* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: All of chapter 20 for the TrueCompanions, especially considering how effortless they make it look:
** [[LadyOfWar Shenandoah]] curb-stomping the poor bastards that try to get past her into the building the other three are in.
** The implication that [[ScarilyCompetentTracker Forest]] is so good at tracking that he's nearly impossible to hit and may very well have SuperSpeed.
** When the mooks say "Screw this" and just start shooting arrows at Shenandoah from all directions in hope that she can't deflect them all. [[SmartBall Well, they're right for once;]] she can't. But with [[BarrierWarrior Mustaine]] around, she doesn't have to. Some of the smarter bad guys have a bit of an OhCrap moment when [[MemeticBadass they realize he's there.]]
** But the main CMOA goes to [[BadassAdorable Melrose]]: [[spoiler:Some smart person shoots a flaming arrow at their hideout and [[KillItWithFire predictably it catches fire.]] Or so it seems turns out, it never did; Melrose took control of the fire the moment it hit the house and has had it under control for pretty much the entire time it was burning. He makes his entrance turning the fire into a chain of words before then crushing them into smoke [[ImpossiblyCoolClothes all in some brand spanking new duds]] that make him look pretty badass and [[DudeLooksLIkeALady like a guy for once.]] The chapter ends with him and Mustaine preparing to lay the smackdown on some mooks.]]
** [[spoiler:The above crosses into CrowningMomentOfFunny the next chapter with Melrose taking the time to flirt in the middle of fighting. Shenandoah and Mustaine's reactions are what sells it.]]
** Forest killing ALL of the scouts in chapter 21.
** When going to rendezvous with Shenandoah and Emika, Forest manages to elude even the experienced Thieves' Guild's detection and prevents Emika from being killed.
* CrowningMomentOfFunny: Apparently [[ReallyGetsAround Mustain]] has been with ''every'' member of Team Nightwish. Yes, even the '''[[LittleMissBadass tracker.]]'''
** Melrose flirting during a fight.
** The team's first meeting with [[ConstantlyCurious Forest]]. Melrose chomps on Forest's tail in his sleep before realizing he probably shouldn't be tasting something furry.
** Um, whatchu looking for there, [[http://www.mangahere.com/manga/dark_air/v05/c035/14.html Melrose?]]
** Mustain's [[RunningGag absolutely audacious disguises]] and Melrose's frequent crossdressing.

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Despite his [[spoiler:murder of Melrose's family,]] is Frank Zappa's ultimate goal of a '''permanent''' Age of Dark Air commendable and something that should be backed up, therefore making Melrose a HeroAntagonist? There's absolutely no denying that magic causes an ''IMMENSE'' class rift, to the point where Nobleman Mages would even perform casual murder for things like bumping into them the wrong way(Chapter 1), and Shenandoah even has to control herself during [[spoiler:the battle with Zappa's four apprentices,]] stating she'd forgotten an important truth: that Mages -did- rule the world. [[spoiler:The Queen of Peynia herself seems to feel this way, considering she's now SIDED with Zappa and seeks to imprison Melrose and his friends.]]
