* SleepingTheirWayToTheTop: Tied in a knot in "talent quest". First invoked by the Who Fucked The Most Judges contest. A woman eagerly signs up to try and exploit the trope, only for everyone around her to defy it. She runs into another, "official" judge who is also not getting any, and is wondering whether the contest is even real or a subversion to try and turn her on. The two decide to solve their mutual frustration together... thus tying for first place in the contest (which, judging by the empty pedestals, had no other qualifiers).

* DeliberateValuesDissonance: The strip Better Angels has a man being hit with the existential dread of his inevitable death. A shoulder angel shows up and points out that the world of oglaf has explicitly proven afterlives, so the dread is meaningless; no one dies, they just go somewhere else.

** In "This Could Happen," the disciples of Sithrak go proselytizing: "God hates us unreservedly!" "So why shouldn't a woman in a blonde wig fuck a door-to-door evangelist in front of his dorky friend?" (The comic's world being what it is, they actually get some takers!...not quite like how they imagined, but they rolled with it. Until some guy wanted them all to be tied to the post while watching two dogs have sex with the blonde wig on the bitch)

** The defendant in "In Summary" reasons that if he looks sexy but doesn't sleep with strangers, society won't trust him; if he dislikes them but doesn't kill them, they won't consider his feelings; and if he doesn't eat their corpses, carnivorous animals will disrespect him. So he had to be a seducer, murderer and cannibal in order to be respectable and trustworthy!
