* MagnificentBastard: "[[ClassicalMovieVampire Dwight Renfield]]" is the [[OurVampiresAreDifferent vampire]] behind the Night Flier murders. Flying from airport to airport draining his prey of blood, Dwight catches the attention of the arrogant Inside View tabloid reporter Richard Dees, attempting to force him off his trail before turning his focus to the elderly Sarche couple, appearing to Ellen Sarche as an old friend before killing her husband and claiming her life peacefully. Even as Dees follows him to the airport where he had just slaughtered everyone inside, he gives him a final warning to leave him alone, seeing him as a "brother in blood", sending him to his own personal Hell and framing him for his crimes when he ignores his warning, leading to him being shot by the cops, and finally corrupting Dees' rival to take his place as the top Inside View reporter. Despite all his vicious slayings and bestial visage, Dwight remains charismatic to the very end while despising the monster he is forced to be.

* CreepyAwesome: Dwight. This quote about sums it up:
-->'''Dwight:''' I suppose it was inevitable. You've been looking for me all your life. In the morgues, in the graveyards, in the faces of the dead and dying. Your whole existence has been a search for me. Well, here I am, my friend. Am I not all that you had hoped for? Am I not all that you thought I would be?

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: There's a few hints that while Dwight hates being a vampire, he takes some sadistic enjoyment from his outings.
-->'''Dwight:''' Your appetite for blood intrigues me. We have a lot in common, you and I... hmm... perhaps you need me Dees... but there are others who need me as well...

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: There's a few hints Dwight's confrontation with Dees implies that while he views Dees as a kindred spirit of sorts due to his making a living off of the misery of others. While it's implicitly suggested that Dwight hates being a vampire, this might suggest that he takes some sadistic enjoyment pleasure from his outings.
