''Sonic the Continuation'' is another FanSequel webcomic to ''ComicBook/SonicTheComic''. It is written by Website/DeviantArt artist Tom Campbell, better known as [[https://www.deviantart.com/okida Okida]] and the co-writer of ''Webcomic/GhostsOfTheFuture'', and drawn by him, [=Dreamcastzx1=], and [=ProfessorZolo=] ([[BleachedUnderpants Keep in mind]] the latter two's art are often ''NSFW''), which can viewed on his [=DeviantArt=] page starting with [[https://www.deviantart.com/okida/art/S-T-C-Issue-0-Cover-409648197 Issue 0]].

* AdaptationalAttractiveness: Sally is given a redesign, making her look less squirrel-like than she does in the canon comics, now outright sporting her revamped design from the rebooted continuity of ''ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics'', down to the same outfit and hairstyle as well ([[BetaOutfit although she sported a blue blouse and slicked hairstyle]] in Issue #0 before taking on her current look. Also, unlike the official Archie comics, [[BoobsOfSteel her womanly curves are also far more pronounced here]]).

* PatchworkFic: Characters and references from other adaptations appear. For example, [[spoiler:Topaz, Cosmo and the Metarex]] from ''Anime/SonicX'' are added into the plot, while Shahra from ''VideoGame/SonicAndTheSecretRings'' appears in a mini-series and Rouge's father gets trapped in the Void from ''WesternAnimation/SonicTheHedgehogSatAM''. Uncle Chuck, from the last show, appears as well, being implied to have always been helping The Freedom Fighters in the shadows, and WordOfGod is that Bunnie Rabbot, once again from [=SatAM=], [[RelatedInTheAdaptation is Vanilla's sister and, as such, Cream's aunt]]. In Issue 19, [[WesternAnimation/SonicUnderground The Underground]] is introduced.

* HotterAndSexier: The issues drawn by [=DreamcastZX1=] feature Amy, Sally, Ebony, Rouge, Christina, Tekno and even Receptionik as far more voluptuous and shapely than in canon. Rouge in particular is given a big set of GagBoobs.

* AdaptationalVillainy: Shadow. He willingly helps Robotnik reestablish his [[DystopiaJustifiesTheMeans tyrannycal dictatorship]] and even destroys Emerald Hill Zone. Sonic even lampshaded it by comparing Shadow with his ''Webcomic/GhostsOfTheFuture'' counterpart.

** The Kintobor Computer, after having seemingly vanished in Issue 2, returned in Issue 19,having been given a new body resembling Kintobor's original body. Apparently, he used the nanites of [[ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics Nicole's]] ''Webcomic/GhostsOfTheFuture'' counterpart to build it.

* HesBack: [[spoiler:Commander Brutus is revealed to have survived as a disembodied head and intended to take advantage of G.U.N. in order to make a comeback before moving his timing when the Commander intends to destroy the Metarex which he intends to examine for himself.]]

** Receptionik (a minor caracter in the original run) got this, getting larger breasts, HartmanHips, legs and being far prettier overall than in the original run. There is a reason she got AscendedExtra. She does seem to like her legs, as she was rooted to Robotnik's base before.

* AdaptationalBackstoryChange: The E-Series were designed by Kintobor before he became Robotnik. As such, they have no organic batteries, allowing Gamma, [[AdaptationalHeroism Delta, Epsilon and Zeta]] to be SparedByAdaptation, and [[DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation changing the reason Beta dies.]] Now the four live as Cream's Robot Buddies, like Gemerl in the games, much to Vanilla's shock. (Although, Vanilla met Gamma while she was still pregnant- check InterspeciesFriendship below).
