Renamed one trope.

* TheyChangedItSoItSucks: ''Scribblenauts Showdown'' (the first mainline game to not be developed by 5th Cell, after the company suffered a massive layoff) is a party minigame compilation instead of a puzzle game like the previous titles. It received lots of negative criticism from fans and critics alike, most of it directed at the gameplay change. Many of the minigames are standard party game staples and cheap clones of other games, that barely and superficially involve the trademark ''Scribblenauts'' mechanic of creating objects by writing out their names, not to mention the lack of depth and variety in the minigame selection to warrant said gameplay change.

* SelfImposedChallenge: Completing the game by [[TheAllSolvingHammer summoning only one kind of object for each puzzle]]. Since you're only limited to one noun, you'll have to rely entirely on adjectives to solve problems. Note that this is only possible in ''Super'' onwards since adjectives didn't exist in the first game.

** [[https://youtu.be/Nstqu4RpsMA?si=Vybw422VNi_rVok8 Gardens 1]] is considered by many ''Scribblenauts'' fans to be the series' main theme, and for good reason. It's a catchy, upbeat tune that also gets you thinking, like most of the tracks in ''Scribblenauts'' in general.
** [[https://youtu.be/mL0NGlg5WbE?si=60-2z8Ot9Q2gJR1Y Casual 1]] is an incredibly happy tune that's almost as well-regarded as Gardens 1.

** [[https://youtu.be/4bthnJJ-REM?si=CP6r9g996BuRFyaM Dark 1]] is surprisingly, well, [[DarkerAndEdgier dark]] for a Scribblenauts track, but that's what makes it stand out in the otherwise almost-too-happy soundtrack.

** [[https://youtu.be/R_M3n4OFysY?si=9UJDEpC_evrEAU-s Casual 6]] is a track that's so upliftingly catchy, it ended up being used as the first game's {{credits|montage}} music.

* CameraScrew: The camera system isn't awful, but occasionally the way it snaps back to the character can be a bit annoying. Thankfully, the sequel fixes this.

Molecular makes him even smaller than tiny

** In ''Super Scribblenauts'', the bomb disposal expert, makes bombs disappear instead of blowing them up like in ''Scribblenauts''. Give him the adjectives "tiny invincible flying diving" and you can clear away any minefield easily.
