** Migo's song [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiUIH37NhVQ&ab_channel=WaterTowerMusic "Perfection"]] has a very pleasant, upbeat tone to it. Also who knew that Channing Tatum could sing.

"Actor plays multiple characters with the same name" isn't really hilarious.

Uncanny Valley is IUEO now and the subjective version has been split; cleaning up misuse and ZCE in the process

* UncannyValley: Both the humans and the yetis have tall, narrow eyes really close to each other, which might be passable in 2D animation, but looks odd in 3D. Plus, the yetis have [[TheNoseless no noses]].

Pure misuse and complaining (per thread)

* {{Narm}}: The theatrical trailer for the film openly displays the title and artist of the pop song being used, which is so blatantly trying to sell the song that it would make the most shameless hustler blush.

* NoYay: For some viewers, Migo and Meechee’s romance is this considering Channing Tatum is nearly old enough to be Zendaya’s father.

* MagnificentBastard: "[[EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep The Stonekeeper]]" is the village elder and the Chief of the Himalayan Yetis. After a previous generation of Yetis got ruthlessly attacked by a group of humans, they escaped to the Himalayas mountains as a final resort. Generations would pass and Stonekeeper grew prejudiced against humans for this very reason. Getting the Yetis to work on a bunch of seemingly frivolous tasks that would actually generate steam clouds to separate the Yetis and humans. For years he was able to keep up the ruse and banished any who discovered the truth. When Migo delivers Percy to the land, Stonekeeper breaks Migo with a speech and convinces him to keep the lie alive, while leaving Percy in a box to freeze to death. He starts to regret his actions when he realizes that Meechee ran away with Percy from home and fights back by throwing stones at a helicopter.

** The film never really draws attention to them, but the glowing snails the yetis use for lighting have a real life basis. [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantula_striata There really is a species of bioluminescent land snail]] (although it doesn't live in the Himalayas).

Unrelated to the trope.

** Migo is able to communicate with a bear, indicating they share a common language. This is likely based on a common explanation for the yeti being misidentified sighting of bears. Or it could mean that Migo being a Himalayan Yeti, also known as a Wildman or Bigfoot, mimicks the noises and sounds that bears make because bears are a food source for Bigfoot. It is also likely that the reason why Migo can understand bear talk is maybe because all Bigfoot, including him, could have bear-like genes in their DNA, because of Bigfoot’s powerfulness and very tough survival instincts, and for having fur all over their bodies. Bigfoot aren’t bears though. They are primitive wild giant hairy humans.
