1	* Episode 1 shows us right off the bat everything we need to know about the [[EvilIsCool Military Uniform Princess]] when she destroys Selesia's [[HumongousMecha Vogelchevalier]] with [[SwordAndGun a saber and a PPSh-41 submachine gun...]] [[InstrumentOfMurder used together as a violin.]] Pictured [[https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1294267539 here]]. This was such an [[SignatureScene iconic moment]] that set the tone for the series that fanart of the Princess holding her "violin" sprung up like daisies almost overnight across Pixiv and quickly rocketed her towards being one of the most popular characters of the spring 2017 anime season.
2	** Later, as Military Uniform Princess attempts to goad Selesia into joining her side, but Selesia refuses. Suddenly, Meteora joins the fray... by attacking Military Uniform Princess with bucketloads of heavy artillery. Meteora doesn't fuck around with bad guys.
3	* Episode 2's fight between Mamika and Selesia, while awesome in its own right, hits that peak of awesome when Selesia points out the difference between Mamika's idealism, born from a world where TheGoodGuysAlwaysWin, bad guys [[DefeatMeansFriendship immediately reform at a drop of a hat]], and chances are likely that things will [[EarnYourHappyEnding end peachy keen for everyone]] and Selesia's cynicism, born from a world where [[AnyoneCanDie the heroes don't get off so lucky]], the villains have [[GrayAndGrayMorality understandable, human motives]], and [[BittersweetEnding victory comes at a heavy cost]], [[DownerEnding if there's even one at all]]. It isn't so much as [[SillyRabbitIdealismIsForKids Selesia telling Mamika off for her idealism]] and [[DeconstructedTrope picking apart her logic of beating people up to understand her]], but rather telling her that, while idealism would work in ''her'' story, in Selesia's story, that's not the case.
4	* When JSDF commandos storm Nakanogane's house, the Created show off their badass credentials, but none so much as Rui. You'd think a waifish teen, even one who pilots a HumongousMecha, would be helpless in a two-on-one against trained soldiers. ''Nope''. One set of spinning, breakdance-like kicks is all it takes for him to flatten both his opponents. And ''then'' he summons Gigas Makina.
5	--> '''Commando''': Sakura 6 to Shirakaba! Correction: no capture! Backup requested!
6	* Episode 6 has a darker example of a clash of morals, one between the Lawful Aliceteria and the Chaotic Magane. Whereas Selesia's speech was contrasting idealism vs. cynicism while not talking down Mamika, Magane's speech is a full blown HannibalLecture to Aliceteria's motives of fighting for justice, explaining that [[NotSoDifferentRemark there's no clear difference]] between one who kills for justice and one who kills for fun if the former can just decide on a whim what is right and what is wrong.
7	** Special mention goes to the actual fight that happens afterwards, in which, outside of Yuuya, Rui, MUP, and Magane, ''everyone'' takes part in it. Aliceteria and Selesia clash weapons, Blitz takes out Meteora with special bullets, and the moment that ends the episode: Mamika finally jumping in... to defend the people she's supposed to fight against.
8	*** Aliceteria shows what she's made of with her ''Donnerschlag des Jägers'': a KamehameHadoken that blasts Meteora and Selesia, barrier and all, [[BlownAcrossTheRoom across a river]]... diagonally... ''through two bridges''. And now we know how she survived her DeathWorld homeland.
9	*** Adding to the above, Aliceteria proves her combat abilities by temporarily taking Meteora out of the fight with her very first attack, and had Selesia on the defensive(and losing) ''before Blitz even gets involved''.
10	* The premise and execution also deserve major props. It would be easy to simply write a show about fictional characters coming to the real world and hitting each other in highly-detailed fight scenes, but with the first six episodes, the show addresses both the philosophical and geopolitical implications of the characters' existence in a reasonable way, as well as presenting incredibly interesting ideas about how fictional characters would react to meeting the people who created them or the fact that they are no longer merely at the whims of the writer. And it does all of this less than halfway into its running.
11	* Episode 8: Altair has [[RedemptionRejection brutally and repeatedly]] stabbed Mamika after [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre she tried to get her to let go of her pain and move towards redemption]]. Using her last moments, Mamika [[DefiantToTheEnd steels her resolve]] and invokes her "''[[FantasticNuke Magical Splash Flare]]''", resulting in a ''gigantic'' magical explosion that [[TakingYouWithMe devours Altair's base]] [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome and the surrounding landscape with it]]. Rest in peace, Magical Slayer Mamika. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.
12	* Episoda 9: Magane is taunting Sota with his guilt from Setsuna and Mamika's deaths and tries to get him to do her bidding. But wait! Yuuya and Meteora have been following Sota and quickly realize that [[ManipulativeBitch she is trying to use him against them]]. They both say "[[DefiedTrope Screw that!]]" and attack her, saving Sota at least for now.
13	* Episode 10
14	** Sota decides to stop running away and tries to stop Aliceteria from killing Meteora because she thinks she killed Mamika. He even appeals to her better nature as an honorable knight and says he admires her dedication to righteousness. Sadly, [[LetsYouAndHimFight it doesn't work]], but the fact that Sota GrewASpine is worthy of praise.
15	** Matsubara, having grown to love Selesia the same way a father loves a daughter, refuses to see her die in vain and publishes [[ChekhovsGun the new image Marine had drawn in episode 3]] online. The surprising public approval the picture gets is enough to bring Selesia from the brink of death and give her a new power-up, enough to break through Aliceteria's shields. Sadly, the power-up lasts for a short while and Selesia still needs medical attention.
16	*** It shouldn't be understated at all just how ''badass'' this actually was... [[NonActionGuy Matsubara]] was able to '''[[CombatPragmatist weaponize]]''' [[WritingAroundTrademarks the stand-in]] for [[SocialMediaBeforeReason Twitter and social media]] in saving the day to give Selesia an EleventhHourSuperpower all while she was on the brink of dying. Talk about one hell of a PapaWolf.
17	** And to parallel the above. Altair was able to up the stakes by weaponizing '''copyright infringement''' against [[GiantMecha Gigas Machina]]
18	* Episode 17
19	** Suruga faces her creation, a man twice her size with a gun, with courage and dignity, explains to him why she did what she did and tops it all off by giving him his daughter back. Overlaps with a SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments by Suruga, this goddess...
20	** Villainous one for Altair, who manages to tank ''everything'' our heroes throw at her completely unfazed, including taking on full-on energy blasts from not one, but ''two'' HumongousMecha, an artillery barrage from a tank platoon, and a missile strike from a fighter squadron. And even when Selesia uses her [[WeaponizedTeleportation Ionian Aphoria]], her Vogelchevalier's [[LimitBreak ultimate attack]], all Altair does is simply teleport right into the Vogelchevalier's cockpit and shocks the heck out of Selesia by casually putting her in a HeadlockOfDominance.
21	* Episode 18
22	** Altair begins to lose her footing in the form of her allies. First, Blitz pulls a HeelFaceTurn because he has his daughter back, then Aliceteria reveals her true allegiance and outright declares that this is for [[LaserGuidedKarma avenging Mamika's death]], and then whatever hot water Syo had with Yuuya was defused by Yuuya spoiling the big plot twist. Even Magane, a wild card, wants to see her squirm and helps Souta out in that regard. If it weren't for her last remaining ally, Charon, diving in on the last second, she would have been defeated]].
23	*** Even if she's on the rocks, Altair ain't going to go down easily, considering in this episode she still continues to make the Vogelchevalier look about as useless as a child's toy: she stops its ([[{{BFS}} mecha-sized]]) sword [[BarehandedBladeBlock using only]] her left index and middle fingers then proceeds to '''throw the mech like a rag doll using only those two fingers.'''
24	** Suruga punctuates her previous one by showing Blitz she was wearing a BulletproofVest. Meaning: she KNEW what would happen ''every step of the way''.
25	** Sota shows his CharacterDevelopment and his newfound courage quite nicely by talking to Magane basically like an equal. This is a geeky, human teenager chatting fairly normally (as normal as it gets with Magane) with a psychopath that's always one verbal misstep from becoming a RealityWarper. It takes quite long for him to snap at her, and, even then, when he does, it (and she) ''helps him''.
26	* Episode 19
27	** Hikayu shows how far she has come by revealing that back when she was a child, her best friend died and there was nothing she could have done to prevent it. To shake Selesia off her hesitation to fight Charon, [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre she inspires her not to feel sorry for herself and to fight for what she believes him]]. Hell, she even rallies the other heroes to confront Altair while Selesia handles Charon! Kudos to Creator/ShiinaNatsukawa for that scene!
28	*** Her motivational speech ends up being ironically awesome and showing her own character growth at the same time, given that Hikayu not only has no combat experience prior to the Elimination Chamber Festival, but comes from a dating sim game, hence a story with no "heroes" or world needing saved in it at all.
29	** Kanoya's fight with Charon doesn't go well at first, [[AnArmAndALeg what with him losing his right arm]]. Still, he won't go down so easily and stops Charon's blade with one hand all the while berating him for betraying the heroic ideals he was supposed to uphold.
30	*** Kanoya's speech(with great visuals, and Layers playing in the background) to Charon really sells the awesome:
31	--> '''Kanoya''': "If you call yourself a hero, then don't be afraid of what Selesia is saying. You just don't want to admit it. That your world was created by someone else. And that there's no one but you who can save your world. You won't admit any of it, because you're scared. That's why Altair was able to deceive you with her lies. If you really are the person Selesia believes in, you would never do that. From the moment you chose to come here, you stopped being a hero. Selesia is much more of a hero than you are. If you really are a hero, then fulfill your responsibilities until the very end!"
32	*** All while holding onto Charon's mech's sword with a bleeding hand.
33	** Selesia knows she can't defeat Charon one-on-one, so she settles for the next best thing: [[TakingYouWithMe preventing him from escaping while Kanoya obliterates them both with his deflector shields]]. [[FaceDeathWithDignity Knowing she is in her death throes]], Selesia asks her friends to defeat Altair and for Matsubara to give good stories and coffee to everyone in her world.
34	* Episode 20
35	** The Creators' ultimate weapon: Sirius. The last character design Setsuna Shimazaki created, imbued with all of Altair's powers, and even manages to drive Altair into a brief VillainousBSOD. Even if the gambit ultimately [[AssimilationBackfire backfires]], seeing a fight between two StoryBreakerPower characters is quite something to behold.
