Added DiffLines:

* MostWonderfulSound: Morshu's glorious "MMMMMM!!!!" Especially when remixed into YTPMVs.

* MemeticLoser: All three games in their entirety are this in comparison to the canon franchise, but the character that gets this the most is ''Wand of Gamelon''/''Faces of Evil'' Ganon.[[note]]His incarnation in ''Zelda's Adventure'', while still basic as a FinalBoss, is actually respectably presented, and thus avoids this trope.[[/note]] Whereas the other characters are interpreted as varying levels of MemeticBadass, Ganon is [[NeverLiveItDown stuck being known as the supposed dark lord]] [[AntiClimaxBoss that's killed in one hit]] [[ThrowTheBookAtThem by a book]]. Along with his [[EvilIsHammy ridiculous acting]] and [[NightmareRetardant pitiful attempts at being intimidating]], he comes of as a ''far'' cry from the embodiment of evil seen in the canon games.

* VindicatedByHistory: Inverted. Nowadays, these games are either flat out reviled or considered SoBadItsGood by the Zelda fanbase. But would you believe that back when these games were first released they actually did pretty well with the game magazines? Critics praised the games for their animated cutscenes and voice work and thought they were a nice new direction for the series. (And even those who did give the game a negative review back then generally deemed it as SoOkayItsAverage.) People also learned that there were several factors that held the games back (the CD-i not being strong enough to make the games what they could have been, low budgets, tight deadlines, etc), which made them see the games in a more sympathetic light.
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: ''Zelda's Adventure'' had some [[http://www.nintendoplayer.com/interview/zeldas-adventure-jason-bakutis/ pretty good minature model and prosthetic work]], with special mention to the Gaspra costume worn by someone who was ''23''. [[SubvertedTrope Unfortunately]], the amount of compression the graphics required resulted in most of this work looking significantly worse in the final game. The two side-scrollers use hand-painted artwork for the environments and backdrops, giving them a very unique and interesting aesthetic.

* JunkRare: All three of these games go for a fortune nowadays, especially ''Zelda's Adventure'' which can go for ''hundreds'' of dollars, and that's not even factoring in the cost of the console itself which is another example of this. In spite of the fact that the only thing the games are known for are their cut scenes, which can be readily watched online nowadays, and are otherwise mediocre at best gameplay-wise.

* {{Asspull}}: ''It is written: Only Link can defeat Ganon.'' The prophecy is unbelievably absurd in its excessive simplicity and exact specification as well as the casual way it gets said by Gwonam.

* DiscreditedMeme: [[ZigzaggedTrope Zigzagged]]; Much like ''VideoGame/HotelMario'', the memes these games produced have been featured so many times in WebAnimation/YouTubePoop videos that nobody really uses them anymore. Unlike ''Hotel Mario'', however, the memes are still pretty popular ''outside'' of [=YouTube=] Poop on websites like Website/{{Tumblr}}.

* NarmCharm: In all fairness, Ganon's "You ''dare'' bring ''light'' into my lair? YOU MUST DIE!!" is [[EvilIsHammy pretty damn bombastic]].

** "After you've scrubbed all the floors in Hyrule, ''then'' we can talk about mercy!" Keep in mind that Hyrule doesn't just have homes, offices, and stores, it also has dungeons full of killer monsters. It would be safe to assume that the King wants those floors scrubbed too. Suddenly, that punishment doesn't seem so laughably minor...

Added DiffLines:

* SpiritualSuccessor: ''The Faces of Evil'' and ''The Wand of Gamelon'' are this to ''VideoGame/BelowTheRoot'' (often called one of the ''best'' Commodore 64 games ever). Same lead developer, similar gameplay style.

Added DiffLines:

** In ''Zelda's Adventure'', one of the forests has a ''freaky''-looking mushroom character (like a Goomba with a dopey human face) that appears seemingly just to warn Zelda about Moblins... an enemy that Zelda has already encountered numerous times already. Meaning this character is completely pointless, nor becomes important at any other point in the game.

%%* TheProblemWithLicensedGames: Sort of.* PlayerTic: Upon finding Zelda sleeping in ''The Faces Of Evil'', it's common for players to have Link tap her behind with the sword. Admittedly, it could be because, at first, they don't get they're supposed to hit the gong above her, but even if they're aware of it, many players seem to hit her with the sword anyway.

Added DiffLines:

** Suprena, the Ice Queen, since she's one of the few characters that can be taken seriously. If one ignores her [[RhymingWithItself repetetive rhymes]], that is.
** From ''Zelda's Adventure'', we have Lort and Pasquinade. The former because [[WebVideo/GameGrumps the Grumps']] fight against him contained some of the [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments funniest moments]] of the playthrough, and the latter for being pretty much MindScrew personified.

* HoYay: A [=BDSM=] relationship is implied between [[KissingCousins the King and Duke Onkled]]. [[WebAnimation/YouTubePoop Poopers]] jump on this quite often with videos such as ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZL6YHLwn9M The King's Secret]]''. Added DiffLines:

* SpecialEffectFailure: In order to keep disc space used by the animations down, they had the characters and backgrounds load as different layers. Unfortunately, the system's slow CD drive means that this quite often results in the backgrounds loading a split-second after the characters, which ends up being pretty distracting.
