''Hate Plus'' is the sequel to ''VisualNovel/AnalogueAHateStory'', the VisualNovel developed in UsefulNotes/RenPy by the Canadian author Creator/ChristineLove. It started as plans for a DownloadableContent package for the original game, but ultimately became something even bigger than the original novel, to the point of turning into a full game on its own right rather than an ExpansionPack, with features like [[OldSaveBonus being affected by variables in your saved game of the original]].

** You can skip to the next day by [[spoiler:selecting your save file and pressing "S"]], but [[NoFairCheating the author will call you a "jerkface".]] You can also do this by manipulating your system's date/time settings and save yourself the insult but doing it incorrectly will trip one of UsefulNotes/RenPy's own game-stopping checks (eg. Accidentally loading a save file that's time stamped in the future will cause an engine crash).

* AmbiguousDisorder: Kim So-yi displays quite a few diagnostic criteria for UsefulNotes/AspergerSyndrome: highly logical thought processes, inability to read facial cues, extremely tight focus on [[spoiler:the Radiation Problem]], and SesquipedalianLoquaciousness. Notably, though, she has a healthy and supportive relationship with her husband, who doesn't seem put off by her quirks at all.

** Old *Mute has a definite inspiration from Old Snake from ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid4'', also a badass elderly sequel version of a character who is cynical and associated with smoking.
