* SpecialEffectsFailure: The game's assets consist of an odd mix of sprites from ''A Link to the Past'', ''Four Swords'' on GBA, completely new sprites in neither style and visual effects done in the artstyle of ''The Wind Waker''. Needless to say, it looks rather disjointed.

Making separate Four Swords YMMV page for manga

!!Manga
* AudienceColoringAdaptation: When fan work of any kind is made of ''Four Swords'', odds are it'll end up pulling from the manga, due to it giving the four Links and Shadow Link their own individual personalities rather than simply just being TheDividual and a MirrorSelf respectively.
* DracoInLeatherPants: Shadow gets this treatment in sequelfics or fanfics shipping him with Vio, portraying him as a "poor, misunderstood person who did no wrong". Bonus points if he is/was abused by Vaati in order to make the audience sympathetic for him. However, this treatment later started to wind down.
* EnsembleDarkHorse: Vio is extremely popular in the fanbase.
* FridgeBrilliance: Each of the three Links created by the Four Sword matches one of the the three virtues of the Triforce. Blue is a strong, aggressive fighter (Power), Vio is analytical and calculating (Wisdom), and Red is willing to fight alongside the other Links despite his inadequacies and relative weakness (Courage).
* HilariousInHindsight: Early on, Green mocks Blue's claim to be the original Link by saying "Everyone knows Link dresses in green!" Since ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaBreathOfTheWild'', Link's blue clothes have become just as popular, if not more so, than his green ones.
* {{Moe}}: Red Link has shades of this.
%%* FoeYayShipping: Many fans like to add a romantic context to the situation at the Fire Temple.
* RonTheDeathEater: Blue sometimes got this in fanfiction in the early days, being portrayed as JerkWithAHeartOfJerk who would constantly abuse [[TheHeart Red]] compared to canon's JerkWithAHeartOfGold.
* TakeThatScrappy: Unintentionally, this manga gives plenty of this to [[AmericansHateTingle the American haters of Tingle]] when Vio beats him with a sledgehammer, and later when he complains about being left out of the finale of the manga and it's revealed the reader didn't see him because he was crushed by a giant Force Gem.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Many fans expressed disappointment with [[spoiler:Shadow's RedemptionEqualsDeath arc]] and state that they wish it was more expanded upon. [[spoiler:It doesn't help that he's EasilyForgiven, either.]]

Most players don't even know it exists, exists because you'd need to stick around in it's such a niche case, but there are some choke points like the same spot for below-mentioned Temple of Darkness where it's very possible to encounter. * ItsTheSameNowItSucks: Some argue that they recycled too many graphic assets from previous games, even if they were enhanced. Plus, some argue that it plays too similar to the GBA game (despite that ''[=FSA=]'' blows it out of the water in every possible sense), if not to ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaALinkToThePast A Link to the Past]]'' itself, since it uses many items from that game.

Added DiffLines:

** A good number of the stage gimmicks that require four players to coordinate are just rather janky. Not necessarily through fault of design, but because the game expects the players to work in perfect unison to operate them. A single-player experience will actually be easier since the AI will mirror your actions.

In this case, the bonus is coming from a completely different piece of media, so it’s not a “Rewatch” Bonus. And Rewatch Bonus isn’t YMMV, anyway.

* RewatchBonus: After the release of ''Literature/HyruleHistoria'', going through the story again becomes much clearer in that [[spoiler:the Ganon of this game originates from a new Ganondorf, not from the same one originating in ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime Ocarina of Time]]''.]]

* FoeYay: Shadow and Vio, especially since Shadow states he really did consider him a friend and actually seems hurt by TheReveal that Vio has lying to him about joining him. There's also at least a hint of it with Shadow and Zelda.
