[[folder:Lisa Hamilton / La Mariposa]]

[[caption-width-right:1000:La Mariposa as she appears in ''Dead or Alive 5 & 6'']]
->''Everything is within estimated tolerances.''
->''I am the exotic butterfly.''

->'''Origin:''' USA
->'''Fighting style:''' Lucha libre
->'''Voiced by:''' [[note]]Creator/MaayaSakamoto (JP), Masasa Moyo (EN, ''Xtreme 2''-''Dimensions''), Creator/WendeeLee (EN, ''5''-current)[[/note]]

----

->A ''luchadora'' who made her first official appearance in ''Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball'', and made her fighter debut in ''Dead or Alive 4''. As a former scientist for the Dead or Alive Tournament Executive Committee, Lisa has a mysterious, shadowed past that has not fully come to light yet, and has links with many others, despite being relatively new to the series.

->Curiously enough, although she usually shows a very mysterious, even suspicious, personality, her behaviour changes dramatically when she adopts her La Mariposa persona. In those moments, her behaviour is very similar to Tina's, who she's best friends with.
->Lisa spends most of the time in the 5th tournament working on Donovan's plot. However, on seeing Hayate in danger of repeating the process of Project Epsilon, she changed her mind and ended up cancelling the process. Shortly after the ninjas fought the latest Alpha clone, the lab blew up, possibly along with Lisa. However, producer [[WordOfGod Yohei Shimbori]] has confirmed that she survived.

------
%%* ActionGirl
* AllThereInTheManual: Her profile in the original Xtreme manual alluded to her being the head of a research facility, but that fact wouldn't become relevant to the series until ''4'', and not obviously until ''5''.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Thanks to her shifting skin tone, her specific ethnicity is hard to pin down.
* AnimalMotif: Her default ''luchadora'' costume and her new one in 5 have masks that resemble a butterfly. [[MeaningfulName Wonder why...]]
* AssKicksYou: Her back-turned strike, Nalgada Tecnica, and her back-turned throw, Butt Slam.
* TheAtoner: Feels remorse for the chaos and strife she caused while working under Victor Donovan and wants to make him pay.
%%* BadassBookworm
%%* BewareTheSillyOnes
%%* BrainyBrunette
* CanonImmigrant: Lisa first appeared in ''Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball'', a spin-off to the original series. She made her debut as a fighter in ''Dead or Alive 4''.
* ChekhovsGunman: First appeared in ''[=DOA:XBV=]''.
* DanceBattler: Her style is a mix of wrestling and UsefulNotes/{{capoeira}}.
* DiamondsInTheBuff: Her most expensive swimsuits in the ''Xtreme'' series are jewelry concealing her where it matters most, and a couple of them also appear among her costumes in ''[=DOA5=]''.
%%* EnigmaticMinion
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Tina.
* HotBlooded: When she shows her La Mariposa persona.
* ImprobableAge: It's implied she's been a key member of both Project Epsilon and Project Alpha for quite a long time now. The latter eventually created the most perfect bio-weapon known to man. Lisa's current age? '''[[YoungerThanTheyLook 23]]'''.
%%* MaskedLuchador
* MeaningfulName: Well, meaningful alias. "La Mariposa" is Spanish for "the butterfly".
* NiceGirl: When she first appeared in ''DOAXBV'', she was the original version of [[Characters/DeadOrAliveXtremeVenusVacation Misaki]]: she helped guide the player around the island and was the friendliest girl to have as a volleyball partner.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: When she displays her cheerful, BookDumb MsFanservice La Mariposa persona, you wouldn't believe she's actually a scientist with a dark and mysterious past. Of course, that's the whole point.
* ReluctantMadScientist: She works for Donovan, yes, but she's far from amoral or an EvilutionaryBiologist. She actually took pity on Hayate during Project Epsilon and helped engineer his escape, and also set up the Mugen Tenshin's attack on the DOATEC Tri-Towers in ''4''.
* TheMole: It turns out she's been on Helena's side the whole time, acting as her informant within MIST.
* TheReveal: La Mariposa's ending in ''4'' has her make a wild dodge away from a fellow wrestler's claws and lose her mask in the process, revealing her to be Lisa Hamilton from ''Xtreme''.
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: Along with Tina and Christie, she had the skimpiest swimsuits in the series for years. The infamous ''Venus'' swimsuit was originally hers.
%%* SheFu
* StatuesqueStunner: 5'9".
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Her La Mariposa persona tends to wear outfits that show a lot of skin.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Fitting her double nature she likes Apple Pie as La Mariposa, but Cherry Pie as Lisa.
* VillainProtagonist: In ''4''. She confronts Hayate at DOATEC and he confirms she was the one who gave him amnesia, and thus, by implication, was a member of Project Epsilon.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: She is seemingly crushed to death by falling debris at the end of ''5'', but it's left ambiguous. Come ''6'', Lisa is alive and well, although she did suffer injuries from the incident and had to undergo rehabilitation to heal. She is also revealed to be TheMole for Helena all the way back since the story of ''2'', having never been on Donovan's side at all.
* {{Workaholic}}: She works as both a scientist and a luchadora.

[[folder:Eliot]]
[[quoteright:1000:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eliot_1.png]]
[[caption-width-right:1000:Eliot as he appears in ''Dead or Alive 6'']]
->''I'll defeat anyone!''

->'''Origin:''' England
->'''Fighting style:''' Xing Yi Quan
->'''Voiced by:''' [[note]]Junko Minagawa (JP), Rolland Lopez (EN, Dimensions), Creator/DavidVincent (EN, ''5''-current)[[/note]]

----

->A high school student and the apprentice of Gen Fu. He is a student of Xing Yi Quan, studying and training under his master's teachings. Eliot is the youngest male character in the series so far, he was 16 years old in his debut for ''[=DOA4=]'', but in ''[=DOA5=]'' he's 18 years old.

------
* TheApprentice: To Gen Fu, who is his [[TheMentor mentor]].
* BadassLongCoat: One of his alternate outfits in ''5''.
* BattleButler: A DLC costume in 5 turns him into this, which plays very well off of tag partner Marie Rose's maid outfit.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Eliot is very polite and friendly. He can also knock your ass across a whole stage with a single punch.
* BritsLoveTea: Being a Brit, he really likes his tea.
* ButtMonkey: To both Brad Wong and Christie in ''[=DOA5=]''. The latter making a game of [[MyEyesAreUpHere teasing the boy]] only to crush his hopes.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In ''[=DOA4=]'' Eliot seemed like a fairly confident fighter, from his quotes no other combatant inspired doubt, or fear on him. Privately, however, he has concerns if he's worthy of his apprenticeship with Gen Fu. In ''Dimensions'' Eliot is seen before the events of ''[=DOA4=]'', where he is depicted as very polite, but very unsure of his abilities. Ayane's talk with him seems to snap him out of it. By the end of ''[=DOA5=]'' story mode, he becomes more confident in his fighting skills, and Gen Fu proclaims he'll be taking Eliot's training to the next level.
* ChickMagnet: Played with, as most of Eliot's meaningful cutscene interactions are with the opposite sex. Of the nine possible {{Tag Team}}s he can be part of, seven of them are with women: Ayane, Marie Rose, Leifang, Kokoro, Hitomi, Christie, and Honoka. But he only has ShipTease with Ayane and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPdoHk5SWdI briefly with Hitomi]] in [=DOA5=].
* DistractedByTheSexy: Falls victim to it in part 5, when [[TheTease Christie]] catches him staring down her cleavage. So she leads him on for a bit, before dashing his dreams with a hearty laugh.
* TheDitherer: In ''Dimensions'', he's a good and powerful student, but hesitates on the threshold of progress, not just at Gen Fu's indication it's time for Eliot to replace him, but even something like facing an unfamiliar style; Ayane, intending to give him a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech, accidentally gives him a BrightSlap instead. By ''[=DOA5=]'' he's made enough progress in both willpower and mentality [[{{tsundere}} to turn Ayane's head]], but he still hesitates to measure just how far he's come until Brad convinces him to enter the fifth tournament.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: In ''4'' and ''Dimensions'', [[http://www.fightersgeneration.com/np7/char/doa-dimensions/2/elliot-screen.jpg see for yourself]]. [[http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/229/3/2/eliot_by_utsukushisachan-d5bgxif.png he gets better]] in ''5'', thankfully.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: His dynamic with Christie, and other girls, in his debut appearance, ''[=DOA4=]'', was the complete reverse of what turned out to be in every following entry, even prequels like ''Dimensions''; in ''4'' Eliot was the one boldly making a casual advance on Christie, which she laughs in appreciation for his unshaken assertiveness. Everything since, however, has portrayed Eliot as consistently being more reserved and shy around Christie, something she gladly teases him about it.
* EndearinglyDorky: He's easily flustered during his conversations with most of the girls. Hitomi, in particular, causes him to flinch when she playfully growls at him before their spar in 5.
* {{Expy}}:
** [[Manga/HunterXHunter Of Kurapika Kurata]].
** With the [[Manga/AttackOnTitan Attack on Titan]] costume pack in ''Last Round'', he could be a [[https://www.eventhubs.com/imagegallery/2016/jul/23/attack-titan-gallery-1/4/ dead ringer]] for [[http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/shingekinokyojin/images/2/21/Armin-Chara_Design.png/revision/latest?cb=20130327112206 Armin Arlet]].
* FirstNameBasis: He refers to Ayane, Leifang, and Hitomi by their first names, while referring to every other woman as "Miss".
* ForkFencing: His opening scene in ''[=DOA5=]'' features him and Brad getting into a duel over the last piece of dinner, escalating from chopsticks to straight-up martial arts in a scene that was almost certainly influenced by ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda''.
* GrewASpine: Inverted. He gets an EarlyBirdCameo in ''Dimensions'' indicating he used to be TheDitherer before he met Ayane.
* {{Guyliner}}: He wears black nail polish for one of his costumes in ''Last Round''.
* HeroesPreferSwords: He's shown wielding a ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niuweidao niuweidao]]'' (a type of Chinese saber) in promotional art for ''4'', but it's never seen in-game except for his training during his ending.
* IntergenerationalFriendship: Seems to have this with Brad.
* LikeBrotherAndSister: With Gen Fu's granddaughter Mei Lin.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: Zigzagged. He ''has'' muscle mass, but not nearly as much as the other men, and often wears clothes that are as likely [[ClarkKentOutfit to obscure his arms]] as expose them entirely. Nonetheless, his (comparatively) weaker physique doesn't stop him from knocking much larger people 20 feet away. Justified by his combat style, Xing Yi Quan, which is famous for its ability to [[WeakButSkilled generate and deliver powerful blows]].
* NiceGuy: He's one of the friendliest out of the male cast, and always speaks in a respectful tone towards anyone he meets.
* NotEvenBotheringWithTheAccent: While other European characters have an accent to match their native country, Eliot sounds about as British as a native Los Angeleno. The incongruence is compounded by the fact that fellow Brit Christie ''is'' voiced with an applicable English accent.....
* OddFriendship: With Brad Wong. Eliot didn't ask the drunk to come along, but he still cooks dinner for two.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: He's only 5'6" and 121 lbs but has no problem launching people twice his size across the stage. In game, his model is only taller than Ayane's, Marie Rose's, Honoka's, and NiCO's, the shortest characters in the game.
* PrettyBoy: So damn pretty that a a fair few of his costumes have gone out of their way to make him downright androgynous.
* ShipTease: With multiple girls.
** He has a fair amount with Ayane, starting in ''DOA Dimensions'' when he stunned her into revealing her {{Tsundere}} side by getting Brad Wong off her back. Further implicated by their tag team interactions in ''[=DOA5=]'' and 6. Their team intro has her smile as she high-fives him, but when he tries again during their victory animation, she smirks and turns her back to him instead. She then notes that he's improved, which gets a grin out of Elliot.
** Because she was a late addition to ''[=DOA5=]'', Marie Rose and Eliot only interact in tags, but the game portrays them emphatically as BirdsOfAFeather, with their simultaneously polite introduction pose, particularly confident victory pose[[note]]Which is a side of Eliot only rarely seen[[/note]], and even their shared interest in ''milk''. In ''[=DOAX3=]'', Marie Rose's favorite instrument is the harmonica, which just so happens to be Eliot's instrument of choice.
%%** The fandom often includes Kokoro in this, though they haven't really interacted outside of having tag team throws.
%% This isn't a valid example yet, but is only commented out until something more concrete materializes.
* SupremeChef: He's introduced in ''[=DOA5=]'' preparing quite the spread for dinner, with just a little pizazz... and then [[BigEater he and Brad wolf everything down in seconds]].
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Brad in ''5'''s story.
* TookALevelInBadass: In ''[=DOA5=]'' he gets to the tournament semi-finals and becomes more confident in his fighting skills. Also, gameplay wise he's a more powerful character than in ''[=DOA4=]'' and ''Dimensions''. By the time of ''[=DOA6=]'', he is now capable of using his master Gen Fu's fighting style (Xinyu Liuhe Quan), which is considered the advanced form of his own fighting style (Xing Yi Quan).
* WalkingTheEarth: In ''[=DOA5=]'' he's on a journey to see how far he's come as a martial artist. Brad goads him into taking part in the fifth tournament to see how far he's come.
* WearingAFlagOnYourHead:
** Well, chest -- his second outfit in ''5'' includes a t-shirt emblazoned with the UK's Union Flag. His fourth outfit is the same without the coat or hat.
** Downplayed with his standard martial arts gear in ''5'', which comes in the red, white, and blue of his country's flag.

[[quoteright:1000:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kokoro_1.png]]
[[caption-width-right:1000:Kokoro as she appears in ''Dead or Alive 6'']]

->'''Origin:''' Japan
->'''Fighting style:''' Ba Ji Quan
->'''Voiced by:''' [[note]]Creator/AyakoKawasumi (JP), Kathryn Feller (EN, ''Xtreme 2''-''Dimensions''), [[Creator/HeatherHoganWatson Heather Watson]] (EN, ''5''-current)[[/note]]

----

->A "maiko" (Apprentice {{Geisha}}), and Ba Ji Quan martial artist. She is the illegitimate daughter of Fame Douglas and one of his former mistresses Miyako, making Kokoro the half-sister of Helena Douglas. It is possible that if Helena were to give up her control of the Dead or Alive Tournament Executive Committee, Kokoro would be next-in-line to take control.

------
* ActionGirl: She enjoys martial arts more than her geisha training.
* ApologeticAttacker: One of her taunts even involves her politely bowing to her opponent, apologizing out of respect.
* BadassAdorable: She packs one hell of a punch, but you can't stay mad at someone who innocently advises you "put some ice on [it]" afterwards.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: She's a sweet young lady who rivals Kasumi in terms of a kind heart, but do ''not'' get on her bad side by patronizing her, disrespecting her, or keeping her in the dark about things, as Helena soon learned, or she will beat you down to kingdom ''come.''
* BlindIdiotTranslation / LostInTranslation: Her winquote of the Bushido proverb ''Hana wa sakuragi, hito wa bushi.''[[note]]Amongst flowers the cherry blossom, amongst men the warrior.[[/note]] has been translated into simply "Cherry blossoms and warriors", making her sound like saying random gibberish and more cuckoo to Westerners lost in Far Eastern sayings.
* ButNotTooForeign: She and Helena have the same father, making her half-Japanese and half-Caucasian. Kokoro isn't aware of this herself until the events of DOA6.
* CherryBlossomGirl: Not as blatant as Kasumi, but cherry blossoms are a big part of her trademark kimono's motif, and Team Ninja usually portraits her in settings with cherry trees in bloom as well. Couple that with her Japanese traditional black hair and YamatoNadeshiko personality.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: ''[=DOA5=]'' indicates her to lack a certain amount of situational awareness. In the famous Tokyo scene, she completely misses the fact that a car crashes directly behind her but when Lisa bumps into her and doesn't apologize, ''that's'' serious. A few days later, she has an encounter with Jann Lee, he tosses a pair of nunchucks at her; she fails to realize they're for her and lets them shatter pottery, and then proceeds to ask him why he did that.
* CoyGirlishFlirtPose: Does one when as part of her win pose when she wins alongside her big sister Helena in 5.
* CuteBruiser: Her fighting style was based off of Akira's from ''VideoGame/VirtuaFighter''. Which makes for an interesting scenario when Akira himself challenges Kokoro to a duel in ''5''.
** On a side note, Kokoro's innocent and demure appearance and Kyoto accent [[YouRemindMeOfX would remind Akira of Aoi]]….
* DanceBattler: Often coined as the "Baji Dancer" in-universe.
-->'''Kokoro:''' "Behold my Ba Ji dance!
* DullSurprise: Her reaction to the calamity caused by the lower level of the "Scramble" stage during Story Mode is, at best, confused. She ducks down and covers her head but at no point does she seem like she entirely grasps what she's supposed to be afraid of. Feeds into her {{Cloudcuckoolander}} tendencies above.
* {{Geisha}}: She's a maiko (geisha-in-training).
* JackOfAllStats: Her strength, defense and speed are pretty balanced. Her assets come more form her fighting style, which has a pretty unique rhythm compared to the other characters (except perhaps Genfu and Eliot).
* JigglePhysics: Certainly not uncommon in the series, but the amount of bounce in her tank top costumes is absurd. [[https://gfycat.com/poorsneakyhackee She definitely needs a new bra, because she isn't getting her money's worth out of her current one.]]
* KickingAssInAllHerFinery: In a ''kimono,'' no less!
* LadyOfWar: A demure young lady trained in the deadly art of Baji Quan.
* OddFriendship: With ''Zack'', of all people. His inexplicable cameo in her ''[=DOA4=]'' ending has yet to be addressed, but according to ''[=DOA5=]'' he's known her for ten years. They even end up sparring in ''[=DOA6=]'' in preparation of the upcoming tournament, to which Kokoro is grateful to him for.
* PaintedOnPants: Painted-on ''shorts'', to be more accurate, [[https://i.gyazo.com/ac4ac0dcba1bd4276f5dee599e5f51c4.png but her shorts in her tank top costumes are so tight, they have very defined pantylines showing.]]
* PurelyAestheticGlasses: She wears eyeglasses twice during the story mode of ''5'', but doesn't really seem to have much use for them.
* RavenHairIvorySkin
* SilkHidingSteel: She gets arguably the fanciest costume in the entire game with her maiko kimono, which she wears incorrectly to allow a greater range of movement. Don't be fooled if you don't want to get your ass kicked. Just sayin'.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anmitsu Anmitsu]] and [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_bean_soup shiruko]], desserts fitting her sweet demeanor.
* UnknownRelative: Though not unknown to the audience. In ''[=DOA6=]'', [=NiCO=] hands Kokoro a childhood picture of herself and Helena as children alongside an adult man, mystifying Kokoro and then angry thereafter when NiCO begins to speak of Miyako, Kokoro's mother. She later confronts Helena on this matter, who reluctantly informs her that to Kokoro's horror, her father is Fame Douglas, the man behind DOATEC's nefarious schemes in the past, making Helena her half-sister. Angered, she demands to find her mother and hear the truth out of her lips herself, but Helena interferes before she can set foot, and the two sisters engage in battle. Kokoro is victorious, and feeling betrayed, she leaves Helena behind, who wistfully begs her to stay, being the only family member Helena has left in this world. Kokoro looks back grimly, and it is not clear if two have reconciled or not.
* VagueAge: Left unknown in the international versions, but is 17 years old in the Japanese version. With the 2 year time-skip in ''[=DOA5=]'', she's now 19.
* YamatoNadeshiko: Being a maiko, she is at the very least training for being this. And her looks already qualify, especially when she's in that fancy kimono. Even more during her ending in ''4''.

----

->The main final boss in ''Dead or Alive 4'' and the final product of Project Alpha. Based on the DNA of Kasumi, it was originally a normal clone dubbed Kasumi Alpha that was created by Victor Donovan and the Dead or Alive Tournament Executive Committee. During the second phase of the project, Project Alpha-2, Alpha's genes were modified, resulting in her being transformed into a powerful inhuman creature. Alpha-152 was supposed to go on to be the ultimate fighter and to be a great weapon for DOATEC, but the plan failed after the Mugen Tenshin clan invaded DOATEC's headquarters.

->She once again serves as the last boss in the story mode of ''5'', however, due to Ryu Hayabusa's involvement, Alpha gains the ability to shapeshift into him, as well as Ayane and Hayate after fighting them. In the end, she's defeated once and for all by Kasumi.

->For tropes about her as Kasumi Alpha see [[Characters/DeadOrAlive2 here]]

------
* AchillesHeel: Despite being one of the most powerful characters in the series bar none, Alpha-152 ''does'' have a couple a couple of glaringly-major weaknesses. First, many of her completed strings leave her locked in a state of suspended animation, meaning she has ''terrible'' recovery time on them. This forces her to be very careful when committing to said strings, because if she goes all in and fails she's left wide open for retaliation. Secondly, her defensive options are very bad, as her counters merely teleport her to a new location rather than actually dealing daamge to her opponents. This will happen ''a lot'' the instant she loses her momentum, forcing her to wait until she can get an opportunity to strike again and requiring very quick reaction time on the player's part once they notice they've successfully landed one of her counters.
* AlternateCompanyEquivalent: Can be seen as one to ''VideoGame/VirtuaFighter'''s Dural; both the product of a shadowy organization's experiments to create the perfect SuperSoldier, both based on the kidnapping of a female ninja, both have BarbieDollAnatomy, speak in VaderBreath, act as the FinalBoss, DarkActionGirl...it's really easier to list how they're different. Whereas Alpha seems to be made of energy or some kind of translucent substance and is a GlassCannon gameplay wise, Dural is a ChromeChampion and likely weighs a ton. Alpha also isn't bald.
* AwesomeButImpractical: One of her critical bursts leave her in float stance on hit. This gives her a free dive for pitiful damage and lets her switch sides, unless your timing is perfect.
* BarbieDollAnatomy: For obvious reasons, because she's the only one who fights fully nude.
* DarkActionGirl
* TheDreaded: According to series' canon, Alpha 152 is so overwhelmingly powerful that even ''[[OneManArmy Ryu Hayabusa]]'' has to exercise caution when approaching her. The events of [=DOA4=] validated his concerns when Ayane and Hayate (the latter being stated as Ryu's equal) tried to fight her. 152 [[OneHitKO defeated both of them]] [[TheWorfEffect easily]], ''in the same instant''.
* EnergyBeing: Her default appearance is a translucent green silhouette of Kasumi.
* EvilCounterpart: To Kasumi, as the strongest and most advanced of DOATEC's clones. Since Kasumi is an AllLovingHero, Alpha 152 was ''programmed'' to be her polar opposite and feels nothing but hatred for the world and everyone in it.
* FinalBoss: Of arcade mode in [=DOA4=] and 5.
* FullFrontalAssault: As previously noted, she's a being of pure energy, sans nipples or discernible genitals. Therefore, clothing is meaningless. However, [=DOA5=] shows she can project some semblance of clothing if she chooses. One of her alternate "costumes" is a silhouette of Kasumi's highschool uniform, complete with a pleated skirt.
* GlassCannon: If she hits you on hi-counter, prepare to lose over half your health bar, even on largest. However, if you knock her down, good luck to her on getting up and staying up. Of course, this isn't the case against [[TeleportSpam her]] [[TheComputerIsACheatingBastard AI]].
* HurricaneKick: Done as a barrage of standing roundhouse kicks.
* KickChick: Roughly half her moves set are high speed kicks, much like Zack's. One involves a consecutive series of somersault kicks, while another is a barrage of {{roundhouse kick}}s. But she has powerful single strike kicks as well, such as a back kick that deals 1/3 dmg. and sends the opponent flying across screen.
* KilledOffForReal: At the end of ''[=DOA5=]'', she is destroyed for good by Kasumi. Her legacy, however, lingers on in the form of Phase-4, the completed, mass-produced byproduct of the research conducted on her.
* LightningBruiser: The usage of her TeleportSpam and her hard-hitting attacks means she can be hard as hell to pin down.
* OhCrap: The reaction of pretty much every single character who sees her.
* SecretAIMoves: [[TeleportSpam Teleports from neutral]] and her sidestep in ''[=DOA5=]''.
* {{Shapeshifting}}: In the last stage of 5, she alternates between transforming between Kasumi and Hayabusa. In the final battle against Kasumi, she'll also shift into Ayane and Hayate.
* SNKBoss: Alpha 152 is easily the series' fastest character, in terms of movement, attack speed, and reaction time. The same is true in regard to her attack ''power'', as even her single strikes can deal 1/3 dmg. or higher on a regular hit, and almost 1/2 dmg. on a counter hit. She teleports constantly and can even teleport ''[[TheComputerIsACheatingBastard as she's being hit]]'' to escape combos. All of which makes it infuriatingly difficult for the opponent to even find an opening against her. Even when she was brought back and rebalanced as a secret, tournament-legal character in ''5'', she was still very powerful, losing virtually nothing of what made her strong as a boss in ''4''.
* SupermodelStrut: Oddly enough, one of her victory poses has her walking with a slow deliberate strut.
* SuperSoldier: The end result of Donovan's Project Alpha.
* TeleportSpam: Moreso than even Kasumi. Alpha 152 can teleport freely around the ring at any time, including mid-combo, or even as she's being hit. And, if 152 gets knocked down, she can instantly teleport away from her opponent to escape "wake-up" pressure.
* VaderBreath: When she does vocalize, it sounds like this.
* YouAreNumberSix: Implied by her name. The cutscenes from and the ending of ''[=DOA5=]'' seem to indicate that there is more than one Alpha and that she's simply number 152 of a series.

->A ''Franchise/{{Halo}}''-based guest character created in collaboration with Creator/{{Bungie}} for ''Dead or Alive 4''. A UNSC [[SuperSoldier SPARTAN-II]] operative, Petty Officer 2nd Class Nicole-458 was aboard Nassau Station when it was caught within a spacetime anomaly that sent it all the way back to the 21st century. In battle, she is always garbed in her MJOLNIR PoweredArmor, masking her physical appearance.

------
* ActionGirl: As much as the rest of the girls in the series, if not moreso due to being a super-soldier.
* AllThereInTheManual: Nicole is implied to be of Filipino ethnicity, making her the first (and so far only) fighter of her kind on the roster. This can be picked up through some clues in her bio. For example, her birth place on Mars is listed as New Legaspi ("Old" Legaspi being a real city in the Philippines) in the country of Katagalugan (referring to the [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tagalog_Republic Tagalog Republic]]). For bonus points, Katagalugan's other known city is called New Manila. Also, she likes the dessert [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo-halo halo-halo]]. However, you can't infer anything from what you see in the actual game.
* BioAugmentation: Through a highly dangerous process that dramatically enhanced her strength, speed, durability, eyesight, and reflexes. It's also the reason why she's 6'8" even when unarmored.
* ChildSoldier: The Spartan-[=IIs=] were "recruited" (read: kidnapped) as six-year olds and sent out to the field by their early teens.
* ContinuityNod: Several details of her backstory (including how she managed to time travel) directly reference the ''VideoGame/{{Halo 2}}'' AlternateRealityGame ''ARG/ILoveBees''.
* DistaffCounterpart: A female Spartan who does NOT appear in the ''Halo'' games; Team Ninja [[WhatCouldHaveBeen originally wanted to include the Master Chief himself]], but Creator/{{Bungie}} told them that he was [[VideoGame/{{Halo 2}} a little busy]] [[VideoGame/{{Halo 3}} with other matters]], so the two studios created Nicole instead.
* TheFaceless: Just like her inspiration.
* FlintstoneTheming: Most of her move names are ''Halo'' references.
** Hell, even her ''favorite food'' is halo-halo.
* FunWithAcronyms: She has a move called "'''D'''ead '''O'''n '''A'''rrival"[[note]]The initials are the same as those in ''Dead or Alive'', in case you were still wondering[[/note]].
* GuestFighter: Kind of. Nicole herself is not a character that appeared in any ''Halo'' media but her armor is the same as the Master Chief's -- and since that's pretty much all we ever see of him, the armor itself could be seen as the GuestFighter. Word of both Bungie and [[Creator/ThreeFourThreeIndustries 343i]] is that she's based on a canon Spartan, but no further details have been revealed so far.
* HiddenDepths: [[AllThereInTheManual Apparently]] enjoys watching anime.
* InvisibilityCloak: Can activate her active camouflage by taunting; for obvious CompetitiveBalance reasons, this doesn't actually render her invisible in-game, just translucent while still remaining perfectly visible to the players.
* LooseCanon: When asked if Nicole was considered canon to the ''Halo'' series, Bungie and 343i have both replied that she ''is'', but her guest appearance in the ''Dead or Alive'' series ''isn't''.
* PoweredArmor: MJOLNIR Mark-VI.
* SpaceMarine: Though she's technically a Navy NCO.
* TheSpartanWay: She's had intense military training since childhood.
* TimeTravel: She's in the present (along with the space station she was guarding) due to some slipspace disturbance.
* TokenWholesome: The ''only'' female character in the DOA franchise who shows no skin and doesn't have a sexualized look in any way whatsoever.
%%* TrademarkFavoriteFood: [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo-halo Halo-halo]].
* StickyBomb: Her plasma grenades.
* SuperSoldier: Same type as the Chief himself.
* WillfullyWeak: She only uses non-lethal force because she's aware of how one death in the past can change the future.
