However, while there ''was'' a Titans cartoon at that time, it used the original line up (Speedy, Kid Flash, Aqualad and Wonder Girl -- [[ScrewedByTheLawyers Robin couldn't appear as Filmation didn't have the Batman license at the time]]). Beast Boy wouldn't be a Titan until the creation of Titans West and Starfire, Raven and Cyborg wouldn't appear until the '80s.

* MeetYourEarlyInstallmentWeirdness: The ''Go!'' Titans are left confused and at times even jealous by their 2003 counterparts who are far more serious and better at being superheroes. Both 2013 and 2003 Robins hate each other greatly while the other Titans slowly bond over their similarities, parting ways amicably at the end of the film while 2003 Robin keeps making fun of his 2013 self.

Natter; has nothing to do with the trope, documents an audience reaction and has speculation.

** The emphasis on the seriousness of any particular team seemed to start on the TV show as a running TakeThat joke from TTG's staff resenting being compared to the original series, a joke not necessarily received warmly by fans. The movie, more diplomatically, points out ''any'' version of the Titans are as campy as needs allows and it's all relative.

* HundredPercentAdorationRating: 2003 Robin is highly respected by both teams as a good leader and competent superhero, unlike the 2013 Robin. Special mention to 2013 Starfire, who is much more enamored with him than she is with 2013 Robin.
