* InvisibleAdvertising: The show wasn't acknowledged until the start of 2011, a solid three months after its debut.

* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: The show has never gotten a DVD release at all and it was pulled from [=iTunes=] around its cancellation. It was also cancelled after ten episodes -- all of which were fifteen minutes long. However, it's accessible via torrents, and a couple of episodes ("Bling Thing"[[note]]the second episode where Thrasher and Blastus sell their coolant to get upgrades and impress everyone in school[[/note]] and "Playdate"[[note]]the episode where Thrasher and Blastus babysit Maimie's little brother. It had Creator/GilbertGottfried as a "My Monster Buddy"-style toy that leads a revolution against robot toddlers[[/note]]) have aired on Creator/CartoonNetwork's revived installment show ''WesternAnimation/CartoonPlanet''.

* NoExportForYou: This trope was part of what caused the show's demise. Creator/CartoonNetwork couldn't convince ''any'' foreign networks to air it, due to its violent content, and as a result they saw no point in pushing it, so it became the [[ShortRunners shortest-lived Cartoon Network original]].

* QuirkyWork: A kid's show about robots going to school is one thing, but one where something (or someone) is destroyed every other scene, the cast is almost entirely mentally unstable, and the entire planet is a war zone.

* RobotHair: Maimy, Megawatt, Mr. Dreadnot and various side and background characters all have "hair".

Blastus painting a picture of his mom and him hugging is [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything treated by his mother as filthy pornography]].

* BloodlessCarnage: '''The whole show.''' Keep in mind, though, that they ''are'' robots that don't bleed (though they do leak coolant), so it's sorta justified.

The show did reappear on the short-lived revival of ''WesternAnimation/CartoonPlanet'' between 2012 and 2013 and the entire series was on Netflix until early 2015. On Janaury 9, 2015, the series premiered on the Canadian version of Cartoon Network (not Teletoon; a Cartoon Network feed that's available in Canada).

* AlphaBitch: Maimy. One of the most popular girls in school and just as violent and hot-tempered as every other robot. She also has an on-and-off relationship with RichBastard Megawatt and has taken advantage of Thrasher’s crush on her on multiple occasions. In "El Presidente", she even started dating Thrasher when he became student body president, only to reveal that she only did it to become vice president and overthrow him.

* WorldOfJerkass: The inhabitants of Planet Insanus are [[ItsAllAboutMe self-centered]] at best and [[TheSociopath sociopaths]] at worst. Though it makes sense since in [[BlueAndOrangeMorality Planet Insanus culture]], robots are actively ''encouraged'' to be AxCrazy [[{{Jerkass}} jerkasses]]. Any robot that is peaceful and kind is treated as clinically insane and ostracized, if not outright exterminated, as the episode "No Child Left Benign" establishes.

[[ShortRunners Only lasted one season]] of ten '''eleven minute''' episodes because of high production costs and a lack of foreign investment to balance it out (no one outside of the United States wanted to even touch it because the show's excessive violence and rude, suggestive humor would subject it to major censorship in other countries). The show now has somewhat of a cult following, and had an [[SendingStuffToSaveTheShow unsuccessful Facebook campaign to save the show]].

* PracticallyDifferentGenerations: The teenaged Thrasher and Maimy have a little sister and a little brother respectively, who are both infants.
