* AwardSnub: It can feel truly mystifying that this movie and it’s spectacular, well-lit views of the mountains and their prehistoric animal inhabitants throughout multiple seasons failed to even get nominated for the Best Cinematography Oscar.

* TearJerker: Watching Tau desperately calling to his son after he falls off the cliff in the beginning is incredibly heartbreaking, especially when it's implied that he kept calling to him for ''several hours'' in an attempt to see if he was still alive.

* NightmareFuel: The scene near the end where Keda and Alpha see a house with a man sitting outside in the distance, raising the hopes of finally getting shelter after all the troubles they've faced... only to come closer and realize that the man is little more than a frozen corpse.
