* PayEvilUntoEvil: If you activate the [[spoiler: Doll Maker]], you're basically required to use the lolpy disc to find people in your apartment building to sacrifice. Sending the Doll Maker after Lucas removes ''both of them'' as threats for the rest of the run.]]

** There's an additional "1337 Mode", where the difficulty is amplified to ludicrous extremes. There are no saves whatsoever, all threats are active from the beginning, there's no tutorial, you don't start off with a free Remote VPN nor any DOS Coin or Back Doors aside from 1 each, all hacks are maxed out in difficulty and the player can't force them.

Per TRS, this is YMMV

* SequelDifficultySpike: The first game really only had a few mechanics (i.e. look out for kidnappers, hide when they're there, find codes in pages, and counter-hack). This game more than doubles that. You have to watch out for around five people out to hunt you (each with their own means to deter them), deal with power outages, traverse through a very large apartment to grab deliveries, check source codes, make money, and a few other things in addition to those that carried over from the first game.

* DifficultButAwesome: Deflecting hacks in this game is much more annoying than in the previous one; but if you figure out each one, you can use cheap Backdoor Hacks and use tricks to intentionally get yourself hacked more frequently to rack up a lot of [=DOSCoin=] in the early game.

* FridgeLogic: During the game the Noir will kill you if you happen to switch off too many lights in your adpartement. So it makes sense that Adam would just [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness order the Noir to finish you off if, by switching off the lights, you don't provide him a good show]]]].

Disambiguating; deleting and renaming wicks as appropriate. Moved to discussion

* {{GIFT}}: Played with, in that this is the deep web and relatively few "normal" people have access to it. The opening scene with Amalea involves a vote for whether she should live or die, while she's visibly terrified and fleeing for her life. The vote is ''overwhelmingly'' for her to be killed, and the chat of the stream will be populated mostly with requests for body parts to be sent to them, or talking about how well they get off to what's going on. That being said, the game still provides some people who vote "live" and the chat will occasionally have messages like "contacting the police/FBI" or "you guys are sick" pop up, showing that EveryoneHasStandards.

Fridge examples are either supposed to be on YMMV pages, or a work's dedicated Fridge page. Also, this is more of a plausible Fridge Brilliance example, so I'll be moving this example from here and moving it to the YMMV page.
