* BackstoryHorror: The Great War. So far it's only been talked about in the wiki, not the comics themselves. The witches of Chaosah were .
* BackgroundMagicField: Rea, like Mana but stored external to the user in the environment; discussed in the wiki but not yet in the comic, but shown in the comic in panel 8 of episode 33.

* DisproportionateRetribution: What does Pepper do when the other girls won't come to her party? Summon some demons! Subverted though,
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Pepper looks a lot younger in episode one than she does in later episodes. She also seems to have black hair instead of dark brown and is wearing a different outfit.

Pepper's other mentors, Thyme and Cumin, both have some similarities to Nanny Ogg; basically, Thyme is more similar personality-wise, whereas Cumin has a closer physical resemblance. Outside of the canon storyline, David Revoy co-authored an intercontinuity crossover webcomicfor more details about this, see its own entry below, which contains a gag where a character from a different webcomic meets Cayenne and mistakes her for Granny Weatherwax.

* IntercontinuityCrossover: There's a crossover webcomic titled Superflu vs Pepper&Carrot it was originally posted one episode at a time by its two authors on their accounts at Framasoft's Mastodon server, running for 13 episodes in total, and later on, a user of Framasoft's Gitlab server named Luc Didry collected the entire series on a single static Gitlab Pages web page hosted there; be warned, though, that one of its episodes is mildly NSFW, so it won't be linked to from here, which is a crossover between a bande dessinée / webcomic titled Les aventures inutiles de Superflu (by Simon "Gee" Giraudot) and Pepper&Carrot, made as a collaboration between their authorsodd-numbered episodes are credited to Gee, whereas even-numbered episodes are credited to David Revoy. The aforementioned Expy similarities between Cayenne and one of Literature/Discworlds characters are used as a source of humor in its 9th episode, when the eponymous character from Les aventures inutiles de Superflu meets Cayenne and introduces himself thusly: "Oh, hello Granny Weatherwax! I don't remember: have you brought me to Gryffindor or to Isengard? And have you seen the stylish turban that someone put on me?!"For context: he's acting disoriented here because he suffered a head injury in the 8th episode, as a result of having tried to ride on a Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner as if it were a witch's flying broom; the "turban" that he mentioned is actually a head bandage. David Revoy clearly found this very amusing, as can be seen in a comment that he posted as a reply to episode 9's original Mastodon post.
