3	** That entire scene is a crowning moment for Blackbeard. Jack's mutiny seems on the verge of success, Jack declares [[TemptingFate 'the ship is ours!']], and then the doors behind him open. All we see is a silhouette, and that silhouette slowly walks forward to reveal Blackbeard, casually sipping rum while [[ShownTheirWork embers burn in his beard]]:

12	* The moment "Mr. Smith" enters the courtroom and we guess who it is. And much of the following 20 minutes.

14	** Heck, the ''whole'' chase scene, culminating in Captain Teague stepping in to save his son from a lingering sniper.
15	* Jack's duel with an imposter of himself (Angelica in disguise) is a deft display of swordplay that reminds us that Jack can rely on more than his wits.
16	** Not to mention the way that he [[TheBigDamnKiss ends the fight]] is both [[TheGadfly absurd]], [[ScrewYourself hilarious]], and [[CrossesTheLineTwice bold]].
17	* One of Gibbs' best moments is when, before his intended hanging, he burns the map before the others can do anything, and he tells Barbossa, "I've had just enough time to study those infernal circles. Every route, every destination, all safe... ''in here''." ''[taps his head]''
18	* The swiping of the silver chalices, complete with a very nice BashBrothers moment between Jack and Barbossa.
19	** Which leads to an even more awesome moment when they get captured, and Jack escapes confinement in a truly acrobatic and creative fashion. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzqZKCh1sIY Words cannot do it justice; see for yourself.]]
20	* "[[DueToTheDead Someone make a note of]] [[WorthyOpponent that man's]] [[FacingTheBulletsOneLiner bravery]]." Why? Think about it. It takes ''guts'' to jump in front of an army of elite Spanish soldiers and claim the Fountain for England, knowing full well that they're probably going to shoot you anyway.
21	** Worth additional mention: This is Lieutenant Thomas Groves, the same officer who stood by Norrington as Jack stole a ship at the beginning of ''[[Film/PiratesOfTheCaribbeanTheCurseOfTheBlackPearl The Curse of the Black Pearl]]'' and commented on him being the best pirate he's ever seen. He was also present in the third film, when Jack escaped on the Pearl ''and'' crippled Beckett's massive warship--he was the officer who wondered if Jack planned it all out, or just made it up as he went along. After three films of admiring the badassery around him, this minor character finally got a awesome moment of his own!
22	* The Spaniard's unwillingness to be corrupted by the promise of living forever with the use of the evil artifact. He nonchalantly topples it like he does this every day.
23	* Phillip dressing down Blackbeard, just moments after he was strung to the mast for who knows how long. He leaves ''Blackbeard'' speechless. Later, he steals a sword from one of Blackbeard's crew just to get Syrena some air, then wedges in his Bible with perfect timing when the pirate takes his sword back.
24	* Syrena is pretty awesome too, in her own way. She's very proud and strong and yet seems to have a heart of gold. The best moment is probably when Blackbeard is trying to force her to shed a tear. She gives him a look that just screams "to hell with you."
25	* During the mermaid scene, one of the sailors is a GrumpyOldMan who [[OnlySaneMan hates mermaids and tells the group that they're dangerous creatures.]] When Tamara pops up, he immediately draws his knife but is stopped by Scrum. He then gets one awesome moment after another. [[CoolOldGuy He knocks Tamara out by hitting her in the face with a paddle, then grabs his sword and kills one of the mermaids trying to attack him mid-air!]] [[ActionSurvivor He survives the final battle and is shown steering the Queen Anne's Revenge under Barbossa's command.]]
26	* The first mermaid scene is as awesome as it is terrifying. A few underwater panning shots show their powerful tails, two or three times longer than their upper bodies and clearly very muscular. Tamara, the first mermaid to approach the boat, beguiles the men by singing their song back to them. Several other mermaids begin to appear, and slowly surround the boat. The scene strikes a perfect balance between bewitching and incredibly unsettling — you ''know'' something terrible is about to happen, but in the meantime you can't help but be captivated right alongside the men. After a full minute of suspenseful build-up, when the men have been thoroughly lulled into a false sense of security, the mermaids show their true colours and attack. They swim with incredible speed, they can leap several meters through the air to snatch their victims right out of the boat, and they're strong enough to punch straight through the bottom of the boat with their bare hands. They show no hesitation and attack just as ferociously as if they were wild animals. Even if you go into this scene fully expecting the mermaids to be bad news, you might still be shocked at just how vicious and bloodthirsty they are, especially in contrast to how delicate they look.
27	* The entirety of Blackbeard's and Barbossa's fight. For a brief moment you think, "Barbossa is a cripple, he's screwed", then Io and behold, there you see Barbossa ''DualWielding his crutch and his sword'' against Blackbeard with enough mastery to make any other character jealous. There are to specific moments that illustrate this:

34	* Jack gets one that cements his status as a GuileHero. He offers a dying Blackbeard the two chalices, begging him to surrender his life to save his daughter's. Blackbeard pretends to agree... [[MoralEventHorizon and then drinks the chalice that will provide the drinker with immortality at the cost of the other's life.]] Jack hangs his head, as if ashamed... and then nonchalantly admits that he [[BatmanGambit switched the chalices beforehand]], tricking Blackbeard into giving his life to save Angelica after all!
35	* Barbossa claiming the ''Queen Anne's Revenge'' at the end, returning to his old pirate garb and setting out on the high seas again as a pirate.
