* CompleteMonster: [[Characters/BatmanTheJoker The Joker]], confined to Arkham Asylum after the events of his [[Characters/TheDarkKnightTrilogyTheJoker film appearance]], continues to cause trouble by having Fields, the new DA, murdered and skinned to prevent him from having the Joker be ruled mentally competent and sent to Blackgate. Along with [[UngratefulBastard murdering an orderly who helped him escape]] and [[ElectrifiedBathtub electrocuting]] the brother of psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel's fiancé, provoking Dr. Hugo Strange and threatening both a nurse and orderly Lyle Bolton, the Joker threatens a homeless man, [[CruelMercy only sparing him because the guy has a death wish]]. The Joker also takes Dr. Jeremiah Arkham and his wife Lisa hostage, threatening them and later blowing up their house, rendering Lisa comatose. Before that, at Harleen's wedding, the Joker kills Father [=McHale=] by shooting him in the crotch and then murders Harleen's fiancé, which begins her transformation into Harley Quinn. The Joker also blows up a guard at Arkham and further torments Arkham later on by cruelly shooting Lisa's new heart while it's being transplanted.

* BetterThanCanon: "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_vAI00T2x0 Near-Death Experience]]", and most especially its [[spoiler:dream-state]] psych ward scenes, is quite possibly the greatest portrayal ever done, be it novels or comics, nevermind officially-licensed films, of the [[spoiler:emergence of Harley Quinn]]. That the material was produced for an indie Youtube channel is almost...jarring, to truly realize.

* UncannyValley: The digital old-age makeup they give to [[spoiler:Alfred]] in Season 2 Ep 7.

* FoeYay: Like in the film that inspired it, [[spoiler: The Joker makes some stunningly suggestive remarks to Batman. "We belong together. There's a wedding ceremony upstairs, just waiting for us to make it official ..."]]

** The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJ38LN_xfVo Series II teaser trailer]] made use of Music/TheBeeGees song "I Started a Joke" four years before Film/SuicideSquad2016 would do the same thing for the ComicCon trailer. The song even centers around Harley. The song would later still appear in the trailer for a movie revolving around [[Film/Joker2019 The Joker himself]].

* CrazyAwesome: The man himself, as well as the series overall.

* TooDumbToLive: The staff of Arkham Asylum, who do absolutely nothing to lock up Joker or improve security at all despite Joker outright murdering staff members and walking out of his cell at night. Really, it's less that Joker's a Magnificent Bastard and more of everybody around him being an idiot.
** FridgeLogic: Maybe they tried to stop him, but gave up after a mixture of constantly violent results and [[PrideBeforeAFall unwillingness by the administration]] to admit that he is immune to psychiatry at best, [[HannibalLecture toxic at worst]].

* ScheduleSlip: After season 2, episode 5; the series went on hiatus for three years until the creators finally released two episodes in one night before it went on another currently ongoing hiatus.

* CaliforniaDoubling: UsefulNotes/LosAngeles stands in for Gotham City.

* [[FanGirl Fangirls]]: If you read the comments on the videos, be prepared to either laugh hysterically or weep in fear for humanity. Or both. Especially on Episode 5.

* YouLookFamiliar: Several of the actors from previous episodes show up as different characters in Episode 17, [[spoiler: including a barely recognizable Mr. J doubling as Tommy Elliott. What a difference make-up makes!]]

* WinBackTheCrowd: Many fans were not happy with the EXTREMELY long wait for Season 2 Ep 2. When it actually did come out? It was 24 minutes long, won back most of the fans with the usual high quality, and now the creators have announced that the next two episodes will be airing next Saturday and the Saturday after that.
