* OffscreenTeleportation: Characters have a habit of simply firing their slugs and not making an effort to collect them, even if they use them during high speed chases, yet they all have a full arsenal ready at all times, unless specific plot reasons dictate otherwise. Normally it at least shows the slugs hopping their way back to their owners, but no one loses them even during extremely long distance chases. Halfway through the first season we see that [[spoiler: slugs have their own fast travel system by way of small tunnels with heavy airflow that they can ride to almost any desired location]].

''Sugterra'' is a Canadian-produced animated action/adventure series set in more or less our world with one pretty big exception: the existence of a sprawling underworld called Slugterra. The series is set entirely in this subterranean land and follows Eli Shane and his new friends as they travel and act as protectors of the people. It is basically a {{Mons}} series with a [[AbnormalAmmo twist]].

For generations, the men of the Shane family have acted as protectors of Slugterra. When Will Shane mysteriously disappears, Slugterra is left without a Shane. However, in the last moments before his disappearance, he sent one of his slugs, Burpy, to his son on the surface. A few years later, honoring a deal he made with his father to wait until his fifteenth birthday, Eli Shane journeys down to Slugterra to follow in his father's footsteps and become protector of Slugterra.

Eli quickly makes friends to help him in protecting Slugterra: Pronto, the Molenoid (self proclaimed) master tracker; Trixie, the girl with the camera, ready to document the world; and Kord, the strong cave troll/team mechanic.

A new spin on the Mons concept, this show is brought to you by Creator/NerdCorpsEntertainment, the creators of ''WesternAnimation/DragonBooster'', ''WesternAnimation/StormHawks'', ''WesternAnimation/HotWheelsBattleForce5'', ''WesternAnimation/LeagueOfSuperEvil'', and by the StealthPun of guns that shoot literal live slugs.

The show ran for 6 seasons and 63 episodes between September 3, 2012 and October 25, 2016, originally airing on Creator/DisneyXD in the United States and Creator/FamilyCHRGD in its native Canada as the latter channel's first original series.

Reality Ensues has been renamed to Surprisingly Realistic Outcome following this TRS thread: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=1586665412072915200

* RealityEnsues: A season one episode has the Shane Gang destroy Blakk's [[PsychoSerum Dark Water]] pumping operation. No more Ghouls, right? Wrong. As Shane and the other's note, Blakk is sure to have a surplus stocked away somewhere. Sure enough, the final shot of the episode shows that Blakk has a large vault filled with barrels of the stuff.
** Of course, reality bites Blakk later on, when the Gang start noticing that Blakk's men have started using regular Slugs. While Blakk's supply of Dark Water is ''large'', it's still ''finite''. Combined with the Shane Gang curing Ghouls left and right, Blakk's reached the point where, until a new source can be found, he has to start rationing Dark Water.
