* ShownTheirWork: Aurora, Bori, and Alice are female reindeer that have antlers. Reindeer/caribou are the only species of deer in which the females have antlers like the males, and unlike the males which shed their antlers during the autumn or early winter, females keep theirs all year long (hence why it would be female reindeer working for the winter holidays with their magical antlers). Also, stylization aside, they look more like real-life reindeer than most reindeer in animated Christmas specials, particularly having just two nostrils rather than dog-like noses that may be [[WesternAnimation/RudolphTheRedNosedReindeer shiny]].

* FreakOut: Discussed. Twilight, as is typical of her SuperOCD, is worrying about getting everything ready for Hearth's Warming Eve, to the point Applejack refers to it as a "traditional holiday meltdown" when she lays eyes on Twilight in the marketplace. Shining Armor is also quite used to it, referring to Twilight's freak-out as "going Twily-nanas."
