[[folder:Music from the character in question's show(s)]]
* The original theme, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uihVrASDQhU Invader,]] got people super pumped up for the carnage that would unfold.
* The music in the background while they describe Superman is actually part of the ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeagueCrisisOnTwoEarths'' theme [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FztJNLfTGbM here]].
* Goku's music is a variety of themes from the ''Manga/DragonBall'' anime, as well as the ''VideoGame/DragonBallZBudokai'' games. The most memorable would definitely be at the end of the analysis with the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3s2Ksz7rpck Super Saiyan 3 theme]] of ''Anime/DragonBallZ''.
* "Tigerzord vs. Gundam Epyon" starts with [[https://soundcloud.com/gundamexia15/gundam-w-ost-1-05-when-the "When The Dragon Swims, Everything Ends"]] from Gundam Wing.
* There was also the use of a track from ''Literature/SwordArtOnline'' during the climax of Deadpool Vs Deathstroke: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ad5TszNUVYI "Swordland",]] the ''most iconic piece in the series''.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmGFCWuLgTs Thor's Hammer]] by Ethan Meixsell: stupidly awesome Music/GammaRay style PowerMetal to fit [[Recap/DeathBattleS02E19ChuckNorrisVsSegataSanshiro a stupidly awesome battle]].
* The final blow of the battle between Chuck Norris and Segata Sanshiro, as the universe collapses and they're rendered as constellations, is set to a snippet of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abjE9Qx0O60 "To Glory"]] by Music/TwoStepsFromHell. (Specifically, from about 3:59 to 4:12.)
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqMte2JEG2A A remix]] of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkYYYew8CUI Forces]] from ''Manga/{{Berserk}}'' was played during Guts' character overview when they discussed about the [[{{BFS}} Dragon Slayer]]. During the fight itself, they used [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hflzFqfL5dk The Wrath of God (Part II)]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PesYu_sUaw Griffith's Dream]] from the Golden Age anime movies, the latter when Guts was about to land the killing blow. Even the theme that plays in the post fight analysis, also from ''Berserk'', [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbtmmZnrrgM "Sign-2",]] is stellar.
* The fight between [[VideoGame/MegaManClassic Mega Man]] and Anime/AstroBoy was accompanied by [[https://youtu.be/P8p-Ap2vhpc Atlantis]], a blood-pumping song from the 3DS game [[VideoGame/SeventhDragon 7th Dragon Code: VFD]].
* When the Climax of Iron Man vs Lex Luthor has [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5koepEEiYU&t=1m7s this]] playing, you know shit is about to get real.[[note]] It's the second half of "Mkaliez" from ''Anime/AldnoahZero''.[[/note]]
* The first two rounds of Solid Snake vs. Sam Fisher are set to "Gotta Get the Cash" and "Laughing at U" from ''VideoGame/AnarchyReigns'', with the climax having "Divine Identity" from ''[[VideoGame/DigitalDevilSaga Digital Devil Saga 2]]''.
* The climax of "Darth Vader vs Doctor Doom" has [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICvr93Bz1S4 "The Edge of Green"]] from ''VideoGame/RadiantHistoria''.
* The trailer for Goku vs Superman 2 is a shortened version of Music/LesFriction's "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MJd0RTOW1Y Louder Than Words]]".
* The music played during the climax of Goku vs Superman 2 is the edit of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW8iR82SFdI "Call Your Name"]] used during the climax of ''Anime/AttackOnTitan'' and it captures the awesome, yet bittersweet nature of the end to this epic battle.
* Whenever Yang has the advantage during the fight (i.e. the entire second half), the chorus to her theme [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9mQTmXxU8E I Burn]] plays. The last lyric "Like a fever I will take you down" holds true as it ends just before Yang breaks Tifa's neck. Before that, the song that plays during the beginning of the fight is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SyBn-VWoMY It's All About Me]] from ''VideoGame/AnarchyReigns''.
* The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RalKcz0qH30 climax of Pokemon Vs. Digimon]] uses "Uncontrollable" from ''VideoGame/XenobladeChroniclesX'', a fitting song to accompany [=WarGreymon=]'s debut and the final battle between him and Mega Charizard X, the song's intense techno rock setting the tone as the two lizards clash, and fittingly dropping to its calmer, somber section for Red and Charizard's rather emotional death and for the calm after the storm once Tai and Agumon have claimed victory.
* ''VideoGame/{{Kirby}} vs. [[Anime/DragonBallZ Majin Buu]]'' starts with "[[VideoGame/KirbyTripleDeluxe Dedede's Royal Payback]]" for the first part of Kirby vs. Fat Buu, and when Kid Buu takes to the scene "[[VideoGame/KirbysReturnToDreamland Under My Control]]" kicks in. And of course, the [[VideoGame/KirbyTripleDeluxe Hypernova theme]] plays for the finale, as Kirby sucks up Kid Buu's planet-buster and spits it back at him, sending Buu hurtling into the sun.
* During Ragna's preview, we get his boss theme, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA2ZaRleyOE "Black Onslaught"]], and in the full episode, we get his iconic badass theme music, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpdrQNeeypA "Rebellion"]].
* The music during the Wolverine vs. Raiden battle is awesome enough, but one piece is particularly badass. Listen closely while Jack is in Ripper Mode, and an awesome remix of ''Devil May Cry 3''[='=]s final boss music can be heard.
* The Dante vs Bayonetta trailer used this EPIC rendition of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udX3xj5dRtk "Sound of Silence"]]. When Trish and Jeanne make their cameos in the episode, [[https://youtu.be/VEmWfkFEVLU Find You]] from ''VideoGame/AnarchyReigns'' plays, fitting the circumstances to a T. And for the battle itself, the choice of "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktwGySkkmiA Aesir]]" for its climax is just sublime.
* Ratchet and Clank vs. Jak and Daxter was done to the tune of ''[[VideoGame/{{Tekken}} Tekken 7's]]'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvnharyLiis Jungle Outpost]] stage (a track so awesome that it was used again in Ken Masters vs Terry Bogard), with the second half switching to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2W1Wi2U9sQ Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture]]... courtesy of the rapid firing missile launcher, RYNO V.
* Flash vs. Quicksilver has [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y35Lew0k1jE Super Skrull's theme]] playing at the beginning. At the climax, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bbl2u7FzS3Y The Flash (2014) theme starts playing]] as Flash delivers the final beatdown.
* The song that plays in the middle of Joker vs. Sweet Tooth? ''Film/MadMaxFuryRoad'''s [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00LXKGkETn8 Blood Bag.]] And in the beginning? [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLwMOfZk7XY Dom vs Brian from Fast and Furious.]]
* Tracer vs. Scout is accompanied by [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOy0KgZ7LUg "Mortified"]] from ''VideoGame/AnarchyReigns''. The fast-paced, catchy techno fits very well for a high-speed firefight between two very quick and confident mercenaries. The last part even syncs exactly to the ending, where Tracer finishes off Scout by swiping his Bonk Atomic Punch and sticking a Pulse Bomb onto him.
* Amy Rose vs. Ramona Flowers is accompanied by a remixed version of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vS_a8Edde8k Flowering Night]] (more specifically, the [[Memes/TouhouProject infamous]] "Night of Nights" made by [=BeatMario=] from COOL&CREATE) from ''Franchise/TouhouProject'', which fits the energetic nature of the two combatants.
* Hulk vs. Doomsday is accompanied by [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJ-drpEGRc0 Hot Wind Blowing]] from ''VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance''. The climax switches to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xL7n3sF7sX0 Sky Should Be High]] from ''[[VideoGame/GuiltyGear Guilty Gear Xrd- Revelator-]]''.
* After the town-destroying clash of techniques between Zoro and Erza, the song [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhCQ6jQIgeQ "The Very, Very, Very Strongest"]] from the ''One Piece'' OST starts playing as Zoro, bloodied but not beaten, stands up and puts his trademark bandanna over his head and prepares to keep fighting.
* The first song in the reveal trailer for Lara Croft vs Nathan Drake is a soft tone remix of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7Gz728d714 Drake's theme]] in ''Uncharted'', fitting for showing the images of the young days of both fighters and the adventurous feelings that both series inspire. Next, the action scenes and the battle preview are properly accompanied with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5amDP_PRqTs the main theme]] of ''Tomb Raider: Legend''. For the battle itself, we have [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUxSIVLGGPA Invidia]] from ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXV''.
* [[https://youtu.be/XpSX0vLKzGc?t=478 Wiz vs. Boomstick]] in a rap battle worthy of WebVideo/EpicRapBattlesOfHistory.
* What better way to set the mood of an 8 bit battle than some awesome 8 bit music? [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KG6yCHgwkbk Gates of Fort Firestorm (aka "Thunder Landing")]] from ''[[VideoGame/{{Contra}} Super C]]'' and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2TQgdK1Sq8 Act I]] from ''Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom'' were excellent choices for Scrooge [=McDuck=] vs Shovel Knight.
* In the Venom vs Bane fight, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcXD6RETN24 "Venom Fight 1",]] the boss music from ''[[VideoGame/UltimateSpiderMan2005 Ultimate Spider-Man]]'', is heard when the fight starts. After that, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9BL59uiAz8 "Beautiful Lie"]] from ''Film/BatmanVSupermanDawnOfJustice'' plays in the background. And just when it looks like Bane has the upper hand, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaK1mpHavS0 Teleology of Death]] from ''Anime/DeathNote'' kicks in as Venom turns the tables.
* The finale of Natsu vs Ace has [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lGzvsCc1G8 Natsu's theme]] kick in as Natsu lands the killing blow.
* "Sub-Zero vs. Glacius" is set to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auMagsgTDmU "Shatterhail"]], Glacius' theme from the 2013 Killer Instinct reboot.
* "Metal Sonic vs Zero" had the fast paced [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhwvX_8l7Yw "Mega Man X5 'Duality' X vs Zero"]] just to drive home how epic it is seeing two machines, built to surpass their creators' worst nightmares, duke it out in a no holds barred match to the death.
* The teasers and the battle itself of "Balrog vs. TJ Combo" featured [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JapDyUwAu8 "I'm Back (to Rise)"]], TJ's theme from the 2013 Killer Instinct game.
* Bucky O'Hare's theme song. Even Boomstick gets into it.
* The music played during [[VideoGame/DigDug Taizo Hori's]] character overview is super catchy as well.
* The music from the Mega Man Battle Royale reveal, [[https://www.audionetwork.com/browse/m/track/data-charge_108524 Data Charge]], is a pulse-pounder of a song that combines speedy guitar riffs with chiptunes to get you in the mood to watch gaming's greatest robot legacy take center stage.
* [[https://soundcloud.com/clementmarfo/king-ofthe-jungle "King of the Jungle"]], used in the initial reveal of Black Panther vs. Batman, is a rap number laden with intense guitar riffs and smoothly-delivered lyrics that suggests the fight is just a taste of what the fifth season has to offer.
* During the second half of Ghost Rider's rundown in "Ghost Rider VS Lobo", the instrumental version of [[https://www.audionetwork.com/browse/m/track/black-waters_161810 Black Waters 2]] is played over it, setting up the Ghost Rider as an ominous and powerful individual with heavy guitar and drum solos.
* The reveal of "Genos VS War Machine" has one of the most triumphant tracks yet to go along with it; [[https://www.audionetwork.com/browse/m/track/this-is-the-planet-earth_153252 This Is The Planet Earth]] can only imply the fight will be epic on release.
* From September 11th 2019, Brandon decided to create remasters of songs he did from both ''Death Battle'' and ''One Minute Melee''. And the results are amazing...
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhQ67H59QxI Exo]] was already stunning on its own as a theme for Wolverine and Raiden's brawl, but this remaster bumps up all the heavy rock tune into something similar to heavy metal, resulting in a tune fully encapsulating the combatants' raw strength, enhancements and so much more.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u96i33wrIiE Alive]] boasts the same heavy rock-and-roll tune and melody for a heart-pumping battle theme to showcase Goku and Superman's full potential.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eqv-mVsPcUI Unlocking Heaven]][[note]] Yates revealed that due to his cat breaking one of his mixing monitors, he had to edit the original version on headphones, causing it to come out much worse than intended.[[/note]] still packs in with the same orchestral rock and thematic riffs from ''VideoGame/KidIcarus'' and ''Franchise/KingdomHearts''[='=] "Dearly Beloved" to give a truly epic theme for the little angelic guard and the Keyblade warrior to duel like never before...only this time, the orchestra shines through clearer.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysfWfsPjvR8 Chorus of Carnage]] is just as gritty and spooky as its original counterpart with an audio orchestra backing up the heavy rock-and-roll to put more emphasis on Lucy and Carnage's strengths.
** To commemorate the release of "Scarlet Witch VS Zatanna", Brandon released a remaster of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjyZum9iOuo A Strange Fate]], managing to make the mix between rock and mysticism even more pronounced while refining both halves individually to create a track that further exemplifies the power between the Sorceror Supreme and the Defender of Cosmic Order.

!! Music specially made for ''Death Battle''.
[[folder:Seasons 1-4]]
* The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USWONQl6f7Y theme for Goku vs. Superman]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLdoAuS4yHE and The Rematch]] are suitably epic pieces that draw clear reference from both combatants' themes over the years, specifically highlighting Robert J. Kral's theme from ''WesternAnimation/SupermanDoomsday''.
* The fanmade songs created specifically for ''Death Battle''. These include [[https://soundcloud.com/classic-black-and-green/the-book-of-ivy "The Book of Ivy"]] and [[https://soundcloud.com/classic-black-and-green/chemical-bath "Chemical Bath"]] both created by classic-black-and-green for "Ivy vs Orchid" and "Luigi vs Tails", respectively.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UR8U7L4HQmU "Alive"]], made for the Rematch of Goku vs. Superman. A rap-style boast that encapsulates the feel of two ultimate heroes clashing to see who's number one.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7v96i4Bgk9E "Exo"]], made for the Wolverine vs Raiden battle. A badass theme in the style of ''VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance'''s soundtrack with lyrics that capture the characters of Raiden and Wolverine.
* Charizard vs. Greymon has an original theme that's created by [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pql3uCu29vY mashing]] the ''Pokemon'' and ''Digimon'' themes.
* The battle between Bowser and Ganondorf had two songs created to fit it, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ls7pTYwrpxU Blood On Broken Glass]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVPgb-8fQsg Olympus Mons]]. While it wasn't used in the fight, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edZ3b9w_SlI the vocal version of Olympus Mons]] is just as awesome.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3NhSDqqAcM "Slingshot"]] by Trocadero is an awesome rock-and-choir song that plays during [[WebAnimation/RedVsBlue Carolina vs. Meta]], changing in tone as one combatant or the other gets the upper hand.
* The Power Rangers vs. Voltron battle was set to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcZDVp3flT8 Stronger Together]], a blood-pumping mash-up of both teams' main themes with a dueling sound between the Rangers' electric guitar and Voltron's techno orchestra.
* The successor theme of "Invader", simply named [[https://youtu.be/I7w-_F_VgMY "Wiz and Boomstick"]] by Brandon Yates, which debuted alongside the track "Shredding Silver", doesn't have to hide itself from the old theme - it's a worthy follow-up to the original theme. Even better, it includes homages to the old version.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SemkTUDyCs "Shredding Silver"]] is used for Shredder vs. Silver Samurai, mixing rock with Japanese string and wind instruments for a modern-day clash of an old rivalry between two warriors of Japan. When Shredder sets the forest on fire, the music grows faster with even harder percussion to signal the execution of his silver-clad opponent.
* The track used in Thor vs Wonder Woman, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvA62PxZvSA "Thunder of Wonder"]] by Werewolf Therewolf, is the perfect rock theme for a battle between gods. Also, it includes part of Wonder Woman's theme from the movie. The rock gets heavier with the appearance of Berserk Thor and the climax of the battle.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgIi_qdgGZA Shonen Showdown]], the soundtrack for "Naruto vs Ichigo". A fast paced rock theme with the occasional wind instruments, mixing elements from both series soundtracks, making it sound like not only a battle theme, but a true crossover. And the end of the song is all wind instruments and chorus chanting, in pure homage to the ''Naruto'' soundtrack. Fitting as Naruto is delivering the final blow to Ichigo.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcMif-LxffI One-Winged Devil]], the soundtrack for "Sephiroth vs. Vergil", is a suitably grand piece for Season 4's finale, packed with dramatic violin chords and dark guitar riffs. Special mention goes to the guitar solo at the end, which plays as Sephiroth brings down the Supernova on Vergil.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 5]]
* "Batman vs. Black Panther" featured [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgvGpszVpH0 "Battle at the Zoo"]], a no-nonsense number perfect for wanting us to see which characters will be crowned king.
* "Raven vs. Twilight Sparkle" featured [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cewzMivw4mY "Titans of Magic"]], a haunting, slow, guitar-heavy punctuated by the peal of bells, fitting for a showdown between mages. It comes complete with a final, echoing, solemn peal that rings out at the moment when Raven's Soul-Self lands the final blow.
* The song featured for "Jotaro vs. Kenshiro" was [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMrmKWA2sDA "Bizarre Stars"]], a rock song that also features riffs from "Stardust Crusaders" (Jotaro's theme in ''Jojo's Bizarre Adventure'') and "Ai wo Torimodose" (Kenshiro's theme song from ''Fist of the North Star''. YOU WA SHOCK!). It fades at two points. The first is when Jotaro stops time, and the second is when Kenshiro utters his [[YouAreAlreadyDead catch phrase]] towards Jotaro, revealing that Jotaro was about to explode into LudicrousGibs.
* Brandon Yates's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZdY99GynI4 "Crash and Burn"]] from "Crash vs. Spyro" sounds like it'll be a darker take on ''Crash Bandicoot''[='=]s xylophone-heavy pieces at first, but around 0:28, the gnarly guitar riffs kick in. Those, combined with the playful xylophone beats and the triumphant brass blasts, form a uniquely compelling piece of music suitable for a long-anticipated fight between two fun and nostalgic video game heroes.
* "Sora vs. Pit" features [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7_yad6yYas "Unlocking Heaven"]], which starts out a bit wonky, but then catches up and mixes Yates' guitar riffs with wind instruments, bells, and synth beats for an angelic theme that sounds like it came straight out of ''Kingdom Hearts'' or ''Uprising'', including a sped up excerpt from "Dearly Beloved" from ''Kingdom Hearts''.
* "Leon Kennedy vs. Frank West" has [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1rVkLKuTLE "Resident Rising".]] It starts out with the typical ambient themes found in zombie survival games before breaking out into the guitar as the fight starts. The guitar ramps up with the dark tone as a piano slowly builds up in the background to pay homage to the soundtracks of both ''Resident Evil'' (piano) and ''Dead Rising'' (guitar) before the killing blow, where the guitar slows down to make way for the piano and by extension, Leon's win.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5IFRVekHkY "A Strange Fate"]] is a fittingly majestic piece for two of the most insanely powerful sorcerers in comic book history, with Brandon Yates's signature electric guitar accompanied by sharp sitar strums and otherworldly theremin calls.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSY5Wf8RMcM "Fight Like a Devil"]] is a killer rock theme made for Ryu vs. Jin, made even better with Omega Sparx’s rap track in the style of a fighting game that feels like a rap battle between two of video game history’s best known fighters. It gets at its most intense moments when Ryu goes into the Satsui No Hadou with Omega Sparx going into dark chanting and more violent lyrics, and goes into blasting guitar riffs with Sparx chanting "Let's fight!" as Ryu goes into Mu no Ken to end Jin with the Shinku Hadouken.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoT8Vr15hSs Watch out, Samurai!]]" perfectly fits a duel between samurai with elegant string instruments mixed with a bit of hip-hop, and thus DEFINITELY fits for ''Samurai Jack vs Afro Samurai''. The theme steadily escalates as the two swordsmen continue to do battle, reaching its climax right before the final blow is dealt. Afterwards, it plays a short segment of Samurai Jack's theme ("Gotta get back, back to the past, Samurai Jack!") preceded by the "Watch out!". This comes AFTER Jack has reduced Afro to LudicrousGibs.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk9bxwE7t1Y "Chorus of Carnage"]] goes excellently with the setting and tone of the Carnage vs Lucy battle. Dark, disturbing, and creepy, while having an excellent rhythm and haunting melody. Even listening to it without context of the battle, you know that this is a battle between monsters that could be compared to the worst demons of hell.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpUdwJ0H_gg "Wings of Iron"]] is an '80s-style rock track bound to bring out nostalgia in any old fan of Transformers or Gundam, with lyrics that wouldn't be too out of place as an old cartoon opening or a song to play on full blast during a road trip on the radio.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3XKrVg90OU "Devil of the Night"]] sets the tone perfectly for the long-awaited Nightwing vs. Daredevil fight. The song itself is carried by the combination of intense drums and strings that sell the series' first live-action battle as being grounded and gritty as is expected by these street-level vigilantes. The recurring piano melody from Daredevil's Netflix series is just the clincher, as it becomes increasingly prominent throughout the battle, coming to a head when the lights in the garage die out and Matt (seemingly) has Dick on the ropes. It's only fitting that the four notes are played until fade out, the song's signature element ending alongside Matt.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJpto6wU0y0 "Retro Rivals"]], a fitting piece for ''Death Battle''[='=]s [[MileStoneCelebration 100th episode]], mashes together a few of the greatest retro hits from both Mario's and Sonic's home series into a medley that starts with a playful tropical theme, before switching to jazzy rock when the fight proper starts. As the battle escalates, the track gets slower and heavier, culminating in heavy electric guitar as both combatants fall from orbit, fighting all the while.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BEzZFdN83A Infection Perfection]]" fits both mechanical combatants with its industrial rock mixed with synthesizers and chiptunes for a futuristic track with lyrics bringing to mind the bloodlust and ego of both Ultron and Sigma. The track comes to a slower beat as Sigma and Ultron duke it out within their digital cores, with it speeding back up as Sigma learns too late that Ultron is barely fazed and his superior in every way.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGSPpqIiGVE Turtle and Toad]]" starts with peaceful lounge music... until the RecordNeedleScratch before Roshi and Jiraiya come to blows, whereupon the real fight track breaks out, blending together electric guitar, drums, piano and shamisen into a melody worthy of two of Shonen's most famous mentor figures.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0aDtTTHr9U Kings of Infinity]]" goes for a different approach for the finale of Season 5, creating a suitably grand and powerful track with both Omega Sparx and Yates at the helm. Omega Sparx delivers hard-hitting lyrics boasting of the sheer might of Thanos and Darkseid, with Yates trading his usual fast-paced rock for ominous synth beats and chilling organ notes mixed with slow yet strong percussion selling everything behind two villains with the power of gods.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 6]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1Cy_4SiYBo "Kings of the Sea"]] is used for Aquaman vs. Namor, a theme with grand violins mixed with ambient rock to fit two rulers of Atlantis in and out of the water. The end switches to violent ''Jaws''-style violin chords as Namor is eaten alive by anglerfish.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TutPTL8vqh0 "MegaMania"]] is a mix of rock and electronic beats in the style of the ''VideoGame/MegaManX'' soundtracks that starts off strong, fitting for a battle between 5 super fighting robots, then around the half way mark, Sithu Aye goes into an exciting and pulse-pounding guitar solo as a sign that the fight's getting real and the blue bombers aren't going down easily.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTqzQhV0F5M "Widow's Kiss"]] starts off with spaced, echoing notes during the lead-in of Natasha's mission, and maintains the melody even as heavier instrumentals join in once Amélie has her opponent's attention. At the end of the battle, the track goes quiet for a moment during Widowmaker's decapitation, and then a light piano melody plays over Black Widow's BondOneLiner.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9UE2buLZU0 "Marvelous"]] is a heroic theme fitting both Captain Marvels. It even has bits from the main ''Avengers'' theme, as well as the main theme from ''Justice League Unlimited''.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VN1GteHBN5E "Appetite for Greed"]] is a fusion of jazz and rock that sounds like it could have been plucked straight from the ''VideoGame/WarioLand'' series for Wario's fight with Dedede. With a music box interlude partway through keeping up the tempo, the song takes a fight between a obese treasure hunter and a royal penguin with a hammer and makes it as exciting as any straight-laced match the series has done before.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTKatLk2TWY "Emerald Heroes"]] is a number that combines pianos, electric guitar, and plenty of synth to convey the vastness and wonders of space, with some vaguely incomprehensible chanting for an extra touch. In the violin segment near the end, Hal recites the Green Lantern mantra to give himself a second wind against Alien X.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eG5zbUFZ6Cc "Winter Sonata"]] is an elegant orchestral theme that suits both heiresses of ice, with dominant violins and piano themes that convey the grace and technique of Weiss and Mitsuru. The theme goes into heavier beats of rock in a few moments, most notably when Weiss summons the Arma Gigas and to fade out when Weiss is frozen and shattered by Mitsuru.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oGBRENFlTI "Falcon Uncaged"]] is a high speed techno rock theme that gets you pumped up for these two action stars to duke it out. Kudos to [=RichaadEB=] with the guitar solo finale, which kicks in as Captain Falcon summons the Blue Falcon to finish Johnny off.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDbu1vnCFHo "Elements of Alchemy"]], a blend of eastern and classical strings, is the ideal track for a fight between Aang and Edward Elric. With an otherworldly allure to its melody, its presence makes the match itself just as memorable. Special mention goes to the ending, a triumphant remix of the ''Avatar'' theme as Aang unleashes the full might of the Avatar State against Ed.
* A fight between [[BadassBiker badass bikers]] only deserves the gnarliest metal there is, and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVpMNK36S50 "Ride into Hell"]] certainly delivers on that front. The wild riffs just keep on coming and the track ends with an intense guitar solo as each roguish murder machine pulls out their coups de grâce, courtesy of [[Music/GaMetal Jonny Atma]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qH9fLKs-c_s "Draconic Robotics"]] is a theme fitting for two giant dragon mechs to face off with each other, blaring with guitar riffs, drum solos and techno. Special mention goes to the part coinciding with the Dragonzord transforming into Dragonzord Fighting Mode to begin the final phase of the fight.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcLnPg-Gtas "Dangerous Gaze"]] somehow manages to take an exuberant amount of electric guitar and ''understate'' it for the majority of the track, creating a melody for a match between two anti-heroic figures that manages to be suitably subdued for the majority of the battle and wonderfully epic for the finale of one of the biggest {{Single Stroke Battle}}s in the series.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMdkPoGFJ34 "The Dark Lords"]] is a theme fitting for two of gaming's biggest villains going head to head. The organs, crunchy guitar riffs and pounding drums all mix together perfectly to create one of ''Death Battle''[='=]s greatest tracks.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJDOc14pRjw "One Hundred Percent"]] is a unique piece. It starts with a foreboding drone at the start culminating in a strong guitar segment to coincide with the first showcase of power between two powerful espers, then moves to an orchestral segment for when Mob goes 100%, and shifts to a menacing static when ???% comes into play in the climax of the fight, showcasing the supernatural nature of ONE's most iconic psychics.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhaeGcEFZRA "Goodbye, Chimichanga"]] is a crazy and chaotic mix of styles, fitting for the most insane combatants yet. First, they begin with a fast jazzy track reminiscent of "Hey Pachuco" from The Mask's movie, perfect for the first fight scene. Then they include acoustic guitar, wild west and orchestra, associating them with different moments in the "fight". In the end, the track changes to conga music with bits of "Cuban Pete", fitting for the final showdown and the Mask winning.
* With the season six finale, Brandon and Therewolf team up for [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmpEABVoqmk "Mighty"]], a heroic and uplifting theme that oozes the excitement and positivity of both combatants, with lyrics representing their unwavering determination to keep smiling and fight on no matter what. Special mention goes to the ending guitar solo that incorporates part of “You Say Run” when Guy finally goes all out in the 8th Gate to finish off All Might.

[[folder:Season 7]]
* The opener of Season 7, Miles Morales VS Static, starts off with an impressive triple threat of Omega Sparx, SWATS, and Music/JTMusic known as [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjB76HW7ytI "Watts Up Danger"]]. The track takes the form of a [[BattleRapping rap battle]], with SWATS portraying the Ultimate Spider-Man and Omega Sparx voicing the Bang Baby. Both Miles and Virgil give sharp digs against each other during the fight, the ferocity of the lyrics matching the intensity of the battle.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96b3cT_HJmI "Sirens of Combat"]] is heavy metal theme befitting a fight between two of fiction's greatest [[SuperScream scream queens]] with violins and soft choirs mixed in certain parts to set up Dinah finishing off Sindel with a brutal fatality.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICmdWBUmvkI "Teenage Morphin' Ninja Power"]] is a fantastic retro-style piece, fitting for these two teenage leaders, complete with hints from both theme songs.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uw0iz9vn7w "K.O. Computer"]] is fittingly a heavy metal and rock theme, for these two heavy weapon heroes.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WJA9C3W9Ik "Lost Ice Storms"]], which combines the work of Brandon Yates, Myriani, and Jun Mitsui, is a rock duet with Celtic touches befitting of both series' styles. [[HeroVsVillainDuet The lyrics reflect the fight between Gray and Esdeath]] with Brandon as the ice mage and Myriani as the imperial general. It also matches the outcome of the fight with Myriani getting the last line in ("Hell's more likely to freeze") as Esdeath impales Gray with her ice sword arm and freezes him completely.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Usg6QiVo5gg "Four Fist Death Punch"]], a quick-paced and intense track, made mostly of 8-bit sound font, which represents the two fighters' origins, with a good dose of ''Pokémon''-inspired melody to top it off. It even has bits of both the ''Mortal Kombat'' main theme and the battle theme against Lance and Red.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRt2kXhw63Q "Days of Booster Past"]] is a great techno-rock piece that encapsulates the two futuristic combatants.
* The music for the fight between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Kakashi Hatake, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8L5xZxHKcMs "Force and Lightning"]], blends the sweeping orchestra of a ''Star Wars'' film with the shamisen and rock guitars featured in the ''Naruto'' anime. As soon as the tempo picks up, the instruments combine to make for a track as exciting as the battle itself.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIsOAHkazZY "American Phantom"]] is a hip-hop theme that jumps from subdued quiet to energetic beats flawlessly, all while incorporating pieces from both the ''Danny Phantom'' and ''American Dragon'' theme songs.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPbb9jJ0TRU "Princesses of Wonder"]], the theme of She-Ra vs Wonder Woman, is an orchestral piece with a little choir, centering mainly on strings and brass instruments, emphasizing the epic, warrior nature of both combatants.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daJ8SUG1z7E "Gods of Destruction"]], the theme of Beerus vs Galaxia, is a grandiose mix of ominous chorals and rock, very much befitting both fighters' sheer destructive power and godhood.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuLHyyEh9V0 "Frozen Fire"]], the theme of Zuko vs Shoto Todoroki, is an eastern style piece with a heavy emphasis on violins, the Japanese shamisen, and flutes, referencing both combatants' eastern influenced backgrounds. The beginning of the track features a remix of the ''Avatar: The Last Airbender'' theme, while the ending of the track features a remix of "You Say Run" from ''My Hero Academia''.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flPyUwpIsEA "Way Past Flash"]], the theme of Flash VS Sonic, a fast-paced techno rock theme that also contains riffs based on Justice League Unlimited's main theme as well as "Live and Learn", main theme of ''Sonic Adventure 2''. Special mention goes to the finale, as the song goes to a critically intense rhythm as Flash finally manages to turn the tables and land the Infinite Mass Punch on a vulnerable Sonic to finish the battle.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7SCpXZR9bo "Red Winter"]], the theme of Winter Soldier VS Red Hood, an orchestral piece with a more tense and serious nature with an emphasis on low brass similar to the ''Dark Knight'' trilogy and ''Captain America: The Winter Soldier''. It also remixes the Winter Soldier's theme from the film of the same name.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cmi0CNAmmTw "Madness Envenom"]], the theme of Venom VS Crona, a dark, techno track that represents the dark and creepy natures of both combatants AND incorporates Music/LudwigGoransson's [[Film/Venom2018 Venom theme]] at certain points.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4xvrguZ0uA "Blood Moon"]], the theme of Sabrewulf VS John Talbain, a heavy metal piece with vocals by both Brandon Yates and Tre Watson that emphasizes both combatants' ferocious, feral natures and also fits the brutality of the fight.
* The theme of Red vs. Blue is called [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpgwspty4cM "Blood Gulch Bedlam"]]. It's a fairly standard rock piece, though some may note similarities in its composition to [[VideoGame/TeamFortress2 a certain other work that features reds and blues fighting each other.]] This on top of some riffs from the Red vs. Blue soundtrack[[note]] namely: Blood Gulch Blues, Agent Tex, 100 Tex Battle, and Contact.[[/note]] accurately captures the wacky and chaotic nature of both the series the fighters are from and the title of the song itself (bedlam means 'a scene of uproar and confusion').
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkjNOGWMY0I "Webbed Wings"]], the theme of Batgirl VS Gwen Stacy, a synth orchestral piece that incorporates elements from Danny Elfman's Batman theme and Daniel Pemberton's Spider-Man theme.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_8CguTKv_I "Full Course Will"]], the theme of Sanji VS Rock lee, combines piano and strings with a jazz tone, with references to another song of Yates' ("Lady Killer") for the same match-up.
* [[https://youtu.be/FbZyPJE0pEo "Ikari"]], the theme for Hulk Vs. Broly, starts off understated with some tribal drums and Japanese chanting, then transitions into a bumping hard rock piece, complete with blazing guitars and heavy beats. As it approaches the climax of the fight, the pace grows steadily as the universe is breaking beneath the weight of the blows landed. It ends with a smooth fading out of the chorus, just as the Hulk slowly fades away. It's an exceptional piece worthy of the heaviest hitters the series has ever seen. And major props to it being the first song of ''Death Battle'' go bilingual with greatly sung Japanese lyrics too!
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 8]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6YunFGuDN4 "Hearts of Light"]], the theme for Yoda vs King Mickey, is a fantastic orchestral piece, befitting both the Jedi Master and the king of Disney Castle, with both of their series using orchestra to its fullest. Using leitmotifs from both series, it comes to a head near the end of the song when a beautiful variation of "Simple and Clean" can be heard as Mickey deals the final blow to Yoda with Ultima. It's a sublime piece that wouldn't feel out of place in either series.
* [[https://youtu.be/BeYCL_F-N9Y "Chaos Unraveled"]] from Shadow vs. Ryuko is a rather fitting {{metalcore}} piece that complements the brooding anti-hero natures of both its combatants, taking inspiration from both "I Am... All of Me" and "Before My Body is Dry", with lyrics that appropriately highlight how both of them are in the end not that different.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_qwzJ7Ecs4 "Apex Of Doom"]] from Lex Luthor vs. Doctor Doom is an epic orchestral piece accompanied by glitchy percussion. The electronic music provides a perfect tune for two evil masterminds with technological weaponry and armours.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExFIUxkeI4A "Kings of Iron"]] is a heavy electronic score that takes a lot after "Heat Haze Shadow" from ''VideoGame/Tekken7'', while also sampling Geese's signature {{Leitmotif}} "Soy Sauce for Geese" at a couple of points, creating a sound that harkens back to each man's arcade roots with a modern flair - perfect for a battle between two fighting game titans.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tespCKQdE9g "Thunder Shroud"]] is a foreboding yet heart-pounding score with elements from "This Time" and "My War" that sounds like it could have come straight out of either combatant's soundtrack.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqMjoBFyglk "Dragons & Dumplings"]] is an eastern-inspired orchestral piece that has a mixture of whimsical rests and powerful pieces, much like Hans Zimmer and John Powell's music in the ''Kung Fu Panda'' series.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDrFkFwj0Io "Stars of the Universe"]] is a light-hearted track that highlights both Steven and Star's childlike natures and mystical qualities before it ramps up in intensity as their battle grows deadlier with a magical synthesizer sound effect at the end, implying Star's triumph over Steven. There are also hints of the ''Steven Universe'' theme song in the beginning of the track.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-j6clmow0tE "Final Breath"]], the music for Cloud vs. Link (2021), is a heavy action-oriented piece that takes inspiration from both series, specifically having similarities to "Let the Battles Begin!" from ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII'', as well as a portion where the music cuts out to the Song of Storms from ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime'' referencing where Link plays the mentioned Song to set up a Skyward Strike. The instruments also represent the characters, with electric guitar representing Cloud and chorus chanting representing Link. The finale of the song is also quite spectacular, with a ''Final Fantasy VII'' styled remix kicking in at the reveal of Cloud having the Omnislash V5 set up as he performs the killing blow on Fierce Deity Link.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGKjRdcsLjU "Suit Yourself"]], the music for Batman vs. Iron Man, is a rocking AC/DC-style song interlaced with clips of more orchestral pieces that sound like they were ripped from the soundtrack of a Batman production.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxTG0dLcFwQ Reverse Rosé]], the music for Goku Black vs. Reverse Flash, is a hard rock track that fits both combatants and their cruel, violent narcissism.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsbNzbKh5QA "Hell over Heaven"]], the track for DIO vs Alucard, is a heart pumping track that starts slow before exploding into energy around the same time the fight does, with the guitar especially being something to die for.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYW2wtz9V9M Weather the Elements]]", the music for Korra vs Storm, is a beautifully pulse pounding track that takes elements from both ''WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra'''s sound track and African style music to create an extremely fitting track for both fighters.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlKXxQTsUSE Hollow Dreams]]", the track for Madara vs Aizen, is a heavy rock track with lyrics about how manipulative and powerful the two villains are, complete with a few segments from "Dangerous Gaze", the song that played when a previous Uchiha entered a Death Battle.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TjZmi3qOEQ Balderdash]]", the track for Saitama vs. Popeye, begins with a heavy rock segment reminiscent of "THE HERO!!", the theme of One Punch Man. Then it drastically shifts in genre as Popeye and Saitama continue to battle, including an 8-bit segment that includes Popeye's classic theme for when the two switch to sprite animation, an orchestral track when the fight becomes 3D, and a brief lull in the climax when Saitama [[WorthyOpponent finally realizes that he's found the serious fight he was looking for.]]

[[folder:Season 9]]
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTZZKtHF1sk Mad Laugh Riot]]", the track used for Harley Quinn VS Jinx, is an intense high-energy rock song with plenty of carnival motifs, fitting for the location the two girls fought in, with the lyrics summing up both fighters' wild, crazy personalities as a result of all they've been through. The final chorus even kicks in as Jinx turns the tables against Harley and unloads a ton of bullets into Harley before she goes to finish her off.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2mPVjKpzMA Spellaholics Synonymous]]" is a mystic sounding track that sounds constantly foreboding, letting the audience known that this battle will be both intense and insane, fitting the battle as well as the combatants.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIkK9mKOmmM Breathless Blades]]" is a heroic yet somber track incorporating elements and leitmotifs from ''Manga/DemonSlayerKimetsuNoYaiba'' ("Tanjiro no Uta") and ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventurePhantomBlood'' (Jonathan's Theme, "Roundabout" and "Sono Chi no Sadame", with even a few horns to represent [=JoJo=] Parts after ''Phantom Blood''). The track conveys just how kindhearted and determined both of them are, but also keeps the underlying tone of the tragedy of their fight.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEIUoxDrWRQ Princes of Pride]]" is an epic rock track that gives the type of blood pumping excitement befitting a battle between the [[ComicBook/TheMightyThor God of Thunder]] and the [[Characters/DragonBallVegeta Prince of Saiyans]].
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsXRsa0EuWg Diabolical Invincible Me]]", which plays for the battle between [[WesternAnimation/Invincible2021 Omni-Man]] and [[Series/TheBoys Homelander]], has a great synth track that echoes "Tom Tom" by Holy Fuck, which plays during Omni-Man's decimation of an alien planet. Doubly awesome when you realise it draws no stylistic influence from ''Series/TheBoys'' whatsoever, foreshadowing Nolan [[CurbStompBattle utterly BODYING Homelander]] to the [[CatharsisFactor undisguised joy]] of people everywhere, including [[Funny/DeathBattle the official Twitter accounts of each franchise.]]
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVpP-RxXirE Ego Death]]", which plays for [[Franchise/MarvelUniverse Magneto]] vs [[Manga/{{AKIRA}} Tetsuo]], is a futuristic-sounding synth-based techno track, reflecting the cyberpunk setting of ''Manga/{{AKIRA}}'' and the ''WesternAnimation/XMenTheAnimatedSeries'' soundtrack, and how Tetsuo takes the lead at first. It then changes into a slower and more ominous track to show Magneto getting serious and then into straight-up chant-filled horror with Tetsuo's Ego Collapse form. And ending with a somber funeral march as Magneto gives the kid a MercyKill.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXnSjjhKJig Hero's Journey]]", is a track that combines Chinese and Greek to make an upbeat and bombastic, yet tense and dramatic melody, ending with a small flute solo to signify Son Wukong smiting Hercules in both their mortal and divine forms.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2nUQ9TBP7s If it Bleeds]]" is an orchestral remix of the sinister tones, notes, motifs, and overall horror vibe of the [[Franchise/{{Predator}} the titular Predator]], mixed with [[Franchise/StarWars Star Wars's own orchestral parts]], making feel like Boba Fett is being hunted down by this thing. Which makes the triumphant swell at the end when he walks away from the nuclear suicide bomb, down an arm but still victorious after over 11 years of being Death Battle's first ever loser, all the sweeter.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cejYiq7j2JE The Metal Lotus]]", an intense rock theme for the bonus episode Excalibur VS Raiden, sounds like something you'd hear from a boss theme straight out of ''VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance'', with hints of an orchestral motif that wouldn't feel out of place in ''VideoGame/{{Warframe}}'', and lyrics that tell both Raiden and the Tenno's nature of being ChildSoldiers born into war.
* Therewolf Media decides to give its due to Bond VS Wick on "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDDbwukJv9o Secret Service]]". This piece, which harkens back to [[Franchise/JamesBond Bond]]'s flicks is heavy on the brass and strings, but has moments that harken closer to [[Film/JohnWick Wick]]'s soundtrack, like the percussion and echoing sounds at the start of the parking lot fight and Wick's last stand. All and all, abrupt ending aside, a great piece that perfectly gives off the feeling of a shootout on [[VideoGame/GoldenEye1997 the N64's GoldenEye]]'s Multiplayer mode, perfectly topped with a solemn sendoff to Wick played on wind instruments, and closed by Bond's signature bass guitar.
* Omega Sparx and SWATS return to team up with Brandon Yates on the track for Black Adam VS Apocalypse, "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYpGUwoGlRw Fallen Gods]]". Like "Watts Up Danger" over two years prior, this track is imagined as a rap battle, with SWATS portraying Teth-Adam and Omega Sparx portraying En Sabah Nur as the two deliver {{badass boast}}s to one another. And while some of the lines do sound silly and rather on-the-nose on paper, the vocals manage to deliver them in such a way that they go ''incredibly'' hard. It all culminates in a dark, orchestrated instrumental that signifies [[TheBadGuyWins Apocalypse successfully killing Black Adam and conquering what was once Kahndaq]].
* Brandon Yates brings in his long-time collaborator Logan Adams for "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmXrJFECuVI Hedge of Tomorrow]]", Trunks VS Silver's battle track. The vocal theme details both fighters' determination to fight in order to prevent their dark futures from coming to pass, even if it means going at it alone.
* Just in time for Halloween, Therewolf Media gives us Jason Voorhees vs. Michael Myers's battle track, "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfNiYVDAHvc T.G.I.H. (Thank God It's Halloween)]], a slasher film track that pays tribute to both Harry Manfredini and John Carpenter, combining the hearty brass and tense strings from ''Franchise/FridayThe13th'' with the synth and piano from ''Franchise/{{Halloween}}''. It really makes for a tense, bone-chilling song to listen to as you watch innocent victims run away from two masked killers.
* Therewolf Media returns once again for Sauron vs The Lich King with "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBLRP-Ym7Rc One King to Rule Them All]]", a bombastic piece complete with chanting, which perfectly fits the tone for a battle between the two all-powerful and evil kings and wouldn't be out of place in ''The Lord of the Rings'' films.
* With some mixing and mastering from Anthony [=DiGiacomo=], Brandon Yates pairs Deku vs Asta with "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFZFIAXbs5I Strongest Alive]]", a lyrical rock track that reflects the natures of both Izuku and Asta starting off as the [[UnSorcerer underdogs]] of their respective worlds, and including spins of choruses from two tracks made by Yates related to the matchup; "Mighty" from All Might vs Might Guy (due to All Might being the mentor of Izuku and the bearer of One For All before him) and "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYE2VbJM4vY Marvel For All]]", a very early fan-commission made by Yates for a matchup between Izuku and Ms. Marvel.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiXYyZh5vu0 Dragon Dance]]" from Gogeta VS Vegito appropriately acts as an ImageSong for both combatants' fuse-ees given how this is to date the closest Death Battle has come to an outright MirrorMatch. Described as a tribute to Goku, Vegeta and ''Dragon Ball'' as a whole, this fast-paced battle anthem bleeds the signature hard-rock that ''Dragon Ball'' is known for, with lyrics that depict both fusions as the GodzillaThreshold these rivals cross when needing to put aside their differences and literally join forces to overcome the most dreaded of foes. As with "Strongest Alive", this track consists of samples of melodies and lyrics from previous Death Battle tracks that appropriately featured Goku ("Alive") and Vegeta ("Princes of Pride"), in addition to tracks from the anime itself, such as "Cha-La Head Cha-La" and Vegeta's Super Saiyan theme. Oh, and who joins Brandon (fitting for a track focusing on fusions)? None other than Victor Borba. That's right, the same Victor Borba behind ''[[VideoGame/DevilMayCry5 Bury the Light]]''.

[[folder:Season 10]]
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNJTSknmI2Y Not Actual Size]]" is a stirring 60s rock track that incorporates elements of Ant-Man's Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse theme and the theme song of ''WesternAnimation/TheAvengersEarthsMightiestHeroes'' to capture the excitement of these two goliaths going head to head.
* With Dark Souls VS Skyrim comes "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rlMTUON8jw Fireborn]]", a high-power orchestral track based on the medieval settings both the Chosen Undead and Last Dragonborn hail from, made by Brandon Yates with the participation of The Death Battle Fan Choir, a group of members of the show's community enlisted by Brandon three months prior to the episode's release. Uniquely compared to other fight tracks, Brandon also released an ACappella [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GACmNWT2AtY version]] of the track on his [=YouTube=] channel similar to the Fan Commissions and Remasters he usually posts.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5tSQPapWdA Change X Of X Heart]]" is a guitar-based rock track, incorporating leitmotifs both from ''A Certain Scientific Railgun'' and ''Hunter x Hunter'' to back the fight of the two electric-wielding teenagers.
* Stitch vs. Rocket brings us "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyvlN7uYXzM Jailhouse Rocket]]", an Elvis-inspired number that wouldn't feel out of place in either Lilo and Stitch or Guardians of the Galaxy.
* From Vader VS Obito comes "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhNn36D6y6M That's No Moon]]", a somber yet majestic number signifying the {{Tragic Villain}}s we've all waited for to go head-to-head, culminating in an outright funeral march as Vader [[LetThemDieHappy is killed blissfully]], and also sneaking in the recurring Leitmotif from ''Dangerous Gaze''.
* Phoenix vs. Raven is set to "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oybEfRx6aV4 Forevermore]]", an orchestral track that is also a fusion of the theme songs to ''WesternAnimation/XMenTheAnimatedSeries'' and ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans2003''.
* From Guts vs. Dimitri is "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzohNwQ4rgs God's Hand]]", a dark, haunting, mixture of metal and orchestra that perfectly symbolizes the horror of these anti-heroes' lives and how they fight on through it, even showing a small bit of hope at the end as Guts seemingly says some final sympathetic words to Dimitri in the lyrics. Respect and empathy he returns in spades as he endeavors to defend his fallen foe's soul from God Hand.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwcNcfmF9Qk Mind Over Matter]]" is an ethereal, noir-inspired tune that befits the spacey origins of Martian Manhunter and Silver Surfer, notably never going into extreme bombastic changes aside from the ending, highlighting that J'onn and Norrin are aware something is dead wrong during the fight. When the fight reaches its climax, the song starts getting triumphant as the outer-space heroes take the fight ''into the sun'', then dies out to a dim tune when the Silver Surfer is left alone to wonder what it all means.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZT8PXj0xuA Discordant Decipher]]" is a fittingly chaotic number for the fight it's based on, portrayed as a duet with Yates as Bill and collaborator Mr. Goatee as Discord.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J60TOJGrPlY inHuman]]" is a rap battle-style song with Omega Spark and SWATS as Cole and Alex, with grungy instrumentation emphasizing how this rivalry has been going strong since the 2000s.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtfZudaRfJ0 Final Formers]]", the track for Frieza Vs. Megatron, is an epic ''Transformers''-style rock number with lyrics detailing the purple-and-white tyrants' immense power and how little many have stood a chance against either of them.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ToLjxvtbn8 Who Wears The Crown]]" mixes ''Jujutsu Kaisen''[='=]s piano and Japanese instruments with the breakcore styled rock ''Chainsaw Man'' is best known for into a blend perfectly summing up how awesome it is to see one of anime's most popular VS debates come to life.
* "[[https://youtu.be/oK7gEILL9o4?si=NGiOFdrydKeDmVw5 Forever Terror Night]]", the track for Scooby-Doo vs. Courage the Cowardly Dog, is an amazing rock piece that fits perfectly with the hectic pace that is Scooby and Courage's fight as the strange monster looms around them. Even more, the title invokes the iconic song "It's Terror Time Again" from ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooOnZombieIsland'', and the female vocals easily make one think it could be part of the Hex Girls' discography while also sounding a bit like "It's Terror Time Again" as well.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sb-oCyfunmY Wubba-Lubba-Allons-Y]]", the track for Rick Sanchez vs. The Doctor, is a futuristic, techno-orchestral bop that blends in the time-travel element of these well-known travelers across the galaxy dueling each other through time and space via both of their title themes.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbTLhc7zIq4 Super]]", the track for the fabled third round between Goku and Superman, is essentially a TriumphantReprise of "Alive", an intense number adding in leitmotifs from the end of "Dragon Dance" last season with added in orchestra parts capturing the intensity of '''the''' HypotheticalFightDebate finally come to life. Whereas "Alive" focused on settling an age-old grudge match at all costs, "Super" acts as its antithesis - very much aware of both heroes' status as inspirations to millions of people and paying tribute to that as the Super Saiyan and the Man of Steel engage in a spar with no hard feelings but leaving everything on the line all the same.
* "[[https://youtu.be/xCLJ-mIW2dU All-Consuming]]", the track for Galactus VS Unicron, is a slow-paced, yet cinematic orchestral that acknowledges the terror of these planet eaters ready to feast on a planet.
