[[folder:The Legends as a Whole]]
* {{The Ace}}s: Most of the legends were aces in their respective professions before they joined the Apex Games. For example, Bangalore always topped her classes at the military academy, Caustic was a top scientist at the Frontier's leading pesticide manufacturer, Octane had a large amount of fans for his stunts, etc.
* {{Action Girl}}s: Given the bloodsport nature of the Apex Games, any woman who can survive the experience is this.
** DarkActionGirl: Since the Apex Games’s only entry criteria is being able to keep up with the other legends, some of the women are criminals and/or serve in unsavory jobs during their downtime.
* ADayInTheLimelight:
** Most Legends receive the spotlight during the season of their debut. After the initial launch, this is typically in the format of the Stories from the Outlands immediately preceding their season showing off some of their backstory and lore, while the season launch trailer often displays how they fight in the game. Some notable examples:
*** The Season 2 launch trailer puts the focus on Octane (who didn't receive his own spotlight when he was added in Season 1) and Wattson (the new character added in Season 2).
*** Season 4's Stories from the Outlands teaser was a BaitAndSwitch primarily focusing on Forge, only for him to be murdered by Revenant. Its launch trailer wholly focuses on Revenant, showing his backstory while also displaying some of his abilities (like climbing and his shadow form).
*** Season 9 has Valkyrie hold center stage, but also shows Ash off quite a lot for her return in the game as part of the permanent Arenas gamemode. She also has significant billing during Season 9's gameplay trailer, as she tutorializes how the Arenas work.
** Some of the Legends have also received some backstory and lore in the in-game stories and Stories from the Outlands trailers released outside the usual seasonal cadence:
*** Wraith is the focus of the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yU_eip8IvQU "Voidwalker"]] short.
*** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCXOnxM8sdY "The Old Ways"]] gives us a look at Bloodhound's origin story.
*** "The Broken Ghost" from Season 5 consisted of a series of brief story chapters, each told from the perspective of a different legend.
*** Season 6's "The First Ship" comic largely focused on Mirage, Rampart and Pathfinder.
*** Season 7's "Family Portrait" comic features Gibraltar, Lifeline and Octane.
*** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iT4C1aIS9Ww "Fight Night"]] focuses on Pathfinder.
*** In "The Legacy Antigen", Crypto, Caustic, Valkyrie and Loba were given most of the attention, with Bloodhound and Fuse also getting some action.
*** "Trouble in Paradise" focuses on the conflict between Horizon and a newly-reawakened Ash.
* {{Badass Bookworm}}s: Mirage, Wattson, and Rampart are engineers, Horizon and Caustic are scientists, and Crypto is a hacker, yet none of them have no problem keeping up with ex-soldiers (Bangalore), mercenaries (Fuse, Valkyrie), and hitmen (Revenant).
* BadassCrew: The legends are superstar contestants in the Apex Games - a bloodsport show where only the strongest and fittest survive.
--> '''Apex Games Tag Line''': “They kill you, they’re better. You kill them, you’re better.”
* {{Blood Knight}}s: Though they're not all violent under normal circumstances, it's clear all of them ''like'' to fight.
** Subverted with Revenant, an AxCrazy SerialKiller who entered the Apex Games to satisfy his craving for death and murdering people. He was enticed into the games by Hammond Robotics and the Syndicate to make sure he doesn’t target their employees/leaders instead.
** Also subverted with Loba. In the Season Five “Broken Ghost” storyline, her internal monologue revealed that she didn't enjoy the Apex Games and was in it only for the purpose of getting revenge on Revenant.
---> '''Loba''' (internal monologue): “I'm so close. Wattson has regained consciousness. She and Crypto have nearly finished assembling the artifact. Everything is going according to plan. In a day or two, I can wave goodbye to the Apex Games and get back to my life in the penthouse. This is truly my favorite place to be... on top.”
* CharacterClassSystem: Each Legend fits into one of five broad classes, each with a class-specific perk:
** Assault: The most innately offensive class, Assault Legends can use their abilities to damage enemies, restrict their movement, and enable their team to clean up what's left. Assault Legends can open special weapon bins littered throughout the map and can carry an extra stack of ammo per inventory slot.
** Skirmisher: Skirmishers revolve around mobility for both themselves and their teammates. Their abilities allow them to duck and weave through engages seamlessly and can help their team cross large distances quickly. Skirmisher Legends can detect care packages from further away, and they can scan for the most valuable drop within. If a care package weapon is within, they can track if it's been taken if they themselves have not.
** Controller: Controller Legends excel at setting up fortifications to hold a single point, protecting the occupants while giving swift death to anyone who tries to force their way through. Controller Legends can use Ring Consoles to reveal the next ring location, giving them a better idea of where to set up their defenses.
** Support: Support Legends are best suited to helping their team and protecting them from harm. They have a number of tools to protect their team from harm, safely revive them if downed, and help outfit them with better equipment. Support Legends can open extra shelves in blue supply bins, which will always contain healing and survival items.
** Recon: Recon Legends revolve around gathering information and scouting for enemies to either prepare for a push or determine if an area is safe to pass through. Their tools allow them to either reveal enemies directly or search areas from a safe distance. Recon Legends can scan survey beacons to reveal all enemies in the area around it.
* {{Code Name}}s: Most of the legends in the Apex Games has one of these. The exceptions are [[HisNameReallyIsBarkeep Gibraltar and Loba]], who are using their [[LastNameBasis real (last) name]] and real first name respectively, Pathfinder, who uses the only name he was ever given, and (debatably) Ash, who uses the name of only one of the personalities in her body.
* ColorCodedCharacters: Several of the legends have specific {{Color Motif}}s related to their personalities and abilities.
** Caustic, a chemist specialized in the use of toxic gas, is associated with [[SicklyGreenGlow sickly-looking green]].
** Fuse, an [[DemolitionsExpert explosives enthusiast]], is associated with a fiery orange.
** Mirage, the most laid-back legend, is associated with yellow.
** Loba, the thief with [[AnimalMotifs wolf motifs]], is associated with white and light grey, the most common fur colors of wolves.
** Pathfinder, the scout with a grappling hook that can zip him through air, is associated with sky blue.
** Revenant, the hatred-driven assassin, is associated with a [[RedIsViolent blood-like shade of red]].
** Wattson, the electrical engineer, is associated with an [[TechnicolorLightning electrifying blue]].
** Wraith, a legend whose abilities appear supernatural, is associated with purple.
* DiminishingReturnsForBalance: Each class of Legends has a world object they have a unique interaction with: getting extra weapon loot from Assault Supply Bins, scanning Care Packages, scanning enemies on Survey Beacons, seeing the next safe zone via Ring Consoles, and picking up more healing from Extended Supply Bins, for Assault, Skirmisher, Controller, Recon, and Support Legends respectively. This encourages using Legends of different classes together, for having multiple of one class means less optimal loot/information collection.
* FriendlyRivalry: Based on what has been shown in cinematics, there's little - if any - vitriol amongst most of the legends. They seem to regard each other more as rivals than anything. However, there are exceptions which have unfolded as the storyline advances...
** Loba harbors deep hatred towards Revenant, who murdered her parents. In fact, the legends in general (understandably) hate Revenant, who is a murderous sociopath, and were willing to work together during the Season Five “Broken Ghost” storyline in order to undermine his power and influence - especially in the Shadowfall Universe, a twisted alternate dimension where that universe’s Revenant has taken control of seemingly the entire Outlands, and runs his own bloodsport to amuse himself at the expense of the contestants.
** Caustic hates Crypto, though it’s unjustified in this case. [[spoiler: After Caustic was revealed to be the mole in the “Broken Ghost” storyline, he harbors extreme hatred towards Crypto since Caustic had hoped Crypto would take all the blame after being framed]].
** Bangalore seems to believe that Loba got her way into the games by seducing the higher-ups, and thus developed an instant dislike of her. However, this rivalry seems to have cooled off a bit after Bangalore discovered that [[spoiler: Revenant wants Loba to kill him. Since Bangalore dislikes Revenant even more, she’s not against the idea of leaving Loba alone for the time being while she finds Revenant’s [[WetwareCPU source code]] in order to finish him off for good. Voice lines during Season Six seem to confirm this, as the two women are more polite towards each other, and in Season Seven Bangalore shows genuine concern towards Loba when they arrive in the area where Revenant murdered her parents]].
* {{Leitmotif}}s: Starting from Season Two, each Legend has a corresponding Music Pack associated with their character.
* {{Meaningful Name}}s: Most of the legends have rather descriptive names. This is [[JustifiedTrope justified]], as the {{Code Name}}s they use are the stage names people give them based on their fighting styles.
** '''Bangalore''' is named after [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangalore_torpedo a type of explosive]], and she's a professional soldier who can call in a missile air strike during a fight.
** '''Bloodhound''' is a tracker.
** '''Caustic''', real name '''Nox''', is a chemical weapon expert.
** '''Crypto''' is a hacker who thrives on information manipulation.
** '''Forge''' was a brawler with a [[{{Cyborg}} mechanically augmented arm]].
** '''Fuse''' has a kit revolving around explosives.
** '''Gibraltar''', as in "[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_of_Gibraltar Rock of Gibraltar]]", is a giant of a man with defensive abilities.
** '''Horizon''', as in event horizon, the point at which not even light can escape a black hole, has a kit that manipulates gravity.
** '''Lifeline''' is a [[CombatMedic medic]].
** '''Loba''' (which means "female wolf" in Portuguese) is a thief.
** '''Mirage''' tricks people with holographic decoys.
** '''Octane''' fuels himself on stim to move at a high speed.
** '''Pathfinder''' is a scout.
** '''Rampart'''s are the defensive walls of a castle or walled city.
** '''Revenant''' is able to return from the dead.
** '''Seer''' is capable of perceiving nearby enemies when they move or attack.
** '''Valkyrie''' has the power of flight.
** '''Wattson''' has a kit which revolves around the usage of [[ShockAndAwe electricity]].
** '''Wraith''' can phase in and out of existence.
* MultinationalTeam: While none of them were born on Earth, most of them are clear analogues of real-life ethnicities, if not being directly linked to them. Some examples: Bangalore's civilian name suggests she's African-American, Seer descends from Igbo people, Valkyrie is mixed descent between a Caucasian father and a Japanese mother.
* OhCrap:
** Most of them react like this when fighting one squad only to get fired upon by a third party. Considering that even if you're fully kitted out with purple gear, you can still get blindsided by an ambush and torn apart, this can often mirror a player's reaction in real life. Especially if it comes right the hell out of nowhere, like say, getting sniped while you got a target pinned down.
---> '''Bangalore''': "Ambush, AMBUSH! There's another squad!!!"
** They also react similarly when struck by Revenant's "Silence" ability. As their entire kit outside of guns gets locked down, the sudden panic is very much justified, especially for Legends that are highly reliant on having them all the time like Lifeline or Gibraltar.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits:
** People who join the Apex Games tend not to be moral role models, and despite this have to work together during official matches. It goes to show that the Apex Games admin crew [[AbsenceOfEvidence found Crypto's faked spotless record to be incredibly suspicious]].
---> '''Apex Approval Report''': "Honestly, something feels off. He’s spotless – no warrants, no enemies, not even a truancy notice. Who stays that clean their whole life, then joins the Games? Put him in, but you should probably keep an eye on him."
** However, as shown in the Season Five “Broken Ghost” storyline, this trope is [[DeconstructedTrope brutally deconstructed]]. [[spoiler:While the legends were able to work together at first, it became apparent with the presence of [[TheMole a mole]] that not all of them believe in cooperation, and their willingness to work together fell apart when Crypto was suspected of being the traitor. And once Gibraltar revealed to the group (with the exception of Wattson, who wasn’t there) that Caustic was the traitor, all they wanted to do was get the mission over with so they could go back to their own lives. In short, a group of misfits who kill each other on a regular basis in a bloodsport will not have the best teamwork chemistry - especially if some of them had pre-existing enmity to begin with - and all it took was one rogue member to spiral their cooperative spirit into the ground]].
* ReportingNames: Many Legends have nicknames for enemies that they use for voice lines:
** "Skinsuit" or "skinbag" according to Revenant. He'll also call enemy Revenants, Pathfinders, and Ashes this term.
** "Joker", "clown", etc. for Fuse.
** Mad Maggie likes the name "eggs", and also has a humorous voice line if she pings actual spider eggs.
** "Numpty", "Bampot", and "Eejit"/"Idiot" by Horizon.
** Ash calls enemies "targets", reflecting how little she cares about the Legends and why she participates in the Games.
** Caustic refers to them as "test subjects", similarly referencing why he participates in the games.
** "Plonker", and in more urgent situations, "fool" and "baddie", by Rampart.
** Pathfinder calls enemies as such in his pings, but if an enemy squad third parties him then he'll worryingly exclaim that "more friends are coming to kill us".
** "Tango", "bogey", and "bandit" for Valkyrie, echoing her father's military speak.
* WeaponSpecialization: In addition to receiving unique (although purely cosmetic) melee weapons, some legends seem to have favorite firearms that they are frequently shown within trailers and in-game animations.
** Bangalore often carries a G7 assault rifle.
** Mirage is almost always pictured with a Wingman.
** Lifeline seems to like Alternators.
** Caustic can be seen multiple times with a Peacekeeper.
** Loba appears to favor the P2020.
** Fuse is frequently paired with a 30-30 Repeater. This is a nod to its status as the pride and joy of his home planet Salvo, where it was invented.
** Rampart loves LMG's to the point that her passive is the ability to increase their clip size while she handles them and her Ultimate is a unique LMG. Of the normal weapons, she's actually paired with the Flatline assault rifle most often: one is featured on her shop's neon sign and she kisses one in a banner pose. The Flatline does bridge the gap between the balanced [=ARs=] and the large magazines of the [=LMGs=], so there's some sense behind it.
** Maggie similarly has a weapon specific perk, as she runs faster while holding shotguns. Of them, she's most receptive to the Mastiff and has unique animations for picking one up.
** Gibraltar is also associated with shotguns, sporting the EVA-8 Auto in his model turn-around and several banner poses involving the Peacekeeper.
* TheWorfEffect: No matter how badass each legend is made out to be when they're first introduced, they're mowed down like CannonFodder whenever a new legend arrives and they're not on the same team as them in the corresponding season trailer.

[[folder:Fade]]
!Ignacio Huamaní -- Fade
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fadeportrait_5.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:[[PowerOfTheVoid Phase Punisher]]]]
-->''"Are you watching, bastardos? I'm coming for you."''
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/JoshKeaton (English)
Ignacio Huamaní was born into a family of mercenaries, who hunted out treasure for the highest bidder. Always stuck with lookout duty, he wanted to prove himself worthy in the family, so he accepted a deal on their behalf: find a lost prototype tech suit, made by the IMC. They soon learned it was a trap, and his family was killed in the fighting. But Ignacio escaped using the suit, taking him to another dimension, only able to return after his family was long dead. Knowing that his one-of-a-kind suit has a high price on it, he joins the Apex Games as Fade, hoping to draw out his target so that he can enact his revenge.
\
Fade is the game's first mobile-exclusive legend - a versatile attacker capable of repositioning quickly and removing himself and others from a fight temporarily. His tactical ability is ''[[TimeRewindMechanic Flashback]]'', allowing him to revert his position and shields to what they were up to 20 seconds prior. His passive ability is ''[[LeParkour Slipstream]]'', which gives Fade a brief movement speed buff at the end of a slide. ''[[WeaponizedTeleportation Phase Chamber]]'', Fade's ultimate, throws a grenade that sends anyone caught in the blast to the void for 4 seconds, where they cannot be harmed - but cannot harm others, either.

----
* DreadlockWarrior: While his hair is cut short under the helmet, the suit's headpiece comes with a number of thick wires and cables that evoke this appearance.
* {{Expy}}:
** Flashback can be clearly traced back to the Phase Rewind boost ability from ''Titanfall 2'', which has an identical effect of undoing the user's movement while phased.
** Motivated for revenge by the murder of his family, wears a skull with elongated teeth as a part of his getup, and his title being "Phase Punisher", he's a loose expy of, well, the ComicBook/{{Punisher}}.
* InterdimensionalTravelDevice: The IMC prototype suit Fade wears allows him to hop dimensions.
* ResetButton: Flashback is a short-term version of this, returning Fade to where he was 20 seconds earlier, and potentially undoing any damage inflicted to him in that timespan.
* SoleSurvivor: Fade and his family were caught in an ambush while recovering the IMC prototype suit. Fade only lived because he was wearing it. His family wasn't so lucky.
* VersionExclusiveContent: Fade was introduced as the first Apex Mobile-exclusive legend. There's no clear indication that he'll be added to the PC and console versions.
* WellDoneSonGuy: As the youngest of his family, Ignacio was always relegated to lookout duty. The job on which he discovered the IMC prototype suit was one that he'd sought out on his own in an attempt to prove himself to his father. Unfortunately, his haste to impress his family led to their deaths, as the job in question turned out to be a set-up.
* YouKilledMyFather: His motivation for entering the Apex Games - by showing off the one-of-a-kind IMC suit in such a high profile event, he hopes to draw the attention of the client who originally sent him after it, so that he can avenge his family.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Rhapsody]]
!Linh My Vo -- Rhapsody
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rhapsody_apex_legends__mobile_894x1024.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:Rhythm Slinger]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/XantheHuynh
Born to an AI engineer in Komma, on the planet Solace, Linh led an easygoing life as she aspired to become a DJ, a dream smothered when her mother discovered confidential information about Pythas Inc., got fired from her job, and was buried in false debt. Forced into the city's slums, Rhapsody's aspirations of musicmaking began to shine as she channelled the rebellious energy of the people there, until she earned an opportunity to perform for Komma's wealthy. When her attempt to sabotage their party went awry, she struck a deal with Pythas and enlisted into the Apex Games to represent them, aiming to earn enough to ditch Pythas and buy back her family's freedom.
\
Rhapsody is a song-slinging DJ that provides her team various utility abilities when they play near her. Her tactical ability, ''[[ThemeMusicPowerUp Hype Anthem]]'', speeds up allies near to her and restores their shields until they take damage, allowing them to move as one and push enemies when an advantage opens. Her passive is ''[[SuperHearing Gifted Ear]]'', which lets her notice sound visualizations from further away. Her ultimate ''[[InterfaceScrew Rowdy's Rave]]'' places down her RobotDog which creates a one-way wall of holographic light, highlighting enemies through the transparent side and blocking vision from the opaque side.
----
* BoxingBattler: Downplayed. She is implied to be a boxer in the trailers, but this is not shown in gameplay.
* BreakingOldTrends: The only support legend to not have loot-related abilities and also the only one not to have her title start with the letter L, although her name Linh starts with an L.
* CuteMachines: Her RobotDog Rowdy.
* LightIsGood: Downplayed trope as she also appears to be a PerkyGoth, Rhapsody has light motifs and all of her abilities cast a glow around affected legends or are a literal wall of light and Rhapsody is a friendly girl whose only goal in games is to help her family.
* MagicMusic: Her songs regenerate allies' shields and let them run faster.
* MusicalAssassin: Downplayed trope in gameplay as her abilities don't involve hurting opponents, her finishers on the other hand involve blasting opponents' heads with sound waves.
* SuperSenses: Gifted Ear gives her enhanced positional hearing.
[[/folder]]

! Non-Playable Characters
[[folder:Eduardo Silva ('''WARNING: UNMARKED SPOILERS''')]]
!!"Eduardo 'Duardo' Silva"/Torres Silva
Octane's father and the current CEO of Silva Pharmaceuticals... Or so the public believes. His true identity is Octane's ''grand''father Torres, who has used advanced pharmaceutical technology to greatly extend his lifespan and assume his son's identity.
----
* AbusiveParents: Neglects Octane whenever he isn't placing his lofty expectations on him as the heir to Silva Pharmaceuticals, something implied to feed his AttentionWhore tendencies and push him even further away.
* ArcVillain: Season 9's supplementary comics posted to Twitter reveal that he's behind the terrorist attack in Season 7 and the catastrophic Medusa vines in Season 9. And with Season 12, he's attempting to kickstart his political career by framing Mad Maggie for his wrongdoings.
* AssholeVictim: [[spoiler: No one but Octane is going to miss him after Revenant stabbed him through the heart and had his simulacrums tear him to shreds. And he deserved every moment of it.]]
* TheBadGuyWins: As of Season 12's ending, he's succeeded in assuming control of the Syndicate and has Octane wrapped around his finger as well.
* ConspicuousTrenchCoat: Combined with a fedora, staples of mid-1900s fashion that seem to imply he's old-fashioned (or, at least, old). Perhaps the form-obscuring garb is meant to hide his real identity, as the real Duardo died years ago. The one we see is ''his'' father Torres using his political power to take over the Syndicate.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: The leader of a large pharmaceutical company, and one of the less pleasant [=NPCs=] of the cast.
* CorruptPolitician: He's looking to be more than just the CEO of a pharmaceuticals company, and he doesn't care what he has to do to get there.
* DeadPersonImpersonation: The real Duardo died for unexplained reasons years ago, with Octane's grandfather Torres assuming his identity instead.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Murderous, scheming politician he may be, his dialogue when revealing his true identity to Octane shows that he loved his Duardo and was greatly affected by the fact that his medicine could not save him.
* EvilIsNotAToy: Duardo ended up making a fatal mistake in thinking he could control Revenant.
* FourEyesZeroSoul: Wears a pair of emerald-tinted, small-lensed glasses, contrasting against Octane's radioactive green and bulky goggles.
* GracefulLoser: He's downright ''proud'' that Octane was able to uncover Duardo's death certificate, and gives him the whole story behind his father's death without stringing him along or buttering him up.
* HateSink: On top of being an {{Abusive Parent|s}} to Octane, he's also orchestrated numerous terrorist attacks to make the Syndicate look bad just so he can take over, making him an easy character to despise.
* HiddenEyes: They're almost always obscured by the lenses of a pair of green spectacles. In Season 9's supplementary comic, he has a FaceFramedInShadow instead.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He's killed by his own army of Revenants that the real Revenant took control of from him.
* IAmNotYourFather: PlayedWith: the real identity of Duardo isn't actually Octane's father, but instead his grandfather.
* KilledOffForReal: Revenant ''literally'' stabs in the back, then his copies rip him apart off-screen.
* LaserGuidedKarma: After spending so long controlling Revenant, the latter repays him in the most cathartic manner.
* OlderThanTheyLook: He has his own stims that make him look his son's age, despite claiming that he's almost a century old at this point.
* TheSociopath: He has no problem getting people killed to further his political career, and views Octane as merely a means to carry on his legacy as well.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: He's beloved enough by the public that he has many supporters in his bid to overthrow the Syndicate council and claim sole leadership over the galaxy. The Legends, however, know what a sociopathic scumbag he truly is.
* WalkingSpoiler: His entire folder had to be marked with a spoiler warning because otherwise it'd be impossible to hide his true identity.
* WhamLine: When Octane confronts him about impersonating Duardo, he doesn't bother denying anything and gives Octane the whole truth.
-->''"Who am I, my boy? You can call me... [[GruesomeGrandparent Abuelo]].'"''
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Forge]]
!!James [=McCormick=] -- Forge
A five-time Hyperfighting Federation champion that was originally slated to join the Apex Games in Season 4, only to be assassinated by Revenant due to his connection to Hammond Robotics.
----
* AssholeVictim: Promotional material built him up as a bit of a cocky showboater, alongside Bangalore revealing that the guy sexually harassed her a few years prior to the Games. This of course was done so not many people would feel bad when Revenant murdered him. In one of her voice lines, Bangalore almost ''thanks'' Revenant for killing him.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Revenant stabs him through the back.
* KilledOffForReal: The only way he could feasibly come back is as a simulacrum, and since Hammond generally only does that to people like Cross or Reid who are too valuable to let die, this is an unlikely scenario.
* TemptingFate: He drops several lines that allude to how Revenant would eventually kill him.
--> ''[talking about Pathfinder]'' "You think I'm going to let two tons of nuts and bolts get the jump on me? Let me tell you something. It'll be a cold day on Talos before some robot gets the better of a [=McCormick=]."\
"Oh it's been a wild ride to get here but Hammond Robotics has '''had my back''' the entire way. I am blessed to have such great support '''behind me'''."\
"Look, the Legends are great and they deserve respect, but they've never faced anyone like me. And when we hit the ground, I dare any of them to bring the fight '''up close and personal'''.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Just a few days after being officially "revealed" to the public, Revenant kills him.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Mystik]]
!!Katerina Ticacek Nox
Mother of Caustic, head of Ticacek Orphanage, and the foster mother of Crypto and Mila Alexander.
----
* GallowsHumor: During one animated video, she sees her powerless heart monitor and very casually informs Wattson that it seems that her heart has stopped.
* GoodParents:
** Raised Caustic as best as she can, attempting to fill his life with love -- though it wasn't enough for his MadScientist path to be put off.
** As the foster parent of a street-wandering child Crypto, she also applies as this to him as well; a framed photograph of them and Alexander Mila is one of his dearest possessions, enough to bother taking with him when he hears the Syndicate knocking at his door.
* ParentsKnowTheirChildren: Instantly identifies Caustic once she sees him in the Apex Games for the first time. Although, knowing what he looked like prior, it's more like seeing through a PaperThinDisguise; [[https://twitter.com/i/status/1411040728680181764 she calls it the "worst disguise [she's] ever seen" and that "he's not even trying".]]
[[/folder]]

!!Newcastle
The original Newcastle, who's been trying to get into the games for several seasons. In Season 13, he finally succeeds... Or so it seems. It turns out that Newcastle put himself in debt with the Forgotten Families to fund his equipment, with the town of Harris Valley up as collateral. His numerous failures to get into the games eventually exhausted the patience of his debt collectors, who proceed to murder him and push his debt onto one Lamont Craig.

* FakeUltimateHero: On the surface, Newcastle was the hero of Harris Valley, fighting for their freedom even if he never quite had what it took to get into the Apex Games. Underneath that, Newcastle sold the town out to fund his suit, [[NeverMyFault blames his teammates for his repeated failures]], and [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking charges exorbitant prices for his merchandise]].
* AHeroToHisHometown: Newcastle had great reception in Harris Valley for his attempts to get into the Apex Games to the point of having in-universe merch of him sold alongside the actual Legends, despite never actually passing the qualifiers for the longest time.
* HighHopesZeroTalent: Despite it being his dream to compete on the intergalactic stage in the Apex Games, he just didn't have what it took to compete on the same level as the real Legends. It was up to Jackson, who had actual military training and experience, to do the name Newcastle justice.
* KilledOffForReal: Gunned down by Forgotten Families thugs after they got fed up with him constantly failing to get into the games, with nobody but Jackson and the Forgotten Families even ''knowing'' he's dead due to Jackson assuming his identity.
* NeverMyFault: He blamed his teammates for his failure to qualify in the Apex Games. [[GameplayAndStoryIntegration Given that his armor's abilities are very teammate-centric]], it's easy to see why he's so frustrated with them.
* YouHaveFailedMe: The Forgotten Families kill him after losing patience with his constant failures.
