!Ponyville
----
[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:General]]
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Ponyville's residents are generally friendly, but some of them are more than capable of completely wrecking the day of anyone who are foolish enough to mess with them.
** Vinyl Scratch, also known by her alias DJ PON-3, is in fact a [[spoiler:500-years old Equestrian Vampire]] who are generally chill and casual, but [[spoiler:won't hesitate to lay the beatdown with her vampiric powers and drink the blood of bad guys who mess with her, her loved ones or others while she's around]].
** Aunt Holiday (one of them anyways) who with Aunt Lofty who took care of Scootaloo while her parents are away come from Meridia, quite literally one of the deadliest places on Equus where life is so dangerous the locals became universally some of the most dangerous people in the world just to survive for more than five minutes. Sure enough, when a bunch of burglars try to break into Scootaloo's house, they ran into her, and she [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/801283114/4750971212 singlehoofedly]] made them wish they were never born.
-->'''Aunt Holiday:''' Break into my niece's house, do you wankers?! Who's your mommy, eh? WHO'S YOUR MOMMY?!\
'''Burglar 1:''' You are! YOU ARE!\
'''Burglar 2:''' Get off him you freaking mad-mare -- ! [Struggles] You call that breaking my back?! I had seen better back-breakers at the World Wrestling Champion -- [SNAP] OWW MY BAAACK -- !!!\
'''Burglar 3:''' I regret everything! I regret everything I have ever done!!!
** An elderly, softspoken vendor in Ponyville found himself being bullied, insulted, and pushed around by two unruly mercenaries from out of town who thinks he's no threat, which he calmly put up without issues. Then one of them made the mistake of unsubtly implying he may make unwelcomed advances to his pretty granddaughter if given the chance and gloat about him being too elderly and feeble to do anything about. This pushes him pass his RageBreakingPoint, whereupon he [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/904477912/4965544695 reveal]] himself to be actually a [[RetiredBadass retired adventurer]] with over ''forty years'' of combat experience by bringing out a giant enchanted claymore, disarming both of them with one swipe and chasing the two now terrified flankholes around Ponyville in a frothing battle-rage. If Applejack/Veritas and Rainbow Dash's words are any indication, [[OhNoNotAgain this is far from the first time]] [[PassThePopcorn this had happened]].
--> '''Mercenary:''' [After threatening his granddaughter] Whad'ya say to that?\
'''Vendor:''' ... DIE, '''MOTHERBUCKER!!!'''
* DemocracyIsBad: Downplayed and PlayedForLaughs. One time Ponyville has ''King Sombra'' (or rather, a still-evil fragment of him) running for election thanks to silly and archaic election rules (written by eccentric/insane first mayor Soup Sandwich) allowing him to stand as candidate despite being an EvilOverlord and not even a resident of the town. His platform isn't actually too bad (Tax breaks for small business owners, stricter rent control laws, a rehaul for the hydroelectric dam, etc.) and while he still ultimately lost he came very close to being elected as mayor.
* DoomMagnet: Like in canon, it has been the site of various disasters and catastrophes. However, the frequency of such disasters has eventually caused its residents to take it in stride whenever something weird happens. They even brushed off the entire town ''[[EatenAlive getting eaten]] by [[BlackHoleBelly a]] [[VillainousGlutton Ravenous]] [[EvilOverlord Regent]]'' as just 'one of those days'.
* SeriousBusiness: PlayedForLaughs. A [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/898458204/4958457691 paintball game]] between the [[GirlsVsBoysPlot colts and fillies]] of Ponyville was treated as such a serious affair that they wore ''metal armour'' to the game and waged it like a strange parody of the [[{{UsefulNotes/WorldWarI}} First Great War]], complete with fields of trenches, fireworks as artillery bombardment, and a ''[[TankGoodness freaking tank]]'' being rolled into the fray. Their parents, like Filthy Rich, are just left gawking at the scene in stupefied incredulity.
-->'''Filthy Rich:''' [Takes out a flask and took a sip] It's ''waaay'' too early in the morning [[INeedAFreakingDrink for this]].
* WeirdnessMagnet: Has been called such in Silver Bane's entry. While it is also a DoomMagnet for being the site of various disasters and catastrophes, Ponyville has attracted both mortal and divine individuals. A few demi-Alicorn Princes from the Terran Empire had been spotted there, Terraton of the Tauren Giant Pantheon and Changeling Queen Supia had traveled there on a diplomatic meeting, and even Silver Bane was recently spotted there with his young adoptive daughter, Friede.
* WhatWereYouThinking: Silent Song/[[spoiler:Vinyl Scratch]], Ponyville's resident FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire, still can't figure out why the Ponies of Ponyville would think voting for a {{Cloudcuckoolander}} like Soup Sandwich as their first mayor was a good idea.

!!Young Six
[[folder:General]]
* TheChosenMany: While it's implied in canon, here they're explicitly chosen to become Bearers of the Elements of Harmony, with the Mane Six [[PassingTheTorch passing on their former Elements to them]].
* ItSucksToBeTheChosenOne: Becoming the new bearers of the Elements of Harmony nearly gets them lynched by racist ponies.
* MeaningfulName: They're collectively known as the Young Six, which is fitting considering they're successors of the Mane Six and representatives of a new generation of heroic Bearers.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Gallus]]
A young Griffon from Griffonstone and the new Bearer of Magic.
----
* TheChosenOne: He is chosen to become the new bearer of Magic.
* DivineParentage:
** It's believed that he's a descendant or relative of Amina, the Celestial Griffon goddess of Selfless Love and a member of the Amaredae.
** He's eventually [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/900966875/4963960373 adopted]] by Princess Grizelda II.
* HappilyAdopted: After years spent as an orphan, Gallus finally found a replacement parental figure in Princess Grizelda II, a good-hearted divine [[DivineParentage Celestial Griffon]].
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: [[spoiler:He fell for Ispita's temptations and released her in exchange for a family. He fully intended to help beat her after, but Ispita was too smart to make it so easy]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Smolder]]
A young Dragoness and the new Bearer of Loyalty.
----
* TheChosenOne: She becomes the new bearer of Loyalty.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Yona]]
A young Yak.
----
* TheChosenOne: She is chosen to become the bearer of Honesty.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Sandbar]]
A young Earth pony.
----
* AscendedFanboy: He's a major fan of the Mane Six, and gets to be a member of the next Elements of Harmony wielders.
* TheChosenOne: He is chosen to become the bearer of Kindness
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ocellus]]
A young Autumn Changeling from King/High Prince Thorax's hive who is the new Bearer of Generosity.
----
* AdaptationSpeciesChange: Sort of. While still a Changeling like her canon counterpart, here she's called a New Changeling, a term for Changelings who broke their HorrorHunger curse and look more whole and brightly colored. [[spoiler:During a conflict that saw her protecting her friends, she discovers to her shock that she's actually a Royal Changeling, after going through an "Errance" that exposed her then-unknown [[SemiDivine demi-divine]] status.]]
* TheChosenOne: She was chosen as the new bearer of Generosity, after Princess Rarity/Lucia [[PassingTheTorch passed her Element onto her]].
* ReallyRoyaltyReveal: Originally, she was a simple Changeling. [[spoiler:During a conflict in which she protected her friends, she discovers to her shock that she's [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4954022010 actually a Royal Changeling]].]]
--> '''Smolder:''' Ocellus...y-you're...\
'''Ocellus:''' I...How?!
* SemiDivine: [[spoiler:She's a latent Royal Changeling, automatically making her a demigoddess. Discovering this not only shocked her and her friends, but also brought back her old fear of becoming like Chrysalis, who is implied here to be her mother.]]
* TomatoInTheMirror: She discovers to her shock that she's [[spoiler:[[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/897831515/4954022010 actually a Royal Changeling]], which implies she might actually be Chrysalis' daughter.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Silverstream]]
A young Hippogriff and the new bearer of the element of Laughter.
----
* TheChosenOne: She becomes the new bearer of the Laughter element.
* PregnantBadass: [[spoiler:She becomes pregnant with Gallus' child and does a good job showing that Gallus doesn't need to worry about her.]]
[[/folder]]

!!Sugarcube Corner
[[folder:Carrot Cake]]
Cup Cake's husband and co-owner of Sugarcube Corner.
----
* EdibleThemeNaming: He and his family are named after types of cakes; in his case, his name is Carrot Cake.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: He isn't related to the Pie family at all in canon, but here he's their cousin, which explains how Pinkie Pie ended up moving to Ponyville and working as an employee in Sugarcube Corner.
* RepetitiveName: '''Ca'''rrot '''Ca'''ke.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Cup Cake (nee Chiffon Swirl)]]
Carrot Cake's wife and co-owner of Sugarcube Corner.
----
* AlliterativeName: '''C'''up '''C'''ake.
* EdibleThemeNaming: She and her family are named after types of cakes; in her case, her name is Cup Cake. However, her birth name was Chiffon Swirl.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Pumpkin Cake]]
The Cakes' Unicorn daughter and twin sister of Pound Cake.
----
* EdibleThemeNaming: She and her family are named after types of cakes; in her case, her name is Pumpkin Cake.
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: Averted; she and Pound Cake are fraternal twins. As shown in canon, she's a Unicorn while Pound Cake is a Pegasus, with both of them having different mane, tail, and eye colors.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Pound Cake]]
Cup Cake's Pegasus son and twin brother of Pumpkin Cake.
----
* EdibleThemeNaming: He and his family are named after types of cakes; in his case, his name is Pound Cake.
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: Averted; he and Pumpkin Cake are fraternal twins. As shown in canon, he's a Pegasus while Pumpkin Cake is a Unicorn, with both of them having different mane, tail, and eye colors.

!!Other Ponyville residents
[[folder:Sir Lancer the First]]
!!!'''Character:''' Heroic
!!!'''Alignment:''' Neutral Good

!!!'''Faction:''' Ponyville (main), Equestria Pantheon

-> ''"Arf!" [Translation: "I will defend the innocent!"]''
\
Sir Lancer (his entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equus-Pets-and-Animal-Companions-2-942663776 here]]) is the loyal pet corgi of Diamond Tiara, as well as her divine champion.
----
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Spike the Dragon]]
\
A young dragon who's Twilight Sparkle's younger adoptive brother and assistant.
----
* AdaptationalBadass:
** In canon, his dragon powers never extended beyond the typical BreathWeapon and the "message breath" to Celestia. Here, being an worthy Dragon Lord who abdicated despite his short reign, gave him powers that turned him into a LightningBruiser.
** Decades in the future when he's a teenager, he's shown fighting on the front lines in the War Against Order alongside Thorax and Ember.
* BreathWeapon: As per standard for being a dragon.
* EmpoweredBadassNormal: Just like any other worthy Dragon Lord, he has the power of gods despite being 100% mortal when wielding his Dragon Lord Regalia.
* EnergyAbsorption: Reinvents the Zero Point Breakthrough to have it be able to absorb enemy dragonfire and make it his own.
* FamousAncestor: Is a descendant of Prince Arcaniss aka ''G1 Spike''. One time, he met him face to face and subsequently fainted out of shock.
* HappilyAdopted: By Twilight Sparkle, who serves as his CoolBigSis. Her mother, Twilight Velvet, would also welcome Spike into the family despite him being a dragon, and [[MamaBear would go after anyone who shows anti-Dragon racism towards him]].
* HarmfulToMinors: He along with Princess Twilight/Amicitia were targeted by Children of Platinum assassins who tried killing them, but fortunately, Prince-Regent Blueblood foiled the plot. Rarity tearfully hugged them both afterwards, terrified that she nearly lost two of her best friends to political conflict.
* {{HUD}}: His Empyrean Eye, part of his Dragon Lord Regalia. It gauges his various flame outputs from his mouth, hands, and feet.
* AnIcePerson: Zero Point Breakthrough: First edition. He traps his foe in ice.
* InterspeciesFriendship: He befriended [[DisabledDeity Prince Healing Song]] over being lovers of tabletop games such as ''Ogres & Oubliettes'', which is an InUniverse SpiritualSuccessor of ''Castles and Cavaliers'' that Healing Song frequently played in the Second Age.
* PalsWithJesus: Despite being a young mortal Dragon, he has become friends/acquaintances with lots of demi-deities and true deities. Besides Twilight/Amicitia, who is her adoptive sister, there's also the Mane Six and King/High Prince Thorax following the latter's Ascension. He also plays ''Ogres & Oubliettes'' roleplay sessions with deities like Prince Healing Song and Discord.
* PlayingWithFire: Using his pair of dragonfire gauntlets called ''Imperious Terra'', he's able to blast dragonfire and Primordial Quintessence.
* ShipperOnDeck: He's this to Thorax and Ember, telling them to GetARoom when they start bickering LikeAnOldMarriedCouple during the Fourth Battle of Manehatten. While they deny it, he rolls his eyes and mentally comments on the fact they're still very young for their species.
* SummonToHand: Can call his Dragon Lord Regalia to him at will.
* SuperMode: His Dragon Lord Regalia, a pair of dragonfire gauntlets called ''Imperious Terra'', meaning "Heaven and Earth" in the most accurate Equestrian Ponish translation. It allows him to fight at high speeds while making his powers even more dangerous. While usually worthy Dragon Lords can use it like an everyday tool, his young age meant that he can't channel it for long without causing permanent damage to his body. Arcaniss had to put a time limiter on it, resulting in this trope.
* SpiritAdvisor: As an ex-Dragon Lord, he can call upon the assistance of past Dragon Lords of the Equestrian Dragonflight via the stored "time".
* {{Teleportation}}: Implied. His "message breath" to Celestia can be used to teleport anything to anywhere of his choosing. As of present day, it's just theory and speculation.
* YouAreInCommandNow: He would one day wield the Bloodstone Scepter a second time due to an incident that challenged Dragon Lord Ember's rule of the Equestrian Dragonflight. He would return it to her anyway.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Starlight Glimmer, the Egalitarian Principal]]
----
* AchievementsInIgnorance: Manages to [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/843809841/4855516505 unintentionally]] take over Equestria by becoming its Prime Minister in the fateful elections which led to the infamous Canterlot Coup and the subsequent Second Equestrian Civil War, succeeding by luck and lawful means where her villainous self failed to do so.
* AnimalNemesis: Hers are the kite eating trees that roam Equestria, as they have eaten plenty of her kites.
--> '''Starlight''': "AAUGH! Stupid Kite Eating Tree!"
* TheArchmage: Magically and intellectually she was nearly a match for Princess Twilight/Amicitia, a fact which led to her becoming the Princess of Magic and Friendship's first student after she had her HeelFaceTurn. She is powerful and skilled enough as a mortal wizardess that she could basically inflict a CurbstompBattle on anyone who isn't a demigod, and perhaps even then given, again, this is a mare who could magically battle ''Princess Twilight herself'' to a standstill.
* TheAtoner: She ''immensely'' regretted her Equalist phase and breaking the timeline no less than seven times, and worked hard to make amends for it. By the time she became the Prime Minister of Equestria and saw it through many reforms, a civil war and a global conflict she had pretty much got the atoning part squared away.
* BadassTeacher: She eventually became the principal of the School of Friendship, hence her title.
* TheChosenOne: She's chosen by Discord to wield the Element of Dark Magic, one of the Elements of Chaos, after making them.
* CurbstompBattle: A whole company of treacherous Royal Equestrian Army soldiers armed to the teeth was sent to eliminate newly-elected Prime Minister Starlight Glimmer at her new residence as part of the Canterlot Coup. Being the prodigious Unicorn magician she is -- one who once dueled Princess Twilight Sparkle herself to a standstill -- Starlight Glimmer almost single-hoofedly ''[[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/875815844/4932129922 decimated]]'' them in battle, culminating in her roasting their flanks with dragonfire in the form of a Dragon.
--> '''Starlight Glimmer:''' [[WhosLaughingNow WHO'S THE WEAKLING STOOGE NOW]], '''PUNKS?!'''
* DeityOfHumanOrigin: By the Fifth Age, [[spoiler:she Ascended to godhood as Princess Aequitas Iumen Equestria, the Alicorn goddess of Equality, and became a representative of the Royal Equestrian Interstellar Commonwealth.]]
* DidntSeeThatComing: Starlight Glimmer entered politics in the then-nascent constitutional monarchy at the head of the Equestrian Egalitarian Party mostly to prevent malignant factions such as the Autorist Iron Wolves from taking advantage of it to win power legitimately and takeover Equestria from within. She did NOT expect herself to [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/843809841/4855516505 end up]] becoming the Prime Minister of Equestria, taking leadership of the country right as it descends into a Second Equestrian Civil War and being dragged into the Terra Equus Continental War. Ironically, where her villainous self had wanted to convert Equestria to Equalism without success, her heroic self end up actually taking over the country without even meaning to.
--> '''Sunburst:''' Starlight, did you just ''took over'' Equestria?!\
'''Starlight Glimmer:''' I... wasn't planning on doing that.
* TheDreaded: As part of the Canterlot Coup, treacherous Equestrian General Jewel Cutter [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/875815844/4932127610 sent]] a whole company of coup-aligned Equestrian soldiers armed to the teeth with anti-magic support to storm Prime Minister Starlight Glimmer's residence and eliminate the newly-elected head of government. Why, you may ask? Because Starlight Glimmer, the Egalitarian Principal is a Unicorn magic-using genius of prodigious power, knowledge and skills who once dueled ''[[SemiDivine Princess Twilight Sparkle]]'' to a standstill and later became her first personal student. The General may be a treacherous bloodthirsty psychopath, [[FunctionalGenreSavvy but he is no fool]], and knows that barring actual ''demigods'' she might be too much to handle for most Ponies even with [[WeHaveReserves overwhelming]] [[ZergRush numbers]], [[MoreDakka superior firepower]], exotic tools and the advantage of surprise on their side -- and true to his fears, [[CurbstompBattle it wasn't]] [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/875815844/4932129922 enough]].
--> '''Lord Vineyard:''' All this for the Prime Minister, General? [[JustOneMan She's just one mare]]!\
'''General Jewel Cutter:''' Yes, Lord Vineyard. ''All'' this for one mare. ''Pray'' this would be enough.
* EccentricMentor: She may had one in her own grandmother, with whom she had a love-hate relationship on account of them [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/866359163/4899430924 fighting]] with their magic almost every time they meet. Given how well her own magical abilities had been honed from these clashes, this leads to her husband Sunburst and her daughter Luster Dawn [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/875815844/4932289946 speculating]] that her grandmother deliberately did this to train her and make sure she never becomes complacent.
* FictionalPoliticalParty: When she entered politics, she was a [[OurFounder co-founder]] and leader of the Equestrian Egalitarian Party, with its official ideology being "Egalism" -- an improved and less extreme version of her former Equalist beliefs -- championing the creation of a fairer, more egalitarian and progressive Equestrian society through political, social and economic reforms.
* TheGoodChancellor: It's noted that as Prime Minister, Starlight Glimmer not only managed to see the country through a CivilWar and a global conflict, but also managed to pass many much-needed progressive reforms which served to make Equestrian society fairer and better in the long run.
* GuileHero: Being almost as intelligent and knowledgeable as Princess Twilight/Amicitia, Starlight Glimmer has her moments post-reformation.
** During her first term as Prime Minister, she found her agenda and governance being held hostage by her political opponents, who had enough votes to prevent her from passing the national budget. Refusing to cave, her [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/875815844/4946610205 solution]] to get around their threat was to take a page out of the political [[{{UsefulNotes/OttoVonBismarck}} Chancellor Bismarck]] by reusing ''last'' year's national budget (which was agreed upon and passed) plus whatever surplus remaining to meet the present year's needs, [[BatmanGambit banking on the fact]] her political opposition don't have enough votes to stop her from doing it, the courts being quite literally too backlogged from processing thousands of cases from the Second Equestrian CivilWar for even an injunction to be filed, and the fact that the opposition can't hope to do anymore [[SlaveToPR without making themselves look bad politically]] by stalling the agenda of an administration which is going above and beyond to hold the country together and see them through the crises and conflicts they were presently dealing with.
* HeelFaceTurn: Was the leader of a twisted Equalist cult before she realize the errors of her ways. She's still egalitarian, but does so in a more constructive manner.
* OurFounder: Was a co-founder of the School of Friendship with her mentor and friend Princess Twilight/Amicitia and eventually became its principal. Also the founder of the Equestrian Egalitarian Party when she entered politics.
* PassingTheTorch: Like canon, she becomes the Principal of the School of Friendship after Twilight becomes the new ruler of Equestria, succeeding Twilight as Equestria's ruler.
* PurpleIsPowerful: She's a purple unicorn and magic is her specialty.
* RankUp: Like canon, she succeeds Twilight as the principal of the School of Friendship. After entering politics, she (accidentally) became Prime Minister of Equestria.
* TheRival: When she entered politics, she got one in [[{{Expy}} Long]] [[{{UsefulNotes/HueyLong}} Kingfish]], a Southern Equestrian politician who despite having similar political agendas [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/866359163/4929988674 distrusted]] her motives ([[spoiler:she resembles too much the Communists he disliked himself back when he was a Southern ''Ponyland'' politician]]), and would go on to become one of her biggest political opponents and contenders, although they would still put aside their differences when it matters the most for the greater good of the country.
* TakeOverTheWorld: Downplayed in both cases.
** As her original Equalist cultist self, she had plans to spread her twisted ideals of Equality to all of Equestria and beyond if she have the chance, starting by converting the Mane Six. She dropped those plans following her HeelFaceTurn, if still quite dedicated to egalitarianism.
** She ''[[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/843809841/4855516505 accidentally]]'' took over Equestria when she was elected prime minister of Equestria at the head of the Equestrian Egalitarian Party she formed. She had entered politics at the time with only the intent to stop the Autorist National Equestrian Populist Party of the Equestrian Iron Wolves under 'Alpha' Wind Storm from winning the elections and taking over Equestria in a constitutional manner, but it kickstarted a series of events which led to her becoming the elected leader of Equestria's constitutional monarchy when the Autorists and other malignant parties contested the results with a coup which triggered the Second Equestrian CivilWar. Remarkably, she did a pretty good job even though she DidntSeeThatComing.
* YouAreInCommandNow: Like canon, she is made the principal of the school of friendship after Twilight/Amitica becomes the ruler of Equestria. She was later voted to be the Prime Minister of Equestria.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Lyra Heartstrings]]
The sweetheart of Bon Bon, also known as Sweetie Drops. She would later become Sweetie Drops' wife.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: While much of her isn't known due to having not been adapted into the Codexverse yet, here, she's depicted as the mortal demi-divine descendant of Blue Suede Heartstrings, the Alicorn god of Music and Humility who's based on Music/ElvisPresley himself.
* DivineParentage: It's rumored in-universe that she's a demi-divine descendant of [[Music/ElvisPresley Blue Suede Heartstrings]], the Alicorn god of Music and Humility, through one of his deceased lovers, making her an extremely diluted case. Supporting this fact is Blue's support of her music career and his blessing of her relationship (and later marriage) with Bon Bon/Sweetie Drops. Lyra was shocked when she discovered that the rumors surrounding them were in fact true.
--> '''Lyra Heartstrings:''' ''(shocked)'' I'M RELATED TO THE KING OF MUSIC?!!\
'''Bon Bon/Sweetie Drops:''' [[DullSurprise Wow, that sure explains a lot]].
* HeroicLineage: She has a [[DivineParentage divine ancestor]], Blue Suede Heartstrings, known as "the King of Music". And like him, she's an accomplished musician and a benevolent mare. Her lineage was rumored in-universe until she discovered, to her shock, that the rumors were actually true.
* LikeFatherLikeSon: Like her divine ancestor, Blue Suede Heartstrings, she would take up music as her career and become skilled with a certain instrument; in her case, it's a lyre.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: She and Music/ElvisPresley are completely unrelated to each other, but here she's a very distant descendant of his [[NoCelebritiesWereHarmed expy]], Blue Suede Heartstrings, through one of his deceased lovers.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Bon Bon/Sweetie Drops]]
The sweetheart of Lyra Heartstrings. She would later become Lyra's wife.
----
* DullSurprise: Her response to discovering that Lyra Heartstrings is a demi-divine descendant of Blue Suede Heartstrings is a deadpan, "Wow, that sure explains a lot."

[[folder:Button Mash, the Gamer of Ponyville]]
!!!'''Character:''' Heroic
!!!'''Alignment:''' Neutral Good
!!!'''Type:''' Avid Gamer/Hero-in-the-Making
!!!'''Faction:''' Ponyville

-> ''"HIGH SCORE!"''
\
Button Mash (his entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equestria-Heroes-and-Villains-7-795137585 here]]) is a young Earth pony colt and avid video-game fan who, according to Luminiferous, is a potential hero in the making.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: In canon, he's just a colt who likes playing video/arcade games. Here, he's revealed to have potential to become an [[PhysicalGod Alicorn]]... of [[HeartIsAnAwesomePower Video Games]]. In particular, his gaming-related powers, combined with being powered up by the lost, tormented souls of several dead video-gamers, allowed him to utterly ''[[CurbStompBattle dominate]]'' his fight with [[EldritchAbomination CreepEntity513]].
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He's a young colt who loves playing video-games and has a crush on Sweetie Bell. However, as [=CreepEntity513=] learned the hard way, he doesn't take kindly to his friends being threatened, and is quite courageous when it counts. Upon realizing that [=CreepEntity513=] would go after the Cutie Mark Crusaders once he's dead, Button Mash proceeded to call him out for being a sadistic bully and [[CurbStompBattle utterly demolished him]] during their fight.
* ChildrenAreSpecial: Luminiferous notes that as the God of Potential and Perfection, his powers work best on young children, as they generally have heightened potential. When Button Mash used the power of his future potential in a fight against [=CreepEntity513=], a video game-based EldritchAbomination, it temporarily transformed him into an Alicorn.
* CurbStompBattle: [=CreepEntity513=] didn't stand a chance when he temporarily transformed into the Alicorn of Video Games thanks to Luminiferous empowering him with his future potential. The souls of [=CreepEntity513=]'s victims helped out, too.
* DeityOfHumanOrigin: He's not there yet, but his temporary transformation into an Alicorn while fighting [=CreepEntity513=] shows that he has the potential to become this in the future. Luminiferous seeks to cultivate this hidden potential so Ascension will be made possible for him.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: His talent in video games doesn't seem like much, until he confronts the digital EldritchAbomination [=CreepEntity513=], who had been killing/torturing/traumatizing gamers everywhere it went. When temporarily given his future potential by Luminiferous, he turns into a young Alicorn of Video Games, able to see a person's life force in the form of a video game-style LifeMeter, and call on digital entities and borrowed specific techniques from various games. [[CurbStompBattle CreepEntity513 didn't even stand a chance]].
* HeroesPreferSwords: During his battle with [=CreepEntity513=], he wielded a digital great-sword that ultimately proved instrumental in the {{Eldritch Abomination}}'s defeat and death. It's implied in his entry that one of the weapons he can summon from various video-games are swords.
* HeroWorshipper: He idolizes King, an Earth pony gamer from the Second Age, both for his gaming skills and the fact that [[CowardlyLion he was able to remain brave and stand down some of the scariest villains and monsters despite being scared deep down]]. Even knowing that King had flaws (that he's a coward at heart and [[spoiler:his reputation as a hero in life was based on lies]]) doesn't deter him from his admiration, as without him, he wouldn't find the courage to endure scary parts in his video-games. When King admits to Button Mash that [[HeroicSelfDeprecation he's no hero]], Button Mash tells him [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre he's already a hero because of all the good he had done]].
--> '''Button Mash:''' ''(on why he sees King as his hero)'' King told me that he gets scared a lot, but turns out he worked past it several times so more lives could be saved. That's what makes him cooler than most superheroes. I mean, having laser eyes and being able to fly and punch walls is pretty cool, but staying brave enough to fight a villain despite being scared deep down? That's awesome. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't find the courage to finish that Earth Temple dungeon. That place is like, full of screaming zombies that hug you to death if you get close enough. Eugh.
* HumbleHero: His entry notes that for all his achievements, he's quite humble. This is due to the influence of his father 8-Bit and his idol [[Webcomic/OnePunchMan King]], who are both humble stallions themselves.
* KarmicJackpot: What largely led to his victory over [[EldritchAbomination CreepEntity513]].
** He befriended the young Alicorn demigod, Crystal Prism, while the latter was visiting Ponyville, even gifting him with a video game. This is what allowed Luminiferous to come to Button's aid after Crystal had a troubling vision about the colt, thanks to his [[{{Seers}} empathetic foresight]]. After [=CreepEntity513=] was defeated and killed, Crystal Prism [[BigDamnHeroes came to Button's rescue]] and led both him and [=CreepEntity513=]'s victims (both dead and living) to safety while the game world was collapsing.
** His desire to stop [=CreepEntity513=] from going after his loved ones, as well as [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech exposing the monster as nothing more than a sadistic bully]], inspired [=CreepEntity513=]'s victims with hope that they ''can'' be freed from their eternal torment -- one of its victims turned out to be none other than King, Button's idol, whose spirit tried protecting the younger gamers from [=CreepEntity513=] long after his death and the Second Age's end. This allowed Button to be empowered further, even after Luminiferous temporarily gave him his future potential.
* LifeMeter: After he was temporarily empowered by Luminiferous and turned into the Alicorn of Gaming, he gained the ability to see a person's life in the form of digital "health point" bars that float above their heads. These bars gradually empty themselves with each successful attack upon them.
* MagicHair: His temporary transformation into an Alicorn of Gaming gave him a mane and tail composed of energized pixels.
* NightmareFuel: InUniverse; he considers the "[[Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda screaming zombies that hug you to death if you get close enough]]" to be this for him, and admits that if it weren't for the fact that [[CowardlyLion King]] is his idol, he wouldn't find the courage to finish the [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTheWindWaker Earth Temple dungeon]]. It's implied that Button Mash is referring to the Codexverse equivalent of [=ReDeads=].
* OCStandIn: In canon, he only had a second of screen-time. Here, in the Codexverse, he was expanded on and given a fleshed-out backstory and personality of his own outside of his obsession with video-games. Notably, he played a huge role in defeating [[EldritchAbomination CreepEntity513]] and rescuing its victims, something that never happened in canon.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Justified in his fight against [=CreepEntity513=], as he's a young colt empowered both by the future potential that was lent to him by Luminiferous, and the energy gifted to him by the spirits of [=CreepEntity513=]'s various victims.
* PlayingWithFire: Borrowing [[Franchise/StreetFighter Ken Master]]'s Shinryuken manifested in him doing [[ElementalPunch a flaming, spinning uppercut]].
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: After he was dragged into the video-game world by [=CreepEntity513=], he called out the entity for being a sadistic bully who enjoyed tormenting his victims, drawing from his own experiences with [[TheBully Diamond Tiara]] (at least, before she [[ReformedBully redeemed herself]]). This is what inspired many of [=CreepEntity513=]'s victims to empower Button Mash, granting him power in addition to the potential that Luminiferous' trinket unlocked.
* {{Shoryuken}}: He borrowed [[Franchise/StreetFighter Ken Master]]'s Shinryuken as one of his moves used in his fight against [=CreepEntity513=].
* WingedUnicorn: When temporarily empowered by Luminiferous, his future potential is revealed to be that of an Alicorn (though a young one) whose domain revolves around video games. A [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/795137585/4794432106 canonized drabble implies]] he's going to train with Luminiferous to try to ascend... to stop predatory microtransactions. This caused many game developers seeking to do those things to [[MassOhCrap start sweating]]. However, another [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/841235669/4841806527 drabble]] reveals that Prince Maestro has taken him as his student instead due to seeing the colt as a kindred spirit.
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: After King expresses guilt over [[spoiler:letting everyone in the Second Age think he's an S-Class Hero when he's just a normal pony]] and admits that he's "no hero" because he gets scared, Button Mash tells him that he's already a hero because he has done so much to help other ponies despite his constant terror.

[[folder:Filthy Rich]]
Diamond Tiara's father and Spoiled Rich's ex-husband.
----
* INeedAFreakingDrink: He took out a flask of alcohol for a sip after witnessing -- to his stupefied incredulity -- how [[SeriousBusiness seriously]] his daughter and the other children of Ponyville took to a [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/898458204/4958457691 game]] of paintball between colts and fillies.
-->'''Filthy Rich:''' It's ''waaay'' too early in the morning for this.
* PapaWolf: He went through this when he learned his young daughter and her friend were attacked and nearly killed by a group of religious/judicial extremists for having the potential to be evil. He was seen repeatedly thanking Prince Fanged Paw after the latter saved Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.
* OutlivingOnesOffspring: If Prince Fanged Paw hadn't [[BigDamnHeroes intervened]] when a group of young Poenan followers tried [[WouldHurtAChild attacking Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon]], Filthy Rich would end up outliving his own daughter. It's because of this that he was seen repeatedly thanking Fanged Paw for protecting Diamond Tiara after the incident.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Spoiled Rich (nee Spoiled Milk)]]
Diamond Tiara's mother, and Filthy Rich's ex-wife.
----
* AbusiveParents: Like in canon, she's emotionally abusive to Diamond Tiara, disapproving of how her daughter interacted with "commoners" and molding her into a RichBitch like herself. When Diamond Tiara earned her tiara Cutie Mark, she was adamant that it represented being part of the social elite, refusing to believe that she actually earned it while leading a group of foals in playtime. She was also such a perfectionist that she harshly berated Diamond Tiara whenever she failed at something or didn't meet her high expectations, leaving the poor filly terrified of catching her mother's ire as she would look for anything to find fault with. While she lessened her abusive behavior after Diamond Tiara finally and publicly called her out, her resentment over how far Diamond Tiara was straying from her plans for her eventually boiled over, causing her to strike her daughter in a fit of rage. Despite Filthy Rich divorcing her and slapping her with restraining orders, she later tried kidnapping Diamond Tiara while the latter was out on a playdate with her friends, obsessed with elevating the Spoiled family name. This not only almost got herself killed by [[VengefulGhost Caring Dreams]], but also reported and arrested by local authorities once her crime was revealed.
* AdaptationalVillainy: While she was a horrible person and mother in canon, the Codexverse made her even more unlikeable, as thanks to her bad influence, Diamond Tiara went from a sweet, headstrong filly who stood against bullies to a a spoiled, haughty AlphaBitch who bullied those she deemed to be beneath her.
* AdaptationalWealth: Her family is one of the branches of the Spoiled Clan that's fallen into hard times, necessitating her ArrangedMarriage to the wealthy Filthy Rich. Her financial status is put in jeopardy once Filthy Rich divorces her and files restraining orders against her for abusing Diamond Tiara, and she is later arrested for trying to kidnap Diamond Tiara.
* ArrangedMarriage: Her marriage to Filthy Rich was apparently arranged because Filthy Rich's wealth and business talents were great boons for her family, who came from a failing branch of the wider Spoiled Clan.
* AwfulWeddedLife: Her marriage to Filthy Rich, while it provided the money her family needed, was anything but happy. Filthy Rich didn't like her snobbish attitude or the way she raised their daughter, Diamond Tiara, but he was often too busy to do anything about it. It's not until he caught her striking Diamond Tiara in a fit of rage that he finally divorced her and filed restraining orders as a preemptive measure.
* BlueBlood: It's rumored that she (along with the wider Spoiled Clan) is distantly related to Earth Pony royalty and/or nobility dating back to the "Three Tribes Era". It certainly does explain her snobbish attitude towards almost everyone.
* CallingTheOldManOut: She ends up on the receiving end of this when Diamond Tiara, fed up with her snobbish, perfectionist attitude, calls her out for being an emotionally abusive mother in front of everyone, and gets her to pass along a request to Filthy Rich to donate funds for a new schoolhouse playground. She dials down on her snobbish behavior out of pragmatism, but eventually her resentment towards Diamond Tiara for straying from her plans for her pushes her to strike her daughter in a fit of rage.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood:
** She interpreted Diamond Tiara's Cutie Mark, which actually represented leadership, as being part of the social elite and doubled down on her indoctrination of her, refusing to believe that she earned her Cutie Mark through positive ways.
** She was angry at Diamond Tiara for losing her job as editor-in-chief of the Ponyville school newspaper, but was more angry at the fact that Diamond Tiara lost her job to someone else and not because it happened due to her using morally unethical practices that would have gotten her fired in any workplace.
** She was furious that Diamond Tiara lost the class presidency, and harshly berated her for it, nevermind that the reason Diamond Tiara lost is because she emulated her mother's [[CorruptPolitician ruthlessness]] to win. It's also heavily implied that she refused to give Pipsqueak (who ran against Diamond Tiara) the funds necessary to build a new playground to [[EvilIsPetty spite the colt for being chosen as class president over her daughter]].
* EvilIsPetty: It's implied she's the reason why Pipsqueak had trouble funding a new playground for the Ponyville schoolhouse -- as a member of the Poyville school board, she wanted to get back at the colt for winning against Diamond Tiara, nevermind that the reason why Diamond Tiara lost is because she emulated her mother's ruthlessness during the class presidential campaign.
* HateSink: Like in canon, there's nothing likeable about her, as the Codexverse touches more on how her emotionally abusive treatment of Diamond Tiara affected her daughter's personality and life as she grew. She's also given a reason for why she treated Diamond Tiara the way she did, but it just makes her even worse because of how petty and self-serving it is.
* ImpoverishedPatrician: Though part of the Spoiled Clan and a (rumored) descendant of Earth Pony royalty/nobility from the "Three Tribes Era", she had the misfortune of being a member of a failing clan branch that made poor financial decisions (among other things). This influenced how she treated Diamond Tiara, as she was so obsessed with elevating the Spoiled family name that she indoctrinated her daughter to act like a spoiled, perfectionist RichBitch like herself.
* LaserGuidedKarma: In addition to being [[CallingTheOldManOut told off by Diamond Tiara]] for her emotional abuse like what happened in canon, she ends getting divorced and losing custody of Diamond Tiara to Filthy Rich after he witnessed her striking their daughter in a rage. Later on, her attempted kidnapping of Diamond Tiara while she's out playing with her friends not only gets her nearly killed by the murderous [[VengefulGhost Caring Dreams]], but also arrested once her crime is reported to local authorities.
* MeaningfulName: Like her canon counterpart, she's exactly what her name implies, [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin spoiled and rich]]. She's also just as rotten as her birth name, Spoiled Milk.
* ThePerfectionist: Being a member of Ponyville's elite, she's a snobbish mare who indoctrinated Diamond Tiara to succeed in everything no matter what she did, and berated her daughter in an emotionally abusive way after she lost against Pipsqueak in the class presidential election. She drilled the need to win into Diamond Tiara's head so deeply that the latter was left both lingering perfectionist tendencies of her own and a genuine fear of being punished if she failed even in the smallest things. In fact, what led to her striking Diamond Tiara in a fit of rage was her increasing anger and discontent towards her daughter for moving away from what she planned for her to be, Diamond Tiara's own desires be damned.
* PragmaticVillainy: After being [[CallingTheOldManOut called out by Diamond Tiara]] in front of her entire class, she dialed down on her haughtiness out of pragmatism, since one wrong move against Diamond Tiara would reflect poorly on her career and station. Sadly, it didn't last for long; after growing increasingly discontent and resentful over how far Diamond Tiara moved away from what she planned for her to be, she eventually snapped and struck her daughter in a fit of rage, leading to Filthy Rich divorcing her and slapping her with restraining orders.
* RichBitch: She's a rumored descendant of Earth Pony royalty/nobility from the "Three Tribes Era", and prior to their divorce, she was married to the wealthy Filthy Rich. She's also a snobbish, entitled mare who looked down on those she perceived as commoners and indoctrinated her daughter, Diamond Tiara, to follow her ways, turning the latter into [[AlphaBitch a mini-clone of her]]. However, unlike Diamond Tiara, who [[HeelFaceTurn eventually grew out of it]], she remained stuck in her ways, [[LaserGuidedKarma which ended up costing her dearly]].
* UnfortunateNames: Her birth name was Spoiled Milk, but she found it so embarrassing that she quickly and happily discarded it upon marrying Filthy Rich. Even Jade Shell was astounded by how atrocious it was.
--> '''[[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/909949548/5011039484 Jade Shell]]:''' Her birth name was ''Spoiled Milk?'' No wonder she changed her name upon marrying.
* WealthsInAName: Just like in canon, her married name, Spoiled Rich, refers to both her wealth and her snobbish, entitled attitude.
* WouldHurtAChild: She strikes Diamond Tiara in a fit of rage after letting her own anger and resentment towards her daughter boil over. This leads to [[PapaWolf Filthy Rich]] divorcing and filing restraining orders against her to protect Diamond Tiara after he walks in on them. Later on, she tries kidnapping Diamond Tiara despite said restraining orders, and gets attacked by [[VengefulGhost Caring Dreams]] who nearly kills her for abusing Diamond Tiara. While she is saved by Maternity love's intervention, she is still reported and arrested for her crime.

-> ''{{Never let the world get you down for being what you are, and never abandon what makes you who you are.}}''
\
Vinyl Scratch, known as her current alias "DJ Pone-3" (her entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equestria-Heroes-and-Villains-32-865162143 here]]), is a resident of Ponyville and one of its preeminent musician. While wider Equestria may know her as a relatively popular DJ from Ponyville, until recently only those living in Ponyville their whole lives know there is something more to Vinyl Scratch than meets the eye. Despite her youthful appearance, Vinyl Scratch had been around for a ''long'' time, and where she lived as a Pony by day, it would be in the dark of the night where her true nature come manifest...
----
* AdaptationSpeciesChange: Ponyville's preeminent DJ Vinyl Scratch/'DJ Pone-3' is a Unicorn in canon. Here, she's a Unicorn Vampire who's using glamours to disguise her true appearance.
* TheAgeless: Vinyl Scratch's vampirism meant that despite being around 500 years old, she looked as if she's still a young mare in her prime.
* BatPeople: She hides a pair of bat-wings beneath her glamours, making her a pseudo-'Pegacorn' with the power of flight.
* {{Bloodlust}}: Like many vampires, she has this, and it's noted that while she could recharge by drinking blood from a blood-bank or bury herself in the soil of the earth, nothing makes a vampire like her more alive like feeding on a live Pony/Sapient, as drinking warm, fresh blood is ''very'' intoxicating for their kind.
* CoolOldLady: On account of being a 500-years old FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire, Vinyl Scratch is actually older than many of the actual grannies in Equestria despite looking much younger. Her roommate would note how surreal this is upon [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/857612387/4892368397 witnessing]] Vinyl Scratch acting like this trope to an old mare she was a friend/acquaintance back when they were much younger, and note it's seeing her acting like her age that made her truly appreciate just how venerable her roommate/soulmate was.
--> '''Fruit Juice:''' Let me have a look at you... Oh my stars, [[TheAgeless you haven't aged a day]]. Your fur is still as smooth and soft as it was the day you first held me in your hooves...\
'''Vinyl Scratch:''' {{You know it. And you are still as spry and spirited as when I first saw you. That lively energy of yours still haven't gone out from your eyes even after all these years.}}\
'''Fruit Juice:''' Oh, I wish I still look like it on the outside. Time hasn't been as kind to me: before we know it, [[WeAreAsMayflies I've gone from the pretty young filly who couldn't stop dancing to ye music to an ugly old mare who can't even walk without a cane...]]\
'''Vinyl Scratch:''' {{[[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre Don't say that]]... If you ask me, I still see the same wonderful young mare I met all those decades ago. [[PetTheDog Time has only made you even more pretty]], my [[AffectionateNickname sweet little filly]].}}\
'''Fruit Juice:''' Hehehe... and you still know the best ways to cheer me up...!
* DaywalkingVampire: Downplayed. Unlike [[WeakenedByTheLight Vampires like War Rock]], Vinyl Scratch is more resistant to sunlight, though she can be still weakened and harmed by it. This is exploited during a battle against a Count Dracolta resurrected by Mistletoe Dreamer, with her holding him down when day breaks while he was distracted by the Council of Friendship with the knowledge that sunlight will insta-kill him.
* DeathSeeker: Subverted. While Vampirism has its downsides, and she does consider death preferable if she loses control of herself completely one day and become little more than a ravenous vampiric beast who would hurt her loved ones, but Vinyl ultimately resolves to keep living so long as she can find Ponies like Octavia to share her existence with throughout the centuries.
* TheDreaded:
** Being a vampire, Vinyl Scratch immediately invokes this on many ordinary Ponies who realize her true nature. The trio of depraved crooks she stumbled upon in Manehattan, belligerent moments before, were immediately left in utter terror as soon as she reveals her vampire self.
** Inverted for Vinyl Scratch [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/857612387/4891789503 with]] Lady Wolfsbane, on account of many supernatural monsters having developed [[TheDreaded an instinctive fear]] of [[HunterOfMonsters the]] [[BadassFamily Wolfsbane]] [[HeroicLineage Legacy]] for being such effective hunters of their monstrous kinds. Luckily, Lady Wolfsbane assures her and Octavia she is an [[EveryoneHasStandards honourable hunter]] who recognizes existence of friendly non-malicious 'monsters' and doesn't go about committing VanHelsingHateCrimes.
* DrunkWithPower: While she has great self-control, she notes that she always loved every moment she revels in her power and sate her bloodlust whenever she cuts loose. She admits this scares her as it makes her doubt her Equinity and is afraid of hurting those she love and care for like Octavia.
* ForHalloweenIAmGoingAsMyself: Vinyl [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/930826834/5018341067 sometimes]] go out on Nightmare Night in her true form as a Equestrian Vampire in the event she can't find a better costume. Downplayed in that most Ponyvillians already know she's a vampire, with some residents complaining about her doing that as 'cheating'.
* FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire: It's eventually [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/857612387/4891632612 revealed]] she's actually a vampire, but despite her vampiric instincts, she's heroic and while having some angst about it, able to only feed off evil people and restrain herself from killing them. It's also stated that Ponyville is aware she's a vampire and generally fine with it. Ponyville learned she was one after she saved it, and a young filly, from a werewolf.
* FurAgainstFang: Ponyville learned she was a vampire after she saved a filly from a genuinely evil werewolf. She won but was badly injured in the process.
* GameFace: She normally hides her true vampire form behind glamours and shapeshifting. She can pull this trope off pretty well as a result, as the three monstrous thugs she found in Manehatten learned the hard way.
* GrailInTheGarbage: A [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/859065132/4892554731 drabble]] and her entry revealed while she was mortal, she was once an unwitting owner of the legendary ''Violino Rosso'' -- the "[[Film/TheRedViolin Crimson Violin]]" -- which originated from the 17th century of the Second Age, and is famous for not only its hauntingly beautiful music, but also its famous red varnish (made from the blood of the violin-maker's deceased wife and unborn child in an act of pique) and more infamously the various misfortunes plaguing those who come to own and achieve musical success with the instrument. [[AmbiguousSituation The verdict is still out whether or not it really is]] '[[ArtifactOfDoom cursed]]', or that this 'curse' is responsible for Vinyl Scratch being turned into a Vampire, but Vinyl Scratch decided after finding the instrument five hundred years later not to take any chances and have the thing magically-purified before giving it to her room/soulmate Octavia as her Hearths Warming Eve present.
* GoodFeelsGood: Doing heroic good things with her vampire powers makes Vinyl feel good, but unfortunately she often finds the intoxication of preying and feeding on Ponies just as pleasurable and difficult to resist.
* HemoErotic: To highlight the monstrous passions and literal {{Bloodlust}} vampires like her experiences, the act of drinking warm and fresh blood from living beings is described as ''ecstasy'' for vampires like Vinyl Scratch. Vinyl was depicted as being literally aroused from drinking the blood of three depraved crooks in Manehattan after she thrashed them.
* HorrorHunger: While she has other means to recharge herself other than feeding on others, such as burying herself in soil at the park or in a bathtub full of it or buy from the blood-bank, she notes that nothing compares to the sheer ecstasy of feeding on the warm fresh blood of live Ponies and other beings, and sooner or later the compulsion to feed would be too strong for her to resist, which causes her no end of angst. She gets around it by attacking and feeding [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/857612387/4891632612 on those who deserve it]], and even then never to kill them or turn them into Vampires/Familiars/Ghouls.
* KarmicJackpot:
** Silent Song/Vinyl Scratch [[spoiler:intervened the night Apple Smith was foraging in the Everfree Forest to save her from the Timberwolves and giving her the chance she need to get home with the Zap Apples she found]]. This act of heroic generosity (and several more from the background) won her the undying gratitude of the [[spoiler:Apple Clan]], who didn't turn against her when they found out she is a Vampire and even supported her decision to settle down in Ponyville.
** Silent Song/Vinyl Scratch [[FurAgainstFang killing an evil Equestrian Werewolf]] and [[BigDamnHeroes saving a farmhoof's daughter which the beast kidnapped]] went a long way to convince Ponyville she meant no harm despite coming out as a Vampire, and she was eventually [[FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire fully accepted by the community]].
** Having saved the settlement from being wiped out by a terrible Skinwalker, both Vinyl and Octavia are lauded as heroes in Dodge Junction and awarded high honours by the Equestrian Crown itself for their actions in killing the ancient supernatural SerialKiller.
* LastOfTheirKind: She's the last member of the noble house she was born into 500 years ago. Nearly all the members had either died, or went elsewhere and vanished from history. Vinyl Scratch still mourns their loss to this day.
* LivingForeverIsAwesome: While she had lost people to old age, and has to deal with doubts over her own Equinity and the issues of her Vampiric state for around 500 years, she ultimately finds living worthwhile so long as she gets friends and loved ones who care for her and she care for back like Octavia to spend her existence with.
* MindManipulation: She can hypnotize other Ponies with her eyes if she could maintain concentration and contact long enough. She also maintains glamours which allows her to hide her vampiric features, such as her bat-wings.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: During the '[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicIDWIssue43To45 Ponies of Dark Water]]' incident in the Codexverse, being splashed with the tainted Dark Waters magnified her Vampiric nature and impulses and turned her into the ravenous blood-thirsting monster which she feared she already is or would eventually become. Fortunately Princess Luna's presence and that it happened in daytime when she is weakened by sunlight managed to avert any casualties it could had caused. She still trembles whenever she recalls the incident, either from the passions she experienced while in that state or the fact that she might have really hurt other Ponies, including her present roommate / soulmate Octavia.
* NeverAcceptedInHisHometown: Subverted. It took a few generations, and she had to work hard to gain their trust, but by the present day her adoptive hometown Ponyville had accepted her into their community and don't hold her vampirism against her. Helps that she was also [[AHeroToHisHometown its guardian hero/vigilante]].
* OhCrap:
** This was understandably her reaction to meeting Lady Wolfsbane, due to supernatural monsters having an instinctive dread of the Wolfsbane Legacy for being such proficient monster hunters. Fortunately, Lady Wolfsbane doesn't kill good monsters.
** Has another one she [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/875815844/4930302757 realizes she and Octavia]] wondered into the same area as a SkinWalker. Supernatural monsters so evil and powerful they're nigh universally [[TheDreaded feared]], even by vampires like her. She has another one when she realizes [[spoiler:Severed Strings is the SkinWalker and intends to slaughter the entire town she and Octavia are in.]]
* OffWithHisHead: After mortally-wounding the Skinwalker [[spoiler:Severed String]] with a white ash-tipped dagger, Vinyl ripped off the monster's head just to be absolutely sure the Skinwalker terrorizing Dodge Junction is dead.
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: Vinyl Scratch is an Equestrian Vampire, whose lineage originates from [[MadGod Nightmare Moon]]'s attempts to create supernatural [[SuperSoldier super-soldiers]] to fight her sister's forces during the 'First Equestrian Civil War' a thousand years ago. Naturally, being derived from other strains and possessing Luna/NNM's own unique touches, Equestrian vampires resembles and varies from other Vampirekinds worldwide in many ways.
* OpenSecret: The status of her vampirism by the present day in Ponyville. Every local resident knows it, but don't make a big deal about it. It helps that the rules against breaking the veil over Equestrian Vampirekind's existence was relaxed over the centuries so she doesn't end up getting into trouble over it. With the publication of her entry and recent events in other parts of Equestria, the secret is now starting to go out beyond Ponyville.
* PalsWithJesus: [[Music/ElvisPresley Blue Suede Heartstrings]], now known as Prince Caerulus Melodia Equestria of the Equestrian Pantheon, had befriended her and Octavia while in Ponyville. This is due to [[CommonalityConnection sharing similar passions in creating and playing music]].
* PeoplePuppets: She can apparently turn Ponies into familiars/ghouls after feeding on them without turning them into Vampires, but can choose not to.
* PowerFloats: While it could also had been her natural Unicorn magic, she is capable of levitating by a form of telekinesis.
* ProHumanTranshuman: Being the FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire of Ponyville, she does not wish to harm Ponies and would gladly befriend and fight for them, as [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/857612387/4891712323 demonstrated]] when she fought on the side of the Council of Friendship when a Count Dracolta resurrected by the evil Mistletoe Dreamer come over to drink blood from the Ponies there, much to that Count Dracolta's shock
--> '''Count Dracolta:''' You are one of my kind! Why side with THEM?!\
'''Vinyl Scratch:''' {{Because they're my friends! This is my town, not your personal buffet! I won't let you touch them!}}
* ProtoSuperhero: Noted to be this in the 'Fourth Age' by 'Second Age' standards, as she acted as an antiheroic guardian/vigilante for Ponyville, saving Ponies and fighting off threats with her supernatural vampiric powers.
* PunyEarthlings: Her mindset occasionally lapses into this regarding mortals when she gets into the heat of the moment while out on the hunt, [[SmugSuper reveling in her vampiric power]] over her targets. She doesn't ''want'' to feel that way, but it comes naturally to her as a vampire, contributing to her SupernaturalAngst.
* Really700YearsOld: She's actually at least 500 years old due to being a vampire.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Her eyes glow red whenever her vampiric nature manifests itself, giving her a truly terrifying appearance together with her other traits. The more she embrace her vampiric urges and summons her powers the more prominent they appear, to the point they drown out her pupils when she starts feeding on blood.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Then under the identity of Silent Song, Vinyl Scratch [[spoiler:helped a young Apple Smith escape from the Timberwolves of the Everfree Forest during the night she went foraging for food]]. This allowed [[spoiler:Apple Smith to bring home the signature Zap Apple crop with which the Apple Clan would build their fortune, leading Ponies to settle in the area and found a town which Silent Song/Vinyl Scratch would later settle in herself]]. Without Silent/Vinyl's aid, [[spoiler:Apple Smith might never had got home with those Zap Apples, and there wouldn't had been an Apple Clan or Ponyville]]. It's for this reason [[spoiler:when Apple Smith found out Silent Song/Vinyl Scratch was a Vampire, [[BecauseYouWereNiceToMe she didn't hold it against her and even supported her decision to settle in Ponyville]], backing her up with the full weight of the Apple Clan and [[KarmicJackpot ensuring she would eventually be accepted by the community]]]].
* SmugSuper: During hunts when she is caught up in her {{Bloodlust}}, she occasionally lapses into this, reveling in her vampiric power over [[PunyEarthlings her targets]]. She don't ''want'' to feel that way, but couldn't help herself as it comes naturally, contributing to her SupernaturalAngst.
* TheSpeechless: Literally, as Vinyl Scratch had a physical disability that makes her mute, which not even her Vampiric nature fixed. All those times she is 'heard' speaking in the comics was in fact Vinyl exploiting her Vampiric power of telepathy to communicate, which she is forever grateful for.
* SupernaturalAngst: Occasionally doubts her own Equinity, [[WhatMeasureIsANonHuman wondering if she's just a mare who happens to be a blood-drinking creature of the night]], [[IAmAMonster or if she is a bloodthirsty monster who merely deludes herself into thinking she's still one]]. Justified in that like many Vampires she constantly struggles against her own inner bloodlust and have to [[HorrorHunger resist the temptation to go all-out feeding it]] and [[DrunkWithPower reveling in]] [[SmugSuper her superiority]] [[PunyEarthlings over mortals]].
* SuperSmoke: Vinyl Scratch can turn herself into mist like certain kinds of vampire, disassembling and reassembling herself at a heartbeat, which she used to her advantage in combat to become intangible to attacks.
* SuperSoldier: Vinyl is [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/865004440/4899579844 noted]] by [[WordOfGod her author]] to have the power-set she and her fellow Equestrian Vampires do because Princess Luna intended them to be this trope for her, optimizing her particular strain to maximize Vampires' advantages while doing what she could to minimize the weaknesses. Because of this, Equestrian Vampires like Vinyl are noted to be particularly powerful and able to punch above their weight in age, skills and experience.
* SuperSpeed: She could move so fast an ordinary crossbow-wielding marks-pony struggled to track and hit her in any way, appearing like a blur running, parkouring and flying.
* SuperStrength: She is strong enough to throw a fully-grown stallion against a wall hard enough to break his bones and shatter masonry. This also translates to her telekinetic grip.
* SuperToughness: Her limbs alone are tough enough to block a skull-shattering blow from a stallion without a scratch.
* {{Telepathy}}: She could read minds and broadcast her thoughts to others through her vampiric telepathy, which is immensely convenient for her as she is actually mute.
* TerrorHero: Being a FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire, she gets around her HorrorHunger and other vampiric impulses by hunting and fighting bad guys every now and then, protecting and saving other Ponies while at it. A trio of depraved petty crooks in Manehattan [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/857612387/4891632612 found this out]] the hard way when Vinyl Scratch stumbled upon them attempting to rob, rape and murder an innocent mare, leaving them thrashed by her with her vampiric powers and had much of their blood drained before being secretly disposed at a police station. Last Vinyl heard, the traumatised trio still haven't mustered the courage to leave their cells.
* ThrowingOffTheDisability: Vinyl Scratch is mute due to a disability, but thanks to her Vampirism she found a way to express herself via vampiric power of telepathy.
* TooSpicyForYogSothoth: The tainted and rancid blood of the monstrous Skinwalkers proved too much even for Equestrian Vampires like Vinyl. She wound up having to be treated for minor poisoning and checked for potential possession by her own Sire after she drank some of the Skinwalker [[spoiler:Severed String's]] blood just to get enough strength back to kill the monster.
* VegetarianVampire: Vinyl often recharges by burying herself in soil or buy blood-packs from a hospital blood bank. When she does feed on Ponies, her morals and self-control prevents her from outright killing the person, only sapping most of their vitality away while avoid turning them into vampires/familiars/ghouls like herself. And even then, she only targets [[AssholeVictim evil, villainous individuals]].
* ViralTransformation: She could turn those whose blood she drinks into Vampires, although she has control over the process and could choose not to do it.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: While her glamours helped covered up her traits, it's implied she can also shapeshift, which hides the fact she actually has proportions to rival Canterlot model Fleur De Lis in her true form.
* WhatMeasureIsANonhuman: Vinyl Scratch occasionally wonders whether she is a mare with the trappings of a monster, or a monster with the trappings of a mare.
* WhatWereYouThinking: After all these centuries, she still couldn't figure out why Ponyville would think voting Soup Sandwich -- [[Fanfic/TheGreatAlicornHunt a Pony whom his habit of wearing pants on his head]] is the ''least'' [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} eccentric/insane thing about him]] -- as their first mayor was somehow a good idea.
* TheWorfEffect: On the receiving end when confronting the Skinwalker [[spoiler:Severed String]] at Dodge Junction. While she's a 500-year-old Equestrian Vampire, Skinwalkers are just that much more powerful and evil than even your average Equestrian Werewolf she was nearly overpowered by it/[[spoiler:him]], made worse by the fact that it/[[spoiler:he]] can only be harmed/killed by a specially-prepared White Ash-tipped weapon, which Octavia had to bring in while Vinyl hold it/[[spoiler:him]] off to have any chance of winning.

Bijou (her entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equestria-Heroes-and-Villains-34-875815844 here]]) is a promising young Mephitine fashion designer and student of Princess Rarity/Lucia.
----
* TheApprentice: She became a student of Rarity/Lucia when it comes to fashion and heroics.
* DogStereotype: Defied. She's not fond of the stereotype that being a poodle Diamond Dog means she's a RichBitch, spoiled, or ''has'' to be Prench. She ''is'' fluent in Prench from her father, but she primarily speaks Equestrian Ponish and Diamonese and has a Diamond Dog's typical accent.
* HybridPower: Diamond Dogs and Great Skunks are pretty compatible as it turns out, with both being extremely good diggers, making her superior than both while having their combined abilities.
* SmellySkunk: She's half Great Skunk on her father's side, giving her the ability to spray a horrible smelling musk from the base of her tail. She was initially insecure about this due to HalfBreedDiscrimination, but Rarity helped her overcome it.

[[folder:Soup Sandwich, first Mayor of Ponyville]]
----
* AdaptationalBackstoryChange: Soup Sandwich is revealed to be a member of the 'Sandwich Clan', an Equestrian clan infamous for their collective [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} eccentricity]].
* CanonImmigrant: Imported from ''Fanfic/TheGreatAlicornHunt'' by Creator/RalphHayesJr, where he was held responsible for the 'silly' policies of Winter Wrap-Up which Twilight Sparkle had called out on. It turns out listening to the wisdom of a stallion [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} who thinks it's normal to wear his pants like a hat]] isn't exactly a good idea.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: This guy somehow thinks wearing his pants on his head like a hat is a good idea, and created a number of silly activities and strange festivals for the town which varies from being harmless fun to wackily idiotic.
* OurFounder: Implied to be a co-founder of the settlement of Ponyville besides being its first elected mayor.
* PosthumousCharacter: He is probably dead by present day, since he is not mentioned at all, though some Ponies from his era are still around, such as Granny Smith and Silent Song/[[spoiler:Vinyl Scratch]].
* RiddleForTheAges: How the hay did this silly/crazy Pony get elected as the first mayor of Ponyville?
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Downplayed, but he was the first mayor of Ponyville and some of his silly/crazy policies left a mark in Ponyville well into the present day, such as Winter Wrap-Up.

!!Redeemed Sunnytowners
[[folder:General]]
* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: All of the redeemed Sunnytowners suffered from extreme trauma over losing their loved ones to Cutie Parks and being indoctrinated by Grey Hoof to kill innocent Ponies, as well as guilt-ridden for causing and/or condoning Ruby Heart's murder. And because they endured all this for ''centuries'', they weren't able to properly adapt to normal society after fleeing to Ponyville. Thankfully, many benevolent deities had taken interest in the Sunnytowners, finally giving them the help they desperately needed.
* AdaptationalBackstoryChange: All of them were Sunnytown natives who either lost family and friends to Cutie Pox, were indoctrinated by Grey Hoof, or both. They also played a role in Ruby Heart's death, whether directly or indirectly, leading to them getting cursed by Pakak as punishment, setting up the events of ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks''.
* AdaptationalBadass: As zombies, they were both immortal and didn't need to eat, drink, or sleep, allowing them to hunt down their victims unimpeded. Here, they turned back to normal after repenting for their crimes and breaking free of Pakak's curse, but almost all of them gained special powers upon getting their own Cutie Marks, became divine Clerics, or both. The only exception was Roneo, who didn't get as strong due to Gladstone sheltering him aside from him wielding a frying pan as a weapon.
* AdaptationalExplanation: While their zombification made them both immortal and TheNeedless, it was explained here as the product of a divine curse. [[TricksterGod Pakak]] cast said curse in anger over how they killed an innocent filly for possessing a Cutie Mark without checking to see if she was infected with Cutie Pox.
* AdaptationalHeroism: Thanks to Ruby Heart and Mitta, they all repented for their crimes (including their roles in Ruby Heart's gruesome murder) and pulled a collective HeelFaceTurn, allowing them to break Pakak's zombification curse and flee to Ponyville. This didn't happen in ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks''.
* TheAtoner: All of the Sunnytowners became this after realizing that murdering young Ruby Heart for having a Cutie Mark without checking to see if she was actually infected first. This was invoked by Pakak's curse -- the only way to escape it is if they realized what they did was wrong and took responsibility for their crimes. As a result, the Sunnytowners are trying their best to redeem themselves after settling down in Ponyville.
* CursedWithAwesome: Pakak's zombification curse granted them immortality, along with [[TheNeedless removing the need to eat, sleep, breathe, or drink]]. This allowed them to hunt down their victims unimpeded. After repenting for their crimes and breaking free of the curse, however, they were restored back to normal Earth Ponies, with all that implied.
* HeelFaceTurn: They were once followers of Grey Hoof either willingly or unwillingly, [[KarmicTransformation which got them transformed into immortal zombies by Pakak]]. However, thanks to Ruby Heart, Mitta, and Grief, many Sunnytowners realized the error of their ways and accepted responsibility for their crimes, turning them back to normal and allowing them to flee Sunnytown.
* KarmaHoudini: They're seen as this by the [[KnightTemplar Poenans]], who [[ReformedButRejected aren't convinced that they've genuinely atoned for their crimes]]. The "Judgement Day" attack on Ponyville was the Poenans' attempt to punish the redeemed Sunnytowners, as well as all of Ponyville for sheltering them.
* KarmicTransformation: They were all transformed into zombies by Pakak as punishment for either participating in Ruby Heart's gruesome murder or condoning it. Once they realize their sins and genuinely atone for it, they succeed in breaking the curse on themselves, allowing them to flee Sunnytown and settle down in Ponyville.
* LongLived: The Sunnytowners were relatively young Earth Ponies until Pakak cursed them, and they lived during the following centuries as immortal zombies. Once they atoned for their crimes and broke the curse, they were turned back to how they were before Pakak's curse, making them a case of ReallySevenHundredYearsOld.
* TheNeedless: Pakak's zombification curse left all four of them unburdened by the need to eat, sleep, or breathe. Breaking free of the curse restored all of their biological functions back.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: Them being zombies was the result of a curse inflicted upon them by [[TricksterGod Pakak]], who punished Sunnytown for Ruby Heart's murder by making the residents' appearances as grotesque as their actions. As zombies, they're granted immortality, and are [[TheNeedless unburdened by the need to eat, sleep, or breathe]]. Breaking free of Pakak's curse restored them back to normal in their prime, though all those centuries of living as a zombie made them incredibly LongLived.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Due to the nature of Pakak's zombification curse and them being relatively young when they were cursed, all of the redeemed Sunnytowners appear physically young despite being chronologically several centuries old.
* ReformedButRejected: Deconstructed. The Poenans aren't convinced they genuinely reformed and believe the repentant Sunnytowners were EasilyForgiven for their crimes. The "Judgement Day" attack was the Poenans' attempt to punish both the Sunnytowners and the Ponyvillers for sheltering them.
* ThereAreNoTherapists: Justified. Sunnytown was completely isolated from the rest of Equestria due to being located deep in the Everfree Forest, and its only residents were zombies, the direct results of Pakak cursing the Sunnytowners for murdering young Ruby Heart out of paranoia. This means many Sunnytowners went without the means to help deal with their trauma over Ruby Heart's death and Grey Hoof's malicious influence for centuries. It's later averted when some Sunnytowners managed to break free of Pakak's curse and escape, leading to them finally getting the help they needed once many deities learned of their situation.

\
Three Leaf (her entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equestria-Heroes-and-Villains-15-820302734 here]]) is a childhood friend of Grey Hoof who has since cut ties with him, and a former resident of Sunnytown.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: In ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'', she is one of many zombie enemies that Apple Bloom (and the player) must avoid. Here, she has [[MagicMusic music]]-based [[HealingHands healing powers]] that are enhanced further if she sings and/or plays an instrument (like a piano). She also [[GrewaSpine grows enough of a backbone]] since leaving Sunnytown that she verbally tears into several Poenans for being a bunch of hypocritical {{Knight Templar}}s who hurt people out of fanaticism, driving them to ''flee in shame''.
* AdaptationalSkill: Being one of Grey Hoof's followers for years made her skilled in persuasion and emotional manipulation, which she didn't have in ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks''. [[LoveGoddess Amour-De-Soi]] influenced her to use these skills in helping people feel better emotionally and encourage them to do good things. She also can sing and play various instruments [[MagicMusic because of how her healing powers work]], and she increased both skills while under Blue Suede's tutelage.
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: She's Grey Hoof's childhood friend and ([[HeelFaceTurn initially]]) one of his staunchest supporters in the Codexverse, whereas in ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'' they had no such connections.
* AstonishinglyAppropriateAppearance: Her Cutie Mark depicts blue music notes reviving and healing a dead flower, representing her desire and ability to heal through music.
* BrokenBird: Despite cutting ties with Grey Hoof, accepting responsibility for her involvement in Ruby Heart's murder, and breaking free of Pakak's curse, her trauma from centuries of emotional/mental abuse and losing everyone close to her didn't entirely go away. Grey Hoof's influence on her was so great that she still distrusted/feared Cutie Marks, was eager to please others, and tended to be obsessively clingy. She also bore great reluctance to accept psychiatric help and resume pursuing her musical healing talents again despite ''really'' wanting to because her fear of becoming "infected" still lingered. As such, because of her psychological trauma, she is genuinely baffled when Blue Suede Heartstrings still decides to help her despite hearing of her crimes, and feels that she doesn't deserve it. It takes Blue magically severing the friendship "rope" connecting her to Grey Hoof for her to finally move on, and Blue himself equates her life and experiences in Sunnytown to being stuck in "[[Music/ElvisPresley Hearbreak Hotel]]" for a very long time.
* CloseToHome: Her [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech angry response]] to the Poenans who attacked both Ponyville and her fellow redeemed Sunnytowners stems from her experiences with Grey Hoof, who psychologically manipulated her into following his views to the point where she became a fanatical murderer out of loyalty.
* EmeraldPower: She has a bright green pelt and a dark green mane and tail, and she's the only redeemed Sunnytowner who has healing powers -- specifically, MagicMusic-based healing. Her talents were initially suppressed by Grey Hoof so she wouldn't develop a Cutie Mark, but after pulling a HeelFaceTurn and settling down in Ponyville, she gained her Cutie Mark and let her talents flourish, especially under Blue Suede's tutelage.
* EtTuBrute: She ''really'' didn't take it well when she discovered her adoptive mother didn't actually "leave" Sunnytown, but was actually killed by Grey Hoof, who lied about it for centuries. This, combined with Grey Hoof's threats and increasing emotional abuse, pushed her to make a HeelFaceTurn and disown Grey Hoof as her friend. Unfortunately, she was still emotionally attached to Grey Hoof on some level, requiring Blue Suede Heartstrings to intervene and sever her bond with Grey Hoof with his domain of Philia Love.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: While "Evil" doesn't apply to her anymore at this point, she was so [[BrokenBird broken]] by her experiences in Sunnytown that she was genuinely baffled why someone like [[NiceGuy Blue Suede Heartstrings]] would still find the compassion and mercy to help her break free from Grey Hoof's abusive influence, despite hearing of her horrific crimes.
--> '''Three Leaf:''' ...Why did you help me, Blue? You've heard what I've done. Why did you help me...?\
'''Blue Suede Heartstrings:''' Because it's the right thing to do, ma'am. Now, I don't agree with what you and your fellas had done, but after [[TheEmpath looking at your heart]], it was pretty obvious you needed help. And it wouldn't feel right if I left you be just because you swung with the wrong crowd.\
'''Three Leaf:''' I... I don't deserve this...\
'''Blue Suede Heartstrings:''' Yes, you do. Ever heard of '[[Music/ElvisPresley Heartbreak Hotel]]'?\
'''Three Leaf:''' No...?\
'''Blue Suede Heartstrings:''' In my day, 'Heartbreak Hotel' is what we called a terrible, sad, and lonely place where brokenhearted folks go. You were stuck in that place for a VERY long time, ma'am. I think it's time we get you outta there and help you move into some place BETTER.
* GreenAndMean: She's an Earth Pony mare with a bright green pelt and a dark green mane and tail. She was also one of Grey Hoof's loyal followers, having advocated for Ruby Heart's execution pre-zombification, and then later helping Grey Hoof hunt down and killing innocent Ponies with Cutie Marks under the belief of "saving" them from Cutie Pox. This later gets averted after a series of events causes her to question her own beliefs, and learning that Grey Hoof killed her adoptive mother in secret and lied about it cemented her HeelFaceTurn. After Blue Suede severs her bond with Grey Hoof and she recovers from her PTSD, she decides to form a support group to help her fellow Sunnytowners, with additional plans to open her own healing clinic.
* HappilyAdopted: She was adopted by a healer mare who worked hard to help cure the surviving Sunnytowners of Cutie Parks after the initial outbreak. While she wanted to become a healer like her adoptive mother, their relationship soured when she befriended the charismatic and increasingly fanatical Grey Hoof. She refused to listen to her adoptive mother's warnings, and confided to Grey Hoof about her after a series of arguments between them. This led to Grey Hoof secretly killing and burying her adoptive mother in an unmarked grave, but she didn't learn about this until centuries later during a heated argument with Grey Hoof. The revelation that her own friend murdered her adoptive mother pushed her to cut ties with Grey Hoof and pull a HeelFaceTurn. Sometime later, with Mitta's help, she would locate her adoptive mother's grave and reconcile with her spirit via Grief.
* HeavenlyBlue: Her Cutie Mark depicts blue music notes reviving and healing a dead flower, representing her desire/ability to heal with MagicMusic. It also refers to Blue Suede Heartstrings, an Alicorn god who not only helped her break free of Grey Hoof's influence, but also taught her how to play music.
* HeelRealization: Mitta becoming Everfree's guardian and gaining her own Cutie Mark, combined with Ruby Heart and Grief's efforts in redeeming the Sunnytowners, caused her to realize she truly felt stifled and unhappy with her lot in life, unable to remember the last time she truly enjoyed doing something. What cemented her HeelFaceTurn was Grey Hoof's abuse, and learning he actually killed her adoptive mother and lied to her about it for centuries.
* LoveMakesYouDumb: As a healer-in-training, she would've known better than to assume that gaining a Cutie Mark does not equate to Cutie Pox infection. However, her emotional attachment to Grey Hoof, her trauma as a Cutie Pox survivor, and Grey Hoof's toxic influence caused her to make ''severe'' misjudgments, leading to the deaths of Ruby Heart and countless innocent Ponies after that. Because of this, Mitta ended up [[SympathyForTheDevil pitying her]] despite her role in Ruby Heart's murder.
* LoveMakesYouEvil: Her history with Grey Hoof as his childhood friend and her (unrequited) crush on him were what factored into her BlindLoyalty towards him. She eventually snaps out of it -- a series of events causes her to have a HeelRealization, leading to her discovering during a heated argument that [[EtTuBrute Grey Hoof killed her adoptive mother instead of making her "leave" Sunnytown as she always believed]]. This angers her enough that she cuts ties with Grey Hoof. Unfortunately, she was still subconsciously attached to Grey Hoof on some level, requiring intervention from Blue Suede Heartstrings in order for her to truly move on.
* MagicMusic: Her main talent is [[HealingHands musical healing]], which she channels through singing. With her voice, she can magically accelerate physical healing, uplift people's spirits, and ebb feelings of aggression, anxiety, and nervousness. She can also [[ForcedSleep sing lullabies to help people fall asleep]], since sleeping is an important part of healing. Befriending Lyra Heartstrings led to her discovering her powers can be enhanced with instruments, which led to her taking up the piano as her primary instrument. And after meeting Blue Suede Heartstrings, her singing skills have improved under his tutelage.
* TheMagnificent: She was initially known as "the Broken Song" in Ponyville due to being an aspiring singer/healer who was utterly and emotionally broken by her childhood friend, Grey Hoof. After recovering from her traumas, leaving Grey Hoof, and having her ties with him magically severed by Blue Suede Heartstrings, she would found a support group to help abuse victims such as her fellow repentant Sunnytowners. Her heroic actions would earn her a new title, "the Voice of Hope".
* MoralityPet: Subverted and played for drama. She befriended Grey Hoof in their youth over their shared pain of losing their biological parents to Cutie Pox, and even developed a crush on him. However, while it's likely Grey Hoof genuinely cared for her, their friendship didn't stop him from going down the path he took, as he cared about his own beliefs more and corrupted her so he'll continue receiving her loyalty. Cosmos cynically lampshaded this, saying that, "[Grey Hoof] took that innocent mare's hoof and dragged her along through the mud." Eventually, she comes to realize Grey Hoof's toxicity as a person and broke ties with him after discovering (among other things) that he killed her adoptive mother and lied to her about it for centuries.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: She sees the [[KnightTemplar Poenan Pantheon and their followers]] as being similar to Grey Hoof -- like Grey Hoof, the Poenans have hurt innocent people for supposed 'crimes' and lied to their victims to make them believe they're guilty for something they're not. When she makes this clear in her TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to them, it was so effected that some Poenans ''fled in shame'' in response.
* ObliviouslyEvil: She has UndyingLoyalty towards Grey Hoof, both because of her childhood crush on him and because of his charisma, and because of this she is unable to truly understand that her actions towards Ruby Heart and others were wrong. Ruby Heart and Grief afire working to break her out of this so she can properly acknowledge and atone for her sins.
* ParentalAbandonment: First she lost both of her biological parents to Cutie Pox. Then her adoptive mother, a healer, was murdered by Grey Hoof, who then covered it up with lies. Discovering the truth about the latter was what pushed her to cut ties with Grey Hoof and pull a HeelFaceTurn.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: She would give an ''epic'' one to a group of mortal Poenan followers when they tried attacking other repentant Sunnytowners, angrily stating that they're not so different from Grey Hoof in hurting innocent people and lying to their victims to make them believe they're guilty for something they're not or have already atoned for. It was so effective that it caused some Poenans to ''flee in shame''. The rest were [[CurbStompBattle quickly defeated]] by an angry Blue Suede Heartstrings for targeting his mortal demi-divine descendant's best friend.
* SanitySlippage: Ruby Heart's murder and Sunnytown's zombification caused her sanity to deteriorate until she developed outright fanaticism, clinging to Grey Hoof's views to justify her own horrible actions. She eventually gets better after a series of events makes her have a HeelRealization about what she's doing and cut ties with Grey Hoof.
* ASharedSuffering:
** Both Three Leaf and Grey Hoof became childhood friends by bonding over their shared pain of losing their parents to Cutie Pox. Unfortunately, it's later deconstructed as this, combined with Grey Hoof's toxic influence, blinded her to Grey Hoof's worst flaws and made her attached to him beyond common sense. As a result, Ruby Heart is gruesomely murdered, and Pakak curses all of Sunnytown for their actions, leading to everyone suffering.
** Cosmos sees Three Leaf as a kindred spirit due to both of them being in a past abusive relationship (Discord in Cosmos' case, Grey Hoof in Three Leaf's), with the normally mad and depraved goddess showing a softer side around her.
** As a result of forming positive bonds with people who genuinely care for her wellbeing, she developed sympathy for abuse victims and a [[OpposeWhatYouSuffered hatred]] for those who abuse innocent people.
* TheShrink: She's an example of the "Awesome Shrink". After recovering from her PTSD and atoning for her sins, she would start a support group in Ponyville, with the intent of helping her fellow Sunnytowners recover from both Grey Hoof's toxic influence and the horror. According to Mitta, she also plans to officially open up her own healing clinic that deals with psychological healing in addition to physical healing.
* WeUsedtoBeFriends: She was Grey Hoof's childhood friend, and stayed loyal to him even after things went to hell for Sunnytown due to the locals attracting the wrath of a TricksterGod. However, a combination of Grey Hoof's abuse, discovering the truth behind her adoptive mother's fate, and other events led to her cutting ties with Grey Hoof and pulling a HeelFaceTurn. However, it's not until meeting Blue Suede Heartstrings that she finally breaks free of Grey Hoof's influence for good, as Blue Suede's domain of Philia Love gave him the power to magically sever her bond with her former friend. It's noted that while she hated Grey Hoof for his deceptions, deep down she actually wanted Grey Hoof to change his ways and reconcile with her. Blue Suede's intervention made her realize Grey Hoof was BeyondRedemption.
* WideEyedIdealist: Deconstructed and played for drama. She started off as idealistic and wanting to help others due to being raised by a healer, and planned to become a healer herself. This led to her befriending the then-young Grey Hoof out of compassion and understanding of his pain of loss, even developing an unrequited crush on him. Unfortunately, her kindness blinded her to Grey Hoof's worst traits, and while he did genuinely care for her, he exploited their friendship to corrupt her into a loyal follower, leading to Ruby Heart's murder and everyone being cursed with zombification by an angry Pakak. For centuries, she murdered innocent Ponies with Cutie Marks under the belief that she was "curing" them, but a series of events slowly caused her to have a HeelRealization. Grey Hoof abusing her to make her stay, combined with learning the truth that he killed her adoptive mother and then lied about her "leaving" Sunnytown, finally convinced her of her childhood friend's toxic maliciousness and cut ties with him.

Roneo (his entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equestria-Heroes-and-Villains-16-820831202 here]]) is a former follower of Grey Hoof who has since left and settled down in Ponyville.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: Downplayed. Roneo was a zombie enemy Apple Bloom must avoid in ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'', but here, once he atoned for causing Ruby Heart's death and was freed of his curse, he never gets to develop abilities and skills of his own thanks to [[KnightTemplarBigBrother Gladstone]] sheltering him. He does upgrade to fighting with a FryingPanOfDoom during the "Judgement Day" attack in order to protect Starlet from the [[KnightTemplar Poenans]].
* AdaptationalSkill: Roneo in the Codexverse is an aspiring writer and once wrote a song called "[[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse Independent Together]]" for Blue Suede Heartstrings, which was hugely successful. He didn't have this in ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks''.
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: Blue Suede Heartstrings believes that if he had been born in the early Second Age, he would've been publicly ostracized for being "spineless" and "cowardly" due to toxic gender roles/expectations in that time.
* BlueIsHeroic: He has a bright blue mane and tail, and during his time as one of Grey Hoof's followers, he was a TokenGoodTeammate as he wasn't as fanatic or murderous as Grey Hoof or his neighbors, thanks to [[BigBrotherInstinct Gladstone]]'s influence and presence. Then he became completely heroic after he had a HeelFaceTurn and broke free of Pakak's curse by atoning for his sins.
* FryingPanOfDoom: To make up for his lack of actual fighting ability that his girlfriend, older brother, and former Sunnytown neighbors possess, he started using the humble frying pan as his weapon. A few Poenans got their faces full of frying pan from when they tried going after Starlet.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: He realized post-Curse that [[UngratefulBastard killing the same filly who helped him woo his girlfriend]] over something so innocent and ridiculous as gaining a Cutie Mark wasn't the best idea he ever had.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: He's the younger biological brother of Gladstone in the Codexverse, whereas in ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'' they had no such connections.
* SemiDivine: It's believed in-universe that he is another descendant of Blue Suede Heartstrings due to heavily resembling him, which would give him a partial divine heritage if true.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: He's a near-splitting image of [[HumbleHero Blue Suede Heartstrings]], except he has a bright blue mane and tail and a writing Cutie Mark, while Blue has a dark blue mane and tail and a heart-shaped guitar Cutie Mark. It's heavily implied in his entry that he is Blue's descendant through one of his past lovers, [[SemiDivine which would leave him with some portion of Primordial Quintessence if true]].
* TraumaButton: Ruby Heart's dying screams traumatized him so much that screams -- especially the screams of foals -- would set him off. Fortunately, he is recovering from this thanks to [[TheShrink Mentálne]], the Bogolenya Deer-Draconequus goddess of Mental Healing, as well as joining Three Leaf's support group for recovering Sunnytowners.
* UngratefulBastard: Deconstructed. Thanks to Grey Hoof's toxic influence, he turned on Ruby Heart the moment she got a Cutie Mark for helping him find the ruby he was going to give to his fillyfriend, Starlet, and both he and Starlet advocated for Ruby Heart's death. This led to a disguised Pakak finding Ruby Heart's burnt corpse and cursing all of the surviving Sunnytowners with zombification, forced to repeat the day they killed an innocent filly year after year. Needless to say, he ''really'' regretted what he had done to get himself and his neighbors into such a situation, even acknowledging that his head was far up his own flanks for him to be so horrible to Ruby Heart.

Gladstone (his entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equestria-Heroes-and-Villains-22-829383957 here]]) is Roneo's older brother and a former resident of Sunnytown.
----
* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: In ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'', he didn't have much of a personality beyond his complicity in Ruby Heart's murder and loyalty to Grey Hoof. Here in the Codexverse, he's a stoic and pragmatic, yet deeply traumatized stallion whose actions were largely motivated by his desire to protect Roneo, his younger brother and the only biological family he has left.
* AdaptationalBackstoryChange: In ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'', besides his implied complicity in Ruby's death, little is known about him. Here, he's an orphan who [[PromotionToParent became the primary caretaker of his younger brother, Roneo]], following their parents' deaths from Cutie Pox. He distrusted Grey Hoof for his [[TheCorrupter corrupting influence]], but instead of helping exposing Grey Hoof's true character, he chose to solely protect Roneo in a twisted way by suppressing his brother's talents in hopes Grey Hoof would not get to him, leading to Ruby Heart's death. After Pakak cursed Sunnytown with zombification, he became one of Grey Hoof's followers solely to protect Roneo from doing horrible things. With Mitta and Ruby Heart's help, he atoned for his sins and fled to Ponyville with Roneo after breaking free of Pakak's curse, but his experiences left him traumatized and [[DeathSeeker suicidal]]. It's not until he receives support and psychiatric help from various benevolent (demi-)deities that he finds something WorthLivingFor, especially after protecting Ponyville from the Ponena Pantheon.
* AdaptationalBadass: In ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'', he is one of many zombie enemies that Apple Bloom (and the player) must avoid. Here, he's noted to be incredibly strong due to partaking in construction work, and after making a HeelFaceTurn, he would become a Cleric of Construo, the Novellus Giant god of Construction, in order to help protect Ponyville from the [[KnightTemplar Poenan Pantheon]].
* AdaptationalCurves: In ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'', he's the same size as the rest of the Sunnytowners due to the fangame [[{{Retraux}} emulating old-school video games like those of the NES era]]. Here, he's the largest of the Sunnytowners, being as tall and muscled as Big Macintosh due to his job as a construction worker.
* AdaptationalExplanation: The Codexverse explains why he ran the slowest of the five Sunnytown zombies in ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'' -- he actually didn't want to hurt Apple Bloom, but pretended to pursue her so Grey Hoof wouldn't assume he's a traitor.
* AdaptationalHeroism: In ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'', he's one of Grey Hoof's zombified followers willing to kill Apple Bloom to 'protect' her from Cutie Pox, and was implied to have been involved in Ruby's murder before that. Here, he didn't trust Grey Hoof at all and tried keeping his younger brother, Roneo, away from him, but did so in a twisted and ultimately selfish way that still contributed to Ruby Heart's death. After Sunnytown's cursing, he only sided with Grey Hoof so Roneo would be spared the horror of killing innocent Ponies, and pretended to help chase Apple Bloom to avoid being seen as a traitor. He eventually pulls a genuine HeelFaceTurn thanks to Mitta and Ruby Heart, and leaves Sunnytown together with Roneo and a few other redeemed Sunnytowners, even becoming a divine cleric later on to protect Ponyville from the [[KnightTemplar Poenans]].
* AdaptationalIntelligence: In the Codexverse, as a builder, he's knowledgeable in things like architecture design, construction, and building foundations, and can pinpoint a building's structural weaknesses. In ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'', he didn't have this knowledge.
* AdaptationalSkill: He's a construction worker with a passion for building things, which he didn't have in ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks''.
* AntiVillain: Deconstructed. He knew [[TheCorrupter what sort of person Grey Hoof is]] and opposed him from the start, but instead of fleeing Sunnytown with Roneo or exposing Grey Hoof's true character to everyone, he chose to stifle Roneo's talents in a well-meaning yet twisted and selfish attempt to protect his brother. This got him sharing Sunnytown's zombification curse as he did nothing to stop Grey Hoof from corrupting his neighbors or killing an innocent filly like Ruby Heart. After Sunnytown's zombification, he joined Grey Hoof to protect Roneo from murdering innocent Ponies, especially those with Cutie Marks. When Apple Bloom came, he pretended to pursue her so he wouldn't be seen as a traitor. The things he did caused him to rely on [[TheStoic stoicism]] and pragmatism to stave off his increasing guilt, and after breaking free from Pakak's curse, he became a barely put-together suicidal wreck whose only motivation is to protect Roneo. Fortunately, he would finally receive much-needed therapy and support from Mentálne and other benevolent individuals, such as Blue Suede Heartstrings, Prince Steel Barricade, Grief, Three Leaf, and Construo.
* BerserkButton: Much like Construo, his divine patron and mentor, he doesn't tolerate anyone destroying buildings and homes out of cruelty, or cutting corners while building things. He was enraged when he discovered that Well-To-Do's Fun Fun Land park was shoddily built, and was similarly angry when the Poenan Pantheon's attack on Ponyville destroyed several homes.
* BewareTheQuietOnes: He's a stoic and quiet stallion, which can make him intimidating at first glance, though Roneo has stated [[UsedToBeASweetKid he wasn't always like that]]. That being said, he was a former Sunnytown zombie who hunted and killed innocent Ponies for Grey Hoof (though it's solely to protect Roneo from doing it and he ''deeply'' regretted doing so). Following his HeelFaceTurn, he gained DeathSeeker inclinations, until an attack on Ponyville led to him becoming a divine Cleric to help protect the town from being destroyed.
* BigBrotherInstinct: Justified and deconstructed. After their parents' deaths, he became Roneo's [[PromotionToParent primary caretaker]] and thus is very protective of him. However, while well-intentioned, he became a KnightTemplarBigBrother who chose to protect Roneo by suppressing the latter's talents, making Roneo vulnerable to Grey Hoof's [[TheCorrupter influence]] and indirectly causing Ruby Heart's murder. After Sunnytown's cursing, he became a murderer so his brother wouldn't have to do it. While he and Roneo eventually fled Sunnytown with Mitta's help, he became extremely wracked with guilt over the things he did for his brother's sake, and protecting Roneo is what kept him from [[DrivenToSuicide acting]] on his [[DeathSeeker suicidal thoughts]]. Blue Suede Heartstrings had to spell it out to him that his overprotectiveness towards Roneo in general was hurting them both, especially Roneo, who became heavily dependent on him as a result of his sheltered upbringing.
* TheBigGuy: He is the largest of the Sunnytowners, equal to Big Macintosh in height and heavily muscled thanks to his job as a construction worker. In combat, he's an incredibly strong and fearsome fighter; after becoming a Cleric of Construo, most of his magic involves [[MindOverMatter psionic telekinesis]], enhanced [[DishingOutDirt earth magic]], and [[VoluntaryShapeshifting construction tool-based shapeshifting]]. that can be also used as weapons, such as shovels and blades. However, he's very intelligent and knowledgeable in architecture, design, and construction, making him a GeniusBruiser.
* CombatPragmatist: Unlike his more pacifistic divine patron/mentor, Construo, he's very willing to weaponize anything like [[ImprobableWeaponUser construction materials and equipment]]. It's justified as centuries of living with Grey Hoof, combined with the trauma of losing his parents at a young age, drove him to do anything to protect his loved ones. However, it's deconstructed as his pragmatism ends up clashing with Construo's beliefs, leading to Construo teaching him not to treat construction equipment as weapons unless he's in an extremely dire situation. While his pragmatism hasn't entirely gone away, it certainly lessened thanks to Construo's positive influence.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: He lost his parents to Cutie Pox at a very young age, forcing him to grow up quickly so he could take care of Roneo, his younger brother. He completely distrusted Grey Hoof, but instead of helping expose Grey Hoof's true character or just fleeing Sunnytown with Roneo, he chose to suppress Roneo's talents in a twisted attempt to protect his brother, leading to Ruby Heart's murder and Sunnytown's cursing. Afterwards, he followed Grey Hoof for centuries to protect Roneo from killing innocent Ponies, and the horrible things he did caused him to become TheStoic to dissociate himself from them. He was ForcedToWatch as Grey Hoof, as punishment for letting Apple Bloom escape, nearly succeeded in pressuring Roneo into killing a young colt with a Cutie Mark, only for Roneo to deck Grey Hoof in the face. Fortunately, Mitta rescued him, Roneo, and Starlet from the angry Sunnytowners, and with her help, he was able to break free from his curse and flee to Ponyville... but he was so traumatized by his experiences that protecting Roneo was the only thing that kept him going, and he nearly had a meltdown after hearing a screaming foal. When Blue Suede Heartstrings advises him to let go of Roneo so the latter could grow as a stallion, he starts crying, terrified by the thought of losing Roneo for good.
* DefrostingIceKing: Towards Starlet. He admits to distrusting Starlet at first because he was wholly concerned with Roneo's safety, but couldn't bring himself to hurt Roneo's feelings because his younger brother was so happy with other. He eventually grew to like Starlet as a friend, and admitted to feeling scared and helpless when Grey Hoof threatened him and Starlet to force Roneo to kill.
* DishingOutDirt: As a cleric of Construo, he possesses geokinetic magic, allowing him to control and shape both rock and earth. It's noted this is something that all Earthponies have, but being Construo's cleric (and learning from him) made his magic much more powerful.
* DraggedOffToHell: After fleeing Sunnytown for Ponyville, he would have nightmares where he is dragged off to Tartarus by his victims as punishment for his crimes.
* FreudianExcuse: His KnightTemplarBigBrother attitude towards Roneo stems from losing his parents to Cutie Pox at a very young age, [[PromotionToParent forcing him to look after Roneo himself]]. Grey Hoof's toxic charisma and how it affected Roneo (as well as Sunnytown in general_ only strengthened his resolve to protect his brother at all costs. It's deconstructed; as Blue Suede pointed out, his overprotectiveness led to both of them suffering -- him from trying to protect Roneo all the time, and Roneo from being overly dependent on his older brother to survive. The only way for him to solve this dilemma is to ''let go'' of Roneo and let him grow up properly, even if it means Roneo would make mistakes and get hurt.
* FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse: The entire reason why he became a KnightTemplarBigBrother for Roneo is because their parents died from Cutie Pox when they were younger, making him Roneo's primary caretaker. Blue Suede Heartstrings, while otherwise very sympathetic towards his troubles, explains to him that his overprotectiveness was harming both him and Roneo -- especially the latter, who became heavily dependent on him in order to function as a result of his sheltered upbringing. The only way for Roneo to grow up is if he let him do so, even if it means that Roneo will make mistakes and, yes, get hurt.
* GentleGiant: He's the biggest of the Sunnytowners, equal to Big Macintosh in height. Yet despite his numerous flaws, he is very protective of those he is close to.
* HistoricalCharactersFictionalRelative: He's the "Fictional Relative" in this case, as he is believed InUniverse to be a demi-divine descendant of Blue Suede Heartstrings, who is an [[NoCelebritiesWereHarmed expy]] of Music/ElvisPresley. Blue Suede has never confirmed or denied this.
* KnightTemplarBigBrother: Deconstructed. While he genuinely loves Roneo, the trauma of their parents' deaths and stress of raising Roneo alone made him overprotective of his brother, as well as distrustful of anyone he thinks might harm him. He was the only one who knew Grey Hoof's true character, but instead of helping expose Grey Hoof to his neighbors or just fleeing Sunnytown with Roneo from the start, he chose to suppress Roneo's talents in hopes that Grey Hoof wouldn't get to him... which led to Roneo falling under Grey Hoof's toxic influence anyway and indirectly contributed to Ruby Heart's murder. As karma for his actions, he gets cursed with zombification by Pakak along with everyone else, forcing him to work with Grey Hoof to shield Roneo from the horrible things they did to innocent Ponies. While he does eventually escape Sunnytown with Roneo thanks to Mitta's intervention, the horrible things he did for Roneo's sake left him a suicidal wreck who suffered nightmares of being DraggedOffToHell for his crimes. Blue Suede Heartstrings has to spell out to him that his overprotectiveness was causing both him and Roneo to suffer, something that makes him break down in fear that he might lose Roneo for good.
* TheMagnificent: Known as "the Steadfast Builder", due to being a talented construction worker/builder with an unwavering desire to protect those he cares about.
* MartialPacifist: Invoked; due to embodying the benevolent aspects of construction and architecture, Construo himself is a martial pacifist. He became increasingly concerned with Gladstone's extreme willingness to use construction tools and materials as weapons, so he began teaching his student/Cleric not to do it unless absolutely necessary. This led to Gladstone becoming less pragmatic, but he's still willing to do what he thinks needs to be done.
* MindOverMatter: After becoming a Cleric of Construo, he gained psionic telekinesis, which is incredibly useful due to being an Earth pony. He can use it to carry and control building materials such as bricks, stone, glass, asphalt, and cement.
* OpposeWhatYouSuffered: He hates [[KnightTemplar extremists]], since they hurt and/or corrupt innocent people just to validate their own beliefs. This stems from his horrible experiences with Grey Hoof, who corrupted the surviving population of Sunnytown, made his brother Roneo and his friends complicit in Ruby Heart's murder, and hunted down innocent Ponies who wandered into Everfree following Sunnytown's cursing. When the Poenan Pantheon and their mortal followers attacked Ponyville in the 'Judgement Day' event, he helped drive them away using the divine power of Construo, finding something to live for in the process.
* ParentalAbandonment: His parents died from Cutie Pox, leaving him and a then-young Roneo the only survivors of their family. It gets deconstructed in that it had a profound effect on him and left him with several issues, such as paranoia and overprotectiveness towards his surviving family, namely his younger brother, Roneo. He also worried himself over disappointing his dead parents for doing bad things under Grey Hoof and not taking care of Roneo enough. Fortunately, he received help in getting over his grief from Blue Suede Heartstrings, who suffered similar trauma from losing his own parents, and Grief, who helped Gladstone reconcile with his parents' spirits.
* PreAsskickingOneLiner: He would utter a defiant speech to the Poenan Pantheon and their mortal followers who tried to 'punish' Ponyville for housing repentant Sunnytowners, before calling on the divine power of Construo to be come his Cleric.
--> '''Gladstone:''' You can beat me up, tear me down, or rip me apart... but I will not have another group of extremists ruin what my brother, my neighbors, and I had begun to cherish so much!
* PromotionToParent: He became Roneo's primary caretaker after their parents died from Cutie Pox.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: He's the older biological brother of Roneo in the Codexverse, whereas in ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'' they had no such connections.
* SemiDivine: His brother, Roneo, is often believed InUniverse to be another descendant of Blue Suede Heartstrings through one of his deceased lovers due to sharing similar color schemes and talents in music, which would give him a partial divine heritage if true. This would mean that Gladstone himself is also partially divine. Blue Suede has never confirmed or denied this.
* SoProudOfYou: Since learning to trust Roneo in making his own decisions, he's become very proud of his little brother's achievements, including writing a highly successful song that Blue Suede Heartstrings performed for a concert in Ponyville.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Deconstructed. He's a decent stallion who loves his brother and doesn't trust Grey Hoof at all, but circumstances beyond his control forced him to join Grey Hoof so he could protect Roneo from him. The horrible things he did as one of Grey Hoof's followers caused him to repress his mounting guilt with stoic pragmatism as a way to justify his actions. After breaking free of his zombification and leaving Sunnytown, his trauma manifested in the form of nightmares of his victims and [[DeathSeeker suicidal thoughts]], the only thing keeping him from [[DrivenToSuicide killing himself]] being his fear of leaving Roneo unprotected. Fortunately, he would finally receive much-needed therapy from Mentálne, and support from deities and mortals who genuinely love and care for him.

Starlet (her entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equestria-Heroes-and-Villains-24-833374860 here]]) is Roneo's girlfriend, and a former follower of Grey Hoof who has since settled down in Ponyvile.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: In ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'', she is the fastest of the zombie enemies. Here, her fast speed is justified with having natural Earth pony magic, and of the Sunnytowners, she was noted to have come close to capturing Apple Bloom. After making a HeelFaceTurn, she would pursue acting and activate her [[{{Mutants}} Twice as Fancy mutation]], giving her strong light magic. While fighting the [[KnightTemplar Poenan Pantheon]], she would become a Cleric of Sola Mors, the Alicorn goddess of Death, Performance, Empathy, and Courage, which would give her empathic powers and divinely-enhanced running speed and agility to make up for her weakened Earth pony magic.
* BlindedByTheLight: She can make blinding flashbangs with her light magic.
%%* DarkAndTroubledPast: [WIP]
* DiscardAndDraw: When her Twice as Fancy mutation manifested, her tribal Earthpony magic became weaker, but she gained stronger powers relating to her Cutie Mark in exchange, such as [[LightEmUp light magic]].
* TheEmpath: After becoming a Cleric for Sola Mors, she gained the power of empathy and the ability to detect/inspire feelings of courage in others. It also allows her to comfort those who are afraid and alone, and [[LivingLieDetector detect ill feelings]], making her very hard to fool.
%%* FreudianExcuse: Deconstructed. [WIP]
* HarmfulToMinors: As a filly, she happened upon her mother as she was dying from Cutie Pox. Seeing her mother suffer in her last moments gave her deep-seated fears of death and Cutie Pox that would be left untreated until centuries later.
* TheImmune: Her Twice as Fancy mutation makes her completely immune to Cutie Pox, which is ironic since she lived centuries in fear of getting infected.
* {{Invisibility}}: She can make herself invisible with her light magic.
* LightEmUp: Her Cutie Mark -- a large, lone star shining brightly on a dark patch of fur in the middle of her flank -- gives her the ability to use light magic, and her [[{{Mutants}} Twice as Fancy mutation]] enhanced it far beyond what she could normally do. Being an aspiring actress, she focuses on the supportive aspects of light such as {{Invisibility}}, illusions, [[ThinkingUpPortals teleportation via light portals]], and [[BlindedByTheLight flashbangs]]. She also has used light magic on stage to substitute special effects like creating magical clouds of glittering light to enhance her appearances.
* TheMagnificent: Known as "the Dazzling Star" due to being an aspiring actress with talent in [[LightEmUp light magic]].
* MasterOfIllusion: She can cast illusions with her light magic.
* MortalityPhobia: [WIP]
* {{Mutants}}: She's a Twice as Fancy Pony; her mutation gives her weaker tribal magic (Earthpony magic in her case), but her magic relating to her Special Talent is much stronger than it would've been otherwise.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: She sees Grey Hoof and his followers as being little different from supremacy groups like Autorists and Tribalists, since they persecute innocent people for having traits they don't like.
* SuperSpeed: She was the fastest of the Sunnytown zombies, making her ideal for pursuing Ponies with Cutie Marks. She nearly came close to capturing Apple Bloom thanks to her speed, but fortunately Apple Bloom got away due to luck and [[BigDamnHeroes interference from Mitta and Ruby Heart]]. After her Twice as Fancy mutation activated, her speed became weaker. Becoming a Cleric of [[GodOfTheDead Sola Mors]] allowed her to make up for this by gaining divinely-enhanced speed and agility through Sola Mors' Performance domain.
* SuperStrength: As an Earthpony, she has enhanced strength. It got weaker when she manifested her Twice as Fancy mutation.
* SuperToughness: As an Earthpony, she has enhanced endurance. It got weaker when she manifested her Twice as Fancy mutation.
* ThinkingUpPortals: She can teleport by creating light portals for her to go through.
* UngratefulBastard: Deconstructed. Despite her crush, Roneo, receiving help from Ruby Heart in finding a lost ruby that he intended to give to her, they both immediately turned on Ruby Heart ''the moment'' she gained a Cutie Mark in finding things, and advocated for the filly's death. She would later regret this over the centuries after she and the Sunnytowners were cursed by Pakak, and when Mitta became the first to break free of Sunnytown's curse, Starlet eventually worked up the courage to redeem herself, accept Ruby Heart's Cutie Mark, and break free as well.

!!Sweet Apple Acres
[[folder:General]]
* BadassFamily: The Apple Family living in Sweet Apple Acres is one. Applejack V/Veritas was the previous Bearer of Honesty (until she gave her Element to Yona the Yak), and is now a demi-Alicorn goddess of Honesty, Truth, and Family living with the Terran Royal Family after she married Prince Clear Voice, [[PhysicalGod Emperor Golden Scepter]]'s sixth son. Big Macintosh is a descendant of Second-Age HenshinHero Perfect Kingdom/Robot Rider I. Apple Bloom is too young to be in heroics yet, but she's showing incredible talent and potential as a GadgeteerGenius, something that caught [[{{Technopath}} Prince Steel Barricade]]'s attention. Granny Smith, the Apple kids' grandmother, is a multi-centenarian who as a Gifted Pony is skilled in age-manipulation magic, as she looked fairly youthful up to the modern day. With Applejack V/Veritas' marriage to Prince Clear Voice, the Apple Family (and its entire clan as a whole) became related to Emperor Golden Scepter and his sons, which means they have divines and demi-divines in their family now. This also applies to the Terran Princes' adoptive children, who are powerful in their own ways and became cousins of the Apple kids; hilariously, this means that the Apple kids are cousins of Mercy, a ''giant sapient sword'' with PsychicPowers. Diamond Tiara lampshades this.

* AdaptationalBadass: He becomes the second Robot Rider, and thus unlike the canon version, becomes a superequine Kamen Rider-based hero.
* HenshinHero: He becomes Robot Rider II, and thus becomes able to transform into a powerful armored form.
* LegacyCharacter: He takes up his ancestor's, Perfect Kingdom/Robot Rider I, tech and becomes Robot Rider II.

The mother of Bright Mac, and the paternal grandmother of Big Macintosh, Princess Applejack V/Veritas, and Apple Bloom.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: Unlike her canon counterpart, she's a Gifted Earth Pony who is more powerful than even Principal Fissure Tectonic, himself another Gifted Earth Pony. Her powers allowed her to live long enough to become Ponyville's resident multi-centenarian.
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: She's seen as this by Principle Fissure Tectonic. While she's a Gifted Earth Pony like Fissure, she specializes in the life aspects of Earth Pony magic and was able to remain fairly youthful for several centuries because of it. Fissure admits he's not as good at it as she is despite boasting a similarly long lifespan.
* LongLived: Her advanced age in canon is due to being a Gifted Earth Pony, which grants her a greatly increased lifespan, making her a multi-centenarian. It's noted she's better at this than even Principal Fissure of the Grittish Isles, who is a Gifted Earth Pony himself.

\
Ruby Heart (her entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equestria-Heroes-and-Villains-3-789651737 here]]) is the biological younger sister of Mitta, the guardian of the Everfree Forest, and is a heroic and benevolent individual despite her horrific past.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: Downplayed. In ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'', she would teleport Apple Bloom to the safe edge of the Everfree Forest to make up for accidentally leading her into danger. Here, she was turned into a {{Psychopomp}} by the [[TheGrimReaper Three Deaths]] and became a "Confessor" who listens to people's sins and helps them earn repentance, with a few additional abilities like {{Intangibility}} and the ability to [[DetectEvil see people's sins in the form of bound chains]]. However, she doesn't have much in the way of combat due to being a ghostly filly, making her weaker compared to Mitta, who became a powerful Guardian of the Everfree Forest in the Codexverse.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: She was burned alive by Grey Hoof and his followers ''in her family's own fireplace''. What made her death even more cruel and senseless was her young age and the fact that she earned her Cutie Mark [[NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished by helping a neighbor woo a mare he liked]]. Her death would lead to a ''furious'' Pakak cursing Sunnytown in retaliation, turning the place into an overgrown wasteland filled with zombies that will stay that way until the culprits (and their condoners) learn to take responsibility for their crimes and redeem themselves.
* DetectEvil: Ruby has what she calls her "Chain Sight", which allows her to see a person's sins in the form of chains bound by steel locks. The number of chains and locks on a person is equal to the number of sins they have committed in life and the depths they go in denying those sins. This allows her to identify how to help people in redeeming themselves and letting go of their sins. Unfortunately, morally puristic and hard-lined people such as Poena have desired to use her Chain Sight and have been targeting Ruby so they could use her to "condemn" certain individuals.
* EasilyForgiven: What Ruby's detractors ''assume'' she's doing to criminals and sinners. It's deconstructed in that They see Ruby as a naive and extremely idealistic foal who's wasting her time and effort on people who (supposedly) don't deserve being forgiven, so they want her to let them suffer for their crimes. Poena and other morally hard-lined individuals have been attempting to sway her to their more ruthless and puristic side of Justice, but fortunately Ruby has friends who are far more merciful and willing to protect her. Ruby also forgave Grey Hoof, yet she also gave up on redeeming him because, as she later admitted to Midnight Bell and Crystal Prism, she recognized how deep his insanity had gone.
* FlamingHair: After she was "promoted" to a Confessor by the Three Deaths, Ruby gained a flaming mane and tail.
* FriendlyGhost: She's the ghost of a murdered filly, yet she's ''incredibly'' nice. As a Confessor, she helps people redeem themselves by teaching them how to accept and let go of their sins.
* InterspeciesFriendship: She's the ghost of an Earth pony filly who was murdered. After emerging in the Equestrian public eye, she would befriend Crystal Prism, who is noted in her entry to have become a [[CoolBigSis surrogate older brother]] for her.
* KarmicJackpot: Despite the horrific experiences she went through, she forgave her neighbors for killing her as well as her family for not protecting her (they were persuaded and threatened into [[BystanderSyndrome standing by and watching]]). As a result, she was "promoted" by being turned into a psychopomp, got her family and a few of her remorseful neighbors to redeem themselves, and earned quite a few friends in both mortals and divines who are all willing to protect her from more hard-lined individuals like Poena.
* KillItWithFire: How she died; her own neighbors murdered her for getting a Cutie Mark by burning her alive in her family's fireplace. When Mitta and her parents tried saving Ruby Heart from this fate, they were shortly given a not-so-subtle threat involving this by their fanatical neighbors, explaining their [[BystanderSyndrome inaction]] afterwards. Ruby Heart's charred skeleton would be found by a then-blank Apple Bloom centuries later, prompting a harrowing chase by Grey Hoof and his followers, but also motivating Mitta to [[BigDamnHeroes directly intervene]] when she heard Apple Bloom's cries for help.
* KillTheCutie: A young filly who was burned to death for earning a Cutie Mark by helping out her neighbor.
* TheMagnificent: Known as "The Confessor" since her role is to literally listen to people confessing their sins. Or, alternatively, "The Redeemer", since her goal is to redeem repentant criminals and other lowlifes so they can have a happy ending.
* MercyKill: How Grey Hoof and those Sunnytowners who followed him saw her death as, since in their eyes, earning a Cutie Mark meant that Ruby Heart was "infected" with Cutie Pox. However, they didn't bother to check if Ruby Heart was ''actually'' infected before they burned her alive, making their act [[CruelAndUnusualDeath a very cruel and senseless one]]. This would earn them the wrath of Pakak, who cursed everyone into becoming zombies until they redeemed themselves for their crimes.
* MindOverMatter: As a ghost, she has "spiritual" telekinesis, though it's noted to be rather weak.
* MurderIntoMalevolence: Subverted. Despite experiencing a horrible death at the hooves of her own neighbors for earning a Cutie Mark, she couldn't bring herself to hate her killers, since some of them actually started regretting doing it. She also understands why her family [[BystanderSyndrome stood by and did nothing to protect her]]. Her desire to help them achieve redemption for their sins was what led to her becoming a Confessor.
* MustMakeAmends: She felt guilty for leading Apple Bloom into Sunnytown and nearly getting the filly killed by her zombified neighbors, so she made up for it by teleporting Apple Bloom to the edge of the Everfree forest where she would be found by Twilight.
* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: When she was alive, she helped Roneo, one of her neighbors, woo his crush Starlet by finding a ruby that would make the perfect love gift. However, this gave her a Cutie Mark, causing her Cutie Pox-phobic neighbors ([[UngratefulBastard including Roneo and Starlet]]) to kill her by burning her alive in her own fireplace. While Grey Hoof and his more fanatical followers don't regret it, others like Roneo and Starlet did once they realized the horror of what they've done.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: She notes to Crystal Prism and Grey Hoof that Poena reminded her of Grey Hoof, as they are both murderously fanatic individuals. Apparently hearing this enraged Poena into attacking Ruby, but Crystal Prism and Princess Twilight Sparkle to protect her.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: She's the ghost of a murdered young filly who is chronologically hundreds of years old, due to having died way before the present day. This also applies to her older sister, Mitta, and the rest of the Sunnytowners, who were made immortal by Pakak's zombification curse.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: She is Mitta's younger sister. In the game, their relationship is only implied.
* {{Teleportation}}: Has "spiritual" teleportation powers, which are more powerful than her [[MindOverMatter telekinesis]]. How it works is she creates balls of light that teleport people who touch them to save places. This proved handy in helping Apple Bloom escape the zombified residents of Sunnytown.
* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: Despite being a ghostly filly with a flaming mane and tail, she barely attracts any attention while in Ponyville with Midnight Bell and Crystal Prism. Justified; Ponyville's infamous for being a DoomMagnet, so compared to what the locals have seen, Ruby Heart to them is just another newcomer in town.
* WouldHurtAChild: Was on the receiving end of this both in life and after death.
** Her Cutie Pox-phobic neighbors decided that she was "infected" when she got her Cutie Mark for helping Roneo, without bothering to check if she was actually infected, and saw it fit to murder her by burning her alive in her family's own fireplace. This is what got Sunnytown's people turned into zombies; Pakak witnessed the whole thing and was so ''enraged'' that he cursed them for their crimes.
** Poena also tried attacking her when she refused to side with her or let the divine Tulpa use her Chain Sight ability. Fortunately, Crystal Prism and Princess Twilight Sparkle were there to protect Ruby.

Mitta (her entry [[https://www.deviantart.com/brutalityinc/art/Codex-Equestria-Heroes-and-Villains-13-813586237 here]]) is the current guardian of Equestria's Everfree Forest, and the biological older sister of Ruby Heart.
----
* AccompliceByInaction: Apple Bloom being threatened by the zombified Sunnytowners forced her to realize that even though she, too, is a victim of Grey Hoof's psychological manipulation and abuse, she still allowed him to commit his atrocities by constantly wallowing in grief and self-pity. She then decided to put an end to this by saving Apple Bloom and directly opposing Grey Hoof and his followers for real.
* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: In the Codexverse, Mitta's guilt over failing to protect Ruby Heart is made much more apparent. She was also psychologically abused by Grey Hoof and his followers for centuries and because of that, she was deeply traumatized and thus needed divine help therapeutic deities like Amour-De-Soi in recovering from it. She's also prone to HeroicSelfDeprecation and has doubted herself in whether she's capable of fending off Grey Hoof and his followers long after she broke free from Pakak's curse.
* AdaptationalBackstoryChange: In the Codexverse, Mitta is [[RelatedInTheAdaptation Ruby Heart's older biological sister]] and one of the lucky Sunnytowners who survived the Cutie Pox plague with their entire family intact. When Ruby Heart gained a Cutie Mark, she was burned in her own family's fireplace, with Mitta and her parents being convinced by Grey Hoof to stand by and let it happen. A disguised Pakak cursed Sunnytown in retaliation, and afterwards Mitta would essentially become Sunnytown's scapegoat, psychologically abused and imprisoned by her zombified neighbors to keep her from interfering while they hunted down innocent Ponies who wandered into Everfree. Then Apple Bloom came...
* AdaptationalBadass: In ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks'', she [[BigDamnHeroes suddenly intervenes]] while Apple Bloom is fleeing the overgrown ruins of Sunnytown, [[YouShallNotPass holding off the zombies trying to get at the filly by herself]]. Here in the Codexverse, after ''centuries'' of enduring psychological abuse from Grey Hoof and his followers, she would finally gather the strength to break herself out of the building she was imprisoned in as soon as she heard Apple Bloom's cries for help. And when she confronted Grey Hoof himself, she would reveal her hidden strengths for the first time by unleashing her plant magic and hordes of timberwolves onto the villainous Sunnytowners, further hampering their efforts to "protect" Apple Bloom. She would proceed to become a divine champion, thanks to Celestia and Luna empowering her as a reward from Pakak for breaking free of his curse and redeeming herself, and as Guardian of the Everfree Forest, she is an experienced and powerful fighter in her own right.
* AdaptationalSkill: In the Codexverse, she's a capable warrior trained in weaponry like swords and bladed polearms, and is an experienced archer with a sharp eye. Her experiences in fighting Grey Hoof and his followers very good in environmental and behavioral observance, allowing her to spot signs of manipulative, fanatical, and insidious behavior. She had none of these skills in ''VideoGame/StoryOfTheBlanks''.
* AnimalMotifs: She's strongly associated with wolves, which symbolize guardianship, freedom, loyalty, and intelligence/instincts, but also danger and lack of trust. She endured lots of hardships, including the Cutie Pox plague, losing her younger sister to a lynch mob over getting a Cutie Mark, and being abused by her zombified neighbors for centuries. She eventually stands up to the Sunnytowners to protect Apple Bloom, leading to her breaking free of Pakak's curse, and gets appointed by Celestia and Luna as Guardian of Everfree as a reward for her heroics. But in spite of all her accomplishments, she's still suffering from centuries worth of trauma, which she's seeing Amour-De-Soi and Mentálne for. And while she was fairly intuitive in the past, her horrific experiences sharpened her instincts, allowing her to spot signs of fanatical and manipulative behavior.
* ArchEnemy: She sees Grey Hoof and his "Cutie Pox cult" (as she calls his followers) as personal enemies of hers. It's justified as Grey Hoof killed her younger sister, Ruby Heart, for completely baseless reasons, and his followers proceeded to psychologically torment and abuse her because they saw her as a "loose end" who sided with an "infected" filly. She would finally find the courage to stand up to her tormentors when Apple Bloom was endangered by Grey Hoof and his followers, declaring that [[HeroicVow she will never let them prey on another innocent foal or pony again]]. She has since followed up on her promise after she broke free from her curse and was made a divine champion by Celestia and Luna, opposing Grey Hoof at every turn and saving people from him, though she still has moments of self-deprecation and doubt thanks to her psychological scars. Fortunately, Amour-De-Soi and Mentálne have been helping her recover from her trauma and bolster her self-confidence.
* BadassCape: After becoming a Guardian of Everfree, she started wearing a green-brown traveling cloak with silver armor. Since breaking free of both Pakak's curse and the psychological abuse that Grey Hoof and his followers used to keep her in line, she has become a warrior and protector who protects the innocent from Everfree's dangers.
* TheBeastmaster: She has the power to telepathically control timberwolves. Because timberwolves are classified InUniverse as "planimals", which can be affected by [[GreenThumb plant magic]], she is able to extend her telepathic will to them and coordinate large packs of them, though she is also able to calm them should they go berserk at anytime. When Prince Fanged Paw heard of her skills and personally visited her, Mitta impressed him by showing the Terran demigod her own army of timberwolves. They shared a friendly "[[HandshakeSubstitute hoof-bump]]" afterwards.
* BigBrotherInstinct:
** Subverted with Ruby Heart, her younger sister. Mitta initially wanted to protect Ruby Heart from being ostracized and killed by Grey Hoof and his followers. But she and her parents were successfully talked into letting it happen with the justification that Ruby's Cutie Mark warranted a MercyKill to prevent her from endangering herself and others... along with the not-so-subtle threat that they'll join Ruby if they continue protesting. Mitta's inaction was what got her cursed by Pakak, and she spent centuries wallowing in depression and guilt over her failure, to the point where she let Grey Hoof and his followers psychologically abuse her on the reasoning that she deserved it.
** She eventually made up for it by protecting Apple Bloom from receiving Ruby's fate, pulling a YouShallNotPass on her fanatic neighbors that gave Apple Bloom more time and room to run. Ruby apparently squee'd and hugged Mitta for her actions.
* CombatTentacles: As part of her [[GreenThumb plant magic]], she can summon thorny (and non-thorny) vines to attack people. She used this to protect Apple Bloom from Grey Hoof and his followers, and she would do the same thing to protect a magical simulation of Ruby Heart when Pakak's curse repeated itself.
* CursedWithAwesome: Being a zombie granted her immortality and removed the need to eat, sleep, breathe, or drink, allowing her to oppose Grey Hoof's forces unburdened. Then she lost that immortality after she redeemed herself and broke free from Pakak's curse, and with that loss came the biological requirements that burdened every mortal. Her entry notes that she used to worry about her own physical shortcomings a lot since then, as every moment she falters is a victory for Grey Hoof in her eyes, but both Amour-De-Soi and Mentálne have assured her that every life she saved still means a lot to the world.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Mitta lived through a bout of Cutie Pox that devastated Sunnytown, though she was lucky to have her entire family intact. Then her younger sister, Ruby Heart, was burned to death for earning her Cutie Mark; while Mitta and her parents initially tried defending her, Grey Hoof convinced them it was for the best, while not-so-subtly threating them that they'll join Ruby if they continue protesting. When Pakak cursed Sunnytown for its horrible crime, Mitta turned into a zombie for her inaction, and for centuries she lived as a scapegoat for her neighbors, who psychologically abused her and kept her imprisoned so she wouldn't interfere while they hunted down Ponies with Cutie Marks. Meeting Apple Bloom finally spurred Mitta to oppose Grey Hoof, breaking free of Pakak's curse, but because of her experiences, she was deeply traumatized and needed help in recovering from it.
* FailureToSaveMurder: She and her parents were unable to save Ruby from burning alive in their own fireplace for earning a Cutie Mark because Grey Hoof successfully persuaded them to let her die for the good of Sunnytown. This traumatized Mitta so much that she would fall into a deep depression and blame herself for her sister's death, to the point where she allowed her villainous neighbors to psychologically abuse her and imprison her in an empty building every year on the day when Pakak's curse allowed them to reenact their fateful party. When Apple Bloom was endangered and nearly killed by Grey Hoof and his followers centuries later, Mitta finally snapped out of her depression and proceeded to directly intervene by standing up to her tormentors, and unleashing hordes of plants and timberwolves upon them.
* GentleGiant: Her entry notes that after she was empowered by [[PhysicalGod Celestia and Luna]], she became a head shorter than Big Macintosh, who himself is large even by Earth pony standards. She's a friendly and benevolent mare who's [[FriendToAllChildren very fond of foals]], but is now sterner than she was pre-Curse because of her new responsibilities as a Guardian of the Everfree Forest.
* GreenThumb: She has an affinity for plant magic, but didn't use it much because of Sunnytown's anti-Cutie Mark sentiments, until she finally gathered the courage to oppose Grey Hoof and his followers and break free from Pakak's curse. She initially had the standard powers of plant magic, such as accelerated plant growth, [[CombatTentacles summoning thorny (and non-thorny) vines]] to attack, and plant restoration, but she [[TookALevelInBadass would later develop new techniques in her quest to fight Grey Hoof]]. Some of said techniques include [[{{Telepathy}} plant telepathy]], which allows her to communicate with plants and learn the whereabouts of her enemies, reshaping wood and sprouting battering logs from them, and using her own large magic reserves to heal and enhance plants to make them stronger, echoing her own increasing resolve to protect people. The strongest she has ever gotten was [[WhenTreesAttack bringing a few trees to life and allowing them to wreak havoc on large crowds of enemies]], though this tends to exhaust her as she is essentially giving them sapience. Her plant magic also allows her to [[TheBeastmaster take control of timberwolves]] because they are classified InUniverse as sapient canine "planimals", so thus they fall under her sphere of influence.
* HandshakeSubstitute: Of the "Fist Bump" variant. When Prince Fanged Paw heard of her ability to [[TheBeastmaster tame and control timberwolves]], he would personally travel to the Everfree Forest to see for himself, as he has similar animal-related abilities himself. Mitta proceeded to impress the demi-Alicorn Prince by showing him her army of timberwolves, and they shared a friendly "hoof-bump" afterwards.
* HealingPotion: She carries a bag of these with her at all times because she doesn't know how to heal herself magically yet. All of her healing potions were made by her friend, Zecora, who is a skilled alchemist, medicine-mare, and potion-maker.
* HeroicVow: She would make an epic one while [[YouShallNotPass preventing Grey Hoof and his followers from going after Apple Bloom]], despite the latter two threatening her to move aside.
--> '''Mitta:''' You can threaten me all you want, but I've made my choice! I will make sure that you will never lay your dirty hooves on another innocent foal or pony ever again!
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: While devoted to protecting Ponies from Grey Hoof, centuries of psychological abuse left her prone to self-deprecation and doubt in regards to whether she's capable of opposing him in her current state, especially now that she's free of Pakak's curse.
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Downplayed; she always suspected that there was something "off" about Grey Hoof, but his fun-loving and charismatic personality made it so that she would always dismiss her suspicions as just her being paranoid. Grey Hoof forming a lynch mob against Ruby Heart and burning to death in her family's own fireplace served as a ''brutal'' wake-up call for what Mitta had been ignoring, so much that after Sunnytown is cursed by Pakak for their crimes, she fell into a centuries-long depression and blame herself for her own failings, which isn't helped by the psychological abuse she would receive from Grey Hoof and his followers. She would eventually learn how to forgive herself and break free of Pakak's curse by saving Apple Bloom and protecting the illusionary version of Ruby Heart generated by Pakak's curse from the crazed Sunnytowners, and after becoming a Guardian of Everfree, she would used her sharpened instincts in recognizing insidious, manipulative, and fanatical behavior, allowing her to oppose Grey Hoof and his followers.
* InterclassFriendship: After breaking free from Pakak's curse and becoming the Guardian of the Everfree Forest, she struck unlikely friendships with Clear Voice and his younger brother, Steel Barricade, who are both demi-Alicorn Princes of the Terran Empire.
* InterspeciesFriendship:
** Zecora is a Zebra mare who is noted to be a constant companion, and has worked with her several times in protecting people from the dangers of the Everfree Forest, especially during Nightmare Night where children are very likely to wander there. Zecora is also her supplier in healing potions.
** She also befriended Prince Clear Heart and his younger brother, Prince Steel Barricade, who are both Alicorn demigods from the Terran Empire.
* IShouldHaveBeenBetter: Despite her victories against Grey Hoof and the number of people she had saved since breaking free from Pakak's curse, she would worry about her physical shortcomings and doubt herself whenever she thinks she has failed in her duty as Guardian of the Everfree Forest. In her eyes, every moment where she falters is a victory for Grey Hoof. Both Amour-De-Soi and Mentálne would assure her that every life she saved still means a lot to the world.
* ItsAllMyFault: She blamed herself for not protecting Ruby from her Cutie Pox-phobic neighbors when her sister needed it most, to the point where she sank into deep depression and guilt.
* KarmaHoudini: Some of the divine/mortal Poenans see her as one, since to them, she's connected to Grey Hoof and yet received no punishment for her own crimes. This is what motivated a group of Poenan divines to pursue her in one incident so they could ruthlessly punish her, [[CurbStompBattle only to be utterly thrashed by Steel Barricade and Amour-De-Soi]]. Amour-De-Soi would later encourage Mitta to prove the Poenan pantheon and morally puristic individuals like them wrong by continuing to do good and maintaining the strength of her moral character, thus exposing her detractors as the pathetic people they really are.
* {{Lunacy}}: Luna's blessings allow her to draw energy from the phases of the moon and use it to empower her own physical capabilities. Naturally, the full moon phase is when she is strongest.
* TheMagnificent: Known as "the Light of Everfree", due to a Guardian who helps lost people find their way out of the Everfree Forest with her divinely-blessed [[LightEmUp light magic]], as well as protecting them from the dangers that lurk within Everfree, such as Grey Hoof and his zombified followers.
* MentorArchetype: It's rumored InUniverse that Midnight Bell, a Grittish Earth pony filly, was seen with her, likely learning how to use her own plant magic more effectively. Further implication was Midnight's participation in the "Battle of Hornbridge" conflict later on, where she successfully drove away both the Scions of Hurricane and the Children of Platinum from her hometown.
* MoralityPet: Justified. Despite not being a genius herself, Mitta was able to bring out a softer side in [[TheStoic Steel Barricade]] because they both had experiences with psychological abuse, and had been traumatized and broken by horrific past experiences. This is what motivated Steel Barricade to teach her how to fortify herself against abuse and trauma in general.
* TheNeedless: Becoming an immortal zombie meant that she didn't need to eat, sleep, or breathe, which allowed her to oppose Grey Hoof and his followers unhindered. But after redeeming herself and breaking free of Pakak's curse, she turned back into a normal Pony mare. Being deprived of her zombification's perks caused her to believe she'll fail to protect more innocents from Grey Hoof without them, but Amour-De-Soi and Mentálne would [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre assure her that every life she saved still means a lot to the world]].
* NotAfraidOfYouAnymore: After witnessing her younger sister's murder and enduring centuries' worth of psychological abuse from Grey Hoof and his followers, she finally gathers the courage to stand up to her tormentors in order to save a then-blank Apple Bloom, resulting in her unleashing her long-suppressed talent with plant magic onto the villainous Sunnytowners. She opposed Grey Hoof ever since, even after she redeemed herself for her own sins and broke free of Pakak's curse.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: In an incident where the [[KnightTemplar Poenan Pantheon]] tried (and failed) to attack her for being connected to Grey Hoof, she realizes they're really no different from Grey Hoof and his followers after seeing the same fanatical madness in their eyes.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: Her being a zombie was the result of a curse inflicted upon her by [[TricksterGod Pakak]], who punished Sunnytown for Ruby Heart's murder by making the residents' appearances as grotesque as their actions. As a zombie, she's granted immortality, and is [[TheNeedless unburdened by the need to eat, sleep, or breathe]]. Breaking free of Pakak's curse restored her back to normal in her prime, though all those centuries of living as a zombie made her incredibly LongLived.
* PalsWithJesus: She would find unlikely friends in the Terran demi-Alicorn Princes, Prince Clear Voice and his younger brother, Prince Steel Barricade, who would both teach her how to fortify herself against psychological abuse and trauma. She would also receive psychiatric help from Amour-De-Soi, the Alicorn goddess of Self-Love/Esteem, and Mentálne, the young Bogolenya Deer goddess of Mental Healing. It's justified; given how it's rumored that Canteros, Amareros' firstborn son and the god of Requited Love and Reconciliation, is famous for helping people "earn their happy endings" and has helped the troubled Three Leaf get the attention she needed, it's not a bit of a stretch to assume that he did the same for Mitta by finding people who are best suited for helping her.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Like the rest of the Sunnytowners, she's chronologically hundreds of years old, due to Pakak's curse turning them into immortal zombies until they atone for their sins. Breaking free of the curse restored her to her old pre-Curse self as a young Earth pony mare, and after Celestia and Luna divinely empowered her, she's looking to live even ''longer''.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: She is Ruby Heart's older biological sister. In the game, their relationship is only implied.
* ASharedSuffering: A large reason why she was able to befriend Prince Clear Voice and his younger brother, Prince Steel Barricade, is because they have also experienced psychological abuse like her, both on the giving and receiving ends. Steel Barricade also empathizes with Mitta because like her, he had been traumatized and broken by terrible experiences in the past, and is noted to have shown a softer side around her despite his [[TheStoic stoicism]]. Both Terran Princes have been teaching her how to fortify herself against psychological abuse in general.
* SoProudOfYou: She was noted to be rather proud of Ruby Heart for gaining the Three Deaths' attention and turning into a {{Psychopomp}} "Confessor" afterwards, remarking that her younger sister is "a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for".
* SympathyForTheDevil: How she feels towards Three Leaf. Despite Three Leaf choosing to do horrible things, such as participating in Ruby Heart's murder and hunting down Ponies with Cutie Marks, much of her behavior was influenced by Grey Hoof. This is why Mitta doesn't hold much of a grudge towards her as she does with Grey Hoof, and why she was willing to help Three Leaf redeem herself and recover emotionally despite everything.
--> '''Mitta:''' ''(about Three Leaf)'' You'd think that, with a background in healing, she'd be a little smarter than that. That she would've known a single Cutie Mark appearing on our flanks instead of many is not a sign of someone being sick... But that's love for you. Like almost every mare back home before the curse, Three Leaf loved Grey Hoof with all her heart, and in the end her love and kindness doomed her. Yes, she did a lot of horrible things, such as participating in the murder of my sister and the shaming of my surviving family... but then again, Grey Hoof had left his mark on all of us. If he hadn't met her, all those centuries of heartbreak, death, and dysfunction could've been avoided. And because of that, I feel sorry for Three Leaf more than I hate her.
* {{Telepathy}}: She has plant-based telepathy, allowing her to communicate with plants and learn the whereabouts of her enemies through them. This ability is what also allows her to [[TheBeastmaster control and calm timberwolves]], as they are categorized InUniverse as "planimals".
* WhenTreesAttack: She can invoke this as part of her [[GreenThumb plant magic]] by bringing trees to life and letting them attack her enemies, though this tends to exhaust her as she's essentially giving them sapience.
