** Then of course is Damien, a walking [[ParodySue embodiment of handsome, but troubled troubled loner vampire cliches]] from the ''Literature/{{Twilight}}'' franchise that had a much bigger reaction during its time of release in the early 2010s than it would nowadays.

** Jeremy, given especially after [[spoiler:Damien's death]] and earlier when he [[spoiler: kills Weird Jimmy by accident]]. The non-episodic videos also show that Chad routinely forces him into annoying unpleasant activities (such as trying his Super Bowl hot dogs...which Chad knows he's allergic to).
** Chad Vader, especially in Season One where he undergoes a TraumaCongaLine that almost has him DrivenToSuicide. It gets slightly better in Season Two, but his laser check-out system expires, his growing romance with Libby abruptly ends with Maggie deporting her through corrupt use of power, and his apprentice Jeremy turns on him through Maggie's influence.
** Randy after being demoted to Nightshift Manager, [[SanitySlippage going insane]], [[BrainwashedAndCrazy making him easily manipulated by]] the EvilDoll Baby Cookie into murder- all because he was in charge of Chad during the failed laser-check out system by [[BitchInSheepsClothing Maggie]].

** After suffering Clint's {{Jerkass}} antics (from making Chad a humiliated ButtMonkey, taking his job, and bossing around the staff, to being a BastardBoyfriend to Clarissa, and finally culminating in him kicking Jeremy's helmet while gloating about it), and the TraumaCongaLine Chad himself suffered throughout Season One, it's ''very'' satisfying when [[HeroicSecondWind Chad manages to turn the tables on Clint]] using his telekinesis and make the bully cry like the DirtyCoward he is -- ''and'' get his old job back in the process!

** Jeremy's managerial skills shining through and doing all he can to help the store in the face of Chad's tyranny would've been an excellent story arc, but it didn't happen, [[spoiler: making his promotion to general manager at the end]] feel hollow.

** Season 4 is all about Chad undergoing this by [[TookALevelInJerkass becoming increasingly unpleasant,]] [[BadBoss a terrible supervisor]] to the point he sets up a small police state complete with Storm Troopers and red robed Praetorian Guards -- emulating the tyranny of the Empire from the ''Star Wars'' franchise.
* SeasonalRot: Season 4 is not as well-received as its predecessors, due to its use of [[CelebrityStar sensational (at the time)]] [[SpecialGuest one-shot guests]] [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter who contribute little to the plot]] (unlike previous side characters) outside of showing up, [[TookALevelInJerkass Chad becoming corrupt and unlikable after finally getting the job he wanted]] and becoming a puppet for Maggie's manipulations (basically repeating Jeremy's subplot of Season 2), [[spoiler: Jeremy]] getting to be General Manager due to Chad's sudden escalating {{Jerkass}} tendencies, and [[spoiler: the entirety of Chad Vader being revealed to be a series directed by George Lucas, when this wasn't hinted before in the slightest]].

** [[CreepyAwesome Baby]] [[EvilIsCool Cookie]], the [[MaybeMagicMaybeMundane possibly]] sentient EvilDoll belonging to Hal, who goes on to [[ManipulativeBastard manipulate Randy into further insanity]] and gain a BigBad position by causing several catastrophic events in the store...while remaining adorable. Eventually, she reaches BreakoutCharacter status when she gets her own series of shorts and guest appearances on the Blame Society Comedy Thunder series.

** It may haveve been PlayedForLaughs, but who didn't feel a bit of sorrow for Weird Jimmy when, after being [[AccidentalMurder accidentally mortally stabbed]] by Jeremy, he looks up and sees his [[CompanionCube mop]] as a force ghost before passing on?
** Randy's SanitySlippage into [[AxCrazy deranged evil]] by being sent by Maggie just for being Chad's boss during the whole incident with the failed laser check out system, manipulated into attempted murder and later attempted explosive small scale terrorism by the EvilDoll Baby Cookie while losing his grips on reality.
** Chad Vader [[BigNo going NOOO]] after hearing that Maggie deported Libby after the former finds out about the latter's relationship with Chad. [[FromBadToWorse then the Marshmallow Bandito]] decides to attack Chad in his despair, not allowing him to fully mourn. This causes the latter to lash out on the HarmlessVillain with the sadness he now carries while temporally going bonkers.
** Jeremy being manipulated by Maggie into being her agent, getting evidence to deport Maggie, taking a two-week seminar to learn to be General Manager under her advice--as well as the [[DyingWish last wish of his grandpa]], undermining his mentor/friend Chad and being forced to fight Chad when the truth of his involvement with Libby comes out. In the ensuing battle, a crazed Randy attempts to murder Chad, Weird Jimmy stops him, only to [[AccidentalMurder for Jeremy to unintentionally run him through]]. And Maggie [[YouHaveFailedMe demotes him due to not living up to her expectations]], and he now has to live with the guilt of killing Jeremy (with Jeremy's Force Ghost haunting him from beyond the grave).

* JerkassWoobie: Lloyd is a womanizing, idiotic employee who abuses his position to steal items from the store, but he's also a major ButtMonkey who is more often than not, suffering abuse from his supervisor whether he deserves it- which is usual or not, when he's used as a guinea pig for Chad's experiments, being brainwashed or being humiliated for just being there.
* HilariousInHindsight: During his stay in the basement with strong Dark Side influences, Jeremy sees a vision of Maggie suddenly sprouting a fanged mouth. In 2019, Rey in [[/Film/TheRiseOfSkywalker Rise of Skywalker]] has a vision of herself in the ruins of the 2nd Death Star, which also has strong traces of the Dark Side, sees a vision of herself under the influence of the Dark Side, suddenly sprouting fangs.

* NightmareFuel: For a SliceOfLife involving Darth Vader's less successful brother, it has surprisingly dark moments.
** Clint's KickTheDog by kicking Jeremy's helmet in the finale of Season 1, his wide-eyed EvilLaugh is disturbing from the usually toned down {{Jerkass}} that he usually is.
** The trio of robots from the basement of Season two with their [[ObliviouslyEvil child-like desire to play in spite of being]] AxCrazy robots.
** Randy's SanitySlippage starting with Season Two when he begins to hallucinate that Baby Cookie can talk, killing Weird Jimmy and almost blowing up Empire Market.
*** During Chad and Jeremy's battle, a cabinet door opens to reveal a crazed Randy preparing to kill either of them and nearly stabbing Chad in the back until Jeremy got in the way.
** During his stay in the basement, Jeremy sees a vision of Maggie waving at him before she suddenly [[NightmareFace becomes monstrous]] [[FangsAreEvil complete with fangs]], perfectly symbolizing her BitchInSheepsClothing nature.
** Chad Vader almost being DrivenToSuicide in Season One after the TraumaCongaLine he had to endure until a Force Ghost talks him out of it.
** Baby Cookie in spite of her cute appearance with a DominoMask and her [[CuteButCacophonic surprisingly somewhat raspy voice]], is a [[ManipulativeBastard manipulative]], [[TheSociopath sociopathic]] being [[TheCorrupter a subtly corrupting influence who slowly drives Randy into further insanity]], [[MaybeMagicMaybeMundane her sentience being possibly a dark subconscious voice in Randy's head from his increasing madness or may actually be fully sentient]], being capable of OffscreenTeleportation, [[KnightOfCerebus her suggestions of murder and genocide are much played darker and sinister]] than the more toned {{Jerkass}} antics of Clint and Maggie. She [[OmnicidalManiac also has some very destructive impulses, culminating in her manipulation of Randy to destroy the store with an army of Baby Cookie copies strapped with bombs.]]
*** TheReveal of the extra dolls is especially creepy after Baby Cookie had been taken away from a seemingly now powerless Randy, with the latter opening up a set of six lockers to show at least six dolls and Randy wearing Baby Cookie's DominoMask with vertical diamond slits with a SlasherSmile.
** Even though they're played for BlackComedy, Chad's [[ImagineSpot imagined attempts of killing Maggie in a variety of increasingly aggressive ways]] are surprisingly violent.
** Weird Jimmy's JumpScare reveal that he's now a Ghost when Jeremy believes he's gotten off the hook.
** The fact that Chad Vader can use [[ShockAndAwe Force Lightning]] unlike Darth Vader. If Chad was on the same level as his brother due to not having the same handicap and not being restricted to a SliceOfLife series, he'd be an even more dangerous Sith Lord than his brother.
** Lloyd [[BrainwashedAndCrazy hypnotized by Chad]] goes into a toilet stall with a customer inside, pulling out a taser while chanting [[MadnessMantra clean the toliet]] as the screen turns to black as the poor customer is shocked. The monochrome-esque lighting does not help matters at all.
** Weird Jimmy [[DemonicPossession deciding to]] [[GrandTheftMe possess the body of]] Jonny- his own brother [[AssholeVictim even if the man stole from the church]]- [[FightingFromTheInside even briefly fighting from the inside]] [[DeathOfPersonality before Jimmy completely took over from that point onwards]].
** Chad escalating his BadBoss tendencies by bringing out Storm Troopers in addition to the red robed PraetorianGuard belonging to [[Film/ReturnOfTheJedi Emperor Palpatine]], fully emulating the tyrannical aspect of his brother. He has his new agents monitor the store and threatens the staff to work indefinitely under alternative of '''death'''.
*** Not helped by the fact that his first action as "Lord Vader" is to [[ShockAndAwe use Force Lightning]] into Lloyd's mouth for annoying him- a disturbing step up from his usual antics.
