** Some people think Chase is a Doberman, but he's a German Shepherd.
** Zuma is a chocolate labrador retriever, but some newcomers confused him for a dacshund, even though his body is too short for the latter breed.
** When Moby was first revealed, fans thought he was a Border Collie or an Australian Shepherd. His actual breed is a Portuguese Water Dog.
** Similarly, Al was thought to be a beagle when he was first revealed, but he's actually a Basset Hound.

** Sweetie has become quite popular due to being the first villainous pup on the show, and a genuinely cunning and competent villain to boot. She currently stands as the show's most popular antagonist.
** Another antagonist pup, Arrby, has become quite popular with the fans as well. Even though he is a sidekick to the antagonist, Sid the Pirate, [[AffablyEvil he still acts like a nice guy]], which helped make him a very adorable character from the fans’ perspective.

Added DiffLines:

** Katie’s pet cat, Cali, also has a surprisingly big fan base as she tends to be somewhat popular in fan art.
** One particular one shot character, a pup named Sylvia, who barely did anything at all in her episode, surprisingly got a huge cult following amongst some fans of the series, especially on Website/DeviantArt.

Not enough context (ZCE) I hope that someone will explain why Liberty in this episode is Adorkable, since I can't find right words to describe her.

* {{Adorkable}}: Marshall is a PreciousPuppy like the others, but adding in his dorky [[TheKlutz clumsiness]] and often awkward but goodhearted efforts to help just makes him all the more adorable.

mild peril is not kid-unfriendly, especially given that no character in this show is going to die horribly

* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: It's a show aimed at preschoolers, and airs on Nick Jr.. Despite the overall preschool-friendly tone, there have been countless times where the characters who need help could have '''died''' if the PAW Patrol hadn't saved them in time. The episode "Mighty Pups, Charged Up: Pups vs. the Copycat" in particular features the threat of Adventure Bay being '''[[ColonyDrop crushed by a meteor]]''' if the PAW Patrol fails to stop the supervillain Copycat.

* QuestionableCasting:
** As mentioned above, when Marshall's original VA, Gage Munroe, was replaced with Drew Davis in Season 2, many fans complained that Davis didn't sound a bit like Marshall. [[VindicatedByHistory This eventually died down as the series went on]].
** Justin Paul Kelly, Chase's VA from Season 5, has gotten a similar reaction from fans, again saying that he doesn't sound much like Chase.
** Ace Sorenson's Season 3 VA, Megan Fahlenbock of ''WesternAnimation/TotalDrama'' and ''WesternAnimation/{{Sixteen}}'' fame, was criticized for making Ace sound a bit too old.
** Mateo Carnovale, Tracker's VA starting in Season 8, has been criticized for not pronouncing Spanish words as naturally as David Lopez.
