Commented out some ZCEs.

!!''Transcendence eXtended 2'' includes examples of:

* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: A number of ships fall into this category, namely the Therrusian's largest ship...
* NonStandardGameOver: Even more-so than the game its based off of.

Has nothing to do with familiarity with in-universe fiction.

** Subverted with the Collective Project, whose fluff text is absolutely laden with [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial suspiciously specific denials]], [[VideoGame/EscapeVelocity shout-outs to an example of this trope played straight]], and just [[ShmuckBait shmuck bait]] in general, looking like a perfect ClicheStorm about to happen, the [[FailsafeFailure failsafes]] the [[GenreSavvy designers put in]] do not fail - thus subverting and defying the trope in one blow.

Okay. Trope entries do not get second level bullets. Each trope gets its own entry; they are never doubled up and especially never tripled up. One of these entries has committed both of these crimes against editing. Double curly braces do not go around multi-word trope names. Audience reaction tropes like Moment Of Awesome do not get linked from the main page. Tropes go in alphabetical order. Entries end with punctuation marks. "Who's" and "whose" are NOT interchangeable. Tropes are NOT subverted "a little" or "completely". It's pointless to pothole a trope name to itself. Creators do NOT get to put Word Of God on their own pages, especially not as a trope entry. It would almost be easier to list the things this page has done correctly.

* AIIsACrapshoot: Subverted a little when compared to Transcendence - [[spoiler: the Luminous aren't so rogue as they once appeared - the AI is just being a bit of a {{MagnificentBastard}}]]

* ImportedAlienPhlebotinum: Even more of this gets added in with the Therrusian traders, who import it from beyond the quarantine zone.
* BiggerIsBetter: The scale of so many things in this {{GameMod}} are increased.
** CoolStarship: A large number of the spacecraft added are substantially larger than the average ship from the original game - and with [[JustifiedTrope good reason]]: this was done to balance a number of the factions against each other by giving them StandardScifiFleet; otherwise FridgeLogic would ensue and people would wonder why the more powerful factions [[JustShootHim wouldn't just squash their weaker enemies]].
** {{BFG}} / WaveMotionGun / ImpossiblyCoolWeapon: There are a number of CoolButInefficient [[UselessUsefulItem weapons]] that are ridiculously powerful but cannot be used by the player (without cheating, of course), all for various plot-related reasons.
** Fleet battles are just [[SoCoolItsAwesome epic]].
*** [[spoiler:The gigantic fleet battles which take place at the end of some [[StoryArc story arcs]] are just [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome EPIC]].]]

* FriendlyFireProof: Subverted everywhere but in a few areas where shipwrecks needed to be [[MadeOfIndestructium immutable]] to prevent the game from becoming {{Unwinnable}}
* GreyAndGreyMorality: {{TX2}} avoids meddling with the extremely ambiguous (both morally and in terms of information) main plot of the original, and instead builds many {{StoryArc}}s to compensate.
* KilledOffForReal: Played straight with everyone but the player - even Kate Morgental can die now. (Doing so does NOT result in an {{Unwinnable}} game anymore.

* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: The Luminous are much more fleshed out and have loot that is actually worth something. Autons are now actually useful, throughout the duration of the game (you may still need to upgrade however).

* FreudWasRight: Hopefully averted. All the ships added were designed to intentionally avert this trope - one even went under re-design for good measure.
