She proceeds to counter his arguments about order being the path to true friendship and harmony by pointing out that friendship doesn't mean being the same, but having a connection despite individual differences, and that harmony is about many different notes coming together to form something beautiful. Accord sees the truth in Starlight's words and accepts defeat, reverting back to Discord and undoing his mass brainwashing.
