* With Creator/MontyOum's [[AuthorExistenceFailure untimely passing]], there are a few things about ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}'' which may never come to pass.
** One of those would have been him voicing Qrow Branwen, Ruby's old scythe trainer and HonoraryUncle. Qrow was recast, with Creator/VicMignogna taking the role in Volumes 3-6, then Creator/JasonLiebrecht replacing him in Volume 7.
** During the epic FoodFight scene in "The Best Day Ever", Ren was supposed to fight using cucumbers. It was ultimately shot down and replaced with leeks because, no matter what they did, it looked like Ren was fighting Yang "with a pair of dicks".
*** One of the food items Yang was supposed to have caught was a cherry. They was just a ''little'' too risque.
** Warner Bros. Japan asked Burnie Burns to have an episode to include a HotSpringsEpisode in the future. Burnie staunchly refused because Ruby is underage.
** During RTX 2016, one fan asked if they wanted to do more [[spoiler:dead Pyrrha references]] in ''WebAnimation/RWBYChibi''. According to Miles Luna, they wanted to do one skit where Pyrrha gets ketchup on her and Jaune, seeing the splotch, freaks out.

** [[https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-Wvz6X-tvFn_wQqgQCQEShi87xXM77Ox5ITRnCLSir8/preview?sle=true The 2014 pick-ups]] had many well-known reviewers among the rejected. Many in hindsight considered it a dodged bullet;
*** [[WebVideo/RebelTaxi Pan Pizza]] was picked up by TGWTG during the 2014 talent search. However he ended up missing a Skype call with the management to discuss his being added to the site, and was dropped from Channel Awesome without having uploaded a single video.
*** Before Pan Pizza there was [[LetsPlay/TheKingOfHate DarksydePhil]] who was [[https://twitter.com/TheyCallMeDSP/status/984687039529537536 picked up by TGWTG in 2011]] shortly before his Blip.tv account was terminated; since CA used Blip exclusively from late 2008 to mid-2014, DSP was dropped before he could add any videos to the site.
*** [[https://mrenter.deviantart.com/journal/So-let-s-talk-about-ChangetheChannel-740094361 Per his own words]], WebVideo/TheMysteriousMrEnter had applied to join Channel Awesome in the past.
*** Many others applied for the channel, such as Creator/MarcMues, [[Creator/JoshScorcher Josh Schorcher/The Fiery Joker/Commander Firebrand]], WebVideo/CinematicExcrement, WebVideo/TVTrash and Webvideo/MusicalHell. They also regard that as a bullet dodged.
*** [[WebVideo/FeedingTheTrolls CuteFuzzyWeasel]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQV2vBzCjiM also apparently]] tried to apply, but he didn't put enough effort into applying and his content back then is an OldShame for him.
*** In 2009, WebVideo/PatTheNesPunk [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubJFTKUlMxc tried to apply]], but was told via email by Rob that his content wasn't good enough and to try again. Pat said that was the best he got, told Rob to "take it or leave it", and never got a response back. Considering how things ultimately fared for the site, this might have been for the better for him...

* Creator/HarlanEllison started a Youtube channel in 2013, after decades of being suspicious of new technology and contrarian to anything new. He had a debilitating stroke the very next year and only posted a handful of videos before his death (the vast majority of the videos on his channel are short commentaries that were shown on the Sci-Fi Channel back in the 90s.) The few videos he did produced are some of the best reviews and video essays to be found on Youtube.

*** In the Atop The Fourth Wall Movie, Linkara did have plans, in case those who he plan to appear decided not to do the Film, incuding Nash not agreed to be in the Film, his Role would have been given to Spoony and had Obscurus Lupa not appeared, the Nostalgia Critic would have been given a larger role, with a Side Story of how the others don't really like him, with Nineties Kid opening up to him, and trying to be supportive to the Critic?

* Right before personal issues and a nasty divorce forced Jack Butler into shutting down the ''Roleplay/GlobalGuardiansPBEMUniverse'', there had been annoucements and development for three more storyline avenues, including one which would explore the history of the world during the 50s and 60s, one which would have moved a team of heroes into space, and a third supernatural horror story that would delve into the mystic and magical aspects of the world.

** They initially decided to abridge the Buu Saga, but it ran into similar problems as ''Bojack'', which, combined with their fears of copyright strikes, caused them to decide to end the series altogether.

* There was supposed to be a season 4 of ''WebAnimation/TVTomeAdventures'', which would have tied up all loose ends, make several [[TheReveal reveals]], introduce the true [[BigBad Big Bad]], [[spoiler:Dark Eyes of Anubis]], and feature an epic conclusion battle with Alpha. Naturally, [[ScheduleSlip the creator, Chris Niosi, had to go to college before that could happen]], and so the series was left with an uneven 73 episodes instead of the planned 100. When Niosi finally got out of college, he was no longer in touch with the people he worked with and [[TheRemake just redid the whole thing]].
