.
* IKnowMaddenKombat: A lot of her physical skills come from her history of playing sports with her friends. It's where her ace move Mega Strike: Empress Peach comes from.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Uses turnips, an umbrella, a tennis racket, and a frying pan to fight.
* KungFuWizard: She supplements and augments her magic with athleticism. It's especially notable with her Megastrike which she used to end the fight and decapitate Zelda.
* {{Leitmotif}}: "Princess Peach's Castle" from Super Smash Bros. Melee and "Peach's Theme" from Mario Strikers Charged play during her analysis.
* NoSell: When sufficiently enraged she can become temporarily invulnerable.
* NotQuiteFlight: Can use her magic to float in the air.
* ParasolOfPain and ParasolParachute: She has a living parasol that can do both of these and more, but she only uses her regular one.
* PlayingWithFire: Her Rage Vibe creates a large flame to protect her.
* PowerGivesYouWings: In her Empress Peach form.
* PrincessesPreferPink: In contrast to Zelda, her outfit is always pink; from the princess gown to the soccer uniform.
* PrettyPrincessPowerhouse: She is a lovely and friendly pink princess who can beat down enemies with a parasol.
* ProneToTears: After getting smacked in the face by her own turnips, she activates her [[EmotionalPowers Gloom Vibe]].
* RescueSex: Again, she's from a kid-friendly Nintendo game, so it's subverted. [[AllMenArePerverts Que Boomstick complaining about princesses not "putting out".]]
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: She's always willing to lend Mario a helping hand. She's both fought alongside him and sent him items to help him in his quest.
* SilkHidingSteel: She's both kind and classy, but is surprisingly powerful in both physicality and magic skills.
* StayInTheKitchen: While she is proven to be a force to be reckoned with, Boomstick introduces her by saying she spends her time getting kidnapped and "baking cakes in the kitchen like any good woman should."
* SuperCuteSuperPowers: The femininity of her powers are emphasized with [[HeartSymbol pink hearts]] and [[EverythingsBetterWithSparkles sparkles.]]
* SwissArmyTears: Her Gloom Vibe tears can stun enemies or make floors slippery.
* WhiteMagicianGirl: Her Heart Power abilities in Mario RPG mainly focus on healing and buffing herself and her allies.

!![[Franchise/MarvelUniverse Thor Odinson]]
--->'''Thor''': ''"Next?"''\
\
''Prince of Asgard''

* AchillesHeel: He doesn't have it anymore, but in the old days of comics, he could lose his powers if separated from his hammer. Since the modern version doesn't have this weakness, he's able to hurl Mjolnir at Raiden as much as he pleases.
* AmplifierArtifact: Megingjord, the Belt of Strength, increases his already massive strength.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: He's the God of thunder, strength, healing, and... [[OddJobGod Oak trees]].
* BatmanCanBreatheInSpace: Being a living god, the vacuum of space is no challenge for him.
* BlowYouAway: One of his abilities. He conjures up a tornado in the fight.
* ChargedAttack: Can charge up electricity before releasing it as a powerful blast.
* DishingOutDirt: He has some control over the earth, and can create earthquakes.
* DivineParentage: He's the son of two Elder Gods, the All-Father and Earth's Elder Goddess.
* ElementalPowers: The God of Thunder is obviously adept at electricity, but he also has control over wind and the earth,
* EmpathicWeapon: Mjolnir is bound to Thor and obeys his commands.
* FlightStrengthHeart: Flight, Strength, Elemental Control, Communication with Frogs.
* HurlItIntoTheSun: He tosses Raiden's remaining (and apparently still alive) half into a star to make sure he's dead.
* ImpossiblyCoolWeapon: Not only is Mjolnir awesomely destructive, but even its creation is astounding, being forged from the core of the dying star that killed the dinosaurs.
* InstantFlightJustAddSpinning: In the fight animation, he flies by rapidly spinning his hammer.
* LargeHam: His dialogue consists of audio from ''VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3'' so his presence is large.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Sons of Odin'' and ''Prologue'' from the 2011 Thor movie play in his analysis.
* NighInvulnerability: His godly heritage allows him to survive the heat of the sun or a planet exploding.
* NoSell: Is immune to poison, burns, and electricity. The latter is one reason for his victory, it renders most of Raiden's attack useless.
* OnlyTheChosenMayWield: Thor is the only one who can wield Mjolnir.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: He's smashed planets by hitting them with Mjolnir.
* PhysicalGod: Hails from the Norse Pantheon. The Marvel version is the offspring of two Elder Gods.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: Manly Man to Raiden's Sensitive Guy. He likes to get into fights and settles things through fists and hammer blows rather than diplomatic methods.
* ShockAndAwe: He's the God of Thunder. Guess what element he likes to use?
* SmugSuper: He's proud of his strength and family legacy, though thanks to his ego he sometimes overlooks possible dangers.
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: Oddly enough, one of his abilities is that he can talk to frogs.
* SpectacularSpinning: Can spin his hammer to fly and deflect Raiden's lightning attacks.
* SummonToHand: No matter how hard Thor chucks his hammer, it returns to him like a boomerang.
* SuperBreedingProgram: He was bred to be a strong warrior.
* SuperSpeed: He can move at supersonic speeds.
* SuperStrength: He can lift upwards of a million tons. He can even overpower the Hulk.
* ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks: One of his methods of attack is simply throwing his hammer at his foes. The fact that it returns to his hand always helps.
* YellowLightningBlueLightning: Yellow, to distinguish him from Raiden, despite most versions of the character preferring blue lightning.
* WeatherManipulation: As the God of Thunder, Thor can control wind and lightning.

* ArtisticLicensePhysics: Can channel electricity through insulated wood.
-->'''Boomstick:''' [[LampshadeHanging "Take that, physics!"]]
* BigGood: One of the key players in protecting Earthrealm from Shao Kahn's forces.
* BroughtDownToNormal: He originally became an Elder God, but gave up this power to protect Earthrealm.
* ChargedAttack: He manages to release a burst of electricity that's strong enough to stun Thor.
* ColdEquation: He's willing to sacrifice others for the safety of the people of Earthrealm.
* CripplingOverSpecialization: Heavily reliant on his lightning powers. Lacking anyway to combat Thor outside thunder powers means he can't do any real damage to him.
* EatsBabies: In the original Japanese mythology, Raiden was said to eat the stomachs of sleeping children.
* EnergyAbsorption: He absorbs Thor's electricity and uses it to launch himself upward to reach Thor in the tornado. Unfortunately for him, he ends up in the right position for Thor to smash his lower body off.
* {{Flight}}: He also uses it in his special move Electric Fly.
* GodInHumanForm: He takes a non-ethereal human form to take part in the Mortal Kombat competitions.
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: Gets the lower half of his body ''obliterated'' by Thor's hammer.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Mortal Kombat theme song ( metal version )'' by Owl Ride and ''Mortal Kombat - Rayden "Eternal Life" (Instrumental Metal cover)'' by RoseScythe play during his analysis.
* MagicStaff: He prefers using hand-to-hand combat, but has occasionally used a staff that he can somehow channel lightning through.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: His lower half is destroyed by Thor's hammer, and his upper half burnt to ash by the sun.
* OneSteveLimit: The first, but not [[VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance the only]] combatant to be referred to by the name Raiden.
* PhysicalGod: He is a servant of the elder gods and chosen to watch over Earth Realm. His body is, for all Death Battle intents and purposes, [[GodInHumanForm mortal and killable]] but his extensive power is still there.
* {{Reincarnation}}: He can reincarnate if his human form dies.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: Sensitive Guy to Thor's Manly Man. He prefers using careful planning and strategies, rather than brute force like his opponent does. It's even reflected at the end of their analysis, Thor's end with a masculine shot of him fighting Frost Giants, while Raiden's end with a shot of {{Bishounen}} actor laughing then saying sorry.
* ShockAndAwe: As a God of Thunder, his main offensive ability is lightning power, and he can use electricity to power up his fighting abilities.
* SpeakingSimlish: The Mortal Kombat characters in the original games spoke total gibberish when attacking. Boomstick jokes Raiden does this because his electricity overloaded his brain.
* SuperStrength: Can easily slam through solid concrete.
* TeleportSpam: He uses it to dodge Thor and sneak attack.
* YellowLightningBlueLightning: Blue. Best shown when Thor fires a (Yellow) Lightning bolt at him, which he redirects, turning it blue in the process.
* YourHeadASplode: Raiden's discharges so much electricity in his Electric Decapitation fatality that their heads explode. He tries it on Thor, but the big guy's immune to electricity.
* WeatherManipulation: Has control over the weather, particularly lightning, due to being a thunder god.

[[folder:Link VS Cloud (2012)]]

--->'''Link''': ''"Hyaah!"''\
\
''The Champion of Hyrule''

* AnnoyingArrows: Cloud swats his normal arrows away like a bunch of flies. The Ice Arrows didn't have much effect either, due to Cloud's Ribbon.
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: His smarts are a major asset, with his Z-Targeting ability enabling him to deduce an enemy's weaknesses fairly quickly. Cloud's predictable fighting style never stood a chance.
* BadassNormal: Part of Wizard and Boomstick's analysis states that, in comparison to Cloud the SuperSoldier, Link is just a guy with a lot of tools. These tools, such as the gauntlets and boots, match those superhuman abilities and level the playing field.
* BeatThemAtTheirOwnGame: Finishes off Cloud by evading the final blow of his Omnislash Version 5, then pulling off his own version courtesy of five bombs and a falling down thrust.
* BattleBoomerang: A frequent ranged weapon of Link through the ages.
* CompositeCharacter: Of all the previous Links.
* CoolSword: The Master Sword, [[VillainBeatingArtifact a magical blade created to slay demons]]. It's more than effective against Cloud, whose body is injected with [[EldritchAbomination Jenova cells.]]
* CosmicKeystone: Wields 1/3 of the Triforce, the Triforce of Courage. It shows his ability to overcome difficult odds.
* CripplingOverspecialization: The analysis notes that Link at times is too reliant on his equipment to fight skillfully. In the fight, this trope comes to play when he blindly throws a boomerang at Cloud, giving the latter the chance to disarm him. This is quickly subverted, however, when the boomerang comes back to paralyze Cloud, giving Link enough time to get the Master Sword back.
* {{Determinator}}: Triforce of Courage, natch.
* EnergyAbsorption: Absorbs one of Cloud's Thundagas and uses it to power up a Skyward Strike.
* {{Foil}}: To Cloud. Both are blonde, spiky-haired swordsmen who are among the most famous characters made by the video game industries and wield magical powers. Link prefers strategies and tactics, while Cloud prefers brute force. Link uses a sword and a shield to counterbalance the strength and weaknesses of either weapon, while Cloud uses one big sword that specializes in raw physical force. Link uses a variety of equipment, while Cloud uses a variety of Materia. Link got his powers through a Deity, while Cloud got his through experiments. Finally, Link got his skills through raw experience, while Cloud had actual combat training.[[note]]Though, ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaSkywardSword'' shows that the first Link ''did'' at least practice his swordsmanship first.[[/note]]
* GrapplingHookPistol: His Hookshot can grab foes and items, or he can use it to maneuver around large areas
* HumbleHero: Humility is explicitly described as one of his virtues.
* HyperspaceArsenal: Aside from his sword and shield, he also carries bow and arrows, boomerangs, grappling hooks, magical boots, etc. However, most of these tools are used for exploration rather than combat. Link uses them to great effect against Cloud, who mostly relies on swordplay and has no reliable counter against them.
* JackOfAllStats: Focuses on exploiting an enemy's weakness, but has the weakness of not specializing in anything. The former proves to be enough for him to win.
* {{Leitmotif}}: A remix of the Legend of Zelda theme, ''A Link to the Past - Hyrule Castle - Orchestrated'' by ZREO, and ''Staff Roll'' from VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaSkywardSword play during his analysis.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: His indestructible Hylian Shield remains intact even against the strongest attacks. Combined with the Golden Gauntlets negating the sheer force of Cloud's attacks, this plays a major role in his victory.
* MadeOfIndestructium: The Hylian Shield cannot be destroyed. Obviously, Cloud's most powerful attacks all fail to even dent it.
* MagicKnight: Can mix and match magical attacks with his weapons.
* MasterSwordsman: Thanks to his reincarnations, Link possesses the accumulated knowledge of the previous Heroes of Hyrule, including their sword fighting skills. His sword is even called the Master [[CoolSword Sword]].
* TheParalyzer: The Boomerang can stun foes, and in the fight allows him to grab his knocked-away sword.
* ParryingBullets: Uses his sword to deflect Cloud's Thundaga attacks.
* {{Reincarnation}}: There have been multiple Links throughout the Zelda franchise, each one reborn with the Spirit of the Hero, who is destined to battle Ganon. In Death Battle, he has the experience of all previous Links.
* ScreamingWarrior: He's normally mute, after all.
* SprintShoes: The Pegasus Boots make him faster. In the battle, these allow him to run fast enough to run up a pillar.
* SwordBeam: Can fire laser beams from his sword at full health. His Skyward Strike does the same thing if he's already taken damage.
* SuperReflexes: His various targeting systems from the 3D games are explained as an uncanny ability to follow the movements of fast opponents and react intelligently and efficiently to them, such as an Instant180DegreeTurn. Link can counterattack while being bombarded by Cloud's Omnislash Version 5 thanks to this and opening the combo that ends the match in his favor.
* SuperSpeed: The Pegasus Boots increase his speed.
* SuperStrength: A variation. His Golden Gauntlets (or really any equivalent item from the Zelda games) do not increase the power of his sword attacks but enable him to lift incredibly large objects. Rather than giving more power to his arms, they simply negate any force, like gravity, that is exerted on his arms (and, by extension, the rest of his body). Combined with [[MadeOfIndestructium the Hylian Shield]], he has no trouble blocking Cloud's attacks even taking into account Cloud's tremendous striking power.
* ThrowDownTheBomblet: Has carried around different bombs over the years. He uses ordinary ones to launch Cloud in the air for the final strike.
* VillainBeatingArtifact: The Master Sword is a holy weapon that was created to destroy evil. Cloud isn't evil, but his Jenova cells make him susceptible to it.
* WalkingArmory: Every Link carries a wide assortment of weapons. This one brings his Master Sword, boomerang, bombs, bow and arrow, Hookshot, Golden Gauntlets, Pegasus Boots, and Hylian Shield.

\
''Guardian of the Lifestream (and Orphans)''

* AnimeHair: He's got pretty spiky hair. Boomstick states Cloud's in need of a haircut.
* ArmorOfInvincibility: His Ziedrich armor halves the damage he takes.
* AttackAttackAttack: His main strategy is straight-forward power. It's also predictable and simplistic.
* {{BFS}}: He uses the trope image; Buster Sword. Cloud's strength allows him to swing it much faster than a normal human. Thanks to his shield and quick reflexes, Link blocks it and creates an opening to go in for the kill.
* BladeSpam: Omnislash Version 5.
* ColonyDrop: He can summon a rain of meteors with the Meteorain Limit Break.
* CoolSword: The Buster Sword, given to him by his dead friend Zack, is a six-foot blade that allows Cloud to cast Materia spells.
* DeadPersonImpersonation: His subjection to MAKO gave him the memories and abilities of his dead friend Zack.
* DeathFromAbove: Both Meteorain and Omnislash Version 5 are airborne attacks.
* FinishingMove: Attempts to use the Omnislash Version 5 to end the fight and loses.
* {{Foil}}: To Link. Finally, Link got his skills through raw experience, while Cloud had actual combat training.
* EmoTeen: He's moody, and can channel his emotion into powerful attacks called Limit Breaks.
* GeneticEngineeringIsTheNewNuke: Obtained his superhuman abilities by being injected with Jenova cells. Given that Jenova cells are evil by nature and the Master Sword was created to vanquish evil, this puts him in a severe disadvantage.
* HarmlessFreezing: Thanks to his ribbon, Links' ice arrows only encase him for a moment before he bursts out unharmed.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: The Omnislash Version 5 was supposed to finish off Link. Instead, it leaves Cloud defenseless for Link's final attack.
* HonorBeforeReason: ''[[Anime/FinalFantasyVIIAdventChildren Advent Children]]'' shows that Cloud has what looks like Shinra's entire surviving Materia stock in a suitcase, and Yuffie has anything else that's shown up since then, but he chooses not to use it because of its nature. Wiz and Boomstick take this into account during the pre-battle analysis; his armour is the slotless Ziedrich, and he only has the two Materia that'll fit into his Buster Sword's slots, Firaga (which he was seen using in ''Dissidia'') and Thundaga (RuleOfCool).
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: He's shrugged off being stabbed before. Unfortunately, Link's Master Sword is too much for him.
* LEGOGenetics: Infused with Jenova's cells, increasing his strength but having a toll on his psyche. Because his enhanced strength comes from an evil origin, despite not being evil himself, Link's Master Sword is more effective across the board than it would be normally.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''Mako Reactor'' and ''Opening Theme, Bombing Mission'' from VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII play during his analysis.
* LimitBreak: He activates his Limit Breaks by channelling his anger. He uses [[TheParalyzer Cross Slash]], Climhazzard, [[ColonyDrop Meteorain]], and [[BladeSpam Climhazzard]] in the fight. Climhazzard proves to be the only one effective against Link, as he easily dodges Cross Slash and tanks Meteorain and Omnislash, while Climhazzard can disarm him for a short time.
* MagicKnight: With the help of Materia, condensed Mako energy, he can cast spells in addition to swinging his Buster Sword.
* NoSell: His Ribbon makes him immune to status effects, like burns and freezing.
* PlayingWithFire: His Firaga materia.
* PowerFloats: He mostly moves around the battlefield by floating above the ground.
* PowersAsPrograms: Cloud can equip Materia, condensed MAKO, to his Buster Sword to give him special abilities. He prefers to use [[PlayingWithFire Firaga]] and [[ShockAndAwe Thundaga]]
* RealMenWearPink: The Ribbon may be pink and girly, but it protects him from status effects. This unfreezes him after being hit by one of Link's Ice Arrows.
* ShockAndAwe: His Thundaga materia.
* SuperSoldier: He has the power of a Shrinra's First Class SOLDIER due to being infused with JENOVA cells and Mako.
* SuperStrength: His mako poisoning makes him much stronger than a normal soldier. In particular, he's cut through skyscrapers and defeated powerhouses like Bahamut SIN and Sephiroth.
* SwordBeam: His Blade Beam Limit Break.
* TraumaCongaLine: Grew up as a kid who aspired to join the SOLDIER private army. He then gets rejected as he was told he was too weak, witnessed his town get burned down by his childhood hero, was forcefully subjected to [[LifeEnergy MAKO poisoning]], and watched his best friend die in front of him. It's no wonder he seems so moody.

!![[Anime/PokemonTheSeries Ash Ketchum's Pikachu]]
--->'''Pikachu''': ''"Pikachu!"''\
\
''Ash's First Pokémon''

* BadassAdorable: Pikachu is one of the cutest Pokémon in existence. He's beaten legendary Pokémon, developed new fighting techniques, and is one of the toughest of his kind.
* BlushSticker: How his cheeks appear. They actually serve a purpose, storing his electricity in his cheeks.
* CombatParkour: Was able to avoid Blanka with his Mid-Air Spin Dodge.
* CompositeCharacter: In the anime, the strength of Ash's Pikachu tends to [[StrongAsTheyNeedToBe fluctuate depending on each episode]], but overall, he's exceptionally TheAce of his species. Here, his strength level is limited to the games along with RealLife size differences.
* DavidVersusGoliath: The David to Blankas' Goliath. This is a bad thing, as his small size means he lacks the strength and stamina necessary to keep up with Blanka.
* DeathOrGloryAttack: Volt Tackle is Pikachu's most powerful attack, but he receives 33% of the damage dealt in recoil damage. [[{{Anticlimax}} When he clashes with Blanka, Blanka just grabs him and eats him.]]
* EnergyBall: Electro Ball, which does more damage the slower an enemy is.
* EnergyAbsorption: He can absorb electricity that's not his own and use it against his foes
* ExtraOreDinary: He bashes his foes with his hard-as-steel Iron Tail attack.
* FirstFriend: The first Pokémon owned by Ash Ketchum.
* FlashStep: His Quick Attack gives him a burst of speed as he slams into opponents.
* FragileSpeedster: He's quick and agile on his feet, but has low stamina and physical strength.
* GlassCannon: Explicitly described as such because he's a small electrical rodent. Notably, his Defense and Special Defense are below average. Additionally, since Blanka is naturally resistant to electricity and 6 times taller, Pikachu's offensive abilities could not deal enough damage to Blanka.
* HonorBeforeReason: He refuses to evolve into the vastly superior Raichu, due to a pretentious excuse of love and acceptance.
* {{Leitmotif}}: ''The Matter's Settled'' from {{Franchise/Pokemon}}, ''Pokemon Champion Red Remix'' by [=MeanGreenLuigi=], and ''Gotta Catch Em All'' by Walt Ribeiro play during his analysis.
* LivingBattery: Described as such by Wiz with his ability to store more electricity than a normal Pikachu. On the other hand, it can turn deadly if he overcharges.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Whole body eaten by Blanka.
* OffWithHisHead: Blanka bites his head off.
* ShockAndAwe: Two pouches on his cheeks store and fire electricity, with his trademark attack being Thunderbolt.
* TookALevelInKindness: He was pretty arrogant in the first ''Pokémon'' episode and didn't listen to Ash during battles. It wasn't until Ash protected him from a flock of Spearow that he realized how much his trainer cares for him.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: As detailed in his background information, it's ketchup.
* UndyingLoyalty: Since he's been part of Ash's team the longest, he's obviously the most loyal to him.

--->'''Blanka''': ''"Heh heh... hehehehehe!"''\
\
''The Man-Beast of Brazil''

* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: His skin turned from a pale white to a bright green. His body absorbed the chlorophyll from the plant life he used to camouflage himself.
* BouncingBattler: Blanka's main technique is to bounce all over the place using his Beast Roll attack, which he discovered during [[VideoGame/StreetFighterII the second world warrior tournament]].
* CannibalismSuperpower: Supposedly, he gained the ability to shock foes after years of eating electric eels.
* DavidVersusGoliath: The Goliath to Pikachu's David. This is to his advantage as it means he has greater strength and stamina and reach.
* EatingTheEnemy: How he kills Pikachu.
* EyePop: Occasionally does this when hit.
* GentleGiant: Due to his mentality, he is gentle, even meek, towards others. [[RageBreakingPoint If he knows he's threatened, however, his primal instincts awaken as he lashes out.]]
* {{Leitmotif}}: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBDTMA_hQi4 Blanka theme - Metal Cover]]
* ManChild: He was separated from his mother when he was a child, and he never grew up mentally. Essentially, he's a big, green kid.
* MommasBoy: Being separated from his mom just made his love for her stronger.
* NoSell: Ate so many electric eels to the point that he can resist electric attacks.
* OddFriendship: When he returned to civilization, he befriended Dan Hibiki, "the absolute worst Street fighter on Earth".
* {{Robinsonade}}: Away from civilization, he became a WildMan to adapt to living in the jungle.
* ShockAndAwe: Acquired through many years of devouring electric eels. He releases electricity with the Electric Thunder attack or Shout of Earth special move.
* SpinAttack: His Beast Roll attack launches Blanka spinning through the air. The Grand Shave Roll is an enhanced version of this, as he charges up and rolls toward foes. His ultimate attack, Lighting Cannonball, combines this with ShockAndAwe.
* SoleSurvivor: Blanka was the sole survivor of a plane crash in the Amazon, and was forced to survive in the wild.
* TaughtByExperience: Blanka has hunted small animals since he was a kid and also lived off a diet of mostly electric eels. Naturally, he had little trouble dealing with Pikachu, a tiny mouse Pokémon who uses electricity as his main method of attack.
* UnskilledButStrong: He was never really formally trained- his only real training came from Dan- but his beast-like strength from living in the Amazon made him Brazil's choice for the World Warrior tournaments. His strength was enough to overpower Pikachu's weaknesses as a GlassCannon.
