Plus the fact that he beat her ''unconscious''.]]
** TheReveal that calm, mild-mannered Miron was [[spoiler: [[StalkerWithACrush stalking Diana]]. She is understandably freaked out upon finding out and even has to fight him to keep him out of her apartment, but after finding her boyfriend in bed with her cousin and ''pulling a gun on them'', he obviously leaves her be]].
** Diana's {{Rage Breaking Point}}s of [[spoiler:finding Ebony and Lance in bed and going after Ronnie after Ebony's rape.]] Given the moments that preceded these events, she could have easily ''killed'' them in the aftermath, especially with her repeatedly firing a gun at [[spoiler:Lance]] and ''missing''[[note]]made worse in that the bullet could have ''kept going'' towards an unintended target[[/note]] and her at one point stomping on Ronnie during their fights while wearing boots. Even the secondary accomplices didn’t get off easily with each of them earning a strong right hook from her.

* MoralEventHorizon: Reggie, Clyde and Ronnie are among one of the ''many'' villains of the film, but they hit full stride when they [[spoiler: each had a hand in allowing Ebony to get raped by Junior. Ronnie knows what kind of man her brother is and even after discovering what he did, she still covers for him, Reggie was the one who told Junior that she would let him (and the other men at the party) run a train on her and Clyde distracted Ronnie with the allure of weed to let it happen. Also, not only do both men [[KarmaHoudini get away with their act]] [[FridgeHorror (and it's implied that they do it to another woman in the future with Diana saying that they were last seen at "The Freaknik")]][[note]]An episode of ''Series/TrueLife'' chronicled the "Freaknik", a now-defunct Hip-Hop musical festival version of spring break, where two men groped and assaulted a woman on camera [[BystanderSyndrome while the cameras continued to roll]] with the suggestion they were the men who did it or at least among those who had committed other, ''non-televised'' sexual harrassments/assaults at the event[[/note]], but every man leave the party as the rape happens instead of making any attempt to stop it. Reggie even implies he did it because Ebony said no to him]].

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Freeman and Peters. Although they are implied to be DirtyCops and are seen to be [[ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem obnoxious and harassing people just because they can,]] they also are shown [[BunnyEarsLawyer to take their jobs seriously,]] especially in the aftermath of [[spoiler: Ebony's rape when they come to arrest Ronnie and Tricks.]] Also, in their rare interactions with the ''protagonists'', they are nothing but courteous to them.
* FashionVictimVillain: K.C.'s goofy Dreamsicle-orange ensemble. This is even brought up by Freeman and Peters at one point; in fact, it's such a contrast from Brooklyn's basic black clothes that you could view the duo as villainous versions of [[ComicBook/{{Batman}} Batman and Robin.]]

It's pretty obvious that the film was inspired by ''Film/{{Showgirls}}'', but what makes this an aversion is that while the film wasn't a runaway hit, it had a somewhat better reception, intentional humor (except in places where there [[MoodWhiplash wasn't supposed to be]]) and had more sympathetic characters, namely with Diamond being a more believable heroine (and actress) than Nomi.

** Dollar Bill could have avoided '''a lot''' of grief if he just paid off his debts, namely in being able to avoid [[spoiler: having his club firebombed and himself ending up abducted and [[NeverFoundTheBody heavily implied to be murdered.]]]]
** From the loudness of the scene involving Diana learning that [[spoiler: Miron was stalking her and them screaming at each other, Lance and Ebony should have heard her and could have gotten out of her bed]] before she caught them.

It's pretty obvious that the film was inspired by ''Film/{{Showgirls}}'', but what makes this an aversion is that while the film wasn't a runaway hit, it had a somewhat better reception, intentional humor (except in places where there [[MoodWhiplash wasn't supposed to be]]) and had more sympathetic characters, namely with Diamond being a more believable heroine (and actress) than Nomi.

* HamAndCheese: Bernie Mac is deliciously hammy in his role and is clearly enjoying earning his dues.
