%%* * SliceOfLife: Supposedly.Initially, the series starts off as mundane, with the only instance of anything "weird" about the genre being the fact that the main characters are cat girls. [[spoiler:However, the series eventually delves into CerebusSyndrome.]]

* CrossDressingVoices: Hitoshi and Bokutachi are actually voiced by females, albeit altered to sound more masculine.

Added DiffLines:

* AndKnowingIsHalfTheBattle: Out of random, ''NNSG'' came back in 2020 to bring attention and general safety information concerning the COVID-19 epidemic. There weren't many jokes for it, but it was framed as a video sent to Raku from Koneko-chan.

Added DiffLines:

**While Raku-Chan’s voice leans into this, she’s more of CuteButCacophonic most of the time. The school nurse’s voice, on the other hand, is this constantly. Her voice actress seems to make a habit of being too loud and close to the mic.

By around the third episode (and earlier, if you check the tags in the first video) it becomes apparent that ''Nyan~ Neko Sugar Girls'' is probably a StealthParody of Western {{Otaku}} culture, and many viewers consider the creators to be [[{{Troll}} Trolls]] of [[Fanfic/MyImmortal Tara Gilesbie]] proportions. However, the creators do have a trove of concept art and character designs that implies that this was a sincere project at some point in its inception.
