7The home of the main cast in the ''Date A Re:Live'' series, home to the main character, his family and his harem. Originally a small home belonging to Kotori Itsuka and her family that the Takamiya siblings lived in as permanent guests, but upon Shido and Tohka's reunion and his discovery of the Spirits that are kept secret to the world, it was remade into a place where they and all the Spirits they could call home. The house is a large and spacious mansion with the appearance of an apartment, it also connects to the secret Ratatoskr base of Tenguu City so they can always reach it if an emergency comes up.

17!Shido Takamiya
18->''"Know this, I'm not like every other human!"''
19
20The protagonist of ''Date A Re:Live''. A 16-year old amnesiac High School Freshman who learns the truth of the Spacequakes when he runs too close to the blast radius of one in an attempt to find his little sisters when they accidentally lose their phones, causing him to believe neither of them evacuated to a shelter. With this one encounter, Shido unknowingly reunites with his childhood friend Tohka who's somehow become a Spirit, and soon learns the truth of the Spirits and the evil ambitions of the DEM.
21
22With the power to seal the Spirits, Shido and his friends all join the Ratatoskr organization in rescue them all by making them fall in love with him and bringing them into his overgrowing harem. Along the way, he has to help a mysterious being that communicates through him named Mio, later revealed to be an aspect of his mother, Rinne Sonogami, while slowly learning why [[MysteriousPast his and Mana's lost memories are linked to the Eurasian Sky Disaster of 30 years ago.]]
23
24----
25%% * AdaptationalBackstoryChange: In canon, he was born as a result of Mio Takamiya trying to revive her lover Shinji Takamiya, his previous "incarnation", who died protecting her. Here, Shido was born from the union between a human and a Spirit before the first Spacequake happened.
26* AdaptationalCurves: Not him, but his AttractiveBentGender form Shiori who's bust line is measured at 95cm like Reine's.
27* AllYourPowersCombined: His Double Spirit Ascension and Triple Spirit Ascension let him use multiple Spirit Powers at once, even fusing their Angels for more powerful attacks.
28** His Harmonic Convergence attack combines the power of all the Spirits he's sealed together in one massive sword strike. Unfortunately, he can only use it while in his Over-Limit Spirit Ascension, making it a last resort.
29* AmnesiacHero: Other than his sister Mana, Shido doesn't remember anything about his life before the Itsuka family allowed them to live in their home. By the Kurumi arc's end, he still has amnesia but now knows of his parents and origins, and regains all his lost memories at the end of the Rinne arc.
30* AttractiveBentGender: As Shiori, especially since due to Natsumi being present by the time of Miku's arc, he doesn't need to cross dress and is actually a girl when he visits Miku as his female counterpart. Natsumi even mentions after transforming her this is what Shido would look like as a girl. The author even reveals that sealing Natsumi has given him the passive ability to transform into Shiori freely, and that she will be showing up often.
31* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: During a trip to shop for bathing suits in Kotori's arc, Shido comments there will never be a Spirit that's into other girls he'll have to deal with... and then he meets Miku. This forces him to be transformed into a girl by Natsumi just to get Miku to bother talking to him.
32* ChildhoodFriends: With Tohka, since they were seven years old. The butterfly ribbon Tohka wears is even a gift he gave her on her birthday.
33* ChildhoodFriendRomance: Was sure that he loved Tohka since they were both children, and when they’re reunited they officially become boyfriend and girlfriend.
34* ChildhoodMarriagePromise: Makes this with Tohka on her birthday, alongside their promise to protect each other. Due to his ever-growing harem, this promise has evolved into him making Tohka his first and main wife.
35* CovertPervert: He spends so much time as his female self Shiori during Miku's arc, he ends up growing to like it, causing Shiori to show up more often. He doesn't like admitting this though with only Tohka, Natsumi and Miku knowing the truth.
36* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: While not life threatening, using the Over-Limit Spirit Ascension will leave him barely able to move after he uses it, and he can’t dispel it until the 30-minute timeframe runs out. As such, Reine asks him to only use it when nothing else works. Luckily, the need to use it has decreased with the passive ability to summon a weaker Uriel.
37* DeclarationOfProtection: Shido makes this to Tohka after she makes it first.
38* ExoticEyeDesigns: Develops the telltale whitened pupils of a Spirit when he manages to somehow call Sandalphon to help him save Tohka, his eyes become more gold in color when this happens. Unlike in canon, this is change is permanent because he's Half-Spirit and his spirit powers have awakened.
39%%* EyeColourChange
40* {{Foreshadowing}}: Shido's UnstoppableRage in the Yoshino arc ends being a small-scale preview of what would happen when he Inverts in Season 2, and [[ApocalypseHow the entire world is at stake.]]
41* FirstKiss: With Tohka in Chapter 3, it helps her regain all of her memories.
42* HalfHumanHybrid: Shido's father was a human, and his mother is a Spirit. No longer the case as of the Sephira Fury arc, where he calls on the Angels' power and becomes a true Spirit, also turning Mana ones in the process.
43* HaremSeeker: According to Kurumi in Natsumi's arc, Shido has this mindset when he tries to save a Spirit because he feels he needs to fall in love with them as much as he tries making them fall for him.
44* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: By Ellen when he attempts to save Tohka, in the heart no less. It barely even slows him down.
45* InsistentTerminology: If Shido's transformed into Shiori, everyone will refer to him as such and as a female, the author included.
46* LaserGuidedAmnesia: Doesn't remember anything before the Itsuka family took him and Mana in. The Kurumi arc reveals that he and Mana were kept in a time stasis, and that it had the unfortunate side effect of inducing memory loss.
47* LegacyCharacter: His power to seal spirits was given to him by his father after managing to create it before he died.
48* LimitBreak: If he uses his powers while transformed as Shiori, he can actually use them to their full potential. While out of control during the Shido Countdown arc, he instinctively becomes Shiori to become strong enough to deal with Mana and Mayuri when they fight against him.
49* LoveAtFirstSight: Shido has this with Tohka, who was also the first person he met upon arriving to Earth.
50* [[{{Lunarians}} Lunarian]]: As Shiori while she's in the form of Kaguyahime during the Nia Storybook arc.
51* MysteriousPast: A big theme during Season 1 of the fanfic as it becomes clear that the Spirits are tied to it. He's the son of the First Spirit, Rinne Sonogami, and a Half-Spirit that was born in the Spirit Dimension.
52* NonElemental: His spirit powers don't have any elemental affinity, he can however apply the elements of the Spirits he's sealed onto his own to work around this issue.
53* OutOfFocus: During Season 2, he becomes the deuteragonist due to the season having a larger focus on Tohka. Not to mention his Inverse Form becomes the final villain of the season.
54* PowerCopying: What his use of his harem's Angels or elemental abilities is basically defined as.
55* PowerIncontinence: He can't use his spirit powers unless he's at least holding an Angel or using his Spirit Ascension technique. Rinne discovers late in Season 2 that this is no longer the case due to letting him seal her, he just wasn’t aware until she told him he could summon a weaker copy of Uriel.
56* PowerParasite: He seals Spirits' powers within himself by kissing them, although it's treated more like a mutualistic relationship than a parasitic one since it doesn’t really take their powers away, it just stores them within him and makes the DEM's analyzing systems and automatons unable to recognize them as such, leaving only the human eye able to find them. Word of God states that the Westcott has stopped trying to kill the sealed Spirits by Season 2 is because he believes killing them while they’re sealed may risk their powers being permanently lost.
57* RelatedInTheAdaptation: Reine is his Aunt, being the sister of his father Seigo. Subverted when the Sephira Fury arc reveals that she isn't related to Seigo.
58* SayMyName: When he remembers Tohka, he keeps doing this to try and help her regain her memories. It takes this and a FirstKiss with Tohka before she finally does.
59* SkywardScream: Gives one after Tohka and Origami are frozen in ice, which in turn is followed by an UnstoppableRage. Gives an even bigger one when he believes his mother died in his arm.
60* SuperMode: After sealing a Spirit, Shido can use their Powers through a technique that Tohka names the "Spirit Ascension", however he can't use it until he's reached a 50% bond level with that particular Spirit. He later gains three more levels to this ability. The Double Spirit Ascension which lets him use two Spirits’ powers at the same time, and the Triple Spirit Ascension that does the same with three at a time. His last is the Over-Limit Spirit Ascension where he uses his mother's power.
61* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Shido is the only way that Rinne's powers can undergo an Inversion, and as Westcott learns too late... he should never enter his Inverse Form.
62* TraumaticSuperpowerAwakening: The sight of Ellen about to kill Tohka, who he just managed to remember after so long, awakens Shido's dormant spirit powers and allows Sandalphon to save her at the last moment. Happens a second time when Westcott makes Shido see a hallucination of Tohka being brutally murdered to make him Inverse, but leads to [[ApocalypseHow the threat of the world being destroyed.]]
63* UnstoppableRage: When Shido becomes truly enraged, the Reiryoku currently inside of him starts going haywire and threatens to cause a Spacequake big enough to destroy the entirety of Kanto prefecture. The only way to stop it is to calm him down (often only his harem can do this), or as mentioned by Ellen... killing him.

67!Mana Takamiya
68--> ''"You didn't give up on Tohka, so don't give up here."''
69
70Shido's 14-year old, later 15-year old as of Season 3, younger sister. Just like her older brother, she has no memories of their past life that has [[MysteriousPast some relation to the events of 30 years ago. Upon learning the truth of the Spacequakes' origins and what the DEM is trying to do, Mana joins and signs up as part of the AST division, donning the Murakumo CR-Unit in battle.]]
71
72Mana takes the role as the main character of the ''Date AST Re:Strike'' arc.
73
74----
75* ACupAngst: Mana is very annoyed by the small size of her chest (78 cm), and every time a Spirit shows up, she overreacts to how noticeable larger they are compared to her. Especially once Kotori's body gets an OvernightAgeUp from how her Inversion happened (and Kotori’s the got the smallest breasts of the Sephira Spirits), and the revelation she's Half-Spirit yet her Spirit half hasn’t amended this issue, especially when her mom mentions she might never grow any bigger. No longer a worry as of the Shido Countdown arc, where she wakes up on her birthday to discover she had a huge growth spurt that's caused her breasts to become 91 cm, her joy at the revelation is clear.
76%% * AdaptationalBackstoryChange
77* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: In canon, she made her first appearance in Yoshino's arc. Here, she debuts in the prologue chapter as a part of her brother's residence prior to joining the AST in the next arc.
78* ActionGirl: She becomes one of the stronger members of the AST only after a few days of training.
79* AmnesiacHero: Other than her brother Shido, Mana doesn't remember anything about her life before the Itsuka family allowed them to live in their home. By the Kurumi arc's end, she still has amnesia but now knows of her parents and origins, and regains all her lost memories at the end of the Rinne arc.
80* ArchEnemy: Becomes this to Jessica when she ruins her attempts to successfully capture Origami at the last moment, Mana even stated at the very moment they first met she already hates her somehow. The Rinne arc reveals her hate comes from what Jessica hurting her uncle Isamu when he came to save them from the DEM. In the Mukuro arc, their fight comes to an end when Mana gives Jessica a MercyKill to end her suffering. Becomes this for Minerva after giving her a scar on both eyes, and Mana fully cements the status once she realizes that Minerva's new CR-Unit has Artemisia's memories inside of it. This status lasts until the end of the Re:Strike arc, where Mana finally kills her.
81* BirthdayEpisode: The first chapter of Shido Countdown is of her 15th birthday.
82* BreastExpansion: Overnight before she wakes up on her 15th birthday, she finally gets the large breasts she's wanted so badly.
83* BuxomBeautyStandard: As mentioned in ACupAngst above, she hates how small her chest is. It finally becomes big in the Shido Countdown arc to her joy.
84* ChildhoodFriends: With Kotori, the two even consider each other honorary sisters.
85* CradlingYourKill: During Jessica's final moments, she holds her and confirms that she will see her mother again due to Saya proving the soul lives on, and then holds her close after she finally dies.
86* DeityOfHumanOrigin: While she's in the form of Susanoo during the Nia Storybook arc.
87* DueToTheDead: After killing Jessica, she briefly goes back down to Earth to give her a proper burial.
88* ExoticEyeDesigns: Develops the telltale whitened pupils of a Spirit during her first fight with Minerva, her eyes become more gold in color when this happens. This is change is permanent because she's Half-Spirit and her spirit powers have awakened.
89* HalfHumanHybrid: Mana's father was a human, and her mother is a Spirit.
90** No longer the case as of the Sephira Fury arc, where she becomes a true Spirit after Shido calls on the Angels' power, which makes him into one and spreads to her in the process.
91* InstantArmor: Her Murakumo CR-Unit, which focuses on using its shoulder armor to deploy swords or fire blasts in the form of energy threads. After its upgraded due to damages in the Rinne arc, she extends on this by being able to combine the sword and blasters to give them new abilities. It gets destroyed beyond repair in the Shido Countdown arc.
92* LaserGuidedAmnesia: Doesn't remember anything before the Itsuka family took her and Shido in. The Kurumi arc reveals that he and Mana were kept in a time stasis, and that it had the unfortunate side effect of inducing memory loss.
93* LightningBruiser: Her battle style with the Murakumo, meant to strike fast and strike hard.
94* LittleSisterHeroine: Mana is dedicated to protecting Shido, to the point her entire motivation to join the AST was to be able to fight alongside him. In the Re:Strike arc, she is the literal little sister heroine when she needs to be the hero during a period Shido and the other Spirits are all too sick to engage in any fights.
95* MidSeasonUpgrade: After all the heavy damages the Murakumo receives during the Rinne arc, Ratatoskr decides to not just repair it, but upgrade it. These upgrades don't get shown until the Date AST Re:Strike arc, where she overpowers Minerva with her new abilities. Said abilities are based on Orochi and the three main Shinto gods.
96** In Season 3, she loses the Murakumo, but learns how to use her Reiryoku to its fullest and can even use Spirit Ascension. Then in the Sephira Fury arc, she gains Void element powers after becoming a true Spirit.
97* MyGreatestFailure: She only escaped from the DEM because Tohka sacrificed herself after she twisted her leg, getting recaptured in exchange for Mana escaping. Tohka doesn't blame her for it, and Mana’s quick to let it go because of this, though she does use it as motivation to get stronger and never let it happen again.
98* MysteriousPast: A big theme during Season 1 of the fanfic as it becomes clear that the Spirits are tied to it. She's the daughter of the First Spirit, Rinne Sonogami, and a Half-Spirit that was born in the Spirit Dimension.
99* NonElemental: Her spirit powers don't have any elemental affinity, she can however apply the elements of the Spirits that Shido's sealed onto her own to work around this issue, but only if using Spirit Ascension. No longer the case as of the Sephira Fury arc.
100* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Mana can't act like her usual self when she becomes all fan girl for any Silver Bullet merchandise.
101* PowerIncontinence: She can't use her Reiryoku unless she's wearing the Murakumo, meaning she's no stronger than a mana born human without it. By the Re:Strike arc, she can now use it without the Murakumo, only lacking the experience to properly use it until later in the story.
102* PowerOfTheVoid: Upon becoming a full Spirit, she gains this as her element.
103* RelatedInTheAdaptation: Reine is her Aunt, being the sister of his father Seigo. Subverted when the Sephira Fury arc reveals that Reine isn't really related to Seigo.
104* RunningGag: Whenever a new Spirit shows up, she focuses on how big their breasts are due to her ACupAngst, and unfortunately every Spirit minus a select few are [[BuxomBeautyStandard vastly bigger]] than her. By the Miku arc she can somehow tell their size just by a glance. After hearing her define Shiori’s size right off the bat... everyone is understandably worried. Worse is aside from her younger sister Rio, Maria and Marina, everyone who was smaller than her would eventually outgrow her due to various reasons.
105* SuperMode: The Spirit Ascension, though she can only use the weakest level of it. She gains this through a passive ability she gives Shido during the Shido Countdown arc in their attempts to help his power stabilize.
106* SympathyForTheDevil: Despite how much she hated her, when Jessica asks Mana if she'll get to see her mother again during her final moments... Mana confirms it, deciding that it's the small bit of kindness she does deserve.
107* TraumaticSuperpowerAwakening: She awakens her spirit powers when Minerva is about to kill her, instantly turning the battle into her favor. Minerva ends up doing it again and giving her the ability to use them without the Murakumo being worn.
108[[/folder]]
109
110!The Spirits
111
112[[folder:General]]
113* ActionGirl: As stated by Reine, only girls can be turned into Spirits, and every single one of them is a powerful fighter even after being sealed. Shido is the only male Spirit, and this is only possible because he's Half-Spirit, though even he qualifies for this trope if he transforms into Shiori.
114* BackFromTheDead: All of the predecessors before the current Sephira Spirits are revived by Rinne at the end of Kurumi’s arc, including Saya.
115* BalancedHarem: While Tohka was initially a bit sour about the idea, they all have no problem sharing Shido with one another. Shido has made it clear that Tohka is his number #1 due to their history together, but he still loves them all equally.
116* BroughtDownToNormal: The Devil destroys all the Spirits' powers, but Mio quickly restores them upon fully awakening hers. The Sephira Spirits have theirs evolved, which gives them new Angels named after their Sephira Circles, and updated Astral Dresses themed after the form Tohka used against Mio in Volume 18. The other Spirits simply regain their powers, but no longer have Angels.
117* ColorCodedCharacters: Each Spirit has a color associated to them and their Spacequakes, including those not associated to the Sephirot. During the Sephira Fury arc, a few of the Spirits' colors switch, which was stated due to be the result of improper alignment in-universe.
118** Origami’s is White
119** Nia's is Gray/Silver
120** Kurumi's is Black
121** Yoshino's is Blue
122** Kotori's is Red
123** Mukuro's is Yellow/Gold
124** Natsumi's is Green
125** The Yamai twins are Orange
126** Miku's is Indigo
127** Tohka's is Purple
128** Rinne and Rio's are Pink
129** Mayuri's is Cyan
130** Shido's is Clear
131** Mana's is Violet
132** Maria's is Brown
133** Marina's is Magenta
134** Mio's is Rainbow
135* CursedWithAwesome: Phantom makes it clear to those she gives the Sephira Crystals to that while their powers can lead to their deepest wish being granted, it will come at an expense of being hunted by the DEM and they have every right to say no if they don’t want to suffer this. Everyone who accepted did so because they were willing to take the risk for their wish.
136* DespairEventHorizon: How a Spirit enters their Inverse Form, the author states every Spirit will undergo an Inversion at least once.
137* DrunkOnMilk: No one knows why, but if a Spirit drinks a mixture of caffeine and fizz, it gets them drunk, as discovered by Kannazuki when he saw Kurumi drink a caffeinated Coca Cola. Origami accidentally suffers from this in the Shido Countdown arc due to being unaware of this after having such a drink.
138* ElementalPowers: Each Spirit has one or two elemental affinities associated to their Reiryoku and spirit powers.
139** Origami's is [[LightEmUp Li]][[HolyHandGrenade ght]]
140** Nia's is [[ImaginationBasedSuperpower Imagination]]
141** Kurumi's is [[CastingAShadow Shadow]], with [[TimeMaster Time]] as her secondary element
142** Yoshino's is [[MakingASplash Water]], with [[AnIcePerson Ice]] as her secondary element
143** Kotori's is [[PlayingWithFire Fire]]
144** Mukuro's is [[SpaceMaster Space]]
145** Natsumi's is [[VoluntaryShapeshifting Metamorphosis]], with [[MasterOfIllusion Illusion]] as her secondary element
146** The Yamai twins are both [[BlowYouAway Wind]]
147** Miku's is [[MakeMeWannaShout Sound]], with [[PsychicPowers Mind]] being her secondary element
148** Tohka's is [[PureEnergy Energy]], with [[DishingOutDirt Earth]] being her secondary element
149** Rinne's is [[ThePowerOfCreation Ether]]
150** Rio's is [[HeartIsAnAwesomePower Heart]]
151** Mayuri's is [[ShockAndAwe Electricity]], with [[ExtraOreDinary Steel]] being her secondary element
152** Maria's is [[GreenThumb Plants/Wood]]
153** Marina's is [[PoisonousPerson Poison]]
154** Mana's is [[PowerOfTheVoid Void]]
155** Shido's is [[NonElemental a lack of an element]], relying more on [[PowerCopying using the power of the other Spirits.]]
156** Mio's is a combination of [[AllYourPowersCombined every Spirits' powers]], including [[StoryBreakerPower some of her own.]]
157* HappilyMarried: By the Epilogue, all of the Sephira Spirits have married Shido.
158* HopeSpringsEternal: The Ethereal Forms are this, being the power of a Spirit when rather than hitting the pinnacle of despair, they reach the peak of hope. This is the result of Seigo's essence being imbued into them through his love for Rinne.
159* ImportantHairAccessory: A unique thing among Spirits is that their Astral Dresses only manifest as clothes on their body, but the Spirits wearing these when they turn into Spirits have these become part of the Astral Dresses, even being affected by their Inversions or Ethereal Shifts which change their appearance. They also don't dissolve away upon being sealed. Tohka's ribbon is a strong example, having once only looked like a butterfly in shape and not vanishing after Shido seals her.
160* InsistentTerminology: The process of entering the Inverse Form is called an Inversion, and the process for entering the Ethereal form is called an Ethereal Shift.
161** As of Season 3, the mana that Spirits used is called "Reiryoku" to properly differentiate it from the mana humans use.
162** The Spirits associated with the ten circles of the Sephirot are referred to as the Sephira Spirits when defining them as a group, usually when their Sephira Crystals are needed to do something the extracanonical Spirits can't.
163* LegacyCharacter: None of the current Spirits were the original holders of the Sephira Crystals, as all their predecessors were killed by the DEM in their attempts to keep them from falling into Westcott's hands. Saya and Souji are the only predecessors with confirmed identities.
164** Turns out Tohka actually ''is'' the original wielder of the Sandalphon Crystal, as due to her coma while in stasis, couldn't achieve the conditions needed to allow Sandalphon to consider someone else and forced it to stay locked to her as a candidate. The same happens with Mukuro, only the Sephira Crystal chose her on its own.
165* MostCommonSuperpower: Most of the Spirits are pretty busty (including Shido as Shiori), and as the Shido Countdown arc, this has become the case for everyone with Spirit powers.
166* OlderThanTheyLook: Spirits don't age, even after being sealed. Kurumi in particular has been a Spirit for 10 years. This is subverted for Origami and Kotori, who actually aged 5 years due to Phantom locking their powers away out of safety, and Tohka who's only been a Spirit for three months by the time the story begins.
167** Nia has been a Spirit for 27 years due to having only one predecessor.
168* OneGenderRace: The Rinne arc reveals the Spirits were an all female race before their demise, hence why only girls can bond to a Sephira Crystal. Even Shido, who's the only boy with any Reiryoku, is stronger when he's transformed into Shiori.
169* OurSpiritsAreDifferent: Angels/Spirits are considered the same as Gods in the setting.
170* PosthumousCharacter: Every prior host before the current Spirits, and as such whenever a flashback shows a past possessor, it’s usually their final moments. This is subverted by Kurumi’s arc where they’re all revived back in their human forms by Rinne's revival wave.
171* PowerIncontinence: By virtue of involuntarily causing spacequakes whenever they're forced to come into our world, they can also voluntarily cause them if they want. Their powers can also flare out if they get a bit too emotional.
172** Sometimes they have irregularities that cause strange side effects, such as Yoshinon's birth, Saya's consciousness surviving, Origami's strange reaction to mana while her powers were locked, both Yamai twins getting Raphael's powers, and Natsumi's true form being regressed into a child.
173* PowerLevels: Many chapters showcase the Spirits' stats at the start and/or end notes.
174* QuestForAWish: Phantom states that the Sephira Crystals will help their wielders achieve their greatest wish, and often enough, Shido manages to save a Spirit because he indirectly helps them achieve this wish (or in Kurumi’s case, give them the means to achieve it). The Spirits' wishes are the following...
175** Tohka - To find the missing piece of her heart
176** Origami - To protect everything she holds dear to her
177** Yoshino - To dispel her loneliness and find true friends
178** Kotori - To gain the strength needed to confess her feelings
179** Kurumi - To help change the world for the better
180** Natsumi - To find a place that accepts her
181** Kaguya & Yuzuru - To always be with each other no matter what
182** Miku - To see a person who truly loved another person from the bottom of their heart
183** Nia - To see people who'd risk their lives to save others
184** Mukuro - To never lose the love of her family
185* {{Reincarnation}}: The final owners of the Sephira Crystals are discovered by Mio to be identical to the 10 angels that were transformed into them, making them the Angels' reincarnations.
186** According to Word of God, this is what the consciousness representing the Inverse half of each Spirit are for their original Angel forms, but only after they unite with their respective Spirit's Angel to unlock their Ethereal Form.
187* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: All of them fell in love with Shido because he's willing to risk everything to help them, and because he refuses to let them face solitude. Tohka and Kotori are the exceptions because they were already in love with Shido before they became Spirits.
188* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Their Inverse Forms, where their negative thoughts and feelings amplified, resulting in a very unstable behavior while becoming much more powerful. It's revealed in Kurumi's arc that when Westcott tried to take the Sephira Crystals, his wish to cause chaos and despair across the world ended up staining them with his essence. As a result, Rinne, Rio, Maria, Marina and Mayuri didn't originally have Inverse Forms because their Sephira Crystals lacked this taint.
189* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: The Ethereal Forms are this, as they're the Spirits taking the forms of their Sephira Crystals when they were still Angels under God.
190* WorfHadTheFlu: During the events of the Date AST Re:Strike arc, the Spirits all get sick from an overflow of power that renders them unable to do anything while they take a whole day to heal up. Mana and Maria are the only ones unaffected because their powers aren't linked to Shido, who spread it to the others due to Rinne causing the overflow.
191* WorldOfBuxom: The Spirits are all rather busty with the exception of Mayuri, Maria, Marina, [[TokenMiniMoe Kotori, Yoshino, Natsumi and Rio.]] Rinne states in the Natsumi arc that the Spirit Dimension was this before Westcott destroyed it. This is subverted by Season 3, where all of the Spirits have become this by AdaptationalCurves for all but Mana, who undergoes BreastExpansion on her 15th birthday.
192* YouCantGoHomeAgain:
193** Subverted, any of the Spirits having a home isn't ever really brought up, and the few who do have one don't make mention of being unable to return. Not to mention that they gain one regardless after Shido seals their powers and moves in with him.
194** Played straight in Rinne's case, though in a visiting sense. The Spirit Dimension was destroyed by Westcott, an act that lead to Rinne causing the First Spacequake as all the world's remaining power flooded into her. Every time the Spirits become "Lost", they appear in the gate that once connected the two worlds.

207Spirit No. 10, the Energy Spirit and the first Spirit to appear overall. The main heroine and deuteragonist of ''Date A Re:Live'', Tohka is Shido's childhood friend and the first girl he ever fell in love with. Having suddenly turned into a Spirit 3 months ago and not knowing what happened between her last encounter with the Takamiya siblings and then, Tohka [[MysteriousPast seeks to find the same answers]] Shido and Mana do while trying to learn how she became a Spirit.
208
209Tohka and Shido swap roles in Season 2, where she’s the protagonist due to her personal growth, overcoming her doubts at being worthy to be Sandalphon's wielder, and having to take the role of leader when Shido is kidnapped by the DEM.
210
211----
212%% * AdaptationalBackstoryChange: In Canon, she was born from her Sephira Crystal. Here, she was born from an accidental TeenPregnancy between two humans.
213* AdaptationalCurves: By Kurumi’s arc, Tohka’s gained a more developed figure than the other Spirits as a result of natural growth, especially in the chest area.
214** By Natsumi's arc, she's had this happen a second time where she’s become the only Spirit to reach a triple digit bust line, though the author claims this is the last time it will happen.
215** The Choronzon arc shows that this was genetic, as she got them from her mother.
216* AdaptationalIntelligence: Tohka's much smarter than her [[DumbMuscle canon counterpart]], as her data sheet states her intelligence is at 100 instead of 32. Admittedly she isn't the smartest, but usually her being clueless or not getting something has more to do with a FishOutOfWater moment.
217* AdaptationalSuperpowerChange: In canon, she was a non-elemental based Spirit. Here her powers are Energy-Based with Earth as a secondary element.
218* AdaptationSpeciesChange: Due to the reveals of Volume 18, Tohka being Human counts as this.
219** Upon her parents appearing in the Ars Install arc and being the very same in personality, it seems like she would have ended up this way regardless of her time in stasis, meaning she may or may not have aged mentally while in stasis.
220%%* AlternateIdentityAmnesia: {{Averted}}. Unlike in canon, she retains her memories regardless if she's normal or Inversed.
221* AloofDarkHairedGirl: When she first met Shido in her Inverse Form, she ignored him like he was just part of the scenery that was easily replaceable, even willing to kill him just for being present.
222* AnimalMotif: A butterfly, best represented in her signature ribbon, and her experiences during Season 2. See the example in ButterflyOfTransformation for more details.
223* ArchEnemy: While Inverted, she considers Inverse Origami as this due to being the cause of her inversion. After she’s returned to normal and Origami joins the harem, Ellen becomes this to her, though it doesn’t get properly shown until Season 2.
224* BackToSchool: Subverted. While most of Ratatoskr thought it would be more beneficial in the long run, Reine didn’t think Tohka would properly settle in due to her memory gap, so she stays at home or at Ratatoskr with the other non-schooled Spirits during this time period. Tohka is perfectly fine with this because she hated school. In Season 2, this is partially double subverted due to the ''Ratatoskr Classroom'' being made to keep everyone together during school hours, but she’s still not actually enrolled in school.
225* BadassDriver: She learned how to drive simply from her throne’s Chrysaor form, able to expertly drive the Sleipnir despite never having driven a car, or possessing a license. By some point between the Kurumi and Rinne arcs, she's gotten a license so she can legally be this.
226* BadassInDistress: Takes on an army of Bandersnatch, multiple DEM Wizards, the Arbitel and Ellen (Westcott just being a spectator) and puts up a good fight before the Arbitel gives Ellen the opening to overpower her. Even then she still resists until all her strength is gone.
227* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Inverse Tohka ends up seeing the good in Humanity through Shido, and honestly thinks that she could live a normal life when he suggests the idea. When she senses the DEM forces coming to Tenguu City, she purposely acts cruel again just to prevent Shido from following her because she doesn’t want him to die.
228* BigEater: Whenever she eats, it’s not odd to see at least half a dozen plates stacked by her. Kotori notes that if Ratatoskr didn’t cover their expenses, they’d end up broke by simply trying to feed her on a daily basis.
229* BishounenLine: Downplayed, but the first time Tohka uses her Ethereal Form, it just seems to be a combination of her Astral Dress in both her normal, and Inverse form. When she truly unlocks it, her Ethereal Astral Dress is much more unique. This is justified by the author stating the original appearance came from Seigo letting her use it before she had genuine access to it, and later the reveal that its what the original Sandalphon's outfit looked like.
230* BreakHisHeartToSaveHim: Inverse Tohka realizes that Shido would try to help her if she told him of the DEM attack coming, so she acts like he didn't get through to her and knocks him off the viewpoint so he won't come back, with Shido believing the reaction as genuine. She hates every second of the act.
231* BreastExpansion: A natural case, twice. During the Kurumi arc, Tohka has been revealed to have gone from 84cm to 96cm (later 101cm by the Natsumi arc) since she had been sealed. Due to her FishOutOfWater status, she didn't realize this, even after her new size destroyed all of her bras when she tried wearing them.
232* ButterflyOfTransformation: Season 2 can best be represented as Tohka being a caterpillar entering her cocoon, and emerging at the end as a butterfly. She starts off feeling she's not able to help Shido compared to the other Spirits, so she asks them to help her get stronger. In the process, not only does she learn more about her powers, but gains more confidence in herself, realizing she's much more powerful than she's led herself to believe. This all comes together in the last stage of the Choronzon Havoc arc, where she becomes the first Spirit to achieve the Ethereal Form, showing the completion of her metamorphosis.
233* CharacterDevelopment: During the Origami arc, Tohka begins learning what it means to be a teenager after accidentally thinking Shido was cheating on her, only to indirectly lead to Shido getting hurt and feeling awful about it. A talk with Ai, Mai and Mii, and then Shido explaining why he has to have a harem, helps Tohka understand her confusing feelings and reassure her that Shido will never abandon her.
234** During the Rinne arc, she comes to feel that she's barely been able to do anything on her end of the shared promise she and Shido made to protect each other. As a result, she asks the other Spirits to train her and overcome this.
235** Goes through this in spades throughout Season 2, learning to trust herself, her skills and her abilities and focus less on her doubts and more on doing everything she can to protect those she cares for. Discovering more of her powers, using it fully in the process, and taking the role of a leader when Shido isn't there to do it himself. She even ends up being the reason Natsumi, the Yamai twins and Miku are able to bond with Shido enough to be sealed.
236* ChildhoodFriends: With Shido, since they were seven years old.
237* ChildhoodFriendRomance: Was sure that she loved Shido since they were both children, when reunited they officially become boyfriend and girlfriend.
238* ChildhoodMarriagePromise: Makes this with Shido on her birthday, alongside their promise to protect each other. Due to his ever-growing harem, this promise has evolved into him making Tohka his first and main wife. By the epilogue, this promise has been fulfilled.
239* CycleOfRevenge: Played for Laughs, due to Shido running too fast while bridal carrying her in Origami’s arc, when the Sleipnir comes to pick them up in Kotori’s arc, Tohka takes the wheel and purposely drives too fast as payback.
240* ADayInTheLimelight: Season 2 heavily focuses on her, where she's the protagonist instead of Shido.
241* DeceasedParentsAreTheBest: Reine confirms that Tohka’s parents were killed when the DEM came and kidnapped them, Tohka was unaware of this fact until the Rinne arc where she learns the truth. [[HeroicBSOD She doesn't take it well...]] especially when the Choronzon arc reveals how wonderful her parents were.
242** Subverted as of the Ars Install arc, where its revealed the DEM didn't kill them and they had been imprisoned in stasis pods for the past 30 years, only being found after Ratatoskr claimed possession of every DEM building.
243* DeclarationOfProtection: Tohka tells Shido that she will always protect him, convincing him to make the same promise in return. She takes this promise so seriously that when she feels she's failing to fulfill it, she asks the other Spirits to train her.
244* {{Determinator}}: Tohka will face anything for the sake of protecting Shido.
245* DespairEventHorizon: She had been attacked by Wizards for so long, seeing Inverse Origami made her really happy because seeing another of her kind gave her hope that they’d understand each other... but Inverse Origami both attacks and attempts to kill her, and that makes Tohka snap and fall into her own Inverse Form.
246* {{Deuteragonist}}: She's the focal Spirit among Shido's harem, having been in love with him long before she ever became one, and the one who got Shido involved in Ratatoskr's mission to save them.
247* DishingOutDirt: To a minor degree, her powers have a tendency to create seismic waves. Unfortunately, that's all she can seem to do with earth elemental abilities. At least until Season 2, where she discovers she can do more in her attempt to rescue Natsumi, managing to manipulate both stone and sand.
248* EasyAmnesia: She regains her memories of Shido fairly easily after they share a kiss, though the rest of her memory after she and Shido last saw each other is still missing. Turns out it isn't, because there aren't any memories during that time for her to remember.
249* EverythingsBetterWithSamurai: While she's in the form of Momotarou during the Nia Storybook arc.
250* ExpressiveAccessory: Her ribbon helps to indicate her current mood spectrum. It flaps when happy, droops when sad, straightens out and shakes slightly when angry, and gets a bit wrinkly when scared.
251* ExtremeOmnivore: To Shido's worry and horror, Tohka can somehow eat inorganic substances, and as shown in Ch 15 may try eating such if she's starving. The author states that eating inorganic food won't harm her, but Shido still doesn't want her to.
252* EyelidPullTaunt: Delivers one to her Inverse Form in order to get a shot at blinding the latter with a sandstorm.
253* FireForgedFriends: Quickly becomes best friends with Origami to the latter’s surprise.
254** Her rescue of Natsumi makes her one for her, being the Spirit she trusts most as a result of this.
255* FirstKiss: With Shido, and it even helps her remember her real name and Shido himself.
256* FishOutOfWater: Due to not remembering what happened to her between when she was kidnapped by the DEM as a child and when she became a Spirit three month ago, Tohka is often unaware or clueless about things. This is especially bad when it comes to anything teenager related, as she had no idea her breasts would grow any bigger, being completely unaware of this until Origami measures her after she breaks all her bras.
257* GemstoneAssault: Learns in Season 2 she can actually use crystals by solidifying her energy element with her earth element.
258* HiddenDepths: Shido learns the hard way that just because Tohka's innocent and a bit out of place due to the gap in her memories, that doesn’t mean she can’t be clever. At the end of Origami’s arc, she manages to trick Shido into making her buy all her favorite foods for not telling her a Spirit needs to be kissed to have their powers sealed.
259** Turns out she can be very clever in battle and academically when she's given the chance, realizing the truth behind Natsumi's game and that she didn't transform into a person, but her signature butterfly ribbon.
260* HopeSpringsEternal: When it seems like Choronzon has destroyed any chances of stopping him, Tohka reminds herself due to Seigo's words that as long as Shido is alive... she has hope. The strength of her hope allows her to enter the Ethereal Form without even knowing how she did.
261** She finally realizes how it happened in the Sephira Fury arc, where she officially gains access to Ethereal Form after managing to make her Inverse half let go of her hatred of Humanity.
262* IconicItem: The butterfly ribbon in her hair, Shido bought it for her as a present for her 7th birthday, she's always had it ever since. Strangely enough, its considered part of her Astral Dress and also not, being the only clothing that doesn't vanish when her powers are sealed and changing shape temporarily when in her Inverse Form.
263* InnocentFanserviceGirl: She honestly doesn't have a clue what she's doing when following Ai, Mai and Mii's advice on how to make Shido to accept a date with her. Then again, considering how little she understands about being a teenager currently...
264** Not to mention she wasn’t even wearing a bra at the time, though not on the trio's suggestion, which Shido didn’t even notice until she started unbuttoning her current outfit.
265* InsistentTerminology: While inverted and without her memories, she would only refer to Shido as her servant.
266** Tohka has a tendency to give official names to a lot of things, always with the intent on making them official. She's named the Spirit Ascension and all its variations, the Ethereal Form, and the process of entering it which she calls the Ethereal Shift.
267* ItRunsInTheFamily: Tohka's parents are pretty much the same as their daughter in personality, even sharing her usual naivete and innocence, as if their personalities are genetic. The same applies body types as Tohka gets her curves from her mother.
268* ItWasAGift: The butterfly ribbon Tohka wears is a gift that Shido bought for her on her 7th birthday.
269* LaserGuidedAmnesia: She’s completely forgotten the period between when she was 7 years old until around 3 months ago, especially how she even got away from the DEM and only aged 9 years instead of 30. Turns out she only lost a single memory, which was of how Rio tried to save her life and Seigo getting her out of the DEM shortly after being recaptured. The reason behind her memory gap is because she was unknowingly sleeping in a time stasis that slowed her aging.
270* LoveAtFirstSight: She falls in love with Shido the moment she first sees him, it helps he calls her pretty shortly after meeting her.
271* MeaningfulName: Tohka is named the same way as in canon, but this time it’s because her mother gave birth to her on April 10th. This is also the day she and Shido reunite after years, and share their first kiss.
272** Her Ethereal Form's code name, Monarch. This fits the theme of her other code names, as a monarch is a form of royalty like a princess, and her butterfly motif, through the Monarch Butterfly.
273* MementoMacGuffin: Her butterfly ribbon in its inverse appearance is knocked off by Ellen's Rhongomiant, and flies towards Shido where it reverts to normal. The mere sight of it in this state causes Shido to remember Tohka and by extension, help her remember.
274* NameAmnesia: When Shido meets her in her Inverse Form at the start of the story, she doesn’t remember her name, leading to Shido deciding to call her Mio until she remembers (which she doesn’t like). Luckily, she doesn’t take too long to remember her name after this event due to Shido remembering her.
275* NotSoDifferentRemark: Realizes from seeing Natsumi's eyes that she's gone through similar pain to what she felt when she lost her memories, gets a similar feeling from seeing Miku’s eyes, though not as powerful because Miku’s story is vastly different.
276* PureEnergy: Her elemental affinity as a spirit, as she controls pure magical power. Shido notes that if she focused her emotions and will enough, she could swing Sandalphon with more power than she would while using Nahemah. Except Nahemah can be empowered the same way.
277* RandomlyGifted: Like most exposed to the first Spacequake, she was gifted by the mana it unleashed. While she was one of the rare few not to stop aging (although she gained this when she became a Spirit later), her hair became purple, gained a superhuman level physiology, and the ability to safely consume inorganic matter.
278* RankInflation: After finally using her full power in the Yamai arc, she's promoted from an AAA-Rank Spirit to an S-Rank Spirit. Her Inverse Form also goes from a SS-Rank Spirit to a SSS-Rank Spirit.
279* SayMyName: The sign she's regained her memories related to Shido? She finally says his name instead of calling him servant, after a FirstKiss and Shido calling out her name the same way.
280* SpannerInTheWorks: For the entire series, at least on the end of Shido’s involvement as the entire story begins by Shido encountering her Inverse Form, and both she and Shido regaining their memories of one another is a clear sign that whatever made Tohka like she is now seems to be involved to why they and Mana have lost most of their memories.
281* SuperPoweredEvilSide: From the get go, Tohka is already in her Inverse Form when Shido first meets her, and until the moment where Shido states he’ll always accept her she always seems to be in the mood to shoot Shido to death. She’s also the first to have her Inverse Form manifest as a separate individual.
282* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Has this dynamic with Origami, being the tomboy of the two.
283* TookALevelInBadass: By Season 2, she's become a lot stronger, managing to rescue Natsumi all by herself and discovering more of her powers she had been unaware of before the Natsumi arc. Not to mention she learns she unknowingly hadn't been using her full power, once she manages to awaken it she overpowers Ellen of all people!
284* TrademarkFavoriteFood: While she still loves Kinako Bread, it’s simply her favorite ''bakery'' food in the story, and she has a favorite for everything else to the point that there’s just too many to list.
285* UnskilledButStrong: Kotori states she's like this in the Re:Strike arc after a duel as part of the Spirits' training regimen for her, Tohka herself even answers she doesn't actually know to use a sword properly. Luckily for her, she slowly breaks out of this by Season 2. Then in the Yamai arc, its revealed she hadn't even using her full power and didn't realize it.
286* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: In Origami’s arc, her presence and brief emotional outburst causes her powers to generate enough mana that not only was Origami unable to prevent her usual reaction to mana via a special sedative, but destroy Phantom's lock on her Reiryoku.
287* WhenSheSmiles: Once she remembers Shido and finally undoes her Inversion, her smile is all anyone needs to know she’s finally found the happiness she’s been longing for.
288* WorthyOpponent: While under her Inversion, she refuses to use or even bring out Nahemah unless she senses Inverse Origami in the area. She goes against this when the DEM attack is incoming because she actually realizes the group’s threat.

302Spirit No. 1, the Light Spirit and the second Spirit to appear overall. Origami met Shido over 5 years ago during the Tenguu Fire, but he doesn’t remember this due to the event being very brief to him. During the events of the fire, Origami was transferred into a Spirit by Phantom when offered the Metatron crystal, however while searching for her parents, Metatron accidentally read them as a threat and killed them.
303
304The horrible act causes Origami to Inverse and cause massive destruction, forcing Phantom to lock her powers away and tell her to not kill herself as there are people waiting for her that will never leave her. After re-encountering Shido in the present, she faces a crisis as the lock finally reaches its time limit when she makes close proximity to Tohka and her powers fully return. All the while facing the prospect that Phantom’s worlds aren’t true and she should just let herself die.
305
306----
307* AdaptationalCurves: She's much bustier than her canon counterpart, mentioning in one chapter her bust size is 88cm when Mana demands to know what it is.
308* AdaptationalHairstyleChange: Like Nia, she has long hair for the majority of her screen time as opposed to having short hair like the source material.
309* AdaptationalHeroism: Because of how she became a Spirit and being aware she killed her parents from the start of the story, Origami never came to hate Spirits, instead growing to hate ''herself''.
310* AdaptedOut: Anything related to Old Timeline personality of canon Origami doesn’t exist in this story’s version of her.
311* AmusingInjuries: What’s her solution to breaking open a janitor locker that Kurumi trapped her and Kotori in? Slam her head on the door... which actually works, though it leaves her with a swell bump.
312* BrokenAce: She has top grades at school and is called the “Super Genius” by her classmates. Unfortunately, this intelligence comes from the trauma of killing her parents, the inability to forget the memory even after finding closure manifested as a photographic memory.
313* DeathSeeker: During her arc, she's like this for a majority of it, but Shido and Tohka manage to drop her out of this mindset.
314* DespairEventHorizon: Finds her parents after gaining her Spirit powers... only for the surprise of them calling out to her causing Metatron to mistakenly register them as a threat and kill them before she could stop it.
315* EasilyForgiven: She tells Shido she doesn’t blame the Spirits for what happened to her parents and for the Tenguu Fire happening. However, she doesn’t tell him this is because she understands exactly how the Spirits feel due to being one herself, and that ''she'' is the Spirit that killed her parents.
316** Likewise, to her surprise, Tohka completely shrugs off everything that happened between them while they were both Inverted.
317* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: Originally had short hair 5 years ago, but after her parents' death, she grew her hair out due to her mother suggesting it before her death, and wanting to keep her memory alive through that suggestion.
318** After Maria's "death", she restyles her hair to look like Maria's so she can honor her for the same reasons as the above example. She changes it back after they're revealed to be alive.
319* FireForgedFriends: She ends up becoming best friends with Tohka to her surprise, mainly because she was worried they wouldn’t get along due to Tohka's relationship with Shido, and how she reacted when Tohka saw her and Shido together.
320* ForgottenFirstMeeting: She and Shido first met during the Tenguu Fire from 5 years ago, where she helped saved her parents from being killed by flaming debris. She remembers this event, but Shido didn’t upon their reunion at Raizen High. Justified by how the death of her parents has made caused Origami to develop a photographic memory.
321* HeroicBSOD: How Inverse Origami would act while her powers were locked, her body acting on instinct while she's in a catatonic state. This doesn't cause her to become unaware of her surroundings though, as she realized Shido was present to see her and Inverse Tohka's battle.
322* HopeSpringsEternal: When the real Chinami's soul breaks through the robot body's grip for a brief moment, Origami learns the truth about her, and what killed her parents, and realizing Chinami always loved her allows her to access her Ethereal Shift.
323* ImportantHairAccessory: Three hair clips on the right side of her head, which are all she has left of her parents.
324* {{Irony}}: She accepts a Sephira Crystal from Phantom because she wants to protect her parents using its power, almost no time after becoming a Spirit, her powers are what end up killing them.
325* LightEmUp: Her elemental affinity as a Spirit, converting photon into light her Spirit mana can use.
326* LivingEmotionalCrutch: After being saved and sealed by Shido, he's become this to Origami to the point that she would commit suicide if he died. Once she learns the truth she wasn't the real killer of her parents, and that Rio put her parents' souls inside her so they'll always be with her, she no longer has any suicidal tendencies.
327* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: The reaction she gives upon seeing her new powers kill her parents. Not just her either, as Metatron felt so awful about what it had done that ever since then, it refuses to fire on its own unless it senses the intent to physically harm Origami.
328* MysteriousVeil: While her powers were still locked, the veil that was part of Origami's Astral Dress kept her face hidden for unknown reasons, making Shido unable to tell she was a Spirit. Even Tohka couldn't recognize Origami as the Spirit who made her Inverse.
329* NakedPeopleAreFunny: She's in the form of the King from the Emperor's New Clothes during the Nia Storybook arc, and she is ''not'' happy about it.
330* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Downplayed because she wasn’t completely in control at the time, but she’s the one responsible for causing Tohka’s Inversion.
331* NoSocialSkills: Downplayed. Origami is able to talk to people, but due to her incredibly shyness and nervousness, she often stutters when talking to people she isn't familiar with. Justified by the death of her parents and the danger of being near spirit mana while her powers are locked up.
332** During the Kurumi arc, after seeing both Kurumi and Kotori act like they were anemic, she mistakenly replies that her ''anemone'' is kicking in due to feeling put on the spot.
333* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Her not acting shy after Shido learned she was a Spirit was enough to tell him that something wasn’t right.
334* SelfMadeOrphan: Worried she might not find her parents in time during the Tenguu Fire, she accepts a Sephira Crystal so she can cross the flames with less risk to herself. Unfortunately, she didn't know that Metatron might take anything that surprised her as a threat, and the Angel accidentally kills her parents when their calling out to her does just that. Turns out Metatron fired of its own accord, and the taint of the Inverse Form was responsible. So she didn't actually kill her parents like she thought.
335** Then its subverted again during the Sephira Fury arc, where the real Chinami reveals her robotic self was the real culprit behind causing Metatron to fire at her parents, who were on the DEM's hit list for being part of a company that refused to be bought by the DEM and was considered would become a threat if they sided with Ratatoskr.
336* ShrinkingViolet: A bit different from Yoshino as she’s able to be more social and louder, but Origami tends to stutter a lot and often looks clearly nervous and scared when talking to people. Also, if put on the spot, she might say something odd and confusing because of her panic.
337* [[TheSmartGuy The Smart Girl]]: She’s one of if not the smartest member of Shido’s harem, this is best shown when she realizes how to defeat the DEM’s Hydra automaton when Maria couldn’t search up the answer due to a jamming field.
338* StepfordSmiler: Tries to be this due to Phantom’s words to her after her parents died, but by the time of her arc has given up. Shido and Tohka’s words make her realize they were the people Phantom had told her about and it becomes genuine.
339* SuperPoweredEvilSide: Enters her Inverse Form after killing her parents, forcing Phantom to lock away her powers for the sake of Tenguu City’s safety. Origami even holds the unfortunate honor of being the first Spirit to undergo an inversion and revealing the transformation’s existence to Westcott.
340* TheseHandsHaveKilled: The fact she killed her parents haunts her greatly. She gets better once she learns that she actually didn't, and that Metatron did it by accident under the influence of the Inverse Form taint, and truly finds peace when she Chinami reveals her robotic side forced Metatron to fire, meaning Origami and Metatron never had any true involvement in killing them.
341* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Has this dynamic with Tohka, being the girly girl of the two.
342* WhenSheSmiles: Due to her personality, especially during pre-sealing, it’s pretty rare to see Origami with a smile. As a result, when she does smile, it’s a beautiful sight.

356Spirit No. 4, the Water Spirit and the third Spirit to appear overall. Yoshino seems to be a normal, weak, and pacifistic spirit wearing a strange puppet on her hand at first glance... but it's quickly revealed she has the power to Inverse ''freely'' as she quickly freezes up a whole area of Tokyo and Okinawa without any effort.
357
358Knowing that Westcott won't wait to act and capture her once she arrives at Tenguu City, Shido and the others come to her before the DEM decides to mobilize for another attempt at her. However in their attempts to talk with her, they learn the hard way about the secret of her power to freely Inverse and that earning her trust isn't as easy as it appears.
359
360!Yoshino
361----
362* AccidentalPervert: Yoshinon can make Yoshino look like this if she's not careful.
363* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Her quote above is the result of Shido truly wanting to help her.
364* CharacterDevelopment: Becomes more confident with talking to people and gains courage without the need for Yoshinon to be her courage. By Kurumi’s arc, its learning that it doesn’t matter how strong she is, but the fact she’s willing to fight for the sake of her friends.
365* {{Dandere}}: She’s shy around people she hasn’t become familiar with, though she usually averts this with other Spirits because she realizes they have a similar story.
366* DoomedHometown: The town she lived in was ravaged by Spacequakes, with only a few survivors including herself.
367* EarnYourHappyEnding: Learning to stand on her own rewards her by having Zadkiel reveal she's Yoshinon, filling her with joy as the friend she thought she lost had returned to her.
368* TheEmpath: Yoshino can usually tell what someone’s feeling. This is best shown when during Raizen’s Visitor Event, Yoshino is able to tell some of Shido’s classmates are about to hurt him and quickly uses her cuteness to stop them.
369* FishOutOfWater: Due to her shyness and initial dependency on Yoshinon, she's still a bit a bit clueless about things she should have learned when still a normal Human.
370* HeroicSecondWind: When Yoshinon hits her lowest point, she ends up finally finding courage and convinces Yoshinon to not give in.
371* AnIcePerson: Her secondary element affinity, she usually uses it to attack because her primary element of water has a harder time taking offensive form.
372* IncorruptiblePurePureness: There isn’t a bad bone anywhere on Yoshino’s body.
373* LittleRedFightingHood: While she's in the form of Little Red Riding Hood during the Nia Storybook arc.
374* MakingASplash: Her primary elemental affinity, she uses it more defensively since her secondary element of ice tends to work better offensively.
375* MeaningfulName: Her last name means "place where the water is"
376* MysticalWhiteHair: When Yoshino enters her Inverse Form, her hair becomes a ghostly pale blue that’s nearly white. So far, she’s the only Spirit who has their hair color change in their Inverse Forms.
377* OlderThanTheyLook: Despite she looks like a young child, Yoshino is actually the same age as Kotori. By Natsumi's arc, she finally looks her age again.
378* OnlyOneName: Initially she’s only known as Yoshino. After being sealed, Ratatoskr gives her the last name Mizui as part of her citizenship status.
379* OvernightAgeUp: After Yoshinon fuses back into her, she's regained her older form by the next day. To Mana's chagrin, her true form's change compared to her de-aged form gains the same height and endowed as Kotori did from her own physical aging.
380* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: To herself of all people, in order to give herself an effective HeroicSecondWind and to help give a more effective YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre speech to Yoshinon.
381* RedEyesTakeWarning: Her Inverse Form’s only visible eye isn’t blue, but red. That’s because it’s Yoshinon’s eye.
382* ReluctantWarrior: Yoshino doesn’t like fighting, and tries to avoid a fight or at least hurting people if she can. If she has to, she’ll let Yoshinon take over so she doesn’t have to force herself to hurt anyone.
383* ShesAllGrownUp: Turns out she's actually 13, but Yoshinon's creation sucked away 5 years so Yoshinon would be old enough to properly communicate with her. When Yoshinon finally fuses back into her, she regains her true age.
384* ShrinkingViolet: Yoshino is incredibly quiet and has trouble talking to people, but unlike Origami has some social skills by letting Yoshinon talk for her. As she learns to talk to people herself, she shows to already be good at being social with others.
385* SuperPoweredEvilSide: The main focus of her arc is the fact she’s able to enter her Inverse Form ''freely'', where every other Spirit needs to hit the depths of despair to enter it. This is because her Inverse personality and her are already great friends and trust each other another to swap bodies, her inverse persona being none other than Yoshinon herself!
386* TokenMiniMoe: She looks like a child around the age of 8-10, but she states she's biologically 13. Turns out this is the result of how Yoshinon was born, siphoning 5 years off of her, and making her look younger.
387* TheWorfEffect: Suddenly losses the ability to freely Inverse around halfway into Kurumi’s arc, and the Rinne arc reveals this is because Yoshinon and her were originally one, but now they're fusing back together. This process completes by the end of the Re:Strike arc.
388* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: The reason Zadkiel has Yoshinon "die", so that Yoshino can learn she doesn't need her to be strong.
389
390!Yoshinon
391----
392* BackFromTheDead: Returns in the finale, though it's never really explained how, other than her Ethereal Form had something to do with it.
393* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Yoshinon is willing to trust Yoshino in Shido’s care because she realizes he truly wants to protect her and not harm her.
394* CharacterDeath: Dies at the end of the Date AST Re:Strike arc, having slowly fused back into Yoshino since Kurumi's arc.
395* CharacterDevelopment: Slowly learns to be more trusting to people and not assuming anyone who even gives a hint that they’ll hurt Yoshino is someone she needs to be weary of.
396* ConvenientTerminalIllness: Starting from Kurumi's arc, Yoshinon is slowly "dying" as she starts fusing back into Yoshino.
397* CovertPervert: Makes Yoshino seem like this, but this is actually all her. She’s horrible at the covert part so everyone’s pretty aware she’s a pervert.
398* [[ConsultingMisterPuppet Consulting Miss Puppet]]: This is pretty much what Yoshinon is, though without the consulting part due to being a part of Yoshino’s psyche. If Yoshino’s too scared to talk or needs Yoshinon’s skills over her own, she’ll always be on call to help out.
399* EyepatchOfPower: Yoshinon is always wearing an eyepatch. When she and Yoshino swap bodies for their Inversion, the eyepatch even transfers over with her.
400* HandPuppet: What Yoshinon literally is, though if people ask if she’s doing ventriloquism then neither her or Yoshino understand the question and assume it’s just some kind of playful joke. Considering Yoshinon can actually still move and talk if she’s not on Yoshino's hand, the two probably have good reason to not understand Yoshinon has the body of a puppet.
401* HeroicBSOD: After she ends up freezing Tohka and Origami, she gets unresponsive and lets herself get struck by the Nidhoggr. Surprisingly, its Yoshino who snaps her out of it.
402* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: When her actions cause Shido to give a SkywardScream, Yoshinon realizes she became exactly what she was trying to protect Yoshino from.
403* NiceGirl: Despite some of her comments, Yoshinon is ultimately a good person. She’s just a bit more vocal and blunt than Yoshino.
404* OnlyOneName: And unlike Yoshino, this doesn’t change.
405* SplitPersonality: Is this for Yoshino, talking in place of her at times and having the courage and heroism she initially lacks. Rinne's arc even reveals she's literally part of Yoshino, and they're slowly merging back into one being.
406** Then subverted when she reveals she's Zadkiel herself, and had vanished because Yoshino was becoming too dependent on her, something she knew would do more harm than good.
407* SuperPoweredEvilSide: She actually IS Yoshino’s Inverse Form personality, and is the reason she can inverse and change back freely.
408* TenderTears: Hearing Yoshino willing forgive her for how bad she let herself act ends up bringing her to tears.
409* WalkingSpoiler: Yoshinon has a bit of a secret that connects to Yoshino's ability to inverse and change back of her own free choice.
410* WellIntentionedExtremist: If she considers anyone is trying to hurt Yoshino in even the slightest way, she ''will'' hurt them without exception. It takes her accidentally freezing Tohka and Origami to realize just how much worse this made her compared to the DEM wizards attacking them.
411* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: Yoshino gives one to her after her HeroicBSOD, helping Yoshinon stand back on her feet and helping everyone destroy the Nidhoggr automaton.

421Archangel: Samael\
422Astral Dress: Elohim Gibor
423
424Spirit No. 5, the Flame Spirit and the fourth Spirit to appear overall. Kotori is the only child and daughter of Haruko and Tatsuo Itsuka, engineers working under Asgard Electronics, and indirectly Ratatoskr by extension. Shido and Mana have lived with her for most of her life, becoming a close friend and eventually like a sister to both of them. During this time, Kotori develops feelings for Shido, wishing to be more than a sister to him one day.
425
4265 years ago, after flopping another confession attempt, she runs into Phantom and wanting to gain the strength to successfully confess her feelings, becomes the new Efreet, only to be attacked by Kurumi shortly after and accidentally causing the Tenguu Fire during a fight against her. Phantom quickly discovers a second personality, Camael's previous wielder, Saya Yamada, trying to seize control of her body. Phantom locks away her powers and tells her to not give in so the person that can save her reaches her.
427
428----
429%%* AdaptationalJobChange
430* BreastExpansion: Her OvernightAgeUp bumps her from a 72 cm to a 84, much to Mana’s chagrin.
431* CannotSpitItOut: She’s in love with Shido romantically, but she can’t seem to tell him. Finally subverted by the end of her arc to her utmost joy.
432* CharacterDevelopment: She was a cry baby who always felt weak and begged for a way to get stronger, leading to Phantom offering her the Camael Crystal to her, but indirectly allowing Saya’s consciousness to try and take over her body as a consequence. After Shido seals her powers away, Kotori realizes the only strength she needs is courage even when she’s afraid, finally confessing her feelings to Shido who to her joy are returned.
433* CheerfulChild: Despite her being easily frightened over things, Shido and Mana mention she has this sunny feeling to her and she’s often shown to be quite happy. This became rare after the Tenguu Fire to their worry, but came back stronger by the end of Kotori’s arc.
434* ChildhoodFriends: With Mana, the two even consider each other honorary sisters.
435* CrashIntoHello: How she meets Phantom, having ran off and running into her after what happened in the NoodleIncident mentioned below.
436* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: This is usually the case, however sometimes while in Spirit mode, her eyes suddenly become blue. When this happens, her voice changes too. That’s because it isn’t Kotori speaking when her eyes are blue.
437* FieryRedhead: Subverted. While she appears to be this, it’s later revealed in her arc that any time she acted like this, it was Saya’s influence.
438* {{Foreshadowing}}: Before her arc officially begins, no one mentions she has the eyes of a Spirit. This is a sign that her powers have been locked away by Phantom for similar reasons.
439* GenkiGirl: She can get particularly excited when she’s in a cheerful mood.
440* GirlishPigtails: Starts out the story wearing these, by the end of her arc, she no longer does because one of her ribbons gets destroyed.
441* HealingFactor: While spirits can naturally heal over time, Kotori is the only one who can do this instantly. In her Inverse Form, she has everything but an arm disintegrated and regenerates her entire body! It also gives her an OvernightAgeUp as a bonus.
442* ImportantHairAccessory: Her ribbons, enough that losing one of them briefly makes Kotori feel awful. After her CharacterDevelopment, she keeps the surviving ribbon tied around her arm as a sign she's grown up.
443* LegacyCharacter: Before she inherited the Camael crystal, it's previous wielder was Saya Yamada, Kurumi’s best friend.
444* NoodleIncident: We don’t know what happened to make her previous confessions to Shido fail, only that the one before becoming a Spirit ended with her falling into a bowl of bread dough.
445** Her love of lollipops seems to come from one, and its one she doesn't want her parents, Shido, or Mana to find out about. The only clue to event is that it's implied it had to do with her crybaby personality.
446* NotBloodSiblings: Shido and Mana initially consider Kotori their honorary sister since they live in the Itsuka household. Kotori’s arc makes it clear that she wants to be more than a sibling to Shido, but she’s too afraid to tell him how she really feels about him. By the end of the arc, she’s now part of Shido’s harem.
447* OralFixation: She loves Chupa Chup lollipops and is often seen sucking on one. The reason behind why she does? She... [[NoodleIncident doesn't like to talk about it.]]
448* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: If Kotori's eyes turn blue, then she doesn't just act different, her voice changes too. This is because these eyes belong to Saya Yamada, the previous Efreet.
449* OvernightAgeUp: Only physically, after most of her body is destroyed by Minerva in the process of her Inversion, her Inverse Form’s stronger power causes her to permanently become older in appearance. Needless to say, Mana isn’t happy that Kotori is now taller and [[ACupAngst bustier than her.]]
450* PlayingWithFire: Her elemental affinity is fire, and unlike most spirits she can empower herself with her element. She doesn’t do this because the Tenguu Fire showed her how dangerous it can become.
451* PromotedToLoveInterest: Originally, she saw Shido like a big brother, but one day, long before the Tenguu Fire, a snowstorm made it impossible for her to get home from school. Not wanting her to suffer, Shido rushed through the snow just to help her get back home. From that day, Kotori didn’t see Shido as a brother anymore and fell in love with him. Her motivation for becoming a Spirit was even to gain the strength to confess to him.
452* ShesAllGrownUp: While she’s not any older biologically, her OvernightAgeUp ends up being this both physically and mentally for her.
453* SplitPersonality: Saya Yamada is this for her, as her consciousness somehow survived in the Camael crystal when she died. This is no longer the case by the Kurumi’s arc end when Saya fades from her mind and then is later revived by Rinne.
454* SuperPoweredEvilSide: Goes through this after Minerva hits her with a BreakingSpeech, except that Saya is the one getting it and she’s still locked inside her own mind, so she actually hasn’t been in her Inverse Form.
455* TokenMiniMoe: Starts out as this initially, but her Inverse Form eventually causes her to experience an OvernightAgeUp.
456* WalkingSpoiler: It’s hard to talk about what happens if her eyes turn blue without revealing the cause behind them.

462
463->Code Name: "Nightmare"/"Paradox" (In Inverse Form)/"Dream" (In Ethereal Form)\
464Angel: Zafkiel\
465Demon King: Lucifuge\

468
469Spirit No. 3, the Shadow Spirit and the fifth Spirit to appear overall. Kurumi Tokisaki is a girl from a rich yet kind family who met with Phantom 10 years ago and became the new [Nightmare] as a result, but apparently was quickly betrayed upon discovering Phantom had lied to her about everything, leading to her murdering her best friend, and then erased her memories to cover everything up. After restoring her memories, Kurumi swears to ruin all her efforts and begins a master plan to kill either Westcott or the First Spirit and change history for herself and the world.
470
471However as the events of her arc continue, it quickly becomes evident that Kurumi’s memories have been tampered with as we learn her best friend Saya Yamada became the Spirit [Efreet] of her own choice but was killed in an attempt to defend her from Ellen, which afterwards lead her to become Westcott’s subject for the Material A project. Using the clock on her back to gather power for a strange purpose, all while keeping the masquerade up to avoid revealing to Kurumi she’s just a pawn in his plan.
472
473----
474* AdaptationalCurves: Downplayed. Unlike Tohka or Origami who had a noticeable increase in breast size by non-aging up means, Kurumi's bust line is only increased to 87cm where her canon self is 85cm.
475* AdaptationalHeroism: Every bad thing she does is done via Westcott, even the deaths she causes aren't done by her hands, meaning kind and sweet girl we see her as in her Vol 16 flashbacks are her real self from the start.
476* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Gives one to her Inverse half, and she can't give an answer.
477* AsianFoxSpirit: While she's in the form of Tamamo-no-Mae during the Nia Storybook arc.
478* BlueAndOrangeMorality: She kills people, but she’s only shown doing this to scumbags, yet she does so in what’s implied to be in very sadistic ways. Yet all for the noble cause of changing the past through killing either the First Spirit or Westcott... yet out of hatred for Phantom for lying to her in her attempt to aid the First Spirit... it’s hard to tell if she’s more morally white or black. Becomes clear when Westcott’s been revealed to be indirectly manipulating her, and her more questionable acts are Westcott’s influence.
479** Her Astral Dress even reflects this, having orange as a secondary color when wearing it in its corrupted state under Westcott’s control, yet becoming light blue when she’s freed and in its purified state.
480* CastingAShadow: Manipulating shadows is her primary power, but uses it more like her secondary power while under Westcott’s control. Kurumi can use her own shadow to phase into the ground or walls, as well as summon white-colored ghastly hands (black-colored when in her Inverse Form). It also functions as storage, as she can store her clones and even other people within it.
481* CheerfulChild: As shown by Saya's flashbacks, she comes from a rich family who were very loving and raised her to be a kind and sweet girl. This starts forming doubts her cruel nature in the present, and these are proven when the truth about Westcott's manipulations are revealed.
482* ClonesArePeopleToo: The Rinne arc reveals her Nibellcole technique, her purified powers' version of her cloning ability. It summons up to four clones who have their own free will and personalities.
483* CosplayOtakuGirl: Considering she has a bit of LargeHam tendencies and the Nibelcolle clones all dress in exotic outfits, Kurumi has some shades of this, or at least used to in her younger years as a Spirit.
484* DarkIsNotEvil: Every awful, cruel, immortal and villainous act she's done? That's Westcott's influence on her, in fact he's the one actually killing everyone through the Cassiopeia.
485* DespairEventHorizon: The revelation that Westcott altered most of her memories and she's been an UnwittingPawn for years. Then to truly hammer it in, Westcott forces her Inversion, and Saya's consciousness finally vanishes as it happens.
486* DramaPreservingHandicap: It turns out all the power she has in canon is simply due to Westcott's Cassiopeia making her time element the more prominent and nerfing her shadow powers. Once she's freed, her true abilities, which are more shadow based, have replaced them.
487* EarlyBirdCameo: Before her official appearance, she shows up in one of Kotori's flashbacks.
488* EasilyForgiven: When she's freed of Westcott's control, everyone quickly forgives her and let her know she has every right to start over.
489* EasyAmnesia: During the Choronzon arc, its revealed Kurumi fought Mukuro while still under the Cassiopeia's influence about 5 years ago. When asked by Kotori in the Mukuro arc why she didn't remember this when it could have solved her identity much earlier, Kurumi says she can't remember and suggests Mukuro locked this memory away.
490* ElegantGothicLolita: Her Astral Dress invokes this with its black and crimson-orange frills, though she isn't a loli. This only applies to her corrupted Astral Dress however.
491* ExoticEyeDesigns: Along with her whitened pupils, her constantly-covered left eye is literally the face of a Victorian Pocket-Watch. Its the sign of Westcott's influence over her, it appears in both eyes when he takes complete control and both vanish when she's free of the Cassiopeia.
492* FashionableAsymmetry: Her bangs while she's in her usual hairstyle covers her [[MagicalEye left eye]], and as for her hairstyle while she's wearing her Astral Dress, her hair is longer on the left side than on the right. Once free from Westcott's control, she shifts her bangs to show both, but keeps the asymmetrical theme.
493* FreudianExcuse: Every bad thing she's done wasn't of her own doing, but the Cassiopeia automaton that Westcott uses to influence and later control her. In fact, she actually hasn't killed anyone, the clock always did this for her.
494%% * FriendToAllLivingThings: As long as that person isn't someone cruel, otherwise they're in serious trouble.
495* GunsAkimbo: Her Angel takes the form of flintlock pistol and a flintlock musket, representing the hour and minute hands of a clock. When purified, they're simply a long and short rifle that look as otherworldly as the other Angels do.
496* HeelFaceTurn: She was actually never a Heel to begin with, but she officially severs anything that connected her to one after Shido saves her form Westcott's control.
497* HidingBehindYourBangs: Doubles as an EyepatchOfPower. Covers her left eye when she doesn't want it seen, after being saved by Shido, she adjusts them to allow her left eye to be visible without changing her overall hairstyle.
498* KindHeartedCatLover: She loves cats, and even wanted one back when she was still Human, but unfortunately couldn't have one because her mom was allergic. She finally gets one when the cat she saves during her arc gets given to her as a moving in present.
499* LargeHam: The Natsumi arc shows she has a slight tendency to do this when making what she says a bit dramatic, it can be a bit embarrassing for her depending on what she ends up saying.
500* NewTransferStudent: How she's introduced compared to the other Spirits who before her had announced their arrivals by Spacequakes, in fact no one even knew she was a Spirit until she told the whole class.
501* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Kurumi occasionally refers to some of the Spirits by their code name, this is a sign of the fact that Westcott has been influencing them, as he never refers to a Spirit by their real names.
502* PetTheDog: Kurumi draws the line at killing innocent people, and only considers eating Shido as an unavoidable sacrifice for the sake of achieving her goals. This is because Westcott states it isn't easy to maintain a false reality, implying he had to avoid letting Kurumi do the direct killing, otherwise she'd notice she was being manipulated.
503* StoryBreakerPower: Kurumi's Inverse Form has power made specifically to be this to the point that it will never be used it again, at least in its corrupted state.
504* SuperPoweredEvilSide: Westcott uses the Cassiopeia to force her Inversion, just to guarantee it activates despite her already being in a state where she likely would have. The transformation is particularly chilling compared to the Inversions before it, making the scene showing Tohka's inversion from Chapter 2 even worse for her own.
505* TearsOfJoy: Upon realizing that Saya came back to life, she rushes over and sheds these the moment she lays eyes on her.
506* TheseHandsHaveKilled: She's taken the lives of nearly 10,000 when Mildred left the DEM, and 20,000 people by the time her arc finally happens. Subverted. While those people are dead, her hands didn't do it, Westcott's did via the Cassiopeia he attached to her so it could absorb their power for his own gain.
507* TimeMaster: Her secondary elemental affinity, but strangely used much more. This is because the Cassiopeia nerfs her shadow powers to enhance her time powers. Once free of it, her time powers get nerfed, some of her powers like time travel and consciousness transferal are outright removed from her arsenal.
508* TraumaButton: Seeing anyone who possesses the power of Efreet using the Megiddo at her gives her a panic attack. This is due to the false memory of Saya having turned into a fiery monster she killed, only realizing it was her after she killed her. When she discovers the lie, this stops affecting her.
509* TheUnfettered: When offered a Sephira Crystal by Phantom, she doesn't hesitate to accept it the point that Phantom didn’t even have the chance to warn her about the more serious consequences of accepting.
510* WakeUpCallBoss: Kurumi serves as a warning to the challenges that Shido will face later on when trying to save Nia and Mukuro, two other spirits who have similar StoryBreakerPower level abilities, and naturally unlike her time powers under the Cassiopeia's influence.
511* WalkingSpoiler: It’s hard to talk about Kurumi without revealing the real reason for her actions in the present.
512* TheWorfEffect: Gets hit hard with this after Shido saves her, just to show how much Westcott enhanced her time powers with the Cassiopeia compared to her actual abilities without it.

522Archangel: Sariel\
523Astral Dress: Adonai Tzabaoth
524
525Spirit No. 7, the Mimicry Spirit and the sixth Spirit to appear overall. Natsumi is a much older Spirit than the others, having been given the Haniel Crystal as an adult unlike the others who received their's as a teenager. Upon meeting Shido, she appears to be quite friendly, making it seem like Shido will have better success with sealing her so far... unfortunately, things quickly go wrong when the DEM's Adeptus 4-12 appear to attack her.
526
527The end result is a missile hitting her, and in the process she mistakes Shido for discovering a secret he never actually saw, causing her to Inverse and declare she will end him as she drags him and all his friends into a twisted game to assure her secret stays a secret. Eventually, Tohka manages to win the game, and said secret is revealed to be she's actually a child.
528
529She ends up fleeing after, and nearly gets killed by the same wizards, but Tohka saves her life and manages to become her friend. When she still faces doubts after joining Ratatoskr and moving into the Takamiya Household, Shido takes her on a date and helps her finally find the true closure she needed after saving her from classmates of his that are former tormentors of hers. Eventually, its revealed she's actually a teenager and Haniel de-aged to help her learn an important lesson when it feared where her negative thoughts might lead her.
530
531----
532* AchillesHeel: Downplayed, but she claims that she can't decide what someone looks like if she changes their gender or alters their age because they're transformed into what they'd actually look like in those forms.
533* AdaptationalBadass: Sort of. The powers of the Haniel Crystal were less powerful in the Spirit Dimension due to its nature as an energy world, but they become much more powerful on Earth due to the matter and mass present on it, although she's still only as powerful as in canon.
534* BerserkButton: Has a secret she refuses to let anyone know about, and unfortunately whatever it is... the fact Shido, who she was actually beginning to trust, seeing it ends up being enough to cause her Inversion.
535* CassandraTruth: Before she became a Spirit, despite how beautiful she was, she never tried using her looks for her benefit. No one ever believed her.
536* CuteWitch: Her true form, being only a child. Unfortunately to her, this form of hers is ugly due to her DarkAndTroubledPast. Subverted when it turns out Haniel made this her default form to help her realize that it doesn't matter how she looks, but what people see on the inside of her.
537* DarkAndTroubledPast: The reason she believes her true form is ugly and she doesn't want to be seen in it? Because she was abused by some people who used words that made it sound like that. As a result, she began to believe she truly was ugly. Turns out the events that led to the above came from her true form, which is actually a shorter version of her adult form, being shunned for its beauty and Natsumi attempting to use it to her advantage when she honestly wasn't. It got so bad, she actually stated she'd rather be ugly if it meant people wouldn't shun her, forcing Haniel to intervene for her sake.
538* EarlyBirdCameo: Appears in Chapter 22, noticing the ripple from Rinne’s revival wave spread through the world. Makes another two during the Rinne arc, responding to Rinne's words before and after her "death".
539* FireForgedFriends: After everything she did, Tohka ignores it all just to come to her aid, making Tohka this for her and the first real friend she's ever had. She soon becomes this with Shido after he saves her from some of his nastier classmates who were former tormentors of hers, and shortly after this develops into her falling in love with him.
540* FlyingBroomStick: Her Angel takes the form of this, but looks like it comes from the future like all other Angels, its even noted that the broom part resembles the parts of the Fraxinus where the Yggdrafolium Realizers are placed.
541* FreudianExcuse: Her overreaction to her true form being seen is because of what some people did and said to her in the past, making her believe what was said about it being ugly. The reason she reacts to what people say about her appearance and how she's seen in general stems from her true form being shunned for its beauty, even though Natsumi was such a sweet girl.
542* TheGadfly: Isn't afraid to tease people, even using the fact that she hugged Shido into her breasts intentionally to tease him on how boys tend to usually think girls will get angry or hurt them for causing/ending up in such a situation. She only teases about things that aren't true though, as when she joked about Shido enjoying his time as Shiori, she stops the moment she realizes he actually does.
543* HiddenDepths: Tohka notices upon seeing her eyes directly that there's some kind of pain hiding within them, its revealed upon learning her backstory.
544* HotWitch: As noted by Shido, she's a living version of pretty much ideal woman trait, and has a witch themed Astral Dress. In fact ''Witch'' is even her code name. Subverted later when its revealed she's a child and actually a CuteWitch, and then Double Subverted when it turns out this is her actual form, only not as tall as when Shido first meets her.
545* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Natsumi was so lonely, and just wanted a friend, something she felt Shido could be. Problem is she felt seeing her true form would make this impossible. She finally gets a friend in Tohka when she says she doesn't care how she looks. Then Shido becomes her second and then falls in love with him, this helps her learn the lesson Haniel was trying to teach her and finally grants this wish completely.
546* IOweYouMyLife: Tohka didn't just save her life, but told her she didn't care how she looked, the fact Tohka even came her save her in the first place was enough she believed her. Later becomes this to Shido when he saves her from some of his worse classmates and some of her former tormentors, even after she ran away.
547* MagicMirror: Her Angel's ''Yata no Kagami'' form is this, and can store objects and people. Everything living that gets trapped within will be stuck in stasis, but unlike Rinne and Rio's, there's no stopping or slowing of time for whoever's trapped within them.
548* MasterOfDisguise: She has the power to shapeshift anyone or anything into something else, regardless if they're living or non-living, even being able to turn one into the other without danger. Thanks to mimicry skills, she's able to turn into someone and fool people into believing she's the real deal. Its not perfect though, as Tohka found her out when she disguised herself as Shido due to her smelling too pretty for a boy.
549* MeaningfulName: Her last name Itsuwari has various meanings like "False", "Fiction", and "Fabrication" which reflect her powers.
550* MsFanservice: Her introduction makes it clear she's this, Shido even noting her appearance is pretty much every ideal and perfect woman's best traits combined. The moment her ShamelessFanserviceGirl traits expose themselves, this gets taken up a notch.
551* OnlyOneName: Like Yoshino, she starts this way, but eventually is given a last name by Ratatoskr for her citizenship status.
552* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Shido notices she looks a bit sad when she starts asking him if she's beautiful, confusing him because anyone who saw her would claim she's obviously this due to her appearance. Her backstory shows exactly why she has strong doubts on her looks.
553* OvernightAgeUp: Inverted, turns out like Yoshino, her true form is a teenager. However due to her powers it gets a bit confusing at first where she has an older form, yet her true form is apparently a child, only for Haniel to reveal the older form is her true form it sealed away as a SecretTestOfCharacter.
554* PowerCopying: Natsumi can use her Angel's ''Kaleidoscope'' form to copy an Angel, but its noted to be weaker than the copies made by Shido's Spirit Ascensions, nor can they use said Angel's alternative forms. Its also noted that her mimicry ability is so strong, she can retain any physical skills from the people she mimics.
555* SecretTestOfCharacter: Haniel does this so she learns not to let others judge her by appearace and to let them judge her by who she is, doing so causes her to regain her true form.
556* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: She hugged Shido into her breasts, and when he asks her if she's aware, confirms it was on purpose. She even states she finds it dumb how everyone thinks girls will automatically get angry or hurt guys just for touching a girl's breasts by default. When she's finally sealed, she doesn't even show any embarrassment to her clothes disappearing.
557* SuperpoweredEvilSide: When she thinks Shido saw her secret, she ends up Inverting from the event. This was because she felt like she just lost the trust she formed with Shido, where anyone else who had was a DEM member she knew not to trust, making Shido seeing it much worse for her.
558* TokenMiniMoe: Her true form is this, around the same age as Yoshino. Turns out it isn't, just like with Yoshino, but for a different reason.
559* TookALevelInCheerfulness: By the end of her arc, she's become much more cheerful and idealistic than her canon counterpart.
560* TraumaButton: Her true form is this because of what people did to her, making her believe it was ugly. As such if anyone sees it... she ends up doing everything she can to make them suffer. Luckily by the end of her arc, she grows out of this thanks to Tohka and Shido.
561* UnstoppableRage: Seeing her secret was enough that she went from instantly trusting Shido to wanting him dead and entering her Inverse Form for assuming he had.
562* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: Tohka tells her that the fact she's crying out of guilt for what she did proves she's not a bad person, Natsumi breaks down in tears over this because Tohka didn't care about anything she did.
563** This ends up being a lesson Haniel wanted her to learn for her sake when everyone's cruel comments started to concern him shortly after she became a Spirit.

576
577Spirit No. 8-A and 8-B, the Storm Spirits and the seventh Spirit (counting both as one) to appear overall. They were originally one entity: Yamai. However, for reasons unknown got split into two upon their original accepting the Raphael Crystal: Kaguya and Yuzuru. These 2 have very distinctive personalities, and the original personality is gone.
578
579Knowing that one day they'll need to become a single Spirit again, the duo have been fighting 99 times to determine who is the real Yamai's body and personality will become. Each of them with 25 wins each and 49 draws. Upon seeing Shido, they agree that their 100th and final battle will be to see who Shido will fall in love with.
580
581However after a brief tag team moment in a volleyball game shows their true selves, Tohka talks with both of them and learns they were never a single being and have always been twins since they were human... but their powers are threatening to kill them both and only one of them can survive, and they've tried in vain to find a way for both of them to live.
582
583!The twins share the following tropes:
584----
585* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: They initially appear to hate one another, but when they tag team for the volley ball game, they suddenly get along great and drop their usual speech. Tohka decides to talk to both of them privately and learns they've always been two beings, and they don't want to lose each other, but are faced with the grim truth that one has to die or both will, yet both would rather die with the other. When Shido's sealing saves them both, it makes them very happy.
586* BlowYouAway: Both have control over wind, and are introduced by brewing a hurricane when fighting over who will be the real Yamai for the 100th time. Their Inverse Forms cause a hurricane just by existing even!
587* BraidsOfAction: They both have braids in the back of their head, but each one has theirs worn a certain way. Kaguya's is hung over one of her shoulders and is messier, while Yuzuru's stays behind her back and is more neatly combed.
588* ChainedByFashion: Their Inverse Form's Astral dresses have manacles on one leg and one arm, with broken chains. The positioning shows that had there been a single possessor of their powers, they would have been chained to each other.
589* ClingyJealousGirl: They have a tendency to grab Shido's arms (Kaguya the left and Yuzuru the right) and huge their breasts into them, and usually the two argue a bit when they do this as a result. At least while under their masquerade, the end of their arc drops the jealousy part completely.
590* CombinationAttack: If they can do something as a tag team, they will. This is also the main point of Raphael's El Kanaph form, combining both of their Raphael's into a single stronger bow.
591* EarlyBirdCameo: Both of them appear in Chapter 22, noticing the ripple from Rinne’s revival wave spread through the world. They both make another two during the Rinne arc, responding to Rinne's words before and after her "death".
592* TheGloriousWarOfSisterlyRivalry: The relationship between the twins became this after Yamai split in two, with each sister trying to gain the right to become the true Yamai. The war ends up being a farce, their duels were their attempts to kepe them both alive and later delay the inevitable demise of one of them.
593* HeroicSacrifice: Both tell Tohka they'd rather let the other live, showing how much the twins love one another. Turns out that neither wants to pull this as they both admit they'd rather die with each other as it would be too painful for them to live without the other.
594* HesitantSacrifice: They've tried to find a solution that saves them both to no avail, and still can't bare to decide who should be sacrificed to save the other. Shido's sealing ability luckily saves them both.
595* TheImmodestOrgasm: When Shido applies suntan lotion on them at the beach.
596* [[LightningBruiser Lightning Bruisers]]: They are the fastest of the Spirits and pack a punch, Kaguya especially as she's the more athletic and physical fit of the twins. The only thing that prevents it from being literal is that while they can create storms, these storms can't produce lightning.
597* LiteralSplitPersonality: They were originally a single spirit. However this is later stated to be a lie, what really happened was Rio offered Yuzuru the Raphael Sephira Crystal, but Kaguya tried to stop her and somehow both ended up bonding to it.
598* LivingEmotionalCrutch: To each other. After becoming Spirits, they were all each other had left, and things were fine... until they learned the Raphael Crystal was getting too powerful and if one of them didn't die, both would die and set off a Spacequake as a result. After being sealed, they're still this because of all the time they spent worrying one of them would have to die and not wanting to leave each othe.
599* [[NewTransferStudent New Transfer Students]]: They're stated to be this as a cover up by Rinne to explain their sudden appearance and why they snuck into the school trip. After being sealed they become this for real.
600* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: When they celebrate after teaming up to score a point, the two look quite happy gazing at each other despite having shown hatred for each other prior to this. Tokha finds this odd and asks both to meet her in private, and she learns that the way they've acted before now is where this trope really applies. They do it as a self-defense mechanism as they decide who will survive... because they've tried and failed to find a way to both live.
601* PowerGivesYouWings: Subverted. The two wings on their outfits are simply the standby form for each of their Raphael copies, it wasn't until they tried attacking the Arbatel they had ever used them. After they did, the wings vanish for good.
602* PolarOppositeTwins: Kaguya is brash, hotheaded, idiotic, emotional and the more physically fit twin. While Yuzuru is calm, snarky, quiet, stoic and the more intelligent twin. When they drop their acts, Kaguya's still the more athletic and Yuzuru the more intelligent, but its more accurate to call them an extrovert and introvert respectively.
603* PowerIncontinence: A storm appears whenever they do because of the use of their powers. For their Inverse Forms, a storm appears just for simply existing.
604* RedOniBlueOni: Kaguya is the Red and Yuzuru is the Blue. Their Astral Dresses, to an extent, are colored in a similar manner; Kaguya's is pink-red (or purple when Inverted) and Yuzuru's is blue. While Inverted, this shows even more as Kaguya's winds gain fiery attributes and Kaguya's gain icy attributes.
605* [[ShamelessFanserviceGirl Shameless Fanservice Girls]]: Both of them are quite forward in their attempt to seduce Shido, but unlike Natsumi they do have a limit as neither was comfortable with Shido seeing them naked.
606* {{Stripperiffic}}: When they're in their Inverse Forms, their Astral Dresses really stretch the definition due to being based on a stripper/dominatrix outfit.
607* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Due to the nature of sharing the Raphael Crystal, the intense stress of how they feel for one another causes both of them to undergo an Inversion at the same time. They also actively try to kill each other, where before it was just an act.
608* TwinThreesomeFantasy: Where the other Spirits would prefer occasional time with Shido and themselves, Kaguya and Yuzuru want the other twin present when with Shido. Considering how long they were forced to deal with the prospect of having to sacrifice one another, it makes sense they'd rather stay together.
609
610!Kaguya Yamai
611----
612* AdaptationalCurves: Unlike her canon counterpart who has PetitePride, she's as busty as Yuzuru is.
613* GenkiGirl: She's described as outgoing and outspoken, to the point of being childish at times. When Tohka gets her to drop the act, turns out she's not as childish as first thought.
614* JoustingLance: Her Raphael's alternate form, El Re'em form. It's basically a big red lance.
615* LargeHam: Her whole speech is apparently Chuuni talk. Turns out it isn't, its a self defense mechanism she formed due to the fact she might have to see Yuzuru die if she's the surviving twin. Before this, she was seen dropping it temporarily after sensing Rinne's "death" and drops it completely by the end of the Yamai arc.
616* RedOniBlueOni: The red to her sister’s blue.
617
618!Yuzuru Yamai
619----
620* ChainPain: Her Raphael's alternate form, El Na'ash. While it's actually a pendulum, it becomes a long chain the moment she summons it.
621* DeadpanSnarker: For all her calm behaviour, she sure likes to throw harsh insults at Kaguya with a straight face. When Tohka gets her to drop the act, its quickly shown she doesn't actually like to snark.
622* RedOniBlueOni: The blue to her sister’s red.
623* TerseTalker: Her whole speech works by starting all her sentences with a word expressing the nature of her phrase beforehand and then actually saying it. Turns out it isn't, its a self defense mechanism she formed due to the fact she might have to see Kaguya die if she's the surviving twin. Before this, she was seen dropping it temporarily after sensing Rinne's "death" and drops it completely by the end of the Yamai arc.

635
636Spirit No. 9, the Sound Spirit and the eighth Spirit to appear overall. She first appears after a yearly absence on both Ratatoskr and the DEM's radars the day after Nia vanishes, upon going to Tenguu Arena, Shido sees her and Maria confirms she's the popular new idol known as Miku Izayoi. Unfortunately, when trying to speak to her, Miku responds to him quite violently.
637
638It turns out Miku hates men for some reason and is romantically interested in women, which as a result forces Natsumi to change Shido into a girl named Shiori to have any chance of sealing her. However, when Miku realizes Shiori's not a normal human and she shares the benefits of sealing, Miku's shown to be a sociopath who doesn't care about people, seeing them as puppets. This forces Shiori to challenge her to a contest to have a chance at sealing her.
639
640To her surprise, Shido's team beats her because her voice made her school not focus on their entertainment and food service which cost them too many points. Unable to handle it, she Inverts and turns everyone but Tohka against Shido, and reveals she knew he was Shiori all along... unfortunately this lets Ellen kidnap him and seeing Tohka cry causes her to realize what she's become. When the Spirits go to save Shido, after a long struggle and reminded her of her past self, Miku decides to start over by helping them rescue Shido.
641
642----
643* AchillesHeel: Her voice won't be able to brainwash someone if they can't hear it, regardless if she’s in her normal or Inverse form.
644* AffablyEvil: Doesn’t realize despite her politeness, she’s become much more sinister in nature in the year she’s been a Spirit for until she makes Tohka cry, which removes the veil covering her eyes.
645* AffectionateNickname: Occasionally she calls Shido "Darling" after she falls in love with him, especially if they’re alone. The only reason she doesn’t do it all the time is because the rest of Shido’s harem always refer to Shido by his name rather than a pet name, and don’t want Miku to have an exception.
646* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Tohka protecting her from Inverse Tohka and telling her she’s a good person, and her words to Miku after she shares her story, combined with the other Spirits’ answers to what Shido and Tohka would do if the other was in danger, has a LoveEpiphany she decides to aid them and pulls a HeelFaceTurn. She also realizes she fell in love with Shido even after realizing he had been Shiori beforehand because he had honestly been trying to help her, even after she lost their contest, and because Tohka’s efforts made her believe entrusting herself to him was worth it.
647* BerserkButton: Due to her FreudianExcuse, she refuses to be around men if she’s not required. Her reaction to Shido on their first meeting and realizing he was part of Raizen High’s organizer group is an example of when she isn’t and is limited by the situation. After she falls in love with Shido, it becomes Westcott upon learning that Edgar F. Carroll of the DEM was producer that ruined her career, and that Westcott had her career ruined intentionally so Phantom would make her the new Diva and predict her movements, only failing cause she dropped her stage name and hid herself from the public.
648* BrokenBird: She was an up and coming idol who only wanted to share the music she made, with fame and fortune the last thing she cared about, but when she turned down a producer's offer to have sex and not become a TV star, he ruins her career out of spite. Her attempt to restart her singing career fails due to the stress making her lost her voice. She nearly considers suicide until she meets Phantom, who offers the Gabriel Crystal and tells her it can restore her voice. She accepts, but over time she forgets what her wish had really been and starts falling into a FaceHeelTurn without even realizing it, and uses her powers to manipulate people with it, becoming more popular than ever. It takes seeing Tohka make the same face she did after losing her voice for her to [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone finally realize what she had become.]]
649* CareerResurrection: In-universe, after Phantom gave her a magic voice she returns to being an Idol Singer, this time using her real name and not revealing herself to the public. After she’s sealed, she decides to make a public confession to her previous identity by singing one of her old songs, truly restarting her career as it was when it began.
650* CompellingVoice: She's able to make people do what she wants with her voice, after being sealed she mentions she's altered it to simply give people the urge to do what she asks instead of forcing it, no longer enjoying the feeling of forcing her commands.
651* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Light indigo hair and eyes.
652* DarkAndTroubledPast: It's shown in a TroubledBackstoryFlashback that Miku was a rising idol in Japan. Then, a producer ruined her career after she rejected his advances. If that wasn't bad enough, she lost her singing abilities after attempting to restart her career. These actions led to her having a FaceHeelTurn. It gets worse as we learn the producer was Edgar of the DEM, and he intended to ruin her either way due to Westcott’s orders to try and lead her to becoming a Spirit.
653* DefrostingIceQueen: Sweet and expressive towards women, but was cold and haughty towards men, especially after her FaceHeelTurn. Doesn't actually like or trust either gender, she just prefers to be around women and use them as her PeoplePuppets. But Tohka pulls a BigDamnHeroes moment after suffering a HeelRealization and HeroicBSOD, and this combined with several other factors eventually prompts her HeelFaceTurn that makes her aid the other Spirits in saving Shido.
654* DespairEventHorizon: Seriously considers suicide after falling out show biz and losing her voice while attempting to restart her singing career. Only Phantom's appearance and her transformation into a Spirit prevents it. These factors would contribute to her FaceHeelTurn. Enters another one after losing the Ten-Oh Festival's overall ranking by a single point and making her Inverse, and then a third after seeing Tohka’s face after Shido’s kidnapped and has a HeelRealization. Also has a minor fourth one when Nia reveals that the producer that ruined her was a DEM agent and was going to ruin her anyway due to Westcott.
655* DoesNotLikeMen: Has a Freudian Excuse for it, given a male producer ruined her career as Tsukino Yoimachi when she refused to have sex with him, and her how quickly her mostly male fans believed the rumors and turned against her. She eventually warms up to Shido during his time as Shiori, and after her HeelFaceTurn and Ratatoskr finding the proof at the DEM HQ that proved the fraud, becomes willing to trust them after she sings to admit her true identity and finds all of her former fans cheering for her again.
656* DrivenToSuicide: Before Phantom approached her and turned her into a Spirit.
657* EvenEvilHasStandards: When Shido (as Shiori) mentions she's not being discreet about scoping out Raizen's side of the fesitval, she claims that even she has lines she won’t cross, such as direct killing. It takes her a while to realize she’s already crossed a few lesser, but still notably bad lines she shouldn’t have.
658* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Before her HeelFaceTurn, she believes everyone just looks out for themselves, and doesn’t bother listening to anything Shido (as Shiori) says about how morally wrong it is as a result. This changes the moment she sees Tohka’s face after Ellen manages to kidnap Shido, making her have a HeelRealization about what she’s become. Afterwards she believes she’s beyond redemption and no one will or should help her, but when Tohka ends up doing so and tells her she’s better than she thinks, it convinces her to pull a HeelFaceTurn.
659* EvilDiva: While her initial attitude acts like this, her Inverse Form is this entirely.
660* FaceHeelTurn: After a TV producer ruins her career just for not agreeing to have sex with him, she ends up JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope from there.
661* FromNobodyToNightmare: Went from an up-and-coming idol singer to a Spirit who could and would brainwash everyone with her voice.
662* FreudianExcuse: She’s not really evil or uncaring as she looks, she simply can’t trust anyone after the betrayals she had from her fans after her career was ruined, yet her wish was to find someone who would accept her despite what happened. It takes her remembering this and many other factors for her to finally make a HeelFaceTurn.
663* HeelFaceTurn: After Tohka rescues her from Inverse Tohka, Miku finally returns to the side of good, and just in time to help rescue Shido.
664* HeelRealization: When her career was ruined and then her voice was lost forever, she silently screamed into a mirror and cried in a way she's had burned into her memory and linked to her TraumaButton. After her actions play a part in Shido being kidnapepd by Ellen, she sees this same face on Tohka. The shock of seeing someone else make it, and being involved in making it [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone is what finally makes her realize]] what she's let herself become.
665* HumanizingTears: When Tohka rescues her from Inverse Tohka’s attack, she tells Tohka to just leave her because of how horrible she had become. When Tohka refuses and tells her the fact she realized what she had done and feeling regret over it is proof she’s a good person and deserves a second chance, she sheds these over the fact that not just Tohka, but everyone else was willing to forgive her.
666* IdolSinger: The central theme of her entire character, it’s part of her tragic backstory, what led to her becoming a Spirit, and why she was the perfect choice to be the holder of the Gabriel Crystal. By the epilogue, she's become the greatest idol in the world.
667* IfItsYouItsOkay: Due to preferring girls while being unable to trust anyone, Miku has no romantic interest in men, with Shido the only boy she likes romantically. She does tend to flirt with the rest of his harem and prefers for him to transform into Shiori during dates and certain situations, the latter being justified by how Miku's known to be a lesbian to the public and to avoid people recognizing Shido.
668* ILoveYouBecauseICantControlYou: When she tells Shido (as Shiori) that she can make the entire world love her if she chooses to, he replies that its only fake and that he would always remind her of this because her power doesn't work on him. This causes her to tell him that she only wants him more now because of that, and what causes her to genuinely love Shido after her HeelFaceTurn.
669* IncompatibleOrientation: After falling for Shido, she ends up flirting with the rest of Shido’s harem often enough to their discomfort, often with Tohka in particular due to being the one who led to her HeelFaceTurn.
670* JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope: She goes from agonizing over a TV producer ruining her career and losing her voice to an EvilDiva who can mind-control people without a problem.
671* KnewItAllAlong: The moment Shido (as Shiori) mentions about sealing her powers to her, Miku realizes she's the same boy who she ran into the other day, but doesn't reveal this until after she's Inverted.
672* LackOfEmpathy: At first, she doesn’t get why Shido considers what she’s doing wrong, but when Tohka cries out and makes a familiar face to the one she made after her career was ruined after Shido’s kidnapped (which she indirectly causes), that empathy returns through her HeelRealization.
673* LoveEpiphany: Has one alongside her HeelFaceTurn when she realizes why she still hung out with Shido after realizing he and Shiori were the same being before making their contest instead of admitting she KnewItAllAlong.
674* MagicMusic: Her Spirit powers grant her power over anything related to sound, and given her tenure as an idol, she prominently uses her music to her advantage.
675* MakeMeWannaShout: Her primary attack is a sonic scream.
676* MindControlMusic: Due to her elements as a Spirit being Sound and Mind, she’s able to control people through her voice. It doesn't work on everyone however, Spirits are affected but will shrug it off, though if Miku's inverted, they need their Astral Dresses on or it will work, certain CR-Units with protection against it, and anyone who's outright immune like Rinne and Ellen.
677* MusicalAssassin: In her Inverse Form, her voice can be used silently if she wanted to, she's never seen doing this though.
678* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: It takes making Tohka cry her heart out for her to finally realize how horrible she's become due to abusing her powers, but not enough to fully cement her HeelFaceTurn because of the guilt overshadowing the thought of making amends.
679* SoreLoser: Subverted. When it seems like she can't accept losing to teamwork, she seems to act like this... but it’s actually a relapse to her DarkAndTroubledPast and the first warning sign to her Inverting. Shido (as Shiori) tries to calm her down, but fails, leading to her inversion.
680* StageName: Went by the stage name Tsukino Yoimachi until her career was ruined. When she returned to the stage after becoming a Spirit, she uses her true name instead, and continues to do so after revealing her former identity.
681* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Enters her Inverse Form upon losing to Shido’s group, though by this point she was already facing enough stress from some of Shido’s words to her that she was close to doing it regardless.
682* TookALevelInJerkass: Unknowingly goes through this after gaining her powers, it takes a HeelRealization for her to finally realize this.
683* TookALevelInKindness: Tohka saving her live even after all she did ends up making he a better person, or rather turns her back into the person she used to be.
684* TraumaButton: Seems oddly obsessed with having everyone adore her with her powers, and that’s because she is. Losing to Shido and his harem pushes her into an inversion because she feels like she’s going to lose her career again despite the powers she has now, this was the reason she refused to have her powers sealed and what leads to her Inversion.
685* UnscaledMerfolk: While she's in the form of a Mermaid during the Nia Storybook arc.
686* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: By capturing all of the other Spirits with her MindControl Music, she left them all too weak to help an exhausted Tohka stop Ellen from kidnapping Shido.
687* UsedToBeASweetKid: She was previously Tsukino Yoimachi, an up and coming idol. She turned down a producer's offer to do This and That, and he spread false rumors that turned her audience away from her. The trauma is so bad that she lost her voice and contemplated suicide, it took Rio appearing in her Phantom disguise to stop her and restoring her voice via the Gabriel Crystal to stop it, but her powers indirectly cause her to make a FaceHeelTurn.
688* WeaksauceWeakness: Covering her mouth leaves her completely helpless.

701Spirit No. 2, the Imagination Spirit and the ninth Spirit to appear overall. She's also the famous author and artist of "Silver Bullet", a incredibly popular manga series, Souji Hasegawa. She follows the heroes throughout the fanfic's second season before getting close to them and seeing Shido's actions first hand. Unfortunately she doesn't believe he's ready to seal her powers and leaves after revealing herself to him.

When its proven to be the former, her backstory is slowly unveiled when her past trauma causes her to do the exact opposite of her original intention. After reaching to Nia and helping her learn to finally forgive herself, she lets Shido seal her power and entrusts them with the final Spirit's identity.
704
705----
706* AdaptationalCurves: Her canon form is a disguised form, so when she takes off her glasses she's revealed to actually be quite buxom (being 92cm) and curvy underneath. It helps make her disguise more convincing.
707* AdaptationalHairstyleChange: Like Origami, she has long hair for the majority of her screen time as opposed to having short hair like the source material.
708* AdaptationNameChange: Not her, but her Angel, so that it was spelt the same as its namesake like the other Spirits' Angels.
709* AuthorAvatar: She designed Silver Bullet's protagonist, Fatima, after herself. her mentor Souji allowed it as thanks for helping making Silver Bullet actually happen.
710* BerserkButton: People like Westcott and the members of Ratatoskr's Round Table are the kind of people she despises most.
711* BigDamnHeroes: The reason Ratatoskr stopped the third Humpty Dumpty satellite was because she used Raziel to guarantee their chances of destroying it.
712* CassandraTruth: Downplayed. Warns Shido in a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech that he's not ready to seal her, while everyone listens to her... they don't listen well enough, leading Ratatoskr to realize the DEM's been adapting while they kept sticking with what succeeded and suffer a horrible defeat by them when they kidnap Shido in the Miku arc.
713* ClarkKenting: Subverted. While her disguise as Souji Hasegawa is just wearing glasses, these glasses are a creation of Raziel's that change her figure into the appearance she has in canon, making her unrecognizable unless one's seen her change back to normal. The end of the Shido Countdown arc reveals that Souji Hasegawa is a real individual, namely... her mentor and Raziel's predecessor. She's acting as a person who was killed, and still does so when she's revived because Souji lost her memories in a permanent manner, which technically means the Souji she knew is still dead.
714* ConvenientReplacementCharacter: Due to being a Co-Creator of Silver Bullet, she was able to make sure the series got published by using Raziel's powers to create a way to disguise herself as Souji, keeping the public from learning of her death.
715* DarkAndTroubledPast: Nia doesn't have the best view of Humanity, stating in the Shido Countdown arc to have lost hope in mankind long ago. Turns out her alias, Souji Hasegawa, is her predecessor and Mentor in both name and body, but was killed due to being a Spirit, and worse? There were people watching could have helped her survive if they had actually tried to help her... but no one did.
716* DeusExMachina: Can sometimes cause these with Raziel, depending on what events she can manipulate through it.
717* EarlyBirdCameo: Appears in Chapter 22, noticing the ripple from Rinne’s revival wave spread through the world. Makes another two during the Rinne arc, responding to Rinne's words before and after her "death".
718* FaceHeelTurn: Downplayed, but after her TraumaButton goes off, she starts opposing Shido and the other Spirits because her anger causes her to become unreasonable.
719* TheGadfly: She is incredibly teasing, often causing something to happen just for laughs, and unlike Natsumi who has standards for how far she goes, the ending of the Choronzon arc implies she does not. Justified because as she writes a popular manga, she's gotta be tricky to stay unpredictable for her readers and fans.
720* GreatBigBookOfEverything: What Raziel is, and unlike her canon counterpart, she can actually make what she draws come to life, albeit temporarily. Her glasses are the only exception to this.
721* GondorCallsForAid: Asks Mukuro to help them rescue Shido by mentioning Choronzon will likely come after her for her powers, causing Mukuro to aid them indirectly.
722* HeelFaceTurn: Downplayed because she wasn't really much of a Heel. Upon getting through to her, Nia finally lets go of her guilt and asks Shido to make her believe, sealing her status as one of the good guys with a kiss.
723* HeroicBSOD: Seeing the Spirits save Tenguu City's people as a higher priority than stopping the Dainsleif is something she can't seem to accept or comprehend due to her DarkAndTroubledPast.
724* HiddenBuxom: Her disguised form works like this, as she makes herself appear flat when she's using it. Later justified when it's learned the disguise is the form of her mentor Souji Hasegawa.
725* HopeSpot: When Souji is revived by Rinne's revival wave, she feels she can regain her faith in humanity and goes to see her... only to learn her memory is gone forever, and she doesn't remember her. Later subverted, while a bit limited in how, Souji realizes in the time since her visit she does remember Nia, and that's enough for Nia to at least find some peace.
726* InsistentTerminology: Unless she's good friends with a certain invidual, she'll refer to them by what they are, such as only calling Shido as "boy". She justifies this by the fact she has so many fans and too many names to learn.
727* ItsAllMyFault: Ultimately, her entire HeroicBSOD and TraumaButton come from the guilt of not being able to save Souji, and her actions during the Nia Storybook were because of the mental stress it brought her, rather than anything malicious.
728* ItsPersonal: When she discovers what the Dainsleif is meant to do, she uses Raziel to change things up so the Round Table's plans won't go their way. Due to her TraumaButton, after seeing the Spirits act like she was hoping they would at the end of the Shido Countdown arc, she traps every Spirit in her Ashufiriya world, intending for them to see they can't challenge the world as she views it.
729* KickTheSonOfABitch: Because of how the Round Table made the Dainsleif without Elliot's permission and tried to fire it immediately, completely ruining their plans ends up as this. Especially since she intended to make the Dainsleif self-destruct if things start to getting too serious.
730* LegacyCharacter: She's the second wielder of Raziel, and one of the only two Spirits with a known past wielder. Souji Hasegawa was her predecessor and also her mentor.
731* MasterOfDisguise: Wears glasses that disguise her as her canon appearance, which is the form she uses as her alias, Souji Hasegawa. Turns out to be even more of a disguise when Souji Hasegawa is not only a real person, but the former Raziel user and the real creator of Silver Bullet. She destroys them right before undergoing her Inversion.
732* TheOmniscient: What Raziel's power basically is, provided that she can actually read the answer she gets. The one limit it has is that some of what she asks appears in the language of the Spirits, and Rinne is the only one who knows this language.
733* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: A lot of her actions during the Shido Countdown arc show her as this, which is revealed at the end when she reveals that the name Souji Hasegawa is more than a mere alias.
734* {{Otaku}}: She loves anime, manga and video games.
735* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Downplayed since its not meant to be malicious, but she bluntly tells Shido she won't let him seal her because luck has pretty much been what's allowed him to seal the others, even proving it by having Raziel manipulate fate to have him either kiss her or miss her after slipping on paper, and he misses her. Considering the powers of herself and the last two spirits... she had good reason to say this to him, especially due to what happens in the Miku arc. Gives another to Tohka when she blames Nia for everything that went wrong in the Miku arc, which helps Tohka get out of her funk and actually try to save him.
736* RecurringCharacter: She pops up a lot during Season 2, but most of the characters don't know about her or the fact that she's been following them until she introduces herself to Shido later on.
737** During Natsumi's arc, she notices Tohka and Natsumi together and comments on their new friendship, then later changes a 0% of stopping the third Humpty Dumpty satellite into 100% by causing a fatal crack for Tohka to destroy.
738** During the Yamai arc, she notes the Yamai twins' appearance and causes all of Shido's jealous male classmates to slip on the floor and crash into a wall upon the revelation he has a harem. Then mentions something to indicate her arc is next.
739** Shows up to aid everyone at the end of the Miku arc, and stays with them for all of the Choronzon arc, leaving after everything's over. Though the epilogue shows her causing Shido's harem to interrupt a kiss between him and Tohka.
740* RedHerring: The end of the Yamai arc implies she's considering to let Shido seal her, but it ends up being a test and becomes the only Spirit that Shido fails to seal on his first attempt with them.
741* SecretKeeper: For Mukuro's identity, refusing to mention anything about her to the others during the Choronzon arc, leaving them unaware of who the last Spirit is until she reveals it after Shido seals her powers.
742* SecretTestOfCharacter: The events of the Shido Counterdown arc happen because she wants to test how serious Shido and the others are about finding Mukuro when Shido mentions she might be the sister of one of his friends. The test is to see if they're truly serious about helping, or if they're just doing it out of convenience. They pass... but Nia reacts opposite from how she intended to as a result of her TraumaButton.
743* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: She doesn't seem to have any sense of shame, as after Shido wakes up from saving Mukuro from atmospheric reentry, she asks him if he'd like to rub her breasts. When Natsumi tells her to stop teasing her... she says that she was being serious when she said it to everyone's shock and Miku's joy.
744* TheSmartGirl: She's second only to Origami in this, having managed to avoid the DEM for 27 years, all by asking the right set of questions to Raziel to create a way that guarantees she'll know the DEM is coming long before they'll have a chance to capture her. Where Origami is naturally smart, Nia is naturally clever.
745* StoryBreakerPower: The reason she's not sealed at first is because of this, the following two arcs after hers would have had all the trouble caused in them avoided if they had access to Raziel at the time. By the time she's finally sealed, the questions that Raziel could have been used for had already been answered.
746* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Enters it at the end of the Shido Countdown arc, and unlike most cases... she uses Raziel to ''force'' her Inversion as a result of her HeroicBSOD.
747* TimelineAlteringMacGuffin: Sort of, Raziel can manipulate events up to 5 minutes into the future, but there are limits. She can't change a living person's fate, such as who they'll love or if they'll live or die, even Beelzebub which is said to get much closer to affecting one's fate doesn't have the power to truly change it.
748* TraumaButton: When Souji was attacked and people clearly saw it, they did nothing... and Souji died because of it. As a result, seeing others actually do this when she's so sure they won't sets her off badly because no one had acted this way when it mattered most in her life. Souji coming back to life without her memories just made it worse.
749** Subverted after she's been sealed, due to Shido helping her find some semblance of piece.

762Spirit No. 6, the Dimensional Spirit, the tenth and the final Spirit to appear overall. Mildred's younger sister who ran away from home 5 years ado and has since been living alone in outer-space with only occasional contact from Nia and completely hiding from the DEM adn Ratatoskr's radar. Upon her being sealed, Nia unveils her identity so Shido and the others can go save her. However, they quickly learn Mukuro sealed her emotions away and she deals Shido a major doubt to his beliefs.
763
764However, after Mildred explains her story, and why Mukuro ran away from home, Shido realizes that she sealed her emotions away to avoid feeling ay pain or loneliness. After unlocking her emotions, Mukuro falls in love with Shido, but due to forgetting some of her memories, she nearly repeats her same mistakes when asking Shido to only love her. After nearly killing her sister, and learning Shido knew her pain, she has her powers sealed, and becomes willing to share Shido with the others.
765
766----
767* AchillesHeel: When she uses Segva to target anything in a specific group, anything she has no awareness of, like the Ratatoskr organization, will unable to be targeted by Michael and left unaffected.
768* AdaptedOut: Mukuro's canon way of speaking isn't present as the author states she finds it too complicated.
769* AmbiguousInnocence: Because of her DarkAndTroubledPast, she lacks a lot of moral understandings and has a strong fear of being hurt by being abandoned again. The latter of which is the reason why she sealed her emotions to begin with, while a mix of both are the reasons behind most of her actions.
770* AttackReflector: By using her Rataibu, she can create wormholes that are pretty close to doing this. Her most notable use of this was to gather the light needed to weaken Choronzon enough for everyone to destroy his Qlipha Crystal.
771* TheAloner: Mukuro has been isolated in space for 5 years, claiming she wants to be alone. Turns out she doesn't, she just doesn't remember because of how long she's been in space for. When her emotions are unlocked, its quickly revealed she's really a ClingyJealousGirl.
772* BatmanCanBreatheInSpace: Subverted. While she's shown to have survived the harsh environment of outer-space for over 5 years, it's because she used Michael to lock her need for any bodily necessities like breathing and nutrition. This is undone along with her emotions when Shido unlocks the seal on them.
773* BigDamnHeroes: If it wasn't for her, Choronzon would have never been beaten.
774* ClingyJealousGirl: She makes Tohka's initial dismay of Shido having a harem up a notch, especially since she actually tries to keep him for herself by sealing everyone's memories of him, only failing on all the spirits. It turns out it comes from being abandoned by her birth parents, and thinking she lost the love of her adoptive family, making her terrified of it happening a third time.
775* CoolKey: Her Angel Michael, bonus points for being polite and having always called Mukuro by name instead of Master. It even apologizes for some of its actions during Mukuro's arc, stating it only does what she wants because it wants her to know she's not alone.
776* CurbStompBattle: When explaining to everyone why she's the most powerful of the Sephira Spirits, Nia states that she could easily beat Inverse Tohka without even trying.
777** Shows this officially during her battle in the Choronzon arc, where she wins extremely quickly and without even trying.
778** During the flashback where Mayuri gets her Heroic Second Wind, we learn that she gained her status as the strongest Sephira Spirit when she defeated a Cassiopeia influenced Kurumi, the former holder of the title.
779** Both times the DEM tried to attack her in space, she quickly decimates their forces, and the second attack was the entirety of the DEM's forces. In fact, she's responsible for most of the casualties, only small margin of them being caused by Ratatoskr's forces.
780* DarkAndTroubledPast: She was born in China, abandoned by her birth parents who apparently ''sold her'' to some shady people, escaped to Tenguu City, and spent some time in the slums, before finally being brought to the orphange where Mildred's family adopted her. The mental scars in her were so deep, that when Mildred agreed with a friend about her hair being too long, she gained a deep fear of losing her new family. Michael responded to this wish, but she ended up making her family angry, and thinking she lost their love... she ran away from home, and then sealed away her memories to avoid the pain.
781* DeathFromAbove: Does this with her Alhazma during the Choronzon arc, firing a barrage of the beams from space. She drops the debris of the DEM warships and automaton army across 42 points originally associated to them as a warning to the DEM.
782* EarlyBirdCameo: Appears in Chapter 22, noticing the ripple from Rinne’s revival wave spread through the world. Makes another two during the Rinne arc, responding to Rinne's words before and after her "death".
783* EarnYourHappyEnding: After Shido manages to reach her and seal her, the happiness she long deserves is reward to her as Rinne saves Mildred's life, and the two reunite in a loving sisterly hug.
784* EasyAmnesia: Floating and sleeping in space for 5 years has done a bit to her memories, as she doesn't even remember why she came to space anymore. It's also made her forget about her foster family, as she didn't remember she had a sister when Shido mentioned it to her. She regains these memories after she fatally harms Mildred in an attempt to attack Tohka.
785* EleventhHourRanger: Takes this role during the Choronzon arc due to Nia asking her to aid them, she only agrees to help out because Nia states Choronzon might eventually go after her if they fail to stop him.
786* EmotionlessGirl: Becomes this due to using Michael on herself, though her words and thoughts aren't that robotic. Subverted once Shido unlocks her emotions.
787* FailedASpotCheck: When Mukuro uses her powers to erase everyone's memories of Shido, the data for Shido's registry in Ratatoskr survives because no one told her about Ratatoskr, leaving Michael unable to erase it.
788* {{Foil}}:
789** To Shido, both grew up for a long time without their parents and eventually were taken in by other families. The differences come from Shido having Mana, Kotori's family not adopting them, and gaining happines. Where as Mukuro was an only child, officially adopted, and ran away out of guilt for thinking she destroyed her happiness.
790** Also one to Tohka, both of them have been the sole wielder of their Sephira Crystals, are quite emotional and naive in their own ways. The differences come from Tohka accepting Shido's harem where Mukuro wanted Shido to only love her, Tohka's naivete seems to be natural for family while Mukuro's came from her DarkAndTroubledPast, and Tohka had others teach her where Mukuro taught herself.
791** To Kurumi, as they have the most tragic backstories among the Spirits. The only difference is while Kurumi's came from her time as a Spirit... Mukuro's comes from her time as a ''human''.
792* HappilyAdopted: Initially subverted, as she ends up running away from home, but played straight after her issues are resolved.
793* IAmNotLeftHanded: Mukuro rarely has to use her full power, including using her "Shifuru" ability which she's only pulled out when the power she needed to use mattered more. Tohka is the first person she ever uses it against for fighting reasons.
794* InnocentFanserviceGirl: Like Tohka, she's this due to naivete. After her emotions are unlocked, she tells Shido that she's so thankful to him that she accepted his self-introductory offer to the embarrassment of everyone present who have to quickly explain why he said it.
795* LackOfEmpathy: Downplayed. Even while her emotions are sealed, her usual empathy still has some slivers of it slipping out. She had no reason to spare any of the DEM members on the ships from their first attack against her. Also, when she faces off against Shiori in space, she claims she while she does have the power to do so, she only stated she'd stop Earth's rotation as a threat. Even if she's been living in outerspace, the Earth is still her home.
796* LimitBreak: Her "Shifuru - Release" activates her true potential for a brief period of time. She'll only use this if something makes her get serious when she's ''actually trying'', and as the Mukuro arc shows, there's a very high threshold to make her use it. Tohka manages to push her past it.
797* MeaningfulName: Her last name contains the kanji for "star", reflecting how she's in Space for most of the story and how she makes peace with her worries under the stars with Shido. It also represents how the defining bond with her sister came from Mildred braiding her hair while stargazing.
798* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: She has this reaction when she nearly kills her sister, causing her to regain her memories and realize what she had just done, begging her to not die before she undergoes an Inversion.
799* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Because her emotions are currently locked away by Michael's power, she considers the fact that she somehow shed a tear upon Rinne's "death" as this. This is a sign that her empathy isn't completely locked away. When Mukuro undergoes Inversion after nearly killing Mildred, she's crying and sobbing the whole time, and actually trying to run away rather than fight, telling Shido that something's up.
800* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Becomes the only character to make Shido doubt himself by stating that he's only weakening the Spirits that he's trying to save, which is mentioned in Shido's thoughts to be particularly effective due to her LackOfEmpathy, making her seem wiser.
801* RecurringCharacter: After helping out during the Choronzon arc, she starts popping up more often. Justified As this is happens near Season 3, where she and Nia are the only Spirits left to be sealed.
802* RedHerring: Mukuro was believed to have sealed Kurumi's memory of their fight 5 years ago, she didn't because she can only seal memories in the form of making someone forget an individual, not a specific memory. It was really Westcott who erased it due to the risk of having Kurumi try to go after her for revenge.
803* RelatedInTheAdaptation: Mildred Fujimura is the unnamed adoptive older sister she has in canon.
804* RetGone: Downplayed. Mukuro can use "Segva" to cause everyone who knows a certain individual to lose their memories of them, making it as if they just popped into existence after she uses it. To Mukuro's chagrin, upon using it on Shido and herself, it fails to erase the memory of the other Spirits. Mildred's memory of her and her identity as a Spirit don't vanish as well, though its justified as them being too tightly tied to her memories to remove without damaging her in some manner.
805* SemanticSuperpower: One half of Michael's abilities, "Segva" is the power to "lock" certain properties. As it does this by warping space, it works on both physical and abstract concepts. She's used the ability to lock her own emotions, bodily needs, disable DEM automatons and the memories of non-Spirits (though only in the form of making them forget a specific individual). She even claims that it can [[ApocalypseHow stop Earth's]] [[WorldWreckingWave rotation]].
806* SpaceMaster: Mukuro's elemental powers as a spirit, and what makes her the most dangerous Spirit. Even the Cassiopeia possessed Kurumi's time powers were made useless when the two fought.
807* SpannerInTheWorks: She's the reason Mildred left the DEM, having realized from a photo that one of the Spirits they’re trying to kill might be her, and that the DEM had been lying to her. She doesn't realize it, but Nia indirectly had her cause the problems during the latter half of the Shido Countdown arc by having Raziel set up the Dainsleif getting to close, leading to the situation that caused it to malfunction.
808* StoryBreakerPower: Mukuro is the most powerful of the Sephira Spirits with only Rinne exceeding her in strength, so it's no surprise that not only is she the last Spirit to be sealed, but her whereabouts remain a mystery until Nia's powers are sealed.
809* SuperpoweredEvilSide: When she uses ''Shifuru'' after Tohka manages to force her to go all out, Mildred tries to protect her from an attack that would kill her... and apparently dies from it. At that moment, Mukuro finally remembers her sister and [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone what she just did]], pushing her into an Inversion. What makes it worse? Due to a side effect left by Segva when she tried erasing everyone's memories of Shido... she causes all the other Spirits to inverse with her.
810* SuperpowerLottery: She's not omnipotent, but with her powers there's very little that she can't do, and Nia even claims that she can defeat Inverse Tohka without trying. Even when Tohka fights her, she has to be smart and strategic, and she loses all chances of wining once Mukuro finally unleashes her "Shifuru'' against her.
811* TearsOfBlood: Using her "Fahui" ability, which is the more dangerous version of her "Shifuru" used in her Inverse Form, causes enough pain that she cries blood while using it.
812* TenderTears: Sheds these like crazy while in her Inverse Form, as her already strong feelings of sadness are amplified.
813* TheUnfettered: Because of her lack of emotions, Mukuro isn't really mentally affected by ''anything'', even Shido claiming she will become his slave just to see how she'd react. Once she gets them back however, this is heavily subverted.
814* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: When she tries to get Shido for herself by locking everyone's memories of him, the Spirits aren't affected, though the author state it did do something... that ''something'' turns out to be a form of linking that makes every Spirit undergo an Inversion, even those who originally lacked one, and causing them to rampage. Even Shido and Mana aren't excluded from this, but they stay in full control because they're only Half-Spirits.
815* WorthyOpponent: She ends up considering Tohka as this when she forces her to finally fight someone with her "Shifuru" ability.

826The true identity of Reine Murasame, and the true Spirit No. 0, also known as the Spirit of Origin. Long ago, after the destruction of Hell, and Heaven's revival as the Spirit Dimension, the soul of God used most of his power to give birth to Mio, leaving the Spirits that came after her to watch over her. Unfortunately, Westcott causes her to be pulled to Earth by creating Rinne, causing her to land on the path that made her become Reine Murasame.
827
828Now with her memories restored, her original body and memories restored, and her father's soul truly erased beyond recovery, Mio intends to do her best to help Shido and the others save Earth from Westcott, and to undo the damage the Devil did to it long ago. At the same time, she has to fight the realization that she's fallen in love with the boy she once viewed as a nephew.
829
830See the tropes related to Reine on the Characters/DateAReLiveRatatoskr page.
831
832----
833* AchillesHeel: Because she's never had proper training with her powers, they can't do any physical harm upon regaining them due to the nature of what power her father gave her when she was born. Subverted when it turns out that they need the key to be unlocked, and Shido hadn't actually used it on her like everyone thought he did.
834%%* AdaptationalBackstoryChange: Instead of being a creation of Isaac Westcott, she's the daughter of God.
835* AdaptationalCurves: Her official bust size as Mio was 89 cm. Here, even when compared to her 95 cm bust line as Reine, she's at 100 cm when she regains her form as Mio, making her second only to Tohka in breast size.
836* AdaptationalHeroism: As a result of Volume 18, her depiction in this story has none of her more antagonistic or immoral actions.
837* AllYourPowersCombined: She has the power of every Spirit, including the non-Sephira Spirits.
838* AnguishedDeclarationOfLove: She finally realizes how she feels as the world is threatened with destruction, and kisses Shido. Lucky for her, that kiss ends up being just what everyone needed to stop the Devil.
839* BigBrotherWorship: Even after learning Seigo isn't her brother, Mio still is still sees Seigo like a brother to her, though she does get annoyed by the fact he keeps telling her that he'll be her father-in-law eventually.
840* DeceasedParentsAreTheBest: In his final moments, Isamu apologizes to her for never getting to be an actual father for more than the brief moments he had, causing Mio to cement her resolve in stopping Westcott.
841%% * DecompositeCharacter
842* DiedInYourArmsTonight: Subverted. She nearly dies in Shido's arm, but survives when her kiss to Shido causes her powers to awaken.
843* DramaPreservingHandicap: She has every Spirits' powers in one, and some exclusive to herself, but they're are still too unrefined to do actual damage. This leaves her to become the DeusExMachina of the final arc, when it seems like the Devil will win.
844* EasyAmnesia: Because he altered them, Isamu is able to restore her true memories without much difficulty.
845* EverythingsBetterWithRainbows: This is the color her Reiryoku manifests as.
846* HolyHandGrenade: The power of Ain Soph Aur, which blooms into a flower that unleashes a storm of divine power that vaporizes a majority of the Demon army, leaving only the Devil and his strongest Demons left.
847* IdentityAmnesia: She has no memories as her time of Mio Takamiya until the Sephira Fury arc, explained by Isamu messing with her memories until the right moment came.
848* InfinityPlusOneElement: The power of Ain, which is her strongest Angel, can erase things that Mio targets. The exact limit of its strength is unclear, but she says that she can't defeat the Devil with it, and his strongest demons were shown to have survived it.
849* InstantExpert: The moment her powers fully awaken, she immediately knows how to use them.
850* LittleMissAlmighty: She's the daughter of God, so this is a given.
851* MeaningfulName: The Japanese character for zero can be derived from Mio's given name, representing how she's the Sephira Spirit counterpart to Rinne.
852* RealityWarper: The power of Ain Soph, which warps the area she's in with a checkerboard effect that lets her alter the laws of physics within that area. After her second use, the tree that's formed during this process stays where it is, even if only aesthetically.
853* SparedByTheAdaptation: In canon, she sacrificed her life to kill Westcott and stop him from destroying the world. In this story she survives and is able to get married to Shido.
854* StoryBreakerPower: Doesn't have access to her powers until the last arc. Justified by how she delivers a CurbStompBattle to the Devil the moment she awakens them.
855* TookALevelInCheerfulness: After becoming Mio again, she's a lot more cheerful than she was as Reine.
856* {{Tritagonist}}: Takes this role upon her reveal, and her permanent transition from Reine to Mio, due to how connected she is to the existence of the Spirits.
857* UnresolvedSexualTension: Until the Mio arc, she was unsure how she felt about Shido due to having believed she was Shido's aunt before regaining her memories, making her emotions towards him very awkward.

869Spirit No. 0 (later Spirit No. 11 after Mio's return) and the First Spirit, and also the mother of Shido, Mana and Rio. Rinne was originally a Spirit of the same kind as Tohka, but as one of the irregulars with different powers. One day, she sees the arrival of a human named Seigo Takamiya as he falls into the Spirit Dimension and after spending some time with him, eventually falls in love with him.
870
871Eventually after having two children with him, Seigo manages to contact home and discover a way to contact his sister, and after setting things up she decides to live on Earth with him and their children. Unfortunately, during her trip over, the actions of Westcott destroy her homeland and transform her into a deity, making her the First Spirit as she causes the Original Spacequake due to an overload of power upon arriving.
872
873Knowing Westcott needed to be stopped, she challenged him but unfortunately failed to stop him. To prevent the success of his ambitions, she scattered the treasures of the Spirit Dimension, the Sephira Crystals, and sent them across the world for her third child Rio to gather and protect as she disappears, leaving only an aspect of herself in her son Shido so she may eventually restore her physical form.
874
875----
876%% * AdaptationalBackstoryChange: Instead of being born from the Spirit Powers of Tohka, Yoshino, Kotori and possibly Kurumi like her visual novel of origin, she was a creation of Isaac Westcott based on Mio Takamiya.
877* AdaptationalHeroism: The First Spirit's acts as revealed in Volume 16 fall under BlueAndOrangeMorality, mostly in the blacker area. Rinne's actions in Rinne Utopia are also a bit questionable. This isn't the case here, where she is trying to help best she can.
878* AllYourPowersCombined: While she can't use it at the moment, she can use the Harmonic Convergence attack just like Shido, but hers depends simply on how many of the Sephira Crystals have bonded to a host. Its also stated in her data sheet to be stronger, and is able to be used much more often.
879** How her Inverse, and Ethereal Form, work. She can only transform, and possibly against her will, into them when all of the Sephira Spirits are using either form, and if even one of them reverts to normal, she'll revert back as well.
880* AttackAttackAttack: Her powers are completely offensive based, having no form of defense. Justified by the fact she’s so powerful, she normally doesn’t have a threat that requires her to worry about Self-Defense.
881* BackFromTheDead: Not her, but using the Cassiopeia’s energy she revives all of the previous Sephira Crystal holders that the DEM killed during the past 30 years. Played straight at the end of the Rinne arc.
882* BigGood: Opposed Westcott's plan 30 years ago, and still opposes it now while also being a mentor to the other Spirits.
883* BewareTheNiceOnes: If you make her angry... you better not be her enemy. The Rinne arc shows us exactly why.
884* CompositeCharacter: She's a mixture of Rinne Sonogami in character, and the First Spirit in role.
885* DramaPreservingHandicap: She regains her physical form early in the Rinne arc, but most of her power is trapped in Shido and she can't draw all of it out. If Rinne does fight at all, she states she's only as strong as one of the weaker spirits, and only has access to a Limited Astral Dress.
886* EverythingsBetterWithRainbows: While her Reiryoku is pink, there are instances that it takes a rainbow color instead. Upon the return of Mio, she loses this as it actually belongs to her.
887* [[EvilCounterpart Good Counterpart]]: To Westcott, being the complete opposites of each other in morals, beliefs and personality.
888* FishOutOfWater: While some of the Spirits show this, she exaggerates it upon becoming part human, justified by the fact she never got a real chance to experience being Human until she regained her physical form.
889* GirlInTheTower: While she's in the form of Sleeping Beauty during the Nia Storybook arc.
890* HappilyMarried: The end of Season 3 has her and Seigo finally marry after 30 years, though out of respect for Elliot and Karen who kept their names after marrying out of respect to Seigo's passing, she keeps her last name.
891* HeroicBSOD: Learning that she failed to revive Seigo crushed her hard, especially since she wasn't aware that Seigo was DeaderThanDead.
892* HumansAreSpecial: Because of her time with Seigo, she loves Humanity and strongly believes greatly in their potential, considering them to be an amazing species.
893* InnocentlyInsensitive: Due to her FishOutOfWater status, Rinne doesn't realize how her comment about Mana possibly never growing past her current breast size would upset her daughter.
894* LastOfHerKind: She’s the only Spirit that was turned into one by a Sephira Crystal, having only gained the title of "the First Spirit" because the rest of her kind was destroyed when Westcott [[ApocalypseHow annihilated]] the Spirit Dimension as she headed to Earth.
895** This is Subverted when Mio returns, as she's also a pure Spirit.
896* LittleMissAlmighty: She represents Da’at on the Sephirot, and Reine herself even implies to a degree she can be considered a version of God. Regardless if she actually is one or not, Rinne at least has the strength to back up this claim. Mio ends up being proof of this when its revealed Rinne was created based off of her, but through human limitations.
897* TheLostLenore: Her husband, Seigo Takamiya, was killed before they could even be officially married. Hence why her last name isn’t Takamiya. This is changed after he revives, and they finally marry.
898* MagicGenetics: Shido and Mana don’t have any physical resemblance to her because she didn’t have any genes to pass down to them, instead they inherited her spirit powers. This same logic worked in reverse for when she gave birth to Rio who lacks any physical resemblance to Seigo.
899* MamaBear: Seeing her children and the other Spirits about to be killed causes her to snap badly, and cause the main conflict of the entire Rinne arc.
900* MeaningfulName: Rinne's name references the japanese term samsara, a concept of reincarnation/cycle of rebirth as well as the one's actions and consequences in the past, present, and future. She's the catalyst for most of the story's events, and in her arc she gets reborn, becoming part human.
901** Her last name means "God of the Garden", being the First Spirit who represents Da'at on the Sephirot, she's essentially the God of the Spirits, even though she wasn't born that way. Earth, her new home after the Spirit Dimension is destroyed, is the garden she's fighting to protect from Westcott.
902* MyGreatestFailure: Her failure to stop Westcott 30 years ago, and being unable to prevent the death of Seigo.
903* MyGreatestSecondChance: When she failed to prevent Seigo's death, she gained every intention to never let someone die again if she had the power to prevent it, so when Mildred was believed to be beyond saving... [[ScrewDestiny she did the impossible and saved her.]]
904* RedEyesTakeWarning: While her eyes are officially more of an intense pink color, they they do look red. When they start glowing however (which is usually when she gets angry), they appear more red, putting this trope into affect.
905* RelatedInTheAdaptation: She’s Shido and Mana’s birth mother, and Reine's unofficial sister-in-law.
906* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Despite not originally having one, the events of Mukuro's arc causes Mukuro to accidentally given her the Inversion taint, although she only transforms into it when all the other Sephira Spirits are in it as well.
907* StoryBreakerPower: There’s a good reason she’s currently stuck as an aspect inside of Shido right now, she’d crush the DEM in barely any time at all if she were to regain her body at this point. This is still true after she regains her physical form early, as she's lost access to her full strength for the time being.
908* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Its revealed in the Sephira Fury arc that she was created by Westcott, and based off of Mio, making her this for the Spirits of the Spirit Dimension, hence their resemblance to each other.
909* {{Transhuman}}: Inverted. She was already a Spirit, but her arc ends with her becoming part human, making her just like her children and the other Spirits.
910* TrulySingleParent: In the case of Rio, as her husband was already dead by the time she created her. She did use some of his essence from her love for him to create her however, so Seigo is still technically her father.
911* UnstoppableRage: In the Rinne arc, she makes a Spacequake that could destroy all of Japan, and its radius keeps growing as her power gets more rampant.
912* WalkingSpoiler: A lot of the information about her also reveals a huge clue to Rio being the Phantom, what led to Shido, Mana and Tohka’s amnesia, and directly answers about Shido and Mana’s forgotten past. Not to mention she and Mio are the same person.
913* TheWorfEffect: After she regains her physical form, the method behind how leaves her with only a fraction of her true strength which is still within Shido's Over-Limit Spirit Ascension. She can't regain it until Shido seals all the Spirits.

923
924Spirit No. 11 (later Spirit No. 12 after Mio's return) and the Invisible Spirit or the Spirit of Enigma, also the third child and second daughter of Rinne. Rio was born from Rinne's power and her love for Seigo during her last moments possessing a body with the mission of keeping the Sephira Crystals out of danger and eventually restoring her through Shido sealing all 10 Spirits, allowing to recover her body.
925
926Needing to hide herself from the DEM so they don't notice her resemblance to her Mama, Rio uses her powers to disguise herself in a mosaic, taking the alias and code name of "Phantom". Throughout the years, she would protect the Sephira Crystals from falling into the DEM’s hands and entrusting them to Humans, hoping to one day be reunited with her mother, big brother and big sister.
927
928----
929%% * AdaptationalBackstoryChange
930* AdaptationalCurves: Her appearance once she gets physically older is her mother's human form, but with a 84cm bustline.
931* AdaptationalHeroism: In canon, Phantom's motives fall under BlueAndOrangeMorality, but due to her and Rio being the same individual in this story, she always operates under the white side of morality with anything considered less being unintentional on her part.
932* AFormYouAreComfortableWith: In her Phantom disguise, if she needs to interact with others in public, the mosaic cover can disguise her appearance and voice as someone else, she can even pretend to be the opposite Gender. This ability isn’t a transformation or an illusion like Natsumi’s powers, but an alteration of one’s perception of her form.
933* BarrierMaiden: Rio doesn’t have any offensive abilities, all of her powers are either defensive or supportive in nature. This is because her mother’s powers are the complete opposite.
934* BigDamnHeroes:
935** When Westcott/Inverse Kurumi is about to kill everyone with the Artemis, she dives onto the scene and takes the entire attack at the cost of being knocked unconscious and her true identity finally being exposed to the madman.
936** Manages to save her mother from death by using Mayuri's aid to reach her and give her some of her Humanity, specifically Seigo's wish to let her be part human like she always wanted.
937* CassandraTruth: When Reine asks what happened to Shido and Mana’s father, her older brother, she claims to not know who she’s talking about. In fact, she never even met Seigo because he was already dead by the time Rinne gave birth to her. Reine knows she’s been around since the First Spirit disappeared and refuses to believe it, eventually pushing her to her OOCIsSeriousBusiness moment below.
938* ChildrenAreInnocent: Because she's a child, she didn't realize why stating Shido having a harem in front of his jealous male classmates was a bad idea.
939* CompositeCharacter: She's a mixture of Rio Sonogami in character, and Phantom in role.
940* EasyAmnesia: Because she's only 5 years old biologically, she can't remember everything in the past 30 years, often forgetting important information that could have helped the others if she remembered it earlier.
941* {{Foreshadowing}}: Phantom’s true height while using her mosaic is stated to be that of a young child’s, this ends up being a key factor in realizing that she’s Rio Sonogami ahead of time.
942* InsistentTerminology: Unlike the other Spirits who had their codenames chosen by the DEM, Rio gave herself her own codename and always asked to be referred to as such, the DEM decided to go with it because they didn't have any information about her other than her existence.
943* LikeMotherLikeDaughter: Shares a lot of traits with her mother, and looks like Rinne if she were a child.
944* [[LilliputianWarriors Lilliputian Warrior]]: While she's in the form of Issun-Boshi during the Nia Storybook arc.
945* LiteralGenie: Sort of. Rio mentions to everyone she offers a Sephira Crystal to that it can help them grant their deepest wish, but [[BenevolentGenie unlike certain genies that are tricky]], she actually mentions the consequences of becoming a Spirit and offers them a chance to decline taking the Crystal since there’s no going back if they accept it.
946* LongLostRelative: She’s Shido and Mana’s younger sister, but until they discover who their mother is, they’re not even aware of this fact.
947* MeaningfulName: Downplayed. Rio's name is just a mix the beginning of her name and the end of Seigo's, and doesn't have any deeper meaning to it.
948* MyGreatestFailure: Letting herself be tricked and not being there to prevent Saya’s death, and then allowing Kurumi to become an UnwittingPawn for the DEM.
949* OminousVisualGlitch: Rio hides her true form under a noise/mosaic that renders her invisible, but still allows her outline to be noticeable. While hiding her visual form in this manner, Rio is unable to hide the outline of her true form, showing she’s no taller than a child. This mosaic also hide her usual third-person speech.
950* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: When Reine talks to her in Chapter 15 while in her Phantom disguise, she eventually causes her to start crying and use her third-person speech, something her mosaic usually negates.
951* OurPhlebotinumChild: Seigo is technically Rio’s father, but he was already dead by the time she was born, so Rinne had to use his essence from the love she had for him to create her.
952* OvernightAgeUp: Has one in the form of a Spirit equivalent to puberty.
953* RelatedInTheAdaptation: By extension of Rinne being her mother, Shido and Mana are her older siblings and Reine is her aunt.
954* SamusIsAGirl: Played for laughs by Reine who uses the fact she’s a Spirit to explain she has to be a girl because every Spirit is.
955* SecretTestOfCharacter: The other reason Rio warns potential successors about the fact the DEM will go after them, she's making sure that the one she's offered it to has no doubts so they won't hesitate when they're finally attacked.
956** Natsumi's arc reveals there's actually an additional reason that extends to this one, the Sephira Crystals will only change to a new potential host if their current candidate declines the offer to become a Spirit, the prime example being the Sandalphon Crystal. It was unable to ever consider anyone but Tohka as her potential host because she was in a coma and had no way to decline.
957* ShesAllGrownUp: At the end of the Rio arc, she's no longer biologically 5, but biologically around 13 or 14.
958* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Despite not originally having one, the events of Mukuro's arc causes Mukuro to accidentally given her the Inversion taint.
959* ThirdPersonPerson: How she actually talks normally, her mosaic alters this when she’s using it to act as the Phantom, but it fails when she gets overly emotional as noted by Mayuri. She loses this after her OvernightAgeUp.
960* TokenMiniMoe: She's the youngest of the Spirits, being only biologically 5 (despite having lived for 30 years by the time the story begins) and clearly only a child. Subverted after her OvernightAgeUp makes her look more like a teenager.
961* TrueCompanions: Considers Kurumi and Saya as such, later on Mayuri becomes this to her, eventually considering her a big sister of sorts.
962* UndyingLoyalty: To Shido, Mana, the Spirits and her Mama.
963* WalkingSpoiler: Her identity answers who the First Spirit actually is, how Tohka became a Spirit and escaped the DEM, and holds clues to Shido and Mana’s forgotten past.

974Spirit No. 14 (later Spirit No. 15 after Mio's return) and the Electric Spirit, or the Artificial Spirit. Mayuri was originally a being made under the DEM’s secret Material B project for some unknown purpose. This would never be realized as during her presence in Tenguu City to watch over Kurumi's actions, Rio discovers the pod containing Mayuri and frees her, while also giving her free will.
975
976After waking up for the first time and being told everything by Rio, including that her life was now her own, Mayuri chose to use her new freedom to pay Rio back for giving it to her. Rio uses her powers along with some of the pod room's materials to create an artificial Sephira Crystal for her, turning her into a Spirit who takes the alias and code name "Watcher" to aid her disguise as the Phantom.
977
978----
979%% * AdaptationalBackstoryChange: Instead of being born from the mana generated from Tohka, Yoshino, Kotori, Yamai sisters and Miku, she was created by Milfred F. Fujimura under the DEM's secret Material B project.
980* AdaptationalCurves: The moment her Sephira Crystal becomes complete, a certain scene makes it clear Mayuri's going to set off Mana's ACupAngst when they see each other again. Later on it's revealed she's grown to 86cm.
981* ArtificialHuman: What Mayuri is as a whole, being a DEM creation for an unrevealed purpose. Mildred turns out to be her creator.
982* BigDamnHeroes:
983** Officially reveals herself by stopping Westcott from setting off Spacequakes through Inverse Kurumi by using her own to cancel them out.
984** When Rio senses her mother's powers going rampant during Rinne's arc, she tries giving a way to let Rio reach her. It works and Rio manages to save Rinne's life at the last moment.
985** Even though Rinne heals the damage to Mildred's body, its ultimately her powers restarting her heart that saves Mildred's life.
986* ExtraOreDinary: She can use the metal blades on her angel to attack, and can manipulate metal by affecting the electrons in them with her electricity. Especially those of machines without protection against electrical interference. After her Sephira Crystal becomes complete, she instead does this by manipulating metallic molecules in the air.
987* FishOutOfWater: Downplayed. Because she’s an artificial life form made using a stasis pod and computer, she’s not completely out of place with her surroundings due to the knowledge being programmed into her brain. However, while she knows about a lot of things, she lacks the experience that comes from getting to know about them directly.
988* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: A blonde young lady with a warm and gentle personality, also acting like a sister figure to Rio.
989* HappilyAdopted: While it hadn't happened yet, Reine says she will adopt her when the fight's over, and Mayuri has accepted the offer. Reine even states Mayuri looks like the child she and Isamu couldn't have. After Reine becomes Mio again, Seigo takes over in adopting her.
990* MagicCarpet: Uses this as her form of transportation (and to allow Miku to travel easily on land while a mermaid) while she's in the form of Ali Baba during the Nia Storybook arc.
991* MeaningfulName: Rio gives her the code name of Watcher because in her sleep, she hears her mention that she wants her to stay with her, causing Mayuri to realize she wants her to watch over her. The same is true with her real name, Mayuri Seraphina, as Rio chooses Mayuri after the kanji for 10,000 (万) on her stasis pod and the fact it means myriad, referencing how she was an artificial being made from a combination of multiple people’s works. Seraphina is chosen because her hair reminded Rio of an actual angel.
992* NamedByTheAdaptation: In her [[Anime/DateALiveMayuriJudgement movie]], Mayuri had no last name, here, she's given one in the form of Seraphina.
993* NoodleIncident: Whatever purpose Mayuri was made for was never elaborated on, but based on Rio’s statement that she gave her free will and that the being associated with Material A project was likely an UnwittingPawn, it's implied that Westcott didn’t plan on treating her as a living being.
994** Its revealed in the Choronzon arc this was the case, and that Mildred was her creator. She was unable to take Mayuri with her because Mayuri wouldn't be formed fast enough for Mildred to escape the DEM safely.
995* PowerIncontinence: While her Sephira Crystal works and is functional, because it’s an artificial one, her Angel is quite limited and her mana reservoir runs out incredibly fast. Luckily, she can recharge herself if she has access to electricity other than lightning. By the Choronzon arc she no longer has this problem, but still keeps the recharge ability in case she decides to use up all her power at once.
996* ShockAndAwe: She can manipulate electricity, which is also how she manipulates the Metal half of her powers.
997* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Despite not originally having one, the events of Mukuro's arc causes Mukuro to accidentally given her the Inversion taint.
998* TrueCompanions: With Rio, being her first partner and friend ever since what happened to Saya. She's also this with Maria due to both being artificial beings, albeit in different manners.
999* UndyingLoyalty: To Rio, giving her free will was enough that she chose to freely follow her. This extends to Rinne and the other Spirits later on who become like a family to her, especially Reine who intends to eventually adopt her.

1010An Artificial Intelligence based on a Spirit, making her Spirit No. 13 (later Spirit No. 14 after Mio's return) or the Vaccine Spirit. Originally, Maria was just a normal defense program on the original Fraxinus, but during the sudden ambush by Marina and the Arbitel was unintentionally evolved by Marina and evolved into a copy of her. Afterwards, the members of Ratatoskr fully developed her and named her Maria Arusu.
1011
1012Maria primarily exists in multiple places through Ratatoskr's network, often manifesting her hologram via the phones of any Ratatoskr agents, the Fraxinus EX, the Ratatoskr base or in an android body based on her virtual body. She primarily runs most systems and brings up the dating sim program that generates responses when Shido doesn't know how to respond to a certain situation with a Spirit.
1013
1014----
1015* AdaptationalCurves: Becoming flesh and blood bumped her size up to 89cm in the Rio arc.
1016* ArtificialIntelligence: A highly advanced AI with a body, emotions and a sense of morality.
1017* CassandraTruth: Sort of. Likely as a result of being born from part of her data, Maria honestly thinks Marina has good in her, and no one else agrees with her. At least not until hr HeroicSacrifice.
1018* CombatTentacles: Part of her Astral Dress, and how she uses her GreenThumb powers. The tentacles dig into the ground and manipulate plant life, she doesn't even need to be on a specific area for this, and could even do it inside a building if needed (albeit with her powers weaker).
1019* DatePeepers: The headset has a small window she'll watch things from, just so she can watch Shido's efforts to talk to a Spirit, that's all she'll do though and gets out of the way when a more regular date comes out unless she needs to.
1020* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: As of the Shido Countdown arc, where she ties it up near the end, with two separate tied areas that split off in an upside down V shape. The opposite of Marina who only ties it in one spot.
1021* GreenThumb: When in her android body, she can manipulate plant life. The author chose this due to the fact the Fraxinus' name comes the scientific name of a type of ash tree that was once believed to be Yggdrasil.
1022* GrewBeyondTheirProgramming: Was once a normal defense program for the original Fraxinus, then Marina invaded the ship and somehow managed to turn Maria into a copy of herself before Ratatoskr fully developed her into her current form. Reaches its peak when after deciding to die alongside Marina in her HeroicSacrifice, she [[BecomeARealBoy ends up becoming an organic being and official Spirit.]]
1023* HappilyAdopted: Seigo decides to adopt her into the Takamiya family upon his revival.
1024* HeroicSacrifice: In the Ars Install arc, she stops Westcott's plan by rebooting the virtual realm while inside it, even though she doesn't need to... all so Marina doesn't have to die alone. Luckily, [[BackFromTheDead she gets better.]]
1025* InnocentBlueEyes: To reflect she's the opposite of Marina, who's data resulted in her becoming the AI she is now.
1026* InsideAComputerSystem: Where she usually spends her time.
1027* MeaningfulName: Was named Maria by Kannazuki due to her usual outfit, which looks similar to a nun's, with Maria being a variation on the name of the Holy Mother Mary. She also takes on Marina's last name, Arusu, as a way of thanking her for giving her life.
1028* MysticalWhiteHair: Similar to Origami, but where Origami's is pure white, Maria has a more silvery white hair color.
1029* NiceGirl: Due to being a former defense program, she's quite gentle, sweet and protective of others and tries to help anyway she can. She even makes Marina's last name as hers as a way of thanking her, despite Marina is part of the DEM. Unfortunately, everyone thinks she's too nice towards Marina, who she trusts but the others don't. Marina actually even despises her because she's like this, at least until Maria causes her to have a HeelRealization.
1030* RobotGirl: Not only does her Astral Dress have this as its theme, but she has an android body she uses when she needs to interact with the real world or if she needs to fight using her pseudo-Spirit powers. No longer the case as of the Ars Install arc's end.
1031* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Despite not originally having one, the events of Mukuro's arc causes Mukuro to accidentally given her the Inversion taint.

She primarily runs most systems and analyzing data from any automaton units, though also focuses on welcome development and studying. Marina is also the reason Maria even exists, having created her rival AI by complete accident.

1047* AdaptationalCurves: Becoming flesh and blood bumped her size up to 89cm in the Rio arc.
1048* AdaptationalVillainy: She's essentially a female version of Westcott, and that was enough he acknowledged her. At least until the end of the Ars Install arc.
1049* ArtificialIntelligence: A highly advanced AI with a body, emotions and a sense of immorality.
1050* BrutalHonesty: By the Rio arc, she reveals she's quite blunt about what she tells people, being the kind of person who says what people actually need to hear.
1051* CombatTentacles: Part of her Astral Dress, and how she uses her PoisonousPerson powers. They also tend to link up to most of the DEM's systems, including the Arbitel which was made especially for them.
1052* DarkIsEvil: She looks as evil as all her black coloring implies. Subverted as of her HeelFaceTurn.
1053* DeadpanSnarker: As of the Rio arc, she's shown to have become a little snarky.
1054* EnemyMine: Aids the other Spirits against Choronzon's forces for the sake of collecting the dark Reiryoku of everyone aside from Miku who she already had, Choronzon who Westcott had a plan for, and Nia and Mukuro who they could wait for. She leaves before the more serious part of the fight comes.
1055* EvilTwin: She's this for Maria, having accidentally causing her to evolve from the defense program she originally was when it copied her data. Turns out she isn't as evil as she believed.
1056* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: As of the Shido Countdown arc, where she ties it up near the end, with two separate tied areas that split off in an upside down V shape. The opposite of Marina who ties it in two spots.
1057* {{Foreshadowing}}: The fact she had a father/daughter bond (even if we learn Westcott was faking his half of it) with Westcott was a sign she wasn't as evil as she thought she was and that she'd eventually have a HeelRealization.
1058* GoodAllAlong: Maria always thought there was good in her because she was born of her data, and she only had any good because Marina did. When Marina realizes this, she realizes Maria knew her better than she knew herself.
1059* GrewBeyondTheirProgramming: She ends up [[BecomeARealBoy becoming an organic being and official Spirit]] after Maria pulls a HeroicSacrifice and both don't expect to live through it.
1060* HappilyAdopted: Seigo decides to adopt her into the Takamiya family upon his revival.
1061* HeelFaceTurn: After Westcott disowns her and [[BackFromTheDead she's revived as a living being]], she becomes an ally of Ratatoskr.
1062* HeelRealization: As stated in the GoodAllAlong example above, Maria revealing how she knew there was good in her makes her finally realize Maria had been right all along.
1063* IJustWantToBeLoved: Similar to the Ars Install game, she wanted nothing more than to please Westcott, who she considered her father, after she was born. She manages to make herself so nasty that Westcott actually recognizes it. Unlike her game counterpart however, she manages to succeed, with Westcott actually calling her his daughter. Though as of the Ars Install arc, we learn he was using her the whole time and he doesn't care at all.
1064* InsistentTerminology: One of the two people who doesn't refer to Westcott by his actual name, as she always refers to him as her "Father". Eventually in Season 2, she starts calling Ellen "Mother" to the wizard's chagrin.
1065** After her HeelFaceTurn, she now calls Westcott as "Boycott" as an insult, to reflect how she abandoned the DEM and how he disowned her, and because they both end with the same four letters.
1066* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: While she initially she acts cruel to those not loyal or part of the DEM just because she can, mostly due to Westcott's influence, there are some times she's actually nice. This ends up being {{Foreshadowing}} to her eventual HeelFaceTurn. Once it finally happens, the jerk part fades entirely, though she's still quite blunt and snarky.
1067* InsideAComputerSystem: Where she usually spends her time.
1068* PoisonousPerson: When in her android body, she can manipulate venom. This makes her powers the exact opposite of her counterpart Maria.
1069* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Gives a heavy one to Maria in the Ars Install arc, calling out against Maria's nature for thinking she has any good in her. Later on, she realizes how wrong she was when she realizes Maria was actually right.
1070* RobotGirl: Not only does her Astral Dress have this as its theme, but she has an android body she uses when she needs to interact with the real world or if she needs to fight using her pseudo-Spirit powers. No longer the case as of the Ars Install arc's end.
1071* {{Sadist}}: Downplayed and played for laughs compared to most examples, but due to her time in the DEM, Marina has developed into this. She draws the line at anything beyond teasing, and finds no joy in causing physical pain, which she defines as nothing more than torture.
1072* {{Stripperiffic}}: Her Astral Dress follows the same theme as Inverse Spirits, even before her data's updated to be more like an Inverse Spirit's.
1073* SupernaturalGoldEyes: She has glowing golden eyes to signify her cruel nature. Later however, they signify she had a HiddenHeartOfGold.
1074* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Rather than having one, she actually ''is'' this for Maria, being her EvilCounterpart and having all the appropriate Inverse Spirit traits, as well as becoming based on one when Westcott finally gets the necessary data for it. This changes after the Ars Install arc, where she's no longer this ''or'' evil anymore.
1075** The events of Mukuro's arc causes Mukuro to accidentally given her the Inversion taint, giving her a real one.
1076* UndyingLoyalty: To her creator and father, Isaac Westcott. This extends to those he trusts like Ellen (who's also her mother by her marriage to Westcott), Jessica, Chinami, James Paddington and the Arbitel crew. That is... until Westcott reveals he only saw her as a disposable tool. Her loyalty changes to Maria and Ratatoskr afterwards.
1077* WellDoneSonGuy: When she was born, she wanted her "father" to be proud of her. Surprisingly, she actually managed to succeed in making Westcott care about her and consider her as his daughter by killing Origami's predecessor... though the Ars Install arc reveals this was a lie so he could use her to the fullest.
