* AnAesop: Most episodes, particularly the flashback episodes, impart some life lesson at the end.

** Bumblebee's design is based heavily on his body from later installments of the [[ComicBook/TheTransformersIDW IDW comics]] continuity[[note]]there based on his "Thrilling 30" ''Generations'' figure[[/note]], but he has the damaged voice box from his [[{{Film/Transformers}} movie]] and ''WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime'' incarnations, as well as his ''[[WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated Animated]]'' counterpart's [[ShockAndAwe stingers.]]

* DropTheHammer: Maccadam and Rack'N'Ruin's weapon of preference.

* VocalEvolution: During the pre-War era, Megatron's voice sounded more similar to [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformers the original's]] slightly wheezy rasp. During the current story, it's more similar to his [[VideoGame/TransformersWarForCybertron video game]] incarnation. Of note, when Megatron agrees to talk peacefully with Optimus and they start to reconnect, his gravelly BadassBaritone give way to his softer, original voice.

''Transformers: Cyberverse'' is a ''Franchise/{{Transformers}}'' cartoon. The series started airing its first season on September 1, 2018, with each season aired as "Chapters", while Chapter Two: Power of the Spark began airing on September 7, 2019 and Chapter Three: Bumblebee - Cyberverse Adventures began airing on March 15, 2020. Each episode is only 11 minutes long, unlike previous ''Transformers'' shows which all had the ordinary 22-minute runtime. It is developed by Creator/BoulderMedia, and it aired on Creator/CartoonNetwork.

Not to be confused with the [[NamesTheSame 2011 toyline of the same name.]]

* ADayInTheLimeLight: Kup serves as the narrator for the final episodes of the Quintesson Arc, "The End of the Universe."

* AnAxeToGrind: Optimus returns to using an axe after being associated with swords in the Aligned years (well, [[WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime the shows]] [[WesternAnimation/TransformersRobotsInDisguise at least]], not [[VideoGame/TransformersWarForCybertron the]] [[VideoGame/TransformersFallOfCybertron associated]] [[VideoGame/TransformersRiseOfTheDarkSpark games]]).

* ColonyDrop: Season 2 begins right in the middle of a Decepticon operation to drive the Moon into the Earth.

* InnocentlyInsensitive: When Windblade is captured by the Decepticons Teletraan-X tries to console Bumblebee with the fact that she was not a crew member. This doesn't help the situation.

* TransformingMecha

** Megatron and Optimus before the war. Megatron also seems to have been rather fond of Bumblebee as well.

* AnAxeToGrind: Optimus's returns to using an axe after being associated with swords in the Aligned years (well, [[WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime the shows]] [[WesternAnimation/TransformersRobotsInDisguise at least]], not [[VideoGame/TransformersWarForCybertron the]] [[VideoGame/TransformersFallOfCybertron associated]] [[VideoGame/TransformersRiseOfTheDarkSpark games]]).

* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters: The cast starts out fairly manageable, but starts to expand rapidly.

** [[spoiler: Season 2 has the Autobots finally returning to Cybertron and revived it with the power of the All-Spark. However, the Decepticons are already awaiting them there to ambush them]].

* KnightOfCerebus: Most of the series is rather lighthearted, but Megatron ends up significantly darkening the tone when he appears, with "Megatron is My Hero" highlighting his gradually escalating series of horrible actions in the name of power. [[spoiler:He eventually ''beats Starscream to death'' in retaliation for an attempted coup. [[HeGotBetter Starscream recovers somehow]].]]

* PortalCrossroadWorld: [[spoiler: Unspace. Wheeljack initally theorizes that it serves as the space between Spacebridges. Over the course of the series finale, we learn that it serves this role for Spacebridges across the {{Multiverse}}.]]

The first TV movie, ''The Immobilizers'', was uploaded to [=YouTube=] on November 6, 2021.

* AdaptationalIntelligence: Most Sharkticons are characterized as barely sentient animals. Here they had their own civilization before their planet was destroyed.

** None of the Dinobots besides Grimlock appear.

* MythologyGag:
** Grimlock previously had a mouthplate-less appearance in the ''[[WesternAnimation/TransformersRobotsInDisguise Robots in Disguise (2015)]]'' cartoon.[[note]]He does have a faceplate in "Eruption".[[/note]]
** Grimlock being of normal intelligence in robot mode but savage and dim-witted in dinosaur mode calls back to a few different comic storylines, and partially to ''VideoGame/TransformersFallOfCybertron''.
** This is not the first time Wheeljack has a mustache. He previously possessed one in ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated'' and his Masterpiece "MP-20" toy (via a hidden faceplate).
** Slipstream is the leader of the seekers this time, being co-leaders with Starscream. Back in ''Animated'', she managed to convince the other Starscream clones to turn against him.
** Optimus and Megatron [[WeUsedToBeFriends used to be friends]], just like in the Aligned continuity.
** The iconic "Til All Are One" line is recited, but this time by ''Megatron'' in his NewEraSpeech.
** Windblade is a Cityspeaker, just like her [[ComicBook/TheTransformersWindblade IDW incarnation]].
** [[RetCanon As has become a staple of the character]], Megatron is a gladiator turned political revolutionary turned conqueror.
** While searching his memory for information about the "King of Dinosaurs," Bumblebee stumbles across a memory of [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformersTheMovie Starscream wearing a crown]] before brushing it aside.
** As seen across various Transformers media, Grimlock was stranded on prehistoric Earth, took on the form of a dinosaur, and was frozen in stasis lock until the present day.
** Grimlock wearing a crown, as well as the crown's appearance, is much like how Grimlock wore a crown while he was in command of the Autobots for a while in the 1980's Marvel Comics.
** Grimlock again - he often manages to imitate his G1 animated speech pattern by, as part of an otherwise normal sentence, somehow incorporating "...me, Grimlock ..." in it, though he sometimes replaces it with "I, Grimlock", which ''itself'' is a reference to how he spoke when he gained super-intelligence in the G1 episode "Grimlock's New Brain", where he created the Technobots.
** Similarly, the Allspark was sent away from Cybertron during the Great War to protect it from the Decepticons.
** [[spoiler: The Ark crashed into and was buried under Mt. St Hilary with the Autobots in stasis, just like in the original cartoon.]]
** The dinosaurs that Grimlock is seen hanging out with in his video log are based on the [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformers typical]] [[VideoGame/TransformersFallOfCybertron collection]] [[Film/TransformersAgeOfExtinction of Dinobots]], but also newcomer Titans Return Slash and ''WesternAnimation/BeastWars'' Dinobot.
** Initially, Shockwave remains behind on Cybertron while Megatron leads the primary Decepticon Forces in pursuit of the Autobots.
** Alpha Trion selects a young Optimus to become the next Prime and lead the Autobots against Megatron's Decepticons.
** Bumblebee loses his voice and two points, first becoming mute like his Aligned counterpart and then having to rely on media samples to communicate like his live-action movie counterpart.
** The cortical psychic patch from ''WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime'' returns as a way to explore memories.
** Cybertron's colonies, specifically Velocitron and Caminus, have appeared or been mentioned.
** [[BigFun Maccadam's]] general design is very similar to [[WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime Alchemist Prime]], one of the original Thirteen Primes. [[spoiler:His [[ThatWasHisTrueForm kill-you-dead alternate mode]] has the same silhouette as Amalgamous Prime, another of the Thirteen. In some continuities both exist together, and in others only one or the other does.]]
** [[spoiler: Starscream claims to have come BackFromTheDead after his beating at the hands of Megatron, something that has happened to other incarnations of the character across the franchise.]]
** Season Two, having a short off-screen TimeSkip of a few years, takes place in 2007. This is the year and the setting for [[Film/{{Transformers}} the first live-action film]].
** Starscream gains phenomenal cosmic power [[spoiler:from the Allspark]], and it makes him come across as slightly insane. This is basically what happened in the Marvel Comics continuity after he downloaded the Underbase and became all-powerful and completely nuts.
** Hot Rod is an avid fan of space boarding referencing the IDW version's love of meteor surfing.
** The ship that abducts Croaton's citizens bares a striking resemblance to the corkscrew-like starships flown by the Quintessons in the original series.
** [[spoiler: The Soundwaves in The Scientist's collection share the same design as Cyberverse Soundwave, but their color schemes reference a number of alternate versions of the character including the Shattered Glass Soundwave and Soundwave's purple coloration in the Marvel comics.]]
** The [[spoiler: Perfect Decepticons]] that appear at the end of the series are modeled after [[spoiler:Tarn]] from ''ComicBook/TransformersMoreThanMeetsTheEye''. Similarly, [[spoiler:[[AlternateSelf Megatron X's]] black color scheme references several toys of G1 Megatron that gave him a black color scheme]].
** The first part of the season 3 opener ''The Battle of Cybertron'' ends with [[spoiler: the Decepticons destroying the Ark, and seemingly killing the Autobots until the second part reveals they abandoned the Ark before it's destruction.]] This is a plot that has appeared in the Transformers franchise 3 times before, occurring originally in ''Megatron's Master Plan'' from [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformers the original cartoon]], being reused in ''ComicBook/TransformersTwilightsLastGleaming'', the comic story from the UK Magazine released after ''Film/{{Transformers}}'' and then being reused again in ''Film/TransformersDarkOfTheMoon'', although none of the prior examples have the Autobots travelling in [[spoiler:the Ark]] and they feature the Autobots being exiled from Earth, whereas here they are [[spoiler:returning to Cybertron.]]

* BigBad: Megatron.
** DragonAscendant: Starscream became this during Seasons 2 and 3 wanting to destroy all robots and other creatures in the universe as revenge for Megatron kicking him out.

* ToylessToylineCharacter: Some characters don't receive representation in the line, but as most of the cast is based on established characters within the franchise, they can be found represented within the Generations line.
